On Tuesday, the Department of justice gave a progress update on the administration's effort to take down health care fraudsters.

Since June 8th, we've charged 455 defendants across 56 like I said a minute ago, US Attorney's offices and 45 US states and territories. As alleged in the various indictments, these individuals participated in health care fraud schemes involving over $6.55 billion in false claims submitted to Medicare, Medicaid and other health care programs.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche called it the greatest combined federal and state effort in combating health care fraud in history. Of the hundreds of people charged so far, Blanche says officials across dozens of states and federal agencies were involved.

President Trump and Marco Rubio are shooting down what they say are false claims about the Iran deal. Foreign affairs reporter Cassia Kiva has the latest.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in the United Arab Emirates today warning that lasting peace in the Middle east is impossible as long as Iranian backed proxies continue launching attacks across the region. Rubio also rejected the idea that Iran could charge tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.

His comments come as Iran and Oman announced that they are beginning negotiations over the Strait's future administration after the U s Iran Steel 60 day toll free period expires. In a joint statement, the two countries emphasized their, quote, sovereignty and sovereign rights over the waterway. Meanwhile, President Trump pushed back after Iranian officials denied agreeing to nuclear inspections, saying Tehran committed to inspections, quote 100% and warning that he would cancel negotiations if that changes.

The Supreme Court handed President Trump a major immigration victory on the issue of green cards. Reporter Drew Berkmeyer has more.

The 6:3 decision split along ideological lines, gives the federal government broader power to scrutinize lawful permanent residents accused of crimes and strip their protected status before conviction. The case involved a Chinese green card holder who was facing a counterfeiting charge when he tried to re enter the country through JFK International Airport. Border officials flagged him as an applicant for admission rather than a returning resident. Writing for the majority, Justice Clarence Thomas said nothing in federal immigration law requires border officers to have clear and convincing evidence of a crime before making that call. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented, joined by Justices Sotomayor and Kagan, warning the ruling hands the government too much authority over green card holders. Quote, I worry that the court has now handed the government a massive blank check.

A shooting in a neighborhood in Montreal left three people dead yesterday, including a police officer, a civilian and the shooter. The attack unfolded shortly before noon when Montreal police received reports of an armed and dangerous individual. Upon arrival, the officers came under fire. One was killed and another was wounded. Video footage from the scene shows the suspect, dressed in camouflage and apparently Caucasian, lying face down on the ground alongside what appeared to be a rifle. Multiple outlets are reporting that the shooter's manifesto lamented the male loneliness epidemic and demonstrated hatred toward women.

In her latest financial report, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has revised her net worth downward by millions of dollars. Here with the story is contributor Tim Pierce.

Omar and her husband, Tim Minette, once valued their assets between 6 million and $30 million. In their latest disclosure, the couple revised those values down to between $20,000 and $125,000 for 2025. Taken in conjunction with Omar's claim debts of between $30,000 and $100,000, Omar could potentially now have a negative net worth. The big changes between Omar's 2024 and 2025 disclosures happened in the valuation of two of Minett's businesses, a now defunct winery and his venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital. According to disclosures, Rose Lake Capital brought in between $100,001 million in 2024. Omar says that their massive net worth shown in 2024 was due to an accounting error and that her current disclosures are accurate.

of all the crime that plagues Chicago residents, Mayor Brandon Johnson has chosen to highlight alleged violence against trans identifying men. Over the weekend, the mayor restated his declaration of a, quote, trans femicide state of emergency, which he said, quote, has strengthened the city's capacity to support LGBTQ Chicagoans. But according to the New York Post, Of Chicago's 198 homicides recorded this year, just one has been of a man who identified as a woman. Harmeet Dhillon, who heads the civil rights division at the Justice Department, threatened a DOJ investigation if Chicago uses this quote, inchoate gibberish theory to subordinate women's rights to transit identifying people.

The DOJ is joining with a group of Catholic nuns in their lawsuit against New York's transgender care mandate. The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne have provided free care to terminally ill cancer patients for over 120 years at the Rosary Hill home in New York. In 2024, they were sent a new ordinance requiring them to use trans pronouns, accommodate transgender lifestyles and participate in LGBT competency training. The state sent multiple follow up letters threatening fines, loss of licensure and even imprisonment if the sisters did not comply. The sisters are now suing the state over religious discrimination and the Trump DOJ is signing onto their suit.

Lance Twiggs, the trans identifying lover of the man accused of murdering Charlie Kirk, will not testify in court. That's so criminal. Host Lyndon Blake has more.

The judge sided with the prosecution, which argued they already have a recorded interview with Twigs and telling investigators that Robinson confessed to the crime, hit a weapon, disposed of clothing and warned his boyfriend not to tip off. Law enforcement authorities reportedly granted Twigs limited immunity in April for providing statements against Robinson. The prosecution will also present a handwritten note Robinson gave to Twiggs as evidence. This is the latest setback for Robinson's legal team after the judge denied their request to keep cameras out of the courtroom back in May.

Five people have now been arrested for allegedly slashing the floor of the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, pouring chemicals inside and placing large letters in the surrounding grass, which read 8647. President Trump spoke about it to the press, who tried to suggest that government contractors were actually to blame.

One of the people arrested was Olympic canoe racer David Hearn, who claims he only reached down to touch the reflecting pool's submerged surface. He said it appeared to be, quote, peeling paint that felt, quote, rubbery. He's got a court date next month and says he's seeking legal help.

A federal judge has halted the Trump administration effort to subpoena Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and others in an immigration probe. The administration is seeking all communications related to immigration enforcement, including if local authorities attempted to undermine Operation Metro surge in late 2025. But the judge called the DOJ's justification for the investigation, quote, risible and said it violated the 10th Amendment's Anti Commandeering doctrine that says local authorities can't be compelled to use their own resources to assist in federal efforts. Both Walls and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry openly stated at the time that they would not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

And DHS barred an Iranian regime insider from entering the US as part of the Iranian Soccer Team Federation this week. The individual had documented ties to the IRGC and was named president of the federation in 2022 despite having no historical ties to the organization. That caused Homeland Security to flag him as a possible political plant. Here's DHS Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen explaining the move to Fox.
