What is up, guys? Welcome to episode 438 of the Massive Agent podcast. I am your host, Dustin Brome in Salt Lake City, Utah. You know, I was thinking this morning, like, should I switch up the intro? Like, I am your host, Dustin Brome. It sounds kind of weird, but I've been doing it 438 times in a row, and it's just kind of like autopilot. I could probably do it in my sleep at this point. So it. It. Even though it sounds weird that I am your host, obviously I'm your host, and I just realized I need to put my shit on. Do not disturb. My bad. Okay, today I'm going to show you why your content flops. Why you're working so hard doing content on social, and it's not getting you business and. Or it doesn't get any views. Nobody sees it, nobody responds to it, nobody's engaging with it. It's because of these five reasons. It's now, or if you. If you suffer from just one of the five, it could be like, it's really hurting you. Some of you. Some of you have all five issues. But being aware of these is key, all right? Because there's nuance to this. So, okay, hell, let's just. Let's just jump into it, okay? The top five reasons why your content flops. The top five reasons why your content doesn't attract clients is. Number one, the beginning sucks. It starts out boring. Now, that's not just what you say, but what people see. So if you are doing a video with a white wall behind you, because you're sitting in your office and you're like, ooh, I gotta do a video. And you're just happy to check the box that you did one. Good, I'm glad that you did one, because that's another at bat. That's another swing. That's another practice rep. So that's a good thing. But you can't expect that that video is gonna crush it when it bores people visually when it pops into their feed. Think about what grabs your attention when it comes into your feed. Brightly colored stuff, like contrast. Interesting things in the background. Noticeable, recognizable things in the background. So even if you're like, okay, oh, I need to do a video, and I'm. And I work from home like I do, get out of your office, go sit on the front porch, go sit in your car, walk across the street and go to a park, like, get a green tree behind you or something so that the background is a little bit more visually appealing and doesn't pour people to. And then you also have to start it off strong with a hook. We've covered this concept many times. I don't. I don't know what I was going to say there. We. We've. We've talked about hooks over and over and over because the beginning of the content is the most important part for sure. And this is what? If you haven't taken my free masterclass, shame on you. Clients from Social.com, go take the free masterclass if you have. I also have a course that I created called Clients from Social. You can grab that. It breaks down exactly how to do a hook. What it shows you examples of hooks, hooks that you can copy and paste, hooks that you can use to, to talk about any topic you want. And it shows you how that process works, that for most of you, myself included, when I have content that doesn't perform well, it's because the beginning sucks, it's not interesting, or you take too long to get to the point, or you introduce yourself, which is the kiss of death for content. Or you. It's just visually not awesome. Like, visually, it has to be packaged up in a way that it grabs attention. That takes practice. It takes repetition. You. You gotta work on that. Sometimes you get lucky. But the beginning of your content is everything. You have to obsess over it. And I have a framework that I built for it in the Clients from Clients from Social course and in the free masterclass that will walk you through how to do that so that you become an expert. Like, why not just take that framework so that by tonight you can be an expert instead of, you know, putzing along for the next year trying to figure it out. Okay, number two, low energy. If your content is low energy, if you're monotone, if you're not passionate, if you don't have some energy, it's hard for people to Watch. If you're just talking and you're just kind of like, if, if you're not really feeling it, they're not feeling it either. If you're not excited, why would they watch? One of the reasons why I think my content overall performs well. Like, I absolutely hit some duds. Like there, there's I, I breakouts a lot. I also hit some grand slams from time to time, I think because I figured out how to get my passion and my energy behind it and that that takes a little bit of work sometimes. But here's the trick, because some of you I know, you just don't have a super high energy voice. That's not your personality. I get it. What matters is that you actually give a shit and are passionate about what you're talking about. If you're talking about something that you find kind of boring, that doesn't interest you that much, that doesn't get you excited to talk about. It comes through. People can tell. So the subject matter and what you talk about and how you talk about it is so important to pull the energy and the passion out of it. That's what matters. It doesn't mean that you would need to be high volume. It doesn't need to be that. It doesn't mean that you have to like talk with your hands like a crazy person like you're seeing. If you're watching on YouTube. That's not necessarily what high energy means, just passionate that you actually care. Because that comes through. That comes through and people will watch that. So if you're not excited, why would they watch? Some of you need to up your energy and up your passion a little bit or just pick topics that you care more about. Number three, it's just not interesting. Or you made something for you and not for them. I see this all the time. You, you're posting stuff that you want people to see, but they don't really care about it. Now this starts with the basics. You have to know who the hell you're posting for to begin with. Who's your ideal audience? What do they want? What do they need? What will they watch? What do they need to see? What will grab their attention? What lessons do you need to teach them? What, like, what misunderstandings do they have? What, what pain points do they have and how can you help them solve those pain points? You've got to know who you're posting for. I work with so many agents that just skip this part because it's not sexy. You're like, oh, just tell me what to post. So I can get a viral hit. I promise you, a viral hit's not going to do shit for you. Except for some quick dopamine. Seriously, like maybe you get a few more followers, but then it's gonna be right back to the stuff that is kind of aimless when you don't really know who you're talking to specifically. So dial that in. Who are you speaking to specifically when you create content and then create for them, when you do that, it becomes interesting for the people that you. That it's meant for, right? So if reason number three, that your content flops, it's not interesting because you made it for you and not for them. Number four, it's visually boring. This goes back to how it starts out, right? But if you're sitting behind, sitting in front of a white or a gray wall and it's just this boring thing, people tune that out, they go on social, they're not looking for some amateur hour talking head. Just, you know, if it's visually boring, they assume the whole thing's boring. So they don't watch it and then the algorithm doesn't show it to anybody else because it's visually boring. You need to visually hook people, too. It's. It's so important. So like I said earlier, even if that's going to sit in your car and then parking your car to where out the window is like a green tree or a green bush or like the blue sky or the mountains or the beach or something, where the, where the background of the video is visually appealing and attention grabbing. If it's visually boring or if it's too busy, if it's too busy, if it's too much and there's just too many words on the screen, that's also. If it's overload, that also is going to lead to people not watching because, like, it's just too much. So you could, you could. There's two extremes here. Make sure it's not visually boring or too much. And the fifth reason, Reason number five, that your content is flopping. Number five, it's too slow. You don't get to the point quick enough. Maybe you just keep rehashing the same shit over and over and over. But get to the point. If there's a thing you want to say or a lesson you want to teach, give it as quickly and concisely as possible. Now, now, that's for social media. If it's for YouTube, people are on YouTube because they want context, they want longer, they want details. So know where you're creating it. For a YouTube video, you can dive into the details and go deep on social. People want quick hit. So if it's too slow, if you're like, hey, here's five reasons and it takes you 90 seconds or even 45 seconds to finish, reason number one, they're like, okay, I don't have time to reach to for all five of these. I don't have time, I'm on to the next one because you bored them or you made them bored, you know what I mean? So if it's too slow, if you're speaking for 30 seconds before actually delivering anything valuable, that is a problem. If you are introducing yourself, smack yourself and stop it. Introducing yourself is the kiss of death. Little hint, little inside information here that might be interesting to you, might be interesting for you to know. On social media they can actually see who you are, right? So you don't actually have to introduce yourself because they can fricking see in the upper left who you are. Now, if they already know you, why are you introducing yourself? If they already know who you are, you don't have to introduce yourself. And if they don't know who you are, they don't give a shit who you are. Yet if your video popped into some stranger's feed, that's a good thing. But if you introduce yourself, they're like, what do I care, Dustin? With real like, whatever. They just want to be entertained. They want something interesting, they want to learn something. That's why they're on social. So if you introduce yourself to start the video, you are killing the video. Just chop that shit off. If you're wondering how to get to the point faster, just start saying the thing. And this is something that you can use AI for, you can use Claude for. If you have some notes, you're like, here's what I want to talk about. Make this more concise, Put this into a few talking points, turn this into bullet points for a 30 second video, right? Say, make this concise enough for a 30 second video and then it can take all your thoughts and distill them into quick hits. So if you need help with that, if you need to practice that, you can use AI in that way with those prompts to be more concise on social. People want concise on YouTube, they want context and details. You have to know where you're posting it for. So those are the top five reasons your content flops and the top five reasons why you're not getting any business. You need people to watch your stuff, to learn from it, to engage with it to want more of it before they actually turn into clients. If you want to take my free masterclass, go to clientsfromsocial. Com. There's information there if you want to grab the course as well. It's very affordable. Obscenely affordable, actually. Yeah. In that course, I lay it all out step by step, exactly how to get clients from social so that you can start today, and tomorrow you can be getting clients from social, knowing exactly what to do with your content. Thank you so much, guys. I'll see you next week for another episode of the Massive Agent podcast. Take care.
