Folks, this is Mark Levin. America. Does anybody really believe that Washington, especially Congress, is going to reduce the debt? They're not. In fact, nobody even talks about it anymore. That has a massive impact on the value of the dollar and the currency. And it's only a matter of time, in my humble opinion, that this is going to implode. Now, look, diversification. That's what real experts talk about. It's a hedge against instability. My friends at Monetary Gold have been around since 2000 witnessing multiple economic setbacks. If you call now and say Mark sent you, it will cover up to lifetime of your IRA fees on qualified accounts. Call monetary gold now at 8-77-now-Gold. That's 8-77-now-Gold. 8,77-now-Gold. Performance may vary. You should always consult your financial and tax professional. He's here. He's here now. Broadcasting from the underground command post deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker somewhere under the brick and steel of a nondescript building, we've once again made contact with our love. Sam. Hello, America. Mark Levin here. Our number, 8773-8138-1187-7381-3811. Often we like to delve into the world of theoretical, philosophical. We can get into the other stuff later, and we shall. But I came across a piece that drew my attention, and I think it'll draw yours, too, at the Gatestone Institute, an international policy council. It's a fantastic organization. And so there's a piece there called Suicidal Empathy Already, right? Your antennae go up. Is the West Committing Suicide by Compassion? By Drew Godfrey? According to Gad Saad's thesis, empathy becomes misdirected into a type of benevolent altruism that prioritizes the perceived feelings and needs of marginalized quote, unquote, or external groups at the expense of the survival, security and interests of one's own group and its values. I thought immediately, wait a minute, that's the radical left in this country and how they coddle Islamists and Marxists and people of that sort. Even though it destroys our own country, the outcome is the weakening and ultimately the destruction of the very civilization that expressed this emotion. Again, suicidal empathy. The problem, this concept of suicidal empathy unfortunately does not work as the term predicts. It ends up killing its host. What we observe in many people is a highly selective empathy, precisely the opposite of caring about everyone. What shows up as an exclusive and exclusionary concern for certain groups. Asylum seekers, ethnic minorities, people unhappy with their gender, radicalized, racialized people, whatever that means, criminals, for example. At the same time paired with indifference or even open hostility toward other groups that might be equally minoritized, victimized or marginalized. What becomes harder to defend as genuine empathy is the increasingly common pattern of displaying loud, intense public identification with distant victims while simultaneously showing indifference, contempt, or outright hostility toward victims right under one's nose. Here in one's own society, whose suffering is visible and immediate, we might be dealing with a moral posture, a political performance, a selected narrative by virtue or social status. In short, selective empathy with selective hostility or indifference nearby is not higher, purer, or more universal. It is just a posture wearing empathy's clothes. You know, I came up with this phrase, selective moral outrage many decades ago in a piece I wrote for National Review. That was the title. I gave the piece, Selective Moral Outrage. And I think this not exact, but has a sort of a similar underpinning, if you will. Many people seem to be incubating a rage, looking for somewhere to go. Dogmas that admit no dissent provide a perfect vehicle for that. Dogmas that admit no dissent. Now, this new rage appears to have nothing to do with empathy or even selective empathy, but more with envy, frustration, and possibly opportunism, perhaps accompanied by large payments. When there are real protesters out on the streets risking their lives, as recently in Iran, there's scant support. What vibrates in Western outbursts on the left and on the right appears to be rage looking for a cause and constantly feeding on new dogmas. Sadly, there seems to be no shortage of them. The theory of suicidal empathy, taken up and developed by Canadian professor God Saad in his book Suicidal Empathy Dying to be Kind, describes a psychological and societal condition in which excessive or misguided compassion leads Western societies, particularly, it seems, progressive ones, to adopt self destructive attitudes and policies that will ultimately succeed in destroying them. The process, however well intentioned, is a form of civil civilizational suicide. And we see this all throughout Europe, do we not? And we see this all throughout the United States, particularly in blue cities and blue states. The admittance of Islamists in this country is exactly that. Now, according to Saad's thesis, empathy becomes misdirected into a type of benevolent altruism that prioritizes the perceived feelings and needs of marginalized or external groups at the expense of the survival, security and interests of one's own group and its values. The outcome is the weakening and ultimately the destruction of the very civilization that expresses this emotion. Saad draws on evolutionary psychology to suggest that empathy is a natural adaptive mechanism designed to promote cooperation within small groups such as family or the community. In modern societies, though, this mechanism has become hijacked by big hearted supporters who take pride in what they see as a virtue of caring about others. The problem? This concept of suicidal empathy unfortunately doesn't work. And as I said, as the term predicts, it ends up killing its host. Now, suicidal empathy, according to Saad, rests on the fundamental misunderstanding empathy of Feeling can open you up to feel and with and understand another. Or you can stay closed, enabling you to stay safely detached. Half measures selective empathy, totally carefully curated, presumably deserving groups can become something else entirely. Political manipulation, pity, narcissistic, preening empathy can embrace humanity or many people may not exist whatsoever. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb inside his skin and walk around it at Harper Lee Road and To Kill a Mockingbird. Ideally, empathy might extend to everyone. Love thy neighbor as thyself, perhaps impossible to do, still a noble aspiration. But what we observe in many people is a highly selective empathy, precisely the opposite of caring about everybody. What shows up is an exclusive and exclusionary concern for certain groups asylum seekers, ethnic minorities, people unhappy with their gender, racialized people, whatever that means again, criminals, for example. The same time paired with indifference or even open hostility toward other groups that might be equally minoritized, victimized or marginalized. Consider the case of our Jewish compatriots, he writes. It is no exaggeration to say that the contemporary Western left has grown accustomed to the mistreatment of American and European Jews, even though they consist of only the tiniest minority in Europe. Only 0.16% of Europe's population, as well as the U.S. only 2.3% of that population. What then is the criterion for this so called selective empathy? We are told victimhood. Jews are based on evidence that probably applies just as well to successful Christians and other non Jews are deemed dominant. How is a Jewish child beaten in the street in Europe and targeted only for being Jewish dominant? Because we're told Jews are not victims. Look, they say, at what is happening in Gaza. European and American Jews, however, have no connection to Gaza except through the smoky notion of collective responsibility, which holds that any crime committed by one person renders all people from the group responsible, whether blacks, Jews, whites, Asians, Muslims, non Muslims, and so on. This notion of collective responsibility, as opposed to judging people one by one based on individual merits, has even since earliest biblical times been considered immoral. Let not the sins of the father be visited upon the children. Having empathy does not require to be universal toward everyone any more than love, friendship, and loyalty are required to be universal. Empathy, like all emotions, is elastic. One minute you might love someone, the next minute hate them. You could enjoy the deepest, most intense love for your spouse and children, but feel only mild benevolence or even indifference toward the rest of humanity. No one would seriously claim that your feelings are therefore fake or not real love. You can be profoundly moved by the suffering of abused children in your own neighborhood, while remaining relatively unmoved by equally terrible suffering occurring in distant countries you've never visited. This does not make your empathy inauthentic. Empathy follows exactly the same path. It is probably common to feel more deeply about those who are physically close. Family, friends, neighbors, those who belong to our group, quote, unquote, same language, culture, history, and so forth. And those whose pain we can see, hear or share directly. The farther someone is removed from us, space, time, culture, identity, the more deliberate mental work might be required to generate a comparable emotional response. This isn't hypocrisy, it's simply human nature. What becomes harder to defend as genuine empathy is the increasingly common pattern of displaying loud, intense public identification with distant victims, while simultaneously showing indifference, contempt or outright hostility toward victims right under one's nose. Here in one's own society, whose suffering is visible in the media. The psychological mechanism of contemporary Western Left seems to be unfolding in two stages. First came the collapse of Marxism in 1989. With the Berlin Wall being dismantled piece by piece was also the main ideology of the Left undergoing deconstruction. Marxism was the dominant ideological framework of the Western Left through much of the 20th century. The Age of Extremes 1994 the communist historian Eric Hobsbawm argues that Marxism was the dominant intellectual and ideological framework of the Western Left for much of the 20th century. And he explained that Communist party, socialist movements, trade unions, left wing intellectual circles largely operated within conceptual horizons shaped by Marxist theory. Even they were not strictly Marxists in doctrine. In other words, Marxism structured how the Left understood history, capitalism, class political struggle. Through most of this century and still the case with obviously New York City, the collapse of Soviet communism in 1989 symbolized the failure Marxism as a viable political economic system. Therefore, the Left lost its core ideology and began searching for replacements. The hatred of the west of capitalism, of so called inequality has been around at least since the writings of Marx. In the west. This rejection of what exists and of what has founded our civilization's predominance has been a constant at least since the French Revolution in 1789. Marxism later proposed a supposed solution, false and unachievable by claiming theoretical, even scientific coherence. None of that, however, has ever existed. And I'm going to take a break, which is tough, because I want to pick up where I left off. I think this is important because I want to comment on it when I'm done. There's not a lot left, actually, but a few paragraphs. So stick with me. We're gonna take a little ride together, little journey together. I'll be right back. All right, just a few more paragraphs. We'll wrap it up and then we can have a discussion about this. Remember, the topic is suicidal empathy. Hatred of the west, of capitalism, of so called inequality, has been around at least since the writings of Karl Marx. In the west, this rejection of what exists and of what has founded our civilizational predominance has been a constant, at least since the French Revolution in 1789. Marxism later proposed a supposed solution, false and unachievable, but claiming theoretical, even scientific coherence. None of that, however, has ever existed. This outrage and anger then seized upon a motley collection of ideological substitutes. Some good, such as the abolition of slavery and universal suffrage. Some not good, such as the abolition of borders and radical environmentalism, political Islam and the abolition of prisons. What appears lost in the freedom to disagree. Diverge from these new precepts and you exist and you exit humanity itself. You become a figure of evil. Anyone who departs from these fragile dogmas, even marginally, is now denounced, excommunicated, morally disqualified, and wherever possible, socially destroyed. Many people seem to be incubating a rage, looking for somewhere to go. Dogmas that admit no dissent provide a perfect vehicle for that. This new rage appears to have nothing to do with empathy or even selective empathy, but more with envy, frustration, possibly opportunism, perhaps accompanied by large payments. He's talking about Tucker Carlson there when there are real protesters out of the streets risking their lives. As recently in Iran, there's scant support. What vibrates in Western outbursts on the left and on the right appears to be rage. Looking for a cause and constantly feeling on new dogmas, feeding on new dogmas. Sadly, there seems to be no shortage of them. I think that's beautifully written and explaining suicidal empathy, and I think that's exactly right and it is suicidal. If we let one more person in this country who is a radical Islamist and we don't remove those who we can remove because of the cancer that they that they are spreading in this country, which is anathema to everything we stand for, we won't survive it. And that's what's meant by suicidal empathy. And what's also meant by suicidal empathy, in my view is it's really not empathy at all. It's false empathy. That's what it is. In other words, for some it may be real empathy or empathy that is false, but for others it's camouflage for evil. I'll be right back. Mark Levin, America's Tyranny Hunter call in now. 877-381-3811. I'm in the mood to stay on this. So we've talked now about suicidal empathy and you can see it with the war on ice, the war on law enforcement generally on behalf of vile and violent criminals and foreigners, illegal aliens, the importing of Islamists who have as their purpose the destruction of our culture in our society, and the promotion of Marxists throughout academia. Now, I want to layer something on top of this, and that is the use of language and how this is used, particularly by the Marxists, the Islamists, the left, to advance their agenda, used against you and me, Mr. And Mrs. America. And as I wrote in my book on power, there are endless treatises, ancient and new, on rhetoric and dialectic approaches to thought and communication. Rather than get into a long and largely esoteric inquiry and history of both, although I find it fascinating, it's more useful for the purposes of of my book to evaluate language as it relates to the present day applications of what I called negative and positive power. You know, the book on power, my book did very, very well, but it didn't do what I wanted it to do. I wanted people to start to analyze things and see them through the lens of this notion of positive and negative power. Language has many purposes, of course, but at its core language is about communication. There are many types of communication and many purposes for it as well. So I will organize them into two basic categories. The power of language and the power over language. The power of language and the power over language. Again, this distinction has been discussed over the ages and in recent times in an infinite number of ways. That said, I shall use them here to make certain fundamental points, understanding that they are distinguishable in significant ways. The pursuit and maintenance of negative power. Negative power would be Marxism, Islamism, much of what the Democrat party promotes. That is power that seeks to seize your fundamental liberties, your unalienable rights, those things that we believe in through the Judeo Christian belief system and the Enlightenment. Seize it, bring it into the hands of a relative few, whether that relative few is overseeing a centralized, you know, Leviathan or a Mob. A mob. Either way, it's tyranny. The pursuit and maintenance of negative power require the utilization of negative techniques of communication, including manipulation. Again, think of There are current debates, deception, repetition, deceit, concealment, distraction and fear mongering. The entire immigration and deportation debate in language that is intimidating, self serving and orchestrated. It is an approach that seeks to arouse prejudices and stifle independent thoughts. The purpose is to exert power over language and to control the population without moral reservations. Indeed, morality itself is said to be relative or nothing but an abstraction, concealing the rot of open societies and democracies and obfuscating the exploitation of the people in the political context. When language is applied this way, it strikes a central part of the democratic system, denying the body politic you information with which to make knowledgeable qualitative and collective decisions. Of course, this is the intention of its practitioners. Moreover, communication of this sort exists for the purpose of arousing and angering the citizenry and exhorting them to action that is destructive of the existing society and their own lives and lifestyles in service to the demagogue and his aims. Is this not exactly what's going on, Mr. Producer? In as much as the people and their consent are the only legitimate and just source of government, the entire enterprise becomes corrupt and malevolent. Unfortunately, citizens acquiesce to it, regurgitate it, or even demand it, where applicable, vote for it, believing there is no other course, or that it is the best course, until it's too late to reverse course without an abrupt and often violent revolt. But for many, suffering persists for an extended period of time. Now, for example, prior to the Russian Revolution, Britannica finds that in Vladimir Lenin's 1902 pamphlet, which of course I acquired, not his only pamphlet, there were many printed. I have one what is to be done? He argues, quoting Britannica, that the propagandist, whose primary medium is print, explains the causes of social inequities such as unemployment or hunger, while the agitator, whose primary medium is speech, seizes on the emotional aspects of these issues to arouse his audience to indignation or action. Agitation is thus the use of political slogans and half truths. Again, think of what's going on right now to exploit the grievances of the public and thereby to mold public opinion and mobilize public support. Propaganda, by contrast, is the reasoned use of historical and scientific arguments to indoctrinate the educated and so called enlightened members of society, such as party members, said Lenin. Now here's the kicker. The combination of agitation with propaganda, that is Activism with speech, is Britannica further explains agitprop. A G I T P R O P. You heard me using it earlier in the week. The term agitprop originated as a shortened form of agitation and propaganda. The section of the Central Committee, secretary to the Communist Party, the Soviet Union under Lenin. Agitation and propaganda, the Department of the Central Committee was established in the early 1920s and was responsible for determining the content of all official information, overseeing political education in schools, watching over all forms of mass communication, and mobilizing public support for party programs. Now, to a significant extent, this is what's going on right now. Mobilizing public support for democrat party programs again for Marxism and other forms. I write of autocrat ideologies and governing systems. Negative power is exercised through language that is tailored to lord over the people and control the society and culture. Language is a tool of the state that serves the state. It takes on official character. It is limited, prescribed and restricted. It compels certain types of speech. Sound familiar? And suppresses other forms. Censorship. In essence, it is organized propaganda, as the late Hannah Arendt, historian and philosopher, defined. Simply put, it is thought control over the people. Arendt explained further that what she called totalitarian propaganda involves the use of indirect, veiled and menacing hints of violence to non believers. Claims of scientific prophecy is distinguished from old fashioned appeals to the past and to absolutist systems which suppress men from their history of the human race. It employs absurd predictions to avoid discussion, for only the future can reveal its merits. And she observes that totalitarian propaganda highlights socialism and race as two key categories of exploitation because they neatly lend themselves to group identification and exploitation, that is Class and ethnic warfare. It's not by mistake that class and ethnic warfare, among other forms of exploitation, are employed incessantly by American Marxists. So the goal is to subvert the civil society and the principles, values and beliefs on which it was established, corrupt the public spirit and civic harmony, and reject compromise and accommodation. Again, you see this more and more, do you not? The people must be unmoored and cleansed of their own history, faith and family. Service to the totalitarian state in its utopian fiction is the highest calling, if not the only calling. And all other forms of experience and socialization are impediments and hindrances to the cause. That's not her, that's me writing this. Of course, democracies are not immune to this plight. In fact, they're susceptible to it. Negative power, and therefore negative language, exists in all societies, albeit to a different degree than in totalitarian regimes, which I earlier referred to as soft negative power. However, an examination of its influence in democracy first requires review of positive language. In democracies, positive language emphasizes the power to, whereas negative language emphasize the power over. Positive language taps into the individual and societal benefits of communication, including persuasion, interaction, truth seeking and the competition of ideas. It is language that is solicitous, factual, respectful, tolerant, informative and well intentioned. Now, when you see these debates on Sunday and the Republicans don't even know what they're doing and the Democrats either know or it's knee jerk positive language, that is, you hear Republicans trying to explain, no, no, no, we're not cutting Medicaid, we're just making sure xyz. And then you hear the Democrats saying, you want people to starve, you want people to go without health care. It's a right. So the Democrats are practicing negative language and the Republicans are practicing positive language. The power of language is to reason positive language and to think freely and in the political realm to encourage debate, inquiry, deliberation, contemplation and learning. Thus, free speech is an essential value and precept in the application and exercise of positive power in an open society and democracy. Now, while free speech may and often does lead to societal consensus, its exact meaning is debated and disputed. Even now, it does not lend itself to an easy definition. It is better understood through a contextual description and elucidation by example. And I go into this in great detail. You know, if he didn't buy the book on power, I think it's like 2 cents on Amazon right now. I mean, I'm overstating it, but it's a very, very, very important book for understand what's going on in this country today, whether it's the Democrats and immigration and deportation, whether it's how the media communicates with you. This idea of positive power, negative power, soft negative power, what I also call authoritarian democracy. These are very, very important points to understanding what's swirling around you. And I'm quite serious. Let me look this up while you're here. I haven't looked this up in months and months and months because On Power came out, I believe July 29th of last year. Let's see, as these books get older, they get very, very affordable on power. Amazon, let's see. Give me two seconds. I'm looking it up. See that? And it's only in hard copy. We didn't put it out in paper copy. $13.49. That's it. Now, I don't make a lot of money in a book that sells for $13.49. So I'm not doing this for money. I'm doing this for knowledge. This is one of the greatest books I've ever written, along with Liberty and Tyranny and American Marxism and there have been other good ones, but these are my three best books on power. And On Power is written in plain English, as you can hear, but very heavy concepts that I break down that's taking place in our own country right now. I don't think you'll find it in too many retail stores, but you'll find it on Amazon. It's just $13.49. Again, I'm not pushing this for money. I don't need this money. And it's not a lot of money. It's not a lot of money at all. It's what's in the book that I want you to familiar yourselves with. If you're listening to this show, I know this is something that you want to know. I'll be right back. I also coined this term, I think I did, called authoritarian democracy. I think that kind of sums things up pretty well when it comes to the Democrat Party, the Marxists and the Islamists. Now what does that mean? That means you go through the motions of voting, popular participation in your government. But more and more the government has nothing to do with the voting, the outcome of the vote. It's detached from it, like the massive bureaucracy, like the unelected judges, like the Democrat Party that is constantly trying to sabotage a president that was elected in a landslide. Don't get me wrong, they can certainly oppose him, but that's not what they seek. It's a party that uses impeachment as a policy tool. And this is a party that seeks to destroy our immigration laws first when they were in power by defying them, by destroying them, and then when they're out of power by using violence, utter violence, with these hateful groups, whether they be communist groups, anti Semitic groups, socialist groups, whatever the group, and they come together in common cause and that's what to destroy the country. So this is what I mean by authoritarian democracy and you can call it authoritarian Republicanism. Not really interested in splitting hairs right now. I'm just explaining the point. And I think that actually better describes this notion of suicidal empathy, although they're not mutually exclusive. And I think the way that language is used, what I call negative language, and you hear this constantly now from Democrat politicians, from hosts and so called journalists, from entertainers when they use things like dictatorships and Gestapo and all these other things, these slogans, they're intended to incite confound anger. What they are not intended to do is to create a legitimate debate thinking process, to gather knowledge. They're the complete opposite of that. That's why I call it negative language versus positive language. And when you have a negative view of society and a negative view of government, in the sense that you reject the declaration in the Constitution, one centralized authority in your party, the Democrat Party, much like the Communist Party, they seek negative power. They seek the destruction of checks and balances. Despite their propaganda against Trump, they want to pack the Supreme Court, create their own ideological politburo, if you will, change the voting system, as they're trying to do right now in Virginia, so they can never lose. And yet you still vote. That's authoritarian democracy and that's what they stand for. We'll be right back. This segment of the podcast is exclusively sponsored by PureTalk. Broadcasting from the underground command post deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker somewhere under the brick and steel of a nondescript building, we've once again made contact with our leader, Mark Levin. Hello, America. Mark Levin here. Our number, 8773-8138-1187-7381-3811. Yes. Yabba Dabba Doo in London in 2007, warning us. An Islamist, warning us. They've been telling us, telling us over and over again what they're going to do. They tell us today. They told us yesterday. They told us almost 20 years ago. Ladies and gentlemen, England is gone. Those of you who've gone to England of your lifetimes, I know we did 20 years ago, maybe 18 years ago, had a wonderful time all over England and London in particular. It's not the same place. You think you're in the Middle east. You're not safe anymore. Free speech is gone. And that includes what you might wear if you're a patriotic Brit, pretty much have to keep your mouth shut. If you're Jewish, you take your life into your own hands. Oh, I'm not kidding. That's what London has turned into. That's what Paris has turned into. And that's what New York is turning into. Right before our Eyes, the culture, the belief systems, the violence. It's no longer limited to the Middle East. Now it's here. And it's spreading like a cancer, intentionally so, because the objective is to wipe out your religion and replace it with Islam. The objective is to wipe out our culture. Now, I'm just repeating what Yassir Qadhi said in London. Hat tip. Islam invasion on X. Cut to go. Muslims living in Western secular democracies. We're talking about Europe, Canada, America, Australia. Just the western secular democracies. That's it. What is our goal as a community? What is our final result that we're aiming for when we're living here? Establish a khilafah where we live. Do we wish to turn American England into Islamic republics and states, or do we wish to convert the entire population? Our goal, living amongst all of you, is to wipe away your religion and to replace it with Islam. There you go. There you go, folks. I'm collecting these and I'm going to keep playing them. If I say it, it's Islamophobia. If they say it, what is it? It's the plan. Let me ask you a question. 20, 30 years from now, what do you think our country is going to look like if we don't stop this? I want you to think about this. What is our country going to look like if we don't stop this? What's it going to be like? We will not enjoy the lifestyles that we have. We will not enjoy the free speech that we have. We will be attacked, though, verbally, legally and physically. These newsreels or videos that you see from Europe, that's going to happen here. It is happening here. The goal is to use immigration to come into what he calls these Western secular societies and destroy them. You already see it around you right now, And the strategic placement of mosques and Muslim community centers and the concentration of the populations. Dearborn, Michigan, used to be the home of the ford Motor Company, Mr. Producer Patterson, New Jersey. That basically was an Orthodox Jewish community. Really not much anymore. Plano, Texas, one of the reddest of red places in Texas. While they're working on that right now, and Houston and Austin, it's key that they take down Texas and now Florida. Florida. What is this nation going to look like? I read that article, remember, on suicidal empathy. I would just call it suicidal to bring people into our country, to allow them to come into our country, refuse to assimilate into our culture, but instead seek to destroy it from within. Those people should not be allowed in our country and Traditionally, people like that would never be allowed in our country ever, under any circumstances. This is the problem. If the Democrats change our immigration laws and our deportation requirements, if they effectively destroy the ability of ICE to track down, detain and deport people, this is what the Democrat Party is up to. The Democrat Party is going to use our Bill of Rights, our kindness. They're going to use it to empower themselves. And they don't care if that involves Islamists and Marxists or any other ists. That's who they are. That's what they believe. They don't love the country. The leaders of that party do not love the country. Now, there's obviously independent or individual Democrats who have fought for the country and are patriotic. Maybe you're a Democrat by family, by practice. Maybe there's some things you like better than the Republican Party, but I'm not talking about that. Those are political differences. I'm talking about utter and complete societal differences. A rejection of the American founding, an attack on the constitutional construction. I want to play this again, loud and clear. Yes, sir. Kadi in London, England. And you've heard this scores of times. I've played it many times. Not him, others. Stated in different ways, but the same bottom line. This organization care, should be abolished. Whatever it takes, some law or whatever, it should be abolished. We cannot have an organization in our country that spreads the beliefs of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and is in fact destroying our society. They are succeeding step by step. And they've explained. They want to take over the legal community, the teaching community, the judiciary. They want to have 50 Islamists in Congress who have all kinds of power and control. Because we know that Congress is always pretty close in terms of Republican Democrat numbers. They see the Democrat Party as the organism through which they will operate. And the Democrat Party embraces them, like Mandami, like Talib, like Omar, like the lieutenant Governor of Virginia. And the Democrat Party, much like the Islamists because of its Marxist influence, they will lie and lie and lie for power. And I'm Going to give you a perfect example when we come back. I'll be right back. You know what Pure Talk's favorite holiday is? President's Day. Because they believe wireless service should only cost you a couple of presidents. There's certain shows you like so you don't feel pulled in one direction or the other. Seriously. 8:00pm Eastern Time on Fox. And then Sunday we're going to have Jonathan Turley and Douglas Murray. Just some great subjects we're going to get into. And my opening on Sunday, I'm going to discuss at great depth Iran, great depth. Aspects you haven't been told about, you may not know about. I'm just not one of these who believes we should keep negotiating with the Iranian regime. In my take on this now, I might as well share it with you. I posted about it very briefly. Iran is becoming the North Korea of the Middle East. Now you'll hear the backbenchers blurted out and say, oh, like I've said, they don't say anything interesting or profound or unique because they don't think about this stuff, which I do morning, noon and night. Now, what do I mean? Iran is becoming the North Korea of the Middle East. Iran right now is utterly and completely impoverished. It has an unemployment rate of over 40%. It has an inflation rate of over 40%. The value of its currency is worthless. One fifth to one fourth of its people are living in abject poverty. A majority of the people don't eat three square meals a day. They're running out of water constantly. They're running out of electricity. But then, of course, they've shut that off. If you look on a map tonight or look at a satellite picture, if you could, you would see that Iran is dark, much like North Korea. You will see that it is a concentration camp now, much like North Korea, that the people are impoverished, they're destitute, and they either go along and keep their mouths shut or they will be executed on the spot. You've got prison camps now, just like North Korea. And yet North Korea now has 50 nuclear weapons tonight, and they add six to seven every year. And ballistic missiles technology they have shared with the Iranian regime, as has Communist China. All the resources, all the resources of the regime in Iran stolen from the people. Enrich the hierarchy and go towards the military, go towards their missile programs, their nuclear program. Now we knocked out those nuclear sites, and they're building new ones. And they'll build new ones again and again and again until Khomeini is taken out, until he's removed. And so I feel it's my obligation as somebody who has a television show and a radio show and soon to have his own video podcast program to use these platforms to communicate with you, Mr. And Mrs. America, to communicate with people in our administration and in Congress, because what the hell good is it otherwise? You got guys smoking pot on their podcasts saying the most outrageous thing because they want cl. I'm not into all that crap. I'm just not. Now, what I said before the break is the Democrat Party lies and lies and lies for power. And it does. We had three candidates running for statewide office in the Commonwealth of Virginia. All three posed as moderates. The Lieutenant governor was and is an Islamist every bit as much as Mondami. She's a dangerous woman. The attorney general is a nut job, but the governor, the Governor Spanberger, was even promoted by Republicans on some of our favorite TV shows as a moderate who worked at the CIA and so forth and so on. And she campaigned as a moderate. And she wouldn't talk about her views on transgender operations for children. She wouldn't talk about her views on taxes. She wouldn't do it. And the media didn't press her in Virginia or anywhere else. And she won big. Now, just listen to this short clip From ABC News 7, the local affiliate of The ABC News Network. Listen to this. Cut 13 go. You may have seen 7News's video showing the long list of taxes Virginia Democrats down in Richmond have introduced as session is underway, despite them running on making your life more affordable. And last year's election. Well, I'm tracking a couple of new tax bills for you. They include a ride share tax. So this would tax every lyft, every Uber, 4.3%. And here in Northern Virginia, where Uber and Lyft and Rideshare do most of their business in the Commonwealth, it would be even higher. 6.2%. You would be paying on every Lyft and Uber ride. But that's not all. They're also introducing a tax that would tax fantasy sports contests. And it goes on and on and on. All these things that people use. These aren't billionaire taxes. These aren't millionaire taxes. And that's why I've told you over and over again, I don't understand how the Republicans lose the battle of the affordability debate. I really don't. They could start with a gallon of gasoline. And they're going to raise taxes on that too, by the way. They're going to raise taxes on everything that you use in Virginia and, and put taxes on things that you've never had taxes on before, like Uber and Lyft and so forth. And Northern Virginia is where the heaviest population is concentrated with a few other areas of the state, but mostly in Northern Virginia, which is where they get the bulk of their Democrat votes. And they're taxing the morons in Northern Virginia who voted for them 6.2% on every Lyft and Uber ride, the rest of the state, 4.3%. And you have suckers out there who are going to say, I can afford that. We can afford that. Really. And if the price of eggs went up 6.2%, what would you be saying? And if there were new taxes on something that was never taxed before, what would you be saying? These are affordability issues. And here the prices are going up because the state government is making them go up. And they're going to increase income tax rates for the people who live in Virginia. Oh yeah, they're going to create a new rate for the so called rich, which means anybody who's not poor Virginia is going to turn into a dark blue state. People are going to be running out of here all because they voted for liars, frauds and phonies Democrats. I'll be right back. You know what Pure Talk's favorite holiday is? Presidents Day. This is the octagon of talk radio, the Mike Levin Show. Call him now at 877-381-3811. All right, I guess I have to discuss this to some extent. Don Lemon. Don Lemon is a prima donna. Don Lemon draws, tries to draw attention to himself. Drama. And Don Lemon is not a journalist, okay? He gives his opinions. He gives them online. He used to give them on cnn. If you can't make it at cnn, you can't make it anywhere because that's like the bottom of the barrel, that in Ms. Lsd. And so what happens is we have a church service last Sunday. The pastor, the parishioners, they bring their children, little kids. And so these communist socialists, Islamists name them, they decide, they strategize in advance using their very sophisticated communication activities, that they're going to go into this church in the middle, the parishioners praying, middle of services, because they believe the pastor is with ice. And that's exactly what they do. And they disrupt the parishioners and the pastor. They disrupt their service, their prayers to God. Turns out they've also blocked off all the entries. And Don Lemon was there. He didn't just happen to be there. He knew exactly what was going to happen. He knew exactly what was going to take place. And he shoves a microphone in the pastor's face. And so he's part of it. He's part of the mob. He's part of the conspiracy. And in our country, you're not allowed to do that. You're not allowed to. To protest and interrupt religious services. Can you imagine if that, if that's allowed. If that's allowed to come out of Pandora's box. Don Lemon was part of it. He wasn't there as a reporter. There was nothing to report. But let's say he was. He's still not permitted to do it. It's not a First Amendment issue. When you are disrupting by physically forcing your way into a church service for the purpose of disrupting it, that's about as un American as it gets. And so he committed a crime, allegedly, under the so called face Act, a crime, as did the others and the media, almost to a man and woman, even though we don't believe in men and women anymore. But you get the point. Have attacked the Trump administration of Pam Bondi, saying, this is it, democracy's over. They targeted Don Lemon. No, Don Lemon targeted the church with the others. The media in America are so corrupt, as the President says, so thoroughly leftist and Democrat, that they're destroying the First Amendment and free speech for everybody else. So Pam Bondi had this to say. Cut 14. Go. Make no mistake, under President Trump's leadership and this administration, you have the right to worship freely and safely. And if I haven't been clear already, if you violate that sacred right, we are coming after you. Mm. Todd Blanche is the deputy attorney general. He's very, very good guy as well. At a press conference today. Cut 15. Go. Do you have a reaction to the arrest of Don Lennon overnight? Do you have a reaction to what? To Don Lemon's arrest overnight. Do I have a reaction to it? I don't know what that means. What are you looking for me to do, Jump up and down? No, I don't have a reaction to it. I don't know that his. That the charges are unsealed yet. So, no, I can't. I'm not going to comment on that. So just like prior to this, the issue was Alex Preddy the whole time. Alex Preddy. Alex Preddy. Alex Preddy. Now the issue is Don Lemon. Don Lemon. Don Lemon. Don Lemon. You'd think this is the only thing going on in the country, in the world. No, these are agenda driven. These are agenda driven. People are murdered in this country every day. Cops are murdered in this country. You don't even hear about it most of the time. You don't even hear about it most of the time. But if the murder. If the murder can. Can be used to. To push forward some kind of ideological agenda, then they will create martyrs. Other people are nameless, faceless. They don't care. You'll commit. You'll create martyrs. We have anywhere in a given year from 12,000 to 16,000 murders. That's a lot. We had in 2024 almost 3,000 people murdered by illegal aliens. Did you know that? You're going to learn a lot. Sunday, during my opening statement. Excuse me. Saturday I focus on immigration, Sunday on Iran. I'm going to get into all this stuff. It'll cause people's heads to spin. Not yours. You're going to really. You're going to say how come we weren't told this before? But. But that's the truth now. It has been released in the past few hours. The charges against Don Lemon and our friend over at Right Scoop, Brian, he posted them. I'm trying to buy 30 seconds here so I can pull them up. Just give me a second. Here we go. And here in part is what it says. And he's not the only one. The city's church is a Christian house of worship located in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is the charging document. On the morning of Sunday January 18th, at approximately 10:30am the church's pastor was leading the congregation liturgical service. In that service, the church's pastor and congregation were then exercising and seeking to exercise the first amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship. A right that is also protected by a federal statute codified at Title 18, U.S. code Section 248, the so called face Act. After the service commenced, a group of approximately 20 to 40 agitators, including all of the defendants named in this indictment, and that includes Don Lemon, entered the church in a coordinated takeover style attack and engaged in acts of oppression, intimidation, threats, interference and physical obstruction alleged herein. As a result of defendants conduct, the pastor and congregation were forced to terminate the church's worship service. Congregants fled the church building out of fear that their safety and other congregants took steps to implement an emergency plan. And young children were left to wonder, as one child put it, if their parents were going to die. So they were traumatized, as you can imagine. Count one, 18 USC Section 241. The allegations set forth are re alleged and incorporated herein by reference beginning on an unknown date and continuing to on or about January 18th in the state and district of Minnesota defendants and they list them, including Donnie, by the way, his name is Don Ronaldo Lemon. Reynaldo conspired and agreed with one another and with other persons known and unknown to the grand jury. They're indicted by a grand jury to injure, oppress, threaten and intimidate multiple persons, including the Clergy, staff and congregants of the citizens church, the free exercise and enjoyment of the rights and privileges secured to them by the laws of the United States and because of such persons having exercised such right, namely exercise of their first amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship as secured by Title 18 USC Section 2, 4 8C, all in violation of that title. In order to achieve the objective of the conspiracy, defendants, and they name two of them together with other persons unknown to the grand jury, organized the operation targeting the church which they dubbed Operation Pull Up. Operation Pull up and promoted it on the Internet via Instagram accounts. And defendants met at a shopping center for a pre op briefing during which time Armstrong and Allen advised other co conspirators, including defendants Kelly, Don Ronaldo, Lemon, Lundy Cruz Fort and so forth about the target of their operation, that is the city's church, and provided instruction on how the operation would be conducted once they arrived at the church. So understand Don Lemon was part of this. And once at the church, all the defendants entered the church to conduct a takeover style attack. They came through all the entry and exit ways and engaged in various acts and furtherance of conspiracy. In furtherance of this conspiracy and to accomplish the object thereof, defendants Armstrong, Allen, Kelly and Don Lemon, among others, together with other persons known and unknown to the grand jury, committed various covert, excuse me, various overt acts including but not limited to over at act one, posted a flyer on two Instagram accounts controlled by her and it goes on two January 17th, posted a flyer, in other words, trying to get as many people there as possible. Act 3. All of the named defendants gathered with approximately 20 to 30 other co conspirators for a pre operation briefing led by defendants Armstrong and Allen as the parking lot at Cub Foods act number four. At the pre operation briefing, defendants Armstrong and Allen advised other co conspirators, including Kelly and Don Lemon, among others, about the target of their operation city's church, and provided instruction on how the operation would be conducted once they arrived at the church. And he goes on in very explicit detail. And Don Lemon was not an observer who happened upon it. He wasn't just tipped off, he was in on it. In on it. Some journalist. Well, the media, the media has gotten away with this. They've gotten away with this, their activism and they're not reporting news, they're making news. Well here, here the alleged, the allegations are that actual federal crimes were committed and they shut down that church service and they intended to shut down that church service. And you should be shocked and Disgusted by the whole damn thing. And the fact that the overwhelming majority of the media in America today is coming to the defense of Don Lemon and his co defendants because they don't give a damn about faith or any of it. We'll be right back. You know what PureTalk's favorite holiday is? Presidents Day. Because they believe wireless service should only cost you a couple of presidents. So here's what Chuck Schumer said on the floor of the Senate today about Don Lemon. Just listen to how they twist this cut. 16. Go. Last night, federal agents arrested journalist Don Lemon in Los Angeles after he recently covered protest activities in Minnesota. Once again, by the way, Chuck Schumer was never concerned about journalist Mark LEVIN and the 13 emails that the January 6th committee got off my computer somehow, which basically didn't provide them with any assistance, but they were my private emails. Chuck Schumer wasn't concerned about journalist Mark Levin. Go ahead. Giving no differently from police states and authoritarian regimes across history. Police states, moron, and authoritarian regimes send in their thugs, pretend they're journalists or something else to shut down church services. That's what they do. It was these people and Don Lemon who disrupted people who are minding their own business, who were on church, in church, on a Sunday, praying, having a service, doing what we Americans like to do. When these outsiders intervened and imposed themselves and disrupted it, and the people had to leave and children were scared to death. That's what happened. You jackass. Go ahead. Did a journalist for the crime of doing his job. And let's be very clear. Yeah. This arrest is not just about one journalist in One incident. No, the arrest is a dark. Shut up, moron. I can't stand you. Next. Hakeem Jeffries, cut 17. Go. There should be an explicit prohibition on the detention and deportation of American citizens, period. Nobody is intentionally detaining, let alone deporting American citizens. This guy is a complete low life liar. A lot. You can't deport American citizens and you know it, you jerk, but you say it anyway. Go ahead and. Lawless agents who are brutalizing everyday Americans and law abiding immigrant families, targeting them violently in violation of the law. This man has blood on his hands. Let me repeat it so the whole world hears. Hakeem Jeffries with this kind of rhetoric day in and day out. He's a very stupid man, but he's got that negative language down, baby. Look what he said says about these brave men and women and ice. Look what he says and look who he defends. I'll be right back. With Donald Trump back in office, one of his biggest adversaries, top Democrat Dick Durbin of Chicago, is leading the charge to derail President Trump's agenda at every turn. And now Senator Durbin has a new scheme. A government takeover of your credit card. Right now, Americans have thousands of credit card options, all with equal strong security. But Durbin's plan could result in less security. That means more risk for your credit, your identity and your financial future. Durbin's bill isn't about helping consumers. It's a giveaway to corporate megastores, which could shift costs onto you while putting your rewards and fraud protections in jeopardy. We've seen Durbin's failed policies before. Broadcasting them from the underground command post deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker somewhere under the brick and steel of a nondescript building, we've once again made contact with our leader, Mark Levin. Hello, America. Mark Levin here. Our number. If you want to get in. You might want to call now. At the bottom of the hour, we'll take calls. 8773-813811-87733-8811, 73811. There's a science to this, you know. You call early, you have to hold, and if I take a call as soon as you hear me take a call, speed dial immediately have the number. Speed dial. That's how you do it. I used to do something like that. We didn't really have speed dial in the day, but when I would call, like, it's Friday, right? You want to hear a little bit of this, Mr. Producer? I was really hooked on talk radio even as a teenager. Let me put this down. Even as a teenager. I was 15, 16 years old. And I used to listen to a show called the Little Rascals. And the host was Bill Corsair. And the Corsairs are dear, dear friends of ours. And Bill's a Vietnam vet. And this was a show that had an enormous following. And it would be on, as I recall, Friday nights late into Saturday morning and Saturday nights late into Sunday morning. So it might start at 11 o', clock, something like that. But it would go on, or maybe midnight even, and it would go to 5 in the morning. And I would listen to it, all of it, and I loved it. And Bill Corsair was a fabulous host. He created this whole genre, the Little Rascals. So people would call in from all over Philadelphia, all over the country. Because it was WCAU back then. No, it wasn't. I forget the calling numbers. It doesn't really matter. And he had a huge following. So people would call in and they would give themselves special names, or he would give them special names. And maybe a couple times a year we would all get together. I did it once, and I was 14 or 15 years old. And I called myself. Ready for this, Rich? You know what it is? The Matzo Ball Kit. As a kid, I did a Matzo Ball kid. Now, the way it worked back then, some of you know, you only had a hardline phone. No such thing as a cell phone or anything like that. I mean, I used to get a walkie talkie from time to time at Radio Shack and share with my brother or friend. And that was a big deal. That was fun. But nobody even imagined the idea of a cell phone or an iPhone or anything like that. Here I am dating myself, you know, when I was young and I would hear people date themselves. I would say, why are they doing that? But I'm just telling you a little story about this. I was very excited when Friday night would roll around or Saturday night would roll around. I was 14 maybe. And I'd go all the way up to the attic, to the attic area or the top floor, I should say. Wasn't really an addict. And we had a phone in sort of this rec room, it's not as palatial as it sounds. My parents were quite middle class and they were fantastic, by the way. But the phone was in the hallway, so it had a long cord. So I had to sort of bring it all the way into the room, kind of shut the door because I didn't want to wake the rest of the family. In fact, my parents didn't even know I was doing it. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but no big deal. I just wanted to do it. And I didn't even have a push button phone. I had a dial phone. Back then, Mr. Producer, the push button phones were available, but we didn't change the phones. That's not the way we were. My parents made do what they had. And I'm only telling you this about strategizing to call into a program. So when I thought somebody was about to hang up, I would dial all the numbers but the last number. And if I had to wait too long, of course you would get the signal, you know, that the phone had hung up. So there was kind of an art to this thing. But I would say about two out of three times when I did that, I got through. Now you still are weight. I don't know if his board took five callers, seven callers, nine callers. But you still had to wait. So if somebody was talking, you might still be an hour and a half till you got on the show. It was a lot of fun. A lot of fun. Bill, I hope you're listening, and your beautiful wife. And I saw them both at my radio hall of fame, the dinner where all of we inductees were. And they were there. They're just great people. And so that's why I say you got to strategize when you're thinking of calling into a program. Excuse me like this, because typically you won't get in on the first try. Sometimes you will. Somebody's hung up and you just. You just hit the number. And that's rare, but it happens. But that's what I used to do. And then I'd get on the air and I was a little nervous, but I had to think, you know, a couple meaningless things I'd want to say. But Bill was a great host. He kind of bring you along. So tell me about this and tell me about that. It was just a ton of fun. We don't do radio that way anymore. In conservative talk radio again, I used to listen to WCAU and we had some very good hosts. I remember a guy who was kind of right center. But he was very sarcastic but very smart. Jole Spivak Jr. And he would eventually come to Washington. I don't know if he was on WMAL or where he was early on. And there were others. Then there was an FM station that went all talk, kind of more my style, had solid conservatives. And there was a, there was a host I really, really enjoyed named Dominic Quinn. That was the station when Bob Grant, the great, great Bob Grant, who would bounce between WABC and WOR in New York depending on who would fire him or depending on who would pay him. But he was and is a legend in and around New York and he was a dear, dear friend of mine. He became a dear friend of mine. But he was on the station, was an FM station, a talk station in Philadelphia for a period of time. I would call Bob from time to time. He didn't know who I was back then, but as I got into broadcasting and he got older, we became very good friends. I really didn't really love the guy. He was just great, smart, fun. But I remember calling into his program and you better be on your toes when you call into Bob Grant's program. Mr. Producer, you really. And I remember when Rush, when I first got to know Rush, man, he was so kind and so decent and I always said, I don't want to buy. He said, no, no, no, keep sending me stuff on the Constitution and the law and so forth and so on. And Cookie Kathleen Gleason, she was fantastic and she really was a major player. She encouraged me back then. Guess what I was doing, faxing the stuff to them. And I remember Rush said one day, what's wrong? Don't you know how to email? Because email just really kind of came out. I started to email and one day out of the blue, F. Lee Levin, the director of my legal department, I remember him starting that. And we became very, very close. And of course, we miss him a great deal. And in that mix was a was brother Hannity. He's a tremendous broadcaster. Hannity in radio and tv. He is. And as nice as they come. Sweetheart, sweetheart, we'll take a little break. I'm going to add on to this in a little bit. When we come back. We'll be right back. Mut Lovin Foreign. Sixteen years old, I kept harassing the program director at WCIU in Philadelphia, said you ought to have a show with a teenager host on the weekend, on a Saturday or Sunday, for an hour. I think, just to get me off his back. He brought me in with my parents and I did about a half hour, and that was that. And I obviously went on to do other things, became a lawyer and so forth. But I always listened to talk radio. I used to listen to Larry King when he was syndicating. He wasn't very political at the time. I would adjust my antenna on my Radio Shack transistor radio so I could hear Bob Grant and others up in New York as well as the guys in Philadelphia. And that's how I came across Rush Limbaugh listening to AM radio, where I thought the greatest talent was, and in many respects it still is. But I once said to him, when I was syndicated, right before I was syndicated, I said, how am I supposed to come after you? We had what was called in talk raid at the time, Murderers Row. It was Rush, Hannity and Levin. And we were all on wabc. We're on many, many of the same stations. Even though they were with one company, what was called Premier, now iheart, I was with another, which is now Cumulus. It was ABC Radio Network. But before I was syndicated, I said, what am I supposed to say after you and Hannity? You know what he said? You know, Mark, they heard from me, they've heard from Hannity, but they haven't heard from you. You just be Mark. You said, you have a lot to offer. You've got your personality, you have your wits, and you will do well, very, very well. And he and I, when he lost his hearing, we would text a ton. I often look at the last email he and I had. Same with Hannity, sometimes all three of us. But I asked him once, what do you think of the way I do radio? He said, I love it. He said, you know who you remind me of? I said, who? Joe Pine. I said, joe Pine. Joe P Y N E Pine. Bob Grant worked with him and for him for a period of time. I had a very fuzzy memory of who Joe Pine was. And then I looked it up and I said, okay. And this was a guy who really was good and he was really tough. He was very controversial. When he had particularly dumb callers or left wing callers, he'd get into fights with them. Again, I was. I certainly wasn't trying to copy Joe Pine. I wasn't really clear who he was or anybody else for that matter. Or anybody else for that matter. And his, his one line, his liner, he used to be, when he would get particularly angry with the caller would be, why don't you go gargle with. What would he say? Gargle with razor blades. Why don't you go gargle with razor blades? Something like that. I don't think I've ever said that, have I, Mr. Producer? It's a pretty funny line if you think about that. But anyway, again, I just do my own thing. I never heard Joe Pine. I don't, you know, I do my thing, which is me. What you hear is how I am. And sometimes we'll get into heavy stuff, sometimes we won't. Sometimes we'll get into colors, sometimes we won't, you know, just a little different from here to here. What I don't do is color by the numbers. And if there's one fault I have with some of the younger guys who are coming up, not most, some is that's what they do. So Today they'll spend two hours on Don Lemon. I think I spent 20 minutes. But I also spent time on the actual indictment, and we went into the law a little bit and that sort of thing. I feel we have our own priorities, policies, agendas, principles, mission. And so it's very important that we at least spend some time on the program talking about those things, not just what the others are doing, but it's also important that you're here. So I have to be somewhat interesting, right? Otherwise, why even listen? So now, I've gone through some of this because people tell me two things whenever I bump into them, whether it's at a diner or the grocery store or at a book signing. Please keep talking about history and please tell us more about you. Now, I don't like to say a whole lot about me, but I will from time to time, like I just did. Explain. Radio. Radio, podcasting. Look, I'm going to do a video podcast. You only live once. Just so you know, the overlap between radio and podcasting right now, because we have a radio audio podcast of the program is 7%. 7%. That means the podcasting audience does not take away from radio and the radio audience does not take away from podcasting. We've looked at this. It's a 7% overlap. So these are really two different audiences. Maybe not for some of you, but for most people, it's two different audiences, two different sets of people effectively. And I said to myself, self, why don't we take a look at this? Not for the money. I'm the one putting all my money into it. I didn't ask Qatar for help. I didn't ask any billionaires who have ties to Qatar for help. I didn't ask anybody for help. But I am going to be working with Cumulus, Westwood One. They are not paying for my program. They are not subsidizing the program. I'm paying for everything because I want to be completely independent, period. But that has costs. That's okay. But I'm going to try it. Not because I don't think it will be compelling substantively. I want to try because I feel like God has blessed me with this opportunity, these platforms, not because I deserve it, but here I am. And I need to reach into this other world more to try and deal with what I think is a rot, a poison, a corruption by some of these podcasters and some of their sponsors, whether they be foreign governments or people with ties to foreign governments or whatever they are, or whether they're just hateful or whether they're just chameleons, whatever it is. There must be thousands of podcasters out there, wouldn't you say, Mr. Producer? All you have to do is get a little bit of equipment and flop yourself on YouTube or something like that. But that's not the way I work. That's not the way we're gonna do it. All right, enough of this. We're gonna take your call on this beautiful Friday. It's not beautiful. For God's sakes, it's freezing. We'll be right back. It's back. Hey, it's Dan Bongino. I've got some big news for you. Starting February 2nd, the show is back. That's right, the Dan Bongino show is relaunching and we're going bigger than ever. Join me live on rumble.com Monday through Friday, 10am to noon Eastern. We'll cover the stories that matter. Cut through all the garbage and get to the truth. Can't catch it live. No problem. Grab the audio wherever you get your podcasts. Remember February 2nd, the return to the Dan Bongino Show. Don't miss it. I have some entertaining. An entertaining clip that just came up with a transom that I'm going to play for you, so don't go away I'm not playing radio games. I'm telling you, don't go away. You'll want to hear this. And I think I should play more of this stuff. To be perfectly honest with you. I think I should play more of this stuff. All right, let's go to Brian Clarion County, Pennsylvania, on the Mark Levin app. Brian, how are you, sir? Oh, Mr. Levan, thank you so much for taking my call. Maybe you'll remember me. Last time I shared that my mother's family grew up in Germantown and she worked in Frankfurt arsenal. So maybe you'll remember that. But I do. Yeah. But anyway, your show is so powerful tonight that I was compelled to call. I mean, to hear this Islamist say clearly that the goal is to destroy our religion and replace it with Islam just confirms for me, sir, that this is not about justice, social justice or equity. This is pure satanic treason. And, you know, I've written to the Israeli ambassador after October 7th, offering my condolences, and my husband and Brian, before you go on, can I play something for you? Hope asking. Don't. Hold on. Brian, before you go on, I want to play something for you. Don't hang up. Okay? I want your opinion about this. This is Tucker Katarlson, I think today. I want you to listen carefully, Brian, and all of you, Mr. And Mrs. America, all millions of you. Go ahead. Is all the people who are telling you have to hate Muslims. Oh, hate the Muslims. Ben Shapiro or Mark Levin hate Muslims. Why aren't those same people calling for full disclosure of the 911 documents? It's kind of weird, isn't it? If you really wanted to prove that Muslims are bad, you would want to all the 911 documents disclosed, wouldn't you? Just so you could sort of play out the horrifying details that led to those fabled 19 Arabs with box cutters committing the biggest act of terror in American history. Why would you ever want to keep any of that secret? Has Mark Levan ever called for the full disclosure of the 911 docs? Well, why wouldn't you? That would kind of make your case the Muslims are bad. Wouldn't it? Just put a nail in the coffin of all the jihadis in America. Ben Shapiro on that. Shut up, conspiracy theorist. Just keep in mind, when people tell you trust the government. Maybe there's another agenda there. Brian, doesn't he sound like a nut? Mr. Levin? He is a great deceiver. Americans don't hate Muslims. We don't hate Muslims. We dislike Islamists who are using God in a way to. To destroy our country and our values. We don't hate Muslims. Muslims are good people. They're. What else he's doing there? He wants you to believe the Jews were behind 9 11. The Mossad was behind 9 11. That's where his head is. And so I should call for all the documents that have already been looked at by congressional committees, by independent committees and so forth. I should join in, in his conspiracy against my own faith because he's a lunatic. But I want people to hear more of him and I'm going to play these clips from him from time to time. So he's perfectly happy with this, Brian. You see what I'm saying? He's perfectly happy with the Islamists. He's perfectly happy with these imams. He's perfectly happy with all of it. And I want the American people to hear this from his own mouth. What a complete nut job this guy is. Go ahead, Brian. It's a distraction. I wanted to ask you because we all see what's happening and I am petrified at what we see. And it's like I have. My husband and I have complete faith and trust in President Trump and we love our country, but it seems like we are clutching our pearls as we watch this. When is decisive action going to happen? What can we do? What we can do. Hold on now. What we can do and what I'm trying to do behind this microphone is first educate as many Americans as I can about what's actually taking place. And I'm doing it so people can hear the people who are saying it. It's not just Mark telling you what they're saying. I'm playing it so you can hear it. That's number one. Number two, we need to tell our congressmen and senators and, yes, the administration that we want them to put an end to this, that we want individuals who are here illegally, who are spewing this stuff removed, or if they're here on visas, we want them removed if they're not citizens, because we can't remove citizens. We want them out and we want to alert our fellow citizens. You need to go to these, these town meetings, these board meetings, these zoning meetings, and make sure these, these facilities which are breeding this ideology, are not building your communities. So there's a lot we can do once we know what's going on and spread the word. There's a lot we can do. And you're right, you're right about everything you said, Brian. God bless you, my friend. And call again. Appreciate it. Cleveland, Ohio XM Satellite Sally, how are you? Sally? I will, but I'm getting increasingly concerned. But first of all, it's such an honor to speak with you. I'm a longtime listener, but a first time caller and I thank you for your sounding the alarm continuously about the growing Islamist presence. And I see it here, even in Northern Ohio, the proliferation of mosque and their affiliated schools that have in the last five to 10 years, but mostly recently popped up. And also of course the activists on the college campuses and how they try to use the idea of religious freedom and they misuse it because they are a political ideology. Exactly. And they're getting more and more power in even red so called states. Hold on one second, Mr. Producer. I know I'm putting you on the spot. Can you pull up that care guy, Awad Niwad or whatever the hell his name is from yesterday? We're going to look for that and go ahead, Sally. I'm sorry. Well, and there's been with our conservative broadcasters like Bob France, there's been a growing outcry to make people aware, but it still isn't enough. We have to reach out to all our fellow citizens and try to try to make. The Democrat party wants to destroy ice. We can't deport these people if we destroy ice. And these Republicans better not start bending over backwards and throwing in on this because I'm not going to put up with it. And that means millions of you aren't either. So Sally, I want you to listen to this. We're going to play this and then we're going to play Katarlson. I want you to listen to this. America. This is about a year ago. This is the head of CARE Council on American Islamic Relations, the biggest organization of its kind in the country, in every state, in every community. And it is a Hamas front group. Go. I have been given this strategic plan, framework for success for the Muslim community. And let's just think about it together in the next couple of minutes. We have almost 4,000 mosques in America. 4,000 mosques. 4,000 mosques. About 6 million people attend these 4,000 mosques every Friday. That's really the infrastructure of the Muslim community. The core of Muslim life in America is the largest number of mosques. Secondly, you have schools, social services organizations, economic, social, political and scientific organizations and businesses. However, how can we plan in 20 years for the Muslim community to be a celebrated community? So what's the plan? 4,000 mosques. I would like our community, the leadership here, after, inshallah, you build this mosque. Unless you can do it at the same time, establish a scholarship fund on an annual basis and just running out of time. He wants to build 4,000 mosques. He wants massive presence. He says 50 members of the House of Representatives, maybe a Supreme Court justice or two, that we basically have to control the culture, businesses, entertainment and. And then I want you to hear Tucker Carlson what he said today. Go ahead. Mr. Is all the people who are telling you have to hate Muslims, don't hate the Muslims. Ben Shapiro or Mark Levin hate Muslims. Why aren't those same people calling for full disclosure of the 911 documents? It's kind of weird, isn't it? If you really wanted to prove that Muslims are bad, you would want all the 911 documents disclosed, wouldn't you? Just so you could sort of play it out, the horrifying details that led to those fabled 19 Arabs with box cutters committing the biggest act of terror in American history. Why would you ever want to keep any of that secret? Has Mark Levin ever called for the full disclosure of the 911 docs? Well, why wouldn't you? That would kind of make your case the Muslims are bad, wouldn't it? Just put a nail in the coffin of all the jihadis in America. Ben Shapiro on that. Shut up, conspiracy theorist. Just keep in mind when people tell you trust the government, maybe there's another agenda there. My God. My God. He doesn't think the hijackers did what they did. He thinks it was somebody else. And you got to release the documents. You see, this is always their line. Release the documents. The documents. Saudi Arabia was behind it. He just gave a speech at Saudi Arabia. He was probably paid a small fortune, maybe a big fortune. In my view, this man's a traitor and we have to fight what's going on in this country despite poison and cancer like him. We'll be right back. Mud Lovin. I've just taken the view that the more people who hear this nut job, the better. So when I play these Islamists talking about how they want to destroy your faith, destroy your country, how that's their goal, that's why they're here. And then you hear basically a traitor who's going out there talking about, oh, yes, yes, yes, right. Sure they are. I need you to know that. I think you should hear that and I know you will. Let's see. My phone has my. This thing is frozen on me. My computer. Let's try this veto in Florida. The great W. Xjb. We've got one minute. Go right ahead, please. Hey, Mark, thanks for taking my call. Family are well. Thank you. Yeah. This church. Yeah. This church takeover with Don Lemon and the protesters has gone way too far. These poor people that were in the church, I feel for them and the children especially. And in my understanding that they blocked every exit, every entrance to the church. Well, this is madness. And what I fear the most about this is that every Muslim in America is watching and waiting to see how the court is going to execute this. I don't think it's every Muslim, I have to say. We have Zoody Jasser and we have a lot of reformists out there. I got my assistant manager at my bank, he's a great guy. He's a big conservative. There's people like that. I think what we're talking about and I think what you're talking about are these radical imams and so called scholars, these Islamists. And there's a growing number of followers of these people. They're extremely dangerous to our country. Thank you for your call. Vito. We go to America every Friday in honor of you. Here we go. Sam sa. Ra. I. Sam sa. La. And see. And I love you and my audience. It's cold out there. Most of the country trying to stay warm. It is brutal. The week is officially over. The weekend begins right now. We salute our armed forces, police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel and our truckers. The men and women in Ukraine, the men and women in Israel, the men and women in Iran, we're not going to forget. And you, the American people, thank God for you. Good night Spritey and Griffey and Pepsi and Smokey. Good night Zelda and Indy and Patton and Rory. Good night Gigi and Marty and Barney. Good night dad and mom. We're holding down the fort here. Good night, Joe. Good night, Leo. Good night, Bernard. Good night, Teddy. Good night, Lou and good night so many great patriots. We miss you all. Have a wonderful weekend. Don't forget to set your dvr. You can watch live as well. Life, Liberty and levin tomorrow night, 8pm Eastern. Sunday night, 8pm eastern. I do this show for you and when you're not interested in anymore, I will just go away. See you tomorrow night. I hope. God bless each and every one of you. Be safe out there.

Host: Mark Levin
In this episode, Mark Levin tackles the concept of "suicidal empathy" or "misguided altruism"—the idea that excessive, selective, and misapplied compassion for external or marginalized groups can lead to the erosion and destruction of Western values, culture, and security. Drawing extensively upon an article from the Gatestone Institute and the work of Dr. Gad Saad, he connects modern progressive dogmas to dangerous policies impacting immigration, national security, and the erosion of foundational American principles. Levin critiques the manipulation of empathy, the weaponization of language, and what he terms "authoritarian democracy" as he examines recent leftist trends, policy failures, and the consequences of allowing radical ideologies into the heart of Western society.
"The theory...describes a psychological and societal condition in which excessive or misguided compassion leads Western societies...to adopt self-destructive attitudes and policies that will ultimately succeed in destroying them. The process...is a form of civilizational suicide."
— Mark Levin, quoting and summarizing Saad ([11:45])
"Selective empathy...is just a posture wearing empathy’s clothes."
— Mark Levin ([14:16])
“Negative power require[s] the utilization of negative techniques of communication, including manipulation...concealment, distraction and fear mongering.”
— Mark Levin ([38:40])
"That’s what I mean by authoritarian democracy. Although they’re not mutually exclusive. ...Language is used...to incite, confound, anger. ...They’re intended to incite, not to create legitimate debate."
— Mark Levin ([01:06:05])
"If we let one more person in this country who is a radical Islamist...because of the cancer they are spreading in this country...we won’t survive it. And that’s what’s meant by suicidal empathy."
— Mark Levin ([59:50])
“Our goal, living amongst all of you, is to wipe away your religion and to replace it with Islam.”
— Yassir Qadhi, quoted by Mark Levin ([01:12:45])
"Don Lemon was not an observer. He wasn’t just tipped off, he was in on it. Some journalist."
— Mark Levin ([01:36:50])
"The media in America are so corrupt, as the President says, so thoroughly leftist and Democrat, that they're destroying the First Amendment and free speech for everybody else."
— Mark Levin ([01:39:45])
"He wants you to believe the Jews were behind 9/11. ...That’s where his head is. This man's a traitor..."
— Mark Levin ([02:19:40])
Levin delivers a comprehensive, intense critique of what he sees as the West’s self-defeating compassion, linking philosophical, cultural, and policy trends. He warns of the dangers of misplaced empathy, manipulation of language, and the advance of radical ideologies, urging listeners toward greater vigilance and civic action to defend the core American identity.
