Fighting intensified between Israel and Hezbollah this week ahead of a second round of ceasefire talks scheduled for Tuesday. Israeli strikes have focused on southern Lebanon and have taken out over 100 militants and dozens of combat sites within the past week. The military has also located and confiscated hundreds of weapons, including from caches found in civilian buildings. Iran had previously demanded that Israeli strikes on Hezbollah stop as a precondition for peace talks with the US but talks moved forward last week regardless.
