If you're spending the time doing social media content, but you're not getting any business from it, it's because of one of two reasons. I'm going to break those two reasons down right now and show you how to fix them. Let's go. Welcome to episode 440 of the Massive Agent Podcast. I am your host, Dustin Brome here in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've got one hell of a show for you today. Super tactical, to the point, and I have something for you that a few of you are really going to like. Okay, that's going to just pour gas on the fire that you. That you already have going. It's going to take your social media content, your social media efforts, and put them on steroids. So I can only do this for a few people, but I'll explain here in a second, but today we're talking about the two main reasons why you're not getting. Why you're not getting business from Instagram, from social media. The two main reasons, Number one, your content isn't good or your content doesn't connect or the messaging is off. Right. Or it's not grabbing attention, so it's content related. Right. That's number one. But number two is you're not getting people off the sidelines. You're not getting viewers to raise their hand and jump off the fence into a conversation. And I'm going to break down how to fix both of those here in just a sec. But I'm doing something super special. Okay. Before we get started, this is for anyone who wants to have me personally be your Instagram strategist, so to speak. Okay. And personally hold your hand to create a system, to create a content system that attracts real clients. A lot of agents, I'd say most agents. Instagram is like a hobby. You spend a bunch of time doing it and hopefully you enjoy it. Right. But it's still like you're not getting anything from it. It's more of a hobby that you're not getting business from. Well, it doesn't have to be that way. You. You could be getting five or ten deals a month every single month, if you're following the right content system. And so I am helping a select group of agents build that system personally. I'm not outsourcing it to somebody. It's not my assistant, it's me personally helping you build that, that, that system. Right now you're trying to diagnose why you're not getting any business, but you're inside the bottle. Like, you can't see it. You need someone on the outside to look at your situation, audit it, say, oh, this is wrong, fix this, reword this, do it this way instead. And then you start getting the results. You can't read the label from inside the bottle. So twice a week for 45 days, you're gonna, if you're in this group, you're gonna be bringing your content ideas, your posts, your reels, your, your video ideas. And I will help you audit them and improve them before you post it. How, how often do you post something? You're like, oh, crap, I thought that was gonna do a lot better. And it doesn't. So jump on that massiveagentsociety.com blitz. All right, let's diagnose why you're not getting business from social, shall we? The first thing I mentioned, your content doesn't connect. So either the, the hook is weak, meaning the beginning, it starts off slow, or it's visually boring. You have to pay attention to both. It's not just what you say, it's what people see. So if you're in your office, like even my background here, if you're watching the YouTube video, is not awesome. It's not perfect. Go outside and stand in your yard with a tree behind you. Like just that gives some, some green, give some color. Go sit in your car. Your car is better than your office with a white wall behind you. Go stand in a, in a park. Go stand somewhere where what's behind you is somewhat visually, it's colorful, it's vibrant, it grabs attention. And then you have to say something that grabs their attention. So for the love of everything good and holy, do not introduce yourself. If you are an introducer, stop it. You need to stop introducing yourself because you're, you're wasting, you're killing your video and you're wasting the most valuable real estate in the video. The beginning. If you're wasting the first one to three seconds introducing yourself, people are just scrolling. They don't care if they know you. You don't need to introduce yourself. And if they don't know you, they don't care who you are yet. They just care about what that video is about. Is it going to be interesting? Is it going to be entertaining? Is it going to be educational? They need something before they care who you are. And it's not Personal, it's just like, why are you introducing yourself? So cut that part off. Just don't do that. If you, if you can't help but record your yourself introducing, then just edit it off and just start saying the thing now. Hooks you gotta get good at. In my bio on Instagram, go to Massive Agent on Instagram. I have a list of a hundred plus hooks you can download. It's totally free and use those to. You use the hooks to grab someone's attention and make them curious so that they watch your video about a certain topic. An example, I love this example. You can rip this idea off. It works super, super well. If you were trying to teach buyers about, you know, hey, you don't need, you don't need 20% down. Like there's a three and a half percent down option. FHA loan. What you don't say, okay, here's what you don't do. You don't go, hey guys, it's Dustin Brome with real. And today I'm going to tell you about FHA loans. Did you know that with an FHA loan you could do three and a half percent? No, you've lost them already with the introduction. If you, if you, you know, didn't do the introduction, then you still bored them to tears because you told them what it's about. You said, hey, this video is about FHA loans. Well, what happens if they don't give a crap about FHA loans? What if they are not on Instagram at that moment to learn about or hear about FHA loans? Okay, 99.9% of people are not. So if you just tell them the topic, they're gone. Instead, here's the way. Now you can still do a video teaching people about FHA loans. Have, you know, three and a half percent down. You should do that content. But you have to get their attention in a different way. What I suggest is here's how you can buy a million dollar house for 35 grand. I'm gonna let that sit for a second. This is how you buy a million dollar house for 35 grand. And when you phrase it like that, I don't care why they're on Instagram, I don't care if they're sitting there at the end of the day just doom scrolling. That's gonna grab their attention. They're like, how in the hell this guy, this crazy guy with the gray facial hair and the backwards hat just said I could buy a million dollar property for 35 grand. Now you've got their attention. Now they're curious. So they keep watching you. You have to grab their attention in the beginning of the content and then teach them something, deliver something. If it's an educational piece, right? There's, there's short skits, there's funny things, there's memes, there's all these different types of content, but it has to be interesting. So somewhere along the line, if you're not getting business from social, it's because your content's not connecting. There's something you have to do differently in the beginning that gets them to keep watching throughout. That creates a curiosity gap where they're like, okay, let's, I'm gonna keep watching to see where this goes because that interests me a little bit. That's, there's a formula to that and that's, that's what I'm gonna be teaching you in the Instagram listing blitz is what that program's called. Teaching you how to start your videos the right way, how to, how to create great slides. You know the, the first one or two slides, if you're doing carousel posts, those have to grab attention visually and with what it says. So there's a science to it, there's a formula to it and it's not difficult. You just need to learn it. The second part of this, let me go back my notes here. The second part, if your messaging is off, you need to make sure that you know who you're speaking to. Who's your ideal audience? If you don't know your ideal audience, that is a big problem. If you've been through my clients from social mini course, you, you've used the, the client or the ideal audience worksheet to figure out exactly who you're speaking to every time you post. Now it's okay if it's one or two or three different groups of people all within one big one. Like if it's buyers in Scottsdale, there could be veterans, there could be move up buyers, there could be luxury, right? And each one there's gonna be separate content. But at least you know every time you post exactly who that post is for. On a post by post basis, who are you speaking to? What makes when you know that by the way. And guys, I don't know why so many of you skip this. Actually, I do know because it's not sexy. You're like, just tell Me the words. Just tell me the words and I'll have this magical post go viral. It's not about that. There are certain words that certainly will increase the likelihood of a post doing well and will improve its performance. But, well, there's another part to it. How's your energy in your delivery? Can people feel your passion and energy or are you bored to tears with the topic? If you're bored to tears with what you're talking about, so are they're gonna be too, right? I think I know that some of you listen to this podcast because I get animated sometimes, right? I, I, I get a little over the top, but that's what makes it interesting. Think of the people you follow on social. Why? Why do you follow them? It's because they're interesting to you. And I bet you none of them are monotone. None of them seem bored. None. None of them deliver the information like this. They're delivering the information like this. And that's what grabs your attention. Like you feel that, that energy and that passion and that that comes through. So whatever you're talking about, you have to be genuinely interested and excited about or get yourself interested and excited about it. And it really helps when you know exactly who you're, who you're posting for. Because if you're, I know so many of you on a regular basis are like, what do I post today? I don't even know what to do. That's because you don't have a North Star yet. You don't have that one. Here's my audience, here's exactly the person that I'm posting for. Because if you know exactly who your audience is, exactly who you want to see that post every time you go to post something you're creating for them, if you just do that, even if you do that kind of mediocre, you're going to have much, much better results and you will start getting some business from social. Now if you really learn great hooks and you have a dialed in strategy and all the, all the stuff and you can have your content audited before you post it and all of that, like we're doing in the Instagram listing blitz, like, you're almost guaranteed to be hitting home runs on a regular basis. But, well, okay, let me reword that. Because even when you think you're going to hit a home run, sometimes it flops. That's just the way it goes. So then you just do it again. Maybe you reword it, maybe you repost it two weeks later, maybe you just do something else. All of the above, so you can't expect home runs. But I think you can tell when you follow the formula, when you have the right strategy, when you know exactly who your audience is, when you know how to grab and keep attention when the video starts or when the post begins, you're going to be getting much better results, without a doubt, guaranteed. Just how fast can you get yourself to that, to that point? Right. That's the key. Now, number two, the number two reason that you're not getting business from social, because the first one was all about the content itself. Number two is maybe you're doing great content and you're getting views and you're getting engagement, but you're not getting clients. You have all these people sitting on the fence and you're not giving them a reason to jump off into a conversation. You need to use lead magnets. You need to offer something of value to them, a guide, a download, a video. Just something that they want. And there's an art to figuring out what they want and how to deliver it, right, how to word it, package it, of course. But the concept here is if you have, if you're getting great views but nobody's talking to you, give them, you have to give them something that gets them off the fence. You're going to give them something in exchange for their contact info, their email address, their phone number, whatever. Get them on your email list so that you can start delivering other videos to them. You can start conversations with those people. Like if you did A here's the 10 home buyer grants for, you know, in the state or in the county, Click here to find out if you qualify. You know, click here to find out if you're, if these funds are available for you. I mean that concept right there of free government money to buy a house gets a lot of people's attention and you can create a lot of leads right there with that lead magnet. But that's, that's the thing that a lot of you who are doing well with the content, you're doing good stuff, but it's not converting. It's because you're not grabbing people off the sidelines, you're not getting them off the fence. And lead magnets and manychat automation is the way to do that. And of course there's a process. Not going to go into it all right now, but, hmm, that's something I'm, that we're gonna teach you for sure. You're the one. If you have great content that is clearly targeted for a specific person, that will start to happen.
