Thank God I grew. Because you're either growing or you're dying, right? And the worst thing that could happen is you get to another year and nothing's changed in your life. It's the exact same, same level of impact, same level of revenue, same everything. And so I really hope that you get encouraged because I'm going to, I'm going to share with you the five things you absolutely must have to hit your goals in 2025 and honestly exceed your goals. If you have not listened to this podcast episode on the Marketing Matters podcast where I talk about how we hit our goal, our annual revenue goal for the year in June. In June. And so. Or was it July? I think it might've been July, June or July. It was halfway through the year and we hit our revenue goal. And as I was reflecting and playing, praying and journaling on how did that truly happen? Like, like future, you know, old me, if you could tell her, what did you do? How did you do it? What did you think? What happened? How could you like just fast forward time? Like, these are the very things that I would say to her. The version of me who felt like she was so close. The version of me who felt like she was so capable. The version of me who felt like she had just all this pent up value and no one could find her, no one could figure it out. And I want to share that with you. Today. So I hope you're really excited. And I also want to share with you an invitation to the Power of Paid Ad Summit. Because a lot of what we talk about, in fact these five things, let's see. Yep, all three are going to be talked about at the Power of Paid Ad Summit. So if you'd like to go deeper and you'd like even more, you belong in the room with the Power of Paid Ad Summit. So click the link below or go to ashleybrock.comsummit to get your ticket. It is going to be absolutely incredible and an opportunity for you to get in a room where you don't feel alone, where you feel so seen, where you feel so encouraged and where you can actually talk about the things you're accomplishing in your business. And nobody's going to look at you and be like, I can't believe she's doing all this. They're going to be like, heck freaking yeah, let's go. Way to go. What are you doing next year? Tell me more. What worked for you? What didn't you tell me? Like feedback, community, all these things. It will all be in the room. So it could change your life and I know that because it changed mine and my, my life today as I record this looks day and night from a year ago today because I made these changes in my business and so I want to share those with you. So the first thing that you need in order to hit or surpass your 2025 goals is some beliefs. So I'm going to share with you what those beliefs are and I'm going to share with you the other four things that you absolutely must have. The first thing you have to have is beliefs and you have to believe in two things that are drastically different. Okay. You have to believe in compounding interest, those little things. So I'm reading the. What is the book? It's called the Slight Edge and he talks about how the easiest things to do are the easiest things not to do. And so the things that can make all the difference sometimes are the little things. They are you waking up a little bit earlier and you reading the 10 pages in that book. They are you waking up a little bit earlier and just getting a 10 minute walk in on your treadmill? They are you waking up a little bit earlier and getting the house settled before the kids wake up. It's those little things that have compounding interest over time. It's the folding the laundry and putting a like self help like personal development book in your ear instead of another book. It is Driving in the car and instead of listening to the radio, you're listening to something valuable that can change your life. It's those little things that have compounding interest over time because the playbook for anything you want to achieve is out there. And a lot of the times it's for free or from a 15 book. It's out there. The information is out there. It's just, are you going to choose to consume it or not? Now listen, don't get me wrong. I watched Virgin river after I was recovering from surgery a couple weeks ago or last week. I'm totally fine by the way. And I watched Virgin river and I just took my brain away for just a minute and it was so nice to just feel some emotions and just take, take myself away for just a minute and enjoy. And I don't do that super often because I do these little things that have made all the difference and it's just putting new ideas and new thoughts in my brain. And also I love what I get to do. So. And I have two kids, so you know, I'm either working or I'm mom and so I typically don't take time. But those little things add up over time and so do those little things. But I also want you to be willing to do the big things, the scary things, the 10x things, the things you aren't ready for. I don't know if you remember this verse in the Bible and I'll have to look it up, but it says God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called. And so if you feel called to do something, freaking do it. Stop being like, oh, I don't know the logistics, I don't know. Stop selling yourself out of what you know you should do. You're trying to convince yourself that you're right, that you shouldn't do it because you're not ready. And it's a lie. There's so much opportunity for you and it's on the other side of you ignoring the disbelief. In fact, if there's something you could doubt, doubt your freaking limits. That is from U Squared Price Pritchett. It is in my brain engraved doubt your limits. If there's anything that you should doubt. So you need these little, little, you know, compounding interest things every day. The little things, a load of laundry a day, the unloading, the dishwasher, the first thing you wake up, the making your be said, the reading the pages, the going for the 10 minute walk or 15 minute walk. It's those little things that add up and you should totally be willing to do something that you feel like you're not qualified to do and do it anyway, because it will be the very thing that opens up the doors for every possibility and opportunity that you actually want. Hear me when I say this, you will never, ever hit your goals from playing too safe and too scared. And if you hit a goal, it wasn't big enough. You've got to be willing to be uncomfortable, to do things that don't make logical sense. Not crazy. Like, don't jump off a bridge without a parachute and be like, I'm sure it'll fall out. Like, no, don't do that. But if you're betting on yourself or you're investing in your business, you're not crazy. You're smart. You're doing the thing that takes, that teaches you that you are taking you and your business seriously. So you need the beliefs that you can do anything. You need the belief that you can do those little things. And in my opinion, one of the beliefs that I want you to, like, consider engraving into your, into the rotation of the thoughts in your brain is the belief that you really don't have time to worry or stress and just map out all the what ifs or all the reasons not to. Like, in my opinion, you are too busy. Like when I'm like, oh, what if this happens? What if there's this what if there's. That I don't have time for that. And you can really sell yourself on like wasting a lot of time wondering about the what ifs or the why instead of just doing the work you need to do. So have an automatic replacement thought, say, hey, when I think about this, I'm going to automatically say, I don't have time for that. But what I do need to do that I know I can control. Because what you can't control is all these what ifs. What you can do is control what you can control. So go control that versus spending time wasting time on what happens, what ifs, what if it doesn't make sense. So you don't have time to worry. And honestly, you can't afford to doubt. And if you want to doubt something, doubt your limits and other belief is that your big goals are achievable and that you should do the thing that you don't want to do to get there. One of the challenges that I, I mean, I've experienced this myself, so I am just the most. I. I'm talking to me too. I'm preaching to the choir. Sometimes some of my clients, one of the things that they, they get challenged with is, is not watching the material. And that one thing can make all the difference, especially when you watch it once or twice and you really say, I, I want to get feedback on the material. And so it's so important to do that. Now, granted, who wants to actually sit and watch a course? You may not, but do you actually want to have a business that for the rest of your life is allowing you to be automatically findable for the people you created your business for? Probably like, that's what, that's why, that's the very reason that you should want to sit in front of a course. So I just, I just, I'm so self aware now, and I wasn't before, of just how much real estate each individual thought is taking up in my brain. And so I want you. I shared this with one of my clients today. She said, she sent me a message in Boxer and she said, hey, I'm. I'm really confused. And I looked up the definition of confused and I'm doing it again. It says the definition of confused is someone who is unable to think clearly. That's just not true. And so that one story, if you're constantly saying, I'm confused, I'm overwhelmed, I don't know. You're gonna prove to yourself that you are like, you are the problem because you're telling yourself you're confused. Believe in yourself. Tell yourself you can figure out anything. Tell yourself that the challenges make you stronger. Tell yourself that there's nothing that can stop you because you are on a freaking mission to change the world and change lives. And you're not confused. You're experiencing a challenge. And if you could. Here's, here's what I told her. I said, if you could know the answer, where would you go and what would you do? What would it look like if you had to have an answer today, what would it be? What do you think you could do? If you had to think on your own, what you should do, what would it be? And so I just told her, I'm like, I believe in you so much. And you're telling yourself you don't believe in you. And you're constantly telling yourself that you're unable to think clearly, which is literally false. So really be cognizant of what are those little things you're telling yourself because they matter, because you're talking to you more than you're probably talking to anybody else. That's why I wanted to talk about this first thing, which is the beliefs. Okay, I'm gonna keep rocking and rolling so we can get to the other four. Believe that your goals are achievable. Believe you don't have time to worry. And believe like some of you, you may, you may feel this way. You may believe that no one can care as much as you do. No one can do as good of a job as you do. And I have been there, I have felt that and it is absolutely not true. You can have people on your team that see the vision and see the value of what you have to offer. They're bought into the mission and they see the long term vision for themselves. But that's on you. If you're struggling to get people on your team that see the vision and believe and are all in and actually want to wake up at 7:30am to get the work to meet the deadline, it's on you a level of it, right? There's a certain percentage of portion that is on you to build that vision. So if you are feeling like your team is struggling, when's the last time you sold them on the vision of what's in it for them and the future of for themselves, for their company, for your, for their family, for the company. You keeping that vision so, so front forward is the very thing that will allow them to want to wake up to help change the world and change the, the clients and customers that you get to work with. So be okay to delegate, to elevate and release control. It's something I'm working on too. And then the last belief is I want you to believe with certainty that challenging things will come. Because when you believe nothing's gonna bad is gonna happen, everything's gonna go smoothly. This is gonna be great. I found the golden ticket. Everything's perfect. When I launched my ad the first time, it's gonna be perfect. All of this when you actually believe that it's only gonna be good, then you get so discouraged and set back when it doesn' you're like oh, I can't believe my account got disapproved or oh, I can't believe this ad got disapproved or oh, my website is down. I want you to feel just like you either get a laugh or cry like it's a bad thing, like you need to pray for me. I've seen my husband, if he listens to the podcast. I've seen my husband get frustrated a few times recently because he's been doing so much with. He's just been carrying the load around here for a little while. Just for a few reasons. And something was happening and he was getting frustrated and like, he wanted to, like, like punch something. Like, you know, just be like. And I was like, well, I'm. I could be mad or I could just laugh. And so I started laughing. So I was trying to look the other way and laugh because I'm like, this is. This is. You've got to be kidding me. But also, like, I'm not surprised anymore. Like, when there was a tornado storm or a tornado warning the day of the summit last year, wasn't surprised when there was a hurricane headed right for us within 20 miles of the retreat. I wasn't surprised. I'm like, I expect this. And so now my brain is like, I'm like, surprised when something goes smoothly because I just expect that it's going to be challenging. And I can't tell you the benefit that's had when bad things happen to me because I'm like, you know what? It's okay. Let me self regulate. This is normal. This is life. Like this. These challenging things happen. And so I just don't spend time dwelling in them. I'm like, okay, what can we learn? What can we laugh? Can't change it now. Like, I keep asking myself, like, what could I have changed and what can I change now? Because wasting my time thinking about what I can't change is just not helpful to me or to anybody. So that mindset can change your life. Speaking of mindset, that's number two is money mindset. So I've created something for you, and it's a mantra. I guess I need to look up the definition of a mantra, but it is, it is. I'm going to share it with you. And yes, I. I'm gonna be honest. I think I am literally a poet. I wrote this and was like, you're a poet and you do not know it. But then I was like, no, I. I definitely am. Hot diggity beep. Okay, I'm not gonna test anyway. I'm just rhyming and I'm having fun. So let me share with you these thoughts, because the thing you have to have to hit your goals in 2025 is a certain specific mindset about money. And it's the mindset that held me back. So I want to share with you this and this mantra for number two of what you have to have money mindset. So I want you to really start changing your verbiage in your mind about expensive versus valuable. So when someone says, ooh, that's expensive, I'm like, that's relative. It's really just valuable. So just think about that, like, what is the value of the thing? And so, for example, I heard Macy on her podcast where my coach and she had a million dollar day, a million dollar day at their event. And she was talking about how some people were asking. She shared this on the podcast. She said some people were asking about virtual tickets for her event because they were the same price as general admission, which included lunch. And people would message her and say, hey, why is the ticket price the same? Because like, lunch is not included with this ticket. And her thought process, which I was like, oh, yeah, that makes logical sense to me, is like, the pricing of the ticket was not based on lunch. The pricing of the ticket was based on who you become as a result of attending this event and the life change that is on the other side of you attending that event. I know my life has been changed from events including that one. Your life will be changed at the Power Paid Ad Summit. So, like, the pricing is no different for her for virtual or in person because it wasn't like based on lunch. It was based on value, which honestly, you can't put a value on you becoming the person that can actually grow the seven, eight or nine figure business. So I want you to believe about money that everything is based on the value and that there's really nothing that is expensive. It's just, you know, potentially quite valuable. So the other thing when it comes to money is you have got to become the buyer you want to attract. If you want people to buy from you, like, it's a no brainer. You have got to be a no brainer buyer. If you want people to see the value and what you have to offer, you have to be the first person to be like, yep, I easily see the value and this is something I learned from my coaches. Be the person today that you want to become. And so I just want you to think about whatever you're investing in, whether it's the summit, whether it's any coaching programs, training, education, masterminds, whatever it is, be the buyer that you want to attract. Because if you are the one that's like nickel and diming and like, what do I get out of this? I don't know. Is this worth it? I'm not gonna be able to use this part of it. What about this? You are going to attract that type of buyer who like squeezes every bit of juice and is like, let me make sure that this all adds up versus like them saying, hey, this one thing could be worth it. This one Thing could change your life. The example I've given before is if you were, for example, let me give an example with my Mastermind. My Mastermind, there's a ton of value for you if you have a six, seven or even eight figure business. And I will say that Mastermind is trending to be more towards that half a million to seven figures plus range. And there's so many pieces to the Mastermind that add value for you, including tickets to the summit and in person events like the $13 million home that I rented for the ladies earlier this month to collaborate and connect and give feedback where I took care of their stay and their food and drinks and everything for the Mastermind. And there's access, like really close partnership and consulting and access to me to give you feedback. There's all these things and I want you to think about that like going to a very nice steak dinner and having steak or if you don't eat steak, maybe tofu and having a vegetable and bread and a salad and you sit down at your plate and you eat a steak and you're full. You're like, I am so satisfied. That was exactly what I needed. And sometimes just one thing, just one piece of that whole meal, of the whole offer was worth its weight in gold. In fact, if you actually consumed everything, you'd throw up, you'd be too sick, you'd be too full, you didn't need it all, you didn't listen to your own cues and say, this is what I need right now. There's days I sit down, I could inhale quite a large meal. There's days I'm like, yep, this is good. And so you really thinking about life in anything you buy or invest in like that and saying, could this one thing be all I need to be satisfied, to be filled, to get the result that I want? And that, that looking at things like that, instead of being like, I'm not gonna buy if I can't use every single one of these and squeeze all the juice out. That that is a scarcity mindset. That is, I don't believe about the payoff. I believe about the process. That is not the version of likely the clients you want and customers you want to attract. So you have to be that person. Let's see. Yeah, I had someone recently, she's like, I hate when people are so cheap. And yet there was an instance where I was like, you, you say that and you were, you know, can treat things like it's cheap. And so I just want you to think about who Are you. What type of buyer are you? Because that is who you will attract. Something else I want you to think about with money is every time I've made an investment in myself or in my business, something big happened. We grew. So I. This year I lost 60 pounds thanks to faster Way. I have a link to Faster Way if you. I don't really talk about it too often, but I have had a few people ask me and Faster Way has really changed my life. So I've linked to Faster Way below so that you can sign up through my link. I lost 60 pounds of baby fat. That's what it was. And I am the strongest and most toned that I've ever been in my life. I changed my wardrobe, I changed my hair, I changed my office, I changed my team, I changed my car, and I'm in the process of changing my house. I've changed all these aspects of my life by becoming the buyer who sees the value in things. And as a result, when I take my wardrobe seriously and I stop feeling so insecure about getting dressed and I dread walking in my closet, just that one thing. Helping out with Charla and Emily, they have really helped me with my style. Every time I level up with a new coaching room, a new investment on the other side, it's like, there it goes again. It's like little, little, little bombs going off in the business. It's like, okay, you upgrade here, you upgrade here, you upgrade here. And when you investments, it forces you to take the action that you need to be able to get to the next level. It's just crazy. And so I wanted you to think about where are the little levels and areas of your life that you should level up this year. Because for me, that money mindset of I can't afford not to has been the very thing that has allowed me to invest in these places, which has really grown my. Just. God, just my belief in what's possible, you know? So I want to encourage you with that. And so here's the mantra I created. So I want you to say this. I want you to, after I say this, just pause the episode, say this a time or two, and then keep rolling for the last three things that you need for 2025. Okay? So I want you to say and consider believing this thought. I care less about where my money is going and more about the fruit that will start growing. The only way that money is a waste is if my vision is what I choose not to chase. When my belief is strong and my vision is clear, my dreams begin to Draw near. I'll say it one more time. I care less about where my money is going and more about the fruit that will start growing. Didn't say can't or might. I said would that will start growing. The only way that money is a waste is if my vision is what I choose not to chase. When my belief is strong and my vision is clear, my dreams begin to draw near. I want you to say that, I want you to repeat that, and I want you to really think about that money mindset as you go into 2025. All right, so let's keep rocking and rolling. So number three is feedback. So something you have to have to be able to hit your goals is feedback you cannot grow on your own. Like you alone. Alone is a low revenue zone, right? You need outside perspective and feedback because you have blind spots. I just got on a call with one of my coaches in a mastermind that I joined earlier this year and her name is Adley and she has an eight figure business. Maybe. Yeah, eight figures. Nine. I was gonna say nine. I think it's eight. She's grown her business so quickly. And I asked her, I said, what are my blind spots with my content? Please help me see with eyes that I cannot. And like instantly, boom. Okay, one thing I can change, that one thing. May. May could change the trajectory of my success with organic content. That one thing. So if I think about my investment that I made in Adley's program, that one thing, that one piece of feedback could have been worth the entire thing, you know, and that's how I look at it. I'm like, I'm going to get, no matter what I invest in, I'm going to get one good thing out of it, if not multiple. But I am so certain I can find one thing and so can you. You can always find one thing that you can say that no matter what was worth it. So perspective and feedback is number three. Feedback. If you look up the definition, it says feedback highlights strengths and identifies areas for improvement, enabling you to refine your skills and performance. And when you refine, over time, your income will climb unless you resign. So without feedback, you're not getting highlighted with your strengths and identifying areas for opportunity or improvement. You're staying the same. You're staying the same or you're declining. Right. Naturally, gravity pulls you down, whereas others can build you up. That is why feedback is so important. One of the ways that I offer feedback to my clients when we work together is through coaching, whether that's on group calls or in boxer for my mastermind. And so the definition of coaching, it says, someone who provides guidance, instruction and training to help someone in a specific area, such as a skill, including advertising. And coaching for me, has changed my life, which is why I'm so sold that coaching, whether it was when I was playing basketball growing up, whether it was when I was marching in the marching band with a trumpet and a baritone, having someone that can see your blind spots, your different perspective, it is so valuable. And without it, you will not be able to hit your goals as quickly, because others can just see. That's why there's that verse. And actually that leads number four, which is community. There's feedback and then there's community. And so I wrote in community, there's this verse in Ecclesiastes, it says, though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily, is not quickly broken. That's Ecclesiastes 4:12. And then in Matthew 18:20, it says, for where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them. And so those two verses alone just speak to the heart of community. We were not meant to be alone. We were meant to be in community with others. And I've got my hands here and I've spread my fingers apart pretty widely and I put it together and it's like when you wrap it, and it's actually hard to pull back out when you wrap, because those strands are not easily broken when more are gathered. So I just believe that community is so valuable. And if you don't have a community of other business owners or women or parents who are doing the thing that you're doing and just like cheering you on and like, you can celebrate your goals and they're just so complimentary and giving you feedback. If you don't have that community, you are missing out on a piece that can actually speed up your results. And then last but not least, are you going to be surprised if I say that the fifth thing you have to have to hit your goals is ads? No, you're not surprised. You're like, I knew it. When is paid advertising coming? Here it is. In order to hit your goals quicker, you need to be found. And so whether you. It doesn't matter where you're at in your business, I guess that's what I wanted to share is no matter where you're at, spades at paid ads speed things up. So would you agree that if less people knew about you, less people would buy your business from your business, but if more people knew, more would Buy paid ads is not magic. It is not an instant injection of a shot that immediately take. It is not any of that. It is. It is a skill that when you refine it can change everything for your business. I was scrolling through Instagram, okay? And obviously I see ads all the time in my reticular activating system. My RAS is like on ads, you know, because that's what I see all the time. You might sometimes start to see, see things and be like, was that an ad? You don't know. I do. I'm like, I have my ad glasses on. I'm like, like I'm looking at all the things. I'm looking at the audiences they're targeting when I can. I'm looking at what I'll watch an ad five times. Like, I am ad cessed, not abscessed. Wait, not that. That wouldn't be good. Not obsessed. I'm adsest, okay? Anyway, what's a dad joke? But maybe it's a mom joke. I love seeing what people are doing and what I'm finding, like, this is such a small but yet simple epiphany. And I thought to myself, wow, all of these people that I just saw running ads, they're killing it in their business. Like, wow, what a surprise. The people with the largest audience are the people who are the most findable. And what's cool is even these people that are super successful, changing the world, changing lives, they don't just like have a bunch of success and say, I'm out, I'm good, tapped out, no more ads. I don't want anybody else to find my business. They're like, let's keep going. And so that's why if you are someone that has a seven figure or eight figure business and you do want to level up, you are exactly who the Power of Paid Ads Summit was created for. And you are exactly who I can help just by getting you and your team to be able to have ads in house no matter where you're at in your business. Ads speeds things up. And so the people that are the most successful are the most known. And that's just it. Like drop the mic, drop the expo marker, boom. So if you are in a place where you're like, man, I would love to get just some more encouragement and those beliefs. I'd love to talk more about that money mindset and get feedback and be in community and learn about ads. Well, goodness gracious, all five exist at the Power of Paid Ad Summit. So click below to get your ticket. I cannot wait to see you and meet you there. And I'll tell you just a little bit about the speakers because I haven't done that. Uh, except for I think one of the episodes. Macy McNeely. She is CEO or co founder of the sales Girls. She is my coach. I have spent nearly $200,000 in total on coaching with her in the past year and she has had a million dollar day in her business. Can you imagine, can you imagine having $1 million day in your business? Or imagine knowing someone who had had a million dollar day in their business? It was honestly like a million dollar hour, I'm pretty sure. So let's just really be be clear. Can you imagine getting to learn from someone like that? It's so special and changed my life. You'll get to meet Macy. She's going to talk about how they used ads to have that million dollar hour. Are we surprised? No. And then you're going to get to meet Melissa Franks. Marketing Matters with Ashley Brock
Episode #54: 5 Things You MUST Have to Hit Your 2025 Goals
Release Date: January 3, 2025
In Episode #54 of the Marketing Matters with Ashley Brock podcast, host Ashley Brock delves deep into the essential elements that small business owners and entrepreneurs must incorporate to achieve and surpass their 2025 business goals. Through a comprehensive and inspiring discussion, Ashley outlines five critical components—beliefs, money mindset, feedback, community, and paid advertising—that serve as pillars for business growth and success. This episode serves as a strategic guide for those eager to refine their marketing strategies and accelerate their business trajectories.
Ashley begins by emphasizing the paramount importance of beliefs in reaching business objectives. She outlines two distinct belief systems that entrepreneurs must adopt:
Compounding Interest in Daily Habits: Drawing inspiration from the book The Slight Edge, Ashley underscores how small, consistent actions accumulate over time to produce significant results. She shares personal anecdotes, such as waking up earlier to engage in personal development activities like reading or exercising, illustrating how these minor adjustments contribute to long-term success.
"They are you waking up a little bit earlier and you’re reading the 10 pages in that book... those little things that have compounding interest over time." [04:15]
Embracing Bold, Uncomfortable Actions: Ashley encourages listeners to step out of their comfort zones and undertake bold initiatives, even when they feel unqualified. She quotes a Bible verse to highlight that one doesn't need to be fully prepared to take decisive action:
"God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called." [09:30]
She also references U Squared Price Pritchett's mantra:
"Doubt your limits." [12:45]
Ashley asserts that playing it safe limits potential, and embracing discomfort is essential for substantial growth.
Transitioning to the money mindset, Ashley discusses the necessity of redefining how entrepreneurs perceive expenses. She distinguishes between viewing expenditures as merely costly and recognizing them as valuable investments that yield significant returns.
From Expensive to Valuable: Ashley advises reframing thoughts around money, emphasizing the value derived from investments rather than their price tag.
"When someone says, ‘That’s expensive,’ I’m like, that’s relative. It’s really just valuable." [16:20]
Becoming the Buyer You Want to Attract: She highlights the importance of embodying the purchasing behaviors desired in clients. By being confident and clear about the value of one's offerings, entrepreneurs naturally attract like-minded customers.
"If you want people to see the value and what you have to offer, you have to be the first person to be like, ‘Yep, I easily see the value.’" [21:05]
Investment Leads to Growth: Ashley shares her personal transformation story, linking investments in herself and her business to substantial life and business improvements, such as losing weight, upgrading her wardrobe, and enhancing her business operations.
"Every time I made an investment in myself or in my business, something big happened. We grew." [25:40]
To reinforce this mindset shift, Ashley introduces a mantra for listeners to adopt:
"I care less about where my money is going and more about the fruit that will start growing. The only way that money is a waste is if my vision is what I choose not to chase. When my belief is strong and my vision is clear, my dreams begin to draw near." [28:10]
Ashley underscores the importance of feedback as a catalyst for growth. She explains that relying solely on one's own perspective can result in blind spots, hindering progress and scalability.
Seeking Constructive Criticism: By engaging with coaches and masterminds, entrepreneurs can gain invaluable insights into their business practices, identifying strengths and areas needing improvement.
"One thing I can change, that one thing may change the trajectory of my success with organic content. That one thing." [33:25]
The Role of Coaching: Ashley shares her positive experiences with coaching, illustrating how external guidance has been instrumental in refining her strategies and achieving her goals.
"Coaching for me has changed my life, which is why I’m so sold that coaching, whether it was when I was playing basketball growing up, whether it was when I was marching in the marching band with a trumpet and a baritone, having someone that can see your blind spots, your different perspective, it is so valuable." [35:50]
She emphasizes that feedback not only highlights what is working but also illuminates opportunities for enhancement, thereby facilitating continuous improvement and revenue growth.
The fourth essential element Ashley discusses is community. She highlights how a strong, supportive network can amplify business success by providing encouragement, accountability, and collaborative opportunities.
The Power of Togetherness: Referencing biblical verses, Ashley articulates the strength derived from communal bonds. She illustrates this with a metaphor of intertwined strands, symbolizing the resilience and support community offers.
"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
"For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them." (Matthew 18:20) [40:00]
Mutual Support and Growth: Within a community of like-minded individuals, business owners can celebrate successes, share challenges, and exchange valuable feedback, fostering an environment conducive to collective and individual growth.
"If you don’t have a community of other business owners... you are missing out on a piece that can actually speed up your results." [42:15]
Ashley advocates for entrepreneurs to actively seek and engage in communities that align with their business goals, as these relationships can provide both emotional support and practical business insights.
Concluding her discussion, Ashley focuses on the pivotal role of paid advertising in achieving business objectives. She presents paid ads as a strategic tool to enhance visibility, attract the right audience, and expedite business growth.
Ads as a Growth Accelerator: Ashley explains that regardless of a business's current stage, integrating paid advertising can significantly speed up the achievement of goals by increasing brand visibility and customer acquisition rates.
"Paid ads speed things up... the people with the largest audience are the people who are the most findable." [45:30]
Strategic Implementation: She clarifies that successful advertising is not about instant fixes but about developing and refining a skill set that, when mastered, transforms business dynamics.
"Paid ads are not magic. It is a skill that when you refine it can change everything for your business." [47:05]
Case Studies and Success Stories: Ashley teases attendees of the upcoming Power of Paid Ad Summit by sharing success stories from prominent entrepreneurs who have leveraged paid advertising to achieve remarkable milestones, such as million-dollar days.
"Macy McNeely... shared on her podcast... the pricing of the ticket was not based on lunch. The pricing of the ticket was based on who you become as a result of attending this event." [51:20]
She also highlights the value of learning from seasoned professionals and peers, reinforcing the idea that paid advertising, when executed thoughtfully, can be a game-changer for business growth.
Throughout the episode, Ashley promotes the Power of Paid Ad Summit, an event designed to provide deeper insights and actionable strategies for mastering paid advertising.
