Swordsby will not play College Football in 2026. According to Tom Pellissero. Source B is applying to enter the NFL supplemental draft after legally wrangling with the NCAA by eligibility. Sorens be regarded as a first round talent now could be the highest drafted supplemental player picked in decade. Ocho. Yes, obviously we know the story. He admitted to betting on games, even games in which he participated in. And for some, I, I don't know, maybe the system. I don't know the system as well as I think I do. Because every time you think you got it figured out, the system throws you a curveball.
Joe Johnson
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
But here's the guy that admitted, yes, I gamble over 90 times. I've placed bets on collegiate games. Some of the games that I bet on, I was actually participating in.
Commercial Announcer
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
And still a court judges, four judges, says, you know what irreparable harm will be done to this young man if Texas Tech do not allow him to play. Excuse me, if the NCAA does not allow him to play. So we're putting a stay on the injunction. Hey, and he's going to be able to play. But after careful deliberations, you see everybody having something to say about it. Yes, there's something really wrong with a system when someone commit they did something which is probably the, probably the worst thing you can do if you're a professional athlete.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh yeah, no question.
Shannon Sharpe
They are mutually. Texas Tech and Source B are agreeing to mutually part ways. Oh, Joe, let me get your thoughts first. And Joe, we'll turn it over to you.
Joe Johnson
Well, obviously Texas Tech understands when it comes to gambling, the integrity of college football in general. For one, you already got nil. They're not, they're not happy about that. Now they're controlled. Trying to control that. And then you have Sourcebee going on behind his back and doing things that, you know, that are legal. Trying to earn extra money on top of what you're already getting, you know, which is, which is, which is a blessing in, you know, in, in general. So the integrity of the game, it's somewhat ruined the court actually allowing him to play with Texas Tech. It Would it wouldn't have sat. It wouldn't have sat well. And it's just too much noise and it's too much. Too much. Too much of a or stormy weather around the program to allow him to play this season.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, Joe, what you thinking?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I'm. I mean, when you talk about the integrity of the game. Fellas, Ultra on with you.
Joe Johnson
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
The admission that you've committed this. Come on, bro.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, you, you, you got to move on.
Shannon Sharpe
We can.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
It's. I don't even know how. How in the hell they reinstated him for him to be able to play college football. But I think this is the best thing, bro, for him to be moving on. You know, I just think it's. It's hard, bro. It's hard to really trust somebody under those circumstances when you've committed something like that. Especially in the sports world, bro. There's no room for that, bro. There's no room for it.
Shannon Sharpe
I think the problem that you have. And you've seen an uptick in this over the. Since sports betting has become so prevalent. Yes, we've seen an uptick.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Where people are starting not to believe what they see. Oh, this a. Somebody got the call. The referees. Hey, the referee got this team. Oh, man, he sold this game.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, we're starting to see an uptick in that Ocho, Joe. So we get a guy that says, yeah, over 90 times over the course of my NCAA career, I bet on college games. I think he bet on NFL also. But there are times in games in which I was on the team or I was participating, I bet it on those games.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, Pete Rose can't get into the hall of Fame.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Although they say. Although he said he didn't bet on his team, the, the mlb. And I'm trying to think who it was at the time. I think Faith Vincent said, nah, we good. They had the Dodd, the Dodd report that they did. They did all this, this deep dive and found out that he had actually bet on major league games even though he said he didn't bet on his own games. They said that still.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Joe Jackson got the second highest lifetime batting average at.358. He can't get in. Shoeless Joe Jackson.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
He got a.358 lifetime career batting average. Only Ty Cobb is higher. They say. Nah, nah, bro. The black sock scandal. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. So for this admission and we still let it slide.
Joe Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
And look, if it was a one time thing. Ocho. You know what? Ocho you place the bet. Okay, fine. 90 times.
Joe Johnson
Hey, that's a lot of. Hold on, hold on. Not. Not only. Hold on, Uncle Joe, this what you don't understand. Not only did you bet 90 times, but you actually betting games where you can influence the wins and the losses.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, that's even.
Joe Johnson
That's, that's even worse in itself.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yes.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, and individual events, you could. Like soccer, you could. I'm not soccer, but golf, you can bet on yourself. In tennis, you can bet on yourself. You can bet on yourself to win the tournament. But in a situation like what he's doing, throw a pick a turnover, X, Y and Z. That I could. Nah, bro.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Look, look, hey, you know why it's so tough though? It's because college is a professional sport now.
Shannon Sharpe
It is.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
It's no longer the regular collegiate cats, man, listen, these cats, right, you know, they, they, they're recruiting older, older guys now who've already been in the system who know, like if you. Hey, man, if you 18, 19 years old, it's going to be hard to get recruited nowadays unless you like one of the blue.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. You got to be damn near four. You definitely four, five star. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
That's the only way you get recruited now, man. You know what I mean? So you got to look at it, you know, from some of these players perspectives. Because guess what? It's been a host of other guys who got caught in college betting on games too. Uncle Ocho, in basketball and in football,
Shannon Sharpe
you got to think about it how guys. Todd Gurley got suspended for autographs. AJ Green got suspended for autographs. Terrell Pryor lost his career. Cause he sold things that belonged to him. He sold his jersey, his pants from the Sugar Bowl. I think he sold a pendant. And it followed him to the league. He had never ever seen the league, the league punish a player for something that he did in college. Terrell Proud was the first.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Because even if you have a drug suspension, oo, they wipe the slate clean when you come to the NFL. Terrell Proud was the first that he had. He had something that he did in college that did not impact the NFL and they punished him.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Nflp. I still haven't forgiven you for that because y' all allowed that to happen on y' all watch.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Imagine if oo imagine you did something at one job. You know what? You leave that job, go get another to say, you know what Ocho, you did over there. So we gonna suspend your pay. We gonna take two months of your salary. Before what you did over there. Yeah, that's basically what the NFL did. They punished him for something that he didn't do on their watch. This situation. And like I said, it could. It could be. But 90 times if it was. Look, you know what? I'm willing to concede if it was one or two, maybe even five. Let's just be generous. What? You know, five times how you place 90. 90 bets.
Joe Johnson
That's. That's a lot.
Shannon Sharpe
What was it? How much did he wager? Like $40,000.
Joe Johnson
You know what? To me, it. It sounds egregious. You know, unk. Yeah, but you have to understand, to those that actually gamble and who are used to it, they might see it different now. Not betting on college games, not betting on yourself. But the amount of bets that he
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
placed, that's a lot of best, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, let me take that back. Oh, JoJo, he plays 9, 000 bets. More than $90,000. 9, 090- comma, 000. Oh, so he did thousand.
Joe Johnson
Wait, over.
Shannon Sharpe
Over 9,000 bets? $90,000?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
9,009 comma, 000. 9,000 bets. $90,000.
Joe Johnson
Over a course of how many years? Huh?
Shannon Sharpe
Well, he. He said he was betting when he was on Indiana. Over three years.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Wow.
Joe Johnson
Jesus.
Shannon Sharpe
So guess what, Ocho? He said, you know what? I did it Indiana. Then I went to Cincinnati. Did it there. Then I went to Texas Tech. Did it there. So, basically, over the course of three years, 3,000 bets per year. At least 40 involving his teams.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, I know some of his damn receivers. Like I knew that mofo would. I knew he was out there throwing them games.
Shannon Sharpe
That's crazy, Ocho. Like I said, that's crazy. Look, I understand. We've all. Nobody's perfect. Yeah, nobody is perfect. And I'm not asking this young man to be perfect, because we've all been in situations through the course. I'm almost 58. I'm. I'm a week away. A little over a week away from being 58. I've made my fair share of mistakes. It's hard to say I've made 9,000 of them, though. I could be right. I know. Let's just say, for the sake of argument, I might have made 9,000. I ain't made 9,000 of the same damn mistake.
Joe Johnson
Right?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, that's because, hell if they ain't caught you. Okay, Ocho? You gonna keep going, bro?
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you're not stopping.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, you ain't stopping. That ain't nothing you can stop, especially that fast, quick money like that. Because it's like he penny pinching, hell. 9, 000 bets just for 90,000.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, probably. Probably. You know, a prop here, $40 here, $20 there.
Joe Johnson
It adds.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, but 9,000 bets, ocho.
Joe Johnson
Hey, that's, that's a lot.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
90,000. Come on, man.
Shannon Sharpe
In a statement, the Texas board chair, Cody Campbell, said Texas Tech will not seek the return of any money paid to Brandon Sourceby through nil agreements with the university. So he made 3, 4 million dollars. See, so what's the deterrent?
Joe Johnson
Hold on. He would dip. He was double dipping.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, he was on the nil. And he would bet money. Say, you know what? Hey, hey, I'm getting, you know, 40, 50, 70, 100,000amonth. Yeah, let's see if your boy can go ahead and get me. See what I'm saying? He jumped over a stack of money to pick up pennies.
Joe Johnson
Hey,
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
damn.
Joe Johnson
9,000.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
9,000 bets, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
9. That's a lot of bet. Like I said, look, some of them probably $5, you know, $10. You know what I'm saying? Hey, you know, hey. Huh?
Joe Johnson
Small bets.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, small bet. So you get who gonna win the coin toss? Hey, Ocho, Ocho have at least five catches. Joe gonna have at least three turnovers. He betting stuff like that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Damn.
Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, that's still a lot, though.
Shannon Sharpe
And that's a lot of bets. Yeah, yeah. Hell yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, it's a lot of bets. But think about it. He probably using his nil money to be able to make these bets.
Joe Johnson
Yes. Why?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
That's why it's so dangerous for a lot of these young cats who getting paid in college. Uncle, Uncle Ocho. Because y' all know all these dudes ain't gonna make it pro, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah, you're right.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Some of the upper echelon ones who making a lot of money, they don't mean it's gonna make it pro broke. Right? Because guess what?
Shannon Sharpe
That's why. You get that kind of money. You get that kind of money, Joe, you get a eight or nine, $10 million, man. Look here, after taxes, let's just say you pay everything because you do realize. Oh, the difference is that nil, the agent, he gets 20% of that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
It ain't like an NBA or NFL agent where they get 3 to 4, 5%. They get 20.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
They getting taken advantage of.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Just keep it 100. Just keep it 100, bro. They getting taken advantage of. And I just think I, I, I think, you know, a lot of these cats, bro, just like swordsby double dipping, trying to Funnel other. Other ventures. But they getting paid so much money, Uncle Ocho, you know what I mean? A lot of these guys running into money they ain't never had in a lifetime, especially. Nor their parents.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, man, hold on. Jeremiah smith, he makes four and a half million dollars. That's basically 380,000amonth. A little more.
Joe Johnson
Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Come on, Ocho.
Joe Johnson
You know what's funny too?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
What's that?
Joe Johnson
Hey, uncle boy, he worth every penny, Joe.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yes. Yeah, yeah. No question, no question.
Shannon Sharpe
But you understand, Ocho, a guy, his family ain't never seen that type of bread.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
A month. Oh, we was in the NFL for years. And it was years. Hell, it was basically. I was in year 10, 11 to 12 before I got that kind of money. Yeah, they got 19.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You only got 19.
Joe Johnson
That's crazy.
Shannon Sharpe
19. 250. Do your boy good a month. Hey, 250. Do your boy real good. Hello, man. Hey, Big. I'm a Big Mac with like a dollar, a dollar 75. Super size fries, super size drink, apple pie. You eat good at McDonald's for $6. Yeah, yeah, man, the kids don't eat McDonald's no more. They. Hey, they going to Ruth Chris. They going to mastro. They going to state 48 elbows.
Joe Johnson
Hey, you talking. You talking about my kids?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey.
Joe Johnson
Especially my older daughters. That's them all day.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey, hey. Uber eats beer highest giraffe. Yeah, like, damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Uber eat bad. I don't know. Hey, what we had to say it. Hey, buy if you fly. You know what I'm saying? Hey, I'll pay for it. You go get it.
Joe Johnson
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
Right now. Hey, hey, what you want, man? I'm about to Uber eat something. I'm about to grow up.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, man.
Shannon Sharpe
I. I definitely think this is the right decision.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
And it's gonna be hard, I mean, because if you're the NFL, because like you said, you got to do your research. Okay, if we got. Okay. Here at the Browns GM, Andrew Barry was asked about Sorensby on 92.3 the Fan, and he said he deserves grace. Here's Barry, full quote. I think there are two things there. I asked two questions, because everybody who's in on this call or listening to this show, I'm sure everyone has made mistakes. I really asked two questions. Number one, is this a bad person or did they make a bad decision? And then the second piece, okay, well, what are they doing after the fact to correct the behavior? Is this a pattern of decision making? If so, have they done something to stop the pattern. And this is or and is this an isolated incident? Because the reality of it is we're all going to screw up sometimes. Certainly mistakes are greater in magnitude than others. But I think the most important thing is Brendan's case is what he does from here. Obviously it is a great first step to get the help that he needs. But then it is like what is around him, what is he doing to make sure he can maintain healthy habits from there? I think probably within society, so to speak, where we all can stand to use a little bit more grace. Todd Monken this is what he had to say. I think that's a slippery slope when you go down that, irrespective of talent, right. In terms of a situation he's himself in, we all know what that is. He put himself in that situation and we've seen other sports where players have been banned for life for playing in professional sports. I think that's a slippery slope to go down that road. Again, that is a question for Andrew and for management. But from my end, kind of a tough angle to go down that road and think that's going to be your franchise quarterback.

Like if I'm the owner of a team, bro, that's, you know, I'm like, hold on now. That's a red flag for me.
Shannon Sharpe
You feel me?
Joe Johnson
Yeah, absolutely. And Uncle Joe, the only, the only type of players that actually giving grace, you know, especially grace of this magnitude when you admit to making, making mistakes are players that come in and change the trajectory of your franchise immediately. It depends on is, is he that type of player? Is he that type, type of quarterback that going to come in and immediately change the trajectory of your franchise for the next 10 years to 15 years? Yeah. Then, oh, they give those type of players grace. They just do, you know, the goal post move depending on who it is.
Shannon Sharpe

Look like I Said we all make mistakes. We, we're not perfect. Nobody is perfect. I've made my share of mistakes, but the thing I can honestly say is that did I learn my lesson from said mistake? And that's the question we're gonna have to ask. He made 9,000 mistakes. He knows he's not supposed to bet on games, right? He knows that. Even Ocho, we talked about it a couple of years ago. Guys were going through intermediaries, guys in the NFL was betting, hey, hey, homeboy, go bet this. Go bet that, bro. You making millions of dollars. What is it, about $500? Yeah, we bet our homeboy. But I ain't trying, I'm not trying to bet. I'm not trying to win no money like that.
Joe Johnson
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
I didn't even talk to my homeboy. Hey, man, what you think about this, bro? Cause all I know is somehow you're gonna get jammed up and you're gonna say, hey, man. Sean told me such and such was hurt, so I figured he was hurt. They weren't gonna be able to cover yada. Nah. Hell no.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
No, hey, I mean, hey, man, listen, some people just love to gamble, bro.
Joe Johnson
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
There are people like that I'm sure y' all came up with. I know some people like, yeah, like it, it don't matter how much money they got or don't got, they willing to spend it all. You feel me? They willing to gamble whatever it is they got.
Shannon Sharpe
So is that rush? Is that adrenaline rush?
Joe Johnson
Hey, and Uncle Joe, I don't see nothing about no adrenaline rush or no high when it comes to losing money, huh? Especially betting something where I'm not in control of the outcome. I don't understand it.
Shannon Sharpe
Well, he controlled it, huh?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
He controlled the outcome.
Joe Johnson
I mean, probably for the game that he bet on. I mean, betting on other things. I don't see how people do it. And I understand you. I understand you saying it's a high, it's an adrenaline rush, but losing what I have, No, I, I, I, I can't. I, I can't. I couldn't do.
Shannon Sharpe
I can't. That's what an addiction does. You lose all self control.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Whether you drink, whether you shop, whether it's women, it doesn't matter.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Whether you speed, that's what an addiction does. It takes over your body, it takes over your mind. And you feel you're in control even though you're not.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yep, yep.
Shannon Sharpe
That's what an addiction is.
Joe Johnson
Hey, I got a question.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Joe Johnson
Like my love for cigars and smoking two or three a day. Is that an addiction?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Can you stop?
Joe Johnson
If I need to, yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Yep. You can't stop that man.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Say he.
Shannon Sharpe
I guarantee you can't go a week without smoking a cigar.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Right?
Joe Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
You can't. You can't. You can't go. Would I get your macca lada latte or macchiato, whatever the case is. Whatever it is.
Joe Johnson
Yeah. Matal camera macchiato from Starbucks.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes. Yes.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, Ocho. And you need, you need that cigar smoke. You need it in there in your gums, in your lungs. If you don't have it, bro, you're gonna go crazy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Joe Johnson
Hey, that's, hey, that's a great question. Because it's something that I never had to do because it hasn't affected me as far. As far as playing concerned. Now that I'm retired and not playing, I'm still active, but I, I, that's, That's.
Shannon Sharpe
You drink a Red Bull every night when last time you had not have a Red Bull.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, but you know what?
Shannon Sharpe
Honestly? No, I'm not saying, I'm not saying all addiction, but an addition is, is something that you cannot control. Now sometimes we look at addiction where they're smoking, and obviously they're, they're like. Andrew, there are varying degrees.
Joe Johnson
Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Some addictions are bad. Where you losing, you know, you losing your family, you lose the house, you lose the car, you lose your kids tuition.
Joe Johnson
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
You lose your job.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Some people can function. Some people can, can, can. Can be an alcoholic or a function, right? And some people, they just go over the deep finger. Some people. You heard the term he's a functioning alcoholic. He's a functioning drunk. Hey, I had to. I've had to. I had teammates. They gonna come. They gonna come. They're gonna be. They're gonna have that sauce in them. Come to practice.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No doubt about it.
Shannon Sharpe
They showing up.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
No doubt about it. No doubt about it.
Shannon Sharpe
Friday, Saturday, just expect it.
Joe Johnson
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, bro. Just going in the shower. Hey, just try to get some of that out. Go to the sauna, you know, go. You know what I'm saying? You go try to sweat some of that out.
Commercial Announcer
Bro.
Shannon Sharpe
Bro, you smell like. Hey, you smell like somebody just pulled lick on top of your head.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey. Hey, Ocho, I. We had a dude on the team. They wouldn't, they would clean this mini bar out. He wouldn't even have a mini bar when we got on the road. So he'll come to my room. Hey, Jay, man, let me get a Little bit of this about your mini body. Yeah. He come hit everybody. Mini bar, bro. They wouldn't even have a mini bar in his room. Real talk. Yeah, real talk.
Joe Johnson
Hold on. Basketball player, Joe.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, basketball player. I ain't gonna say his name that my man's, but I had betted him one time. I bet him, like, $1,000, man. I bet $1,000, bro. If you go a week without drinking, boy, you'll be cold. Hey. Hey, Uncle Oo. Yeah, he about three, four days in, he was playing like ass trash. You hear me? Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
See, I'm about to say, I bet you put something terrible.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey. He said, joe, I can't do it, bro. I can't do it. I can't do it.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I'm about to say, hey, I had. Hey, they had. Hey, they had to do that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
They had.
Shannon Sharpe
I had teammates. They got to go out.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, got to.
Shannon Sharpe
They got to go out. They got to go out Monday night, they got to go out Tuesday night, they got to go on Wednesday night, they got to go on Thursday night. They got to go out. They got to. If they don't.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, they. They ain't the same, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
They're not the same.
Joe Johnson
You know what's funny is you might be right about. About it being an addiction. I don't know. I think it's more of a vice in general. More of an acquired taste, especially for me and cigars, but. Remember when I was sick?
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Joe Johnson
And I had that deep voice. I think it. My. My. That. That. That cold, that. Whatever it was, it was extended because I refused to stop smoking.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe Johnson
So I. I'm. That now I'm going to test myself. I want to test myself.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. You know, it don't make you no bad brother. Nothing, man. You still a good dude, you know what I'm saying?
Shannon Sharpe
Like, yeah, yeah, but everybody got advice, Ocho. Yeah, Yeah. I mean, some people. Hey, mine is. I. Mine is the opposite of nice, you know?
Joe Johnson
Hey, what's yours?
Shannon Sharpe
You already know what mine is. I'm cleaning up, you know, I'm seeking help.
Joe Johnson
Oc, ocd. Ocd.
Shannon Sharpe
That's one.
Joe Johnson
What's the other one?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
You know? Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Earn me loose. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, that's. Hey, that's why I stay to myself.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I stay home.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't go out. I don't go to the mall. I don't go no play.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, damn.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, we at the airport or somewhere. Hey, I just keep walking, Jordan, you know, try to get. Try to distract me.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I'M pulling out. I didn't see that. Why? You know what I was talking about? I don't know, but I just said I didn't see it.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
George say, she dragging a wagon, ain't she? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, look, I just. I don't think. I don't really think the ins. I don't think Texas Tech had any choice because they were teams. Like, I ain't playing you.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
I ain't playing you.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, take us to court. Think about it.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
And.
Shannon Sharpe
And the Texas attorney. The Texas Attorney general said we're gonna sue y' all if y' all don't play Texas Tech. And that let that sink in. That's it. Nah, bro.
Joe Johnson
So now. Now they gotta find a quarterback. Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Was he really like that? Huh?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
For college?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, they would. They went to. They made the College Football playoff last year.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Yeah, for college. Ocho, he probably. He probably gonna dominate in college. For real. Like, he. I think he would have been a hell of a, you know, quarterback wherever he played at, but.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah,
Shannon Sharpe
yeah. I mean, he got. I mean, they were looking at maybe a potential first round pick.
Joe Johnson
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. He liked that, so.
Joe Johnson
And now you get a better understanding on why they ruled the way they did. Because of that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
That's crazy.
Shannon Sharpe
So, you know, I mean, Ocho, you gotta. You. I mean, you addicted to the sparks, too, Joe. Jenna got hooked on him.
Joe Johnson
Yeah. Yeah. My problem is I'm starting to take two instead of one.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I'm trying to see. I'm trying to see why UNC had to put my business out there like that.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, my bad. You know what, Joe? Flip. You know what, Joe? You right. You right, Joe. I take that back. I'm sorry.
Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe is cool. Joe. We family, Joe.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. All right.
Joe Johnson
Family.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Dang.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm sorry, Joe. I'm sorry, Joe. You know what I'm saying? Hey, had Joe out there thinking he was in Year six. That's what.
Joe Johnson
Mommy. Here. Okay, okay. Hey, let me know where y' all doing the thing.
Commercial Announcer

Shannon Sharpe

Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, Joe, I got this one.
Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, Uncle Joe. Hey. Hey, speaking of. Speaking of Joe doing one on one, I seen Bam. I mean, Bam was sitting together in the. In the same suite tonight. You know, I had. You know, I had to ask him that question.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
What? What'd you ask?
Joe Johnson
Hey, Bam, boy, Listen, if we would have played one on one, you know, I'm already gonna whoop Joe ass. If we played one on one, what you think you'd do, man? Bam. Say the same thing you said, Joe, man, I'll whoop your ass. Well, you won't score nothing. Hey, I seen him a few times, man. I was standing on my tippy toes in the picture, man. The man still way. I'm like, well, God damn, you don't
Shannon Sharpe
realize how tall they are until you get up on them in person.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah.
Joe Johnson
Jesus.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Damn serious, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, but, you know, I'm trying. I'm trying to wean myself off them things.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah. It's all right, man. They don't make you no bad brother.
Joe Johnson
Don't they? Don't you good, too. Hey, wait, hold on, hold on. So that mean you addicted to him?
Shannon Sharpe
I ain't addicted to him. But all I tell you like this here, boy, when I get one of my system, yeah. I'll be standing like a Walmart greeter all day long. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, Ocho, you know, he want to put on a mean demonstration now. You already know. Yeah, hey.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes, sir.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Hey, you know, hey, first impressions are lasting impressions now.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, come on, now.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, that get him to come back very easy.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, baby, hold on. Are you sure you. You this age?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, that was. Hey, sometimes I gotta look at my driver's license because I can put that a mean demonstration.
Joe Johnson
Hey, where y' all shout out,
Shannon Sharpe
hey, Chad. Y' all just saying, you know, every once in a while I'm throw things in there because I'm thinking about getting on stage. Get me a little five, you know, showing up, laugh factor somewhere, and give me a little five minutes in.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe

Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I like it. You got your material together, all that, you know.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, a little something. I put little stuff together, little bits and pieces.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
I've been working all over the course of a, you know, years. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
All right.
Joe Johnson
You know, you got to try it in front of a smaller crowd first when you go to laugh.
Shannon Sharpe
That's what I'm saying. Look, look, you know, some. A little. Little offbeat night where they got like 25, 30 people up in there.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got.
Shannon Sharpe
But I got the chat right here.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
So, you know, if the chat be
Shannon Sharpe
laughing, I'm like, okay, I got some little pretty good material.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, yeah, that's How I do.
Joe Johnson
I like that.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, Speaking of Sparks, two days after the Knicks claimed their first NBA title in 53 years, Mikhail Bridges confirmed on a James Dolan issued a 10 weeks no sex ban prior to the team's big win. Ten weeks?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Damn.
Shannon Sharpe
Hello. I mean, I heard. You heard. Ocho, you know, the fight game. And Joe, you've heard fighters, they go away and no sex and they want to build that testosterone. Ten weeks.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
And you know, you know damn well none of them boys listen to that shit.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
NBA players, you don't think so? Ojo. The majority. Hold on. The majority of them guys on the Knicks, though, they married, Huh?
Shannon Sharpe
I ain't got nothing to say.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, y' all ain't got nothing to say? Y' all don't think. Y' all don't think them dudes. Y' all don't think they.
Shannon Sharpe

Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.

Shannon Sharpe
Every two or three days. I'm talking about every two or three hours. Damn. You talking about.
Joe Johnson
Hey, you know, you know what? When. Hey, Joe, I don't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm. I'm. I'm not as active as I used to be. You know, I'm one once every two weeks, maybe.

Yeah, yeah.
Joe Johnson
I don't. I don't know. I don't know what's wrong with me. You know, we family. I can talk to y'. All.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe Johnson
I know I play around a lot, but you can tell by my voice and my delivery. I'm not joking.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Like, you know, one, once, once every two weeks. Sometimes maybe, you know, twice in two weeks. I don't know why. I just. Maybe because I'm on the go so much. Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
And wifey, she ain't. She'll. She don't live with you, douchey.
Joe Johnson
I. I know she. She often it. It feel like she with me, you know.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Okay.
Joe Johnson
Okay, okay.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Look here. As I've gotten older, there thing, you know, I don't have the same level of appetite right I don't, you know, I don't work out like I want to, but I. That there.
Joe Johnson
Hey, hey, you know, you thinking, cuz I'm older now, Unc, I don't know
Shannon Sharpe
what your problem is. That ain't got nothing to do with me. Oo, you need to figure that out. You need to talk to somebody about that.
Joe Johnson
I. I'm just. I'm just thinking how. How it was. Hey, hey, hey, Joe. I'm thinking about how it was in my 20s and 30s.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
As opposed to how I am now where it's like, no, you know, most of the time I initiate stuff, but when it does happen, she has to be the one to initiate everything. I think age catching up to me, boy.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
You think so?
Joe Johnson
A little bit. I was.
Shannon Sharpe
Was that. Don't get me wrong, but I. I guess I can. I can afford to tamper it back, right?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You know what I'm saying?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, let's just. Usain boat still fast.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
He ain't what he once was, but he's still fast.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Right, Right. Yeah, yeah. I get your drift. I get it, I get it, I get it.
Joe Johnson
It might be something wrong with me, boy. I don't know.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Nah, ain't nothing wrong with me. You probably just want to go a lot. Got a lot going on, you know, I mean, you can't. Yeah, you already know. You can't be. Still can't. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Hey,
Shannon Sharpe
can't you be on the right day? Hey, hey, Hercules, Hercules, Hercules. Do the right thing.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
All right? It's.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, look, look, man, you know, Ocho, look, good times don't over either us anything. You know, I think the thing is that when. You know what, you know, being professional athletes and having. You're like, it's not the same. But you know, once you sit the. I might not even be hungry, right. Once you set the table, I will eat. I will eat a belly full.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, hey, let me get some of the mashed potatoes. Let me get some of them, you know, Let me get some Hawaiian rolls, you know. Hey, I take a slice of ham.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, let me get some turkey. Oh, oh, I take oxtail.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Cornbread too. I take a slice of cornbread. Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, There you go. Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
But I don't know what is wrong with you, Ocho, but maybe, you know what? Maybe your testosterone levels are low. You might need to go get your testosterone levels checked.
Joe Johnson
Hey, y' all told me to take them supplements and don't themselves help with that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, no, this. What this was going on. I'm starting to put two and two together. See, you eat a lot of McDonald's,
Shannon Sharpe
so it lowers your testosterone level.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Testosterone level because you ain't getting the proper proteins that you need in your body. Magnesium, sodium. Ain't no way you getting out. Hey, look, you ain't getting the right fibers in your body. Yeah, man, you need to get right, homeboy. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, you got to realize you were. You were an athlete, and so you had to build that testosterone and plus your adrenaline level. So you had that fight or flight. Think about how many times you had that fight or flight. Yeah, you just burned through that reserve.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Yeah,
Shannon Sharpe
Boy, I think you damn. Probably at zero now with yo.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, damn. Y' all sound like I ain't got no hope.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, yeah, you got hope now.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I'm just saying it's still time.
Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe, y'. All. Y' all supposed to send me the supplements to take, man.
Shannon Sharpe
That.
Joe Johnson
That provide all the magnesium and stuff.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, no, but your eating habits.
Shannon Sharpe
You cannot exercise a bad diet in a situation like that. The question is yours. Yeah, I mean, what do you want to do, Ocho? You want to be like. I'm not saying it's gonna cut. I mean, but it'll be better than what it is. Do you want your levels to come back to what they were or close to what they were? Obviously, once you hit 30, your testosterone level start to dip.
Joe Johnson
Hey, what. Doug Flutie and Frank Thomas taking that commercial? Nah, that's what it's about, ain't it?
Shannon Sharpe
That's. That's. You got to be careful with that. You got to make sure. You got to do blood work. You got to get all that stuff taken care of because, you know, black people, black men, especially black men, have a high rate of prostate cancer.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So you got to be careful.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey, hey, you guys slow down on them glizzies? Yeah, you gotta slow down, bro.
Joe Johnson
Hey, I had two at. At.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
See what I'm talking about?
Joe Johnson
Yeah, at the stadium. See, I'm talking about making big man. Making fun of me eating my hot dogs. But you ain't gonna. You ain't gonna dress it up or nothing. Oh, no. Somebody. Hey, hey, hey. They making fun of me because I'm eating my hot dogs. Playing. I mean, condiments cost. I ain't paying for that, too.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, man.
Shannon Sharpe
So guess what? If prescribed new sexual health patients get 15 their first order of sparks on a reoccurring plan, Connect with a provider at Ro Co nightcap or to find out if prescription rose sparks are right for you. Oh, you got to change your diet, bro. Cuz as you get older, you can't you. Because as a young man you produce bounds and bounds of 10.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yep.
Shannon Sharpe
As once you hit 30. Yeah, that's why you got to change something, bro.
Joe Johnson
And I'm going to hit 50.
Shannon Sharpe
That's why you can't lose weight like you once could. That's why you can't cut up like you once could. Cuz your body don't produce the testosterone that it once did. But that's why it's easy for a man to get in shape than a woman. Because a man has higher testosterone levels, produce est estrogen. That's why it's easy for a man. That's why you hear women say, man, you don't drop 10, 15 pounds in a month. Two months. Yeah, it take me a year to do you lose that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You have big muscles. Big muscles require energy. Energy burns fat.
Joe Johnson
Hey, the doctor, the doctor could describe some testosterone pills for your boy.
Shannon Sharpe
Now you would have to get blood work.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, I could do that. You know, I like, I like needles.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, but you got, you gotta have, you gotta, you gotta clean up your eating habits, bro.
Joe Johnson
Okay, I, I could, I could. I McDonald's once a week, then I won't do it like three, three, three, four times a week. I could do that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, but I gotta, I gotta, I gotta work.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, if you want, if you want, if you want to come back, if you want to put down a ring demonstration like three, four times a week like you once could.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, okay. Okay. Okay.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. He. He ain't ready to make that change.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, you ain't ready to make that.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I mean, I can tell. I could tell. I could tell. I could tell.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I see, I see the hesitation that. I see the hesitation.
Joe Johnson
Hey, listen, I'm. Hey, I'm willing to do anything to improve my life, you know, Any, anything, you know? You know, I mean, you know, that one time, that one time every two weeks is. Oh, hey, that's. Hey, that's a demonstration in itself.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Okay.
Joe Johnson
You know what? I kind of embarrassed myself in New York, bro. I kind of embarrassed myself in New York.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
What happened, man?
Joe Johnson
Well, hey, but about, about 50. 50 seconds to a minute, boy.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
A dud. A whole dud. Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
50 seconds.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Too excited.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, it was. Yeah, it was rough, boy.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Too damn excited.
Shannon Sharpe
Premature.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was ugly, boy.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey, Ocho, it Don't make you no bad brother, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Hey, Joe, honestly.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Yeah, I have now. I mean, you. I was much younger.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. I had.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, that's why you got to control your breathing. Yeah, Yeah. I be. I'd be thinking about something else. I mean, I'd be like, oh, man, that's an elephant. That's a treat. I can't be thinking about what I'm thinking, man. Please.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, it was tough, boy. It was sad, you know?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I mean, ain't nothing you can say, man. Just.
Joe Johnson
No, I tried to make an excuse. I was like, damn.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Hey, yeah, just roll over, take a nap, bro.
Joe Johnson
And she. She held me tight, though. She held me tight.
Shannon Sharpe
You already know.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, hey, Joe. You already know it's a bad time when she started just kissing it. Oh, baby, it's okay.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Just get off me.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, I was. I was a little discouraged, but just for her to hold me like that and, you know, rub my head and stuff, man, it's gonna be all right. So.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
She rubbing your back like you're a child, like your mama, your grandma used to do your back. It's okay, baby.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Damn. You ain't. You ain't bounced back.
Shannon Sharpe
You ain't.
Joe Johnson
That's what the testosterone come in at.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, yeah.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, you. You couldn't catch your second win?
Joe Johnson
Nah, I ain't had no. Yeah, it was rough, boy. It was rough.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, man.
Shannon Sharpe
See, you know, back. Hey, you know, back. Back in the day, you used to pull a double or triple?
Joe Johnson
Triple.
Shannon Sharpe
You. You can pull a triple shield Triple with no problem.
Joe Johnson
Hey. With no problem at all.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Now look at you. Now look at you. Take pull on the double shift, ask you to work overtime. You work overtime. I don't. Work two days straight as it is
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
out there fighting for your life.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hard, but it's fair. Sad, but it's true. Better you to me, though.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, no, yeah, it's all good. Don't. Don't make fun of me now. Don't.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't make no fun of you. Look, it could happen at any given moment.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, it's gonna happen to plenty of people in the chat, I'm sure, bro.
Shannon Sharpe
They could. They can relate.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
They can relate.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, but. But not at my big age, Joe. At my big age.
Shannon Sharpe
Just be. Just be glad. Just be glad it still work at you.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hello. Hello.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, you're right. You're right. Hello.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Right. Because I.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, it gonna be a time. Ain't no time soon when they ain't gonna be able to do nothing but look at OB Mama.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, man. Don't.
Shannon Sharpe
Or I get them two popsicle sticks of the rubber band. You put the popsicle stick together, that rubber band. That's all I got for you, mama. I'mma keep it whooped out. That's all I got. I'm sorry.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Oh, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, you got them old people. You see them on the porch? Joe and Oo, just rocking, rocking back and forth, baby. You remember?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, I sure do.
Shannon Sharpe
Just a figment of my imagination.
Joe Johnson
Damn. I'm gonna bounce back, though, man.
Shannon Sharpe
But I'm saying, go to the doctor, get your blood work done, let him see where your levels are. Hey, they. They got. They got something to help you out. Yeah, but the problem is, Ocho, once they. Once you go to the doctor and he get your levels back up, boy,
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
be hard. Gonna be hard to tame him, man.
Shannon Sharpe
It's hard to a. Gonna be hard to turn it off.
Joe Johnson
She got. Hey, don't she got insurance now? She got insurance.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Well, Cabo, see that wheel? See that wheelchair up in the corner? Talk about what? You got a wheelchair for? Tomorrow you'll find out.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, damn, man.
Joe Johnson
Oh, man. Hey, just. Just reminisce.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
How.
Shannon Sharpe
How. Cambodia. Ocho,
Joe Johnson
39.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, so she, like seven, eight years younger than you. I know, Joe. Your people. Hey, and then, you know. Hey, where. Please.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. What? What? What?
Shannon Sharpe
You get that sweet spot by 35 to 45.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, man, you talk about. I'm talking about they. They thinking the wheelchair. Rubber, You know, wheelchair. I got no.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah,
Shannon Sharpe
Ocho. Going to the doctor.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Get your blood work done.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, I got you. Yeah, I got you. I got you.
Shannon Sharpe
You'll be all right.
Joe Johnson
I got you.
Shannon Sharpe
I'll be all right.
Joe Johnson
I do. I got.
Shannon Sharpe
But just go ahead and tell her beforehand, because she gonna be like, well, you. You ain't never performed like this before.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Yeah. I mean, no, no, they know, you know, in the beginning, you know, when you first meet.
Shannon Sharpe
This ain't no first meet. This is when you 22. This is when you're a teenager. Yeah, Ocho, I could summons it up,
Joe Johnson
you know, on the first time.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Oh, Joe.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
She gonna look back at you and say, what is wrong with you?
Joe Johnson
Yeah, Come on now. Come on, now.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, Ocho. Like your boy. They all in the closet looking upon who helped you. Ain't no way. Ain't no way you did this by yourself. That is just me. Hey, so just go ahead and say, hey, I'm getting my levels checked out. Make sure. Everything's okay. X, Y and Z. Yeah. Hey, your best year, what you have 1600. That's a 1900 receiving yard season. That's what you about to put down.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
115 catches, 1900 yards, 16 touchdowns.
Joe Johnson
I like that. I need to get back to that. I like that.
Shannon Sharpe
There's a lot of discourse about the spurs not shaking hand with the Knicks after a loss. Robert or chime and said people get mad at athletes when they don't shake hand. When you go back and you start the 2000 back, nobody shake hands. We didn't care. We just lost. And we don't talk about. Want to talk to you. So when people are like, that's just not sportsmanship. I'm mad. I just got my ass whipped. And I'm not trying to be friends with nobody who kicked my ass. So I don't understand the people never played sports get so upset. Oh, he didn't shake hands. I just lost. I don't want to talk to you right now. I know a situation. A guy got left off the Olympic dream team because he didn't do what Joey noo. Shake their hands. Oh, my goodness. And everybody, you see how they do? You see how they move that gold bros on, yo.
Joe Johnson
Oh, yeah. Oh, they, they gonna move it now. They're gonna, they're gonna move it every time.
Shannon Sharpe
Depending on who everybody said. Because every time.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hold on.
Shannon Sharpe
Every time Michael Jordan lost, he shook hands. Yeah, with the Celtics kicked his ass. They swept him. Every time. When the pistons beat his ass, he shook the hand. And everybody talking. Oh, my goodness. I love how y' all pick and choose mama mentality and Jordan until it comes time to look when you lose.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, but you want to talk. Oh, but you want to talk? You, you ready to be in somebody face when you win?
Joe Johnson
Yeah, absolutely.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, so you now you want a kiki key? All I'm saying is this. Nobody likes to lose. When athletes, we're very, very competitive. That's kind of what makes us how we're wired and kind of what makes us who we are. Right. But I can't get behind this. I can't get behind this.
Joe Johnson
I can't. Right. So, so you, you, you don't like them not shaking hands.
Shannon Sharpe
My thing is, is that when you win, do you shake hands?
Joe Johnson
Yeah, they do. Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay, so you all about winning. So you. So you supposed to win all the time, right? So what about the team. So what about the team that when you win, they come shake your hand?
Joe Johnson
Right? I got you.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, I'M just like I said, I just know people. I remember and I saw in the last dance and everybody talked about it and I guess as long as you, as long as you. They killed Isaiah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, they killed Isaiah. And y' all know damn well it kept him off the dream team. John Stockton is a phenomenal player. John Stockton wasn't better than Isaiah at the time of the selection. Isaiah was a two time champ and he was a finals mvp. Damn, he led his team. Isaiah was the best, was the, at one point in time the best player on that team. John Soccer was never the best player on his team. Carl Malone was.
Joe Johnson
Yeah, yeah. I mean, at that point, Uncle's all about sportsmanship. You know, we, we always, we learn that. Aau, you know, when you're young, regardless of what sport you play, win, lose or draw, you always shake your opponent's hands. Always.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Hey, hey. But when you look at it with a young spurs team who was very emotional.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, Yes.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I, I, I, I think, you know, they took this series to heart. I think it was personal for the, for those guys. And with them being so young, bro, you know, I just think they, they, they took the emotion to be like, the hell with it. And y' all finna celebrate on our home floor too.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Damn, you could have stopped that. Yeah, you could have stopped him from celebrating.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
You're right.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you could have that. I used to tell people all the time when I was on cbs, I said, y' all don't want to dancing in your end zone. Keep him out of it, right? You don't want him doing your dance. You don't want him doing what he doing. You don't want him standing up on the star. You never see to celebrate until he get his ass in the end zone. Well, you let him in there. Look this with anybody. Cause I, I, I got to be, I got to be gracious in victory and in defeat. Yeah. Cause you're not gonna win every game. You're not. And you know, now guys, you see guys, guys going, it's, it's 10 minutes left in the game and they get blown out. They go dap everybody up because they, they up. Excuse me. They up out of there. As soon as the game over, they go, yeah, yeah. And I guess that's the way I said, look, man, I ain't want to stick around. I just want to go and give them their love. It's. You know what? I shouldn't get upset. It's a different time now. And Shannon, you just gotta accept it. These guys don't look at things the way you do. They don't see things the way you do, and they're not gonna move how you move. I just have to accept that. And you know what, guys? Tonight don't shake hands. Y' all do. Y' all do what y' all do.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
You think you. You'll give a damn they shake hands or not Now?
Shannon Sharpe
I don't. I really don't.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah. It's a respect thing, though. Like, you know, when you respect your opponent, bro, after you come out of Hard Fall series, regardless of the fact that you feel like you. You probably really, really do feel like you should have won the series, right?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, but.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
But. But, you know, showing respect is part of the game, bro. It's part of the game. Okay, Ocho.
Shannon Sharpe
So what. So what about. So what about women not talking? We okay with that, too? Well, I just lost the game. I don't want to talk.
Joe Johnson
He didn't talk again?
Shannon Sharpe
No, I'm just. I don't know if he didn't talk again, but I'm saying he did it that one time.
Joe Johnson
Oh, that one time.
Shannon Sharpe
My thing is, so what? When I win, I'll talk and I'll shake your hand, but if I lose, I don't want to talk, and I'm not going to shake your hand. So that's what. So is that where we are now?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, basically.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
That's what they let. That's what they. Letting them get away with.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
I mean, we just, you know, gotta. Gotta keep it 100 now.
Shannon Sharpe
So what about that Jordan mentality? What. What is it about they love Jordan so much. Everybody talk about Jordan.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
What did he do? I mean, maybe there was a time. And you know what? I wish I'd have known this, because I would have looked it up and see, had Jordan ever dipped out on an interview, had he ever lost a series and didn't shake the guy's hand? Every time he shook. He shook Boston's hand when they whipped his ass.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Milwaukee when he whipped his ass. The Pistons when they whipped his ass. As a matter of fact, Isaiah wasn't the first one to do it. Go back, look at the Celtics when Isaiah then beat them and they left the court. But see, y' all don't want to talk about that. Y' all don't want to have a real conversation. But I'm old enough to remember.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're gonna have a real conversation, because all he did was go get better after he got his ass whooped. I'm Gonna go get better, and I'm gonna come back better. And that's what he did each and every year.
Shannon Sharpe
That's all you gotta do. But he understood that was a part of it. No matter what you think about him.
Health and Product Advertiser
Good.
Shannon Sharpe
And I think he's phenomenal. He's one of the two for me, one of the two best players. I got Braun first, but, hey, if you got Jordan first, I ain't debating you anymore. That's your thing, because you're not moving. This Jordan LeBron debate is just like a President Trump debate. Those guys that voted for him, you can't move them.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So stop trying. If you look at the deal that he tore up and he just signed, he gave them more money than President Obama gave him. But that's all right. We did that from a position of strength. Who cares if I got strength or not? You didn't lose no lives, and you didn't have to get help rebuild a country and give them 20 billion. But anyway, that's neither here nor there, right? In this situation, like I said, I'm cool with it, Nacho. I just understand. It's a different era. It's a different time.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
These guys don't see things. Guys pick and choose what parts of a guy they like and what they don't. They disregard it. So they love Jordan's game and the branding and everything he did, but they don't. Look at that part that when he lost, he still shook the head.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Yeah. But I think it's got a lot to do with a lot of these teams, too, Uncle. Oo hold. Holding these players accountable, too.
Joe Johnson
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
No, yeah.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. Hey, hey. Because as professionals, bro, we. We have obligations, whether we know it or not.
Shannon Sharpe
Of course you do.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. And talking to the media is one of them.
Shannon Sharpe
Absolutely is.
Joe Johnson
Yeah. Win or lose.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Win, lose. Hey, you think I want. I mean, look, I. And y' all know I love to talk, but, man, we got out there and got beat, and I know we played like some sloth. Hey, guys, they beat us, we played bad. But I don't want to say. It's just all us. They had to be a reason why we were playing bad.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
Because we didn't practice like this, and we thought we had a great game plan coming in. They were the better team. Yeah, they better. Well, what could you have done differently? Probably, like block, tackle, run the football. Other than that, nothing. What the hell you want me to tell you? But I just understood. It was a part of the game. Yeah, it is. And it's Hard when you lose. It is.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
You know why it's hard when you lose? Because it's hard to critique yourself. It's hard because guess what? After a good game, when the media running there and you know they running there to get a good sound bite from you, it's the same damn way when you play like horse crap. They gonna run in there still because they wanna. They still want a sound bite from you.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
It's hard for players to be like, man, I would. I was trash tonight, bro. Like you, you, you. You rarely had it. It's some guys who take accountability, and those are guys that we love and we enjoy hearing from. Because you know they gonna get better, they gonna come back better. But.
Shannon Sharpe
But you know what, Joe?
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
What's that?
Shannon Sharpe
When a guy play good, he don't ever say, let me look at the tape and see what I did good. It's only when he play bad. Talk about. It's hard to tell right now, but I have to go back and check. You notice that? Oh, yeah. Would a guy play good? You look at a quarterback, go throw for 400, a receiver catch for 200. Running back rush for 150, a couple of touchdowns.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
You don't never say, well, what happened? You know what? I need to go back and look at the tape.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Let them lose. What they say. Every player say, I need to look. Every coach, every player, I need to look at the tape. It's hard for me to say right now.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
And they try to save a little criticism. They don't want to have to criticize. Man, our quarterback weren't hitting on nothing tonight. That's what happened. You know what I'm saying? Oh, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, But I get. Like I said, Ocho, Joe, it's just a different era. It's just different time now.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah. And
Shannon Sharpe
you just gotta accept it. The sportsmanship is what we were taught. How we. I remember, you know, pop water. We used to lose Ocho. And guess what? We get in a single file line, don't we?
Joe Johnson
Hey, straight down, shake, shake. I remember them days.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Hey, and then coach make you get in line even if you don't want to shake hands.
Chad Johnson (Ochocinco)
Yeah.
Joe Johnson
Well, you gonna shake hands after this game. Line up on that 50, everybody.
Shannon Sharpe
Yep.

Podcast: Nightcap
Hosts: Shannon Sharpe & Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, with Joe Johnson
Date: June 16, 2026
Episode Focus: Unfiltered analysis on college football's biggest scandal in years, NBA Finals locker room drama, and debates over evolving sportsmanship.
This episode kicks off an eventful summer in sports as Shannon ("Unc"), Ocho, and Joe Johnson tackle major headlines from college football (Brendan Sorsby’s betting scandal), the NBA (Knicks’ championship run and a locker-room sex ban), and a viral debate in sportsmanship (the Spurs snubbing the Knicks). True to form, the episode is a blend of sharp analysis, locker-room humor, and candid conversation on high-profile controversies, athlete addiction, and changing generational norms in sports.
[03:54–23:59]
“He admitted to betting on games—even games in which he participated… It’s hard to say I’ve made 9,000 mistakes, though. I know I ain’t made 9,000 of the same damn mistake.” [16:24]
“It’s hard, bro. It’s hard to really trust somebody under those circumstances when you’ve committed something like that. Especially in the sports world—there’s no room for that.” [10:32]
[29:10–36:34]
[39:56–44:28]
“Ain’t no way none of them boys listened to that shit!” [40:20]
[57:56–66:33]
True to Nightcap’s flair, the conversation is candid, humorous, and at times unfiltered. The hosts share personal anecdotes, rib each other about aging and male health, and do not shy away from controversial takes. There’s nostalgia for “old school” sports values but recognition of changing dynamics in modern athletics.
This episode delivers a raw, insightful look at the complex interplay between athlete conduct, institutional discipline, generational values, and real-world consequences. The Sorsby story is dissected with both moral gravity and locker-room levity. NBA Finals gossip and the sportsmanship debate provide a cultural pulse-check on where sports—and its stars—are headed. If you want the unvarnished, funny, and sometimes brutally honest truth about today's biggest sports controversies, Nightcap keeps you covered.
