We are back with Part 10 of our Athena “Tina” Hogan series, continuing our deep dive into the 1986 murder of 11 year old Athena Hogan in Lawton, Oklahoma. As this series has unfolded, we have continued to examine Athena’s story, the people connected to her case, the original investigation, and the questions that remain unanswered decades later. In Part 10, we will continue putting the pieces together, revisiting information from earlier episodes, discussing new information we have uncovered, and looking at where this investigation may lead next. Athena was a child. She had a family, friends, a personality, and an entire future ahead of her. Nearly four decades later, her story deserves more than to simply exist as an old unsolved case. This livestream is part of our ongoing effort to keep Athena’s name and story alive while separating documented facts from rumors, memories, theories, and information that still needs to be verified. If you knew Athena, lived in Lawton during that time, remember anything surrounding her murder, or have information that could help us better understand what happened, we want to hear from you. Please remember that discussion of individuals connected to this case does not mean they were involved in Athena’s murder. We will clearly distinguish between documented information, personal recollections, allegations, and our own questions as we work through the case. Join us live for Athena “Tina” Hogan, Part 10 on Into the Weeds Podcast.

This week on The H-Train Show, H and Amber sit down with photographer Ozzie Gonzalez for a conversation about photography, caregiving, purpose, and giving back to the Veteran community.Ozzie shares his journey from growing up in Miami and spending decades working as a boat captain and sport-fishing professional to discovering a passion for photography. What began with taking photos on his phone eventually developed into stunning nature, wildlife, nighttime, moon, Milky Way, and star-trail photography. But behind the photographs is an even bigger story.Ozzie talks about stepping away from a fast-paced life to become a caregiver for his wife and how that experience taught him one of life's hardest lessons: patience. Photography became something they could experience together and eventually another way for Ozzie to serve others.Through his Look Up Program, Ozzie wants Veterans—including those with mobility challenges—to experience nighttime photography on his 54-acre Pennsylvania property. He discusses helping beginners learn photography without spending thousands of dollars on equipment and even offering Veterans opportunities to learn using his own equipment. The conversation also explores mentorship, finding your own photographic style, turning photographs into something tangible, and how creative outlets like photography can give Veterans another way to connect, learn, and find purpose. Ozzie also highlights the Swamp Apes program in Florida and its work getting Veterans outdoors.Elsewhere on the show, H and Amber discuss leadership, troop morale and the human cost behind sustained military operations; remember the announcement of Japan's surrender on August 14, 1945; honor Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician Shannon M. Kent during Tribute to the Troops; and debut the new “The Story Behind It” segment by digging into the history of the military MRE.Sometimes finding purpose doesn't mean following the path you originally planned. Sometimes it means discovering something you never knew you were good at—and using it to help somebody else.Giving Veterans a Voice.

I had the privilege of sitting down with Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe photographer Bill Brett and artist and poet Paul Doyle to talk about their incredible collaboration, Boston Veterans Appreciation. This book is more than a collection of photographs. It is a powerful tribute to the men and women from the Boston area who answered the call to serve our country across generations and conflicts—and an effort to ensure their stories are never forgotten.Bill reflected on his remarkable 60-year career in photography and how decades behind the camera taught him to capture more than an image—to capture the person and the story behind it. Paul shared how accompanying Bill, meeting veterans, and hearing their experiences firsthand gave him an even deeper appreciation for those who served. We talked about the veterans whose stories stayed with them, the process behind creating these portraits, and the incredible response Boston Veterans Appreciation has received from veterans and the community. The success of this project reinforces something I have believed throughout my years with Oscar Mike Radio: our veterans’ stories matter. We also looked ahead as Bill shared plans for a follow-up project honoring Gold Star families and preserving the stories of those who have experienced the ultimate sacrifice of losing a loved one in service to our country. There will come a time when the veterans of previous generations are no longer here to tell us what they saw, what they endured, and what their service meant. Projects like Boston Veterans Appreciation ensure their faces, voices, and legacies remain for generations to come.Thank you, Bill and Paul, for joining me on Oscar Mike Radio—and, more importantly, for using your talents to honor our veterans and preserve their stories.🇺🇸 Their service is history. Their stories are legacy. Our responsibility is to remember. We are Mission in Flight!#OscarMikeRadio #BostonVeteransAppreciation #BillBrett #PaulDoyle #Veterans #VeteranStories #HonorOurVeterans #MilitaryHistory #Boston #MissionInFlight

Episode SummaryOn this episode of Veterans Talk, Magic Mike returns after taking time away to honor his parents and shares an update on his own life before diving into a controversial issue affecting the veteran community.Mike breaks down his understanding of the Major Richard Star Act, the Take Care of Veterans Act, concurrent receipt of military retirement and VA disability compensation, and the debate surrounding proposed changes to tinnitus and sleep apnea disability ratings. At the center of the discussion is a difficult question: Are veterans being divided against one another over benefits?Mike argues that combat-disabled veterans who were medically retired before reaching 20 years deserve their earned retirement without having it offset by VA disability compensation. He also challenges the veteran community to have a serious conversation about the long-term growth of VA disability spending and whether the current system needs reform. This episode contains strong opinions—and Mike makes clear they are his own, not the official position of Military Broadcast Radio. His invitation is simple: disagree with him, challenge him, bring the facts, and have the conversation. When veterans are fighting veterans over benefits, who actually wins? Magic Mike tackles the Major Richard Star Act, VA disability compensation, tinnitus, sleep apnea, and one of the toughest debates facing the veteran community.Veterans Talk, Magic Mike, Major Richard Star Act, Richard Star Act, VA disability, VA disability compensation, military retirement, concurrent receipt, combat disabled veterans, medically retired veterans, VA benefits, veteran benefits, tinnitus VA claim, sleep apnea VA disability, Take Care of Veterans Act, veteran advocacy, Military Broadcast Radio, MBR Talk, veteran podcast, veteran radio#VeteransTalk #MajorRichardStarAct #RichardStarAct #VADisability #VABenefits #VeteransBenefits #CombatVeterans #DisabledVeterans #MilitaryRetirement #VeteranAdvocacy #Veterans #Military #MBRTalk #MilitaryBroadcastRadio #GivingVeteransAVoiceHookSEO KeywordsHashtags

📝 Episode DescriptionWhat happens when the person we became to survive begins battling the person God intended us to be?On this episode of The Farron Dozier Show, Farron and Arian dive into the “altered ego”—the identities, defenses, pride, anger, and survival mechanisms that can develop from childhood rejection, bullying, abandonment, trauma, and emotional wounds. They explore how those experiences can shape adulthood and how the Beatitudes, faith, accountability, forgiveness, vulnerability, and self-reflection can help people begin breaking those patterns. The conversation gets deeply personal as they discuss childhood experiences, relationships, anger, masculinity, self-defense, spiritual growth, forgiveness, and learning to distinguish between what actually happened and what we made those experiences mean about ourselves. The episode also touches on AI and creativity, including AI-generated music and the question of whether AI replaces artists or simply becomes another tool in the creative process. The show opens on a more somber note with Farron acknowledging the loss of Genesis and discussing grief within the sickle cell community before transitioning into the main conversation. At its heart, this episode asks one powerful question: Are you still fighting the person you created to survive—or are you ready to discover who you were meant to become? The Farron Dozier Show, Duel of the Dual, Altered Ego, ego and identity, childhood trauma, childhood wounds, emotional healing, Christian personal development, faith and healing, Beatitudes, spiritual growth, Christian masculinity, forgiveness, accountability, trauma recovery, survival mode, anger and pride, mental health, spiritual warfare, finding your identity, relationship with God, AI music, AI creativity, sickle cell trait awareness, grief and loss, Military Broadcast Radio, MBR Talk#FarronDozierShow #DuelOfTheDual #AlteredEgo #Faith #Healing #MentalHealth #ChildhoodTrauma #PersonalGrowth #SpiritualGrowth #Beatitudes #ChristianMen #Forgiveness #Accountability #Identity #SpiritualWarfare #SickleCellAwareness #MBRTalk #MilitaryBroadcastRadio #GivingVeteransAVoice🔍 SEO Keywords#️⃣ Hashtags
