Chad Johnson
Oh, we got some football now. George Kittle issues a warning for any team interested in signing Brandon Auk. Yeah, last time I saw Auk was call it week six, seven or eight. I don't really know. I used to make it a habit of mine to go out early in the mornings before meetings to watch him train because he always be out there early. And I watched him run over 22 miles an hour and stop on a dime. So he still got it. Or at least that was a year, eight months ago. So I don't really know. But you guys have fun with that. I guess you have fun with all that comes with it. OO yes, sir. He had another IG live something where he's supposed to go. Command. Yeah, Commander.
Uncle Murder
Right.
Chad Johnson
What, what are we supposed to do with this?
Uncle Murder
OO I, I, I, I don't know. I, I don't know. I think if anything, I doubt the commanders are talking to him right now. The 49ers still have his rights, so if anything, he's just throwing out hints on where he would like to go by saying, you know, come on, commanders. I mean, it's a tough situation. It is one that I understand how precious the game is. I understand how fast the game goes by. I understand also how fast the game will leave you behind.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Uncle Murder
And showing you that you were never bigger than the program, it's happened to some of the best. It happened to me. It happened to Antonio Brown. It happened to Randy Moss. It happened to Jerry Rice. It happens to all of us. So I, I think as these years go on and as these years pass by, I, I, I, I would hate for Brandon, I, you to look back and think about the time that he wasted playing the game when he had the leverage. Right now, you had the leverage. It feels good. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
I mean, it does right now, but it's going to come a time, you
Chad Johnson
ain't gonna have the leverage, and you're gonna be gone.
Uncle Murder
Yeah, you, you're gonna be gone. So, so right now I want him to maximize the opportunity that he has right now and take advantage of that. You know, he, a young bull can play. He know he can play. And I would love to see him on the team and healthy and contributing on someone's offense and doing what he does best, and that's run routes and give people hell defensively.
Chad Johnson
I think the thing is, this goes back to. They didn't want to pay him. He ended up getting paid. He still harbors some of that. Y' all didn't think I was. Y' all didn't think I was worth the money that I was asking for. Reported the Steelers wanted to trade for him. They shot that down. 49ers dead. They end up eventually paying him. Maybe he's not happy with the money that he got. Ocho, we always think we're worth more than what we get.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Anyway, he got it. He got. He got them. He got the money. He signed the contract. He was cool with that. Yeah. And then he gets injured.
Podcast Host (My Favorite Murder - Karen or Georgia)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Tough.
Chad Johnson
If I was already hesitant to give you a chunk of change, and then you get hurt within six, five months of me giving you that chunk of change, Ocho, I'm going to feel some type of way.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You know what, Ocho? She's like, you know what, Ocho? If you don't marry me, I'm telling you what you need to marry me. You apprehensive. You're like, ah, yeah. I mean, I like you and I really appreciate, you know, but
Uncle Murder
it's always a big but.
Chad Johnson
Yes, Go ahead. You know what? You been here, you know, when I ain't really have a whole lot. We done accomplish some stuff together. I'm gonna put a ring on it. You put the ring on it?
Uncle Murder
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
Then you get a call. Hey, Oo, man. Oh, you still with old girl?
Uncle Murder
Oh, this, this. Hey, this where your heart drop when you get that call like that. Hey, the heart drop.
Chad Johnson
I. I saw her ducked off in the cut. Oh, oh, oh, You already didn't want to give it a ring now, you said, you know what? I do damn. Well, I shouldn't have gave her that damn ring.
Uncle Murder
One, one, one thing. Hey, fellas, this is a small example. I know it's even though a hypothetical coming from up, huh? Always trust your gut instincts.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
If you feel it. If you feel it. Come on now. Yeah, yeah. You ain't got to be.
Chad Johnson
And so I think. I think that's the thing is. And you know, some. But here's the thing, Ocho. If you know somebody wants to fire you.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
Guess what I'm not gonna do, give you a reason to find me.
Sleep Apnea PSA Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I know you want to take my money. I know you want to recoup some of this money. I'm gonna go there, rehab Every day. Every day. I'm gonna go in there.
Uncle Murder
Yeah. Hey, hey, Unc. Something happened internally. We just don't know what it is. There's no way that a player. You don't come from money. You wasn't rich. You got rich because of obviously the services that you provided. And they compensated you for your services and you give the money back.
Chad Johnson
Nope.
Uncle Murder
Something we don't know happened. Players don't do that. You don't do that. It never happens. Like, he has to be. He was really fed up. I just don't know what it was.
Chad Johnson
I ain't gonna be that fed up. And, and, and, and, and like I said, that was, you know, he, he was still feeling some type of way Ocho. That I had to wait this long to get my money. Maybe I didn't get what I thought. They end up giving him the money, he gets hurt. Yeah. We should have trusted our gut. And now they got buyer's remorse. He don't. He didn't want to be there. I. I got to take this money. They're not going to trade me. They didn't trade me.
Uncle Murder
Right.
Chad Johnson
And as my grandpa said, boy, that's a match made in hell. And it is. And here we are. They're not. They got the upper hand. They boarded all the money. All the money that you're supposed to get, Ocho. They boarded it.
Uncle Murder
And you know, and listen. And you got to be. You got. You also got to be careful because they're all band together, you know, they all band together and won't give you no job at all. Hey, come on now.
Chad Johnson
They sure will, young man. Get it together, Brandon. Get it together. Michael Parsons is now expected to miss at least half the season. According to reports, Michael could miss significantly more time than many initially expected as he continued recovering from a torn ACL he suffered late in the season. For a Green Bay team that invested two first round picks and a record setting contract in the superstar pass Russia, the latest projection is far from ideal. Isn't that what his brother put out? Ojo?
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
What did I tell you about family members?
Uncle Murder
Always. Every time. Why they can't. Why they can't do this, huh?
Chad Johnson
I don't know, man.
Uncle Murder
I don't. I don't know why they.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Jeez,
Chad Johnson
You got one job. Be Michael Parson. Little brother or big brother? That's the only job you got, right?
Uncle Murder
Damn.
Chad Johnson
That's his only job? If the packers want to release that information.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Which they're not. You know, teams don't release any damn thing.
Uncle Murder
Never. Especially Nothing like that.
Chad Johnson
No, I don't. I. I'm sure you love your brother. Your brother loves you. But something should remain between you and your brother. The general public should not know this information.
Uncle Murder
Right.
Chad Johnson
If it comes to a. We know he. We. We had a good idea that he's probably going to start on the pub.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Coming off an injury like that. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. And we'll play it from everybody there. That's it, Charles, the only job. It'd be your little brother.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You ain't got no more. He got another job. My sister be my big sister. My mom be my mom. That's it. We don't need to tell you, man. I think the Broncos. I think the Ravens go do. Really?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
No.
Chad Johnson
Put on the jersey. Put the sharp jersey on and go to the game. I just. I just don't get this. And that's why. And that's why Ocho, you know, I say, whether you want to believe it or not, anytime a family member speak, the people. Where do you. Where do you think he got that information from? Ocho? Chad, Where y' all think he got. Where do you think Michael Parsons got that information from? That they're potentially his brother or would miss half the season? Where do y' all think he got the information from? That's why you don't talk. Anything you say. If Chauncey would have said something.
Uncle Murder
Right.
Chad Johnson
Ocho told him. Family, friends, and loved ones, when they're close to and they speak, people are going to listen for the simple fact. That information that they're talking about. Oh, they got that from Ocho. I. I just. I. I don't. I don't know the good that he thought that was gonna. That. How did. How does that help Michael's rehab? How does that help the Packers? Because at the end of the day, that's what it's. That's what it's about. Everything. My whole focus.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
How do I help Sterling Sharp? How do I help the packers keep my damn mouth shut?
Uncle Murder
Mm. Damn. My goddamn Michael, man. I wish he hadn't got hurt. Well, he was. Well, you know, he had 12 and a half sacks.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, he. He was. He had just started to get. He was starting to. This is why they paid him.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
What was that game? He had had, like three or four sacks, and he closed the game. This is why you paid Michael Parsons? Yo.
Uncle Murder
When he chased the quarterback down.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Uncle Murder
I forgot what game.
Chad Johnson
This is why you paid him. He was just starting to. To, like, look like Michael. Starting to look like. Okay, okay, okay, okay. And I Be damn praying for you, bro. Keep, hey, keep your head up. Keep working hard. All you can do is rehab and come back stronger. According to the athletic, Kyler Murray has had some growing pains learning the playbook and scheme in Minnesota. Everything here revolves around the quarterback. And the most notable aspect of workout was Kyler's progression in Kevin o' Connell system. The Vikings didn't dumb it down. The complexity for Murray. If anything, the team installed the full breadth of concepts and play calls to challenge Murray. He looked uncomfortable at times working his way through the lengthy verbiage downfield route distribution. But the Vikings believe that this will be the best long best in the long run. The competition with JJ McCarthy will continue in the training camp barring a major setback. In terms of health or scheme understanding, the platform should exist for Murray to prove he deserves to be the starting job in this offense. With the loads of weapons, it's tough on a quarterback to learn a new system.
Uncle Murder
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Seriously, all that damn verbiage. Completely different.
Chad Johnson
Now you got to learn the verbiage. Now you got like. Or maybe you may have to shift the line. Now you got the concept down the field. 1, 2, 3, check down.
Uncle Murder
You know, it take about a year or two for a quarterback to be extremely comfortable and know everything like the back of his hand.
Chad Johnson
And when he does that, what is he doing, Ocho? He taking all the reps. Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Yeah. And I don't. I don't like the fact that they're still calling the quarterback competition. It's not a quarterback competition. They. They. Listen, they. They bought Kyler Murray in there to start because we know what J.J. mcCarthy gave us. We got a small sample size of it. And the small sample size that we did get, it ain't happening. It's not gonna get us nowhere.
Chad Johnson
That's why Kyler Murray's here.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Guess what? They ain't got no quarter. They ain't got brought no quarterback in in Denver to challenge Bo Nicks. They ain't bringing no quarterback in to challenge Jordan Love. They ain't bring no quarterback in to challenge Caleb Wilson. They ain't bring no quarterback in to challenge the guy up in. In New England, Drake May. Yeah, Drake May. When they bring a quarterback in to challenge you. We saw that last year in Indy. And guess what? They brought the quarterback in the challenge. And guess who. Who got the job Ocho got. Yeah.
Uncle Murder
When it came in. Hold on and look, Michael.
Chad Johnson
You on deck. You play baseball, right? You on deck.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey.
Chad Johnson
Oh, you think they brought two in?
Uncle Murder
You think two are gonna start over. Michael Pennant Jr.
Chad Johnson
They didn't bring him in to back up. It's easy month because Ocho, I got to figure out this man Gonna, this is third year. This man gonna want 200 billion. This man want 250.
Uncle Murder
330 already.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yes.
Uncle Murder
Golly Chad, who gonna start tour or pinnocks chat what y' all think?
Chad Johnson
Let me pay the little $2 million to tour. I'd rather play $2 million to tour and say okay, tour you start as opposed to let Michael and I have to like oh man, we gotta pay this man 300 million and then get in the middle of it like oh man, this is a terrible mistake.
Uncle Murder
So. So they did the Falcons basically right back at square one.
Chad Johnson
I said that for a.
Uncle Murder
Hold on a long term answer at that, at that position.
Chad Johnson
It didn't make sense to me. Sign first cousins. It didn't make sense to me. You signed first cousin, you gave him this money. He's coming off an Achilles injury now mind you, he, he was never mobile
Uncle Murder
and he was just less mobile with the injury.
Chad Johnson
Okay, that being said and you go drive. Guess what? You draft a quarterback that has an injury history and hell he's already 24. How was Penny? He was laughing at 23:24 when he got drafted. It didn't make any sense. It didn't make sense to me then, it doesn't make sense to me now. But guess what, you're stuck. And just think Atlanta Falcon, you could have put two first round picks on. So let me ask you a question. Tell me the two first round picks since Lamar Jackson was. Had those tags on him that you take over him. You could add Lamar Jackson. See the thing is sometimes you got to put somebody under the gun. Everybody talking about where they know they're not gonna, they're not gonna put no two first rounders. Put them on and see if they match. Cause they got a match or he's yours. So would you rather have Lamar Jackson right now finishing up that deal at $50 million a year or you rather be going flip flopping back with Michael Pennix Jr. Tour and had Kirk Cousins Chad, which would you rather have? Lamar Jackson or you rather have Kirk cousins, Michael Pennix Jr. Or two of which would you have rather had?
Uncle Murder
Hey, and that's a small example too that I just mentioned about. About the good boys colluding against you. That situation with Lamar. Yeah, when, when he had opportunity with teams and anybody that really needed quarterback that came and got him. But everybody sat back and had the nerve to Say, oh, no, we good. Especially Arthur Blank. Like, come on.
Chad Johnson
But they had the mo. The memo. D. Smith. There was a memo floating around, right? Stand down.
Uncle Murder
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Chad Johnson
But we gotta. We got. We gotta stay on the good side. We can't.
Uncle Murder
Yes, sir.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Yes, sir.
Uncle Murder
My bad, my bad, my bad, my bad, my bad.
Chad Johnson
But I, I can assure you, everybody in Atlanta, and I said it at the time, you get Michael Vick 3.0 with Lamar Jackson in that building on that turf, that fan base. Oh, my goodness. Can you chat. Can y' all imagine Lamar Jackson in that building on that turf with that fan base with y'? All?
Uncle Murder
Hey, it'd be.
Chad Johnson
And you wouldn't even put two. Two first round picks.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Two.
Chad Johnson
If Lamar Jackson is what. Lamar Jackson is, guess what those picks are going to be in the twenties.
Uncle Murder
Damn. Just the thought of that. You get. You had Michael Vick and you get lamar Another experience. 2.0. That's what I would call it. Because that might. That Michael Vick, that Michael Vick era was. It was an experience. You had to be there. It's like going. It's like going to the. It's like going to the fair. Ain't no telling what's gonna happen. Yeah, but it's gonna be exciting.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, that. Hey,
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
who ha.
Chad Johnson
And the fair get better every year. I can't. I couldn't believe Atlanta didn't put that tag on him. I'm gonna put him under the gun. All they can do is match it. They can. All they could do is say no. We gonna. We gonna put. We gonna pay him, right? Put two first. Hey, we're gonna put it. Hey, we gotta offer 250, 265. I put a poison pill in it. I would. I put a poison pill in it right out of guarantee the whole contract with a no trade. That's how you do. You put that poison pill when you don't want somebody to match it, right? I put that poison pill in there.
Uncle Murder
Damn. 265 with no trade clause
Chad Johnson
fully guaranteed. Then Lamar would have got this opportunity to see how. Because, see, he's like, hold on. All these other quarterbacks, ain't nobody, Ain't nobody had to go. Like I had to go, right? Joe got his money, Herbert got his money. Lawrence got his money. Josh Allen got his money. Man, they don't gave my homeboy two contracts. And I understand that. I understand. So I'm gonna say, let you know what, As a matter of fact, don't even bring my homeboy up because he's set to aside.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
But guess what? Last I checked, Josh Allen ain't been in a Super Bowl. Neither has Trevor Lawrence, neither has Justin Herbert. So I'm just trying to figure out why I got to go through all this to get my money. That's how Lamar's look. I'm telling you how he's looking at it.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
That he's gonna be the consummate pro. Hey, it's gonna get done when it gets done. I'm out here to do my job. I have an agent who happens to be his mom. Hey, they're gonna the Ravens and everything gonna take care of itself. Why we.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Wow.
Chad Johnson
First of all, why are we having a conversation? We should be talking about this new offense, not whether or not if and when I'm gonna get a no.
Uncle Murder
He gonna get it before the season start. I could tell you that.
Chad Johnson
I hope so, Because you see the market now. My homeboy, 64 million. Lamar looking at that, say, I want 65.
Uncle Murder
You want. You want to reset the market.
Chad Johnson
That's how he's thinking. That's how his agent is thinking right now. 64 ain't gonna last forever. No, because you got Joe Burrow could do what Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow going back to the table next year. Yeah, Joe bro. Ho. Dak Prescott do what they think they're gonna do. Dak Prescott's going back to the table, right? Oh, ain't nobody sitting pat. Gonna be very interesting to see how this thing plays out. But me, personally, I kind of thought Kyler would kind of be more in the catbird seat right now. Ocho, I understand that. Look, it's OTAs. But. The question is, Given his history, huh? Does he understand how to study? Not to say he's not smart from a quarterback perspective, right?
Uncle Murder
Especially going through.
Chad Johnson
Imagine when the offense ain't built for you. You got to learn a totally. You got Ocho. Just think, you got to go to a foreign land, and you ain't got no interpreter.
Uncle Murder
You gotta start from scratch. Boy, that's difficult.
Chad Johnson
No, no, no, no, no. This. What is this called? That's the thing. That's the thing. It's people like. Cuz, I didn't. Oh, yo, we didn't have. We didn't really have film study. We just had plays call out the players.
Onplus Nicotine Pouches Announcer
We run.
Chad Johnson
I didn't know how to study. I didn't know what I'm like. Okay, man, what am I. What am I looking at, right? Man, I just see people running, riding, and they throwing the ball. What. What. What's going On. So who am I supposed to watch? I'm supposed to watch the offense or the defense. I know. No, you watching the defense. Okay. He threw in the ball, he tackled him. What I'm supposed to look at. No, you're supposed to look at the coverage they're in. How do I know that? There ain't nobody say that. I don't got no sound on you. How the hell I'm supposed to know what coverage they in? They ain't tell me nothing. You have to learn all of that.
Uncle Murder
Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson
It wasn't until Coach Reeves says, Shannon, the front. A lot of times the front will tell you the coverage because they're going to play a certain coverage behind a certain front. So if you can understand the front, it'll give you a head start on the coverage. So they in an underfront or they in an over front, or they're in a 3 4. Because when they're in the 3 4, they like to play these couple of coverages. Now you got to look at. Where are they on the field? Where are we on the field? They like to play this coverage from, say, the 20 to the 50. They like to play this coverage from the 50 to the 20. They like to play this coverage inside the 20. Going in. Okay, now you gotta look at. For what formation are you in? Are you in? 21 personnel, two wide receivers, a tight end, two running backs. Are you in? 12 personnel
Uncle Murder
are.
Chad Johnson
So once he. Once they broke it down like that, I'm like, okay, okay. Oh, you couldn't tell me that? Don't you. Oh, yeah. I know what y' all in now. I know what y' all did.
Uncle Murder
Hey, that's one. That's one of the greatest feelings in the world.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Is it?
Uncle Murder
Come. Come out that huddle and see whether it's a 1 high safety or 2 high safety. And all that bluffing and all that coming down and acting like you coming, man, get on out of here, man. I already know what it is. Let's go.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, I don't care. All that bouncing around, bro. Stop that. You ain't coming. All you doing is making yourself tired in Mile High. Back on up. Cause you finish. All you finna do is drop to the hook, man, how you. Cause why would you come in that safety still way back there? You think that safety gonna just let me take off the ball and just turn around and he pop it to me? Absolutely not.
Uncle Murder
Not.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. Cause if you was coming, he'd have been bringing his funky ass down. And since he didn't, as a matter of fact y' all going to the other side cause he about to go to the middle of the field. We having a whole conversation. Ocho you not coming. How you know Sharp. How you know? Well, first of all you talking to me. That's one of the reason I know.

Podcast Host (My Favorite Murder - Karen or Georgia)
Goodbye.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
AJ Brown has been impressed by Drake May. I think what's most impressive to me is that he knows what he's doing. I really admire that he knows what he's talking about and he demands everyone else know as well. He's a true leader of men.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
And a little shot, a little low key.
Chad Johnson
I was about to ask Ocho because I know. Ocho, Ocho, what you think? It don't show Tim what you think.
Uncle Murder
Hey, Kenny. Kenny. Can he not give his quarterback? Can he not. He was asked a question. Allow him to be able to answer the quarterback and give his quarterback praise. That's all you know they gonna say
Chad Johnson
why he didn't get his other quarterback praise like that?
Uncle Murder
Yeah, he gotta be directed him and the other quarterback that won the super
Chad Johnson
bowl, you know, did he. Did he say he know what he doing?
Uncle Murder
And aj hold on. Jaylen Hurst know what he doing? He got a ring.
Chad Johnson
I didn't. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey.
Chad Johnson
So, so. So let's just say for the sake of arg.
Uncle Murder
He talk about Drake May.
Chad Johnson
Hold on.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Let Me finish.
Chad Johnson
Oh, joke.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Focus.
Chad Johnson
Hey, so let's just say, for the sake of argument, if we just do a hypothetical here. Oh, cowboy. You know you a cowboy. Y' all don't see eye to eye anymore. If you say to that guy, oh, I owe him. Oh, he know what he doing. He a real man, ain't they? Don't shot at me.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey.
Chad Johnson
Oh, she. Hey, he talking. Can she give up new man credit?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Podcast Host (My Favorite Murder - Karen or Georgia)
No.
Uncle Murder
Yeah, I think.
Chad Johnson
Hey, Joe, look at it, Joe. Joe, look at it, Joe. It is what it is.
Uncle Murder
It is.
Chad Johnson
Look, it seems to me, Ocho, after peeling about some layers and allegedly what transpired, I don't know how true it is. And we got to say, allegedly, there's no love lost between. And everything that he's. Everything that he says is going to be split, sliced, right, dissected.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Autopsy.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You know, from above.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
He would ask a question about his quarterback, what his quarterback looks like. He's been there maybe a week, a week and a half now, maybe two weeks, and he wants. He wants to know how things look. And obviously, you know, we've seen Drake May play last year. He's a very, very good quarterback. I think.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
He is.
Chad Johnson
He is.
Uncle Murder
If he continues to have another season like he had last year, we're going to have to have conversations about him being in the top 10, which some might put him in right now with consistency. So, I mean, A.J. brown, he's working with a new quarterback, and he was asked what it's like playing with him. He just gave an honest answer, that's all.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Come on, man.
Chad Johnson
But you know how it is, don't, yo? You got to be real. Hey, you got to be real careful.
Sleep Apnea PSA Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Because when you went. When you went and played with Tom, you knew that anything that you said to pray, you had to be very, very careful because it was going to be taken as a shot that you was taking at Carson. Yeah, I knew that.
Podcast Host (My Favorite Murder - Karen or Georgia)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You know how the one thing. Let's see. Y' all let Ocho fool. Y'.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
All.
Chad Johnson
Ocho play dumb sometime on television. I know you ain't done.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, he. He know how to do that.
Chad Johnson
Hey, man. Oh, you. Come on, now.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, hey.
Uncle Murder
You gotta understand, I'm extremely media savvy when that camera.
Chad Johnson
Exactly.
Uncle Murder
And I'm asked certain questions. I know how to play that game.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Yes.
Chad Johnson
Look, look, look.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, hey. When I got traded from Atlanta and went to Brooklyn, I'm playing with Darren Williams. Jeff Teague even talked about it. I was like, damn, I'm getting a chance to play with her all star caliber point guard. A hell of a point guard. T took offense to that. Yes, he said he took offense to that, Ocho. That I said that I was going to play with a hell of a pg. Yeah, he took offense to it. And this is my man's. Yeah. You feel me? So y' all can say what y' all want. Jalen Hurst gonna take offense to that, bro. Now, he may not come out publicly and say it, but it's human nature, bro.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. What? Hey, when they asked me a quarterback, what I always say, Ocho, what quarterback would I say?
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Who?
Chad Johnson
The top quarterback. What I say, Ain't no damn fool. Hey, damn. They tell me what I had. They tell me the plays I had to run. They throw me no touchdown. I ain't catch one pass from them.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I wish I might put somebody in front of seven. I don't give a damn what they say. I don't care what their numbers are. Somebody can have a thousand touchdown passes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
In a hundred passing yards.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
A hundred thousand passing yards. Excuse me. Nope. That's why you have to be very, very careful of what you say you do, because you listen. We and I just having a conversation. You know how everybody else gonna take it. Y' all can say I'm messy all you want to, but I'm telling you, Joe said it, I said it, Ocho said it.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
That you have to be careful.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
It's a slippery slope, and it's very. Is it a slippery. So some of the players, when you ask them questions, they don't understand that slope. Nope, they don't understand it. They just answer. Question the question harmlessly, not understanding how media pundits and those that. That hear the way it's answered, and they're going to intertwine it and say, well, hell, you take. Are you taking a shot at your old quarterback?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
That's exactly what they go say, Ocho.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
They said the same thing as a. Look, man, look, I. I appreciate Dan Reed. Dan Reeves drafted me, but if y' all want me to say something bad about Dan, that ain't gonna happen. That man gave me an opportunity.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Right. Thanks.
Chad Johnson
I said, hey, he was smart enough to draft me, but somehow he forgot to cut me. I wish I might say something. Kick rocks.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
If one thing. If I ain't nothing else, I'm gonna be loyal to the people that gave me an opportunity, man. Man, that goes without saying.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Everybody don't operate like that, though.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, that's. That's. That's the problem, though, Joe. I know that's always. That's all. That's been my problem.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Cause I try to see the good in everybody, and I. And I do believe that there is good in everybody. But. But that good might be so far down and that bad so far up by the time you get to the good. Hey, they done did a number on you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
I know what you mean, boy. Experiences, boy. I'm talking about. I done been there. I'm talking about dealing with some people. I swear, I wish I'd never even talked to them. You hear me?
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yes. Yes. Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
Chad Johnson
But you know what, Joe? No good deed goes unpunished.
Uncle Murder
Hey, you ain't never lied about that.
Chad Johnson
No good deed goes unpunished, man. But I just. It just. It's just. It's just hard for me in a situation, Ocho, when I've had such great success.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
With an individual. It's just. It's just hard for me to just. No matter how it ends. And I get to Skip, bro, prior to me, nobody, no athlete had ever done a debate. They had segments. A basketball guy come talk basketball.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Football guy would come talk football. They'd bring somebody in to talk golf. They bring somebody in to talk this 10 or X, Y, and Z. I was the only one to sit across from a journalist five days a week, two and a half hours a day. Even when Fox said, no, we want to get a journalist, Skip says, no, he can do it. I want him to sit across from me.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. It's hard for me to let a few bad episodes of him and I. Letting our emotions get the best of us. Ruin seven years. Yeah. That's just me. You might ask him, he might feel a totally different way. But I'm talking about me. That man believed in me.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
Me.
Chad Johnson
That man rolled for me. And that man wasn't going to take the job until they said, hey, I want him.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And he wanted me. After one time, I did one show across from Skip. One show at first take with no producers, no runners. It's just. It's like, well, you. You need to think. I said, no, I'm good. What you want to talk about? Whatever he want to talk about.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
We end up going through production meetings. I'm giving my feedback. He's like, you gonna say that on there? I say, I absolutely gonna say it over there, too. Might add a little bit more to it. Absolutely. So I'm forever, forever grateful for the opportunity because I'm not here I don't have this. If Skip doesn't get allow me on his platform and allow me to be me. Cause that was the thing. He says, be you, be you. I don't think he thought me what really came with me.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Until it was too late. And everybody was too late. Everybody loved it.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Yeah. He didn't.
Chad Johnson
I mean, he didn't think the gold. I didn't think the gold master. I mean, when I showed up with the stocking cap and the black and Miles, and I'm like, this was a one time thing. It went by crazy.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And then I showed up with the goat mask.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And it went crazy again, man. Look, like I said, we have. We had a couple of bad shows where we allowed our emotions to get the best of us, but two shows, three shows, four shows, bro. We doing 200 shows a year. Yeah, we did 200 shows a year. We took two weeks off. We got two weeks off. We going five days a week. So at work, maybe we have. We went dark. They had something. They had World cup or they had nascar, but for the most part, we going every day. We did 250 shows a year.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
And
Chad Johnson
minus the week, minus the two weeks we got off, that's the. Minus the two weeks. Okay.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Whoo.
Chad Johnson
There it is. So out of 250 shows a year, seven so out of fifth, damn near 15, 1600 shows. We have four bad days. But it gave me the platform and people got an opportunity to see me in a totally different light. They got an opportunity to see. Well, damn, he do know stuff. Yeah, man, he can talk about anything. Because I knew I. I had to succeed or they gonna say, well, hell, if he couldn't do it as much as they say, he studied who can do it.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Right. Right.
Chad Johnson
And then the Colin Kaepernick. Most people didn't want to touch it. Skip's like, hey, can you talk about this? I said, absolutely. We have the Terence Crutcher. Can you talk about that? Can you have. Talk about Eric Gardner? Can you talk about Sandra Blair? Can you talk about George Floyd?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Absolute Walter Scott. Yes, Yes, I can talk. I would love to. Glad that you asked. I' ma put this old history degree in this black college. I would put this. I would put it to use. I didn't think I was gonna have to put that to use. Joe and Ocho.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Oh, okay.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I bullied y'. All. I can make fun of you. I got, I got jokes, got that. That's a part of me.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
But when it comes time to get serious and we talk about a serious subject. Absolutely. Yeah. But I. And I told Skip, as I. The last. I remember the last day, because I knew I wasn't gonna come back in
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
March,
Chad Johnson
and it asked me. I said, look, I'm gonna finish. Let me finish what I started. I said, it's not gonna look good if I leave now. I'll finish.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Hey,
Chad Johnson
after the. After the NBA Finals, I'm out. Yeah, we gonna keep this thing. Hey, we gonna keep it going. I ain't got no. I ain't got no hard feelings. It is what it is. Plus, y' all owe me another year anyway.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
But, hey, bro, I'm cool. Hey, speaking of that, you see your girl tonight? Jenny Taffy. Commentating. She was a commentator.
Chad Johnson
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She don't let her hair grow. Not the whole team. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Get it from Minnie.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah,
Chad Johnson
man. She is as. Look, I've worked with. Of all the. All the moderators that we've had, obviously Joy and Jenny and Jen Hale. Uh, who else do we have? We had Oscar De La Hoya's girl, now Holly Saunders. And we have Pink. Christina Pink. We had Williams. I mean, we had so many. Ellis Elica Sadegi. We had Jamie Maggio. Huh? Jen Hale. Yeah. Yeah, Jen Hale. I mean, home team, if some. And look here, if somebody say something bad about Jenny Town, go ahead and call him a lie. For me, she is the sweetest, the humblest person. I. I mean, ain't got nothing bad to say about anybody, right? She is. She is amazing. And everybody that I work with was great. Don't get me wrong. Clarissa Thompson, all of them, they were great. But the home team.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah,
Chad Johnson
she amazing.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, she.
Chad Johnson
She's just a. She's just a good. That would. This. I guess what they say is true, because she's just a Midwestern. She's from Minnesota. She's just a Midwestern. Her parents come in town. I love. I want you to meet my parents. Her brother come in, Brown. Charlie met her husband. I mean, she's just a great, great person. And I. It was. It was great. I mean, everybody. I mean, from the stage manager to the makeup to every. It was great. My girl said, who was curated. Front Desk Edo. They were great. It was. It was great. That's what. Really. You know what?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I was gonna miss, you know, miss going back and forth with Skip because I was like, you know, who am I gonna. Who am I gonna debate with now? But it was just that relationship that you build up from props to wardrobe to camera to all of that man

Goodbye.
Chad Johnson
The NFL has informed teams that it will not be holding a supplemental draft, mooning that Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Swordsby will not be eligible to enter the NFL in 2026. The CBA allows league to decide whether to hold a supplemental draft and this year it won't. To sum up a letter sent to Brendan Sorsby Brendan Sorsby the league wasn't planning on having a supplemental draft this year and so Sorensby application was the only one they received. With Sorensby submitting only a handful of days ahead of the deadline, the NFL felt that it wasn't enough time to properly evaluate the the situation and didn't have time to complete the record of an NCAA investigation. The petition did not have any supporting information or documentation as to why Sourceby should be granted entry after being declared ineligible to play by college football. The lead did make it clear that it was very had real concerns regarding the pattern of improper gambling activity during sworesby collegiate career. The NFL used the word integrity several times within the letter and what appears to be an effort to drive home their stance on gambling. It closes the state by playing is a privilege and Sorsby should focus on preparing for a possible entry in 2027.
NBC News Announcer
Damn.
Uncle Murder
So what is it? Listen, I know he made a mistake. Well, it's not a mistake. I mean, well, everything's a mistake. He just did it multiple times, over and over, because nobody knew, nobody found out, obviously, until it was. It was too late. But what does he do now? Obviously.
Chad Johnson
Well, he didn't play in the NFL. He can go to college. He can go to Canada, play one.
Uncle Murder
Play one year in Canada. Yeah, who has. I wonder who has his rights? Because that would be a good thing to do instead of taking the whole year off. Go play again. Go play a year in Canada, boy. I mean, look, do that and get a better understanding on how good them boys is down there. Ain't gonna be no walk in the park, I can tell you that.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, all them boy down there, home ranger, man.
Uncle Murder
Hey, Joe, why went to Canada, boy? Thinking it was gonna be sweet.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, what happened, Ojo?
Chad Johnson
What were you.
Sleep Apnea PSA Announcer
Ojo?
Chad Johnson
Who you play for, man?
Uncle Murder
I was. I was in Montreal with Alawes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Okay.
Uncle Murder
Hey, hey, Joe. It was the wake up call every week, Joe, no matter who he was playing. I'm talking about Joe. I'm on the sideline confused, like, what the hell is y' all doing down here? Yeah, I'm talking about Joe like that, you know, so think about it like this. The NFL, NFL has this premier elite players. Every team has their elite players. Yeah, when we talk about your backups and your role players.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Well, hell, that could be anybody over there. You can. You can exchange players in Canada and put them on NFL team and you wouldn't know who's who outside. Outside of the elite players. Now, that's different. You know, your Jamar Chase, your Justin Jefferson, yeah. Burrows, that's different. But the rest of them boys down in Canada, man, stop playing.
Chad Johnson
They get down like that, Joe, I
Uncle Murder
swear, I wouldn't lie to you, especially when I want to come. No goddamn football. Them boys could play some ball, Joe. It either was politics or number crunching or I got in trouble in college.
Chad Johnson
I didn't get the opportunity because you remember Cameron Wake started off in Canada.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
In Miami. He ended up with 100 sacks.
Uncle Murder
Yeah. Hey, Joe. You talk about a humbling experience, Joe. Yeah, I mean, I'm already on. I'm already on the back end of my career anyway. You know, I wanted.
Chad Johnson
I think that had more to do with it than anything, Ocho. I don't think your heart was in it anymore.
Uncle Murder
You don't think so?
Chad Johnson
No, damn it.
Uncle Murder
It felt like it, huh?
Chad Johnson
It was. You might know. I keep. I shoot you straight. It wasn't Darwin anymore. His Heart wasn't in it.
Uncle Murder
Hey, Joe, I just want. I just wanted to finish on my terms, you know?
Chad Johnson
That's all you wanted to finish in your hometown. And when that got taken away. Yeah, you weren't the same.
Uncle Murder
Yeah, they took it away. I might still get opportunity. You never know.
Chad Johnson
We just hit your old ass down. We about to put. We about to put. We about to put your T shirt with all three our heads on it. You can sit your old ass down, man. The NCAA Division 1 cabinet has unanimously voted to approve its age eligibility model. This will grant athletes five years of eligibility over five seasons, notably eliminating red shirts and waivers. According to the NCAA Division 1, student athletes will receive five years of eligibility if they enroll in college no later than the academic year following their 19th birthday. Limited exceptions. Exceptions will be granted for factors such as religious missions like byu. Yeah, guys normally. Guys normally take a missionary trip. They have to go abroad for a year. Military services. You're in the army, you're in the Navy. You normally have to go do a beer. David a la David Robinson a la Roger Starbuck. Schools will have the flexibility regarding student athletes who have remaining eligibility after the current academic year. At the discretion of each school, these student athletes can either have an age based model applied to them or continue to follow the original NCAA eligibility rules. Look, I got. Look, I think. I think what happened is that Covid put this stuff in a table, man. We shouldn't have guys gotten. You shouldn't get six, seven, eight, nine years of eligibility, man. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, guys. I just can't. A guy. 27, 26, 27.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Oh, no.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, that Covid killed it, bro. Kobe killed it. Because a lot of cats went two years without playing and they still got that eligibility back.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yeah.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
And it's unfortunate. Cause we ain't come up like that, bro. No, you know what I mean? Think about it. You can still. Is it still that you can go to junior college for two years and still have four years of eligibility at a Power 5?
Chad Johnson
Ash. Did they put it in there? Okay, you go to junior college and still have four years. Because if you went to junior college for two, you had two left.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, that's how. But now. That's what I'm saying.
Tony Ayo (Boost Mobile Ad Host)
Now.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
It's been like, you could go to junior college, do two years at junior college, you still get a scholarship to go to a power five for four years.
Chad Johnson
Yes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
And that's how guys are starting to be 24, 25 years old.
Chad Johnson
Yeah. You know what I mean, man?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Listen, this is a professional sport now, Uncle Ocho. We don't want no 18, 19 year olds in here, man. Hey, hey, we don't want.
Uncle Murder
Hold on, Joe. We trying to win now. Yeah, we trying to win. Listen, if you can help us win, we gonna give you a little bag.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, if you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
The upper echelon, meaning like if you top 20, you know, as a freshman, you probably could go somewhere and play. But I'll say five star. But outside of that, bro, just a normal, regular old 19 year old who could play, man, please.
Chad Johnson
I mean, yeah, but it's. I mean, guys, 25, I'm. I'm out there, I'm 18, 19 and this guy 24, 25. Yeah, we paying.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
We paying too much money nowadays.
Uncle Murder
Damn.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, Joe, it's still. Following the recent landmark antitrust ruling and core actions such as Diego Pavia case against the ncaa, Time spent playing at junior college level does not count against your four years of NCAA eligibility. Thus effectively allows athletes to play two years of JUCO and then transfer. Excuse me, Play at juco and still maintain four full years of NCAA eligibility.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, so think about that. Think about you come out of high school and you ain't getting recruited.
Chad Johnson
For real, you, you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
You need to still develop mentally, physically, all that. And you can go to junior college for two years, prepare yourself and then look when you come out of junior college, uncle Ocho, you 21, 22 years old. Hell, you a grown ass man now.
Starbucks Tropical Butterfly Refresher Announcer
Yes.
Onplus Nicotine Pouches Announcer
Yeah.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
You don't think a power five gonna want you because you've been in the system already. Yeah, you know how to play, you
Chad Johnson
know what it takes.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
You know the grind. You know what I mean?
Chad Johnson
That's why they like, that's why they like. Joe. That's why they like guys, they like going into the portal because that guy already knows like what it's like to be a college. A student. College student athlete. Yeah, I guess we shouldn't call them students anymore. They call it. They call professional athletes now. They just happen to go to college. But yeah, I, I like. Come on now. I mean, they were, they were doing too much. These guys had 6, 7, 8, 9. Got 27, 28 playing college football. Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Hey, hey, what's young boy name from the Miami Hurricanes? The tight end. That was what. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson
He had eight in school. Like yo, like 27 this past year.
Uncle Murder
Yeah. Hey, yeah. Hey, hey, Joe, he been there for a minute, boy.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Damn.
Chad Johnson
He done had, he done red. He done red shirted medical. Red shirt, Covid. Red shirt.
Onplus Nicotine Pouches Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Hey, can y' all.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Imagine being 27 out there on a college field, the way y' all probably
Chad Johnson
cutting up in the league, bro, I couldn't imagine.
Uncle Murder
I would have scored 10 touchdowns, Joe.
Chad Johnson
I got to the league. I got to the league. I was 22. Cause I didn't. Red shirt.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And I was looking back, I was like, man, can you imagine if I was a College freshman at 22, what I would do to these kids?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Right?
Chad Johnson
I did this at 18. I did this at 18. 19. Can you imagine, Joe? Can you imagine your first two years in the NBA? You a college student?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, I probably. I averaged about 28 a game.
Karen or Georgia from My Favorite Murder
What?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
It's just so much that you learn,
Chad Johnson
bro, when you go pro.
Uncle Murder
I was getting ready to say that
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
you learn so much of the nuances of the game, like how to. How to make the game easier for yourself.
Chad Johnson
You, you, you, you, you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
You learn great work habits, you know? And mentally, bro, you just. In a whole. A totally different space, man. That's why when you look at when I be watching college basketball, I'm like, man, boy, if it was like this when I was playing, damn.
Chad Johnson
But I think the thing is, guys, we were now because the guy, they make money, Joe. Ain't nobody really, unless you like the top, top guys. Ain't nobody trying to leave. Oh, so I'm trying to keep getting that little one, Little, little five hundred thousand million dollars. We would try. The only way you get that kind of money, you had to go professional. Now you're getting professional money in college.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Hey, hey. And guess what? After. After your duration in college, that's it. A lot of them guys ain't gonna never play the game again, whether it's basketball, football. So you better take advantage of it while you young.
Chad Johnson
You know what I mean?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Everybody ain't gonna make it to the pros, Uncle Ocho.
Chad Johnson
Nope.
NBC News Announcer
So if.
Chad Johnson
Hey, if I can make me a couple of million dollars before I get there and give me a head start on the. On life.
Uncle Murder
Oh, yeah.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hello.
Uncle Murder
Hey, hold on. If I don't make it.
Chad Johnson
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If I don't make it, give me a head start on life.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Hello?
Chad Johnson
Ocho. We have some very Sad News. Former NFL pass rusher Alden Smith has passed away at just six years of age. 49. Has released a statement. We are devastated by the sudden and tragic passing of Alden Smith. Alden, undeniably talent ensure dominance on the field, were on display from the moment he joined our organization. Having recorded one of the best rookie season in NFL Football League history. Beyond his excellence as a player, Alden will be remembered for his infectious smile that lit up every room he walked in. Our entire organization sends its deepest condolences to the Smith family and all that knew and loved Alden. In 2024, Smith had attempted to turn his own struggles into a method of helping young athletes adjust to the pressures and pitfalls of such a high profile job. He began the project called I am loading with I am mean intelligent movement. The goal was to offer mentorship, recovery coaching for those who had endured similar life challenges that off season. He also served as a mentor to the rookie classes of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Loss and the Oakland, excuse me, the Las Vegas Raiders. Appearing on the Keyshawn Johnson's podcast, All facts, no breaks. June 24, Smith told Johnson he was hoping his journey could be a cautionary tale for young players trying to make their way. Alden Smith, dead at the age of 36.
Uncle Murder
Have we found out what the cause was? No, not yet. Huh.
Chad Johnson
I was reading they say when he arrived at the hospital he was doa with doa.
Uncle Murder
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
I don't know. Obviously we know some struggles that he had.
Uncle Murder
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
You know, we were just hoping all for the best he had. I mean, what he have 33 and a half sacks in his first 32 games. He was on a, he was on a Reggie White historic pace.
NBC News Announcer
Yes.
Chad Johnson
And the demons got a hold of him and he couldn't shake him. And I don't know, as the statement read, my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family and all the loved ones and everybody that knew Alden Smith.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
It's just, it's just, it's just sad. It's just sad. 36 years of age. 36 life. Oh, you don't know. You don't, you don't know the demons that a person going through. You don't know what a person is dealing with. You don't, you know. And a lot of times, you know, Man, you are. Yeah, I'm good. I. Are you really good, though? Nope. Are you really good? I, you know, it's a lot of
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
people say that because they don't want to be a burden, bro.
Chad Johnson
They don't. They don't, Joe. They don't. And I, I, I, I, I feel very privileged that every time Burns called me, he'll ask, homeboy, you good? I said, yeah, I'm good. He said, homeboy, you really good now or you just, are you just telling me that right? So I'm good.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Because this time I'm really good. I I they say we create our demons.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson
Only we can chase them away.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
That's the hard part, though, the chasing away part.
Chad Johnson
Because, Ocho, every day for the rest of your life, just imagine you being on parole for the rest of your life, you being on probation for the rest of your life. If you got an addiction, if you got an alcohol addiction, whatever it is, you got to go every day and not partake. I've got to drive by a bar, I've got to drive by a liquor store. I got to drive a convenience store. And if I go in the convenience store and I get a drink or I get a honey bun of potato chips, I've got to walk by the beer section, I got to walk by the alcohol section and say, if I go to. If I go to a restaurant and have dinner with my family, friends, or loved ones, everybody else is ordering. I'm very, very cautious of that. Even when I come on. When they come on Club Shay Shay, if they've dealt with something, we have water, we don't have. We don't offer them a drink.
Uncle Murder
Right.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
That's hard, man.
Chad Johnson
I know what it's like because my. My grand. My dad dealt with that.
Onplus Nicotine Pouches Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
And I know how I am. You know, I. I come on here and I have, you know, one drink with you. I don't really drink. I don't drink when I'm out because I know me. I have a very addictive personality. The same thing that makes you great makes you fallible because you don't know how to turn it off.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
You don't know when to stop training. You don't know when to stop running those routes. You don't know when to stop shooting those baskets. The things that make you the greatest are the things that makes you most fallible.
Sleep Apnea PSA Announcer
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
So that's. That's how it is with. With Hurricane Uncle Joe, my old girl, my mama.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Well, Joe, growing up, a lot of people ask me, you know, I know you drink, boy, you know, you funny. The perception on how people view me from the outside looking in. You would think I drink and smoke weed. No party, sitting on the couch, no shirt, bottle in hand. But, nah, just seeing my mama, Joe and uncle know, when I was younger and watching someone that I love turn into someone that I didn't even recognize.
Chad Johnson
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Early in the mornings. Yeah, it was not breakfast. It's that goddamn tangerine mix of ruby red juice.
Chad Johnson
Grapefruit juice, huh?
Uncle Murder
Yeah. Early in the morning, that's. That's your breakfast at lunch, the same thing at dinner. Same thing. And, and it was a constant. And what boy Joe was when she get mad. But that lick in her system.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Oh, oh, your mama Drake. Your mama Drake that tangle Ray. What?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, oh, you got to be different, don't you are.
Chad Johnson
Yes, sir. Hey, hey, that tango raid at Seagrams. Yeah, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that for them hardcore. I mean, you hardcore.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, that would. Hey, hey, that would catch drinking back, Joe.
Chad Johnson
That ain't no. That ain't no Belvedere. Nah, that ain't no kill to one.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
No, sir.
Uncle Murder
Hey, boy, my grandma used to say, man, girl, you need to stop. You drink it like a fish, it's gonna be the death of you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Every time they get into it, you stop drinking like a Fitch, it's gonna be the death of you.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Morning, noon, day and night, you always drinking. What you think my mama died of drinking? Drinking.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Hey, hey, I never. I. I never. I never. I've never ever touched a drink.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
I can see why, Ocho.
Chad Johnson
And that's good, bro.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
I'm talking about, man. Listen, I'll be honest. Like, I didn't really have a relationship with my pops till I was 26. I was already five years into the league. He was just getting out of prison, Uncle Ocho, and we the same.
Uncle Murder
The same thing.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
As a recovering drug and alcoholic, I didn't know the signs of that, you know what I mean? So when he get out of prison, he come live with me here in Atlanta. Yeah, he exposed to any and everything you could think of, bro. Yeah, you talk about open up a can of worms. Hey, I had to be the daddy. I'm the one at the. Hey, man, you don't need to go out tonight, bro.
Chad Johnson
You need.
Uncle Murder
Right, right, right.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
I mean, but he couldn't help himself, bro. He couldn't help himself by any means, bro.
Chad Johnson
You know, I've seen that Tango Ray and that, that beef eaters Barton's. Hey, and that Bombay Sapphire.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah. Hey, hey, guaranteed to get homeboy.
Chad Johnson
Hey, hey, Shot man. Bring some of that Bombay Bobby Sapphire sit you on your ass.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
What?
Uncle Murder
And hold on now. You know. No, she, she like. You think Wiz Cleaver smoke a lot, Joe?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
No.
Uncle Murder
You think Snoop smoke a lot?
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Chad Johnson
Your mom smoke weed? What air came on the front porch, boy.
Uncle Murder
With the white papers now.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah.
Uncle Murder
Already pre rolled.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Uncle Murder
Damn, man, stop playing. Stop playing with Hurricane, man.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)
Hey, hey, hey, hey, Ojo ain't. Hey, my mama hit that gas too now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. My mama hit that gas, too. Hey, hey, I used to not. I used to didn't like to have company because soon as you step, as soon as you knock on our door, you can smell it. You know what I'm saying? And as a kid, I was like, hell no, I ain't biting nobody. You know what I mean, y'? All. Yeah, yeah. Mama used to get it in, boy.
Chad Johnson
Damn.
Uncle Murder
That was my baby.
Chad Johnson
Alden Smith dead at the age of 36.
Joe (possibly Joe from the sports discussion)

Chad Johnson
