It's all quiet in the underground bunker, doors closed, locks bolted. But the Great One isn't just resting on his laurels. He's making sure your weekend is even better by giving you his best. This is the best of Mark Levin. You know, folks, one of the things I find particularly annoying is the unwillingness of numerous national political figures to talk about the Islamist threat that we face here in our country. And it is significant and it is growing in one community after another and one state after another. And it's not just blue states now, it's red states as well. And I only raise this, you know, I don't talk about Buddhists and Hindus or Christians or Jews, that this is occurring because. Because Islamism, the radical jihadist version of Islamism, is altogether different. You should listen to what they preach, you should listen to what they write. It's not Mark making this stuff up. The evidence is swirling around all of us. They're building these massive mosques in communities and these communities are heavily segregated. I call them fortresses. And if you're Christian, God forbid, Jewish, but if you're Christian in these communities and you have a different take on events, you want to show your symbols and so forth and so on, they're going to beat you to a pulpit. Did you see that over the weekend, Mr. Producer? It's all over the Internet. Then you have these Islamists from Morocco who pour into this community in Spain and what are they doing? They pour into this community in Spain, they're brutalizing the people there. They've murdered several people. That's on the Internet too. They've broken into homes, they've broken into businesses, and it's these left wing governments all over Europe that allows this to occur over and over and over again. I don't believe there's another example in history where so called representative governments, or any governments for that matter, have destroyed their own culture, their own societies, their own populations in a manner like this. But it's happening here and it's happening now and it's happening very quickly and it is spreading very fast. I had Ron DeSantis on my program Sunday. He was superb. He made a great point. And he made this point without any suggestion from me, without any prodding from me. He said, I tell people that our national security threat, our greatest military threat is communist China, but our greatest cultural threat is Islamism. And he's right. And by the way, he would make a great president. A great president. I feel my man Ted would make a great president too. I'm not picking presidents Right now. But I just thought what he said was very important. And look, he's a governor. He's running, what is it, the third most populous state in the nation. There's California. They ran it into the ground. There's Texas and have some grave concerns about what's going on there with the Islamists. Then there's Florida. We have some Islamist problems there, too, but not the extent to which you have in Texas. But I will tell you as a resident of Florida that this guy's unbelievable. He's just unbelievable. Now, that aside, momentarily, at least, when we have officials in our government talking about the Communists and the dsa, I think that's very important. The Democratic Socialists of America, the communists, they're all America haters. They're all Jew haters, they're all Christian haters, and they all, of course, embrace their Islamist comrades, but they don't talk about Islamism. I find that on television, too, these Sunday shows, they don't talk about Islamism. I find it on most cable shows. They don't talk about Islamism. They don't talk about what's going on. Why? Why is there some order to ignore it? I talk about everything I want to talk about without any order to ignore anything. But it is very bizarre and it is a very serious matter. And to not talk about both because they have congealed, if you will, together. They have. They have fused together, as I have been saying now for quite some time. That is the Marxists and the Islamists. To not explain it and talk about them hand in glove is to not accurately point out the growing enemy within. And I'm troubled by this a lot. And honestly, I don't know what we're doing about it. I don't know what our ruling class is doing about preventing these Islamists from coming to the country. They're still coming here legally, apparently, since nobody is said to be coming in here illegally. And are we going through to make sure that they're all here legally? Are we going through to make sure that the ones that literally put out videos or people have videos they put out of them in these mosques and elsewhere that they have a citizenship here that we cannot withdraw or reverse? Is there some office that's looking into this to try and make sure that we're doing everything humanly possible to put an end to this? Is Congress passing any laws about this? I don't see any. See, we don't need representatives and senators to tell us what we already know. We need them to do something. You see What I mean? Mr. Producer, we already know they're not podcasters. That would be bad enough. They're not so called influencers. That would be doubly bad enough. They're not opinion givers, although they give their opinions and that's important. But they're literally lawmakers. Lawmakers. I'm just not seeing enough action in this, and it concerns me a lot at the local level. These zoning boards, these zoning boards, typically they're appointed by the local city council, town council, board of supervisors, whatever you have. And typically developers are on there or somebody else is on there, whoever is on there. These boards need to be filled with patriotic Americans, conservatives who say, no, no, we're not going to do this. And I don't want to hear about freedom of religion. This has nothing to do about freedom of religion. In fact, if you want to make the case, we're defending freedom of religion because there's an intolerance among the Islamists for religious diversity in this society. You know, it's interesting, my wife Julie, at about a 45, no longer than that, actually a videotape of. Well, anyway, was a videotape of a great rabbi, and I should play it for you actually, without talking about it, but I'll just hit it quickly. And he said, you look at the three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, then Christianity, then Islam, Judaism and Christianity do not require you to believe in God, Pray to God through their religions. They understand that there are people who worship God through other faiths and that you can worship God through other faiths, even though there are disagreements among the faiths. Obviously not Islam. Islam insists through Muhammad and the various writings that the only way that you can pray to God, that is tolerated, the only way that you can worship God is through Islam. I thought, number one, that is brilliant, and number two, that is frightening. It puts a fine point on it, doesn't it? And so Islam is a very, very intolerant and violent faith. Those who haven't gone through the Reformation process and so forth, like our friend Zudi Jasser, but he more than anyone else, points to it, as do others, and says, these are the fundamentalists, these are the people who. They call it political Islam, which it is. But Islam by its very nature is political. Christianity is not, Judaism is not, Hinduism is not, Buddhism is not, and so forth and so on. But it is the only of the three Abrahamic faiths, the only one that says the only way to pray to God, the only way to worship God, the only way to acknowledge God is through Islam. Judaism doesn't say that. About Judaism. Christianity doesn't say that about Christianity. In fact, we talk about Judeo Christian belief systems, don't we? That is the core of the issue right there. That's the core of it. That's the core of it. Rabbi Sacks, who unfortunately passed away a few years back, was basically the chief Orthodox Rabbi of Great Britain. He was number one scholar probably in the world among Jews, I would argue not just Orthodox Jews, but Jews, period. He was a brilliant, brilliant man. Mark Levin. They actually asked Abdul El said, well you've been campaigning with this guy Hassan Puker. The things he has said and that seems to be fine with you. So he tries to present himself. I'm not democratic socialists of America. I'm not a communist. I love America. So they got all the lies and propaganda down and all the communists always do. I love America. Except for this and this and this and this. Yeah, that's why he's campaigning with a guy that was in a mal uniform saying we deserve 9, 11. That he has no, no allegiance to America, that he says he supports Hamas. He's campaigning with the guy Openly. Right. Cut 12. Go. You know there's one other guy that you've campaigned with that has raised eyebrows. Hassan Piker. His eyebrows went up. Yes, yes, he, I raised my eyebrows. Was campaigning with him a good idea? Look, I want to reach out to his viewers. He has a three million person platform and hey, I have a fourteen and a half million person platform. Mr. Producer, don't I. This is what these podcaster clowns don't, don't understand. And they're misled by entities like Talk magazine and others. Totally misled. But we have a massive audience here. People come and go, you know, every hour, every day. But 3 million is a joke. I'm just saying. 3 million is a joke. Go ahead. Disagree with. If you watched any of our content together and there are things that he and I agree with on the question of whether or not we should be guaranteeing people health care or, you know, that would be like me saying, you know, there are Klansmen that I. We agree on some things and disagree with saying there's Nazis. We agree on some things and disagree with some things. But what are you talking about? These are evil, disgusting people. Puker is an evil, disgusting person. It's not a matter whether you agree or disagree with some stuff. It's the stuff that he has said that is so, so grotesque that you shouldn't want to be within a. Within a mile of the guy, within a hundred miles of the guys. But he does, and Ro. Con man does, and a whole bunch of Democrats have. But this guy, Abdul Al Said has been rubbing up against the guy. Go ahead. The people we agree. I think we should be providing health care here. On the question of. But your wife doesn't. Your wife doesn't take any insurance whatsoever. How do you explain the hypocrisy in your own family? You're demanding that. That health care be free for all, and your wife demands people pay with either a check, a credit card, or cash. She won't even take insurance because she wants the whole dollar. The whole dollar. Because she knows she won't get it under Medicare or Medicaid or even under private insurance. And Medicare for all will destroy Medicare. Medicare is supposed to be an insurance program. Many of you are paying into it or have paid into it. Correct? Well, how do. How do you let all these freebies in? Illegal aliens and other people haven't put one penny into the system. Sounds to me like you're getting ripped off. But it can't work. Actuarially, it won't work. So they keep throwing out Medicare for All. We just say Medicare for All. Medicare for All. You know, that's great, but there's no pushback. Nobody even knows how to respond to these pukes. Go ahead. The fascism of the Trump administration. We agreed we should probably. There is no fascism of the Trump administration. The fascism is you. Your buddy Puker, your whole ideology, the difference between fascism and communism, without getting too intellectual or scholarly about it. In the end, it's not a big difference at all. Whether you wind up in a concentration camp in Mao's China or in Hitler's Germany. Doesn't much matter because you're not going to survive, does it? Yeah. Fascism of the Trump administration. He has followed every court order, every court decision, and he's enforced the immigration laws, he's enforced all these other laws. There is no fascism in the Trump administration. The fascism is in the Biden administration that preceded it, that purposely undermined and usurped our federal immigration laws, among other laws. The fascism is in an ideology that wants to destroy our independent Supreme Court, that wants open borders so we have no sovereignty, so you can completely destroy our nation the way Spain is destroying itself under its madman leader over there. You want to destroy the electoral college. You want to destroy it because you don't want three fourths of the states to have representation. You want to pack not just the Supreme Court and turn it into a left wing communist politburo, but you also want to destroy the Senate by adding four Democrats, by cherry picking one city, D.C. and one territory, Puerto Rico. So you see, they're not fascists. No, no, not at all. They're not. They're not communists. No, no, not at all. They love America. Can't you tell? Oh, they love America. No, they hate America. I want to go to this guy Van Hollen. He wants to be majority leader in the Senate because Schumer will be taken out politically, of course, in New York at some point. But Chris Van Hollen is a guy, you may have noticed him. He is literally, or at least he appears to me to be literally translucent. And so there is no, there is no racial category for him over at the Commerce Department in the Census Bureau. That said, he's a radical nut job out of Maryland. He's a radical nut job. And I understand his wife is, too, but why drag her into it? But why not, right? Equality for all. Nonetheless. He's a real Jew hater. He's a real Israel hater. He was spewing Hamas talking points just like Bernie Sanders and the rest of them. He's a disgusting fraud. A disgusting fraud. That's what he is. Now listen to what he has to say. Cut six, go. I will say, when it comes to, you know, these different labels that people throw around, I mean, I hear the President now calling, you know, Democrats, the Communist Party and all this kind of nonsense. Why is that nonsense in Fact, Van Hollen, you're about to prove him right. Go ahead. Remind people that when FDR was formulating the Social Security program, Republicans and others viciously attacked him for being a communist and a radical socialist. So let's keep all of this in perspective. Isn't that amazing? They have to go back to Social Security in the 1930s, almost 100 years ago. That's how they're going to defend themselves. FDR. Well, what did FDR do, ladies and gentlemen? It wasn't just Social Security. FDR didn't come up with the Social Security program. That was actually the brainchild of the germans in the 1860s, which is perfectly fine, but the Social Security program has been bankrupted by the radical Democrats. They've stolen money out of it. They used it for general operating. And six years from now, according to the trustees, not me, it's going to go broke. And I wrote an entire book on this plunder and deceit, a whole chapter on Social Security and Medicare and what the Democrats had done to and what they're doing to it. But I've been banging pots and pans and ringing bells around here for a long time about where this country is today and where it's going economically, socially, culturally, militarily, you name it. What else did Franklin Roosevelt do? America? Let's see. He sent 120,000 Japanese Americans to concentration camps. Oh, yeah, he did that. Is that okay? Chris Van Hollen, what else did he do in 1940 when the. When the bipartisan bill that had passed the House and the Senate hit his desk to pass a federal law, a federal law at his desk to outlaw ready for this lynching of black people. He refused to sign it because he was worried it would cost him votes in the south in the upcoming election. He got that. And that's when Jesse Owens. Jesse Owens and other prominent blacks voted Republican and did so openly. So he wouldn't sign that. What else? What else did the great Franklin Roosevelt do? He put in place a strict quota system that reduced the number of Jews that could come into the United States from Europe at the height of the Holocaust. Why did he do that? Why do you think he did? Was done through his State Department. But they all want to be FDR. Don't you know, America? They all want to be FDR. And there have been brilliant studies done, especially by two professors out of UCLA about 15 years ago, explaining how FDR's socialist policies, because it was more than Social Security. He created industrial trusts, he created price controls, wage controls. He did all kinds of things. That prolonged what would have been a recession, turned it into a depression, and it expanded for 10 years. And there have been many writings on this because socialism doesn't create wealth, it doesn't create income, it doesn't create prosperity. It's the redistribution of wealth as the government determines. And so when you're trying to battle out of a recession or stagflation or certainly a depression, you're trying to grow the economy, you're trying to build the economy. Well, government doesn't know how to do that. And socialism is not the answer. So I'd love to have a debate with Chris Van Hollen, but it will never happen. I'd love to have a debate with Bernie Sanders, but it'll never happen. I'd love to have a debate with aoc, but it'll never happen. And they can defend their great Franklin Roosevelt. Oh, and by the way, by the way, Mr. Van Hollen, by the way, Mr. Ro. Con man, Franklin Roosevelt. Franklin Roosevelt was a wartime leader, A wartime leader where everything, everything was subject to being targeted, including entire cities with entire civilian populations. How come you don't mention that ever? Now, I'm not against winning wars and doing what you have to do to win, I must confess, especially when it's life and death for a country. But Franklin Roosevelt wouldn't have closed his eyes to Iran any more than Ronald Reagan if they knew they were actually getting a nuclear weapon. But Van Hollen does, Sanders does. You know what's interesting America about this race last night to me is when you look at the breakdown of the vote according to various data that are available now. What I have not seen so far is the Muslim vote in Michigan, but I'm going to assume it was well over 90% for El Said. Now what about the vote generally? The vote generally shows in those parts of Michigan where you have a high concentration of college graduates and mostly white college graduates, relatively wealthy white college graduates. That was his base. That's where he did best. Again, I'm not counting ethnicity and religion and so forth. That's where he did best. He did not do best. In fact, his opponent won an Arius that whether we're mostly union workers and blue collar workers as well as blacks. Now, I don't know how you build a Democrat party around elitists basically. I don't think that's going to work in the long run. But so we have a couple of things going on here. Let's try and be as objective as possible. When you look at these races in these congressional districts that are heavily blue, heavily, heavily blue, these candidates do okay, these communist candidates, these Islamist communist candidates and they're winning some of these, these primaries against some of the more sort of Democrat type and left wing type Democrats. There's not really any moderates running in these districts. When you look at New York City again, Mondame won. I'll keep something in mind. It's like 66% Democrat registration, maybe more. And he barely got over 50% of the vote. So it's not like that was any kind of a landslide. And again there you had a massive turnout of Muslims as a matter of fact. But he didn't get a lot of the Democrat vote in the general election. So it's going to be very interesting in the in Michigan. But I also think that he will lose significantly if the messaging is clear. Now he's going to have the media on his side. He's going to downplay his extremism. They're going to play up what they'll call Islamophobia, which is really non existent. It's not about Islamophobia. It's about what's come out of the man's mouth and the company that he keeps, like Hassan Puker, among others. These are truly vile terrorist supporting individuals like piker about 9 11, about Hamas, about Mao Zedong and on and on and on. I never thought I'd live to see a candidate nominated by the Democrat Party anywhere who pals around with an individual who says America deserved 9, 11, who says he would take Hamas over the elected government of Israel, who says Mao was the greatest human being to ever live. And yet that's what we see. I never thought I'd see Democrats saying, well, I disagree with this or I disagree with that, but if he's the nominee, which he is now, we will support him. I will support him, they say, because the Democrats have to win. You know, ladies and gentlemen, that is outrageous. That is utterly unconscionable and immoral. The fact of the matter is, if there were a Klansman running or a neo Nazi running, or somebody who was backed by the Klan or neo Nazis and didn't reject them, or somebody who embraced them or palled around with them, you could bet I wouldn't support them. I don't care if they're Republican. I don't care what they are. The Republican has done a decent job of ensuring that those type of individuals, those types of radicals, racists, bigots, anti Semites, that those kind of people are not supported. They've done quite a good job at that, as far as I'm concerned. The Democrat Party even embraced a man, Platner, who'd been a Nazi, or at least he wore a Nazi tattoo. It seems to me if you're going to wear a Nazi tattoo, if you're literally going to have it emblazoned on your chest, and you must support it, because this idea that you don't know what it is is absurd. It's ridiculous. You don't know what it is. I like that tattoo over there. You know, the one with the swastika on it. I don't know what that means. You know, I believe there's a Buddhist history to it, you know, that sort of thing. But I like that one. And it's not only a Nazi tattoo. It is a Nazi tattoo of prison guards in concentration camps. Very special Nazi tattoo. So we don't have to believe. And if Bernie Sanders says he would do it all over again, he would back the guy, do it all over again. He's accused, I say accused, of rape. Now, Bernie Sanders was asked, you know, this Bernie Sanders is a particularly stupid man. He talks in slogans. He's accomplished absolutely nothing during all these years in the Senate. He spends an enormous amount of time on the road, rallying at rallies and so forth and so on, saying the same thing about billionaires and oligarchs and capitalism and Medicare for all and on and on and on and on. All of which, you know, is just so bizarre, trying to stoke animosity, fear monger and all the rest of it. This is the way it plays out. But he is the Democrat nominee now by the skin of his teeth. Don't get me wrong. Al Said in Michigan and Mike Rogers is no radical. Mike Rogers served in the Army. He was in the FBI. He sat as chairman, I believe, for a period of time on the Intelligence Committee in the House. I'd say he's solid. He's solid. He's a solid Republican for sure. He's the kind of Republicans that come out of Michigan, quite frankly. And that's okay with me compared to what he's up against 100%, which is why I've endorsed him enthusiastically. And I think he'd be a very good senator for Michigan, as a matter of fact, a very good senator. But let us not pretend that Al Said is just another progressive. I heard somebody say he's a very progressive, kind of. He's very liberal. He's not very liberal. He's not progressive. He's an Islamist Marxist. That's what he is. That's what he is. You don't pal around with this guy Puker and you're not some kind of a jihadi Islamist and you don't pal around with, with a Bernie Sanders and you're not a Marxist. But now he's going to try and tap it down, you know, Takiya, as they say, kind of tap it down, lie about who he is in some audiences, not in others. He's going to tap it down. Which division, I do not know. And he was at a hearing today and he wrote an article saying that Muslim immigrants are more prone to terrorism than others. And of course, that is a fact. That is not to say that Muslims, all Muslim terrorists, that would be absurd because it's stupid. That's not what he said. But Adam Schiff to the defense, of course, and Adam Schiff and most of these other Democrats who didn't appear either because they're members of the subcommittee or they just chose not to participate in the Muslim Brotherhood hearing that had been held today by Senator Cruz, chairman of the subcommittee. But the first person you'll hear will be Squeaky from. Excuse me, Squeaky, Adam Schiff, followed by the nominee. Can do. Cut seven, go. When you met with my staff yesterday, you said you stood by your previous comments, including op EDS you wrote for white nationalist websites like Vedere. In one of those, in an article titled Immigration and three Twitchy Jewish nerves, you stated, quote, quote, muslim immigrants and their children seem prone not only to terrorism but to cultural separatism. Do you stand by that statement? Senator, I wrote that article in defense of Donald Trump's travel ban, which I thought was. That's not my question. My question is you told my staff you stood by your previous statements. Do you stand by that one? I stand by those articles. They were defenses and against terrorism. So you stand by that statement. So what do you mean that Muslim immigrants and their children are prone to terrorism? I wrote those articles. I'm not asking you. You already said you stand by that statement. So what do you mean by that? I'm trying to explain. I wrote those articles in defense of Donald Trump's travel ban, which protect us against terrorism. And I thought that terrorism is continues to be a tremendous threat to all American. And you. And you think that Muslim immigrants and their children are somehow prone to terrorism. I wrote in support of the travel ban. I'm aware of why you wrote the article. My question is, and I would like an answer, do you stand by your statement that. Let me, let me help the Senator, It is a provable fact that Islamism promotes terrorism. Not all Muslims again, but Islamism. It's also a provable fact that what he's talking about is when the President was having a travel ban, that many of the majority Muslim countries were excluded. Indonesia as an example. But what the President was including were countries like Syria, Iraq, other countries, even Qatar at the time and Saudi Arabia, because they needed to make a determination, Yemen, on who was coming into the country and whether those people coming into the country, excuse me, would commit acts of terrorism. Given the fact not that all Muslims commit acts of terrorism, there's 2 billion Muslims in the world, but that we know as a matter of fact, by the data kept by the FBI, national security, and data available to the public, we have a whole counterintelligence infrastructure built around fighting counterterrorism activities, terrorist activities. And much of that is focused on majority Muslim countries, especially in the Middle East. Especially in the Middle East. So what the President wanted to do was to have, I think it was a 6 month or 12 month, but I think it was a 6 month freeze on certain listed countries. Now, interestingly enough, I remember at the time it was explained that Barack Obama had done something quite similar with an executive order. And so that's what the guy was writing about. Now, this society cannot survive, this culture will not survive. If the view is to close your eyes and turn your cheek to the other cheek when confronted with a situation like this. We saw during the height, during the height of what Hamas had done to Israel and to the Israeli people, that an overwhelming majority of the Palestinian people supported it. They supported the slaughter on October 7th of innocent young people, babies, women and yes, men and children and other children as well, in the most barbaric ways possible. That the overwhelming majority of Palestinians, and not just in Gaza, but in the Judea and Samaria and other territories, supported what took place. We know what happened on 9 11. It was not from Sweden, it was not from, from Panama, it wasn't from New Zealand. It was from Saudi Arabia with help from Qatar. And the vast majority of terrorist acts against America have been Islamists in the Middle east, not exclusively, but overwhelmingly. Now what are we supposed to do? Pretend that's not the case? So you're going to deny this man an appointment as an Assistant Attorney General for some division at the Department of Justice because he wrote an article in support of that? Seriously, this is why the Democrat Party, it's not merely susceptible to now, it is celebrating the likes of an Al Said. It is celebrating, it is campaigning with the likes of Hasan Puker, it is backing as a candidate in New Jersey for the House of Representatives a man who was the interpreter, the interpreter for the blind sheik, for God's sakes. And we're supposed to play stupid, we're supposed to play dumb. How dare you raise these concerns and these issues. Do we have the will to survive as a society? Do we have the will to live as a people? Do we have the desire to protect our country and our culture and our lifestyle? Defend what has been fought for by generation after generation? Hand it to us on a silver platter? Is this the generation that's going to surrender our country to this enemy? Yes or no? There was a time not so long ago when one generation ensured that the next generation and future generations would live in a country better than the country we live in by using the Constitution, by using the private sector, by using our brains and our hard work. Now we have people. Affordability. You can't afford a taco. Are you kidding me? They want a free ticket on education. They want a free ticket on everything. And if you don't give it to them, they're talking up socialism, they're talking up communism. Oh, woe is me. Woe is me. We don't have a draft. We're fighting a war in the Middle East. The vast majority of the American people are utterly unaffected. Utterly unaffected with our volunteer military, our heroes over there. And so we find excuses. Oh, a dollar of gasoline went up. I don't remember so much noise about the price of gasoline when the issue was climate change, when the Democrats were in charge, when they drove up the price of a gallon of gasoline higher than it's ever been at any time during this war with Iran. It's unbelievable to me. Mark the vin. Though the headlines may change, the threats facing Israel remain. I'm, I'm reading, watching and hearing some people in the conservative movement, or at least in the fringes of the conservative movement, sound like leftists. Some of them even sound like socialist light. And that is younger people today have it harder than people in the past when it comes to student loan debt, when it comes to the difficulty buying homes and so forth and so on. And I got to thinking, and I'm going to talk about this on Saturday's Life Liberty Levin on Fox as well. But I got to thinking, is that true? I mean, is that really true? And then you have isolationists woke, right? Isolationists who insist that the war with Iran is causing inflation. Now, we know that's not true. Inflation was much higher before the war with Iran during the Biden regime. Inflation was much higher then, even under the Biden regime, under Carter, when there was no war, the 12 and a half percent, I remember having to pay that on my first home, the mortgage. So these statements are not true. And as a matter of fact, the entire defense budget, even putting aside this war, which is a piece of it, the entire defense budget is at a very low level in terms of the percentage of the gross domestic product. What's causing inflation is massive government spending, redistribution of wealth. Apart from the military. Apart from the military. The military has been slashed and cut and reduced. And that's what's causing daily deficits, yearly deficits and an overall massive debt. And that's what results in inflation. And of course, that budget that Biden and the Democrats passed, that no Republican at all voted for, which they called it ironically, and intentionally lied through their teeth the Inflation Reduction act was the Climate Change act, really. And they just threw literally trillions of dollars at these ideological objectives. That's what causes inflation, not the war in Iran. They used to say during the Vietnam War that when we had inflation and massive debt, the problem was you can't fight a war and have massive domestic spending at the same time. There may be some truth to that. I mean, you can do it, but you will pay for it with inflation and so forth. And I believe there's some truth to that. But all this Aside for a moment the accuracy of the allegation, my point is it's not accurate. But putting this aside, we have a generation of Americans, many of whom are gone. Now, in their youth, they went through the Great Depression, which was extremely difficult, where 25% of the population was unemployed. Even those who were employed, many of them were not earning very much. Businesses were folding at a historic level like we'd never seen before. And yet those young people who became our grandparents and great grandparents, They did whatever they had to do, not just to survive, but to claw their way back. Now, that is hard. Now, that is difficult. We're not talking about the price of a burrito or a taco or an extra dollar on a gallon of gasoline here. We're talking about complete economic collapse. That is difficult. And even as we were coming out of the depression in the 1940s, there was World War II. Now, there was a draft of young people, but also many volunteered, like my father and my grandfather. But there was a draft. And by the time it was over 16 million Americans fought in that war. 16 million, again, under very horrific conditions, I should say, in jungles, on islands, in the middle of the winter in Europe. You know the history. Most of you, anyway, you've seen the films. Young people, young men, for the most part. Many of them didn't come back. There were over 600,000 casualties and hundreds of thousands killed. Now, let's rewind to today. Circle back. The overwhelming majority of us are unaffected by the war in Iran. Obviously, there are families that are affected. But less than 1% of the American public is in the military, whether it's active military, the reserves, or what have you. Less than 1%. It's all voluntary. There's no draft. So young men don't have to worry about going to war. Back then, they went to war. Many of them volunteered. But you get my point. That's a tough time. That's a tough time. We talk about this war going on too long because the price of a gallon of gasoline has gone up. And that's not always the case, by the way. But think about. Think about the arguments that are being made today, how insignificant and silly they sound. And online, a debate about how much a taco costs. Some people are arguing burritos, some people arguing tacos. You could argue a kumquat. It's just so stupid. Some guy starts with, it's $20. I had to pay $20 for whatever it was, a burrito or a taco. It was only $20 because he used doordash doordash, a car delivery, food service. Right, Mr. Producer. So he had to pay for the guy to get in the car, the gal, and drive to him, pick it up, drive to him, give him the taco or burrito and leave the taco. And the burrito themselves didn't cost $20. You can make a taco burrito for a whole lot less than $20. You can go to Taco Bell and get it for a whole lot less. I don't want to say I've done that, that'll upset my wife, but I actually did it the other night. But it's true. And then all the comments by so called conservatives or fringe conservatives. We can't win elections by downplaying what young people have to put up with. Obviously, when you're young and starting out, you have to work your way through the system. You have to climb the ladder, you have to earn your spares. You know, the whole thing. You're not handed an executive job, you're not handed a $250,000 a year job, you're not handed a small business to run. Most people aren't. The average young person has to figure out what they want to do and pursue it. And while you're pursuing it, often you're struggling somewhat. I don't understand why conservatives are sounding like socialists or leftists. And by the way, undermining the president and undermining our own elections. I'm not saying you have to run on that in an election, you young people, you know, I'm not saying that, but I'm saying we have to deal with reality. And the reality is they're now arguing for more government to step in and do something. That's been the problem. The government stepping in, redistributing wealth, creating economic dislocation and bigger debt, bigger yearly deficits and inflation. Government creates inflation, not business, not the private sector, not you and me. Government creates inflation. And though the Iran military operation has not created inflation, inflation was bigger under Biden when we weren't in Iran, inflation was massive under Carter, massive. And nobody asked under Biden what the price of a taco was or a burrito. Nobody was talking about affordability in the sense that they talk about it today. And people are saying, well, since this war, now we have to run on affordability. Excuse me. Mondame won election by the skin of his teeth. But he won an election campaigning on affordability. And that election was held last November and he campaigned on that issue last summer before we went into Iran. So we basically have these sort of woke right isolationists who will use anything, who are looking for any argument. Some of them actually believe it to prevent us from defending ourselves from taking preemptive military action against a country that has been killing our people for 47 years, promises to have nuclear weapons, and is ideologically and religiously committed to blowing us off the face of the earth. I'm happy to engage the substance of this discussion about whether or not we should have gone into Iran if they'll just cool it with their little sloganeering from time to time. More than happy to have that debate. But now they're trying to claim that that's what causes inflation. Or did the price of a, of a taco. They sound like the left. They sound like Bernie Sanders, actually. Okay. And I'll say what I actually said about eight, 10 months ago, but I'll say it again. Okay, ready?
