I talk to so many med spa owners who think they can't run ads for Botox on Google. That's not true. Here's what you need to do. So if you've tried to run Google Ads for Botox before, you've run into a few things. So the first thing is you'll automatically get flagged for trademark, right? Botox is a trademark term. Allergan has put basically a regulation in place through Google that if somebody tries to run ads for that specific brand term, not allowed to do so unless you're authorized to do so. Second thing you'll see is there's an online pharmaceutical designation that's required, meaning the way that Google frames this, it makes it look like if you're not an actual online pharmacy selling the drug, that they don't want you running ads for these products. So many people throw their hands up in the air, they assume they're not able to run Google Ads for Botox, but that's actually not the case. Simple thing that you have to do is you have to work with Allergan to get your account approved for both the trademark term and and the online pharmaceutical designation. So your Allergan contacts and Allergan reps will push that through for you so that you can run ads unrestricted for Botox. Hey there MedSpa owners. Quick interruption on this video. If you are working with a company to manage your Google Ads and they weren't aware of this information can really help. Working with a provider that's expert in your niche. People that know your services, they know your business model and they understand how to generate maximum results and maximum profitability. If that's you and you're looking for better options, better marketing solutions for your med spa, you can schedule a free strategy call for with me. If you're doing over $50,000 a month revenue, we reserve these calls for establishment spas. We have so much free content for those of you who are younger and earlier on in your business. But if you're doing over $50,000 a month, there will be a scheduling link alongside this video. Look forward to talking to you soon. Now, when you log into your account after you get the approval, what we've noticed is you'll still see that the ads look like they're not approved, they're not running. But when you log in and look at the data, they are active, they are running. You might see like a limited, limited by policy or something alongside the ads as well. But once you get that approval through Allergan on the back end hard to see that that's actually working because you don't have anything that's tangible on the front end to reference. But once Allergan pushes that through for you, you're in the clear. You can run Google Ads for Botox so if Botox is a core service for your med spa, I would argue Facebook and Instagram ads is still your best application of your ad dollars. There's an opportunity cost to all of our ad dollars, so my priority 1A for most med spas, if you're offering Botox or similar services, we still want to promote those on Facebook and Instagram as our priority 1A. But your diversification step 1B should be Google Ads and our experience and data. So if you're having trouble with Google Ads for Botox, the first thing I would do is go through your rep and ask them to help push this through via Allergan marketing support. If you're running into issues, I'm going to put a link below in the description of this video and this podcast that'll allow you to push forward with Allergan approval. Right now we've got a link that we use for some of our clients. I'm going to put that in the link below attached to this video if that changes or we can point you in a better direction. I'm going to update the description as needed so you can follow the right path for getting those ads reviewed and approved. And you could be up and running with Botox ad ads on Google.

Once approved, your ads may still appear limited or inactive when you log in.
