Today you are going to get to hear from someone who is so special to me. She is a client of mine, but has also become a friend of mine, and it is Dr. Jeanette Bamonte. So she is a relief and traveling veterinarian, and she loves pets. She loves just caring about the nutrition of your pet. And one of the things that we've been working on through working together is she is becoming like what. What we would call the non traditional veterinarian. And we're going to talk a little bit more about how that developed, but she and I met, we're going to tell a little bit more about the story. But from the moment that we met to where she is today is just day and night, in my opinion. And I think that's actually what all of us want, right? Like, we want to start in one place and then grow and become someone even better and stronger and more capable and more skilled. And that is what I've had the honor of just watching, is watching that journey of her going from where she was to where she is now. But I'll tell you right now, if you have a pet, and especially if you have a dog and you love them and you care about what they're eating, like you have, there's no one better than this woman that you're about to meet who has just spent her time as a professional, like, really leaning into becoming an expert on dog food nutrition. And so you'll. You'll get to see. And we'll share about it at the ends. After you listen to this episode, you'll be like, okay, I've got to know where to find her. We'll tell you all about that. We'll talk about her dog food course, her cons, her consults that she does. It's really incredible how she loves on dogs and their owners. But for today, I want to have Dr. Bamonti introduce herself to tell us a little bit about you. And tell us, I guess maybe start with the story of how we met. That would be cool too.
B
You know, it's really crazy. I'd have to look in my pictures. I think it's like literally almost a year ago to the day that we met. Total God thing. I was meeting up with Hannah. Yeah, the Wealth Collaborative, if anyone knows Hannah. And Hannah is my wealth advisor. And she was in Tampa. And she's like, hey, do you mind if some sales girls come to. To dinner? And I was like, sure. And that's when I met you for the first time. I'd seen you around on social media. And we started talking, and I just remember sitting there at the dinner table with you and you being so genuinely curious about me and having no agenda and just wanting to know about me. And I don't know if you remember me. I think you remember me telling you this, that found out you had a podcast, and I went home and fell asleep listening to your podcast.
A
I do.
B
I was like, tell me all the marketing things. Like, it's not talked about in my industry. So I was like, tell me. I want to know.
A
You know, I told Jeanette the first time she told me that I don't. I was like, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I put you to sleep. Or you were just consuming so much that you just fell asleep to all the knowledge. But, you know, I. I admired that. Like, you cared about it. Like, I was so intrigued by you and what you were doing. And then on the other side of it, you were like, wait, Marketing? Advertising? Like, you were just as curious. It was really cool. I was.
B
I think it's because I've. I've had my business now five years, I've been traveling. That's kind of, I think the more layman's way to say it, where on the veterinary side, it's more. It's relief. And so I go into hospitals, and I provide veterinary support as a veterinarian staff sort of does vacations, maternity leave, cancer treatments, like, you name it. And so I own my business. I don't work through an agency. And so I think like a business owner. And I'm like, wait, marketing? Can I market my business? No one's ever talked to me about that. Like, no one. I haven't heard of anyone doing it. Like, can I be the one that does it? And so it's very intrigued.
A
Yeah, it was really cool because for those of you listening, Jeanette has. She has a few things right. She has her dog food nutrition course, which is like, teaching pet owners the core pieces of nutrition and what matters, what to choose, why, and your. Your thoughts on that.
B
Right?
A
Then you have consults, which is where you meet with the pet owner and create, like, a custom plan for their dog specifically. And then because she is this travel and relief veterinarian, and just for those of you that this is new, like, the summary is she travels to other places to be like, almost like what I would in my brain is like an interim veterinarian for the day. Like, she comes in, she still does the surgery, she still sees the pets. Like, she just comes in is the vet. It's just. It's all different places because she's a travel veterinarian or relief veterinarian. And so she has. She. She serves hospitals or works with hospitals. And then because she's so good at what she does, she also works with other veterinarians on how they can become travel and do relief services, too. So she has all these different pockets of ways that someone is searching for her. And so over the last year, like, we've advertised all of those, basically.
B
We really have. And what's. And what's really cool is that some of those came to life with us working together. There was no intent of, I need to find someone to help me market. This was like, okay, I don't really know how to package this. And I think you said it, like, if somebody asks you multiple times, write it down and put it out for the world. And I was like, these are the things I'm getting asked, like, ad nauseam about. And so maybe I should package them, because these are things I wish I had had, either as a pet owner or as a newbie. Relief travel veterinarian.
A
Yeah, I just love it. I love this. Because, true or false, you perform surgery on animals frequently.
B
True.
A
And yet she also does ads. I'm like, I'm pretty sure that doing surgery on an animal is more complicated and more challenging than running ads. It's probably why you picked up ads so quickly.
B
I'd like to think that's why.
A
Like, I think one of the reasons you're so successful is because I imagine with surgery, there's, like, all these procedures and protocols and, like, steps, and I feel like you do good with directions because that, like, you know that there's a process to performing a surgery or, like, even viewing a pet and seeing what their problems are. Like, there's a process to it. And I feel like what you found is there's also a process with ads, too. And it's just, like, any skill, you just have to learn it and practice it. Would you agree?
B
Absolutely. Like, it's nice having that structure to be able to know, like, here. Here's what to expect. Here's where you pivot. Here's where you change the plan, or here's where you just keep going.
A
Mm. Okay. So. So a few things. Number one, just for the listeners, because they're gonna care. Like, why do you care about dog food so much?
B
Oh, my gosh, I wish we had, like, hours to talk about this. And one, now that I've been doing really travel work for five years, over 70 different hospitals. I've seen, I've seen it almost, I've seen it all. I've. The good, the bad, the ugly. And it is the one thing that is not talked about enough in, in vet visits yet. It's the one thing the pet owners are doing for their dog every single day. You're not taking the vet all the time. You maybe some days you can't walk them because you live in a snowy area or it's raining or their age. Like whether they are a puppy, a middle aged dog or a senior dog, you're doing it for them. And it is like the biggest influence you can have over their health. There's a lot of things you can't control, right? Like you can't control maybe pesticides in your environment, or you can't control like their genetics necessarily 100%, but you can control like what you're putting in their bowl every single day. And so their food can either be medicine or it can be disease. And so I think it's really cool that owners have this freedom and this ownership of helping guide their dogs in their longevity and their happiness and their health.
A
So, so this is so. It's so good when, when a pet owner sits there and they hear you say that and they're like, but I, I like, buy the like, most expensive, like, good kibble dog food. Like, I'm good, right? Like, what would you say to that?
B
I hear that a lot. And I think that's like what started all of this was owners would come in because again, being at all these different hospitals, I'm, I'm curious because a good portion of the pets I'm seeing are there for sick visits. They're not there for like a wellness exam and vaccines or the ones that are. Oh, by the way, this has been happening for the past few weeks and I'm always curious, okay, well, what are they eating? And either the staff never asked the owner or they're like, oh, it's in the notes from last time. I'm like, well, that doesn't mean it's not changed. Or the owners are like, I can't remember. It's the green bag and it's really expensive, so it's good. Like that's, I wish that was the case when it came to dog food because how much simpler would it be to know, right? Like, okay, here's my budget. And so if my budget's $60, then I know I can spend, I can get like something close to that budget and know I'm feeding The best for my dog. And that's just not the case. It's. It's not at all. There's. There's very little correlation. Now, are there dog foods out there that do come with more investment that are really good? Absolutely. And there are some dog foods out there that you cannot even give to me to feed my dog. They're probably equally in price.
A
Yeah. It's so cool. So for people, just because we have to talk, I mean, I just feel like we can't have, you know, the podcast and not talk about dog food for just a second before we talk about the ad stuff. What do you feel like most people who have a dog don't realize about food, period. Besides the fact, which. Which alone was like an epiphany for me, that the price does not indicate the quality, Because I will be honest, I am used to seeing a price, and if it's high, I think that must be valuable.
B
Absolutely.
A
And so it's like a weird thing for my brain to be like, oh, this is just the person that's the best at advertising, you know?
B
Yes. No, it really is. Yeah, it really. So price doesn't always equate to quality. It's. It's not like a direct correlation. It's not an absolute marketing. There's a lot of marketing that goes on, and they love the front of the bag, they love certain words, and. And you turn over that bag, and it's a totally different story. And so it's. It's. There's a lot of. There is transparency, but it's like you have to just know what you're looking for. And so there's a. There is absolutely a way, as you as a dog owner, to have a resource to know for your current dog and your future dogs, like, what that is. Because here's the thing with dog food, and we've seen it on the human side, and it's happening on the dog food side. You have these brands that have this mission that is beautiful. And then the CEO changes or they get. Their whole goal was to build this company up for five years, and they sell it and it changes. And so you're going about thinking that you're just buying the same thing, when really you just need to know what to look for so that way you can navigate. I'm thinking of, like, what's that game show where it's like, not Ninja Warriors? I can't remember what it is, but it's like you're going through this, like, obstacle course and you're trying to, like, like, dodge all these things, like punching at you and chasing you and so you can navigate that world and, like, drown out the noise. Because right now there's like 10 people giving you 15 different opinions.
A
Yeah. So, last question about food. Because, I mean, I just, I've learned so much about this from you. And, and you know, when she was in Voxer, she, she, we were talking back and forth and she was like, so I love advertising. And also some of these dog food companies are kind of taking advantage of the fact that, like, they, a bunch of people are buying their st. So it's money, so they just spend the most to make it look the best. But like you said, when you flip over and you look at the ingredients, everything can change. And I remember when you said that for the first time, I was like, that's scary. So for pet owners, what would you say to the. Because a lot, obviously a lot of the people listening right now, they own a business, and business, business owners, as you and I know, are not typically twiddling their thumbs. So if they are busy and they're like, can I still feed my dog good food, even if it's not all fresh food, or make custom meals for the dog, like, what would you say to that person? Can they learn from you and, like, benefit from what you have to offer?
B
I don't subscribe to an all or nothing. Like, when it comes to dog food, I'm not. Well, if you're feeding kibble food, like, shame on you. And you should be ashamed of yourself. I think that every dog, because no two dogs are the same and no two pet owners are the same, need to be met with where they're at. And kibble can be a good resource. And so there's absolutely a way, whether you feed wet food, canned food, fresh food, homemade food, raw food, to know exactly what you're looking for when you're, when you're buying that food or if you're wanting someone to help make that food that you know, like, what you're trying to avoid and what you're looking for, because that's the biggest thing. If you just know what you're looking for, you can just march right along and you can feel confident that when you're going in to buy the food, whether it's in the store, online, you know exactly what you're looking for and you can feel confident. So that way when you go to your vet visit and it's not brought up, what are you feeding your dog, you have confidence knowing that that part of your dog's health, you've got on lockdown.
A
I think the goal is that as easy as it is for an owner to put a leash on their dog, they can look at the back of the dog food bag and know exactly what to look for.
B
1,000%.
A
Yeah. Got to know that. And okay. So with everything that we've done working together, I've learned an enormous. If you can't tell everybody an enormous amount about dog food. And it's even, like, caused me to question my own, like, nutrition stuff. When I'm looking at stuff, it's like, man, what goes into your body? It's literally the fuel. It's like, if your car breaks down, if I. If I don't put premium gas in my vehicle, it literally, it actually, it can't do regular fuel. It. It'll break down. I'm like, oh, that's the same thing with dogs. It's the same thing cars, the same thing with humans. The better quality food, when we know what we're looking for, the better we can operate and live and all those things. So I've learned so much from Jeanette, which is actually why I was so convicted and so really wanted to work with her. When we met, I was like, you know, I'm cheesy, and I'm like, this helps her, and it helps every parent and every, like, dog that gets to find her, that gets to have a healthier life. And here's one of the things, because in a minute, we're going to talk about, like, the byproduct of, like, running ads and momentum that can be built. But one of the things I wanted to talk about is the byproduct of, like, really good dog food. And one of the stories that you told me, or good dog food nutrition really is one of the testimonials that someone sent Jeanette. She sent this to me, and I was like, this is freaking cool. And it was a pet owner who said that after meeting with you for one of your consults, tell me, I want to make sure I log this accurately. So tell me if I'm wrong. But basically the owner's husband or spouse was out of town. And when the owner was spouse without a town, the dog was so anxious and just wasn't happy or whatever. And then actually changing the nutrition. The dog seemed more relaxed and more happy just simply because of the nutrition, even in a challenging circumstance. Is that essentially the story?
B
That essentially is a story. It was me had consulted over what she was feeding her dog and she wanted to make dog was doing pretty well, no major health concerns. It wasn't a, oh, my gosh, something is broken. I need to fix it now. It was like, hey, I just want to be proactive. Yeah, there's. There's some allergy stuff, but I want him to live as long as possible and live a really good life. And. And so we talked about options that fit for her. She's got two active boys in sports and activities, and so she can't make her dogs food. It's not. It's not an option for her right now. And so I was like, hey, what can I buy that is going to help me support my dog and what he needs? And so we talked about her dog uniquely, and we weren't even really geared towards the anxiety that happens when her husband travels where he paces at night. He doesn't want to stay in the bed, he wants to go outside. And so we had switched the food with the intent of just helping support a healthier lifestyle with less processed food that fit for her lifestyle. Again, because I don't subscribe to this all or nothing. And she noticed, I think it had been about four or five weeks, and we had talked different options. She tried one option, she liked it, and then she wanted to try another option that was a little bit even less processed. And she messaged me and said that he was out of town and out of town, I think, three and a half days. And that was the first time. And she doesn't know how long that he actually slept in the bed with her, her dog, and actually shared a pillow with her. And he wasn't pacing at night, like, well, it's gone. And I'm like, oh, my gosh. Like, what a beautiful testament that for so many reasons, right, Your dog's less anxious, he feels better, you're getting to cuddle with him. It's just this beautiful cascade effect because his nutrition is better, so his gut health is better. So, I mean, it really is this beautiful snowball effect that can happen for your dog when you go for one purpose, and then it just transforms for others.
A
Okay, so I just envisioned the dog laying there with, like, the head on the pillow, like, mom, that makes me so happy. All because of one thing that you just said. And it was the snowball effect of making one good decision. And now I'm biased, but I feel like you've made one really one out of very many really good decision and is to invest in your brain for you to have a small snowball effect in your business. And I feel like I've gotten to Watch that happen. So let's talk about the ad stuff when you were thinking about working together. Because I wanted to help all the dogs and I really liked you. Like, I'm like, I want to work with people who, number one, I really enjoy their presence and also believe in their mission. And it was like a yes the moment I met you. I'm like, I love this person. Would love to be able to help more people find you. So tell me about your honest thoughts on how long did it take you to feel sold on making such a big investment in your business? And was there anything that held you back initially? What made you decide, like, okay, I think I want to do this. I'd love to hear your like behind the scenes thought process as you were like in the decision phase of working together.
B
I wanted to and I was scared, like, and I, I. Over the last year, I've really have like embraced this whole, like two things can be true at once. And so I wanted to also, I knew that it was very non traditional. Like, it's not talked about in my industry. Even for veterinary hospitals, I don't hear much on advertising or very, very little. They'll talk about promotions that are going on, but I don't hear them talking about ads and ad spend and marketing and looking at certain demographics or like who they're gearing stuff to. It's just like, let's just help the masses. And that's great, right? And so I also knew, me being me, that I don't always do things the traditional way. Like being a relief travel veterinarian is not traditional in itself. And then to own the business doing so is even a little bit less non traditional because there are some agencies out there. And I knew that if there was a way for me to get in front of more people, like, how cool would that be to be able to help more people? Because I'm only me. I can only be at one hospital at a time, but I can advertise, I can get in front of more pet owners to make a difference. Again, doing this back then, that was four years I'd been doing this. And I think it was like 50 something hospitals at the time. But I'm like, I have seen and interacted and seen this wide variety of where this gap is. And so if Ashley can help me like bridge that gap and get me in front of like basically duplicate me without duplicating me, like, how cool would that be?
A
It really is, dude. Like, people can see, thousands of people can see your ad at one time. That's what's so cool. So, okay, so you're scared and you did it anyway. Why do you. For the people are that are out there that are like, well, I'm scared. But how do you decide to like, move past the fear to like do something different?
B
Well, ironically, this was not planned. I got a new tattoo yesterday and it says, life is the same thing unless you want the same thing. And so I was like, I like, yes, some stuff is great, but also I don't want some stuff to be the same. I want to grow. I want to grow my reach. I want to grow revenue. Revenue is not this like dirty four letter word. Because when I grow my revenue, that means I'm helping more people, which means I can help even more people because I have more resources available to me. I can go to more continuing education, I can do more certifications. So that just broadens this scope of what can happen. I think I was nervous because I had never, other than my education, I never invested that much money in myself. And so again, coming from a very traditional, structured industry that I'm like, people don't spend that much money like on themselves in this industry unless they're building a practice, like that's it. Or buying equipment. It's not in personal development or learning skills like that. There's a threshold that people spend for that. And so I was like. And also like, some of this is like non tangible, right? Like, some of these results are not tangible. Like, like returns that you see. And so. But I was always like, well, if I want to live like everybody else, then I need to do what everybody else is doing. Or I can live how I want to live and practice how I want to practice and grow how I want to grow. And this is an avenue. And I definitely felt like it was just such a God thing that like I was supposed to meet up with Hannah, who I just met like five months before. And then I was like, all of this is just so meant to be.
A
Yeah, it's so cool. I. I was thinking about it the other day. It's like one door opens and then the next door opens. And like one decision can tie back like 50 things can happen because you did one thing. And when I was sitting there thinking about all the success you've had, even just so far. And, and in my opinion and experience, we're going to be talking five years from now and it's just gonna. But what I'm about to list is just a fraction of everything that's happened for you. But when I, I Was thinking of everything that Jeanette has accomplished with ads. And I wrote down, she's grown her following. She's gotten clarity on her messaging. She is figured out kajabi and upsells and down source and created a funnel. She has grown her email list. She has gotten purchases from her course and her consultation. Now she's been her consultation. Now she's able to get spotted for relief vet services in certain areas because of her ads. Those are a lot of doors. And then other hospitals or other vets are like, can you teach me? And she's gotten people to buy her relief stuff. And then she's getting other emails from places like, hey, could you be on this podcast? Would you want to do this? Like, that's 10 little things that add up to be a lot of things. And that's just not today. That's literally every day that you know how to, like, have all these doors open. That's why I feel like you're a snowball. And then now, like, you have this dream of eventually opening up your own practice is probably something you're thinking about. And I would imagine. Tell me if you agree or disagree, but I imagine because of the fact that you know how to advertise, that probably doesn't scare you as much as it wants.
B
That's why I feel like no matter where I want to take my career now, whether it's continuing to relief or opening a mobile practice or opening an actual practice or. Or growing the nutrition side, like, whatever it is, like, I feel so equipped to grow it without me having to, like, literally duplicate myself, where I'm like, oh, my gosh, how can I have more of me? It's like, I can still be me and still do all this stuff. Like, how many times have I messaged you and been like, oh, I was taking a nap and. Which I don't ever do taking a nap. And somebody bought this or I was doing this and somebody bought this. And it's not, like, about the transaction. It's like, I was doing this where I didn't have to be physically there to do it. And I'm getting to help somebody, like, like, traveling and like, oh, my gosh, somebody found me, and now I get to help them without me having to post and pray, as you say, all the time. And what's been really cool about doubling my following, it's been a direct result of me getting clarity on my mission and my language. Like, and it's been allowed showing up to be more refined, which is refine the ads. I mean, it's again beautiful snowball effect of like, it's, it's getting more direction on like, okay, hot or cold, Hot or cold, red light, green light. And so it's really helped refine that. So now it's just, everything is just, it's like so fun. Where there was a period where I was like, like, how do I show up? How do I communicate this? And it's like, now I'm like, I.
A
Can'T wait to communicate this and that just of everything. Even if you had not gotten a single sale, a single another follower, a single person on your email list, a single bit of your website redone, if none of that had happened, but you had just gotten clarity on this non traditional vet and how, who you want to serve and why that one thing you're taking with you forever, like that one thing would be worth it. It's just the good news is there's been a lot of other little things and there are little seeds that we're going to continue to water that will continue to grow. But just like dog food, it can make a lasting change in someone's life when one thing changes.
B
One ingredient be a big thing, right? It can be a small thing. It can be like a small addition or a small removal. Like this. Again, it doesn't have to be this all or nothing that. It's just, it's not like you're saying, okay, Jenna, we have to be on YouTube and you have to do this and you have to do this and you have to do this and this and this to be successful. It's like, hey, just do this one thing. Like you and I found. Like, I think we both wanted meta to work so well and it's fine, but Google has been like the money spot. And it's like, it's not you saying, okay, well, you got to do this, this and this and this to be successful. It's just like, I'm not telling people we have to feed or this or don't feed this, this and this. It's like, can we just like make one or two little tweaks and watch? Just like the pet owner, we made those, those two tweaks. And now her dog is sleeping with her while her husband's out of town, which she, it was driving her crazy, to be honest.
A
It's probably driving you crazy having all this, like, value and you couldn't find people too. It's like one ingredient can make all the difference and so cool. So for those of you listening that don't realize, not only did Jet Jeanette Dr. Bimonti. Not only did she invest in the Mastermind, but then I had an opportunity where we could have an entire day together. And I don't even think I've talked much about this on the podcast at all, but it's a VIP day. It's exclusive for my clients. I've had plenty of people message me and say, I want a VIP day. And I say that's exclusively reserved for people in the programs, because, as Jeanette would probably agree with, if you just showed up there and didn't speak ads in the language that I teach it, you would not have gotten value out of that day because you wouldn't have been able to plan before or after. Can you. Can you speak to what can happen in a day? And I just feel like. I feel like I watch things click for you quicker. I watch. I just feel like you got things. You had already seen so much progress, but in a day, things changed. What is your thought reflecting back on your VIP day? If you look back at that date, what would you say about it?
B
Why didn't I do it sooner? No, like, seriously, because. And it took me, like, I had to miss, what was it, two days of work. So of course I was like, Dwayne, that. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Because when I'm not working, I'm not earning. But what's really cool with the ads is that I could be earning while I'm not working right now.
A
That's right.
B
And so I was very nervous about missing the work and sitting side by side with you had I not gone through it. And I had a very intentional plan of going through the playbook and knowing. Exactly. Especially because you had made some beautiful, like, improvements to it, or not even improvements. Additions to it.
A
Yeah.
B
And sitting down. I can't imagine spending that whole day not knowing and spending that whole day going over one or two things that would have. That wouldn't have benefited anyone. And so we were able to really refine and, like, polish what was already there. And again, having clarity on the communication and the mission and the. The language, I guess, like, it really just refined it. And so how we tweaked those Google Ads, I mean, we were literally pulling back into your garage and already got. And already got, like, an inquiry. And I was like, I remember you record me. And I was like, oh, my gosh, like, how cool. Like, and all I could think about was his dog. That's all I could think about.
A
So she was like, it was so sweet. Like, she cares that much about the Dog that. I was like, you gotta leave. I was like, did we have, like. We immediately had to go in and be like, did the campaign spin? Was it from the Google Ad? And it did. And we realized that there was, like, this one extra thank you page we need to track. And we were like, let's add that in there. But what matters is we were pulling into the garage and someone had searched that day, found her campaign literally a couple hours later. And she's not happy about the lead. She's like, I get to help this dog. And I'm like, oh, you are the vet that every parent, like, wants their dog to be able to be impacted by because you care that much. I'm like, she was nearly about to cry because someone searched, you know, vet, nutritionist, whatever, and they found you. And I'm like, yeah, it's that simple. And so since then, we've been refining and refining, but it's like, it's so special because you care so much. And, like, I was. You were as excited about the dog as I was excited about you. That, like, what we did worked. But that's the cool thing about ads, is it. It can take time. And also sometimes it can, like, be like, oh, that was it.
B
And I feel like I've been on both sides, right? Like, we saw the, like, steady burn where there was some traction and some interest. But then, like, we, like, refined the Google Ads, how it just. It took off in a very sustainable pace where it also wasn't overwhelming, where I'm like, oh, my gosh, I can't do this because I'm too overwhelmed with the growth that it was very sustainable. And I just think it's like, the coolest thing that you can be in one place and somebody can find you and you can. And you can serve them without having to be there in front of them.
A
And so cool. We were literally having dinner, eating really good Mexican food, and you were findable because someone was looking for help. And so now we're in this testing phase in testing different keywords and segmenting things out a little bit. But what I love is that you know how to do that. Like, you. You have, in less than a year, done, in my opinion, a complete transformation in who you are, how you communicate, and what you see as possibility in your business. And you have become the type of buyer that you hope to attract, which is the pet owner that says she can help. I'll pay it. Like, I want to be in her presence. And it's because not only did you invest five figures in the mastermind. Then you reinvested five figures in one day together. And I think that like, for I at least know for me and how I used to view money as the person that used to yell at my husband because he paid $3 for extra guacamole at Chipotle. And I was like stressing about that. Like, I. It's crazy to say out loud. And then now I'm like, no. When you invest at such a high level in yourself and someone, it's the right person. You don't want to just randomly do it, but it's the right person who cares. Like, it can speed up so much time. And I remember one of my favorite things that you said about our day was you like me and you were like launching things together and then Meredith was helping. Like you had a team all in on you and your business, that in a day we accomplished more than probably you could have accomplished. I mean, what do you think about the amount that we sheerly, like, set up together?
B
Easily. Easily four weeks. Weeks. Because I'm thinking like the boxer access, which is great and I love it. The back and forth. Because you'll respond and maybe it's. I'm responding and you know, you're doing other stuff in your business and I'm at work and like we event. We connect and it's usually within a 24 hour period. But it's like that takes time. Which is exactly the whole reason I do the consults.
A
Right.
B
It'd be very easy for me to message people back and forth on social media or email, but it's like, take weeks versus let's hop on Zoom. Let's have 40 minutes. You have me like one on one and we get to dive into it. We are not talking about all this other stuff. We are talking strictly on your dog's nutrition, but how it helps. Maybe the, the poop issues or the anal glands or the ear, whatever it is. And so having that really protected time, it really saved so much. I mean, it just. I still like the, like, I literally see night and day difference since March 6th, which is when I was up there. March 6th. Night and day difference.
A
That's awesome. Makes me so happy. I feel like that was the day that like a lot of doors opened. Like, you started to see traction. Literally what felt like everywhere. You're like, I mean, this one door.
B
I mean, I mean, I'm sending you screenshots. I'm like, do I say yes to this? How do I say, like, how do I make sure this is a good Thing, I mean, from products to podcasts to people wanting to work with me. And I'm like, I'm a one man show. Like, I can't have you work for me. It's just me, like, people literally that are like, I want to come work for you. And I'm like, thank you. But I don't know like what to. I mean, I had some university out in Dallas want me to come and speak for them. I mean, just tell me about that. Did you? I don't know. There's. There was a lot at once.
A
So maybe that's awesome. Like, that's where the intangible is. It's like, okay, you were found because someone was searching found. You went to your profile. Loved it was like, let's contact her. Then she gets to go speak at a university with a bunch of people that own pets. And she gets one person that from that is like, oh, I want to partner and send you referrals. And I'm like, oh my God. Like, all of this starts to, yes, have immediate gratification and also delayed gratification literally forever. Because a lot of doors open and the next thing you know, she spent a thousand on ads, got five consults and like five referrals, five podcasts, and next thing you know, a year from now, she's like, I'm so busy because all these doors open and it feels like it's all happening at once and it's just crazy.
B
And it really felt like that after March 6, it felt like it really just like a light again. There was momentum there. It was kind of like the tortoise and the hare, but like, there's momentum. And just since March 6th, I'm just like, it's, it's, it's definitely been like a very big noticeable change. And like, to anyone who maybe it feels like it's untraditional or non traditional for their industry or. Or even the opposite, everyone's doing it. It's like, who cares? Because you're gonna have your own spin on it. And I think that's beautiful is what you do is you teach people how to do it versus, like doing it for them. And it's like. But the saying, like, you can feed a man a fish and feed him for a day, or you can teach a man a fish and feed him for the rest of his life. And that's what I do feel like you're doing is. And that's my. And that's. It's funny because, like, that's my whole purpose too. Like, yes, we can consult, which I'm happy to do because some people need their hand and want their handheld to talk about their dog's food because it's not being addressed to their veterinary visits. Ask me how I know. And some people are also like, no, I want you to teach me how to fish. And that's where the course is. It's like, I'm teaching you how to fish so that way you can go out and catch whatever fish you want and eat as many as you want. And that's, that's the whole premise. And so being able to do that and I don't know if you know this, I had tried to run ads about a year before and was very much dismissed with my business. And so now I'm like, well, everything happens for a reason. And I could not be more thankful that it worked out this way.
A
I'm so glad. You know, as we wrap up, one thing that I want to say, which I'm so glad you shared, is I have so many business owners that say one of two things. Number one, there's a million things I need to do before I run ads. False. You should do ads first. We ran your ads and then we updated the website and the flow and the messaging because it helped us inform what wasn't working so that we could know what to fix. And then we did it. So that's thing number one. Thing number two is there is not a. If someone ever tells you, ever, ever, ever, ever, if someone ever tells you that's a business that can't run ads, then I'm going to be honest. I think that's a bunch of baloney. Unless you're selling poison and you're selling and I have an episode called if you're selling poison, so go listen to that. But if you, unless you're selling something that people do not want to buy or it hurts them like you should advertise. So if you have any, like, like I keep saying this, but I'm like, if you post on Instagram and you want people to find that post, then you should definitely run ads like Jeanette it like she helps dog parents with one on one consults for the food. It's kind of specific. But also Christina has a speech language pathology business that helps other SLPs who like to dance. It's so specific.
B
And yet she made 50 grand last.
A
Month from her ad spending 5,000. So no matter what someone has told you, if you have a business and you know and you're, you are like, like, like Dr. By Monty knew she's like, I know I have something. I know people are searching for it. I'm going to advertise anyway. And. And here she is. No, if you're listening to this and someone's told you, no, you can't advertise that. Welcome.
B
You've.
A
You've landed, like, over here. We can advertise your name and make it rain, and there's a strategy to it and we'll show you how to do it. And Dr. Vimonti is just one more example. And, you know, I'm finding more and more, even health professionals, like, we have a fertility coach, we have health and fitness coaches. We have people that own gyms. We have people that do physical therapy. I have someone who helps with pelvic floor therapy. I. We have a veterinarian here. We have a dentist. Like, no matter what it is, if you're like, oh, that's all the other people that do what I do, they say this about advertising. I have a bunch of real estate agents to say, no, you can't run ads. It is false. Welcome to the place where you can advertise. And even if you're a doctor, I promise you it's not. I promise you doing surgery on a dog is more complicated than ads. It's still going to take practice.
B
Look at me. Like you can't find it one place. I'm like a gypsy. And so. And I'm. And I'm doing it, so I'm obsessed.
A
Last thing before I am going to ask, like, where people can get your course and your consults, because I hope one of you listening, if you're worried about your pet's health, I really do hope that you consider partnering with Dr. Bravante, because she's that good and she's that experienced, and there's no one that I've found that's that cares as much as about dog food as she does. And now other veterinarian places, like, they're like, saying, can I send people to you instead of give them this cheat? Like, she is becoming the number one, like, most known for this. So definitely she's going to show you how you can reach out. The last thing I would say is, as you reflect on this year of working together, what would you say to someone who's considering the idea of learning ads, period? What would you say to them?
B
Learn how to fish. You'll feed yourself for a lifetime. And what's really cool is that no matter what your business looks like, how it pivots, how it grows, how it changes, or if you Open another business. This is a skill that you literally can just rinse and repeat. It's not just specific to where you are right now.
A
Mm. And, yeah, whether you're online in person. I mean, we've advertised every one of your offers and now literally do it.
B
Yeah. So you can find the course or consult at the. They go to Southern Veterinary Services dot com. There's different dropdowns depending on who you are. And then you can also find me on social media, the underscore non traditional veterinarian.
A
And I am going to. If you're listening to this on the podcast, if you click on this episode, you'll see links to her Instagram, links to her website. We'll have all of that there. Same Thing on YouTube. Link below. This video has everything. So you can meet her. She's absolutely wonderful and, like I said, has become not just a client, but, like a friend. I like, I look forward to just, like, keeping on chatting about ads forever. So. I'm so proud of you. I'm so thankful to work with you. And thank you for, number one, how much you care about dog food. Number two, how you invest in yourself and how. Just intentional you've been. And honestly, like, freaking relentless you. Like, there was a time I didn't say this in the podcast earlier where we, like, paused her ads for a minute. We were like, we need a literal two weeks nothing. We were like, let's just shut it down and restart.
B
And it was because there was some momentum. And I was like, oh, okay.
A
But I told her. I was like, do you? Like, it was almost like a.
B
Do you.
A
She was like, should I pause? I'm like, honestly, yes, we need a reset. We need a restart. And she was not like, oh, I'm so frustrated. These ads, they're not working yet. Like, I'm getting some sales. It's not profitable. She was like, no problem. We're gonna F it. I can't wait. Oh, also, I might should invest in a VIP day. And I'm like, yeah. And then it's all come together. And now for the rest of her life, she has the skill that she's really began to master. And so if you're listening, I'm not selling a magic ticket of everything being perfect all the time. What I am like, inviting you to is an opportunity to. If you are the relentless person and you are so committed to yourself and, like, really getting your word out, you can have ups and downs, and eventually you can be on a positive trajectory, which is what Dr. Bravanti is on. Right now with her ad. So I just commend you for being the person that just doesn't quit and like having a good attitude about it even when it wasn't doing what you want. And that is one of the many reasons you are where you are right now.
B
And I also want to add this little bit that doesn't get like high enough is the community that you have nurtured and you've attracted because of the type of business person you are. And it was at that in person event that we had in December because being part of the Mastermind that it really, that was also a key factor in it. And I don't think it gets enough recognition that you were around. It's not like this like minded boss babe vibe. It's that you're around other successful business owners who are wanting to grow, who are experiencing very similar challenges that you are that maybe are specific to you as well. Or not how you get to learn, but also how they like make you better maybe think outside the box, how they're collaborative, how it's, it really is. It's not. You don't get just Ashley. And so that's been one of the coolest things too is you get all these other people that help also like lift you up as well when, when you need it and give you the ideas because you come with a great marketing perspective, but also you get these people in the community that it's like, okay, you also kind of have a marketing brain, but you're also learning. So as somebody who's like the average person too, give me your perspective. And so it's this awesome collaboration as well.
A
I'm so glad you said that. You know, I don't talk much about the community and the mastermind, so it's like a good, a good note because sometimes the ideas that y' all give and receive from each other are way better than mine. And I'm like, well, thank God we're all together and especially when we're in, in person. That's why with the Mastermind as it's structured today, so if you're listening to it today, there are either one or two in person events that we do throughout the year and we have these collaboration sessions. We have just so many opportunities for you to get outside perspective. And that is just one of the perks. I don't, I don't talk about very often, but one person can give you one idea that you didn't even get from me that changes the trajectory of your business. And a lot of the business owners I found in the mastermind. Their clients are in the mastermind. So it's like, hey, you're kind of my exact target audience. Could you tell me and and they will, they'll give you the most honest, direct feedback. So I'm actually really, really glad you shared that. It's one of my favorite pieces too is like have having and building this community so that business owners don't have to be alone. Even if they are like solopreneurs. You don't have to be alone. It's really cool. Cool. All right, well if y' all can tell Jeanette and I could talk all day every day because she's just such a good person. So everything is linked below this episode. We are so thankful that you chimed in that you reach out to Dr. Brimonti if you are considering ads added per you get a really cool community around here. I mean I'm biased but I think it's like the most exceptional group of entrepreneurs and business owners growing their six, seven and eight figure businesses. And you belong in the room so can't wait to see you on the next episode. And thank you Dr. Mounti for joining us today.
B
Love being here.
