Welcome to the Win with Paid Ads podcast for small business owners, entrepreneurs and really anyone who has anything you want more people to find. Whether you're starting from ground zero or scaling an eight figure business, you are exactly who this podcast was created for. Because you being the best kept secret helps no one. Right? That's why in every episode I'll show you how you can use paid ads to hit your goals 10 times sooner. It's time you finally learn how to win with paid ads. You or someone on your team can do this. I'll show you how to score and be known by more. Let's get started. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with three eight figure entrepreneurs. And I was on the plane ride home and I was reflecting and I was thinking, what was it about them? Because they're all three completely different people with three completely different eight figure businesses and we did three different podcasts together and I was like, man, they, they operated similarly. And the way that they operated with just how they behave as humans, how they ran their business. There were actually 10 things that were common between all three of these incredible women that I got to meet. And so I thought it would be really cool today for us to dive into those 10 things because what was similar was not their audience. It wasn't that they had these massive podcasts with millions of downloads. It wasn't the amount of money they made. It was truly how they operated their business and themselves. And so I'm really excited to share that with you today because you've probably heard a million times that success leaves clues, but only if you're paying attention to the behavior and not the results. And I really picked up on some behaviors because I was so just interested and curious to see how they operated. And even though there was a moment that I was a little nervous when I sat down with them, what I found when I did sit down with them is it's just the confidence they have is from the repetition and from these 10 things that I'm so excited to share with you today. And I want to remind you of these 10 things that I noticed from these wealthy, very influential people. These are things that you can embody and you can adapt those same traits immediately. And I even learned something from sitting down with them. And so these are the 10 traits that I noticed. So first was with. With first was with Jasmine Star and I noticed her intentionality. She does not do anything, just willy nilly. She is so intentional with every step of her process. And it was so cool. I sat down with her and we were about to click film on her podcast. And I believe, if I looked it up correctly, I believe she's done over 600 episodes at the time that we were recording. And. And that her podcast has had over 10 million downloads. That's what I had looked up. So she has created something that is so impressive, and she's done it with such grace, such grit. And for her to sit down with me, someone who has not yet done 10 million downloads, who does not yet have, you know, 6 or 700,000 followers, who does not have the business that she's created yet for her to sit down. And one of the first things that she asked me, she said, what would be a win for you for this? Like, how can this podcast be a win for you? And I was like, the very first thing that she led with is, like, such intention for me and care for me. And my response was like, no, this is about you. What's a win for me? Like, helping you, helping your audience, like, truly just being official here and having a good time. And so I just thought that was. That really said a lot about her is like, what you default to. And some of us default to hesitation, we default to some scarcity, we default to defense. And she defaulted to being so intentional to say, like, what's a win for you, too? And I just thought that was really cool. And I think that says how she does not show up on autopilot. Every conversation, every podcast, she does so with purpose. In fact, even in the preparation of the podcast, she and I had clarity questions to go back and forth because she knew for certain she wanted to sit down on that episode and know what it's about, what questions she wanted to ask, how she wanted to go. And I think that says a lot about her and how she prepares. And she really treated her that time as sacred. It was like, this is an hour. This is the podcast. Here's how it goes. She was so intentional with, like, here's exactly how I'm envisioning, like, from start to finish. She wanted to see the full picture before she sat down to record. And I actually really admire that. I do that in my business. When someone tells me, like, here's all the logistics. I'm like, wait, can we dial up? Let's say, where are we going? What's the big picture? And then let's dive into the details. So for you, on how you could implement this, ask yourself before meeting, before a podcast, before you create content, before the offer, what outcome actually matters here. And stop showing up, just showing up, show up with intention and with preparation so that you can really make the most out of what you're doing. I thought that was incredible, getting to watch her do that. So that's intentionality. The second thing that I noticed is consistency. So I did a podcast episode with Jasmine. I got to speak at Jasmine's Mastermind. It was, she has an incredible group of people that are so smart, so hardworking, so kind, so eager to learn. And I told her when we were together, I was like, this says so much about you, the people that have chosen to surround themselves with you, which is really special. So after I left, so I did a podcast with Jasmine. The next day, I was at Jasmine's Mastermind, and then I left there, and I went to Lori Harder, who I had actually never met or heard of prior to our PR agency connecting us to Lori, which was incredible. And the way that I realized why Lori and why Jasmine, one of the reasons they're so successful is because of their consistency. Lori had done over, I believe, 1500 episodes. Jasmine has done 600 episodes. She said. When I was with Jasmine, I was like, man, that's a lot of episodes. She's like, yep, haven't missed a week, no matter what, has not missed a week. And to do anything for every single week for years and years and years, that just says so much. I mean, think about 52 weeks a year. How many years of that is consistency? And same thing for Lori. I think she's been doing hers for 10 years. Like, 1500 episodes. My dad and I were sitting on the couch last night, and he was like, wait, how do you open up Apple podcasts? And so I was like, here you go, dad. And I was showing him, and we were looking at one of his, and he wanted to look up the Joe Rogan podcast. And I looked up Joe Rogan's podcast. He has over 2,000 episodes. And I remember hearing one time, if you can just get to X amount of podcasts, if it was like 500 podcasts, it was like, you'll never have to worry, because 99.9% of people never make it past 10, let alone a 500 or a thousand. And so the moment I had that, I latched onto it. I'm like, that's my number. I will not stop. I will not stop, but I will at least make it to there. And so Jasmine hasn't skipped an episode. Joe Rogan has done over 2200. Consistency Compounds Trust, familiarity breeds authority, and momentum beats motivation. And so I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, There are days when I might not feel like I want to do episodes today. It's like I would rather just kind of lay in bed and just answer some emails, get caught up on stuff, rather than get up and show up. And that's when you have to really decide, are you going to do it because you have motivation to do it today, or are you going to do it because you refuse to leave and exit momentum? I refuse to leave momentum. Like we are in a routine. We are not going to stop. We've worked so hard to get to this place. And so I just thought it was really interesting seeing and observing what consistency really looks like. Because when I walked into their homes, they were stunning. In Orange Beach, California. And I walked into their homes and I was like, this is what consistency looks like. Every single thing in this house was like, this is the product of not stopping. And I just thought that was so admirable. So how you can implement that is pick a cadence that you can stick to for years. Don't chase the, well, let me just do it so fast and do an episode a day for this many days. What if you built a system that was permanent, like something that you could say, I can stick to this, I can consistently deliver this. That is what they've done and it's what I am working on and it's what you can do too. So number one, intentionality. Number two, consistency. Number three, I made this word up. Learnability. Neither Jasmine, nor Lori, nor Tori, who owns. Who co owns with her husband, Bolt Farms. I'll put the link below. This episode, we are in their mastermind and I got to have some time with Tori. We talked about ads, we talked about business, we talked about life. We did a podcast episode and I noticed all three of them have invested in multiple masterminds, in multiple rooms and in learning different things. And even when I was with all three of them, even though the total amount of revenue that they have created in their business is higher than the total amount that I've created, simply the they've been in business and doing their thing longer and have killed it. I was so impressed by how I had a piece of knowledge, a piece of some skill that they didn't have the same. And it's like all of us have that right. We all have unique gifts and unique experiences and unique skills. And I felt like they really valued the skill that I bring with the paid advertising side just as much as I valued them and everything that they've created because. And what Tori has built and what Lori has Built and what Jasmine has built. And it says so much about you when you are a relentless learner. Like there's nothing that you're not open to learning about. And so I noticed that consistently and I thought that was incredible. And what really shocked me was how curious Lori was. She like searches for value in people. Like one of the things that Lori and I did is she was like, hey, let's do a podcast episode. But before we do the episode, let's have an ad session. Let's have a one on one ad session. Let's talk about ad strategy. And so we did. I met with her and her team and we were just killing it with ad stuff and she was just so eager. They asked so many questions and they just really respected and were intrigued by the value that I could bring from the paid advertising side. Just like I was intrigued by what they've done with their long form content and their business building and their masterminds. So I don't want you to ever feel guilt because you're like, I keep wanting to learn this and that and the other. Yeah, that's the whole point. The more you learn, the more you can earn. So it's like, Ashley, why are you in five masterminds? Honestly? Because I wanted five different groups of people that were good at all these different things. I'm constantly knowing that if I'm growing, the business will grow too, because so will my ideas. And I've seen other people do these things. So don't guilt yourself because you want to do another mastermind. Don't guilt yourself because you want to learn another skill. The more you learn, the more you can earn. The most successful people, they're never done learning. But because I feel like ego actually kills your growth. Like you have to have this humility of like, I don't know everything. And even though I'm successful, I know that I'll be even more successful the more that I learn, no matter where I'm at. Curiosity creates opportunity. And so what you can do and how you can implement this is in our rooms, every room, asking, what can I learn here? What's one thing I can take away from this experience and assume that everyone knows something that you don't? If you carry that mindset and that eagerness to learn into rooms, you will walk away with value every single time. Okay, so we are at number one, intentionality, number two, consistency. Number three, learnability, and number four, I made this word up to energy, ability, like their ability to bring forth such strong energy that is this new word that I made up called energy ability. And it's how they are able to get into flow state and not force things. So all three of them have, like a zone where they get into the flow. Like, they have a way that they operate and they have a way that they show up. So, like, this is so interesting for Jasmine. She had so much energy for me for this episode, for how we were gonna run the thing. She had water ready. She had prepared in advance. There was no frantic energy. There was prepared energy and confidence energy or confident energy. She had these automatic systems. She had her team, she had everything ready so that her energy could be spent on the most important thing, which is creating the best content for her listeners. And so that was my reminder. And it's actually something Lori said on our podcast together on her podcast called earn your happy. And I'll link to Jasmine's, I'll link to Lori's and Tori's below. But she said, remember, Ashley, people don't buy information, they buy energy. Calm, confidence is magic. And she complimented me and I complimented her. I'm like, we both saw each other for the experience that we both uniquely had, even though it was different. And so for you, protect your nervous system by, like, I talked about this. If you haven't listened to it on one of the previous episodes, like, how I prepare for batch days. It's really how you could prepare for any big day, to be honest, when you really have to deliver a lot of energy. And I could tell that, like, she had taken care of herself, I had taken care of myself. Me and my team, like, we showed up confident, ready with energy for what we were showing up for. So prepare so that you can be present and don't glorify the chaos. It's not. It's not a flex to be like, Well, I had 900 things going on. We all do. What I think is a flex is being so prepared that you can really focus and be present on the person and on the content. And it just. It just really showed with Jasmine, Laurie and Tori. So number five is resiliency. So these people, they are resilient. That's the only way you do something 500 times, 600 times, for 10 years, for five years. However long that they have been going at it, they are long game thinkers. It's why they do long form content. Content. They just don't quit. They don't stop. They don't disappear when it gets boring. They just know that success is not gonna be about all intensity. Sometimes it's gonna be about endurance. And most people will quit before the compounding effects of that kick in. And so what I notice with these three ladies is how they've decided in advance that quitting isn't an option. Like, that is their mentality. And so what you can, how you can kind of apply this is detaching yourself from short term feedback, short term goals, and saying, this is where I want to go, but like, I'm here for the long haul no matter what. I think that honestly works really well with ads. Like, if you're like, hey, you know, I've been doing this for a whole month. Like, that is not the attitude that any of them carry, including myself. It's like, I carry that energy of this. I will keep doing it until I get good at it. And if any of you watch some of my first YouTube videos, I think they're still on the Internet and they weren't good at all. And the way that you get better is through doing and just truly thinking about being resilient, even when it's not going well and just keep it on going. So that was number five. So let's recap real quick. We have intentionality, consistency, learnability, energy, ability, resiliency. Six is self awareness ability. One of the things about Jasmine that I loved when we sat down is I heard her say the phrase, would I be operating from a place of intentionality? Or sorry, would I be operating from a place of integrity? If I said blank, and I was like, wow, she is truly coming down to the core and saying, I want to make sure I'm saying the right thing, because that matters so much before she says it. And I was like, yes, that is exactly accurate. You can confidently say that from a place of integrity. And I just respect that so much. And that the self awareness of being able to say, here's where I am, here's what I'm willing to do, here's what I'm not willing to do. Like, she was so self aware of every other person in that room and making sure that they understood the message and making sure that they could tie it to their business. And then she also wanted to make sure that anything that she did say was coming from a place of integrity. And I just feel like that alone, it just says so much about her. And so all of these women, they are so intentional with their word. That's all you have for the most part. It's like you say something and your name is attached to it. And I just thought that was so admirable and just consistent with how all three of them carried themselves. They know who they are, they don't pretend, they don't over promise, they don't overstate. They are so intentional with their words. And how you can implement that is being honest about what's real and what's not. I've told my team what I want in a leader is for someone to be like no, I can handle it. I actually want people to be like, I won't be able to handle this, but here's what I could do beyond a shadow of a doubt or here's what I can learn even if I don't know it. I want that self awareness. I crave it, I respect it so much in any person saying what you can and can't do versus totally over promising and saying you can deliver something that you haven't or can't. So remember that the less you say, the more what you say matters. And just being self aware about your words and how you can help those words help the people who are listening but also making sure that you know what you're saying and you get clarity and confirmation before you communicate. So I just, I really respected that. So number seven is money ability. How many words can I make up? It's their ability to think about money differently. So I've noticed that how wealthy people think about money is different and it's because of how they see it and think about it. So if you remember and we'll have a whole separate episode honestly about money. In fact I think in the next one or two episodes I'm going to talk about all about like how you think about money. So here's what I found is some of the richest, wealthiest people I know, they're the most generous, they invest in their team, they invest in the ads, they invest in visibility. They're paying for all the things that they know are valuable which is advertising team and a great experience for their product or service. All of them had a great camera, had a great team, had the great environment. Like they really did things at a high level and they were so generous with their time and with their money. And so I think sometimes people are like oh, rich people behave. Xyz. And I just my experience with the people that I've seen that are, that are rich and blessed and wealthy is they are just like how can I take care of you? It is so incredible. And so the way that they got there is how they think about money. Money is a gift, money is a multiplier, money is responsibility. And it matters because thinking, having scarcity, thoughts and beliefs it limits your impact of the people that you actually can bless with that money. Abundance fuels growth. It feels growth in your company and your team. And so I want you to ask yourself, how can money support the vision? Because I, I think what we have to do is we have to stop hoarding and start circulating. Like, it has to go out there and it'll go out and come right back. And even if it's not immediate, like knowing that it eventually will pay off, I like that your pay in will ultimately have a payoff. That's what Macy always talked to me about. Just knowing that that is true and actually believing that, I think it can really help you. And I've noticed that's how they think about money. Last few. Number eight is speed ability. They have quick turnarounds. Like my episode with Lori on Earn your happy podcast. It went out within a week of recording it, or like seven or eight days. And Jasmine, the content of me, like, I stepped out of recording that episode and within 30 minutes it was live. Like the, the recap of it. Like the, the video, not the actual episode itself, but the, like, Instagram reel showing that we were there. They're getting their content out simply quickly because they have a team to be able to make that happen. So quick turn, turnaround, decisive, decisive action. They didn't, you know, go back and forth on edits or revisions. It's like, no, they made a decision, they trusted the person to do it, and it just got out there. Decisions were made, next steps were clear. Like, when I walked out of Lori's house, she was like, I want to do emails here. We're going to do a text this day. I'm going to do a post this day. Like, she, she was just telling her team, here's exactly what we want to do and how. It was just quick decisions. There's no, okay, let me know and we'll talk about it. It was like, no, here's exactly what we're going to do. And I feel like indecision just drains your energy, whereas speed builds that momentum. And so I want you to consider 2026 being your year. 2027. Whenever you're listening to this, make decisions with far less drama and trust yourself more. Quicker decisions, less drama with trust. That's the goal for you. Number nine is humility. There was no superiority. There was no I'm better than you. There was no ego. Every one of them were humble, they were grounded, they were human, and they were unique. And I just feel like humility keeps you coachable. And the Moment that you become uncoachable, the smartest person in the room, the moment you're gonna lose momentum. And none of them had. They just had utter humility and care and respect for me and my team. And I just thought it was beautiful because egos will isolate you. But humility attracts that collaboration and that feedback. And so the way that you can implement this is just assume you're not the smartest person in the room, have humility, know that you have accomplished something that is amazing and there's someone else who's done something else and good for them. Yay. You get to learn from them. Number 10 is confidence ability. So there is quiet confidence. There is strong confidence. None of these entrepreneurs with these incredible businesses and podcasts have had to prove anything. Their confidence was so calm and it was not loud. And I felt so safe, like sitting down with a podcast with them. I felt so welcome. And it created trust, it created confidence, it created connection. And that trust ultimately creates the influence that they have. The reason that they can influence decisions the way that they have with their podcast, with their mastermind, with their teams, is because of the trust that they have earned and developed over time through honestly putting all 10 of these things together. So for you, don't over explain and say what you mean and stand behind it. They truly had such confidence behind their path, their words that I was able to follow along like, yep, this is exactly how we're gonna do it. And that's what I bring and my team and I bring to the paid advertising world. You can have confidence in this strategy. This is how we do it. And if it's not working, we know the next move and the next move and the next move after that. And so what I want you to think about is none of these traits were actually about their fame or their wealth or what they built. It was their identity. And what we like to call it around here is a rainmaker. All three of these women have made it rain. And it is because they have changed the game. And it started with like changing how they operate. And these 10 things that they have developed, as we can recap, are intentionality, consistency, learnability, energy, ability, resiliency, self awareness, ability, money ability, speed, ability, humility and confidence ability. Because you don't become successful and then operate this way, you operate this way and then the success follows. So if you want different results, like testing out these different behaviors, and if you want to attract higher level rooms, operate like someone who belongs in them, who leads them, because I don't feel like you need a bigger platform. You just need this confidence and this identity and these 10 things that you bring into everything that you do, and it'll pay off for you. I truly believe it. So those are things that I'm working on, things I admired in them. And so speaking of things I've admired, there's actually a few authors that I admire. So in the next episode, I'm actually going to share my 10 favorite books and the order that I read them because I feel like the order has been so important. And I would recommend these 10 books so much because they've changed who I am over these past 10 years. I'm just doing advertising all day, every day. So don't forget.
