John Bickley
Hello, Morning Wire listeners. I'm Daily Wire Editor in Chief John Bickley with Georgia Howe. We wanted to take a moment on this Christmas day to express our gratitude. It's a great privilege to host this show and we only get to do it because of you tuning in every day. Thank you for this ongoing gift. In return, we wanted to give something back today a little more Christmas spirit from our team.
Georgia Howe
As we do every year, we asked our regular contributors to offer a Christmas message. We hope you enjoy listening to their responses as much as we have.
Ash Short
Hi, this is Ash Short, and something I'm looking forward to in 2025 is a better economy and finally, an administration with a plan to slash government spending. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Tim Pierce
Hey Morning Wire fans, it's your favorite reporter, Tim Pierce. And for this year's Christmas message, I wanted to recommend my latest obsession, listening to the podcast Storytime for Grown Ups with fai. More for those of you who don't know, Faith is the daughter of Daily Wire's own Andrew Clavin. I don't know her, never met her, and her podcast isn't associated with Daily Wire, but it is fantastic. Right now she is doing a Christmas special, reading through A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens while offering your own thoughts and insights along the way. It's a great way to get in touch with great literature and one of my favorite listens when I'm off the clock like I am right now. So if you're looking for something to do over the holiday, check out Faith in her podcast Story Time for Grown Ups. You won't regret it.
Mary Margaret Olihan
Hey guys, it's Mary Margaret Olihan and I'm so excited to be spending Christmas with my parents, my 10 siblings, our two dogs, and my brand new little nephew. You already know that the Olahan household will be full of happy chaos and holiday cheer. Thanks for listening to Morning Wire and Merry Christmas.
Amanda Prestagiacomo
Hey Morning Wire listeners. This is Daily Wire reporter Amanda Prestagiacomo. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is baking all sorts of Italian and Christmas cookies with my sisters and my mom and then giving our loved ones tins full of cookies. This year we pulled together 28 types of cookies. My little sister went just a little bit overboard. Thank you for tuning in and have a wonderful Christmas.
Spencer Lindquist
Hey Morning Wire listeners, this is Daily Wire investigative reporter Spencer Lindquist and I hope you're having a very merry Christmas. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is going to a reenactment of Bethlehem and the birth of Christ every year with my family and our Close family, friends. Every year, a local church puts on a spectacular and elaborate show, complete with a musical performance by Mary, a column of Roman soldiers marching down the street, and a procession of wise men and their animals. My favorite of which as a child, were always the camels.
Ash Short
Hi, everyone. This is Daily Wire reporter Marie delordi. Probably my very favorite thing at Christmastime is seeing the church glow with candlelight at midnight Mass. And I also love carrying on my mom's tradition of making honey macaronis. These have honey. They've got brown sugar, maraschino cherries. If you've never made these, you've just got to. Anyway, a very merry Christmas to all of you. Thanks for listening.
Tim Rice
Hey, guys. Daily Wire Deputy Managing editor Tim Rice here wishing all our Morning Wire listeners a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. You know, they say the best thing about Christmas when you have kids is being able to share your traditions with them. But I wouldn't know anything about that because my daughter's just over a year old and is mostly interested in trying to eat the ornaments off our Christmas tree. So this year, my wife and I will be carrying on with our Christmas customs, whether the little one realizes it or not. And that includes my favorite tradition of all, watching White Christmas. It's the greatest Christmas movie ever made, perfect for kids from 1 to 92. Whether you've seen it before or not, do yourself a favor and give it a watch this year, preferably while drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate.
Cabot Phillips
Hey, everybody, Cabot Phillips here. To me, Christmas is all about hope. Not just for the new year ahead, but more importantly, the hope of new life. I became a father this year and have a new appreciation for the deep love God has for us to have sent his only son into this earth to bring us salvation. It is a common platitude, but it's true. He is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas to all, especially you, our wonderful Morning Wire listeners.
Georgia Howe
In just a few weeks, it will be four years since I left my nursing job in Los Angeles to take a chance on a very uncertain position here at Daily Wire. Many of you have been here since our very first episode of Morning Wire, and you will be as amazed as I am that we are now closing in on episode 2000. In that time, behind the scenes, I've had many personal milestones, including, most importantly, welcoming my daughter this spring. Spring, it's been a wild and wonderful ride here in Tennessee, and it's only possible because listeners like you tuned in and kept tuning in, and hopefully you can hear it in our voices every day. But we love making this show. Anyway. On behalf of our whole team, Merry Christmas.
John Bickley
Well, I can't beat that. But I can say that we all just got to go through together the most unpredictable election year of our lifetime. It was, at times, harrowing, sometimes hilarious. What a ride. Being able to cover these events with this team over the course of the last 12 months was only possible because of you. Today is the best of all days set aside to remember the most profound, unearned of all gifts. It's a time when I personally feel overwhelmed with all the many blessings in my life, and this show is one of them. Thank you for making it happen.
Georgia Howe
Thank you again for tuning in every morning. We love what we do, and we do it because of you. As we mentioned yesterday, we are going to be changing up our schedule a bit over the next week and a half, but we will be offering new content every day in the form of interviews and special episodes. And of course, as usual, we will not hesitate to drop a breaking news update in the event of any major.
