The Alchemy of the Dialectic

It is also fundamentally Sociological Alchemy, as the Soviets both knew and admitted. Based on Marx's ideas about dialectical materialism as the fundamental law of all of Nature, including Man, the Soviets outlined three key dialectical laws and taught them to every school child and party member. First, there is the transformation of quantity into quality, and vice-versa. Second, there is the struggle and unification of opposites. Third, there is the "negation of the negation," which most people know as "problem, reaction, solution" in practice. How "Woke Right" Beats the Dialectic

It used to be called the "Alt Right," and the Left used that term to mount a successful defense and even recruitment campaign for their causes (remember: Joe Biden ran for president and "won" based on Leftist reaction to the Alt Right). Another, better, term for the phenomenon is the "Woke Right." It is not just more accurate and true, it is also strategic. The Hard Truth About Struggle Sessions

Even though we're starting to understand what they are and how to deal with them, they're still coming, sometimes with very high stakes. The point of a struggle session, ultimately, is to get you to confess to made-up crimes on contrived terms that you and others will adopt as a result of confessing. The hard truth of the struggle session is that there's no coming back from capitulating to one. People can understand the pressures and the evil of the dynamic, but you still show yourself and those in your corner that under pressure you are faithless. Meanwhile, bystanders accept your confession as proof of your guilt, which not only places you in the category of criminal in their minds but also justifies the contrived terms upon which you were accused. Finally, your tormenter who is struggling you just knows they can break you, so they'll continue to do so, mocking you that your confession wasn't sincere enough. It's losing all the way around. It's bargaining away part of your soul for reprieve that you won't really get. The Dialectic of Social-Emotional Learning

The revolution must be perpetual, and the advances of yesterday are the new right wing of today. This is true even in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), which has now already developed through several different iterations and implementation styles to arrive at CASEL's "systemic" implementation of "Transformative Social-Emotional Learning," which is explicitly Freirean and Marxist. Even though it only emerged in 2019, by the next year, radicals in education were already writing "radical reports" (a "radport") about how it doesn't go nearly far enough and is "white supremacy with a hug." Instead, they recommended something far, far more explicitly Communist called "Culturally Affirming SEL." In 2021, they had already begun petitioning Biden's Department of Education to incorporate Culturally Affirming SEL and its "SEL demands," adapted explicitly from the Black Panther Party, into US education as soon as possible. As you'll hear, it doesn't even mention academic competency at all!
