Bobby Bones
Joe, go ahead, baby.
Joe
I say explain for me what, what is the tax system so tax.
Bobby Bones
We got to get Joe in there. Next one. Joanne, you can do it.
Joe
Listen, I know I could do it because look, when y' all saying these workouts, I prom. My dad was a professional bodybuilder and he works out every morning, 4 o'.
Podcast Announcer
Clock.
Joe
I want to get real in there. Yo, listen, we talking about reps. We're
Bobby Bones
talking about hella reps.
Joe
I know, I. I underst. Debo, I'm trying to tell you the one person that I want to go, I'mma come for sure. I want to come. And I want to bring my dad.
Bobby Bones
Bring your daddy with you.
Debo
Yes.
Joe
I promise you. Because my dad, he trains like you guys. I need to get back right? I need to get back right with the training, the pushing, the failure, the 150 reps, all the victim weight. The victim weight, my dad, he bout all of that. So when y' all are saying that. I know, because the training that I started lifting when I was in the seventh gr, my dad was training me and my brother. So all of this stuff that you saying makes complete sense where it's more the mental, you know what I'm saying? Like, you gotta push past failure, you know what I'm saying? You think that you're done, you're not done, you got another rep in you, you know what I'm saying? You got another four, you could push it. So that mental state is everything. So I know I stopped working out a little bit since I retired. So I get back in the gym. Debo, chill out, chill out. I definitely, definitely, definitely need to get back in the gym. So guys, what's up with the tax system? I definitely wanna come out there. Just let me know a little bit.
Hottie
So every. After every. It's tax after every set.
Joe
Okay?
Hottie
Push ups. That's the baseline. Okay?
Joe
Okay.
Hottie
So let's Say we're doing tricep push downs and the count is 200.
Joe
Okay.
Hottie
On your way to 200, you stop to take a breath. Like you put the weight down for a second. That's 20. That's tax 20. So on top of your push ups at the end of 35, you initially had. Now it's 55.
Joe
Now it's 55. Okay.
Hottie
If you close your eyes, it's 20.
Debo
Jewelry, Joe.
Hottie
Yeah, the jewelry.
Joe
Oh, yeah. Listen, it's no time to come in
Bobby Bones
there with no jewelry on.
Joe
Ain't no reason to handle jury on when I'm in the gym.
Hottie
Yeah, not. And yeah. And then whatever else we decide to tags. Really? Some boy, some we don't like it. I'm a taxi.
Debo
Unnecessary conversations. Not paying attention to the workout.
Bobby Bones
Hey, man, they text anything?
Joe
No, no, for sure.
Hottie
I just whatever. Because sometimes it's certain. Like if I see somebody just acting like they tired, but I could tell they're really not.
Debo
Or yes.
Hottie
Moving a certain way for the camera. I'm just taxing all that. Taxing everything.
Joe
How fast can you tell that somebody is going to quit or not ready for the gym?
Hottie
Five minutes. Five minutes. First set. First set extensions.
Joe
Because when you tell somebody 200, then you'd be like, what you say? Hold on.
Debo
That. The first thing that we usually see is when the person says, how many left? So say we do tricep extensions and we'll get. And you'll have 43. Or let's say 40. You know how many I got left? 160.
Ice Cube Promo Voice
You can see somebody melt.
Debo
I don't. I don't want anybody out there. I'm a stickler for the kids. And it's not about intimidation. Then you'll see like, oh, 160. Yeah. And don't stop because now you got to do your push ups. You going straight from that exercise push up board.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah.
Debo
It's no walking around. Don't try to take no bathroom break. Stretch out of your.
Joe
That's what I'm saying. But people aren't ready for that because you galactic acid. What if your arms.
Bobby Bones
Dude, I'm Joe. I'm gonna tell you right now, like, honestly, it's a point. It's a point. Where ain't it the point of.
Joe
Can y' all tell?
Bobby Bones
I had to jump back into who and what I was that built who I am. That. That person I was. Yeah, I had to jump into that. Like, matter of fact, actually, we got a clip where I'm doing pull ups, bro. Where I'm Doing. I'm doing Rose and I grabbed this thing, bruh, and I couldn't. I couldn't get this son to move, bro. The first time, y' all got that clip. Y' all got that clip of me doing them Rose. Whatever the compliment.
Hottie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
I couldn't lift this the first time, dude. I can do it. And in my mind, I'm like, I know I can do it. I just don't want to dig into it. Why don't I want to do. And I'm like, you know what? To hell with it. I gotta dig into it. So you go and you. You grind through it.
Debo
Literally.
Bobby Bones
That's just what you do.
Hottie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's no other way to get it done other than to be like, you know what? I'm done. I, I. Before I even got to that workout, dude, I had said to myself, I had already said to myself, I'm not digging into that. I don't want to go there. I don't want to go there. I don't play all this time. I don't want to go there. And they got me into that space where I'm like, you know what? It. I'm gonna go there.
Hottie
I watched. I watched your switch. I saw when you switch. I saw it when it happened.
Debo
Hey, Joe, listen. No. No bs, right? I know me. I'm a. I'm a. I know how to poke the bear, so. Yeah, right. I know. I studied him. I know he has that switch, right?
Joe
Yes.
Debo
The thing about it is, his switch is he's almost like Bruce Brandon and the Hulk. He gotta learn to control it because he can go way off the deep end.
Joe
Yeah.
Debo
I don't give a. Because I need it. I need you to be that man.
Bobby Bones
Yes.
Debo
He won't be the Hulk. I'm Frank Castle. We gonna tear some up.
Joe
Yeah, I'm right here with you.
Debo
We was doing the push ups. Yo, he. He was cursing that he looking at me and how. That's hot. He Right, Really? We up in the head. But I said, debo, take it there. I said, go back to that dark place. And I looked at hottie. His eyes. I said, what the. He had a transformation. That's what you. And I'm like, yeah, but. My chain.
Bobby Bones
What.
Debo
What I'm trying to say is, Joe, he started off very positive, like. And it was an intimidating good positive, like, if you know Debo or you study him, you'll see. Okay, yes, his facial expressions are intimidating, but that's just him, right?
Joe
Yeah.
Debo
Because he's a man of. Of substance. He's not no pushover, so he can't prepare. He was warmed up when I said, oh, he's already warmed up. That he had to tap into that bad man. He had to tap into what we call. We call it a kill jar, right? Take all this stuff that's happened to you, put in that jar, and sometimes you got to take the top off and let it go. And when he did that, the whole workout changed. I said, that's who I wanted. I respect the nice guy. I need the bad man today. Go find that man and bring him to me. That man doing the push ups. He felt that man doing a T bar. He curses out doing the lap the rolls. That man was for a while.
Bobby Bones
Play some more of them clips, man. I know we got some more lined up. But, Joe, when I say bro, it, and I'm looking for him to give me something back, and he wasn't giving me nothing back. And that was just pissing me off more like, I want to fight, bro. I want to fight this. I'm like, I want to fight this. Give me something like, I love you, bro. I'm like you. I'm like you.
Joe
Y' all was working in it.
Bobby Bones
The volume play, man. Let it play through. Let's go. There it is, right there. Right there. Right here.
Debo
Okay.
Bobby Bones
How'd he get right? He ain't allowed to have these straps on, but he got the straps on. You change, you change, you change locations. What you can do, baby.
Joe
Let's go.
Bobby Bones
This right here is funny.
Debo
Joe, listen, though.
Bobby Bones
Hey, howdy. You caught it. Stretching them lasting. Them lasting legs, man.
Debo
I see why they find you. Yes, sir. Sir.
Joe
Yes, sir. We get on that plane.
Bobby Bones
When you get on that plane. Yo, man, they got a banter back and forth. That's beautiful, bro.
Joe
Bro, it's love.
Bobby Bones
Yes, yes. Who negative here? Yes, he negative. Yes, he got the work done. How he negative, huh?
Ice Cube Promo Voice
He switched the grip.
Bobby Bones
He switched locations. He's speaking.
Debo
He switched locations. Crap.
Bobby Bones
Cramp. My body started cramping, bro. I'm trying to do a pull up. I can't even lift my leg up because it's cramping. Like, I can't even lift my legs. It's a cramp in my. In my hamstring, bro.
Debo
Back in my heyday when I played safety according.
Bobby Bones
Good, you started telling all these lies.
Debo
And I try to backpedal now. Everything going there, pop fills the weasel. I'm not ashamed. Overrated.
Bobby Bones
Where the shirt at, unc? Pull the shirt off.
Debo
I'm 400 weeks out.
Bobby Bones
400 weeks out.
Hottie
In the morning, though.
Joe
Oh, that's early.
Hottie
That's his fault.
Bobby Bones
He said 10 and five. He did five. He said 10 and five.
Debo
That's the one they had.
Hottie
What?
Ice Cube Promo Voice
He did what?
Debo
He said get away with sitting down.
Bobby Bones
You do as I say, not as
Debo
I do because of that attitude. What side you on, bro?
Bobby Bones
So on that one, I guess I was supposed to do five. I heard 10 and five, so I did 10. And then the other one, I guess it was, it was supposed to be switched around, but you know, hey, man, listen, I was. I had jumped into the bag that they wanted me to get into.
Joe
Yes.
Bobby Bones
And it was, it was, it was, it was over with for me. And I was. I was gonna do whatever the hell we was doing and. And if I sat down, then the hell with it, you know.
Joe
Hey, yeah, I'mma ask y' all this. So the Ashton Hall. Do y' all remember the Ashton hall workout?
Hottie
Yeah.
Joe
He gets clowned on the Internet. What do you think he learned from the workout? Did he do good out there?
Hottie
He did, yeah, he did great. I was. Ashton came in to work. Like a lot of people come in to find content. I've noticed that some people that come, we trained like there was no cameras on. We was just getting to the money. He ain't complaining. His security guard jumping to workout. He was training.
Debo
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Don't bring no cameraman with you because they gonna throw that boy in that workout.
Joe
Now who would y' all say surprised y' all the most?
Debo
I think Ashton surprises because he didn't have to live up to his Persona. Nobody don't give a about.
Joe
Yes.
Debo
You don't give a about no goyard bag like when he first came. Because I hate to say his reputation precedes him. Think he's arrogant? You think he's soft. Yeah. All this and it's because he's a well mannered kid with money that's successful. So if you don't know him, he's soft. That don't soft. But when you come in that gym, hey, bro, be you these cameras.
Joe
Yep.
Debo
Got a chance to really be around two people that didn't give a. About his money. We didn't ask him. For his information. We don't want no sponsorship, nothing. We came to work like we gonna bring the dog out of you. What happened was he got a chance to leave his Persona at the door. That go yard bag. We about to get to it. And he got a chance to really earn his keep. And I said, bro, this is a difference. When you working out by yourself. You're working out with your personal trainer, they're going to spoon feed you. You don't give a. It's men amongst men. He had. He wasn't deadlifting. He came with us and started deadlifting and started going crazy because he got an adrenaline rush. Because in their energy is transferable. When I probably do some, I'm up next and it just keeps going. So for the first time in a long time, he was able to be himself without being judged. Nobody had their hands out, nobody disrespected him. He got treated like everybody else. And then once you walk in, it's not about how much money you got, it's not about your stature. You can be the problem. Give a who you are. You come in there, you a regular person, just like us. And it just brought symmetry. So he shocked us. I'll say Matt Rife did good.
Bobby Bones
I was gonna ask you about. Matt Rife
Hottie
salutes my wife. I did not. I didn't expect him, bro. He came the same thing. Came in there. I didn't know what to expect. But he's a dog, bro. You work hard, he work hard. Some of these people might not be this. You come in, they'd be the strongest. But for what they can do, they max it.
Joe
Yes.
Hottie
Like you get the maximum output and that's really what matters.
Debo
He wasn't trolling, he wasn't training. It's certain people that come because he had a publicity to gym and they want to be a part of the gym because they want to go viral. And for me, I could be home with my family. I could be training for myself. Real talk pissed me off when I got people in there that really want to get to it and for the cameras, but for them, for their soul, for their body, it's a different type of. It's a different type of bonding. Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Okay. Yeah.
Debo
A couple times like when we trained with Depot, one of the best parts of the training was the conversation after that. That's the real growth. That's the real. We gonna put in this pain together and we're gonna sit down and talk about it. Right. So when we have these kids come in, some of them don't know what to expect until we sit that. We had a couple kids cry while working out.
Bobby Bones
I think that's, that's. That's a big part of. Of. Of Yalls.
Debo
Yep.
Bobby Bones
Involvement or transformation from the actual workout to what, what. What comes from it and that, that, like I said that that physiological and psychological aspect of it and basically what I think you're starting to get into is more of the mental aspect and the mentorship of it. Yes. And how many guys that you see, you know, you come in there and you look at them and you say, oh, he's not gonna be able to do it. But how many of those guys you look and you say, oh, he about to be a dog. This could be a dog right here. And how many of those guys are coming in there and you're just like

You know what? He's trying to work through something. I can see it. I can feel it.
Hottie
You can see it in their face. It's also a lot of times when you meet people, like even as men, we all got a little wall up. Yeah, you're not seeing past the wall. When you suffer together, you go through pain. And now we're all dying here together. Everybody lets that wall down. So we sit down after this when we. That's why people start crying. That's why sometimes their emotions come out because it's been suppressed for so long and they never to let it out. So finally they let their wall down. They're around people who care about them, who could give a shit less if the cameras were on or off. Yeah, and, and, and I think it brings it. I. I think it brings the best out of people. And then they're able to say, you know what, bro, this has really been bothering me and this helped me a lot with that. I'm starting. They start to figure it out like Shizzy.
Debo
Shizzy was a. He's a young LA influencer. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that brand, but he came and the pressure on him to be perfect, the pressure on him to just do all these things. And he came in and while we filming, he like, I know y' all want to break me. Y' all want to see me fall like every. Yo, we not here, bro. We're gonna make you better. So actually stop. I didn't care about the filming and we hugged him and he started crying. I said, bro, let that out, bro. We men, we all should. Nobody here to break you, bro. We all go through. But no matter what quit. I think that was one of the most emotional things. And when destroying came, he had a baby. I said, bro, if you quit during this workout, you expect your wife quit to quit during labor. You're Gonna quit doing a workout. But you wouldn't ask her to push a baby out. What if she say I don't want to do it. And she how the am I gonna make you, bro? You say things like that. It's a reality. So it's like, oh, for us, it's not about breaking nobody. We just don't want to see you quit. That I've been wanting like, how did this. We gotta go. Because my mentality is a little bit different. I'm a firefighter. I can't afford to quit. No, his mentality is way different. This is how he feeds his father, his mother, how he feeds himself. If he quit, he goes broke. If I quit, people die.
Bobby Bones
Yes, sir.
Debo
So we can't afford to quit on no aspect. Whether it's being influencer or fighting fires, you gotta fight through that. Ain't no say, hey, chief, give me a water bottle. Give me a Gatorade in the middle of what a fire. And the lady's on the third floor that I'm going to get her. If I lose my life in the process. So be. This is what I sign up for. And that's his same thing. He does this to feed his family. So if he pushes to the extreme and son happens, this is what he signed up for. Everybody's not willing to risk their life for their lifestyle. They just want the lifestyle.
Bobby Bones
Yes, yes, yes. I think, I think, I think that, that, that that's a big one right there, man. Everybody's not risk willing to risk their life for the lifestyle. Like it's is certain aspects that come along with everything that you do. Assumption. The wrist is what it's called. And, and that a lot is sacrifice, whether it's, you know, time, money, emotion, blood, sweat, tears, whatever it is. And I don't think a lot of people understand that concept. I know you guys got the, the clothing brand. I see it back there. The, the. To the death, man. How long y' all been doing that? What, what, what, what, what? How y' all come up with that?
Joe
It's the TDD.
Debo
Yeah. Since.
Hottie
That's been. Since 2021 too. Like the same. Around the same time where I started filming. It was just, it was something I always like my father always used to say to me, like anytime I was going through anything, he's like, well, it's going to be like that till you die. He's always say that, like I'll complain about something going on in school. He said, well, if it's bad now, it's going to be like that till you die. So from like, to the death, bro, I'm just gonna go do this to you know what I'm saying? I'm gonna deal with it. Whatever happens, I'm a deal with it anyways till I die, the whole thing. And then that shit quickly came up in the gym because every set was like, oh, so you die to the death, bro. And then it transferred over and we made it a brand, a community, a bunch of like minded people. I like to look at it less like a clothing brand and more like a community. It's everybody that. Everybody that I've never seen some like, I don't even want people wearing it if they're not going to live the. Live that type of life, no question. Well, at least they invested in themselves to the point where they're getting in the gym every day. And like, whether you're trying to be
Bobby Bones
a body, you got to start somewhere, baby, you know? Hey, howdy, you. I heard you, you did a little D1 soccer and you got a degree in. What is that? Civil engineer?
Hottie
Yes.
Bobby Bones
Your soccer game, where, oh, where is it at?
Hottie
What you mean where is that?
Bobby Bones
Where your soccer game in comparison to. To like a professional amateur.
Hottie
Like, I'm right up there with them.
Bobby Bones
Right up there with.
Hottie
I believe so.
Debo
He could have went.
Hottie
I'm a little heavy now, but I like. No, I know.
Bobby Bones
I seen. I seen you had. Victim weighed 171 pounds.
Hottie
Oh, I'm 225 pounds right now.
Bobby Bones
He was. He was 171 pounds.
Hottie
Joe.
Bobby Bones
I've seen it on his. I seen it on his story.
Hottie
Yeah, back then, back then, that victim
Bobby Bones
where he was running around there kicking the ball and everything, okay. He up there flexing all this other stuff with the little sweet hair and everything laid back, greased down and everything,
Joe
you know, that's crazy.
Bobby Bones
D. Bo different now. He's different now. I got a hold of him.
Hottie
Look, when you come, it's gonna be me and you versus the two old heads, bro.
Joe
Yes.
Hottie
Yeah.
Debo
Oh, it's over with.
Joe
Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
Joe ain't got it.
Ice Cube Promo Voice
Let me tell you.
Joe
Let me tell you what I got, bro. We ain't talk about the weights, the drive and the push. You gonna see me go to another level. That's what I'm saying. Yes. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go till I can't. I'm gonna go.
Debo
Let me ask you a question. What's stopping you from training?
Joe
Nothing.
Bobby Bones
Thank you.
Joe
I'm looking.
Debo
No answer to the question. I'm.
Joe
Not gonna start Back. I can start back training.
Debo
This is. This is real talk, right? My speak about sacrifice. God has blessed you to play in a national football league. Something that I dreamed I could have went to. Right. And I was legit in high school and college, but I was kind of went on vacations to other colleges that kind of derailed that story.
Joe
Yes.
Debo
I'm trying to say is God has also blessed you with a podcast, right?
Joe
Yes.
Debo
With that being said, are you comfortable enough not to hit the gym?
Joe
No.
Debo
So what the are you waiting for, Joe?
Joe
And I know I'm. I'm. I'm gonna do it right after this. I'm starting back today. I promise you. Today,
Debo
you heard me.
Joe
Because I'm not what I'm not gonna do. What I'm not gonna do is. What I'm not gonna do is. What I'm not gonna do is I'm not gonna lie to. Uncause. We got grown man. Grown man conversations. And I know I got a gym downstairs that I know I got one in this. I'm making an excuse. It's. Excuse. There's nothing but excuses. It's nothing but excuses. I was being lazy. So I'm literally starting back out today.
Debo
All right.
Podcast Announcer
So cool.
Debo
When you do it, record it.
Joe
I'm gonna record it for sure.
Ice Cube Promo Voice
Every.
Joe
Every morning I'm back in the gym
Hottie
today, you know, I'm a check.
Joe
I'm gonna get your. No, we. Debo, give me the number on the cell phone. On the cell phone. Oh, yeah. Now, Debo, you done messed up now.
Bobby Bones
What I done messed up with because
Joe
now I haven't stopped.
Bobby Bones
You think I ever.
Joe
I know now I gotta catch up.
Bobby Bones
You think I ever stopped? Stop playing with me. You know what make it so bad, Joe? You know what make it so bad?
Joe
Come on, man. He acting like I ain't got.
Bobby Bones
I ain't working out about five days a week. I ain't even at seven.
Joe
All right, but for real, for. I'm bringing my pops out there too. I'm bringing Pops to the gym. I'm bringing Pops to the gym.
Bobby Bones
Pops to the gym. Because that's the person that can actually work out. That ain't victim weight.
Hottie
I believe in you, Joe.
Joe
I think.
Hottie
Thank you. I hear they be saying the same to me that I don't like, yo, there's a clip. Maybe you could put a clip up. But, Joe, I was at the. The fanatics fest in New York, minding my business. Okay.
Joe
Yes.
Hottie
And moving peacefully. I turned my head around the corner. I see people looking at Me with this face. This face. You know, the face.
Joe
Yes, yes.
Hottie
Myself. I was nervous. I was like, oh, I was about
Debo
to turn back out.
Hottie
I'm a holla at y'.
Joe
All.
Hottie
But he caught me. He locked my eye. I had. I had to go up to him, and he started pressing me, bro.
Bobby Bones
I did not press him. I. I didn't even walk up to him.
Hottie
He walked right in front of the people. You live, Debo.
Joe
You was sizing them up. I was right next to you.
Bobby Bones
I might have took a couple steps.
Podcast Announcer
I'm just saying.
Bobby Bones
I didn't press him questions.
Debo
You ain't getting that text message.
Joe
I don't got.
Bobby Bones
Did I ask a question? I didn't. I didn't. I asked the question, right. Come on.
Debo
It was. You know what? I cannot tell a lot. It was a. It was a. I'm starting to sweat because I'm nervous, too. The question was asked, Sir Debo, but it was a little of the aggressive. Like,
Hottie
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Bobby Bones
I was just trying to find out
Debo
the other way.
Bobby Bones
I said. I said. I said, hey, howdy. You ain't get my text message.
Hottie
You did not say it like that.
Debo
You lying.
Joe
Wow.
Hottie
I have the video.
Bobby Bones
Can y' all pull the clip he's talking about? But I'm just telling y', all, I said. What I said was, hey, you ain't getting my text message. I don't know exactly the tone in which I said it because my memory is bad. I had concussions.
Debo
Oh.
Joe
If you asking that, the tone was messed. The tone was up, Debo. The tone was aggressive. Had to be.
Debo
No, Debo.
Bobby Bones
It could have been probably.
Joe
Hey, bruh, I can already. I see it now a thousand percent.
Bobby Bones
Listen, it might have been aggressive with. No, because I've been told that sometimes when I say things, it sounds aggressive. I'm not. I might have been trying to make that one aggressive. I'm not gonna lie.
Joe
You're a thousand percent.
Bobby Bones
When I get back into it and I think about it, because I was feeling some type of way, and I just seen him and he. He laughing and joking. He's slapping hands and all that with everybody and all that. And he just gonna make like, I ain't texting. You ain't seen my text. That's how he said it.
Hottie
That's how he said it.
Joe
I know that.
Debo
Hey, Joe. It didn't stop. It didn't stop there. So now we in the bar, we feeling like little mini celebrities because we ain't got no money. Joe, everybody, they got on jewelry, they got alcohol. I'm asking for complimentary glasses of water. A lot of people like this. And I'm like, yo, he found us in the bar.
Bobby Bones
Yes, Joe, you was there, Joe. We was walking through, man, and I just happened to stop by that happened
Joe
through and see him again.
Debo
Had to check on the table. Is you okay? I'm like, no, I can't.
Bobby Bones
Hey, Unc, you really. You really looked like you was okay. Wasn't that. Ain't that right, hottie?
Debo
Oh, wow.
Hottie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Oh, wow. Yeah.
Debo
Yeah. It was a very positive event and environment.
Joe
Great event we talking about,
Bobby Bones
bruh. I'm telling you, man, when that boy Wimby came through there, man, he made me feel disrespectful like that. I don't like looking up at nobody like that. He was like, I'm kind of. I'm like, man, I might want to just.
Joe
What'd you say?
Debo
Did y'.
Bobby Bones
All.
Debo
Because that was our first time there. Did y' all enjoy it?
Joe
That was our first time there.
Bobby Bones
I'm gonna tell you this. It was my first time there. And I don't. I don't really drink like that no more. And I, you know, I'm older. I don't know. Maybe because I wasn't drinking or maybe because I'm just not into that no more. You just standing around.
Debo
Yeah, that's how it was.
Hottie
Y' all getting old. That's what it is.
Joe
Yeah, it was a lot of moving parts.
Debo
Fact.
Hottie
This is the fact. That was for me. There it is. Oh, wait, we said, we said, we said.
Bobby Bones
Oh, I drink.
Debo
Yep, I drink.
Bobby Bones
You sneaking pain.
Debo
I had to get to it.
Joe
I was.
Bobby Bones
He said, give a. What?
Ice Cube Promo Voice
He did what?
Bobby Bones
He said, you do as I say, not as I do. Y' all want to bring up all the aggressive clips. That's crazy. Oh, you put chalk on.
Joe
It is.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, he put chalk on. He put chalk on. Hey, get your 35 drop down. Yes, sir.
Hottie
No chalk is allowed. The straps usually aren't.
Joe
Oh, chalk is allowed. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Hottie
Four, placing some chains on the bar. They want barber rolls. I just woke up eight minutes ago, bro. Like, put the straps on, you make an excuse.
Joe
Look, that's why me and you, we gonna work out perfectly. We gon get right.
Bobby Bones
Listen, Joe, ain't no straps for you. Come on.
Hottie
Early in the morning.
Bobby Bones
Hey, listen, man, we're gonna let you do all that, okay? The push ups. The push ups is go get you. I'm telling you that right now.
Joe
I'm locked in.
Hottie
I'm focused on top of that, Joe. So if you doing your push ups, let's say, let's say.
Bobby Bones
Oh yeah, listen to this.
Joe
What's up?
Hottie
Not one stop. If you stop in the middle of your push ups or like put your knee on the floor or something, it's another 20. It's another 20 on top of the 30 or the 55 that you owe. So that number add up fast. Before you know, you might be at 250, 260 and looking bad.
Debo
All push ups. And we don't close the gym till you finish.
Bobby Bones
Right.
Hottie
All right, Joe.
Bobby Bones
And you can't touch the ground.
Joe
How long does the workout how long does the workout normally take?
Debo
Till somebody die?
Joe
See, that's what I'm saying. That's the ones. But that sound like my you to failure. I didn't give me a number.
Bobby Bones
There's no numbers. There's no numbers. So you do get a number. I take it back. You get a number at the beginning, but that number can go up.
Joe
That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's, that's them workouts. I'm, I'm here for it. I'm here for it. But there's no, there's no ceiling. They just can keep moving the ceiling and you just gonna have to keep going.
Bobby Bones
No, you set? As soon as they tell you we got 200, we got, we got, we got, we got 35, we got, we got even. It breaks down to tens and fives like we were doing. But if you trick it off, it's a tax.
Joe
Okay? No, that's what gets you. That's what gets you the taxes.

Tax in the beginning is 235. So it's 235. That 235 could turn it to 350 with a couple little long breaths and a little break in between.
Ice Cube Promo Voice
Yeah.
Debo
Shove response. That's on you.
Joe
That's on you. You determine. I gotta be on pace. I gotta be.
Bobby Bones
Listen to me, listen to me. Come in there with your mind ready that I am going to go through hell.
Joe
Yes.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to have to push through it. Don't come in there like I did, where I'm like, you know what I'm gonna come in here, I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do. I am not digging into my Bag. No, that worked for, like, the first three sets. Nope, that was it.
Joe
I already know what time it is, Debo. I already know what to expect, so I'm gonna already come in.
Bobby Bones
Listen, they taxing the hell out of me without telling me about the tax knee hit the ground. That's attacked. What you mean attacks? 25, 20 more, huh?
Joe
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Me touch the ground, bro. They didn't tax me so tough. I said, you can text me all you want to. You can't get. You can't get. You can't get nothing out of. You can't get blood out of. Turn up, baby. I'm like, y' all tax all you want. I ain't got no money. I'm like.
Hottie
I'm like, yeah, he had the color. He had the color. Water.
Debo
The color. Water. Hydration.
Bobby Bones
Drink water Hydration, Joe. Hydration is supreme. Joe got to.
Hottie
I know you sweating. While we training. While we training. Ain't no time for us to go take. Get a little water break. We do that after. We just go.
Bobby Bones
You listen. You go kill yourself. I already did a whole hour of cardio, and you want to tell me I can't drink? Man, kiss my black ass. Imma get me something to drink.
Hottie
Nah. But you know what it is? You know what it is? Especially even with the influencers like, you come in there.
Joe
The.
Hottie
The. What really happens is you find out about yourself, bro. No, you really learn about yourself because everybody's. Everybody coming like, oh, yeah, it's just a workout. I could do this or.
Bobby Bones
No, it's not, bro.
Hottie
Everybody's on some.
Bobby Bones
Everybody I knew looking at it. It wasn't just a workout out.
Hottie
Yeah, my kids.
Bobby Bones
I said, bro, I'm not, dude. No, I'm not, bro. I ain't got that in me no more. I don't even. I don't even desire it like that, son. I don't lost. I'm not. I'm telling them. I don't lost every competitive bone in my body. I ain't got nothing. I'm telling them everything. Dad ain't going there, bro.
Joe
I'm telling you. This Debo. Everything, man.
Bobby Bones
Pulled that out. And I'm like, God damn it. Now I gotta go there.
Joe
What y' all doing the workouts with the people that makes every difference, because you can tell somebody what to do. You know what I'm saying? But you showing me, like, man, I'm hitting these two. I got. I got a hunted, so you got to go hit the hunter. So having y' all do the workouts,
Hottie
17 year old kids in there doing it too. People come in and the 17, our 17 year old kids will drop them off, drop them smooth facts right off
Debo
the jump, right off the jump. We'll, we'll. They'll jump it and they can't understand. And I'm like, yo, he's 17, he's 18. But they've been there, the condition, they've been doing this and, and our condition for them was, okay, I want y' all to do something besides this. So now they go to football camp for Montclair State, August 11th. We got two of them going out of my nephew AJ and that's the type of stuff we do. We, we. It's about you growing with us, so we can help you to grow. Go whatever you like. We, we support it. If it's positive, we're going to support it because it's, it's. This is how I look at life. And how do you tell you when you leave, you can't take none of this with you. So certain things you got to give away, and that's knowledge, motivation, and sometimes time, because you can't. You want to be remembered by good deeds and you want to be representative by the goodies that you did. People keep it going. So that's what we try to give back to the community all the time. And as we try to get these learning lessons, these life lessons, like, once you leave here with us, take that with you for the rest of your life. So that's, that's just our, that's what we try to do.
Joe
Hey, who and what inspired you?
Debo
Me. Yeah, I understand. I, I grew up like in the 80s, so I'm older. So all we have is Rambo movies. What the Is so funny.
Hottie
He's gonna get fired before the iPhones came out.
Debo
No, but it was a little bit different. Like, all we had was rock.
Hottie
Go ahead, bro, tell the story.
Debo
You got a lot of money.
Bobby Bones
Why are you sliding away?
Debo
It was. Everything was about being in shape. And of course I played sports. And for me it was just, it was something that was different. I never did drugs. I never, I never, I never. I hardly ever drank. Never smell. I just wanted to always be in shape. So you got a figure like Rambo and all that. Everybody was in. Had a nice physique. And then.
Joe
No.
Debo
I started going to Diamond Gym when I was 16 and I felt like real life superheroes. Like. Oh yeah. Because even when I was in the, you know, doing good and doing bad, I always stayed in the gym. And then I thought as I Got older, it was therapy for me mentally. Like, it's certain things, if you tell your girl, she'll use it against you. You tell your homeboy, he'll think you weak. You can't tell Mommy because she gonna tell Daddy. Like, so. Certain things as a man, you got to deal with internally. And I went to the gym, and I used to always say, okay, I'm gonna turn my pain into power. Whatever I go through mentally and physically, I'm gonna take that on myself in the gym, and I'm gonna make me a better person. So that's. That's just. It's just my inspiration was, like, looking at Ronnie Coleman, Dorian Yates, of course, CT Fletcher, and honestly speaking. And this is not. No. Because Debo. Debo was on the. On. On. On the live. But watching him transition from football to getting in shape at his age, because we kind of the same age, he's still playing with 500. He's still doing them Debo things. Listening to Machiavelli, throwing the weights. I find inspiration in that. And I'm like, yo, if he could do it, I could do it. Because you never know who's paying attention to you for the good, not just for the bad. Oh, he got a bad attitude. He was getting fine.
Joe
All.
Debo
He's an athlete, you understand? Y' all mad Cause y' all can't control them. Yeah, man's in shape, so you want to piss test them every week. I pay attention to everything because you control fear. And this man is invested in his body, but he made his body a weapon. Just because he made his body a weapon does not mean he's a threat.
Bobby Bones
Yes, sir.
Debo
That was my biggest thing. And I watched him put the work in, and then to go to the gym with him. He's training at 4:00' clock in the morning. I said, howdy. 4:00 clock in the morning. 30 or something like that. So for me, I'll just say, like, my biggest inspiration was to be healthy. Because in my hood, everybody's high. It's a lot of junkies. It's a lot of, you know, it's a lot of bad stuff going on. So that was my positive. Away from the hood.
Joe
I got you.
Debo
I always wanted to be different from everybody.
Joe
Good stuff. What about you, Hattie?
Hottie
My inspiration. Yeah, Honestly, bro, was always just like, my whole thing was creating a better situation for my family. It was just bad. So my thing was, I was trying to play. I was playing soccer. That was my whole thing. I was gonna go pro since a young kid. I'M training. Like, I was. I would go to training in the morning, and then midday I had the practice with the team, and then at night, I was going to the gym by myself. I did that my whole life. Yeah, I told my mcl and then, bro, all I knew, the reason why I got so heavy in the gym was because all I knew was, like, my physical output. Like, I related physical output, how hard I work can get me here. So when I lost that and I wasn't playing anymore, I was like, all I knew how to do was physical. I didn't know how to, like, I'm trying to get to it and make this better for my family, but all I know is physical. All I know is, like, that type of work. So I just put all that into the gym, bro. And, like, that's why when he told y' all the story, like, he, like, he called me pretty boy. And then I asked him to work out. No, he called me pretty to the point where I'm. I'm really. I'm really going through it because of my knee. I was depressed. I wanted to him up. That's why I said, yo, I hit up my man. I said, yo, tell the old man, keep calling me pretty boy. I want to work out. We're gonna see how pretty I am. That's a fact.
Joe
That's a fact.
Hottie
That's the truth. Because he was doing it every day. On my bad days, you know, you're having a bad day.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Joe
Calling you pretty boy.
Hottie
I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. Not just pretty boy. Rib shot. Oh, like pretty boy. And he walk away. And you're getting like. Like now being tested, you know, because it's true.
Bobby Bones
How you coming back from that injury, man? How you told me he did that to you?
Debo
Yes. All right, I'm gonna answer both part. Yes, it's true.
Bobby Bones
I did it.
Debo
I hit him a lot, and I do. And now, yeah, I actually, I at. The funny thing is, I tore my. My pet muscle in 2003 at Montclair State benching. And then I. I kind of re aggravated the tender. Then the tendon popped off. So I met a good doctor at Summer Health, Dr. Vasquez, and he said I could repair it. I'm like, bro, it's been Tor since 2003. So it was 20 years of scar tissue and then had shriveled up. So they repaired it, they brought it over. So I'm on my 9th week post op. I've been out to sling for 2 weeks. I'm slowly getting Back in the gym, I can't go full throttle because they said it's gonna be like six months. But oh, yeah, I explained to the doctor I need it. I cannot, even if I go to the gym to walk on a treadmill or go to the gym and watch them train, I need it. It's a part of. It's a part of who I am. And I don't think people understand that. I know as athletes, when you get hurt watching people want to feel play. And then you guys, the thing about you guys getting hurt, money's involved, your career is involved, your stats is involved, but it's also a mental toll on getting hurt. And people don't see that aspect of, damn, I can't be in the gym. I'm losing weight, I'm losing strength. It just played with me mentally until I got my rap around it. And honestly speaking, I had to. You said something to us when we was in. It was in Pittsburgh and also when I spoke to you when we was texting Dming, be patient. So I had to look myself in the face and like, damn, if I'm telling all these kids to be patient, I got to be patient. So I was patient for six weeks. God, Lord, willingly I was able to get out the sling. So now I'm starting to rehab back and get back to it. But just doing something little means a lot to me because I'm staying active. So now it's going to be the challenge of being better than where I was at.
Bobby Bones
That's a build up, that's a process. Everything take time. Anything worth having takes time. And it takes a little bit of pain and perseverance to get to it.
Hottie
It's different for us. You know, most people, bro, most people, honestly, they get like fomo. They. They feel like they're missing out. When people going out to the club here, going there, they feel they want to be there. Like, he really like. And I'm the same way. You get fomo. When I see people at the gym and I'm not there, I'm like, yo, they in there working and I'm over here. Like, I'm on my account. I get up and I'm going. Uncle used to go live every day at Diamond. Sometimes he wouldn't even call me. I see him go live. He there. All right, It. I get up, put my shoes on and I go. I'm saying. And that's so. It's a different circle that you surround yourself with and people that you're around. Yes, it could be. It could Be that it could be left field. I want to go to the club. I want to go here. I want to go. Threw everybody out. Or it could be this, you know what I'm saying? You choose what you kind of fall in love with.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, definitely. It's the. The company you keep will. Will speak to the person that you are and. And the things that you do and. And what it is that you. You. You want to do. Aspire to be and everything else. So, you know, what we want to do really, though, is we don't came to that mark. And we want to thank you guys, man, for coming on. We appreciate you. We're gonna ex. Set up this workout for Joe, myself and my father. And hottie with your father there. That way it's three old heads.
Debo
Yes.
Hottie
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Hey, if y' all ain't know Joe
Joe

Bobby Bones

Joe
27, hottie. I'm 37.
Bobby Bones
Okay. I got. I got kids. How the age? Okay. So I might bring my son with me too, just in case, you know what I'm saying? And matter of fact, we're gonna set it up. We're gonna set it up so we could do it here again. Because I like getting up early. I don't know. I don't know about. I don't know. I don't know about all that. You know, that other stuff y' all do. I got. I like getting up early, and I like having certain things, you know, I gotta have. I gotta get my treadmill.
Debo
I gotta be able to walk.
Bobby Bones
I gotta. I gotta. You know, I gotta be. No. So what we gonna do is let you. Joe.
Joe
Yes.
Bobby Bones
What it's like to go through this. I'm already. Remember what it's like. And I'm gonna be ready for it this time.
Joe
I know we're doing it for show, and I need.
Bobby Bones
I'm going to the dark number after this. Before I even get there. Like, I'm going. I'm going. I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna switch it over. I'm gonna try and switch it over. I'm saying that right now, but, you know, I'm saying that right now, but the switch over, actually, it takes a little bit of pushing, you know what I'm saying?
Hottie
You know, get there fast. No, I know what pisses you off now. I've already learned you there.
Ice Cube Promo Voice
