Christmas season is one of the most celebrated holidays in the Dominican Republic for the recognition of Christ's birth and the craving of togetherness within different family members, who leave everything behind on that day to come together and celebrate with a HUGE feast, such as lechón asao' (pernil), arroz con guandules, ensalda de papas, pasteles en hojas, frutas(manzanas, uvas), coquito, vino rojo, telera( large sub bread), espageti, dulces y pollo horneado y por último, un aguirnaldo de música navideña que deja boquiabierto a cualquiera, cuando pasa por las calles del pueblo. A celebration that does not end until January 6 with the Reyes Magos' recognition. ¿Pero será esa la navidad de los que vivimos en los estados unidos?Stay tune for more........
