Through the magic of technology (video and the internet!), I had the honor of catching up with one of my favorite drummer friends, Critter! He is a pro drummer in Nashville, and tells us all about the drummer life. We talk about how we met (shout out to Furnace Fest 2024! and Buc-ee's!), faith, straight edge, and so much more. Follow Critter on IG! https://www.instagram.com/critter_the_drummer/

Back in January, Zelda from The Drive Home and I had a fantastic time drinking Liquid Death and talking about the good ol' days in our local music scene. We shout-out SO MANY BANDS, you might want to make a list. In this episode, Zelda talks in depth about his band, The Drive Home, how they started, what they've been up to, their creative process, and what's coming up next!Check out The Drive Home! For the last 4 summers, I have had the honor to play drums at Crossings at Cedarmore for week 1 of student camp and 4 sessions of kids camp. At the end of Summer 2023, we decided we needed a band name, thus, Fill Wickhamm & the Step Downs was born! If you haven't read it yet, there's a bio at https://milandingmusic.com/fill-wickham-the-step-downs and you should read it. This episode is just a glimpse into our lives, our faith, and some real talk about life, struggles, and how Jesus has changed us. We love getting to lead worship at camp, we look forward to it all year! But like anything, there are challenges.I want any of my listeners who aren't religious or may even be opposed to church/God to know, there's an invite here for questions and conversation! We are NOT perfect people, but we do aim to live like Jesus who is the highest and most good thing imaginable! I love talking about faith stuff and I hope whatever you believe, you can find something in this episode to think about. Mi Landing is not exclusively a "christian band" and never will be. But as I said in the first episode, I want to be real about my life and my faith, and I said there was an episode about camp, so here it is! here's a link to our merch! https://milandingmusic.com/merch/fill-wickham-the-step-downs-shirtThank you for the support and please, share the podcast with anyone who you think will dig it!

Paul introduces the long awaited Mi Landing Podcast! He shares a little bit about what to expect in the future, then has a fantastic discussion with his former bandmate and good friend Zach Alexander.
