Lions quarterback Aaron Arnold is facing multiple felony charges after he was arrested in Tampa, Florida, in connection with a robbery and kidnapping early in February. Police say Arnold reportedly orchestrated an armed robbery and kidnapping after believing several people had stolen property from an Airbnb he rented, even though investigators later determined the victims had nothing to do with the theft. According to police, two women allegedly lured the victims to a Tampa apartment. Were two armed suspects hiding in the closet, jumped out, held them at gunpoint, beat them, and robbed them. Investigators say the attack was live streamed to Arnold, who allegedly gave directions through a group chat before arriving at the apartment while the robbery was still underway. Police say the victims later were forced into their own vehicles at gunpoint before being released.
Ocho
Oh, man. Boy. Hey, they took something from TA but he had to turn into John Gotti
Joe
out there, huh, Ocho? Let's just say, for the sake of argument, Joe, for this discussion, let's just say they had taken it. It's insured.
Ocho
Well, we're not sure if it's insured, because if it wasn't, sure there.
Joe
Well, you should have. You're a big. It should be stolen if you got $250,000 worth of anything, Ocho. And it's not insured. Yeah, if it's jewelry, if it's necklaces, watches, rings, automobiles, whatever the case is, you're bigger than. That's a bigger problem. But let's just say, for the sake of argument. Yeah, go ahead. You're in the NFL, guys. Joe, you're professional. See, this is the problem. Keeping it real. Stop keeping it real. You cannot keep it real anymore. When you make millions of dollars. You work your entire life to get in this situation. Why do you need to keep it real?
Chad
Listen.
Joe
Oh, my goodness.
Chad
Some cats being disrespected and violated, bro, they don't know no other way. You know what I mean? I understand what you saying, but some cats, that's just a reaction. It's like, damn, hold on. Them folks done stole from me. They done disrespected me. They done violated me to the utmost degree. Some cats, bro, they don't rationalize like that. You know what I mean? They think straight. Hey, boom, let me make this play real quick. Cause they got me bent.
Joe
You feel me?
Tab Ramos
Yes.
Joe
Authorities said. Joe. Ocho.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Joe
The authorities say the people that he tied up and beat didn't even do it.
Ocho
You know what? Also, when it comes to. When it comes to NFL players, you know, I love TA man to death, and I'm, you know, upset at him. I'm disappointed at him for even putting himself in this situation. But if he doesn't have a level head, if there's something that God has stolen from him, the people around him, his entourage, somebody got to be the brains. Somebody else has to be the brains. Because when, when, when. When the thought or. Or emotion is hot, the solution.
Chad
Logic is low.
Ocho
When the solution was to even think about doing this, whoever came with the master plan, I should be like, nah, we ain't doing that.
Joe
Hell, that was him, Joe. This, Ocho, this how I'm thinking, if I got homeboys that are willing to do that, I gotta let them go. Because it's only a matter of time. I ain't gonna be able to control them. Because if they'll do that, they'll do that without being prompted by me. And if they're in my circle, who's getting job? The people like that, they're around you, Joe. You responsible for them. Ocho. You responsible for them. Yeah, if somebody. I can't. I can't have somebody around me that'll do stuff. But to go get the strap and to rob somebody and to tie them up if what's being reported is true.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
They say this happened in February. So this was a long investigation. Remember March, April, May. Here we are in late June. So basically four months. They've done their due diligence. But here's the thing, Ocho.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
When you got the most to lose, you got to be the most logical. Because when they get pinched, I tell you what, of all those people in that gambling incident, who do they walk out?
Montucky Announcer
All.
Joe
They named a lot of. Lot of names.
Tony Ayo
Yeah.
Joe
Who do they walk out?
Ocho
The ones. The ones we know.
Joe
So when the rubber needs to meet, the road, they don't want. No. How many times you ever seen somebody hold up a perch? A bluegill crappy. They hold up trophy fishes. So in this situation, who the trophy ta. I just. I hate. I hate that, you know, look, we. We make mistakes. We all, you know, we. We put ourselves in situation and like, Lord, I. I just hope.
Chad
I hate.
Joe
I hope for the sake of argument this isn't true. Through his PR person, they said he categorically. And I hope. I hope this is a big misunderstanding. Lord, I hope this young man with so much promise in front of him. I just. Man, I just. I just is. I mean, when did it go, Ocho, a professional athlete order somebody to get tied, Ordered to allegedly order somebody to get tied up and robbed?
CarMax Advertiser
Hey.
Chad
Huh?
Joe
And they potentially live streamed it so he could see it and then he came.
Chad
They don't tell me one thing that he young. He only ain't know no better, bro. You know, he. I'm telling you, he looking at it from a standpoint. That, man, I don't. I don't put XYZ amount of money up in this Airbnb. You mean. Tell me they didn't came and stole it. Oh, hell no. Hell no. He trying to get his. He trying to get his stuff back. He wasn't dry, Neil.
Ocho
Yeah, that's crazy.
Joe
That was a very similar situation. Rescue. So OJ did the same thing out in Vegas, remember? Allegedly, he was told that they had memorabilia of his and they were trying to sell it, and he ran in there and what happened? They told on him.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
The only difference is he happened to be. He show up with the food. He up there. They got him listening. Hey, hey, don't let him out of here. Hold him. I just. Man, I hate this young man put himself in this situation. If this is true, I. I really do. Guys, bro, get that stuff insured if you want to have. Look, everybody wants to, you know. You guys want to have nice chains, Ocho and jewelry? Yeah, I've been there. Had my stuff, you know, and. And. And got it taken. And you feel violated. Joe. You know, Joe, you. You had the stuff to be broke into your house. You feel violent?
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
You really do. You really, really do. And I can. But I was like, man, if I knew who did this, I probably. I want to do something bad to him, man, because that's a man. You work so hard, and when you come up, like, a lot of us came up, not having. And to work so hard to get something, and then somebody just come take it.
Ocho
Take it.
Montucky Host
Yeah.
Chad
I'm telling you, bro. Hey, hey, you.
Joe
You.
Chad
You really don't know how you react, especially if you do know who the people are who've done it.
Joe
You're right.
Chad
Like, you really don't, bro. Real talk, man. I'm. Hey, man, I mean, that's violation to the worst degree, bro. Imagine you come home. I'm talking about every mattress in your house flipped over. You know, it's mattresses in the hallway. Like, what the hell? Somebody refurnishing. I'm talking about. I'm talking about that type of break in. Yeah.
Ocho
Crazy.
Chad
It's hard to sleep at night behind
Joe
Joe. I came home and I looked. I was like. And I saw stuff out. I was like, well, damn, was it an earthquake? I mean, but I was in the area. I would have felt an earthquake. Because earthquake did the same thing. Knock stuff over and stuff was broken.
Chad
Yeah.
Ocho
And I'm like.
Joe
And then I looked. I was like, well, damn, where are my watches?
Chad
Oh, damn.
Joe
My heart just started beating fast. Cause at first, I didn't know at first I went upstairs, I got titles. No, with the Titans.
NBC News Announcer
Yeah.
Joe
Titus. I had. Because I had. I had got Titus. I let him out. I got the little ones. I let them out. So I'm just letting them out. I'm not even thinking anything about it. Everything is normal downstairs because I had the little ones downstairs and, And. And. And the kennels. So I. I'm not thinking. I'm not thinking anything. Everything looks normal when I get in the house, man. And I remember going up to my bedroom and I'm like, where all this glass come from? Like, man, where my watch is. I had a Christopher backpack. I was like, well, damn, where my backpack? So now I go back down to the trunk. Cause I'm thinking, well, maybe I left it in my trunk. But I know I never leave it in the trunk. Cause that's the last thing I want, somebody to be able to just, you know, ease access to stuff. So I was like, you know, if you think you lost something, you're looking for stuff. Well, you know, you. Man, what am I watching? Let me look at the refrigerator. Let me look in the oven, man. You know damn well you ain't even watching no damn refrigerator. No oven. Got you looking with your place. And you know you ain't left your. Then it dawned on me. I've been robbed.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
I say, man, I've been robbed.
Chad
Yeah.
Ocho
That's crazy.
Joe
I call. I tried to call Shelly. I just called out like, call 911-911- what is your emergency? I'm like, ma', am, I like to report a broke. A break in. See how they're like, are they still there? I'm like, nah, I'll be having a very difficult call if they were. This would be a very different call if they were still here, ma'. Am. I was like, my jewelry's gone,
Chad
man.
Joe
I waited, man. I waited. Like, it took him like two hours. Because if it's not an injury, it's not an emergency. They don't deem a robbery as an emergency. So they're not. It's not like, if, you know, is anybody injured or something like that, I started lying. I said, yeah, but then they end up getting me for lying. So I was like, nah, nobody's injured, man. I was like, man. And I just remember sitting on my bed just Looking at the glass on the floor, I was like, damn, that's
Ocho
one of the worst feelings in the world, man.
Joe
It was, man. I said, oh, my watches, man. I said, Man, 30 plus years gone.
Chad
Damn.
Tab Ramos
And every.
Joe
I had everything. No cuff links, man. I had worked so, man, I was just like. I was just. I was just so distraught. I was just so distraught.
Chad
That's a violation, bro. That's a violation. You feel? I'm talking about like, it don't get no lower than that, bro. You come home and your. Your stuff ramshack like that.
Ocho
Hey, Joe, I'm gonna come on pay you a little visit to dining.
Joe
Damn, Joe. That man said hey. He say he knows, he knows a violation, but hey, ain't no. He can't help himself.
Ocho
Joe, I want to make sure y' all want your home, too.
Chad
I bet he get his ass chewed by this big ass dog I got over there, too. I bet that two of them. I got two of them. I bet that. I guarantee that. I guarantee you when they find you, like, damn, boy, somebody chewed up on you. You all right?
Ocho
If they can find me, that's the problem.
Chad
Yeah, okay. You right. You right.
Ocho
I got something for them dogs. Ammonia, huh? Put them right to sleep. They'll be asleep for about 30 minutes.
Chad
Nah, nah, they don't work over there.
Ocho
Okay.
Chad
Yeah.
Ocho
Hey, I want that car collection you got.
Joe
Oh, you got a car? Yeah, I forgot, Joe, but Joe got them cars. He might have some pullers, some real pullers up in there. Ocho.
Chad
Hey, Chad, Chad, Chad. That why you can't tell people what you got going on? Because see how they see how they do, they'll turn around and use it on you. You know what I'm talking about? Chat, chat. Pay attention now. Which I was talking about what, what your uncle was.
Ocho
Now I'm talking about the car collection. You said you had that, you know.
Chad
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got a nice little card collection.
Joe
Yeah, okay.
Chad
Hey, I guess what, Guess what else I got. I got a nice little gun collection, too.
Ocho
Hey, Joe, who you think about shooting?
Chad
Well, I really never wanna have to. I really don't wanna have to use it like that. I like to go to the range, you know what I mean? Do my thing. Ultra. But I really don't wanna have to.
Joe
Have to.
Chad
You know me, I ain't no killer,
Joe
but don't push it.
Chad
Okay?
Joe
Joe say, Joe say, I like this. The only time that I'm practicing that I don't really wanna play the game.
Chad
There you go.
Ocho
I understand what Joe's saying, but sometimes. Sometimes certain situations, you ain't got no choice but to react.
Chad
I know, but I hope like hell I don't have to use it. You know what I mean? I don't wanna have to use it on nobody. O I go to the range, give me some shots. I mean, you know, make sure my aim still accurate. You know what I'm saying? I hope.
Ocho
Hey, listen, I hope it's accurate, too. Yeah.
Joe
You know, I be going to the range, and the shots I be getting off, they be heading dead center.
Chad
Yeah. What you. What. What you shooting over now?
Joe
You know, I'm fixed now. Ain't nothing going on. You want me to that one, Joe? You got me, Joe.
Tony Ayo
You set me up.
Joe
You set me up.
Ocho
He that went out the park, bruh.
Joe
Yeah, Joe set me. Joe said. Well, you good with Joe? You good now, Joe?
Chad
Okay.
Joe
You sure you want the point guard? Cause you can orchestrate that thing, Joe.
Chad
Hey, hey, hey, boy. Hey, hey. I just. I. I know how you owe your move, boy. Something wrong with y'. All.
Ocho
My name in that stuff, man,
Chad
See, here you go. The folks that already said you won't know.
Ocho
Man, I grew up in a church. I ain't nothing like what they think.
Chad
Hell, them be the worst ones. Yeah, yeah, that why I grew up in the church. Yeah, I just.
Joe
Yeah, y' all be the worst one.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
Preacher daughter, cop, son. Boy, that's a mess.
Chad
Yeah. Up there playing deacon. Yeah, man, the folks already on to you, bro. They know what's going on?
Ocho
Hell, no. That's a good one.
Chad
Damn, bro.
Joe
Man, I just. I hope this ain't true, Ocho. Joe. I really do, man. I really do. I hope this is a big.
Chad
Yeah, I don't know.
Joe
It was a big misunderstanding.
Chad
Nah, nah, I wanted them. Misunderstanding? Yeah, misunderstanding about you taking something that didn't belong to you.
Ocho
Yeah, so much. I hope Ta. I hope Ta pulled this one off, man, get up out of this, man.
Joe
I sure hope so.
Ocho
Fix whatever you need to fix.
Joe
Oh, man. Lord have mercy.

Oh, Joe, why won't this man stop? This your guy, Brandon? You posted a video announcing he's back on tour. And that ticket to come see him can be found on the Washington commander's website. He also posted a video of him in his closet tossing a bunch of money on the ground. As Another reminder, the 49ers money he's made from them.
Chad
What's going on, bro?
Joe
The wide receiver. He's our resident wide receiver expert. He can be wide receiver? Yeah, he the wide receiver whisperer.
Ocho
Hey, Uncle. Hey. There's certain things I was crazy when I played unc, but there's certain lines even I know not to cross. And I understand. I have respect for the game. I respect for, obviously, the organizations. Sometimes you don't always see eye to eye when it comes to the business side of things, Uncle Joe. But, I mean, B.A. is B.A. you know, he's going the route he feels necessary. Something has happened to him that has him reacting like this. Uncle and Joe Chat. Do I support it? No. Do I understand it? Yes, in a sense. Because I don't know what's going on behind closed doors that has him acting out the way he is. I just understand the small window of opportunity that this game gives us. I understand the small opportunity window, Joe. Yes, it's very small, and it goes by really fast. I just want to take advantage of that small window and maximize on as much money as he can and as much success on the field as he can. Because this game, they will move on without you behind, and they won't mess a beat.
Chad
Able, man, listen, y' all know, bro, this type of behavior, man, it. It don't help us.
Joe
It doesn't.
Chad
It don't. It don't help us, man.
Joe
See, this us, we're the only group. That one individual, it reflects negatively on all of us.
Ocho
All of us. Yeah.
Joe
We're the. We're the only group of people that one individual. What? One individual does reflect negatively on all of us. Ocho, you can be somewhere.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Joe
We see somebody of our color, and they be acting up, and we. Our skin start to crawl. You like, Lord have mercy.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
Jesus.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
Why? Why are we doing this, man? Damn, Lord. And it just. It's like. And that. They hold that against us. They'll use that. Why? Well, this is why we can't pay him. Because you see what Brandon Ayuk did. You see what this guy did? Yeah, bro. Other people act up, and one person doesn't reflect negatively on an entire race. We're the only race that that happens to.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Joe
And I just. Man, I just feel so. I just like, man, I mean, I was at the DMV in Atlanta, man, and, you know, I went in and I got the parking spot and this couple, and this guy was about to pull in. And you see the guy, he got a thing on. He just waiting for the person to pull out. So the person backs out and pulls, and the car shoots in. And the dude said, man, you know, blah, blah, blah. You know, I was going to that spot, and dude was arguing back and forth, and I was like, man, come on, let that go. Then this lady chime in. He done let it done died down. Then this lady. And I'm like, she amped it back.
Ocho
She amped it back up, huh?
Joe
He said, my man, your lady gonna get you. Hey, gonna get you blunt burnt. I said, bro, come on, bro, we don't need that. So I leave. Cause I was like, bro, come on. But anyway, he's like, shopping. He's like, yeah, hey, I'll be wiping you up, man. Hey, man, you be killing skill, man. You'll be funny than the bug. I said, yeah, come on. So, Joe, I go in the place. So the lady's like, you.
Advertiser 1
Yeah.
Joe
She said, hey, come on, Just don't worry about it.
CarMax Advertiser
You.
Joe
You'll be next. I said, okay. They come in, they still going. Now we're in a place. It's, you know. You know how DMV of the thing. Crowded. Yeah, He. I'm a. Hey, I tell you what. Don't worry about it. I got something for you. You know what I'm about. Hey, I'm gonna spark this up on you. And I'm like, man, why you keep you every. You gonna get your man lit up. Shut up as I tell you, man. Then what I'm gonna do, man, hey, check this out. I'm gonna go up here. I said, hey, can you get. I said, we gonna get a thing. I said, me and you go take this picture. We gonna bone on that. He said, man, you gonna do that? Yeah, Come on. But I know how. I know how it looks, and I just even. It doesn't matter where we are. I'm always trying to diffuse a.
Chad
Hey,
Joe
I'm sorry. You look like walking. I'm trying to diffuse it at all costs, whatever it takes. That's just the way I am, because I. I know how negatively it impacts how it looks. I just, man, I was like, man, Lord have mercy. Come on, Brad. Come on, ba.
Ocho
Hey, you know what? You know the one thing I don't. You know,
Joe
Unk.
Ocho
You was good to the game, Joe. You was good to the game, and the game is going to always be good to you when you no longer playing. And the most important thing in life, always this for everybody in the chat, is the relationships you build along the way.
Joe
Yep.
Ocho
You never want to burn no bridges, because you never know when you got to cross that bridge again.
Chad
Yep.
Ocho
You never know. I just. I. I don't. I don't know, man. I. I don't.
Joe
I don't.
Ocho
I don't have BA's number personally, because he. I. I would have been one to reach out to him. And though there's other ways to go about this, let's not do it that way.
Joe
That's Ocho. I'm a firm believer in that. I've always tried to treat people well because just every coach that's on your team, they're not gonna be on your team always.
Ocho
No.
Joe
What if they go somewhere else? Then that's an opportunity. Won't hurt. You see, you see, a lot of time, coaches, when they get jobs, they'll always bring one or two players from the team that they came from. Yep. Hey, that could be me. That could be me.
Chad
Hello.
Joe
That's how I look at it. And I've had great relationships. Look, we already know the Mike Shanahan. They talk about the Sean McVeigh, but Sean McVay was on the staff with Kyle and Mike when he was in Washington. Raheem Morris was on that staff. Mike McDaniel was on that staff. Go back. Look at all that staff. They spread out through the league.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
You never know. Chip, the guy that runs the whole Broncos organization, what they eat, when they eat. Obviously, the coaches said, where they gonna stay. Chip Conway. Chip Conway started out in the mail room in 1993. Now he runs the entire Broncos. Hey, Chip, man, check this out, man. I need a couple T shirts. Chip, I need a helmet. Chip, I need some Bronco glasses, right? First thing, as soon as I call, you see my name pop up. Sharpie, what you need? I said, chip, how you know I need something? He said, sharpie, you only call me when you need something, what you need. But it was always, you know, when it came Christmas time, always Tip the guys always gave a nice bonus. Yeah, I mean, I end up giving. You know, with the video crew, the training staff, the equipment crew, the mail crew, I mean, I probably get. I probably was given 15, $20,000 bonuses.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Joe
But making no money back then. Now he running. Now he running the whole Bronco thing. Same thing with Flip. Flip there in the equipment room. Flip started out, hey, hey, Flip, I need a Bronco helmet. Them new helmets they got. Hey, Flip, get your boy one, put 84 on the back of it. No problem, Sharpie, man. It's same thing. Like, I don't. I don't know. I don't really know the equipment people. Now. Edo used to be the equipment manager in Baltimore, but when he was there, same thing, man. You.
News Skeptic
You just.
Joe
You gotta treat. You don't know. Just because you here today, that don't mean you gonna be here tomorrow.
Montucky Announcer
Oh, no.
Joe
Facts might be here, and the person that was here when you was here and he was here and you treated him bad, he might. Whoa. See?
Chad
Yep.
Ocho
You never know. You might need him one day.
Joe
That's just. That's. That's how I am. I just bad. I just. Like I said, I just. I. I hopefully, you know, somebody can get to him. Ocho and Joe put a bug in there and say, man, this is not the way to handle the situation. I understand that you're not happy with the 49ers and you want to get out. Excuse me, but this is not the right way.
Chad
No, sir.
Joe
Because, you know, Ochoa, first of all, they already boarded the guaranteed. All the guaranteed money that he was going to get. Get that he was supposed to get moving forward. They boarded that.
Chad
And look, and what I was telling you, you and Ocho on, man, if I'm another team, I mean, damn, do I want to deal with this, bro? Like, think about that. Like, I'm not sure if. I'm not sure if Aiyuk is thinking about that, bro. Like, any team that's willing to invest, they probably gonna be thinking, like, damn, at some point, he probably gonna be like that with us.
Joe
I'm. Hey, I don't know how y' all Think about this. But if. I don't care how fine a lady is, if you call the cops, if I know that you call the cops on somebody, you think I'm about to deal with you.
Chad
Hell no.
Joe
You call the cops. You get mad at him and call the cops. What's gonna stop him? You get mad at me doing the same thing. I'm good. That was a license, lady. I'm not saying. I'm saying. Obviously, there are certain times that women. Because y' all know how y' all like to twist things. Let me. Let me clarify this. There are times that women should call the cops, but there are times in situations that sometimes this. Your emotions get the best of you and you call the cops out of frustration.
Chad
Hello.
Joe
And you sit back and you analyze. You're like, man, I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry I put you in a bad spot. But it's too late. Somebody might lose their job. Somebody get cut. Somebody you know, X, Y, and Z. There are times that the cops should be called. And I'm not saying women, that if you feel like you've been threatened, but you make sure you understand the con.
Ocho
The.
Joe
The ramifications that comes along with actions. Because every action there is a reaction. So.
Chad
Right.
Joe
Let me just clarify that, because I know social media. How y' all just take everything and just take it out of context and just run with it. Because we got. We have to be very specific now. We have to be. Cause a lot of people understand what I'm talking about. But there'll be one or two that are. Clip it and won't provide context to what I'm saying. I'm saying in a certain. In certain situations, there's Sometimes you just. Well, he did X, Y, and Z. And it wasn't that situation where he didn't come home late at night. You mad or you find out he got a new girl. Yeah, it's a foolishness like that. Obviously, like I've said, that's the type of situation I'm saying that doesn't warrant the cops being called because you find out he's seeing somebody else or he went out of the country with somebody else, or he sent somebody else some money, he bought somebody a car. That ain't a reason to call the cops.

ops. Sad news today guys. I know you've all heard about it by now. Former Titans running back Chris Johnson, AKA CJ Tuesday, announced on Good Morning America that he has been diagnosed with als, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig disease. At the age of 39, Johnson, who's no longer a verbal due to the progression of als, spoke to Michael Stray Hand. Using speech generated device controlled by his eyes, Johnson was able to record his voice so that the computer sounds just like him. It's continued to progress much faster than I ever imagined. I want people to understand just how quickly ALS can attack your body. Just over a year ago I was picking up my 7 year old daughter so she could make a wish on a birthday cake. Today I couldn't do that. Johnson added that many people don't realize that with ALS your mind is still, your mind still stays sharp. People sometimes look at the physical disability and assume you're not the same person inside. I think I still think the same. I still dream, I still love my family. My body just doesn't cooperate. Man. Just broke my heart.
Chad
Yeah, that don't hurt.
Joe
I had a former teammate.
Tony Ayo
Yes.
Joe
O.J. brigance. I don't know if you played with Balder. Played with me in Baltimore. Joe and Ocho, we call him Juice. And man, I think Juice is still around, but I think Juice might have had this. He might have had, he might have been dealing with it for about 15 years. It's normally quick, it's normally the partner from what you call them. Remember the, the guy from New Orleans, Ocho, the one that blocked the kick with Katrina at the Falcons? Yeah, he has it. Yeah. Steve Gleason.
Ocho
Mm.
Joe
Man, he said just a year ago and just like that. But he says he gonna fight. I mean obviously, you know, he's in clinical trials, tried a lot of different drugs and I heard the lady was speaking, says it's helped some but. Listening at, listening, listening to him talk, he said, the doctor said get your affairs.
Chad
Yeah,
Ocho
That's crazy.
Chad
Hey, I've been there, boy. I'm telling you, Uncle Ocho, I've been there, bro. Hey. Hey. Took my mom to. To the hospital on. On Christmas, thinking it was just gonna be a quick checkup. Hell, she didn't get out of there the February. And Doc told us that. Told us to. To our face, me and her. He said, hey, she won't make it another six months. Hell, he knew it was gonna be a lot damn sooner than that. You feel what I'm saying? And think about it. Just to go from walking around, talking, cooking, having a good time, holding her grandchild, to Couldn't. I'm talking about to was bed rest. Couldn't move nothing but her eyes, bro.
Joe
Damn.
Chad
I seen it, bro. I know what it looked like.
Joe
You say she had cancer?
Chad
Yeah, she had multiple myeloma. Yeah, it just. And they break you down. Like, she lost weight so quick. Next thing you know, like, it were, people come by the house. She was like, tell them. Tell them I'm sleep. She wouldn't want to see nobody. She didn't want.
Joe
She didn't want to.
Chad
She didn't want nobody to see her like that. I'm talking about it could be people who she grew up with, who been with her the whole nine outside of me. My grandmother and my uncles. Man, listen. Hey, bro, that's hard, bro. Hey, when I seen that. When I seen that today, bro, I seen that, I was like, wow, it is 39.
Joe
39 years old.
NBC News Announcer
Damn,
Chad
Life is precious, bro.
Joe
It is, man. And when that doctor. When that doctor. Because he told my sister, he said the same thing about my grandma. He told my sister, said, you have everything in order, because it's not gonna be very many more times. Ms. Sharp, we're gonna call you. But my grip. But the thing is, Ocho, they know it. My grip. Man, that man came in there. Cause you know, he always up. You know, doctor, they want beat. They want to keep in a positive frame of mind. He said, how you doing today, Ms. Porter? She said, I ain't doing good. Yeah, just like that. Just like that. I mean, he came in there happy. Ms. Porter, how you Good? How you doing? It's so good to see you. How we doing today? She told him just like that, Ocho. She said, I ain't doing good. I'm dying. He said, Ms. Porter, don't say that. Libby said, granny, don't talk like that. She said, yeah, I'm dying. I know. Just like that.
Chad
Yeah. Hey, man, that's exactly how it is, bro. I'm telling you, I know what you're talking about. My mama looked me dead in my eyes and she asked me, am I dying? Hell, I knew she was. I couldn't tell her. Yeah, hey, I know exactly what you mean. Why, yes,
Joe
and you know, she's always been strong. I ain't really see my. When my grandfather died, granted, in Christ. So she got to be strong. So I got to be strong for her.
Ocho
I can't cry, right?
Joe
That's where the term came from. She said, boy, we all got an appointment. We can't reschedule. We all got to do it, son. I just dropped my head, Man,
Taco Bell Announcer
Because,
Joe
like I said, I'm a baby. She always called me. That's what she called me. That's. Oh, she. My mama comes, she's, oh, that's my baby. She said, I had him. She say, so that's my baby. And she was in Claxton Hospital. And I had told Libby, I said, libby, going home. I'll stay. I got it from here. Libby had already got me a room at the. The. At the hotel, at the motel.
Taco Bell Announcer
It's.
Joe
I could walk, but I drove. It's like two minutes. So right there on 301. So she wanted a shrimp dinner. I say, well, I said, maybe where we go get a shrimp dinner place? She says, the place right up there. It's right down there from such and such. Okay. I went and got a shrimp dinner. I said, you know, I said, granny, these people know you. You eating shrimp in here. She told me, it's better than the food they be giving me. The food they give me, killing me.
Chad
I said, yeah.
Joe
I said. I said, grand. The food is for you. She said, boy, I want a shrimp dinner. I want some of the.
Tab Ramos
More.
Joe
What they call them. What they call them, Libby? Them old corn dog hush puppies.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
So I go get a hush puppy. I said, well, Libby go ahead and go. I let Libby go home. Cause Libby was there every day. From the time my grandmother went to Glenville Hospital. Even when she went to Claxton to have stuff done, my sister was right there with her. So I told Libby, I let Libby go, man. Ocho. So I said, well, I said, I'm gonna stay until she go to sleep, right? Every time I moved, Granny would wake up, where you going? I said, well, I was gonna go. She's like, nah, baby, don't go. I stayed as long as I could. I mean, man, I'm sick because I'm sitting in that chair, man. I was like, oh, my back Killing me. So I waited. I let her get into a deep, deep, deep sleep. It probably like one o' clock before I got up out of there. Left. Came back. When I came back that morning, I barely beat Libby in the room. She talking about, where you been? You must have went. You must be waiting. I don't know. I did, but.
Chad
Bad, bad.
Joe
But they. But, Joe, they know. They know. And you know, I'm just like you said, you know, just be positive. Try to keep it a positive frame of mind. But my grandma had done. My grandma had done made peace.
Chad
Yeah, that's the hardest thing, boy.
Joe
That's it. When they make peace with it. And I have it. My grandma said, boy, I don't live a great life. I don't raise my kids, raise you. You three. Yeah. She say, baby, we all gotta do it. We all gotta do it, son. Grant, I want you to know that
Chad
ain't easy, by no means.
Joe
Oh, yeah. I don't. I don't care if she lived to be 125.
Tab Ramos
Right.
CarMax Advertiser
I see.
Joe
Still wasn't ready to let her go.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
And yo, my. My grandma is like your mom, Joe. Your mom thought you hung the moon.
Chad
Yep. Well, many nights, boy, he.
CarMax Advertiser
Oh,
Joe
I just feel so bad for the man. He got, what, four kids? I think he got four kids, Ocho?
Ocho
Yeah, three.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Ocho
Because he had a daughter. No, I think three.
Joe
He got three.
Tab Ramos
Yeah.
Ocho
Two twins and a daughter. Two son, two boys.
Joe
39, man. Yeah, that man 39 years young.
Ocho
That's crazy. That's crazy.
Joe
Look, summit happens quick. I've seen guys have it, and then within two years, they're gone. And like I said, I think Steve Gleason is still alive. And he's had it for at least 15 years old. Juice has had it for at least that long. There ain't no look. Yeah. He said this is taking control. His mind is still sharp. He knows who he is. He. He's just trapped inside that body and can't do anything physically. That's the hardest thing. When you've been mobile. Guys see somebody that's. That's never. That's never had the ability to see. They don't know what they're missing. Not seeing anything because they've never seen someone that's not been able to walk or someone that's born without arms. They don't know what they're missing because they never had it. But to have it and to not.
Chad
Yeah, it's tough, bro.
Joe
And for his kids to see him like this, like you said, I mean, a Picture. A picture of health. Say, you know, just my grip strength wasn't what it was once was. You know, drop stuff. You don't think. You know, hey, getting old. It's a sign of getting old. My grandma used to have all. Hey, hey, boy. Open this for your granny. You know, jar, whatever case, soda, whatever it is. Damn, Chris,
Ocho
Man, I hate to even think about that, bro.
Chad
I ain't gonna lie. I couldn't even watch the whole thing.
Joe
When it said, you know. Cause I'm, like, thinking about it. Ojo. So I'm hearing. I'm like, well, damn, he talking. And then I look closer, I'm like, no, he not talking.
Chad
Yeah.
Joe
I was like, man, it's a year. He says, it's been a year.
Ocho
Yeah.
Joe
My grandma used to say all the time, boy, you think we got it bad, but somebody got it worse every time.
Ocho
It puts everything in the.
Joe
You think she just trying to. You should just.
News Skeptic
You.
Joe
You think people, when they say that, they just trying to make you. You know? No, that's true. That is one. No matter what you're going through, somebody is going through something much worse. That doesn't make your situation. That doesn't make your situation. That is not important that you're not going through something. But whatever you think you're going through, I promise you, somebody's going through something much worse. Yep. We all just want to help and to be able to not be a joke. You couldn't help your mom. I couldn't help Granny. His family can't help him. It's in God's hands now. All he can do is just state, hey, I want to live another day. I want to fight another day. I don't know, maybe five years, 10 years, 15 years from now, they'll find a cure. Or at least something to slow down the effects of it. Maybe. But you do realize there ain't no money in cures. Money's a treatment.
Chad
I can't.
Joe
Why would I want to cure you from an addiction? I treat you and get money longer. Even if they found a cure, the big drug companies will kill it.
Chad
Yep, they hurt their pockets.
Joe
Damn, cj. Guess all we can do now is pray.
Chad
That's it. That's it, man. Hey, hey. And thank him. Thank him.
Joe
Just ask God to let his will be done. I don't even know what to say, Ocho. I don't know what to do. Ain't nothing we can do, but also our thoughts and prayers.
Ocho
Hey, listen. You know. You know how I get why I'm trying to keep quiet. I ain't doing no crying tonight because I ain't hey, I ain't doing no crying tonight.
Joe
And and, and because I remember when I would go back into Baltimore and and the Ravens took care of Juhu's care. So they would, he had office at the, at the Ravens facility. They come, they would come pick him up every day, come pick him up at his house, have a car pick him up and bring him to, and bring him to the facility every day. Juice had an office there and you know, you know his obviously his wife. Juice, you know this. You asked him. O.J. you, you know who this is through the computer just like man, that's Shay. Good to see you man. It's just, man, it broke my cause he was such a fun loving guy. Never had a bad word to say about it anyway. But go back and look at that Super Bowl. O.J. made like the first four or five tackles on special teams. Lord have mercy.

July 4, 2026 | Shay Shay Media & Playmaker; with Shannon Sharpe (“Unc/Joe”) and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (“Chad/Ocho”)
This episode of Nightcap centers on two major, emotional NFL news stories making headlines: the legal troubles of Lions quarterback Aaron “Terrion” Arnold following his arrest and felony charges, and the heartbreaking announcement from former running back Chris Johnson (“CJ2K”) about his ALS diagnosis. Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson give their raw, unfiltered reactions—with personal stories and cultural reflections—highlighting the human side of the headlines and what these events mean inside and outside the world of football.
[02:37–18:03]
Story Recap:
Shannon Sharpe recaps the charges facing Aaron “Terrion” Arnold: multiple felonies after allegedly orchestrating an armed robbery and kidnapping in reaction to stolen property at an Airbnb. The incident reportedly involved Arnold’s associates luring victims, who were ultimately found to be innocent, then robbing them at gunpoint and livestreaming the act to Arnold.
“Let’s just say, for the sake of argument…you’re in the NFL, guys…Stop keeping it real. You cannot keep it real anymore when you make millions of dollars.” (04:10)
“When the thought or emotion is hot, the solution…logic is low.” (06:16)
“If I got homeboys that are willing to do that, I gotta let them go…if they’ll do that, they’ll do that without being prompted by me.” (06:25)
Personal Reactions:
“So OJ did the same thing out in Vegas, remember?...He ran in there and what happened? They told on him.” (09:17)
Sharpe retells the story of being robbed himself and the sense of violation:
“I was just so distraught. That’s a violation, bro. That’s a violation. You feel…I’m talking about like, it don’t get no lower than that, bro. You come home and your stuff ramshack like that.” (13:00–14:27)
[22:10–34:11]
Story Recap:
The hosts discuss Brandon Aiyuk’s public airing of grievances amid a contract dispute, including a viral video of Aiyuk throwing money around and openly hinting at his next destination.
“There’s certain lines even I know not to cross…Small window of opportunity, maximize your money and your success. This game…will move on without you.” (22:41–23:56)
Self-Reflection & Advice:
“Just every coach that’s on your team, they’re not gonna be on your team always…That could be me.” (28:18–29:09)
Wider Social Commentary:
[37:59–53:33]
Story Recap:
Sharpe delivers the news about CJ2K’s ALS diagnosis at age 39, describing his new reality using an eye-controlled voice device.
“I want people to understand just how quickly ALS can attack your body. Just over a year ago, I was picking up my 7-year-old daughter so she could make a wish on her birthday cake. Today I couldn’t do that…People sometimes look at the physical disability and assume you’re not the same person inside. I still think the same. I still dream. I still love my family. My body just doesn’t cooperate.” (38:04–38:54)
Personal Connections:
“Just to go from walking around, talking, cooking, having a good time, holding her grandchild, to…bed rest. Couldn’t move nothing but her eyes, bro.” (40:36)
“We all got an appointment. We can’t reschedule.” (43:52)
Life Perspective:
Cynical Aside on Medical System:
“Ain’t no money in cures. Money’s in treatments.” (51:58)
On athletes and “keeping it real” after success:
On not burning bridges:
On how one mistake reflects on a community:
On the gravity of ALS and family decline:
Perspective on hardship:
On medicine and the system:
For listeners:
This episode is less about hot takes and more about confronting human frailty and the consequences of decisions—on and off the field. While the athletes’ stories take center stage, the reflections from Sharpe and Johnson resonate far beyond sports.
