Born in Singapore to a family of musicians and lovers of jazz and classical music, from a young age Maurice developed a curiosity for musical forms that stir the senses and tell a story. His time spent in London as a promoter for Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly Records kick-started his journey as a DJ more than 10 years ago. Over the years Maurice has quietly established himself in Singapore's underground music scene and around South-East Asia through his very own Re:fuge club nights in Singapore, festival appearances at Epizode (Vietnam), Wonderfruit and Karma Kastle (Thailand) and performances alongside some of the world's leading House & Techno names including Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Kristian Beyer (Âme), Roman Flügel, Ata, Marcus Worgull, The Drifter, Fort Romeau, Aera, Matthias Schöber, Love Over Entropy and &ME. Armed with a sound that marries deep and melodic house with tough and moody techno, Maurice is a believer that electronic music is an open platform, without limits on who or what it may connect to. His openness to perform DJ sets that embrace diversity across musical styles with house & techno as the connector, is what drives his constant devotion to the craft of DJing today and into the future.
