President Trump is threatening retaliation after Iran shot down a US Military helicopter on Monday. The act shattered an already tenuous ceasefire between the US And Iran. Joining us now to discuss is Daily Wire contributor Tim Pierce. So, Tim, we saw the US Respond to that attack late yesterday. What can you tell us?
Tim Pierce
Yeah, President Trump vowed to respond and he didn't take long to follow through. According to U.S. central Command, the U.S. began to launch airstrikes against Iran at 5pm Eastern time yesterday. Targets included Iranian air defense systems and radars. Reports in Iranian state media made the attacks seem like they are concentrated along Iran's Persian Gulf coast. CENTCOM called the strikes a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression. Now, for its part, Tehran has neither denied nor taken responsibility for the downed helicopter. But Iran's foreign minister did post on XV yesterday that foreign forces in the region are at a constant risk on account of their own human errors, plane accidents, or potentially being caught in crossfire. President Trump was more blunt. He said Iran was behind the downed Apache and they quote, the United States must of necessity respond to this attack. He also confirmed that the two pilots of the downed aircraft were rescued and are safe.
Daily Wire Host
Now, what do we know about the attack that downed that American helicopter?
Tim Pierce
Well, the Apache crew was out on patrol near the Hormu Straight when it went down. The military said it would investigate the crash, but earlier reports say that it was caused by an Iranian shahed drone. After that, the US Military was in a race to find the down airmen before the Iranian forces could get to them. And in order to win that race, the US Used unmanned drones to locate the pilots and even transport them to a safe pickup location. From what we know so far, the airmen were found by a U S. Navy unmanned surface vessel, essentially a boat drone. After they had spent about two hours floating in the Straight, the drone took them to shore where the pilots were picked up by helicopter and taken for a medical exam. That mission marked the first time that search surface drones have been used in a rescue operation like that. It's a pretty new technology for the military. The unmanned vessel is part of Task Force 59, which the Navy launched in 2021 to incorporate more drone tech like the unmanned surface vessels. The Navy began to deploy their drone boats back in March.

Now, what does this whole interaction mean for the ceasefire, what's left of it, and a potential deal to end the war?
Tim Pierce
Well, it's certainly a step back for the ceasefire and it easily could have ended it. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier that Trump has told aides he the ceasefire if Iran killed an American service member. So we'll have to see what kind of effect this attack has on the negotiation process. It's notable that after this attack, the president said early Tuesday morning that negotiations were going well and he expects a deal soon, even within two to three days. Here was Trump.
John Bickley
I don't think there are any sticking points. We're very close to having a very, very good, strong, powerful deal and we'll get, we'll have a signed document that's actually stronger than doing the bombing.
Tim Pierce
Trump said that the blockade on Iranian shipping, which has been in place since mid April, has had a big impact on Iran's economy.
John Bickley
The blockades turned out to be much stronger than bombing. They're going to make a deal.
Tim Pierce
The attack on the U.S. apache came right after Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, which Israel responded to earlier this week, making that the first major exchange of fire between the two countries since the ceasefire went into effect in April. So while the President seems optimistic about a peace deal right now, lately Iran seems more intent on pouring fuel on the conflict rather than trying to find an exit.
Daily Wire Host
Well, no doubt Iranians know that President Trump is under a lot of pressure here at home over this. Tim, thanks for joining.
Tim Pierce
Thanks for having me on.

Most of us are trying to make better decisions about food right now, eating at home a little more often, paying more attention to ingredients, and trying to buy higher quality food wherever possible. But one thing a lot of Americans still don't realize is how difficult it's become to actually know where our meat comes from. A huge percentage of beef sold in the US Is imported from overseas, while American ranchers are forced to compete against lower cost foreign meat every day. Over time, that affects whether family farms and ranchers can continue operating at all. That's why companies like Good Ranchers matter. Good Ranchers partners directly with American farms and ranches to deliver 100% American meat straight to your door. Beef, chicken, pork and seafood sourced entirely from US Producers. Good Ranchers makes it simple to stock the kitchen with quality American raised meat while also supporting the farmers and ranchers keeping American agriculture alive. Start your plan today and you'll get free meat included with every order plus $100 off your first three orders with our code wire. Just go to goodranchers.com and use code Wire at checkout. That's free meat with every and $100 off your first three orders when you start your subscription plan this month only, or if you just want to try it out, you can get $40 off your first order with our code wire instead.

A new Daily Wire investigation found that a taxpayer funded cultural orientation program is teaching refugees how to shower and use a toilet while taking a hostile stance toward white refugees.
Daily Wire Host
Daily Wire immigration reporter Jenny Terr reported on the shocking content and she joins us now to discuss so Jenny, can you tell us exactly what refugees are consuming as part of their orientation to American life?
Jenny Terr
So when refugees enter the U.S. they are given some kind of course on how to better assimilate to the American way of life. And so this is through an app some of them are given where they watch videos and some of them actually go to in person courses on this. Now these videos that we found are pretty shocking. They're about personal hygiene and like you mentioned, they teach very basic things like how to use a toilet, shower regularly, use deodorant, all those types of things that you would think are basic knowledge. Here's one of the clips.
Daily Wire Host
Personal hygiene is the practice of maintaining individual care for the body and clothing. In the United States, this means taking regular showers or baths, applying deodorant daily, washing and grooming hair and washing clothes frequently. Wear clothing that is clean, brush your teeth twice a day, do not spit in public, do not urinate in public.
Jenny Terr
Now these videos are produced through a non profit organization, the International Rescue Committee, which runs this group called Settle in that through its group Switchboard actually produces the videos and distributes them to other nonprofit organizations that are aiding refugees and are instructing them on how to assimilate to the American way of life. Settle in is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services and is part of, like we said, the International Rescue Committee's Switchboard initiative, which boasts that it is 100% federally funded through a grant that has given them more than $20 million in taxpayer funds since 2023.
Daily Wire Host
So $20 million just in the past three or four years is a lot. Now how long has this program been going on and how did we suddenly find out about it?
Jenny Terr
These videos have been around for years. Actually they've been teaching this to refugees for a while now. But how this really came to light is because now the Trump administration is prioritizing the admission of Afrikaner refugees, those white South Africans who are an ethnic minority in South Africa who are facing racial persecution. So groups like the IRC have been offering these for years. And the Trump administration actually, in its fight to reform the refugee program, they tried to cut the contracts to the IRC a while ago. And due to a court order, because of lawsuits, the Trump administration had to reinstate those contracts and has to continue to use them for refugee resettlement programs like this. Now, I spoke to several of these Africaners who were given these videos through the app or who had gone to a training session where they showed the videos and they said they were just shocked by what they saw. These are highly educated, highly skilled refugees for the most part, and they largely speak English. So integrating to American life is a little bit different for them as opposed to other populations that have come in the past. So when they were exposed to these videos, they just said they were laughing. They thought it was a joke. And it was just shocking to see that this population is being taught again how to use a toilet and to shower. Now, we should also note that Switchboard paints Afrikaners as settlers who took part in, quote, displacing native peoples who adopted a sense of nationalism through collective suffering at the hands of the British in their own words. And this is from a guide that they are giving to caseworkers who are supposed to be helping resettle these Afrikaners. The guide totally neglects to mention that these Afrikaners are facing racial persecution and the killings of South African farmers that have happened en masse in their country. It really just shows that they're adopting this hostile tone towards this population that they are purporting to help.
Daily Wire Host
Right. It certainly would sound that way. Now, you've also reported this week earlier about a historic action by the Trump administration to denaturalize 17 foreign born U.S. citizens. You've reported on the show about denaturalization you've said is extremely hard to accomplish. Who are these 17?
Jenny Terr
The Trump administration has made it a priority to push for the denaturalization of foreign born US Citizens as part of its war on fraud and a crackdown on migrant crime. This list is probably the largest that we've seen of the Trump administration's pursuit of denaturalization. And I'll give you some examples from it. One of the individuals was A Cuban born US citizen who ran about 30 physical therapy clinics in Florida that fraudulent billed about $36 million for services that were never even given or were just not medically necessary. Another is a Roman Catholic priest who was born in Colombia and he later used his position in the church to abuse and groom a minor who was attending the church. And as we've reported on this show before, it's very difficult for the federal government to secure denaturalization because they would need to prove that these individuals concealed a crime when they were applying for citizenship.
Daily Wire Host
Jenny, thanks so much for reporting.
Jenny Terr
Thank you.

to 83848 Chinese automakers, including BYD, are producing vehicles that industry executives say are increasingly competitive on technology quality, price. Now Congress is considering legislation that would ban the importation, manufacture and sale of all vehicle parts linked to China.
John Bickley
Joining us now is Lauren Fix, one of America's best known automotive experts who's been tracking this growing debate over Chinese vehicles and what their rise could mean for the future of the American auto market. Lauren, thank you so much for joining us.
Lauren Fix
Well, thanks for having me. Yeah, there's a lot going on in the automotive world. In the past, I think it was kind of quiet. People just drove their cars. But there's so much going on in the world and I think a lot of people are missing what's really happening and the impact it's going to have on everyone.
John Bickley
Yeah, some people are really starting to pay attention now. We've all seen the tariff wars. There's a 100% tariff on all electric vehicles from China still. How is the president handling the attempt by Chinese companies to take over more of the market?
Lauren Fix
So what President Trump has done is left the tariff in place. And so we if you want to build cars here in North America, great, build a plant here. Not all the car brands like that, by the way, there are many car brands that are pushing against that because the Japanese and The Koreans have invested heavily here in the U.S. mostly Hyundai Corporation. So if China wants to build plants here in the U.S. use UAW workers, have the same costs that we have here, then President Trump's willing to hear them out. So that could be interesting. But China's already working a backdoor route.
John Bickley
Yeah. What is that? And also, are there national security implications to all of this?
Lauren Fix
Absolutely. So there's some interesting things you may not realize when you get in your vehicle and you want to sync your Bluetooth to your phone. You get in and it takes your information. Say, oh, do you want to put your address book in? We've all done that. Right. But with the Chinese cars, it literally takes everything off your phone. And when I was test driving one of their vehicles, I was told by one of the internals who's from the U.S. don't leave your Bluetooth on, because it'll literally take everything off your phone, including your passwords and everything. So that's a big security issue, and every consumer can understand that. But when you're driving around the US Roads, it will literally take all that information and send that back to the home base, which is China. So that opens up doors. So when you pull in your garage and your Bluetooth is on your phone and it's on your car, guess what? It's also on your WI fi in your home. And all that data from your home is now being sent to China as well. So that's the big thing. A couple senators are jumped on board and trying to put some policy in place to stop that, but also they're taking over, and they have for years used power parts that you would put on cars, center screens, hard parts like suspension components, wheels, and tires. They've really come in to infiltrate our industry and try to own the auto industry.
John Bickley
So the legislation that we mentioned at the top, Senators Bernie Moreno and Alyssa Slotkin introduced this bill. A lot of American automakers do support it, labor groups, etc.
Lauren Fix
Some do, some, some don't. Yeah.
John Bickley
So why are they doing this? What's the heart behind this bill?
Lauren Fix
What Senator Bernie Moreno out of Ohio wants to do. He understands that the impact to jobs, the impact to our economy, the impact to manufacturing here in the US Is quite dramatic. If China were to come in and have all their parts shipped in, the problem is it would be lower costs, good for consumers initially. But the cars and the quality of the parts are good. They're not as good as what we're getting from other brands. So the thing is, it's going to be A lot of I will call them not necessarily more disposable type cars, cars that are cheap enough that you go, I'll just get another one. China's trying backdoor ways to get in. So there is a company called Leap Motors. Leap Motors has a partnership with Stellantis. Stellantis used to be Fiat Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, all the brands that we kind of know. Well, that's no longer a domestic car company. That is a car company that's based out of Belgium. And their relationship with China has been in place for a while. So they're now going to let LEAP Motors build SUV's here in North America. And I've been reporting on this for quite a while that this could be a problem because you are now letting China in here. And that's going to be a big problem because it's going to affect the U, because the UAW wants jobs. So we're starting to see the, the, the infiltration, shall we say of Chinese influence. Some of it will go through, some of it can be blocked through legislation.
John Bickley
Yeah. Kind of overwhelming how complicated all of this is. There's so many component parts literally and then sort of figuratively. Lauren, thank you so much for joining us.
Lauren Fix
Thanks for having me.
