Meanwhile, Trump is apparently exploring punishments for NATO allies that haven't supported the Iran war. The proposal involves removing US Assets from uncooperative European nations and moving them to nations that have assisted in the war effort. The move, still in early stages, underscores the growing tension between Trump and European allies. White House press Secretary Caroline Levitt addressed the issue on Wednesday.
Caroline Levitt
It's quite sad that NATO turned their backs on the American people over the course of the last six weeks when it's the American people who have been funding their defense.

The UK says it uncovered and foiled a secret Russian submarine operation. Daily Wire senior editor Joel Niedler has more.
Joel Niedler
British Defense Secretary John Healy announced on Thursday that they had been monitoring three Russian subs that encroached on critical undersea infrastructure, including pipelines and information cables. One of the subs, according to Healy, was meant to act as a decoy to conceal the other two. Healy claims that Russia intended to map undersea infrastructure, hoping that instability in the Middle east had left Britain distracted. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Russia has shown increased aggression toward European allies, including Britain. The operation follows a string of incidents involving seabed infrastructure, including the suspicious severing of two British undersea cables by Chinese and Russian merchant ships, which were ostensibly called accidents, as well as the destruction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that the attacks on Hezbollah will continue, this despite Iranian attempts to pressure the US to intervene. Iran has claimed that Israeli strikes in Lebanon should be stopped under the ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran, which U.S. officials have rejected. Vice President J.D. vance said Wednesday that the ceasefire did not extend to Lebanon.
J.D. Vance
I actually think that is a reasonable misunderstanding, but neither US nor the Israelis said that that was going to be part of the ceasefire.

A press conference today featured angel families who lost loved ones to illegal immigrant violence. Daily Wire Immigration reporter Jenny Terre has the story.
Jenny Terre
Story One of the angel mothers at the event, Jennifer Boss, slammed sanctuary officials in Illinois and the Biden administration, which closed the office for victims of illegal immigrant crime. Her daughter Megan, was murdered by an illegal immigrant who stuffed her body in a trash can and doused her in bleach before walking free until he was arrested by ICE agents in Chicago. ICE Director Todd Lyons spoke at the event, saying these families are why his agency does what it does, despite being vilified by left wing critics.
Todd Lyons
When ICE officers and special agents are demonized, called Nazis. You know, hated this violence against we do it for these individuals, these families who are no longer with their loved ones because they didn't get the justice they deserved. And that's the main reason why ICE and our law enforcement partners are out there.

Jordan Schroeder
has more Brown, accused of slashing Zuricha's throat on a Charlotte train in August 2025, failed a psychiatric evaluation in December, leading a psychiatrist to declare him unfit to face the state murder charges. Lawyers have asked the judge to delay hearings, noting Brown cannot undergo a separate psychiatric evaluation while in custody. Zeruka, who fled Ukraine seeking safety, had only recently arrived in the US before the brutal killing, which was captured on surveillance footage and widely shared on social media. Brown had a long criminal history, including armed robbery and assault, and had been released on a written promise by North Carolina Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes just seven months before Zuruka's murder.

The man behind the Gilgo beach murders testified Wednesday in front of the relatives of his victims. Daily Wire reporter Zach Jewell has more
Zach Jewell
32 relatives of the victims gathered in a New York courthouse Wednesday to witness 62 year old Rex Heuerman publicly admit his guilt. Many of the loved ones had waited decades for that moment. Heuerman, a previously respected architect and married father, was convicted of killing seven young women between 1993 and 2010. But in a shock moment Wednesday, Heuerman also admitted to killing an eighth woman named Karen Vergada. Vergada's case had been cold since 1996. Heuerman evaded detection for years but was finally arrested in 2023 after investigators honed in on one small witness detail in the file that was overlooked during the initial investigation. He has been sentenced to three life terms in prison.

First lady Melania Trump shot down accusations of being connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Daily Wire lifestyle reporter Lauren Baer has more.
Lauren Baer
The first lady released a brief statement from the White House Thursday morning and denounced any connection to Epstein, despite having replied once by email to Ghislaine Maxwell, which Melania called a quote, polite reply and trivial note.
Melania Trump
The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein, Epstein or his accomplice Maxwell. I am not Epstein's victim. My attorneys and I have fought these unfound and baseless lies with success and will continue to maintain my sound reputation without hesitation.
Lauren Baer
Trump also called for action to bring victim testimony into the open and into the Congressional Record.
Melania Trump
Now is the time for Congress to act. Epstein was not alone. I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors. Give these victims their opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress and only then we will have the truth.

And the first American to summit Everest has died at the age of 97. Jim Whittaker of Townsend, Washington completed the feat in 1960. That was 10 years after New Zealand born Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepalese Sherpa Tenzing Norgay were the first to reach the 29,000 foot peak. Whitaker's overnight fame catapulted him into elite circles that included Bobby Kennedy, who himself was an avid climber. But Whitaker's proudest achievement was guiding 10 climbers with disabilities to the summit of Mount Rainier in 1981, which he called his personal Everest.
