Danielle
Sam.
Adam
Hey, everybody. Welcome to Mariner Martinis. I'm Adam. Here's Danielle.
Danielle
Hi.
Adam
So first off, happy Mother's Day. Well, thank you to a wonderful mother who has raised our children impeccably.
Danielle
Impeccable. That's our son's favorite word. Now our 13 year old. Impeccably. How was school today? It was impeccable. I don't know where he got that from.
Adam
And second of all, I have not said this in a very long time. I don't know what we're talking about.
Danielle
Yeah, you haven't said that.
Adam
Right. I've been very good about that, but this time I don't.
Danielle
Yeah. Well, it's Mother's Day, and so of course I came up with a topic and made all the questions and the answers and everything like that.
Adam
Yeah. What? I don't understand why you're laughing about that.
Danielle
I mean, Adam, like sweating because you were brushing me. So we've been doing like some heavier episodes and just the world is heavy right now feels like that. And so I wanted to do something like fun and light, but also timely and relevant, so I made a little Jeopardy game.
Adam
Oh, wow.
Danielle
It's. The sheet is right next to you.
Adam
I didn't look at it.
Danielle
Oh, I handed it to you.
Adam
No, you put it in front of me. But I didn't look. I know at what point I'm supposed to.
Danielle
So you can look.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Okay. So I made a Jeopardy game. And then if you want to, next week can be your turn.
Adam
And it's been a long time since we played a game.
Danielle
I know. For doing that, I think you are so welcome. But two things. First off, I was like, trying a little bit to use Chat GPT. I've been trying to use it some because I'm so overwhelmed.
Adam
There's nothing wrong with that. I don't like the. The stigma against using ChatGPT. Like for certain things, I guess.
Danielle
Yeah. I mean, look, when I've tried to use it, when I've tried to use it, I. I feel like for topics, it's good. But when you get into the writing of things, I. I guess I. So in my mind know what I want to say, you know, and this is one thing that I've noticed with Chat Chat Chat GPT is that it does not understand my mind.
Adam
Wow.
Danielle
I'm the opposite, See, because I am chaos, right? Like, I have no organizational skills. I have no. Like, when I put some A topic together, the way I do it is like I just throw a bunch of shit on the floor. I mean, proverbially, proverbially speaking. And like then just kind of match it all up, like in my mind and it's way too organized and you know, has like, it's three steps ahead of me, but also three steps behind me, if that makes any sense. We need an ADHD version or I need an, a woman's ADHD version of Chat GPT.
Adam
That's clarifying it because for me, I know all the things that I've been using it a ton recently for the new business and for all kinds of things involved with, with the business. So I type into it. Here's what I'm thinking, here are my thoughts, right? And I just type, type, type, type, type, and it spits back to me and I'm like, yes, that's what I was trying to say. So it's fair to use because I didn't say, hey, ChatGPT, make this for me. What ideas do you think? Like, I give it all the input. It just gives me the proper output.
Danielle
Right, right, I noticed that. But I also noticed that there are certain things like, you know, when I'll say things like, you know, give me something inappropriate or, you know, funny and wrong, like funny and quote, unquote wrong, and it spits something back and I'm like, oh, come on, that's like a Tuesday morning for me. Like, it doesn't go quite to the level that I need of inappropriateness and, you know, it's like a limit, I guess it doesn't want to get sued.
Adam
Well, I think, I think AI at this point is still woke, so it's having trouble doing those kinds of things.
Danielle
Damn. Starting already, huh?
Adam
I'm fucking with you. Listen, what the fuck do I know?
Danielle
Yeah, I, I just feel like some things are. You need a, a unique human to do, you know, like, and so I think that there are certain. I was watching something though, that was saying that Chat GPT, you know, how they. There are certain things, like for instance, if you put in a picture, you say you want a picture of a watch, right? Like that says 1203. No matter what time you put in the picture, that it, like if it does an image Will be like, this is just an example of something. Will be 10, 10, no matter what time you put it. Because what it does is it scans the. The Internet, the web, and most watch pictures and watch advertisements. The hands are at 10, 10.
Adam
Interesting.
Danielle
So it still is like, you know, there's a lot of issues with that.
Adam
That's because you're not paying for ChatGPT. Whatever. Four or five. Right. Like, I use the free one.
Danielle
I don't know. No, I think. I think that's an overall thing. And I also think that, like, for instance, if you. If you want words on an image.
Adam
I had problems with that.
Danielle
Yeah. So stuff like that, especially if you say if it does it and then you ask it to, like, generate a different one. Forget it. Forget it.
Adam
Yeah. When I. When I was first looking, like, designing a logo and like, all things for my website and, you know, I was trying to use ChatGPT to get me started, and then I would kind of freelance and do it on my own. It was not at all, like, it didn't get any letters right. Like, none of the words were right. Yeah, like, it was a weird. It was laid out kind of weird.
Danielle
Oh, I guess you have to. You think about even, like, Siri and Alexa, and they're still, you know, they get 50% of what you say right or 50% wrong. Like, there's those kinds of things. Like, they're, you know, it's.
Adam
We're getting there.
Danielle
It's hit or miss.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Okay, so the Jeopardy. Game, I had a few titles, but the one that I decided on because we already did, Are you smarter than a fifth grader? And we failed. So one of them that I have is, are you smarter than a feminist? The other one I had is. Hold on. I have so many.
Adam
Wait, I don't see that on my.
Danielle
No, no, that's just the name of the game. Those are the categories. You're gonna read those in a minute.
Adam
Gotcha.
Danielle
The other ones were the. The mansplain games.
Adam
You want me to tell you how that works?
Danielle
Yeah. So funny and facts. You'd know if you listened to women.
Adam
Okay. This is going to be a fun game. I can't wait.
Danielle
I tried to be fun. Yeah, I'm having trouble being constantly. It's not. It's not going great. Okay, so do you want to read everybody the. The list of topics now? Obviously, it will take us forever to get through all of these, so I was thinking we just do a certain amount. And I was thinking if you get like, we should do a. A Bet. If you get like. Like, we should pick an amount we're gonna do. If you get 50%, right. You win, and I have to do something or, like, more than 50. Right. If you get less than 50. Right. The other way around.
Adam
Okay, so this is an actual Jeopardy game where I have to, like, know the answers to your questions.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
I try to make them very well. You know what? Some of. A lot of it is a review of other things you've learned in episodes we've done.
Adam
No, I don't remember anything.
Danielle
Well, that's not good. That is not good. Okay. But. So there.
Adam
I'm not here to learn. I'm here to have a. What a wonderful time with my wife and connect with you and be with each other. That's my goal for the.
Danielle
For doing this podcast now you need to learn. Okay, so there are a few. There was a tattoo. Choosing one that I came in. No, no, the bet. The bet. What we could do for a bet.
Adam
Oh, we have to, like. Like an impractical jokers kind of thing where if you lose, you ha. Like, you don't get to. You choose the other person's tattoo.
Danielle
Yes, but I'm not. Like, it can't be something like, I'm not getting a penis on me.
Adam
No. Like Jaden Smith leg. That's what they did.
Danielle
I mean, we. I think we would have to come up with, like, what they would be, and they would have to be something.
Adam
Respectful to each other.
Danielle
Well, like. Yeah. Something fun but meaningful, kind of. But, like, you pick mine, and I would pick yours.
Adam
Yeah, I'm good with that.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
I'm ready for my next one, by the way.
Danielle
Okay, well, this might be the next one.
Adam
Okay. I'm gonna lose.
Danielle
And then the other one is that you have to. If you lose, you have to make a donation to the organization of my choice, which would obviously be like Planned Parenthood.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Yeah, but. And then there was another one that was that you have to make a video that I post on my feed on. On Instagram saying that, you know, you lost to your wife because she's so brilliant.
Adam
I'll say it on here. I don't want to do the video, but tattoo me up. That's my choice.
Danielle
So should we do tattoos?
Adam
That's fine. Yeah. Because I. I've been. Well, I already know what the next one I want is, so I'll do. I guess two. I'll do yours, and then the one that I wanted to do, too.
Danielle
All right. Maybe I'll put something in the stories and People can choose what we have to get.
Adam
Well, that's not fair because I already said the one that I don' Want to do. So everybody's going to say, yeah, that's the one he's going to do.
Danielle
No, what we're saying, we're not going to do that. I don't want to. I don't want it to be anything that's like. We're going to look at and be like, bl. Like, right. You know.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
Bring it on.
Danielle
Okay, so here we go.
Adam
Do I choose?
Danielle
Yeah, you choose. And I have the questions and the answers. And I have plenty of background information for all the answers too, because I knew you would be wondering and you'd want more information, which I obviously get.
Adam
Okay. Your body's been lying to you. I'll start with a hundred dollars.
Danielle
Your body's been lying to you. This is a. Wait, can you keep track of, like, points? Because you know I'm not good at that.
Adam
I don't. You have a pen?
Danielle
Yeah. Here. True or false? True or false. The clitoris has more nerve endings than the penis.
Adam
True.
Danielle
Do you know how many.
Adam
Oh, come on. That's not.
Danielle
I know. I'm just asking. You got it right. You got it right. What?
Adam
72? 143. No, I. I don't know. 4.
Danielle
How many nerves endings?
Adam
8 million, 8,000.
Danielle
Okay, I get a hundred nerve endings.
Adam
How many the penis have.
Danielle
Oh, who cares?
Adam
Oh, good.
Danielle
Less than 8,000.
Adam
Exactly.
Danielle
Listen, we don't need any more information about men, okay? There's 27,000 studies you could look up right now.
Adam
There's lots of lonely men out there these days.
Danielle
Oh, here we go.
Adam
Next is, what are Ro mates?
Danielle
Romate? Like Rover v. Wade. Ro mates instead of roommates. Oh, see, I was funny. Witty.
Adam
Say what? 100.
Danielle
Say what? True or false? The ERA Equal Rights Amendment is fully ratified in the U.S. do you know what that even means?
Adam
I don't even know those words.
Danielle
Meaning, like, it went through the Equal Rights Amendment, like, was voted through, that women are supposed to have equal rights to men in pay and in, you know, all of the other.
Adam
Okay, so I'm gonna say no because there's still an issue out there with this happening.
Danielle
That's correct. It has not been ratified. Still in 2025.
Adam
Crazy.
Danielle
Yes.
Adam
Aren't you impressed that I even, like, thought it through and knew why it was not?
Danielle
These are the hundred dollar questions. Is the G spot scientifically proven to exist in all women? The G spot, do you know what that is?
Adam
That's not funny. I've been there.
Danielle
The G spot.
Adam
In all. No, I'm gonna say no. All. I. I would assume there are women out there that lack the G spot.
Danielle
Yes. And. Well, first of all, there's a lot of debate about what and where the G spot actually is. And it can be different for women. And yes, there has not been any. Like, the G spot is an actual scientific thing.
Adam
No, I'm killing it.
Danielle
Killing it.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
What the fuck? History 300.
Danielle
She gave us preppy blazers, manipulation as an art form. Form, and some of the most iconic mean girl moments ever to grace the croquet field.
Adam
I. I don't even. I can't even. Read it to me again.
Danielle
She gave us preppy blazers manipulation as an art form. Remember? It's fiction. Right.
Adam
Is it. So is.
Danielle
A character or. If you. Even if you name the movie, I'll give it to you.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Manipulation as an art form and some of the most iconic mean girl moments ever to grace the croquet. Or is it Croquette Field? You can just give me the movie Working Girl. Give me Heather Chandler Tethers.
Adam
I never saw that.
Danielle
I'm sorry, what?
Adam
Yeah, I never saw that.
Danielle
How. Wait, Christian Slater's in it.
Adam
What does that mean?
Danielle
I don't know. I feel like you've seen every Christian slave.
Adam
No, I haven't seen everyone, but I. I like him. I haven't seen everything, but that's one of the ones.
Danielle
How have you not. I know. There's like a list of movies that get them all confused that you haven't seen. There's some others on it.
Adam
There's a weird list of 80s movies I never saw.
Danielle
That's crazy that you never saw Heather's.
Adam
All right, all right.
Danielle
You want me to give you a different one?
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Okay. A different.
Adam
Wasn't Working Girl like the. The Square Blazer.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah. It was a very, very good guess.
Adam
Thank you.
Danielle
It was excellent. I'm super impressed. It was fantastic. She was the ultimate cool mom with pink velour cocktail hour and an open door policy on teenage chaos and gossip. Pink velour cocktail hour. I don't know if you've seen this movie either.
Adam
She. Pink Velour.
Danielle
She's a cool mom.
Adam
Cocktail hour.
Danielle
I'm not a regular mom. I'm a cool mom.
Adam
No.
Danielle
What?
Adam
No, I'm not.
Danielle
Who is Mrs. George in mean Girls? Did you see Mean Girls?
Adam
Yes.
Danielle
Oh, once. God, it's like I don't even know.
Adam
I would like to watch that again. I did see it once.
Danielle
I think, oh, God, you have to watch that again.
Adam
I mean, I love the cast, so.
Danielle
The movie's so good. Tina Fey is the way she directed it. For me, this Pride month this year just hits different. I really feel like each of us needs to step up and support the LGBTQ community in all the different ways. And right now, it's harder than ever for business owners to be openly inclusive and foster a nurturing environment for everyone, no matter of their identity. And so we need to support those businesses also. And if you're a team leader or a business owner, you know how much it matters to show up for people during Pride. But let's be honest. Figuring out what to do, making sure it's inclusive, meaningful and fun, that's a whole project. That's why I'm so excited to share Kabloom. They run virtual Pride events hosted by amazing drag queens. Think drag bingo, team games, and an educational Pride party that feels joyful, not forced. It's stress free, totally vetted, and gives your team a chance to laugh, connect, and celebrate with intention. Bonus. Kabloom donates 10% of its profits to LGBTQ nonprofits as a thank you for being a marriage and martinis listener. You'll get 15% off when you mention the podcast. Head to kabloom events.com to book something your team will remember. That's Kabloom and K A B L O O M events dot com. I already booked my event and I definitely think you should go over there and check them out and book yours.
Adam
Give me another one. Okay, well, wait, where are we? What category?
Danielle
Fictional.
Adam
Famous fictional first.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
Okay. Yeah, give me another one. I like these.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
Even though I'm not getting them, right? I like them.
Danielle
This 80s teen icon had a brother who forgot her birthday.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
A crush on Jake Ryan. This was the hundred dollar one.
Adam
No, no, this is easy. But I.
Danielle
And a whole generation rooting for her awkward greatness, Molly Ringwald. No.
Adam
What?
Danielle
What's her name in the movie?
Adam
Oh, come on. I have a real name. Isn't that better?
Danielle
No. I'll give you half for that. I need her name in the movie.
Adam
Give me a hint that I don't know.
Danielle
A hint. How do I give you a hint?
Adam
Rhyme it with something.
Danielle
A bantha.
Adam
Samantha. Yes, yes.
Danielle
Samantha Baker.
Adam
Right? No, I know Molly Ringwald. I don't know Samantha Baker.
Danielle
Really?
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Adam
I'll give me 50.
Danielle
Believe it. She forgot my birthday.
Adam
No, I could picture it. I can see it. I know the whole.
Danielle
You know what movie that. That film.
Adam
Is really.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
Sixteen Candles.
Danielle
Yeah. I mean, what. What. What year? Sorry.
Adam
Oh, the exact year. No.
Danielle
84.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
Access denied for 100.
Danielle
Ooh, this is a good one.
Adam
All right, give me something else. The laws. Lies. No, I don't want that.
Danielle
Access denied for how much?
Adam
Start me at 100. I'm, you know, I'm not feeling.
Danielle
Oh, this is good. You should know this. But you won't even if you give the nickname for it. I will allow it. You don't even have to give the medical terminology.
Adam
I hope not.
Danielle
All right, what are. You can even name one of the two medications used in a medical abortion. It might have happened.
Adam
Plan B.
Danielle
Yes. Okay.
Adam
Yes.
Danielle
But do you know either of the medical terminology, Medical names? Well, it's important because it is a big. Right now they're putting. You know, they. They want. The Republicans want to. Some of them want to ban it, so it is an important thing to know, but. Okay, it's. And I'm not good at the names.
Adam
Yeah. No. Who is?
Danielle
I mean, Mifa Prestone.
Adam
Right.
Danielle
Mifa Prestone and Misa Prostal.
Adam
I'm gonna stay away from this justice stuff.
Danielle
Don't stay away from the justice stuff. This is the stuff you need to know.
Adam
Yeah, but I don't know. But I'm gonna lose, so I have to stay away from it for the purpose of the game. All right, fine. Give it to me for a hundred.
Danielle
Which one? Access denied.
Adam
No, the low. The justice. Lady Justice. Those lies in lady justice.
Danielle
Oh, okay.
Adam
RBG.
Danielle
Huh?
Adam
RBG. That's got to be it for 100. That's the one. I know.
Danielle
No. True or false? Spousal rape was legal in some US states until the 1990s.
Adam
True. I knew that.
Danielle
Yep. Do you know what? I. I actually do know this. I don't have it written here.
Adam
It's got to be.
Danielle
Do you know what the last state to get rid of it was? And what. What was?
Adam
Alabama.
Danielle
No.
Adam
Aren't they, like, all backwards on the.
Danielle
Well, all the southern. Most of the southern states are backwards. But do you know which was the. The last to criminalize spousal rape in the year?
Adam
Missouri.
Danielle
No. North Carolina. In 1993. It was. It was not illegal. You could not accuse your spouse of rape until.
Adam
In Carolina.
Danielle
Until 1993.
Adam
Is that one of those laws that was, like, still on the books, but if it ever happened, they actually.
Danielle
Who wants to even take that chance?
Adam
No, no. What I'm saying is, like, if I was raised.
Danielle
Yeah, I know, because women are always believed when they're raped. Why do you think no women ever come forward? And people always say, well, why didn't she come forward? Because of that? No, of course not. What? No one's ever giving a woman a benefit of the doubt in that. In that situation, unfortunately, fictional femme fatales.
Adam
Okay, you pick.
Danielle
Fictional female femme.
Adam
All right, give me the 400. Let's go crazy.
Danielle
Wow. Look at you go. Okay. What? 400?
Adam
Sure.
Danielle
Okay. Who was the first woman. Well, this is a good one at. Who was the first woman to run for US President?
Adam
You're not talking about, like, the final two. Right? Like, so. Like, in the whole campaign.
Danielle
Right, right. That she, you know, she tried to run for a primary.
Adam
I don't know. I don't know. I. You know, like, obviously, I would have said Hillary Clinton for the first. You know, for the. For the vote, for the presidency, but I don't know as far as the candidates, you know, when it's spread out, and so I don't know.
Danielle
All right, wait. Well, so she. You want me to tell you?
Adam
Yeah, of course I want to know these things.
Danielle
She announced that she was running for president of the United States. In 1871, although women did not have the right to vote, it was not illegal for women to run for office. Victoria became the official nominee of the Equal Rights Party. She was the first woman to run for president. Historians argue that it was more symbolic than a viable candidacy. Victoria did not receive a significant number of votes and was not yet 35 years old, the minimum age for the presidency, according to the Constitution Institution. I think that was actually from famous and fictional firsts.
Adam
Yeah, because that's not.
Danielle
Categories are too similar. So she's not a. She's not fictional. She was a. A real person.
Adam
All right, so give me some fiction. I want some, like.
Danielle
Oh, some movie stuff or something. Yeah, okay.
Adam
I'm crossing off that loss, by the way, so.
Danielle
Why?
Adam
Because it wasn't fiction, so.
Danielle
Oh, Lord.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, come on.
Adam
I'm ahead.
Danielle
No, that doesn't.
Adam
Give me. Give me some fictional femme fatales.
Danielle
Oh, boy.
Adam
Okay, just tell me which. Which numeric numeral. Question amount.
Danielle
What?
Adam
100, 200, 300, 500. Doesn't matter. Any of them. Fictional femme fatales.
Danielle
Oh, see, it's hard to do fictional characters with you.
Adam
Why?
Danielle
Because I don't feel like you're gonna know, like, a lot of the good. Like, have you ever seen Little Women?
Adam
No.
Danielle
No. Have you ever seen. Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of these that I feel like maybe I didn't. Oh, oh, here's a good one. Wow. See, I don't know if you're gonna. All right, I'll do this one. She was the only girl in detention, wore too much eyeliner, and made were all a little messed up. Messed up sound like a mantra.
Adam
Well, that's the Breakfast Club, right?
Danielle
Do you remember her name?
Adam
No.
Danielle
Do you remember who played her?
Adam
Nope, I don't remember any of their names. So it's not.
Danielle
You don't remember the. Who played the actress who played her?
Adam
No.
Danielle
She was also insane. Elmo's Fire.
Adam
Never saw it. That's on my list. That's on my 80s list.
Danielle
I mean, how can you.
Adam
Well, no, I know. I know Molly Ringwald. I know that actress. That's the only name. No, I know Emilio Estevez. No, I'm saying from the move, like, because you're judging me as, like, you know, the male characters, but, you know. No.
Danielle
That name doesn't mean anything to you, Ali Sheedy?
Adam
No.
Danielle
That's crazy. All right, well, anyway, her name was Allison Reynolds in the Breakfast Club.
Adam
All right. But I got it right.
Danielle
It was 19.
Adam
That's what matters. I mean, how much was that question worth?
Danielle
Really? Get that right?
Adam
I said the Breakfast Club. That was what you're looking for.
Danielle
No, it wasn't.
Adam
All right, give me. I'll take 100.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Adam
Keep it going. Women who kill it for 200.
Danielle
Women who kill it for. For how much? 200.
Adam
My answer is Danielle.
Danielle
Very funny. Okay. Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde. Have you seen Bonnie and Clyde? I feel like we watch. You've never seen Bodi and Clyde?
Adam
I saw Thelma and Louise. Does that count?
Danielle
Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde. Right. And they were real people. The Bonnie and Clyde?
Adam
Yeah. Those are the. The bank. Yeah. The bank robbers.
Danielle
Yeah. Oh, my God. You have. You would love Bonnie and Clyde.
Adam
Maybe I have.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. Yeah. Oh. What? Oh, my. Yeah, I think you have. I think we watched it a long time ago together. Okay. Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde was a famous poet.
Adam
What? Was there a question there?
Danielle
Yes. True or false? Sorry. Was she a famous poet?
Adam
Was Bonnie from Bonnie and Clyde? If a famous poet.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
Yes.
Danielle
Correct.
Adam
I know. I did research when I. After I watched the movie to find out the background of Bonnie.
Danielle
Yeah. Huh.
Adam
To learn.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm sure. I probably didn't even know her name was Bonnie. I just thought the movie was called Bonnie and Clyde.
Adam
All righty. I. So I think we touched upon every category except for one, which is what? Romance and realities, Roman, realities.
Danielle
Okay, so do you want to do that one?
Adam
Yeah, let's go for it.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
I'm killing it, so bring it on.
Danielle
I mean, which number?
Adam
Give me 100.
Danielle
Okay. In what year?
Adam
Oh, come on.
Danielle
No, this is an important one. No, you need to. You should know this.
Adam
Can I have a decade?
Danielle
No. You can. I'll give you a five year.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
What year was Roe v. Wade decided by the Supreme Court? What year?
Adam
Oh, I. Wasn't it in the 60s?
Danielle
I'm not saying anything. I give you a five year. That's very nice to me.
Adam
7.
Danielle
No. 1973. You don't see all the shirts that say 1973. No, no, it's not. Pretty good. You didn't even get the right decade.
Adam
I was. I was closer than a decade. I was. You know What? I say 67. You said 73.
Danielle
I mean, I would think that's a little bit obvious. Obvious that it's, like, probably during, like, the women's movement.
Adam
The women's movement. It's always a women.
Danielle
No. Well, okay, so make it so we don't have to always have a woman's movement and we won't have a woman.
Adam
I'm working on it.
Danielle
No, you're not. Not even a little bit.
Adam
I'm learning today while we're doing this.
Danielle
Yeah. Because I have to teach you. Okay.
Adam
So that's a loss.
Danielle
That's a loss in. In so many ways.
Adam
Where. Let's go back to the movie.
Danielle
No, no, no, no. Do something else.
Adam
Sex, Lies and trivia for 400.
Danielle
Sex, lies and trivia for 400.
Adam
Did you ever see the movie Sex, Lies in videotape?
Danielle
Yes, of course.
Adam
I never did. But the. Like, I remember the, like, the promos for it.
Danielle
Angie McDowell. Andie McDowell.
Adam
Was that a good. Was it a good movie or.
Danielle
It's like a cult classic.
Adam
Okay.
Danielle
Yeah, it's James Spader. Yeah, I think you would like it.
Adam
It's too late.
Danielle
Or, you know, you can say that about all of them, but that's my point.
Adam
Like, I, I. All the movies that I haven't seen from the 80s, like, I don't watch. I'm like, am I too late? Like, is. I mean, worth it anymore?
Danielle
I. I think one time, instead of watching Rocky, you could put on one of these.
Adam
I haven't watched Rocky in a long time, but I did just watch Friends movie with Talia Shire. Nonas. Excellent movie with Vince Vaughn.
Danielle
Like, is that Netflix?
Adam
Netflix. Brand new. 2025 new movie, Worth a watch. Really good.
Danielle
And it's based on a true story about.
Adam
Based on a. Grandmas who.
Danielle
Who cook.
Adam
Yeah. So, yeah. He opens a restaurant in honor of his mother.
Danielle
He pays them.
Adam
Right? Just. Yeah. I mean, as best he could. At least in the beginning. Which was. It doesn't matter. Watch the movie. It's really good.
Danielle
Okay.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Okay. What are we doing? Sex, Lies and trivia.
Adam
Yes.
Danielle
Okay. What country created a government issued sex manual in the 1500? Government issued sex manual in the 1500s.
Adam
I need to know which government existed in the 1500s then? Jesus.
Danielle
Government. I mean, which created by the government.
Adam
What government was considering female sexuality in the 1500s? It's got to be. Is it. Is it Japan?
Danielle
Oh, you're very close. Very close.
Adam
Can I. I mean, you can guess again.
Danielle
You won't get it right, but.
Adam
Okay, so just give it to me. I'm close enough.
Danielle
China.
Adam
Really?
Danielle
Yep. China? Yep.
Adam
That's surprising.
Danielle
I feel like I don't. I have a feeling that it probably, like, wasn't for any type of good reason.
Adam
Yeah. But I feel like they won't even do that today. Well, you know, like.
Danielle
Well, maybe there was like a shortage of babies being born back then. I don't know. Or maybe they did. Maybe they didn't want people having more babies. Like, maybe they were overpopulated and so they were showing them how not to have babies.
Adam
You're giving them too much credit. All I know is I'm winning. I'm gonna go crazy here with Access denied for 500. 500 macaroonies.
Danielle
Wow, you're getting. You're getting a little arrogant.
Adam
Well, listen, I'm winning by far, so I gotta take a chance.
Danielle
Yeah. Because every single one, you're like, I won that one. What percentage of abortions happen in the first trimester?
Adam
What's my range?
Danielle
What do I get the trimester?
Adam
I can't give you like the exact percent. So, like, do I get like a 10 number leeway or 5.5percent leeway? You and your.
Danielle
Because this is a lot of misinformation that we're clearing up.
Adam
I mean, my guess would be like 85%.
Danielle
Is that your final answer? Yeah, it's over 90%. Over 90. So I'm giving it to me. You know, all these people talk about, like, the third trimester.
Adam
It's like, God forbid, like, that that's the reason for a third trimester abortion.
Danielle
What?
Adam
God forbid. Like, it's not an emotion. You know?
Danielle
It's not. But there's a lot of misinformation about that.
Adam
I just earned myself 500.
Danielle
No, I don't think that counts.
Adam
You said over 90. Because I said 85.
Danielle
I know. The answer actually is over 90%.
Adam
I. I said over 85.
Danielle
I mean, okay, but then you're never gonna get anything wrong.
Adam
Alrighty, give me what the history 100.
Danielle
Who was lobotomized for being too rebellious as a teen? She's from a famous family.
Adam
Can you give me a time period?
Danielle
I am going to say. Actually, I think I might have that. I'm going to give you the 30s to 50s. 1930s to 50s. She was lobotomized.
Adam
Marilyn Monroe.
Danielle
Are you for real?
Adam
What the.
Danielle
Who do I know From a famous family?
Adam
No, she's famous all by herself. Who. Who. What's a famous family from the 30s and like, is it a Rockefeller?
Danielle
Oh, see, that would have been a better guess. Now that makes sense, right? There are lots of famous families.
Adam
It was Ford, Henry Ford, the Kennedys. They were around in the 30s and 40s.
Danielle
Around she. So Rosemary Kennedy was president in the 60s. Was the SIS. You know, and you know that. So this is J.F. i'm sorry, RFK Jr. Who's our now health and human Services. It is.
Adam
I have not consumed any red dye.
Danielle
Aunt. His aunt. Who was lobotomized. All right. Even though he's the one who has the worm in his brain. So she was the sister of President Robert F. Kennedy. And she was described as being developmentally delayed. In her early 20s, her behavior became more erratic and difficult to manage, prompting her father, Joseph Kennedy, to authorize a lobotomy in 1941 without informing his wife or other children. The procedure left Rosemary unable to speak intelligibly or walk properly. For the rest of her life. She was institutionalized and hidden from public view. Her case is often cited as a tragic example of how women, especially those deemed, quote, unquote difficult, were subject to extreme medical interventions to maintain family reputations or social control. 1941, she had that done.
Adam
Race the rudders.
Danielle
Race the sails.
Adam
Race the sails. Captain, an unidentified ship is approaching. Over. Roger, wait. Is that an enterprise sales sales solution. Reach sales professionals, not professional sailors. Danielle
Yes.
Adam
And she has that vocal issue, too, right?
Danielle
Well, a little bit. Not nearly as much as him.
Adam
Right, but. So is that a genetic thing?
Danielle
Like maybe. What is that maybe I don't know. Might be. Might be genetic. But she hates him.
Adam
Yeah, but it's just so bizarre that they share that.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
Huh.
Danielle
Yeah, it is interesting. Here he has RFK Jr's voices caused by spasmodic DPH. Spasmodic dysphonia is a rare neurological disorder that causes a strained voice. RFK Jr says he's had the disorder for decades and treats it with Botox injections, a common treatment.
Adam
Give me say what for 400. I'm. I'm keeping score.
Danielle
I know you are.
Adam
As we're going tonight, I'm.
Danielle
Yeah, I know. You've cheated on every single one in all 50 states. What was the year. I'll give you a five year. Whatever. When women could finally sit on juries. You can give me a decade in all 50 states. Women could sit on juries in the 70s. Yeah. Holy. How'd you get that?
Adam
I knew that. I researched this before.
Danielle
How'd you get that? Isn't that crazy?
Adam
It makes sense to me.
Danielle
Like the 1970s. You. You know what the requirement is to sit on a jury? You have to be an American citizen, and women couldn't do it until the 1970s.
Adam
Fictional femme fatales.
Danielle
500 fictional femme fatales for 500.
Adam
Make sure they're fictional this time, please.
Danielle
She told you to, quote, unquote, make good choices, handed out condoms like mints and accidentally hosted an underage rager.
Adam
Wait, okay. So is this a movie? She handed out condoms? Yes. Oh, man. It's like the equivalent. Equivalent of the tip of my tongue. I gotta pause it. I. Read it to me one more time.
Danielle
She told you to, quote, unquote, make good choices, handed out condoms like mints and accidentally hosted an underage rager.
Adam
Oh, God. You. You. Wait. Do you want the person or the movie?
Danielle
I mean, at this point, no, it's not going to be correct, but I'll take whatever you want. I'm sick of giving you. You've had, like, 75 lifelines.
Adam
That's not true at all. I've done well. I know this and I can't bring it up. Is it an 80s movie?
Danielle
No.
Adam
Oh, then I don't. Give it to me.
Danielle
10 things I hate about you, Ms. Pesky, played by Alison Janney.
Adam
Yes. I love that movie.
Danielle
So do our kids.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Yep.
Adam
Damn. I'll take the loss.
Danielle
Yeah, you will.
Adam
What was that?
Danielle
100 got it wrong.
Adam
500.
Danielle
400.
Adam
200.
Danielle
I think you said 400.
Adam
Damn. All right, we'll do a couple more.
Danielle
Sure.
Adam
Your body's been lying to you for 300.
Danielle
Your body's been lying to you for 300.
Adam
Is this one about the male body?
Danielle
What do you think is. We've done plenty of research about the male body. 300. Okay. True or false? Row. The decision of Roe allowed for abortion for all nine months without restrictions.
Adam
I would say false.
Danielle
That is correct.
Adam
Yeah, that makes sense. Give it to me again.
Danielle
Same. What? The same category.
Adam
Yeah. What did I just say what the amount was? Give me 400.
Danielle
Okay. What was the Supreme Court ruling margin in roe v. Wade?
Adam
40.
Danielle
No. Yeah. No, there's nine justices. What was the ruling? What was the count?
Adam
Oh, I would say five to four.
Danielle
Nope. Seven to two.
Adam
Damn. Really?
Danielle
It's interesting, too, because, like, have you seen what's going on with Amy Coney Barrett now? You know, she's conservative justice, and all the mega now hate her because she's like.
Adam
Oh, wait, wait, no, no, no. Explain to me, why did the MAGA now hate her?
Danielle
Well, because she has ruled against Trump in a few things, and they're expecting her to rule for Trump and every single thing.
Adam
I didn't know that. I thought she would rule for Trump for every.
Danielle
So do we all. Yeah, but. But first of all, when he gave his State of the Union, he, like, didn't acknowledge her when he walked by. And. And she. I mean, look, she was part of the. Look, she voted to overturn.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
Roe v. Wade. So she's obviously. I'm not trying to say that she's claimed she's any kind of, you know, advocate for women or anything.
Adam
Yeah. But that wasn't a thing for Trump. That was because he put in a religious, believing woman into the Supreme Court. Who. Right.
Danielle
Well, yeah, but I mean, constitutionally, anyway. I'm not going to get into it, but, you know. Yeah, it should have been upheld, but she overturned it. Roe v. Wade. But now she voted against him in a few, you know, big. Yeah. And so he's pissed because obviously he thinks that every justice he put in. And, you know, Kavanaugh, what's one thing she voted against?
Adam
Let me look, is it too little, too late or, like, good for her or how we feeling?
Danielle
I mean, both. Right. Like, I. Listen, I. I obviously think it's disgusting that, you know, I'll never forgive her for being part of overturning Roe v. Wade. But she also is the only conservative justice who is, you know, actually following, you know, the Constitution to a T in certain things.
Adam
So it's hard. You have to, like, give respect for that. But on the other hand.
Danielle
Yeah, look, Difficult situation. Yes. I mean, you know, and it's like.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
And she's getting a lot of blowback for it. You know, she's dealing with a lot from it. Not that, like, okay, so, you know, she. When you're appointed by Trump, you gotta expect that shit's gonna come with it. So she voted against him using the Alien enemies Act of 1798, which is what he's using for using, you know, for deporting to El Salvador. So she. She voted against it because the Alien Enemies act is only supposed to be used in wartime. And they're claiming that, like, it's an invasion of illegal immigrants. And so that's the wartime. And she's saying, like, no, that's not what you're. You cannot use it for that. So she voted, you know, against him for that, which is huge, because, you know, that's. I mean, I'm glad that she did. Although he's not upholding it anyway. You know, he. She. It was 9 to 0 to bring what's his name, Brego Garcia, back to. To the United States to facilitate it, which is, you know, stupid language, but still 9, 0. And he's not back. So, you know, it's not even like any of the court rulings right now even matter, but hopefully something will happen, right?
Adam
Like, it doesn't matter what the law is at this point or what the Constitution says at this point. Right.
Danielle
Like, that's why they say we're in a constitutional crisis.
Adam
All right, let's do a couple more. Okay, I forgot what this category is, but let's try it again. Ro mates and realities for 300.
Danielle
Ro mates and realities for. That's what I think. That's what we just did also.
Adam
Oh, is it?
Danielle
I think so.
Adam
Oh, then I didn't circle it. Okay, let's go back to Women who kill it for 400.
Danielle
Okay. Women who kill it for 400.
Adam
So you never even spoke about, like, A League of Their Own or, you know, listen, those are Women who Kill.
Danielle
It right there, what you were doing. Like, you. When I am putting this stuff together, there's so much pressure because you're like, let's go, let's go, let's go. Like, right? You. You make me. I'm, like, sweating by the time I'm done because not only do I have to do all the work, but. But you're giving me some kind of, like, ridiculous time frame.
Adam
If I watch you, like, you know, you're half doing that, half on Instagram, half on.
Danielle
You know, it's okay. It's fine.
Adam
But that's the pressure. So if it's okay.
Danielle
Mother's Day, okay. I'm allowed to have some joy. Which famous woman ran a drug cartel in Miami in the 1970s?
Adam
Oh, I saw that movie.
Danielle
I know you did.
Adam
I don't know her name. I was a wonderful. Or was it a movie? Or was it a. Yeah, I don't know her name.
Danielle
Her name was Griselda Blanco.
Adam
Great, great series.
Danielle
Yeah, I really liked it. A lot of people didn't, but I think. I don't know. I don't know. But I thought that. What's her name? Who did it? What's her name from Modern Family. Why can't I remember her name?
Adam
Oh, right.
Danielle
Oh, come on. Who knew who played her, you know? Yeah. Sovia Vergara.
Adam
Yes.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, she did awesome. I thought. Yeah.
Adam
People thought otherwise.
Danielle
Yeah. I think there were a lot of people who didn't think that she did a good job.
Adam
Oh, my God. Yeah, she did great.
Danielle
Yeah. But, yeah, so she. She was the godmother of cocaine and called Black Widow. Yeah. And she. By the time it's done, you know, you hate her. So. Yeah. And then she was. Well, I won't say it. In case people haven't seen. I won't give any spoilers.
Adam
All right. One more famous and fictional character. No. Famous and fictional firsts. 500 famous and fictional firsts.
Danielle
Who was the first US female Secretary of state?
Adam
No clue. Hillary Clinton.
Danielle
No, but that was a. I thought that's what you were gonna say. And I am 4% impressed.
Adam
Give me more than.
Danielle
Come on. Really? She's very famous.
Adam
Nancy Pelosi.
Danielle
Oh, for.
Adam
Sam. I. I don't know any secret Secretary of state anything.
Danielle
Madeline Albright.
Adam
I know the name. Don't know who it. I thought that was like a poet from 1843. Yeah. Yeah. Really? I know, I know. Look, I don't know politicians. The only politicians I know is either the president or in the last eight years. Because it's so.
Danielle
I mean, I know I do miss the time when I didn't know who. Any of the secretaries of any. Who was in anybody's cabinet or, like, about, like.
Adam
I. I just, you know.
Danielle
Do you know how many people from Fox News, officially Trump has hired to be in his cabinet?
Adam
Yes. 4.
Danielle
Is that really your answer?
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
23.
Adam
Oh, 20.
Danielle
Close 3. Yeah.
Adam
Yes. You have to. When you say Fox News, you have to air, quote, news.
Danielle
Right. Because obviously. Yeah, but, yeah, she. She was a Democrat. In 1992, her political stardom began to Rise and Clinton named her ambassador of the United Nations. At the UN she gained a reputation for tough mindedness and fear and fierce advocate for u. S. Interests. And she promoted an increased role for the United States in UN Operations, particularly those with a military component. Her nomination in the position of Secretary State was unanimously confirmed by the Senate in 1997. I wonder when that last time that that happened was. Yeah.
Adam
I want to say I thank you for learning me more about women's lib.
Danielle
Wait, I have a few bonus questions. Oh, can I. I was just gonna.
Adam
Say, like, on this. Today, this mother's Day, I appreciate learning more about the struggle of women and you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Danielle
Wait, I have a few. Can I just give you a few bonus questions?
Adam
No, because I already won.
Danielle
No, you didn't win. I mean, it's all such bullshit, but. All right. What activity in the 1800s. Okay. Were women discouraged from doing because it would believe it was believed it would harm their fertility. But common activity were women discouraged from doing because it was believed it would harm their.
Adam
Horseback riding.
Danielle
Oh, that's a good one.
Adam
Yeah.
Danielle
But no.
Adam
Is it a sport of some.
Danielle
Very similar.
Adam
A sport of some kind. Sort of chicken plucking.
Danielle
I guess it's a sport. Riding a bike.
Adam
Oh, okay, I win. Next.
Danielle
Which actress has won the most Oscars for acting in Academy Awards history?
Adam
Nicole Kidman.
Danielle
No.
Adam
Marilyn Monroe.
Danielle
You're like my dad. Like any song that would come on. When I was in the car growing up, it was either Madonna or Michael Jackson. Those were the only two people he knew. It could be like Guns n Roses and he'd be like, is this Michael Jackson? Katherine Hepburn.
Adam
Okay. Yeah.
Danielle
Did you see on Golden Pond?
Adam
Nope.
Danielle
My God, it's like I don't even know you. Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. One more. Hold on, hold on.
Adam
One more. Let's go.
Danielle
Who was Jane Roe instead of Jane Doe in the case? Do you know her real name?
Adam
Nope.
Danielle
So Jane Roe was a pseudonym for Norma McCorvey. Norma McCorvey was a working class unmarried woman in Texas who became pregnant in 1969. Oh, the same isn't the same year that they landed on the or they walked on the moon.
Adam
Not because it's easy, but because it's hard.
Danielle
See, of course, you know that she didn't want to continue the pregnancy, but couldn't afford to travel or access a safe abortion. Two young lawyers, Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffey, took her case all the way to the Supreme Court, even though Norma never actually got an abortion. By the time the case was decided in 1973, she had already given birth and placed the baby up for adoption. Wow. The court ruled 7 to 2 in favor of Roe, saying that due process clause of the 14th Amendment protects a woman's right to privacy, including her decision to end a pregnancy. And so the trimester framework was, the first trimester, a government could not interfere. Second trimester, government could regulate to protect health. Third trimester, state could restrict, except if the woman's life was at risk. So, like, everyone talks about it as if it was like a free for all right with Roe v. Wade that you could get one until the day you were. You know, I mean, the most ridiculous thing that. I've had way too many arguments about women having abortions, you know, in their ninth month, but that wasn't even allowed under Roe v. Wade, so.
Adam
Okay, well, that's when due process meant something, for fuck's sake.
Danielle
Tell me about it. Okay.
Adam
That was. That was so fun.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
And I won. So you.
Danielle
So you know what? You. You won because I turned it into the. Like, literally. I had to manipulate. I had to dumb down all the answers.
Adam
Win is a win.
Danielle
No, I'll take it.
Adam
No, I got the. I got the scoreboard right here, which means I'm gonna start designing your tattoo.
Danielle
Unless it's probably gonna be Snoopy. That's the only thing you know how to draw. I'm not getting a Snoopy tattoo, by the way. All right.
Adam
Oh, that's a good idea.
Danielle
Oh. I want to say right now, for the next couple days, if you go to the link in the show notes or in our bio on Instagram, I'm giving a free week in the 3am uprising. What? We have around 45 members right now. Everyone is fantastic. We're having a blast. Coming up, we have drag bingo. We're gonna be doing virtual drag bingo. We have our first book clubs coming up, and the book we're reading is fantastic, and it's gonna be an awesome discussion. We're doing documentary clubs. We have. We're talking to an author who wrote a book called Kissing Girls on Shabbat in June, and we had a black genealogist on who. Oh, Walter, who was on the podcast who's so fantastic, and he taught us all, like, what we never learned about slavery and post slavery, and it was amazing. So. And every day we're on the platform having discussions, and we're just. We're having an awesome time, and it's giving me. It's getting me through this period. So if you want to be in a place with all like minded women who know that Roe v. Wade happened in 1973. Then I was very close. Adam is not allowed to be there, which he's devastated about.
Adam
I am Nowhere near the 3am uprising. And you're all welcome.
Danielle
Yes, that is correct.
Adam
Although.
Danielle
Yeah.
Adam
If you want to make a bet, if you get to your thousandth member, I will show up for your drag get together.
Danielle
I don't even want to get to a thousandth member. I like knowing everybody. Like we've all we've had every week, we've had our event sessions every week and like it's like eight to 10 people. Even though that there's, you know, 40 plus. Because like I have. There's a lot of events. You come to what you can come to, you don't to what you don't.
Adam
I was offering something that now I'm.
Danielle
Gonna take back and well, I don't want a thousand members. I'm not.
Adam
And I don't want to dress in drag.
Danielle
Don't say never. But anyway, it's, it's. The platform is big enough where everyone has, you know, all this relevant stuff to take part in, but also intimate enough that like we're all.
Adam
I love it.
Danielle
Teaching each other and it's been. I, I love it. I absolutely love it. Like I'm up until 2am doing work for it because I want to like, I love it. So. Yeah. So come join us and the. I'll put the link in the show notes.
Adam
Awesome.
Danielle
All right.
Adam
That was so fun.
Danielle
Oh, good. I'm so.
Adam
Thank you for bringing back the fun.
Danielle
I'll. I'm gonna start designing your tattoo.
Adam
No, no, no, no, no.
Danielle
All right, guys, have a great week.
Adam
And happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Thank you so much.
Danielle
Happy Mother's Day and happy Nurturing day. Even if you not a mom, you're still a nurturer. So.
Adam
Okay.
