In a recent interview, co founder Ben Cohen revealed that the company's new owner, Magnum, forbade the Ben and Jerry's socials from criticizing Trump or Trumpism. Switzerland is set to vote on a referendum that would cap its population at 10 million permanent residents until 2050, which includes both immigrants and citizens. Daily Wire immigration reporter Jenny Terre has
Jenny Terre
the latest the vote is a sign of the frustration in Europe over an influx of immigration. Since 2000, the number of foreign born residents in Switzerland has climbed from 1 in 5 to 1 in 3. The demographic shift has been stark and has propelled the country's right wing Swiss People's Party to push back against EU influence on the Alpine nation. Switzerland's current population is around 9.1 million. If the referendum passes, it would force the government to restrict new asylum claims and family reunification for immigrant residents when the population hits 9.5 million. At 10 million, the Swiss government would have to sever its free movement agreement with the EU.
