Scott and Ryan once again talk to each on the phone for an hour. In this call, which is being shared with you, they catch up on what they were doing moments before the call before launching into some Pinball Map updates. Such as: they have both been separately writing for the This Week in Pinball (TWIP) newsletter; the map tiles are now self-hosted; and there were some website design updates. Meanwhile, Joe leaves a voicemail about a literal dream machine, and Ryan leaves a voicemail with a scene report from AYCE Gogi. There are also quizzes and more.

What did we do this summer? Traveled a bit. Did not play that much pinball. One of us bowled. Both ate nachos. Amidst all that, quite a few Pinball Map updates were made. We discuss about some of these updates in excruciating detail, and skip some others. Ryan quizzes Scott about geography. Scott answers correctly. Scott produces a scene report from Slim's. Scott makes guarantees, while Ryan promises nothing.

Scott and Ryan catch up about upcoming travel plans, and share feelings about taking people's credits when they walk away (it's fine). They also bring everyone up to speed on a hot new Pinball Map feature. Additionally, there are follow-ups to last month's questions, a scene report from Jacob, a scene report from Scott, concerns about sourcing location data from other sources, and remembrances of two administrators who recently died.

Scott and Ryan talk about map tiles again, unfortunately. But also shoes, RSS, Buenos Aires, bat games, beanies, Kineticist links, 10,000 locations, and more. Ryan stretches his interview chops to the limit and asks Cory Casella, co-director of the Los Angeles Pinball League and Belles & Chimes Los Angeles, what is that all about. And asks other questions. Scott gives a scene report of the Sandy Hut in Portland, and Ryan returns his call and gives a scene report of Revenge Of in Los Angeles.

Mappin' Around is back! FOR GOOD. After 4 long years of nothingness we are once again wielding the mics. In this episode, we attempt to recap what has happened and why things are the way they are. Scott gives a scene report from The Standard. Ryan lists a bunch of businesses that have 'cade' in their name. We talk about the sustained popularity of the map and a dog getting skunked.

We talk about collecting cartridges, DNS issues, hand sanitizers, and some more.

We share lots of news items, the main one being a big app update. We also spend some moments with Beth, discussing the impact the app development has had on her life. Clark shares his thoughts on the app.

We celebrate our 2018 accomplishments, wallow a bit in early 2019 setbacks, and then look forward to a bright future where everything’s great.

In this episode we talk about the total app rewrite, and Scott interviews Beth about it. Scott also interviews Elijah about being a pinball technician. And pinball poet laureate of the west, Daniel O’Mahoney, shares a pinball poem! Enjoy?

We interview Portland operator Chris Rhodes about his new bar/arcade, Wedgehead! We discuss about what to do with your hands when it’s not your turn to play.
