It's day four of the Tyler Robinson hearings. Ukraine carries out large scale drone strikes on Russia and China opens a robot run hotel. I'm Daily Wire executive editor John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Thursday, July 9th. This is Evening Wire.

A fourth day of testimony today began in the preliminary hearings for Tyler Robinson, the man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk. Judge Tony Graf cleared a key piece of evidence for broadcast, a recorded law enforcement interview with Robinson's transgender lover, Lance Twiggs. Twiggs told investigators Robinson asked him for power tools to engrave messages into bullets days before Kirk's shooting. He also said that Robinson confessed to him in person the day after the shooting, breaking down in tears and saying he wished he hadn't done it. Twiggs also told investigators he recognized Robinson in the suspect photo and surveillance video released by police. Prosecutors also presented the full text exchange between Twiggs and Robinson in the hours after the shooting. Asked why he did it, Robinson wrote, quote, I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out and said he'd been planning the attack for over a week. The week long preliminary hearings will wrap Friday at 5pm Mountain Time.

The multi day funeral procession, which traveled through cities in Iran and Iraq, also featured signs depicting President Trump in crosshairs, banners offering rewards for his assassination and posters calling for blood. Meanwhile, US forces struck roughly 90 Iranian military targets overnight, according to Centcom, hitting air defense systems, missile and drone facilities, naval assets and military logistics and infrastructure. Iran responded by launching missiles across the region, prompting the U.S. embassy in Jordan to urge Americans to seek immediate shelter as Jordanian forces intercepted multiple incoming missiles.

The US Navy has identified the aviator missing after an emergency landing at sea. Daily Wire producer Justice Spuehler has more.

The US Navy has identified the pilot who went missing after an MH 60s Seahawk helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea. Commander Gabriel Edwards, who led helicopter CE Combat Squadron 5 disappeared during the incident that occurred on July 1st. Three other crew members were rescued, but after 102 hour search spanning more than 14,000 square miles, the Navy called off the rescue efforts. Officials say there's no evidence that the emergency landing was caused by hostile activity and the cause remains under investigation. Acting Navy Secretary Hong Kao says Edwards will posthumously be promoted to the rank of captain in recognition of his 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife Rebecca and their two children.

A toddler that was declared dead at a hospital in Gilbert, Arizona was found alive hours later in the morgue. 18 month old Vincent Lorenzo Fiordellino was rushed to a hospital after his family pulled him from their suburban pool. He'd been underwater for about five minutes. The medical team, led by Dr. Ariane Tousi at Mercy Gilbert Medical center pronounced Fiordellino dead, but police officers say the medical team ignored signs of life and rushed to judgment. Fiordellino was found alive hours later by a medical examiner in the morgue. According to a family GoFundMe, an MRI revealed the toddler had bruising on his brain that will take extensive therapy to recover from. It's unclear whether the bruising is from the pool incident or the hospital's mistake.

Trump's latest attempt to wrangle lawmakers came this week when he tied the Save America act to a $350 billion defense package. The Save America act has been stalled in Congress for months. Republicans were able to pass it out of the House, but the bill has remained stuck in the Senate over resistance from Democrats.

Four states are seeking $1.4 trillion in penalties from Meta over claims that Facebook and Instagram children California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey are claiming that Meta's social platforms are intentionally addictive and that they withheld information from the public about the known harms they caused to young people. The 1.4 trillion in damages was calculated based on the number of children harmed multiplied by the estimated number of infractions. But Meta has balked at the figure, stating that the entire company is worth a comparable 1.5 trillion. The trial is set to begin in Oakland, California next month.
