Mysterious PNW Road trip stop # Hollywood, FL & The murder of Adam Walsh

Adam Walsh was a 6 year old boy who was abducted from a shopping mall in Hollywood, Florida, in July 1981. His disappearance sparked a massive search, but his severed head was found two weeks later in a nearby canal. The case remained unsolved for years until serial killer Ottis Toole confessed to the murder, although his confession was later recanted. Toole was never convicted for Adam's murder. Adam’s parents John and Reve Walsh, turned their heartbreak in action and forever changed how the world would see child abductions and how law enforcement agencies would respond.
