This is Chelsea Handler from Dear Chelsea. Every week the news gets worse, the world gets crazier, and Yamanika is here to tell whoever's responsible, you're the problem. Do you know I just out who Sydney Sweeney was? If he got a bunch of women, then I should have a bunch of men do better or do less so I don't have to do so much.

I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history. These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else. Like the time Paul McCartney spent in a notorious prison, or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of. Or that time Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped. Ted Bundy. Listen to Disgraceland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Shannon Sharpe
Obviously, I'm embarrassed. Someone that is extremely, extremely private. And to have one of your most intimate details, the audio heard for the entire world to hear. I'm embarrassed for a number of reasons. People count on Shannon Shayshay, Media Club, Shishay Nightcap, espn. There are a lot of people that count on Shannon to be professional at all times. And I always try to be professional at all times. Even when I'm behind closed doors, I still try to remain a level of professional, although I'm in the privacy of my own home. And I'm very disappointed in myself. Not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age that engage in activities.
Stephen A. Smith
But.
Shannon Sharpe
But to have your most intimate detail on the audio to be heard, I'm disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down. My kids. I reached out to them, I called them. I called my sister, my friends, obviously, my friends reached out. But, God, this was not staged. Came in, I threw my phone on the bed, gazed in an activity I did not know IG Live. I've never been on IG Live. I've never turned IG Live on, so I don't know how it works. And so all of a sudden, my other phone is going off and people are calling me FaceTime that I've never talked to a day in my life on FaceTime. And it didn't. I'm like, why are y' all calling me FaceTime? And after a while, Jamie Fritz, who's been my longtime marketing guy, he finally got through to me and he says, shannon, you on IG Live. I'm like, doing what? You know, I'm like, what about you Live for I ain't hit no IG Live button. He says they can hear. I like. I'm like, so now, Ocho, you know, I say, ask for patience. He said, they can hear. And now I'm starting to get agitated again because you called me and say I'm on IG Live when I know I didn't click myself on IG Live. And he Said they can hear me. I said, hear me doing what? So it sounds like you were having sex, man. My heart sank. It dropped. And obviously I run. I run my accounts, but Jordan being the good Samaritan, the good soldier that he is, Jordan the one that cut it off because, hell, I didn't even know it was on. Jordan cut it off. Jordan put the message up. And then after I called my agent, I called my agents, the agency. I called ESPN after I, like, I just got this good, Tell them the truth. I said, I just got to tell them the truth. My phone wasn't hacked. It wasn't an. It wasn't a prank. It was me being a healthy, active male. I mean, y' all thought I was bull driving. Hey, hey, I'll get it in real talk.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Joe. See, I don't. Man, I'll be lying.
Stephen A. Smith
Okay, Come on, man.
Shannon Sharpe
You know I hit one early this morning.
Stephen A. Smith
Come on.
Shannon Sharpe
In all sincerity, I'm extremely embarrassed that a very, very private, intimate situation. The audio can be heard. And I'm extremely. I'm extremely disappointed in myself. Two minutes, five minutes before I came on. Phone rings. It's Cat. Cat Williams. So I'm all. I said, yeah. I said, yeah, bro, what's up? The first thing out of his mouth. Guess what he said. Ocho. Wow, you ain't gay today. Hey, listen, Come on.
Stephen A. Smith
And this is. And this. This is the funny thing about it. Now, you remember all the people talking trash and saying whatever they had to say, trying to assassinate your character, that you might be this, you might be this or whatever it may be. So, hell, I mean, I'm sitting back, I'm thinking, well, here. Hey, it was a goddamn Michelle. It wasn't a Michael. It wasn't a Michelle. It was, you know, it wasn't a Michael. It was a Michelle.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Stephen A. Smith
You know, and. And, you know, as we. We human. We human now. Now, something that. That we all partake in. We all partake in horizontal and vertical activity. That's everybody. That's everybody in the chat. Now. I can attest to that. Now, what we. What we don't do, unless you are a.
Shannon Sharpe
A.
Stephen A. Smith
Or if you're in that field of. Of porn and only fans. And at times. This is why I always tell you, you need to evolve with the times. Now, you're not very good at technology.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't do anything. I don't technology.
Stephen A. Smith
So you at times would. Well, you've done it to me. Like you. You, you know, hit your phone and your butt down me by accident and don't even know you're doing it.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Stephen A. Smith
You know, so I. I can. I can understand where the mistake came in at, you know? So again, I was. I was. I was upset. But then I also remembered that you're not very good or you're not very technically savvy with phones and computer equipment, all that stuff. So I gave you a little grace, but I was still a little upset. I was a little hurt. But the fact that it was a Michelle and not a Michael. That's my dog.
Shannon Sharpe
It's never been. It's never been a Michael. I think the thing is, Ocho, for me, is that you. My thing is my grand. And I. Immediately after it happened, and I'm driving, and I'm thinking to myself, I just remember everything. My grandfather. My grandmother said, they say, boy, you. You made up. You messed it up, not clean it up.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
And so what I really hate is when people have to answer questions for Shannon Sharp. Ever since I've been able to talk, I've been able to answer questions. My family, my friends. You are going to have to. You got to ask, man, what was Unc doing? Why did he do that? What happened, Ocho? Where was he?
Stephen A. Smith
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
My sister, my mom, my brother, my kids. People that shouldn't have to answer for Shannon. Shannon's grown. Yeah. Shannon 56.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Still get it in, y'. All. See. But anyway, I'm just saying. Don't y' all just say. Oh, y'. All. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Okay, what it is.
Stephen A. Smith
Listen, you.
Shannon Sharpe
Wait.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, listen, You.
Shannon Sharpe
You.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, when you.
Shannon Sharpe
You.
Stephen A. Smith
You talk about you was. Hell, when you was. Well, we said, ain't nothing wrong with your boy. You talk about your hips. Ain't nothing wrong with your hips.
Shannon Sharpe
I told you, ain't no. Hey, ain't nothing slow about but his walk. I can't move like I once could.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
But the hip's good. The hill. The hip, solid. Yeah. The doctor told me they'll last 50 years. They said them hips will still be good when you gone.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
But I. I just. It. It was. It's tough, obviously, being in a situation like that, because that's something that I've never been in. I never in my wildest dreams. Even the wild, like, man, what could possibly happen to you that would make you the most embarrassed? This never appeared on my radar. Yeah, it never appeared on my radar. But the fact that in the process of. That you hurt people. Yeah, that. That. That's. That's. You embarrass people.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, you.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, I try to tell y' all say, oh, man, we gotta have that look there. There have to be a certain level of professionalism at all.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, that's the word. That's the key word right there. Because you got on me. You got on me good about professionalism. Yeah. Again, this is. This is where the grace comes in.
Shannon Sharpe
News sites and agencies, man, when y' all stop reaching out, I know what y' all trying to do. Y' all trying to look who see who I follow and who follow me and try to put two and two together. Y' all involving people that ain't got ish to do with this. Y' all not gonna figure it out, right? Y' all not right. But what y' all can do, y' all can get on this roastmark row.com nightcap and get 15 off your first order. That's what y' all can do. But you don't. Don't bring people. If you have definitive proof and you want to reach out and they have a conversation with you, okay, that's fine. But to arbitrarily just call people, because her name might be Michelle, or her name might be Nichelle, or her name might be. Come on now, way better than that. Don't. Don't. Don't involve people. Come. Y' all ain't call me, call me. But when you involve people, that doesn't have anything to do with it. That's where I have the problem with. But it's. Look, like I said, Ocho, I'm sorry I put you in that situation, because I know you're gonna get. I mean, the jokes are going to come. You're going to have to answer questions, man. Man, you think did that on purpose? You think that was staged? Hell, no. I mean, listen, might do some stage. Unc might do some stuff for pranking, but that ain't one of them.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Most definitely.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, do that.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah. The.
Shannon Sharpe
The.
Stephen A. Smith
The joke. The jokes are flying, obviously. I'm not sure if you've seen Instagram, if you've seen Twitter. The jokes are flying, Unk. The jokes are funny. Hey, Unk, they getting on you, boy. I'm about. I'm talk about funny until about. I was on a plane catching up to what was happening. And, boy, one thing about Twitter and black Twitter and their creativity, boy, listen, if you want to laugh, if you. If anybody was having a bad day today, scroll through Goddamn Twitter, boy. There's some funny on that, boy. It's some funny. It's some Funny stuff.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I didn't, I did not. Man. Come on, man. Now, so what y' all gonna do? Y' all gonna try to find out every Michelle that I've ever talked to. Every Michelle, Every Michelle in, in, in la, in Atlanta, in this place.
Stephen A. Smith
Really, Honestly, I was, I was thinking of all Michelle's that it could possibly be. I'm thinking Michelle Pfeiffer, you know, I'm thinking K Michelle. I'm thinking, I'm trying to think of other Michelles that, that are, that I, I, I would know and think of that, of, of somewhat of a high, high tier, top tier, high caliber type women that, that you would give an opportunity to, to, to bungee jump in like that and, and be able to say some of the things that you were saying, you know?
Shannon Sharpe
Is it, what was I saying? What was I saying?
Stephen A. Smith
I hear you was like, you gonna, you, you're gonna take this dick. I'm just saying I ain't never heard you talk like that. I ain't never heard you talk like that. No. Now what we do got to work on is ain't nothing wrong with your hips, you know, but we got to work on your cardio because you was, you was breathing heavy. You shouldn't be breathing that. You shouldn't be breathing that heavy. So we got to work on your cardio. So. Oo, when you lift weights, we got to get you on the card first.
Shannon Sharpe
Real talk. Hey, Oo, I was, I was, I was already knee deep for about 25.
Stephen A. Smith
Right, right, right. I mean, you were kind of short too, in there too, huh? I mean, you was about what, a minute? Minute, minute, Five seconds.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, no. Oh no, no. Hey, this ain't no YouTube short, boy. This a full feature, okay?
Stephen A. Smith
I'm dying.
Shannon Sharpe
Come on. Oh, come on now, don't do that.
Stephen A. Smith
I'm just, I'm just making sure. Because now it's out there to the world now, now it's out to the world and most, most of the time when something like that happens, you don't know what's going on, you know. So now you're gonna have people come coming at you sideways, you know, they want to see if the feature is really what it's what it's advertised to be. So you, you in a kind of good position. It's, it's, it's somewhat of a bad thing, I think. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. But what it, what it does do.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I'm embarrassed about the. Oh, damn. That's my most intimate moment.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah. And. And that now. Now you got to understand the attraction and. And the curiosity from the female species that's going to occur now. And wanting to experience.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, they want to go. They want to go a couple of rounds with the champ.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, they.
Shannon Sharpe
You know, if you have. If you have an allergy, like if you're allergic to peanuts, you're allergic to shellfish, bee stings, ants, or something like that. Ocho, you keep an EpiPen on you, right? I keep these on me. So if I. Hey, I'm just telling you, if y' all ever see me sideways like this here, I don't snuck you.
Stephen A. Smith
But you. You know. You know what? Also, I'm happy about what you have.
Shannon Sharpe
What you mean you. What you have? Hold on. What you mean, what you happy about?
Stephen A. Smith
Let me tell you why, you know, Let me tell you something why I'm happy because I know you really well. I know your character. I know this is not something that you would do. I'm happy to see that you in good spirits. And I'm. I'm being dead ass because an event like this happens for someone that is as private as you. That's always been private. And you always talk about protecting yourself, protecting the brand.
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Stephen A. Smith
And for something like this to happen, I didn't know how you would react. I didn't know how. How you would deal with it mentally because it's just totally out of character for you. So the fact that you can. Come on, you can apologize, express yourself and be able to explain to the people that it was a mistake, obviously, because you don't know how to work technology and you still in good spirits. That's a. That's a good thing. And some at. You can laugh at the situation in the mistake that you made.
Shannon Sharpe
And I don't cried enough, Ocho. No more tears.
Stephen A. Smith
You cried.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. Because I'm. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for my circle. I'm embarrassed for the people there. There are people. Not. Not everybody, but there are people out there that hold me in high regard and look to me as a beacon, as a role model.
Stephen A. Smith
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
And I let those people down.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
But I'm human.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
Although I try to. To. To. To. To strive for perfection. There's no such thing. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm a testament to that, that there's no such thing as perfection. I stay to myself, Ocho. And you know, I try to stay to myself. And you know, I don't Put my. I try not to put myself in situations where people. Cause I know how I am. That's why I don't be around people a lot. That's why I'm not out and about, because I know how I am. I know me. So I try not to put myself in a situation. I'm trying to be as private as I possibly can.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
And in trying to be private, I made a huge. A huge. It wasn't a mistake. It was. It was erring judgment or whatever. I, you know, I tell you what. From now on, my phone will be in the car. My phone will be in the car.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So I show hope none pop off. I gotta call. I gotta call 911 because, you know, nobody have landlines anymore, right? But my phone, I'm have to run down. I'm have to run out the house and get. Go to my car unlocking and, and dial 911 and people gonna be acting. Well, what took you so long, sir? Hey, I don't know if you noticed, but there was something, Something that happened. And of all days. Of all days that it happened on. Yeah, man.
Stephen A. Smith
Wait, what's the day? It's Wednesday.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah. I wish that was the only thing that would have. That happened on, on this day. Yeah. I got to go back. I got to go back and get me a flip phone, because when that
Stephen A. Smith
flip phone closed, just closed everything closed. Yeah, man.
Shannon Sharpe
This, this, this, this here. You have to, you have thing, man. This, this, this apple. And I don't know how to work. And I would ocho had even if it. They really. It. It had been on for another 20 minutes because I would have known how to cut it off.
Stephen A. Smith
Right?
Shannon Sharpe
Hell, I didn't even know how to cut it on.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
So when I finally got in touch with Jordan, Jordan said, boss, I cut it off. I said, you did? Because I was like, well, I don't even see IG live no more. He said, nah, boss, I don't cut it off. And I don't, you know, took it down. Yeah, I like, I said, anybody. He's like. So my next question. I said, you think anybody saw it? This man, he was like, balls. Really? He like, yeah, they saw it.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I was like, oh, man.
Stephen A. Smith
Say I, I, I understand the embarrassment on your part from, from that perspective, but there's a, there's another perspective that you can look at where you don't have to feel too embarrassed, you know? You feel me? Because you was here when you was. Well, you hear me? Huh? Now, if it was an embarrassed Performance, then there's a reason, not a whole.
Shannon Sharpe
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah. I'm just telling you. I'm telling you. So the embarrassment part, you don't really have to feel bad about yourself. You can. You can go places. You can walk around with your head high. Women gonna look at you different. Because if they didn't know. Natty no ocho. Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
Real talk, they put. They a. They call these draws for the hall of Fame. These draws go into the hall of Fame, you know, when you have an outstanding performance. They want the jersey, the cleats, the glove. Oh, these draws going to the hall of Fame. I ain't lying to yo. For real talk.
Stephen A. Smith
I'm. I'm glad. I'm glad you. I'm glad you feeling better. I'm glad you're feeling better, but I'mma go back upstairs.
Shannon Sharpe
I go. I'mma go back upstairs once I'm done, and. And then. Because it's just. Oo, man, come on. Oo. You know me. You know how private I am.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, I don't think people get the level of privacy.
Stephen A. Smith
I think everybody know you. Everybody that is close to you understands. Everyone that's been in your life or been around you, whether it be teammates, friends, associates. Everybody knows how private you are. That's why when it first hit me, and I'm reading after I. When I. When I. When I got off set in Philly, I'm looking at my phone, I say, no, hey, no, no, Unc. Not Unk. Not my Unc. That was just chastising me, you know, a few days ago.
Shannon Sharpe
You can't get over that.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, no, I'm just saying about, you know, about, know, being. Being a professional and all the. But again, mistakes happen. So that's why I'm giving you that grace. Like I was given grace at being afforded a second chance at what I love to do. You gave me that opportunity inside the NFL gave me that opportunity. EA Madden gave me the opportunity ESPN has given. Give me the opportunity. All the people that. That's endorsed and sponsor me have given me that second chance at life. So who am I to sit here because you made a mistake and not give you that same grace I was given? Now we can't do it more than once. Now, if you're a repeat offender, now, we got a problem.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, I'm gonna repeat that act. But the phone gonna be in the car. I ain't gonna tell nobody. I ain't gonna tell nobody. Hey, you know how people say, hey, God, you do that. Hey, hey, did I say, lord, if you get me out of this situation, I ain't having no more sex? Oh, no, I did not say that.
Stephen A. Smith
Right, right, right.
Shannon Sharpe
I promise you, I did not say that.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
So I hope people don't think, hey, you know, let that be a lesson to you. Hey, there ain't no lesson. That lesson. Leave my phone in the car. That's the only lesson I'm thinking from.
Stephen A. Smith
There ain't nothing to be ashamed about, man. You good, you good, you good? You good on my end. You good.
Shannon Sharpe
No, I mean, I don't really know what else. I mean. I mean, I don't really know what else to say. I mean, what else to do. I mean, there's nothing. There's nothing I can do now, right? If I could go back in time, if I can go back and wake up this morning, right? Knowing that. That's why hindsight is a magnificent science, because you have the knowledge of knowing what already happened and it hasn't happened, Right? That's what makes it a magnificent science.
Stephen A. Smith
But
Shannon Sharpe
if you control your actions, I don't get to control the consequences. So whatever consequences that come along with my actions, I'll accept them. Nobody. Whatever happens with Shannon Sharp, nobody is at. At fault but Shannon Sharp. I wear that, I ain't gonna say, well, they could have. They gave me a grace. And look what happened to this guy when he did this, and look what happened to her when she did that. That ain't how I get down. I control actions. I don't get to control consequences. And so I can live. I can live any mistake that I've made, I own it. I own it. This was an honest mistake. I don't think anybody that's in this chat, I don't think anybody that know me even casually, think I would ever do something like that. I don't desire. I don't crave that kind of attention. I'm good.
Stephen A. Smith
You don't need. You don't need it. You don't. It already comes with the name. It already comes with the brand.
Shannon Sharpe
So, yeah, my bro, look. And people that say, what'd your brother say? My brother say, hey, bro, you. You human. You made a mistake. He said, I'm just. He said, and I just told him what I was going to do. He said, I'm proud of you. He said, I'm proud of you. Gonna stand up there. You stand. Look down the barrel of the camera and tell people what actually happened. Not hide behind, not say, I was hacked. Not say, somebody Set me up. Oh, you did.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, hey, you did. You did hit that. I was hacked. And I'm thinking to myself, come on now.
Shannon Sharpe
You know what? Here's the thing, though. Ocho Jordan, being the good soldier that he is. Oh.
Stephen A. Smith
He put something out there right away.
Shannon Sharpe
Put that up.
Stephen A. Smith
Okay, okay, okay.
Shannon Sharpe
I told. And once I saw it was up, I said, man, take that down.
Stephen A. Smith
Right, right.
Shannon Sharpe
Okay.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, you gotta.
Shannon Sharpe
No, because I was. I was. I'm gonna come and I'm gonna look at the people that follow me. I'm gonna look. Look at the people that. That. That listen to us, that like us, that watch the podcast, that have watched me on first take, watch me throughout my 30 plus year career in the public eye nationally. Yeah, I owe it to him. Come here. Look down. Look. Honest mistake. This is what happened. Nobody's at fault. I'm at fault. I was reckless. I was careless. So accountability is big. It always have been. And when I talk to my kids and I told them what I was going to do. Daddy, I'm proud of you. My homeboys, you know, they got their jokes in. Oh, I know that voice, but I don't know that fool. So, you know, burns. Burns and bucket and, you know, foots a lot. A lot of, you know. Hey, one of the guys. Chad, you're gonna get a kick out of this. One of the guys that called me, and this was probably only the second time in probably seven, eight years that either called me FaceTime. Time.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, time hit you.
Shannon Sharpe
He called me FaceTime. Yeah, I see.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah. Prime prank on Prank. Gonna give you that good word now.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, but he had some. He had some great words for it for me. And that's what. That's what friends do. I know a lot of y', all, when I say things about Colorado didn't play well, y' all try to spin it like I'm attacking him, but he knows, having worked with me, having talked to me in private and been around me, he knows how I am. And that's what he respects, because he knows I'm gonna tell it like it is. I'm gonna tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. That's why I can't be everybody's friend. And so, you know, Ocho, that's. I'm out. Look, I done cried. I don't been. I don't. I don't really know what else. What else I can do, Ocho. There's nothing else I can do.
Stephen A. Smith
But you could. I mean, I'm sure that people want to Know. I mean, I want to know. I've been trying to. To. To. To find a partner for you to. To have a union. So, I mean, what you can do is. Is bless us, bless myself, and put the rest of the world at ease and, you know, could tell us who Michelle is.
Shannon Sharpe
Huh?
Stephen A. Smith
Huh?
Shannon Sharpe
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, so you're gonna leave us in the dark?
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Stephen A. Smith
Okay. Okay. That's fine. I. I'm not one to peer pressure.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, I. I think. Look, look, she deserves a level of anonymity. She deserves a level of respect.
Stephen A. Smith
Right, right, right.
Shannon Sharpe
And so.
Stephen A. Smith
So, I mean, you do understand, with this coming out, do you understand the amount of hearts that you have broken that might have thought they might have had a chance?
Shannon Sharpe
What you mean they still got a chance? What you mean?
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, because. I know. But still, once you engage in activity, like horizontally.
Shannon Sharpe
They thought I wasn't capable of functioning down there.
Stephen A. Smith
Well, no, I'm not that. Not. Not that. But I mean, normally when you're engaged in someone in that type of act, normally, there's really no room for anyone else.
Shannon Sharpe
So you actually think that. I think that any woman that I meet that they're not having sex or haven't had sex, they might not have had sex the day that they met me or talked to me.
Stephen A. Smith
Right.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm not. I mean, I'm not. I'm not that foolish, Ocho. I'm not that nice.
Stephen A. Smith
What's up, fam? I'm sports journalist Ari Chambers.
Shannon Sharpe

Stephen A. Smith
on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history. These are the stories you haven't heard. The kind you'll end up telling someone else. Like the time Paul McCartney spent in one of the world's most notorious prisons. Imagine that you're Paul McCartney. It's 1980, you're an ex Beatle, and you're doing time in one of Japan's worst prisons right there alongside Yakuza gangsters. And for a ridiculous charge. Or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of. Who is the artist? Lady Gaga is being accused of doing the unthinkable to after allegedly stealing her music in style to become famous. And what about that time Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped a serial killer? The man who had given her that ride she barely escaped from was Ted Bundy. Listen to Disgraceland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Maxim is so maxing right now, bro.

Stephen A. Smith

Shannon Sharpe

Just a second. Hold on, hold on. Oh, I got another one in there. I got another one, Ste. Oh, Lord. All right, come on, my man, what you got?
Stephen A. Smith
All right, first off, I want to
Shannon Sharpe
say shout out to y' all
Stephen A. Smith
one of the nightcaps. He was talking about these grippy socks.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, so I got.
Stephen A. Smith
I got. I got you a pair.
Shannon Sharpe
I got you a pair. Let your boy get these grippy.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, sir.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, hey. Tear it off. So one thing I gotta ask you. I gotta ask you one. Go ahead. Me and myself, I'm a proponent of,
Stephen A. Smith
you know, using little bullets, you know, nothing crazy. Just.
Shannon Sharpe
Just a little, little, little something there,
Stephen A. Smith
you know, Put it on a clit. Knock that out. I'm gone.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm going. Come on, coach, don't mind me. How do you like to spark it up in a bedroom? I.
Stephen A. Smith
You know, without the live.
Shannon Sharpe
Without the live. How do you like to spark it
Stephen A. Smith
up in a bedroom?
Shannon Sharpe
Ojo, look what your boy got. That'll gripple.
Stephen A. Smith
That's the grippers. What are you talking about? They acting shy?
Shannon Sharpe
No, he asked me what do I like to do to set it up in the bedroom.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, you ain't see his ignorance? Tell them what you like to do.
Shannon Sharpe
What I like to do? Yeah. That probably be a question that you probably should ask her. You know, look, I look all that's to see y'. All these new age women, y' all don't go too far for me.
Stephen A. Smith
Not really.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, they have. Really.
Stephen A. Smith
You got.
Shannon Sharpe
You got to evolve. I. I've been telling them.
Stephen A. Smith
How old are you, sir?
Shannon Sharpe
No, he'll sat down, bro. I ain't no dinosaur. I don't need to involve.
Stephen A. Smith
You got involved, man.
Shannon Sharpe
Man, you.
Stephen A. Smith
You got too many rules.
Shannon Sharpe
I'm gonna keep them too. Hi, guys. I'm auntie Hammy. Okay. And I am a coochie college professor. Okay. And I was.
Stephen A. Smith
Wait, wait, wait, wait. You're what?
Shannon Sharpe
A cooch? A coochie college professor.
Stephen A. Smith
Okay, Tell me more.
Shannon Sharpe
And I have a lesson right now. And it's all about. We're learning about how our coochies relate to owls. And our coochie's hoot. Like hoot, hoot, hoot. And I would like to know if you guys would like coochie that comes out in the daytime or coochie that comes out at night. As long as they come out, I'm good. Day, night, midday. After the early afternoon.
Stephen A. Smith
Is there. Is. Is there a difference in coochie that comes out in the day as opposed to coochie that comes out at night? Yes.
Shannon Sharpe
Coochie that comes out in the daytime is more calm than the coochie that comes out at night. The coochie that comes out at night, it gets w. Blue like that. It do it do.
Stephen A. Smith
I.
Shannon Sharpe
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hey, we need that. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Can we get a woman to confirm or deny this? Cuz I'm not. Come on, hold on, hold on. Come on, come here, Come on, come on.
Stephen A. Smith
What's that? Was that. Was that sex or.
Shannon Sharpe
Next. No, no. Oh, what you want. You call it.
Stephen A. Smith
I mean, that was next. I ain't understand none of that.
Shannon Sharpe
You. You understand. Y' all hold up. We're gonna get confirmation. She about to give us confirmation. Oh, she been drinking. She about to tell. And she got on black.
Stephen A. Smith
Yes, they brown.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you on that brown. And she got on all black. She about to bring it Ocho.
Stephen A. Smith
So I came firm Auntie Hammy in the daytime, you know, we moving about our day. So I'm just going to bend it over and tun it up one, two, real fast. Okay, but the moment I lay your
Shannon Sharpe
ass down on that bed, everything gets wet. Everything is. Oh, facts, fact. Yeah, you. You keep. Yeah, you.
Stephen A. Smith
Are you married? Your boyfriend here? They.
Shannon Sharpe
My husband. He. Okay, okay. So he can First. You confirmed this?
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, yeah. Okay.
Shannon Sharpe
We got sex there. Thank you very much.
Stephen A. Smith
I gotta write that down.
Shannon Sharpe
Hello? Yes, sir. Hey, what's going on, man? Thank you guys for showing up here, being independent. And I want to echo what prime was saying earlier. Like, part of what we gotta do is support you guys. Like how prime said support you guys. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Give me time. Give it time. Give me time, man. Give it time. But, bro, hold on, hold on. Just a second. Not to cut you off. I think you. I think you missed the. The. This is like sex with next. Yeah, we. We like. We ask like grown up type question. Oh, I'm married. I'm done with that. Okay. Yeah, go ahead, bro. What's going on, y'? All? How you doing? Appreciate everything that y' all put out on the podcast. I watch y' all all the time, especially Club Shay. Shay, love what y' all do. Especially Marlon Wayans. Love that episode. Thank you. My question actually was for prime, but he left. He'll be back.
Stephen A. Smith
He'll be back.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, you come back. But I do want to confirm this. If you work out, you don't need those pills.
Stephen A. Smith
What? What?
Shannon Sharpe
If you work out, you don't need those pills. Do it look like I don't work out? You do work out, but I'm just confirming if you work out, you don't need those pills.
Stephen A. Smith
I have a question for you. How do you know just because you work out, you don't need those pills?
Shannon Sharpe
Cuz she told you you that annual physical. Check your testosterone level. Ha.
Stephen A. Smith
That ain't got nothing to do with.
Shannon Sharpe
It does hide an eagle head. Yes, it does, but I guarantee you nothing. I'm going to keep that myself. I don't know. Don't. Don't tell her. Don't worry about it. I don't know, but you don't know what you missing out on, Bro, I'm telling you, she don't know what she missing out on.
Stephen A. Smith
I don't know. Next. Hey, I've been working. I've been working out 57 years.
Shannon Sharpe
He's talking about this. Me? Yeah, you. Ocho, Stephen. A. I wanted to ask you. This girl recently, she put me in the friend zone. We had. We're having great dates, a lot of stuff. She put me in the friend zone after a couple dates. I want to know how can I
Stephen A. Smith
get back in there?
Shannon Sharpe
You not. No, you're not. I already lied to you. But she starts.
Stephen A. Smith
She. She was.
Shannon Sharpe
She pursued me, though. Yeah, yeah. And she. And she told you that you weren't her type when she put you in that zone.
Stephen A. Smith
Wait, wait. You leaving out some key parts? Yes. She pursues you?
Shannon Sharpe
She pursued me.
Stephen A. Smith
Wait, let me finish. Y' all had sex already? Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I mean, what we said. What we saying. No, no. You come up show. No, no, no, no. Okay. It wasn't that. Wasn't that. Okay. It wasn't that. Okay, sure. It wasn't that.
Stephen A. Smith
No, no.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, it wasn't that. It wasn't that. Okay, okay.
Stephen A. Smith
It was. It was after it happened to me, so I'm just.
Shannon Sharpe
Can I.
Stephen A. Smith
This. Can I this. Yeah, go ahead. This my brother.
Shannon Sharpe
It was. It was after a little while.
Stephen A. Smith
My brother quit while you ahead.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, let me finish. You said she pursued you. You said y' all went out on a couple of dates. You said you gave her some, and then you said she don't want no more. You
Stephen A. Smith
young man.
Shannon Sharpe
That's a good. That's a good point. That's a good point. Move on. You're not it for her.
Stephen A. Smith
I. I love you.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, don't trip.
Stephen A. Smith
I've been there.
Shannon Sharpe
Love you. Oh, I love you.
Stephen A. Smith
I love you. I'm in the friend zone now.
Shannon Sharpe
Unfor. I don't believe my man needed us to tell him that it was over. What? I said, I don't believe he needed us to tell him it was over.
Stephen A. Smith
But sometimes.
Shannon Sharpe
You know what?
Stephen A. Smith
Sometimes you got somebody else.
Shannon Sharpe
You. Sometimes when you used to living a lie, you know, you. You. You got to come to the fellas
Stephen A. Smith
for the truth because you don't want
Shannon Sharpe
to accept it yourself. That was him, Everything. I'll tell you how you can get out of the friend zone. Put that on them. Well, 36 hours. It won't be no friend no more. Hey, everybody.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
I love the show. Hey, get your boy Subscription. You know what I'm saying? That's gonna help him out a lot. It ain't get him, but it ain't. Hey, Rudy Odiano from Austin, Texas. Hey, I think I speak for everybody here is we Ms. Shannon, and I love the show with first takes. Way better than Undisputed. I ain't going to lie. But we miss Shannon be like, sk SK what's going on with the Cowboys? SK SK but anyways, we missed that. But my question is, everybody has. I don't know if you noticed, but he's doing a hell of a lot better on first take. Yes. You know what I'm saying?
Stephen A. Smith
Yes. All right. Remember that.
Shannon Sharpe
I like first take better than Undisputed. I agree.
Stephen A. Smith
Damn right.
Shannon Sharpe
So does everybody else. The main question, everybody has the same. Same question. Everybody's thinking the same question. Who the hell is Michelle? That's what we want to know. Michelle Obama. Michelle. Michelle who?
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, I want to know who Michelle is. I still don't know who is Michelle?
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, you. Why? Hold up. She was. Still is. I'm just trying to figure out what. What is it? I mean, like, if I'd have never said that name, nobody would have been interested in.
Stephen A. Smith
But we heard you say, whose dick is this, Michelle? We heard you. So now we want to know who Michelle is.
Shannon Sharpe
And what did she say?
Stephen A. Smith
She ain't say nothing.
Shannon Sharpe
Next. See what I got to go through, Stephen A. You see what I got to go through? You know, I do feel bad for you, you know, when the fellas come asking you to tell your business like that. That's not how it usually works, fellas. No, it's usually the ladies that's asking, who is she? I mean, the fellas ain't the ones that's supposed to be asking these questions
Stephen A. Smith
most of the time. When it's out in the public like that, right? Then it's public consumption. So I need to understand. I want better contact as my co.
Shannon Sharpe
Host.
Stephen A. Smith
Don't lie to me. You. You, you. You.
Shannon Sharpe
You got the context. We got all the context we need. You ain't devoid of the context. Stop that.
Stephen A. Smith
See? Hey, hey, Joe. That's. That's. That's gonna be our show, Joe, when football season end, I got. I got a TVU backpack, right. I haven't been able to use it, so. You know how you got all the streamers, K, and all them boys? So we don't have nothing for the old folks or. Or the older crowd.
Shannon Sharpe

Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A. Smith

Shannon Sharpe
You don't have know how to set no hook. You don't know how to set no line. You don't know nothing about no fishing. You don't.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, hey, wait a minute.
Shannon Sharpe
See, that's.
Stephen A. Smith
That's how I know. Hey, that's how I know. He don't know about me. I'm from Miami. I used to catch Goliath grouper back in 83.
Shannon Sharpe
Catch? What kind of grouper?
Stephen A. Smith
Goliath Grouper.
Shannon Sharpe
They put your ass in jail, you catch a Goliath Grouper.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, hold on, hold on, Uncle.
Shannon Sharpe
I threw him back. You better throw his ass back. I threw him back. You don't throw it back, they gonna throw your ass in jail. You can't keep your Goliath Cooper.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah. Hey, but listen, listen, statement real quick, real quick. They used to take me. They used to take me to fishermen. They calling Captain Jack. Captain Jack used to take me deep sea fishing. We used to catch Goliath Grouper.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Lord.
Stephen A. Smith
Matter of fact, when he couldn't bring it in, I used to.
Shannon Sharpe
I used to, first of all, actually go fishing for Goliath Grouper. They actually, like, just fight. So what were you actually recording by accident?
Stephen A. Smith
Recording by accident. He was like 630 pounds.
Shannon Sharpe
So what you, what were you actually fishing for? Snapper? Were you fishing for tuna? Brano, what were you actually fishing for?
Stephen A. Smith
Tuna.
Shannon Sharpe
This boy here.
Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A. Smith
Wait a minute. Let's do the hardest one. Let's do the hardest one. Let's go spit fishing.
Shannon Sharpe
Spear fishing.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, okay, okay, okay. Yeah, I'm a. I'm a nomad. I can hold my breath by six minutes.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, Lord have mercy.
Stephen A. Smith
Spit. Let's go spiffish.
Shannon Sharpe
I'll tell you what.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, hey, hey, hey. I'm a free dive.
Shannon Sharpe
Look, we go catch. We can go catch perch. We can catch blue. Bluegill. We can. We can go fish, whatever. I'm not going hunting with you. First of all, I'm gonna need you to get six months of your gun training before I go hunt with you. Cause you're not gonna shoot me in My ass.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, no, no, I ain't gonna shoot you.
Shannon Sharpe
Hell no.
Stephen A. Smith
But you know how to. Hey, hey, stay with me. Now. I know how to work a pistol, you hear me?
Shannon Sharpe
First of all, who going hunting with a pistol? What the hell you hunt for? What you hunt with? What do. Oh, hey, hold on. Are we taking a high power rifle? 30, 30, 3006, 308, something like that.
Stephen A. Smith
I got my switch. I don't need all.
Shannon Sharpe
Nobody going no damn switching no damn. Let's see what I'm trying to talk about. Chat. You see what I'm saying? Hey, Joe.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, Joe, he tripping. Hey, Joe, let me show you how I'm hunting.
Shannon Sharpe
He gonna be going to the club, I'm going to the woods. I'm trying to. We gonna kill rat. A white tail. We gonna get. We gonna kill hogs or something. He up there talking about some bullshit. Or we go quail hunting, pheasant hunting, I don't care. But I need him to get some training, cuz I'm not going nowhere with no gun. With oo. And he ain't never shot a gun a day in the damn life. He ain't been shooting me in my ass. Hey, listen, me and the homies, we used to go paintball. We used to go paintball and we, we divide up in teams, be like five over 10. Then we split up out in the woods and they come back and say, man, I can't be on this dude team. This dude just shot me in my face. Exactly. He told me he going hunting. He bad talking about he going hunting with a pistol. Who the hell with a pistol? Oh, there you go.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, the animals ain't even gonna see me coming, Joe.
Shannon Sharpe
Oh, man.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, they ain't gonna see me coming, Joe.
Shannon Sharpe
Ocho, do you know how to get in the tree stand?
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, do I know how to get in the tree stand? But hey, I had a treehouse back in.
Shannon Sharpe
Joe can.
Stephen A. Smith
You had a tree house when I was 13.
Shannon Sharpe
This man don't know how to. This man don't know how to stand in no tree stand. He don't know how to sit still. He first of all know he ain't gonna be quiet.
Stephen A. Smith
Hold on, wait a minute. I went Carson Palmer. I went with Carson and Jordan Palmer. They took me. They took me deer hunting. I was in the tree stand for seven hours. I had to douse myself with people.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah, don't piss. Oh, excuse me. But anyway, Ocho Joe, he gonna go out there with Creed on and all the animals go smell his ass from a mile Away? Hell, no. I can go nowhere with you. He done got on. No, no, no. He don't know how to. He don't know how to stay down. He don't know how to stay. I'm not.
Stephen A. Smith
No, I'm a chill. Hey, Joe. Everything. Everything he talk about. I done did, Joe. I done did. I just. I just. It's not something that I'm. That I'm. That I'm excited about, but I've been. I've done everything one Joe. I've done everything once. All the hunting, all that fish and all that deal.
Shannon Sharpe
You gotta stay down with your. You know how to stay downwind? Yeah.
Stephen A. Smith
You ain't got no choice but to stay down.
Shannon Sharpe
When.
Stephen A. Smith
Because if you don't stay down, when they gonna know you there? They got the. Hey, listen, them animals out, they got the greatest sense of smell of all.
Shannon Sharpe
That's why I am not going with you, cuz. You going out there with cologne on.
Stephen A. Smith
I ain't going to wear no cologne, uncle. I ain't even showered in three days.
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, he don't know how to wear no camouflage. He out there with a red Cristiano Ronaldo jersey. It's my damn. Where the animals at? Cuz they smell it. They see your ass with that big old red jersey on. That would have F that. He don't know how to wear no camouflage, man. I ain't fooling on your baby. He don't know how to dress, man. He ain't got no gear, boy. Listen.
Stephen A. Smith
Hey, I got. I got. I got some camouflage, huh?
Shannon Sharpe
Hey, listen, I ain't gonna lie. That'll be a sight to see, boy.
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah, that's why we gonna. We gonna stream it. We're gonna stream it 24 7.
Shannon Sharpe
I know how to hunt. If we go a squirrel hunt, we go a rabbit hunting, we going quail hunting. First of all, Ocho, you ain't never shot no gun. You never shot no animal on the move.
Stephen A. Smith
Hold on, time out. I didn't hit squirrels back in the day. I didn't hit raccoons and a possum down here.
Shannon Sharpe
What, you were shooting with that BB gun, that Pelly gun?
Stephen A. Smith
Who, me?
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, no, I had a. A 64.
Shannon Sharpe
A 64? What the hell is that?
Stephen A. Smith
Yeah.
Shannon Sharpe
Yeah.
Stephen A. Smith
See, that's what I'm talking about. That's how I know you ain't no shooter. First of all, you ain't know what a 64 is. Yeah, first of all, that's what we carry. Hey, un. That's what we carry down here at the Crib.
Shannon Sharpe
First of all, you shoot a squirrel, you first of all use a rifle, man. Cuz it's a small animal. You don't want to mess up the meat shoot.
Stephen A. Smith
No, no, no, no, no, no. Let me tell you something. Hey Joe, anytime you shoot a squirrel, you got to set an example.
Shannon Sharpe
What you set example for? You want to eat the squirrel for
Stephen A. Smith
the rest of the squirrels. And I'm not the one to play with. Don't come right here with that bull jazz. Come right here. Hey, you kill an ant with a sled?
Shannon Sharpe
Yes.
Stephen A. Smith
You ain't got to worry about no.
Shannon Sharpe
But what you're trying to do because you're gonna eat the squirrel, Ocho, if you shoot him with a shotgun, you're gonna mess. You gonna mess that. What? Ain't gonna be nothing there.
Stephen A. Smith
Oh, you want to eat. I'm shooting the squirrel to set an example for the rest of the squirrels. Not to come over here messing with the mangoes in the tree.
Shannon Sharpe
I don't care. The squirrels come. First of all, oh, we going out. We ain't shooting no city squirrels. I don't care nothing about that. First of all, you going to jail. I come from the city.
Stephen A. Smith
We not eating the squirrels. We not eating the squirrels in the city. You eat the squirrels in the.
Shannon Sharpe
That's what I'm saying. That's what we hunt. You can't hunt in the city.
Stephen A. Smith
No, but I'm saying I. I mean I can adapt.
Shannon Sharpe
Huh?
Stephen A. Smith
That's what, that's what life is about. It's about adapting. So I can adapt to what you like to do. If I got to be in the woods, I. I know how to act.

Hosts: Shannon Sharpe & Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (with Stephen A. Smith guesting)
Date: July 22, 2026
In this rollicking and candid Nightcap installment, Shannon Sharpe addresses the viral IG Live incident that exposed his most private moment to the world, opening up about embarrassment, privacy, and the realities of being public figures. Joined by Chad Johnson (“Ocho”) and Stephen A. Smith, the crew oscillates between jokes, real talk about handling scandal, audience Q&A on relationships and intimacy, and more famously uninhibited banter. The episode exemplifies Nightcap’s signature unfiltered, relatable, and riotous vibe—spotlighting friendship, accountability, and the wild world of social media.

Friend Zone Dilemmas
The crew detours into a mock-serious contest over wilderness skills, gun handling, and braggadocious stories from their youth.
These tall tales get increasingly absurd and hilarious as Ocho and Stephen A. argue about who’s more capable in the outdoors.
In the sponsored “Sex or Next” segment, Shannon and Ocho discuss enhancement products and personal experiences:
Ocho: “I popped one on the show. I probably wanted to show the other... I let that thing marinate the whole show, Joe.” (65:00; 65:27)
Shannon shares a classic story about impressing a partner with his “theatrical performance” and the importance of first impressions.
This episode of Nightcap is classic Sharpe and Ocho: wild, unapologetic, and real, blending vulnerable moments (Shannon’s embarrassment, accepting mistakes) with relentless roasting and comedic storytelling. The viral scandal serves as a jumping-off point for raw relationship talk, honest lessons, and a celebration of brotherhood and resilience. Even as scandal swirled, Shannon’s openness and the group’s humor kept the tone engaging and authentic—for better or for “viral.”
