The U.S. economy added 151,000 new jobs in February. That's the most robust jobs report since federal data revealed a rebound in employment growth. President Trump touted the jobs gains while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office today. Trump also issued a stern warning to Russia. He threatened new sanctions if the nation continues its bombardment of Ukraine. Trump said he believes a cease ceasefire and peace between Russia and Ukraine is still within reach. Meanwhile, President Zelensky said he will travel to Saudi Arabia next week to meet with U.S. officials for continued peace negotiations.

The State Department has revoked the visa of a Hamas supporting foreign student on a US Campus, the first such action under President Trump's pledge to curb pro Hamas protests. The student faces deportation, but his or her name and school will remain undisclosed due to legal limits. This comes after President Trump promised to defund colleges allowing illegal protests.

FEMA has terminated three supervisors after an internal investigation prompted by reporting by the Daily Wire. Daily Wire Deputy Managing Editor Tim Rice has the story.
Cameron Hamilton
Three additional supervisors at FEMA have been fired for failing to stop disaster relief workers from bypassing Trump supporting homes devastated by Hurricane Milton in Florida. In a letter, acting FEMA Administrator Cameron Hamilton said that supervisors did not meet conduct standards, calling the incident reprehensible and announcing mandatory staff retraining to ensure impartial aid efforts. The probe was sparked when the Daily Wire was notified by a whistleblower that there was widespread bias against families whose homes displayed support for Trump or maga and that supervisors told FEMA field agents to avoid those homes. Therefore, those families were not offered any disaster relief.

A former top aide to Kamala Harris is now under criminal investigation, accused of forging paperwork to take advantage of Elon Musk's fork in the road buyout offer. Daily Wire investigative reporter Luke Rosiak, who first broke the story, has more.
Luke Rosiak
The criminal investigation is likely to explore whether high level officials, potentially including Harris herself, as well as Lina Khan, Joe Biden's chair of the Federal Trade Commission, conspired to embed the vice president's deputy domestic policy advisor, Nathaniel Siegel, into a civil service job just before Trump's inauguration. He was placed on the payroll on direct orders of Khan despite the fact that he was missing essential paperwork, three Trump administration officials told the Daily Wire. In mid February, Siegel doctored a document to try to secure the deferred resignation program buyout despite not being eligible and its deadline having passed, the official said. The buyout program gives eligible career employees benefits worth as much as $200,000 in exchange for leaving the government.

Marita Lordy
DeSantis is urging the CDC to stop recommending COVID 19 vaccines for children and calling for a permanent ban on MRNA vaccine mandates in his state. Several conservative led states are targeting the technology with new restrictions. Iowa, Montana and Idaho all have bills aiming to limit or ban MRNA vaccines, reflecting ongoing skepticism about the technology.

Listeners may remember the three men who were found dead outside a friend's home after watching a Kansas City Chiefs game. Now prosecutors are bringing charges against two of their friends. Both face involuntary manslaughter and drug charges. Prosecutors say the men died of fentanyl and cocaine toxicity. Bags of drugs were found at the home where they died. A Platte county prosecuting attorney announced the charges Wednesday, noting the case's complexity delayed the investigation.

The Obama State Department interfered with the FBI and other law enforcement that wanted to take action against Iranian targets. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the story.
Chuck Grassley
Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Senator Chuck Grassley released a report this week that shows the Obama administration worked to protect Iranian officials from US Law enforcement. The interference took place while then President Obama negotiated the joint comprehensive Plan of Action known as the Iran nuclear deal. Grassley accused the Obama administration of jeopardizing U.S. national security. The report says the interference only stopped when Trump entered the White House in 2017. Grassley said, quote, democrats historic refusal to get tough on Iran emboldened its regime and allowed Tehran to continue funding global acts of terrorism like what we saw on October 7, 2023. Grassley added that we should all be breathing a sigh of relief. President Trump is back in the White House to restore American strength on the world stage and hold Iran accountable for its evil acts.

And the Broadway hit Hamilton will not play at the Kennedy Center. Daily Wire Culture reporter Megan Basham tells us why.
Megan Basham
Producer Jeffrey Seller announced this week that he and his team are canceling planned shows, saying that President Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center's leadership and his push for an anti woke overhaul was the cause. Hamilton was set to run from March 3 to April 26 next year, but in a statement, Seller said, our show simply cannot in good conscience participate and be a part of this new culture that is being imposed on the Kennedy Center. Trump is now chair of the Kennedy center, and interim President Richard Grenell called Hamilton's cancellation a publicity stunt that will backfire.

Morning Wire Podcast Summary
Episode: FEMA Fires Partisans & February Jobs Growth | Afternoon Update | 3.7.25
Release Date: March 7, 2025
In this episode, John Bickley highlights a significant uptick in the U.S. economy, announcing that "the U.S. economy added 151,000 new jobs in February. That's the most robust jobs report since federal data revealed a rebound in employment growth" (00:38). President Trump celebrated these gains during a press briefing in the Oval Office, emphasizing the administration's focus on economic strength. Additionally, Trump addressed international tensions, stating, "I believe a ceasefire and peace between Russia and Ukraine is still within reach" (00:38), while warning Russia of potential new sanctions if their aggression continues.
Georgia Howe reports on a significant development within FEMA, where three supervisors were terminated following an internal investigation prompted by the Daily Wire's reporting (01:35). Deputy Managing Editor Tim Rice details that "supervisors did not meet conduct standards, calling the incident reprehensible and announcing mandatory staff retraining to ensure impartial aid efforts" (01:46). Cameron Hamilton, acting FEMA Administrator, explained that disaster relief workers had been instructed to avoid homes supporting Trump or MAGA, resulting in biased aid distribution after Hurricane Milton devastated parts of Florida (01:46).
Georgia Howe further covers national security concerns, noting that the State Department has revoked the visa of a foreign student supporting Hamas on a U.S. campus (01:13). This action marks the first under President Trump's commitment to "curb pro Hamas protests" (01:13). While the student's identity and institution remain undisclosed due to legal restrictions, this move aligns with Trump's broader strategy to defund colleges permitting illegal protests.
A former top aide to Vice President Kamala Harris is now under criminal investigation for allegedly forging paperwork to benefit from Elon Musk's buyout offer, as reported by Georgia Howe and explored further by Luke Rosiak (02:22; 02:37). Rosiak explains that the investigation could reveal whether high-level officials, including Harris and FTC Chair Lina Khan, conspired to place Nathaniel Siegel into a civil service position without proper documentation (02:37). Siegel is accused of modifying documents to access a buyout program offering up to "$200,000" for government employees to resign (02:37).
Governor Ron DeSantis is leading the charge against MRNA vaccine mandates in Florida, urging the CDC to "stop recommending COVID-19 vaccines for children" and calling for a permanent ban on such mandates (03:53). Marita Lordy reports that Florida is among several conservative-led states—alongside Iowa, Montana, and Idaho—introducing legislation to limit or ban MRNA vaccines, reflecting widespread skepticism about the technology (03:53).
Georgia Howe covers a tragic incident where three men were found dead after watching a Kansas City Chiefs game, leading to charges against two of their friends for involuntary manslaughter and drug-related offenses (04:14). Prosecutors attribute the deaths to "fentanyl and cocaine toxicity" and discovered bags of drugs at the victims' residence. The Platte County prosecuting attorney commented on the case's complexity, which delayed the investigation (04:14).
John Bickley brings attention to a report by Senator Chuck Grassley, which alleges that the Obama administration interfered with FBI and other law enforcement efforts to target Iranian officials during the Iran nuclear deal negotiations (04:43; 04:53). Grassley stated, "democrats historic refusal to get tough on Iran emboldened its regime and allowed Tehran to continue funding global acts of terrorism like what we saw on October 7, 2023" (04:53). He expressed relief over the change in administration, asserting that Trump's presidency would "restore American strength on the world stage and hold Iran accountable for its evil acts" (04:53).
The episode also covers the cancellation of the Broadway hit Hamilton at the Kennedy Center, attributed to political shifts within the institution (05:40; 05:48). Culture reporter Megan Basham explains that producer Jeffrey Seller withdrew the show, citing President Trump's "takeover of the Kennedy Center's leadership and his push for an anti woke overhaul" (05:48). Seller stated, "Our show simply cannot in good conscience participate and be a part of this new culture that is being imposed on the Kennedy Center" (05:48). In response, interim President Richard Grenell criticized the cancellation as a "publicity stunt that will backfire" (05:48).
John Bickley wraps up the episode by summarizing additional stories covered earlier in the day, including Trump's plans to dismantle the Department of Education, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s initiatives to improve national health, and a recent court setback for Trump (06:25). He encourages listeners to visit dailywire.com for more in-depth coverage and previews the next morning's edition.
