Out May 29th 2026. Buy here : https://phutureshockmusik.bandcamp.com/album/coquito Taking charge of the first solo release of 2026 on Phuture Shock Musik is iconic Detroit producer John Beltran, serving up an exquisite double shot of summery, percussion-laced jams entitled - ‘Coquito’ b/w ‘Piragua’ - both of which are rooted in deep house, Afro-Latin and hip hop influences. Having risen to prominence back in the early 90’s with his debut release (‘Aquatic’) on Carl Craig’s seminal Retroactive imprint, Beltran has spent the last thirty-plus years, via multiple guises, crafting and exploring everything from techno, ambient and IDM to D&B, Latin jazz fusion and balearic downtempo. Noted for his melodic and emotive-rich signature style, his prolific and incredibly diverse output remains to be of a consistent quality, and has featured among the esteemed catalogues of Delsin, Peacefrog, R&S, Ubiquity, and Good Looking records, to name just a few. Here the Michigan native shores up on Phuture Shock, helming the eleventh missive in the Bristol label’s ‘DUBZ’ series, with two masterfully-crafted productions that exemplify his highly versatile approach to creativity. Leaning towards familiar Balearic territory and sun-splashed with global influences, Beltran’s latest effort is built for dancefloor settings and headphone listening alike, whilst also keeping with the genre-bending spirit of both artist and label. Side A of the record hosts the cowbell-laden rhythms of ‘Coquito’, a breezy slab of Detroit house beaming with soulful warmth and feel-good vibes; combining flickering keys, dubby low end and warm lingering synths, over lively percussive patterns and 4/4 kicks with a carefree bop that’ll transport you straight to the balmy heights of summer. On the flipside is the summer night bliss of ‘Piragua’, an altogether downtempo affair with a sprinkling of Afro-Latin meets West coast flavours, where samba-tinged percussion shuffles beside low-slung hip hop beats, complete with jazzy piano chords, emotive strings and atmospheric ocean waves, evoking a smooth mix of Brazilian saudade feels, balearic relaxation and Motor City swagger. Out May 19th 2026. Buy here : https://bikinibody.bandcamp.com/album/weirdest-party-ep Paradise Palms Records announce a new release from Bikini Body, your favourite DJ’s favourite punk band. Following two records on Optimo Music, whose early support helped shape both their trajectory and their hybrid sound, the band return with a set that pushes further into the space between dance-floor pressure and punk confrontation. Across these tracks Percussive, driving and physical, but always wired with attitude. The remixes open things out for club systems while keeping the band’s raw edge intact. Drawing on ESG, Liquid Liquid, Warmduscher and Squid, their sound pairs tight, propulsive grooves with a vocal style that owes as much to The Slits, Bush Tetras and X-Ray Spex as it does to any contemporary scene. It’s music that feels equally at home in a sweatbox basement or on a packed dance-floor. Recent activity cements that crossover: a 13-date UK co-headline tour ending in a sold-out London show, a packed Windmill Brixton headline, key festival slots, and airplay across BBC Radio 1, Radio 6, KEXP and NTS. Out May 08th 2026. Buy here : https://futurepast.bandcamp.com/album/t-a-m-22-tam-cx FPTAM01 marks the 10th vinyl output on Futurepast and introduces a new subseries initiated by T.A.M.22. Conceived as a time-based operation, the project moves between memory and projection, reactivating past structures in a forward, anticipatory mode. The tracklist is inscribed as time codes, each one indexing a separate temporal trajectory. The core of the project relies on a reduced setup: Jomox Alphabase, a single synthesizer per track, and a one-take recording approach, capturing a specific moment in time. Post-editing is kept minimal to preserve its raw, live character. Across the EP, transformation unfolds through shifts in perception, dissolving any stable sense of reality. Temporal drift replaces fixed structure. The sonic language focuses on raw drum architecture, low-end pressure, and submerged textures. Out May 02nd 2026. Buy here : https://thrustrecordings.bandcamp.com Lee Coombs & Tara Brooks - Tell Me is out on May 2nd, 2026. The title track sits in a familiar peak-time House lane, but there’s more going on in the details than a straight functional tool. Its central groove is direct and propulsive, though the track’s old-school Techno-soul edge stops it from feeling too clean or too linear. There’s a roughness to the movement that gives it some weight, with enough swing and pressure to hold attention without overplaying its hand. Lee Coombs’ two remixes take the same material in more specific directions. The Acid Mix strips things back into a darker, more dubbed-out framework, leaning into repetition, space and low-end tension rather than immediate release. It’s the version most clearly aimed at later hours, where atmosphere does as much work as momentum. The Classic Mix turns toward late-'80s warehouse house, pulling out a looser, more open kind of energy. It gestures toward that period’s rawness and uplift without sounding overly referential. Across the three versions, Tell Me sketches out a small but useful range: peak-time drive, heads-down pressure and a more classic warehouse swing. It’s a concise package, but one that covers enough ground to give DJs a few different ways into the same idea. Out May 08th 2026. Buy here : http://affinerecords.bandcamp.com Have you ever seriously wondered what the shattered dreams of a caravanist sound like? If not, don't rack your brains any further. The answer is provided by 24-year-old music producer, media-artist and filmmaker Noayama - who is currently based in Vienna - with his compact 5-track EP “Caravanist's Shattered Dreams”. Rap artists Deem Spencer (Queens, New York) and NAPPYNAPPA (Washington, D.C.) accentuate “that certain feeling” that pervades the entire EP in very different ways with their features. On “Don't Had To Know” and “BBQ RAVE”, they oscillate between lo-fi aesthetics, introspective lyrics, experimental rap and distorted fragments of speech. Out May 01st 2026. Buy here : https://billspice.bandcamp.com/album/maiden-voyage-ep Bill Spice makes a strong first statement with Maiden Voyage EP, a four-track debut that feels rooted in classic traditions while still moving with its own personality. From Edinburgh, the record leans into synth-led grooves, acid pressure, dub space and flashes of Italo colour, landing somewhere between warm machine funk and heads-down momentum. Across the EP, Spice shows a clear instinct for movement and texture rather than overcomplication. “Hyperloop” opens with a sleek, forward-pushing energy, pairing cosmic touches with driving low-end and a satisfying acid finish. “Charade” twists into funkier territory, with a more playful rhythmic feel and off-centre details giving it extra character. “Elasticity” is the peak-time moment, all tension, stabs and acid bite, while “Hydrology” closes things on a deeper and more fluid note, rich in groove without losing the EP’s sense of pulse. For a debut, Maiden Voyage EP feels confident and well-shaped. There is affection here for Acid House, Dub and Italo Disco, but it never comes off as imitation. Instead, Bill Spice delivers four streamlined instrumental cuts that sound like the work of someone who has spent real time with the music and knows exactly how he wants it to move. Out May 09th 2026. Buy here : https://openthenext.bandcamp.com/album/trece-otn-13 Trece explores what remains once the excess is removed. Five tracks built for the dancefloor at low BPM, where tension unfolds gradually and each element leaves a trace before dissolving. Rhythm is present but restrained, allowing space for repetition, texture and subtle shifts to define the movement. Rooted in Umo’s slow rave language, the EP revisits the early 90s rave energy — reconstructing its original pulse through a slower, more controlled form. Beats echo the past while synthesizers project forward, creating a continuous dialogue between memory and anticipation. Rather than driving forward, the EP holds the listener in suspension — a controlled field where time stretches and the body responds to minimal signals. A space where collective listening becomes alignment, and movement emerges from shared resonance. Out April 24th 2026. Buy here : https://distrikt051.bandcamp.com/album/erratic-movement-dstr04 Distrikt 051 presents Erratic Movement, a single with three remixes that explores several strands of contemporary underground club music. The original by ALXSML unfolds through restrained tension, hypnotic sequencing and a raw rhythmic framework that gradually locks the listener into its forward motion. Each reinterpretation approaches the material from a distinct perspective. Ana Antonova reshapes the track into darker, groove-driven territory, Inwa pushes the structure into raw acid intensity, while Korak reframes the original idea through sharp Detroit-influenced electro rhythms. Bringing together a new generation of Croatian producers alongside the label’s founder, the release forms a fully domestic collaboration that reflects different shades of the Croatian underground electronic scene.
