Down by as many as 29 points. The Knick Knicks fight all the way back to take game five 107 to 106. An outstanding last second tip by OG Antonobe. And guess what? Down 29, they come back to win outstanding ball game. The Knicks. Fault, fault, fault, fault. They got a little help. But you got to give the Knicks credit because they had no reason to keep fighting like they did because seemingly everything was going the spurs way. But the Knicks say, you know what, just let us, let, just let us see the tail lights. Just let us make contact. They kept fighting and they win this ball game. The largest come from behind victory and I believe in finals history. But we'll talk about that. Y' all know who I am. I'm your favorite uncle. That is my partner and co host. That's Liberty City Zone. The guy that's about to gloat for the first hour of the show tonight. That is Chad Ochociko Johnson. The guy that's holding his head down. He was about to gloat because he said, I believe the spurs can win the next two games in New York. And he came oh, so close, but he's oh, so far away. That is ISO Joe Johnson. If somebody would have told you, you wouldn't have believed it, but it happened. The largest comeback in finals history. Jalen Brunson took the game over OG Antonobe was phenomenal, as he has been this entire series. And they storm all the way back, 29 points down, they clamp the screws. They get a little help from the spurs because the spurs play dumb basketball. But give the Knicks credit, even if they play dumb, you still have to play smart and, and hit shots, and they did that. Jalen Brunson tonight, 36 points, nine in the final six minutes, five rebounds, seven assists. He was 12 of 25, three of seven from the floor from the three point line and nine of 11 from the the free throw line. OG was 33 points, 10 of 15, seven to nine from the three, six of six from the free throw line, four rebounds, one assist, one turnover, one steal, and a huge, huge, huge block. They were sensational down the stretch when they absolutely had to have it. And you know the Knicks, if you let them be close, they got guys that can close, mainly number 11, and they did that. Ocho, you said this team yesterday, you had the Knicks in six. I don't know if you still have the Knicks in six, but you said they were going to win this game tonight. What did you like about how the Knicks were able to withstand the onslaught early by the spurs and still hang on and come back and win this game?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
You know what, you know what I'm gonna do for y'?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
All?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Because I knew it was gonna happen. The entire playoff series, not just this, this series, but the previous series, I've always been right. So what I'm not gonna do is I'm gonna talk basketball. I'm gonna talk basketball. I'm gonna. I'm going to act like I've been there before. I'm gonna act like I've been right before, like I always have, because there's no reason for me to gloat, Joe. There's no reason for me to talk trash to both of you, because you don't have the ball knowledge that I do. Now. I told you what's gonna happen before the game started, right? We've already seen the Knicks in a series. We've seen them countless times in the season, be down by a lot and always scratch and crawl and fight their way back into games. And Jalen Brunson, most of the time, he's a savior when it matters most. He's extremely clutch. That's why I asked him, and I think, I think it was maybe yesterday's show. I say, oh, had Jalen Brunson ever won the clutch award? If the NBA has such award, note to give, because in certain situations, in those Biggest moments when. When it matters most. For some reason, Jalen Brunson is always coming through. OG OG say the Knicks tonight. OG Saved the Knicks tonight because when things weren't going well offensively, when things weren't going well defensively, they were able to get back into these games. They were able to crawl back from down 29. Joe. Joe. 29 point deficit in a finals game. Not supposed to happen. It's not supposed to happen, but it did. Josh Hart, he missed one. He could have blown the game. What was that back. What we call that?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Well, yeah, it looked like Alvarado went back court, but they didn't call it. Go ahead.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
They didn't call it. But listen, the Knicks teasing the spurs teed in. The spurs fans, you know what? We're gonna let y' all be the lead. We're gonna let you build a lead, we're gonna let you be the lead, and we're gonna. We're gonna walk you down.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Huh?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
It's like, hey, you know, you love track. It's like, you know, you're coming down that hunted and you feel like you got the waist run and all you hear is the crowd behind you to about, and you come and track them down. Joe, I mean, listen, I know you feel bad, Joe.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Uncle.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I know you feel bad. I told you how the series would go before the show yesterday. I said, listen, y' all boys happy? You gloating, you know, y' all talking. Y' all doing a little too much talking. You're a little too happy. We gave y' all the game, but y' all didn't want to listen to me. Now I'm not gonna talk no more trash. I'm gonna let y' all talk about your little. Your basketball analysis on. On why y' all lost and what the spurs did wrong, even after having a 29 point lead. And the Spurs, I mean, in the next coming back and winning the game anyway after I told you what was gonna happen.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Chad, I'm sorry y' all had to listen through that jibber jabber because that. That's chewed up grass. Ain't nobody trying to hear it.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, you know, hey, you know who. You know how chewed up grass.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Listen, let me tell you something, man. The spurs need their ass whoop. They need their ass Whoop. You up 29 points, still playing pickup basketball like y' all in the park, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's. That's.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Keep milking the damn. Keep milking the clock. Keep getting good shots, playing great defense. You got these dudes on the road, bro. Look, man, they hadn't took all the energy out the building. It was dead. I'm like, damn. But them damn. In that third quarter you get, you have at least five to six turnovers. You ain't have a two in the whole first half. You're taking care of the Rock, man. They played a perfect game, bro, and just collapsed. I mean, pressure dang.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
The coach Ms. Johnson. You let him go on a 20 to 4 run before you call the timeouts, dear. And Fox, I just want somebody to tell me. Now, see, I've been telling you this all along and all y' all tell me they won. Be quiet. You see, you accepted things when they won the game. Now you can't complaining about Fox. When I was telling you about Fox. When I was telling you guys about the turnovers. Shut up. We won the game. Now spurs fans, now y' all guys. How you looking now? Darren Fox get a steal. Why would points are not important. Make them foul. You run time off the clock. All you had to do is pretend like you gonna lay it up and just keep on. Oh, gee, can't catch you. But you tried to play hero ball. How many times they get? They got three offensive rebounds. And what did they do in the third quarter? Joe Wimby put three threes in a row up.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yep. Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Basell a two on one. He launches a three. They play. They played this. They played as if they were behind. When they're up 20 plus and the turn. You can't play dumb basketball players get you beat. And I kept telling you this. I saw this, Joe. We talked about this in the Thunder and they dodged bullets. I don't know what it is with the spurs players. When the guy has got his back turned to you, you throw him the ball, Dear Fox, why are you passing the ball? You're the point guard. They come down to hit a three. But no, but when I was trying to tell you see, Joe, I think the thing is sometimes guys, Ocho, we look at things through the prism and we just don't look at wins and losses. And that's what fans do because we look at. Okay, we play like this against a good team, it's gonna cost us if we turn the ball over. All turnovers aren't created equal. When you turn the ball over matters. Yeah, I. I don't. I don't get how the spurs started playing. You score what, 70 something points in the first half and then you get 30 in the second because you know why? Kelton Johnson, just because you get an offensive rebound, it's okay to kick it back out, man. You don't have to put up a force put back. How many times did he force the put back? Oh, Joe, he got the rebound twice. Forced put backs, bro. Turnover lead to a three. Another turnover. Fox throw it back court, he bounces off his feet. I'm just like, bro, what are y' all doing? And I told my sister, my sister, like I said, nah, it ain't over. I say, because the spurs play dumb basketball. I said, they'll turn the ball over and they'll start taking ill advised threes and it'll come back and haunt them. I said, if they're not up by a substantial amount within the last five minutes, the Knicks will come back and get them. I walked in a room, I said, got leave with like 2 seconds left in the ball game. She said, that's why I stopped watching. But I tried. But, but, but the thing is now, maybe now chat instead of when you win, you don't say, shut up, cuz. You don't know what you're talking about. Because I told you this was going to happen, bro. I told you this was going to happen. I tried to forewarn you.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I mean, but I told, hey, Joe. And I don't understand, how do y' all continue to ignore it, man, get
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
out of here with all that, man. Hell ain't no way in here.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
How you, how you gonna be Joe? How you gonna be mad Joe? And I'm telling you, I don't understand
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
what the problem is.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Let me see what you tweeted. What you. What did you tweet? Who?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
When?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Tonight? What you was telling us. Because normally you be tweeting. When your teams be winning, you normally tweet. So I'm trying to pull up your tweets.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Oh, I tweeted after.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's what I thought. That's what I thought. Go ahead, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
What? Hey, what does it matter?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
It doesn't matter when I. After the fact. Yeah, hold on, easy. After the fact.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I told you before the series.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm saying if you were so confident when they was down 10, 15, 20, 29, you should have been tweeting. Say we coming back.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Time out, time out, time out.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, don't try to do. Don't try to move the goal.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Try to move the goal. When we. Let me finish. When we talked about the game last night, right? When we talked about the game, when they played game two, who did I say we're gonna win?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, bro, who did I say?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean, you said you said the Knicks are gonna win. The Knicks gonna win.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
My bad.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Who, who won the game?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I don't care how they won the game. Thank you.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Nothing, nothing else matters, right? Are you not how they won? I just told you who.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Man, get out of here with all that, bro. Ain't nobody trying to hit it.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, Joe, are you mad? You mad?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, I'm a little pissed off. O ain't gonna lie to you. Because as for the Spurs, I just don't understand that major collapse, bro. I really don't. I really don't.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, if you look at how they play, we talked about. Joe, we've been talking about this since they played okc. We talk. Joe, think of you just said every game they've had a double digit lead in every game. What has happened to that double digit lead? Now they won one of the game, but in the double digit leads that they've had, Joe, what has happened? They've gotten walked down.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, got walked down.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And why, and, and why have they gotten walked down? They start turning them all over and they start taking ill advised shots. Yeah, yeah, it's, it's so, it's, it's, it's okay. They start running like you said, Joe. They start playing pickup ball. Ain't running no plays. Okay, let me see who can take the quickest three.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It is, bro, like in basketball, man, when you got a lead like that and you coming down, it's one pass shot, no pass shot, bro. That's a recipe for disaster. Unless you just scorching, hiding, couldn't miss in that first half. I ain't gonna lie. They playing so good. I was scared for them to have a lead that early because I'm like, man, it's too much damn time. It's too much basketball left. But bro, I didn't, I'm be honest with y'.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
All.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I, I thought they had them boys figured out. They were playing awesome defense, making them work for everything and getting what they wanted. That ball was hopping, guys were getting wide open shots. I mean they bench. The Knicks bench was non existent, bro. I mean, at one point, hell, they probably had two points from their bench.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Mitch, I think Mr. Robinson had Mitchell,
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Robinson had two and then Jordan Clarkson. I thought Alvarado came in and did a great job. He was a spark for.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He was, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, I thought he was a spark off the bench. He hit some big threes. Yeah, I got a friendly bounce. I mean it bounced up there and it went in. OG got one of those. I thought he played. He, he hustled. He rebounded, he defended. I thought they did. I thought, I thought he kind of, you know. And you notice Mike Brown left him in there. Mike Brown left, left Alvarado in there in a game of this magnitude. Yeah, and, and, and I think, I think, look, two things can be true. This was an epic collapse by the spurs. But the Knicks, the resilient and the resiliency in which they showed
Chad Ochociko Johnson
they.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, they don't have any reason to keep playing because it's like every time they get off, they go on a 40 run. Here come, here come San Antonio back with a 70 run. And so what a lead that was 20. Now all of a sudden it's 23. They get it down to 17. Now the lead is 25. They cut it down to 22. Now the lead is 29. And, and they just kept. And they just kept playing. They just kept playing also. I don't know. One more thing. O. Joe, Joe, why they letting, why they letting Brunson play one on one the one time they trapped it? What he do, Joe? He turned it over. Yeah, yeah, go ahead, Ocho.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
No, I was gonna say. Okay, all, all jokes aside, I mean, I know the Knicks won the game tonight, but what we saw tonight, right, Joe, you know, even with them being up 29, what we saw the Knicks do tonight, we've seen him do before. So I'm not sure why it's even a surprise to anybody. We see him been. We see him be down 22 and come back and win a game. So the fact that we're up 29, even though it was early in the game, we saw him come back from 22 late in the game with not that much time to go.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, but this is a better team than Cleveland. This is a better team than Cleveland.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I mean, I mean, better, better. I mean, I understand, but it's still the same thing when those shots matter most in those big moments, who's always come through, brother Jalen Brunson. The only reason I, I believe that the Knicks won the game tonight, even if you go play by play and you go through analytics and all this stuff and why the spurs did this and why the spurs did that, because of the way OG Kept the Knicks afloat throughout the entirety of the game, even though they were up 29. Up at 29.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, he was hitting some, he was hitting some mid range shots, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, that.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You know, if they missed those shots, all of a sudden, maybe the spurs can get, can get a bigger lead. Maybe it goes back to 25. Maybe it goes to 27. But he always would hit the shot or two. He would get a two. He would get a midair. He'd hit a three.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Draw a foul. He, he, he played phenomenal. And, you know, look, they gonna have a tough decision. Knicks win this series. They've got a tough decision. Who's gonna be the mvp, Joe. Yeah, yeah, they got a tough decision, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Well, I mean, you know, they. Obviously, we still got at least another game left, but I, I think, I think, I think. I mean, this, I ain't gonna lie. This, this one here hurt, Ojo. I ain't gonna lie to you. I mean, you got them boys on the rope like that, bro. I think when they, they was mixing it up good, the defense with Brunson, but late in the game, when they started trapping him, the rotations started to get out of whack and they started leaving guys up wide open for three. So Alvarado made a three, OG made a three. And I think it just kind of started to compound, and they never could shake back, bro. Like, they couldn't, Couldn't go down, get a good shot. They go down, turn over them like they could.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Because they were tired, Joe. They were Wimby played 44 minutes. And I thought. The thing, I thought what really, really hurt him is that when Castle picked up that file, that fourth foul and they went with Kelvin Johnson, I thought they would go with Dylan Harper. Yeah, that's why I thought they would go with Dylan Harper and then take Versaille and slide him to catch.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Right.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's what I thought they're going to do. Because I, I, I just. I, I'm just. I'm baffled by this. This is. And I've watched a lot of games, a lot of games. This, this here in the postseason, in a finals game. I've never seen anything like this, bro. We've never seen anything like this.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
We would have had a real series on our hand, boy. Them boys would. Oh, my God. I can't.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes, this is.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
This one hurt, boy.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, hey. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
You're right. You're right.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I told you what happened, y'.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
All.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I know you.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I think the thing is, is that. Look, hey, Ocho.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Ocho don't know basketball. What do you know about.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
This is.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Okay.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, Joe, this is, this is patriots, falcons, 28, three. Oh, hey, that's a good analogy.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
That's a good one for better perspective. That's a good.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's what this is. And I think Mitch Johnson Showed his inexperience. It's okay, bro. You can't let teams go. And you talking about, hey, you talking about. You talking about. Calm down. Hey, you talking about. No, bro, call the time out. Bring them together to calm them down. Be a calming voice.
Orderly Meds / Safety PSA Announcer
Yes.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Darren Fox has played too much basketball to have these kind of turnovers in these kind of moments. Yeah, he's played too much basketball. That's not. Look, and the thing is, Chad, I don't want you to. Because I don't want to minimize the effort that the Knicks put forth in order to come back. But in order for you to come back, a lot of things, a lot of things, you got to play good, but the other team's got to play bad. Because even if you play good and they play good, you're so far down you can't catch up. That's why Joe, you'll hear Joe say, hey, man, we gotta. Please, gotta get some stops. Because if they make it, you make it. They make it, you make it. You've done nothing. But they were getting, they were getting baskets, and then all of a sudden they would. All of a sudden, the spurs, like, you know what? I think it's time to let off like three or four threes. Wemby got. Wendy got spent. Because Wendy at one point was like 7 of 12. He ends up. He's. He ends up 9 or 25.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
In 3, after 3, after 3, after 3. It's almost like he kept trying to drive the nail. He, like, this is the nail that closes the coffin.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn right.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
But the Knicks, man, I think this says. I'm gonna say 64. I would say 55, 52, 48. This says more about the Knicks than it does the Spurs. But with that being said, Darren Foxx, you played a horrible game. You played the last 20 minutes of this game, you were terrible.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, he was.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Ms. Johnson, you was equally as bad because you're the coach. You can't, you can't turn the ball to Joe. They get, they come out of a timeout, try to inbound it, and what did they do? They throw the ball. Harper gets stuck at the, at the, at the mid court line. He turns it over. I'm like, bro, what are y' all doing?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, they got out of the way
Joe (Host/Analyst)
in the first half and you end up having nine in the second half. And that was the difference in the ball game because you turn the ball over and now you give them easy buckets. Now you don't even get a chance. You probably, Joe, probably. They're gonna jack up a three anyway, so they probably would have effed it up. Go ahead, Joe. What you want to say, man?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Man, come on, man. Hey, I really ain't got. I'm being honest with y', all, Chad. I'm being. Being 100. I just don't even know how the spurs lost this game, bro. Yep. I'm gonna get a Knicks credit. They've, you know, been the comeback kid this whole postseason. They've been down, but they ain't never been out. But, oh, my God, when it looks like the Spurs, I'm talking about, man, they had.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They had their hands all over this game the first half. I'm like, ain't no way. Ain't no way they gonna blow this, bro. And that damn third quarter came. That third quarter couldn't get over fast enough. Boy, they would turn that ball over so, so much. At the end of the third, I'm like, oh, my God. I think. What was it, a 15 point lead going into the fourth?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yep. You know that they erased it. And, and, and, cuz, Joe, you look at it, I mean, in the last minute, Castle, I mean, Fox had two turnovers, cuz. Hey, remember, he passed the ball back.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Back court.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He passed between two players. Ain't nobody looking. He's the point guard, and he passes it back.

Joe (Host/Analyst)
Then he tries to go and kicks it off his foot.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Man, listen, that damn og, he, he played winning basketball.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He does.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I'm talking about you need him on defense to get a block in the open court. I don't know what Fox was thinking.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Why they keep trying him, Joe, how many times have we seen Vesel trying? We've seen Harper try. We've seen Fox try him. We, We've seen Castle tribe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
But why try him? And why try him at that time? Hell, they probably ain't. But it ain't even 10 seconds left, man. You just, you gonna have. You know what it is if you want me to be 100 with y'. All. I don't think Fox believe in his damn self when it come to them free throws. You remember last game when Castle shot them two free throws? He inbounded the ball to Fox. He threw it back to Castle so fast. Cause he ain't want to get fouled. I don't think he wants to go to the line, bro. That's what I get from him.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Bam.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He don't want to go to the line, so he'd rather take that contested layup. OG block it.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Oh, but, Joe, the problem is he didn't need to take the layup. You gotta leave, run the clock out.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
That's what I'm saying. If he'd have ran the clock out, they would have fouled him. He had to shoot two free throws.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I don't. But guess what. By the time they got to him, it wouldn't have been no time on the clock, Joe. Because think about it. He's on a dead run, so all he got to do is go up under the basket and keep coming. They coming. Maybe pass it to a guy. I don't. But see, when you try to play hero ball, would you try. Hey, try to get your kick. Try to get your layup, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's just, it's just, it's too many late mistakes that just compound each other, man. It's like, okay, damn. Okay, I can see one. But if you make one and you make one and you make one, hell, man, we in trouble.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And that's what's been happening down the stretch for this team, bro. Damn.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And the thing, hey, Joe. What I couldn't understand is I tweeted this. You in the bonus and you jacking up threes. That's what I needed, somebody to help me understand again. Wendy, I tell you, when Wemby get tired, what does he do, Joe? Does he grab the ball or does he try to guide it in?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
You know what he tried to do?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Got it in,
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I, I, I know exactly when he gets tired. I know exactly when he gets tired. And he was tired he was tired tonight because when what you call him, get the ball up, you see, he just, I mean, cats way over there. He just. Ain't nobody put no, Ain't nobody put nobody on og. Here come OG Coming down the lane like Superman. Yeah, because I mean, but I mean, he's. He stretched as high as he can stretch and just enough because you know,
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
when you watch, when they start the game, they all, they always get off the great starts. If y' all notice that. Yeah, It'd be like 12, 2, 14, fold. You know, they get off the great starts, everybody on the string, defense, everything, right. You know, the pick and roll, running. Well, Wimby, yes, being who he needs to be asserting himself early. But yeah, boy, when you get tired. Oh, it's funny how everything's changed.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
All of them. And I think the thing is. And they had it set up perfect. Can't get two files in the first minute of the ball game. Now you got to go. Mike Brown is scrambling. He's trying everything. Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson gets a. Mitchell Robinson gets a flagrant. They're doing stuff because they're trying to get. They're trying to get Wimby back for the mush on Brunson. And it's getting them out of their ball game. And I don't know who told them, just play ball. Enough, enough. Because it's taking us out of our rhythm and it's giving them free throws and we're putting them in the. But it's like all they doing is jacking up threes. And I, I don't get it. I don't, I don't get. If you're in the bonus, why you put the ball on the floor, make them foul, you make them defend, you bail them out. When you take threes. Yeah. But give the Knicks credit. The Knicks, hey, they just, they just kept coming. They just kept coming. They just kept coming. They just kept coming. And it's not like they had a. If you look at it, Joe,
Chad Ochociko Johnson
the
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Spurs out rebounded them. They had more offensive rebounds. Yeah. 12 to 8. You know, people having a free throw. Nah, the free throw, they had nothing to do with it. I mean, one team shot 28, the other shot 20. I mean, but if you notice, the difference was, Joe, in the second half, that three point discrepancy, that was big in the first. Yeah, the Knicks closed it. They end up losing the three point battle by two. Look how far they were down in the first half.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Losing the three point battle.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
See, many years ago, you get a Lead like this, there was no coming back. But that three ball now
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
in their pace, the pace that the game is played at, 10, 15 point lead ain't safe. You're right. But, man, you look at. I mean, you ain't getting no better game than that from Dylan Harper, considering the fact that he just came off one of his worst games. Yeah, and I mean, bro, Ocho, it's gonna be hard to keep this man on the bench, bro. I'm trying to tell y'. All.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, no, no. I told you, Joe. I told. I told you this. I said, Joe, they gonna move on from Fox. They got to. They got to. He's too good. He's too good to be coming off the bench, man. Yeah, he's too. He's too good. And what I wanted to say. I want to say something. I mean, Vasile gets off to this great start. That man had. That man had five of eight from three. He took nine shots. Castle didn't have the greatest shooting day, but he was attacking 808 from the free throw line. But Fox, bro, the turnovers, bro, you. You gotta. You gotta get a grasp on those turnovers. You. You do. You're too good. You're too good of a ball player. You're too good of a ball player to have these kinds of mistakes. Look, if Harper made these mistakes, I'm gonna be disappointed. But y' all understand, this man's a rookie. Yeah, yeah. Darren Fox is at seven, eight, maybe nine year. I think he's an eight or nine year vet. You can't make these kind of mistakes, bro. You can't. You're too good.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I agree.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You're too good.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I agree. He. I think. I think he really got tired. I mean, because the first half was so night and day from the second. It's like that third quarter, I don't know if it just started to wear down on him, but he started to turn it over consecutively. I'm like, damn. And them turnovers started to lead to points for the Knicks. And next thing you know, you go from being up 20 something to only up 17, 15 points. Damn, that's tough on the road, bro.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Well, hey, walk them down.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And the problem is, is that I got Castle. He's so aggressive. He's picking up fouls so late in the ball game, I can't put him on bridges. Yeah, right. So now I got other guys and. And they don't understand. I'm not gonna listen. The one thing I'm not gonna do is I'm not gonna Let Bridges turn back to his dominant hand. If you got him going right, Joe. Don't let him change on you and come back to his dominant hand to the middle.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
You can't. Talking about Brunson.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah. Bronson. Excuse me. Bridges. Brunson.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes. Brunson. Brunson. Yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, man. Listen, obviously this is probably the best game he had in the series, but I. Yes. I still thought, you know, they, they. They applied a lot pressure, a lot of pressure to him, and he made a lot of tough shots tonight.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He made a lot of tougher. The running and one.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. Yeah. Hey, the man shooting some hail. Marriage. Now he's shooting some hail. Murdered. And he can't. Hey, he's striking lighting. But.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, I mean, you got a 28. You got 28 bench points to 8, to 10, to 12. You got 28 bench points to 12.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I mean.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean, based on how they shot the ball. Think about it. The Knicks end up shooting better from the floor and the three than the Spurs.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
That's crazy. The boys got tired, man, in that second half.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, hey, hey, Joe. Yeah. I'm just curious now. Now that you've seen how this series is going, obviously, we.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
We up.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
We up 3 1. I just want to know your belief in your spurs now. I mean, you think. Has anyone ever come back from 3:1? I remember.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I remember.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Did it. You know, I'm just curious on your thoughts on the Series now and who you think is going to win.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I still believe the Series going six games.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I just want to see.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I think they come back.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Okay, I understand.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I think they come back to New York.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Ocho, who's gonna win the series? That's all I want to know. I want to see if. I just want to see where y' all at now with it.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean. Joe, I guess we already out here. We might as well go and stand out here. Bye.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey, mom, riding the thing to the wheel fall off. Ocho, I ain't changing my. Damn, man. Damn, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Oh, oh, so.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Oh, oh, so you still.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, okay.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Okay. You know what, Joe?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You willing to die?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Okay. Hey, I tell you what. Will you enjoy that hill up there? Uncle, talk to him and talk to
Joe (Host/Analyst)
me now with that.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, don't feel bad.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You can switch sides. No, they.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They play. They play too well, the Spurs. But that inexperience, that youth bites him in the butt. Ms. Johnson, right? Ocho? Joe, bro, how many times are you going to let him go on these runs and you don't call a timeout?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I Don't know, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean, hey, Joe, you know, we rolling dice, and Joe get hot. We gonna catch the dice, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm sorry, bro. Hey, nah, you ain't gonna keep licking me out the door.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm just saying.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. You got. You got to disrupt that rhythm.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I gotta do something.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, Spade's head, you keep getting. You. Hey, you keep getting six sound books, man. I gotta throw my hand in one time. Well, Apple, I don't know. Hey, Joe, I gotta disrupt it. I gotta have. You just shovel discombobulated.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Okay. So y'.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
All.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Y' all sticking with the spurs? Okay. All right.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, it's. I'm shocked.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Oh, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Look, I don't get a loss for words often. You know, I like to think I have a pretty nice vocabulary. I like to think that I, you know, in matter. No matter the situation, I can have a. I can have a conversation or I can tell you, okay, this is what I'm thinking or this is what I think. I'm at a loss for words, man. 29 points. Yeah, 29.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And then, hey, hey, the Knicks start playing that desperate basketball. Next thing you know, now, they'd have made a couple shots.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They, they, they, they.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They don't. Woke the Garden up the crowd and got into it. And then you start to have these damn turnovers. Next thing you know, I. I knew
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, when they got. When they got that thing to, like, nine.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I say, spurs, y' all in trouble. I said, spurs, you in trouble now. Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Every. Every possession matters at that point.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And then they, they, they. They. They build it back up, and they let him go on another run.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And I said, well,
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
yeah. Hey, listen, now, not only did they shot Lee when they got fatigued, but they damn defense went out the door.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And it's all of a sudden, Joe, they scratch. They don't know who to guard. It's like, bro. And it's like. It's. They get in between, just like, okay. Women's like, am I gonna catch? Am I gonna hedge? I mean, what am I gonna do? You know? Am I gonna. You know, I'm gonna retreat?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He get. Hey. He get caught in between, and it ends up bad either way. But I. I. But I knew this. I was like, bro, y', all. Y'. All. Y' all can't let Brunson get going. He's the last guy you can let get go. You don't want to let him see the ball go in because you Know what? When he sees the ball go in, he thinks all them go. Go in, and he gonna keep shooting it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He got away from him tonight.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, y' all got spurs winning next game at home, huh? Because they planned at home.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Even though they can go in there and beat him twice in the first two games.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, I got this. I got the spurs winning now.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean, Joe, Joe, if you think of. Think about. Look, I don't even want to think about it, because it should be three one Spurs. I don't even want to talk about that.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, man.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Oh, it should be, huh?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, Ocho, just keep up. I mean.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I mean, listen.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, Joe, Joe.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Y', all.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Y', all, y', all, listen. It should be 3:1 spurs, but it's 3:1, and y' all still continuously going.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
We coming. It's coming back to the. Hold on. What's today? Oh, the. Saturday. The game is Saturday. They're coming back to the Garden on Tuesday, Ocho. I'm coming back to the Garden on Tuesday, Ocho.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Yeah, and what happened if they don't come?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They're coming back, and it's going to be a hero.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Nightcap. Hold on.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
On Nightcap. Y' all said they was winning the game tonight.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on. Come on.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They gagged it, though.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
So what if they gagged?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They gonna do that?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
We've seen him first.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They gonna do that.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They just want to make history, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
All right.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, I think the thing is, Wimby. Hey, I love your tenacity. I love. But, bro, you got to give him some conditioning. And. And the problem is, Joe, it's the end of the season, everybody.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Whoa, listen.
Pets Best Insurance Announcer
Hold on.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, no, no, Ocho, when you play. Listen. When you play 35 minutes a night, and all of a sudden I'm asking you to play playoff 45 minutes a night. It is not the same.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey, hey. And it damn sure ain't the same. You got people out there football tackling you in there and all and carrying on. Damn. What Alvarado out there doing.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hold on.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Well, we ain't say nothing about. Wimy was smoothing.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, man. There wasn't even no basketball play, bro. Like, the man literally, like, tried to football attack. Come on, man. What are we doing? I told y' all they gonna get us some hard files. Now they.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm. I'm surprised they didn't throw Mitchell Robinson out. Yeah, because that was. That was. That was a straight forearm to the chin.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yep, yep.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
It wasn't. No, it wasn't. Know what Happened. I mean, he. I mean, he just. Boom.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. I told y', all, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah. Oh, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not surprised because, you know they're
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
gonna get him back, but they let too much.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, I thought. No, Joe. I thought in the process of trying to get him back, it got them out of their game.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yep. Yep.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And somebody had to sell him. I don't know if it was Mike Brown. I don't know if it was Rick Brunson. I don't know if one of the leaders on the team says, okay, enough. Let's just play basketball.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, bro.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Gonna be okay, Joe.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Jordan, man. Jordan.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I'm here for you, man. Hush that up, bro. Come on. Keep.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, I. I just. I. I'm surprised. I. I'm shocked. I. I'm not the only one. They're going to be talking. They're going to be talking about this. This is going to be talked about. I. Look, they talk about the game seven when Willis Reed ran out the locker room with that torn quad, and they're going to be talking about this game. They're going to be talking about this game. 50 years from now, if the Knicks win this series. Like, they talked about that game sales and Willis Reed, only I don't know if he scored. He might have had two points, might have had four points.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
But that tip in by og, they gonna bring. They gonna always talk about that. Man, that was a huge offensive rebound and put back, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yep.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Ration to the board, everybody.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He had one offensive rebound tonight, and that was it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Wow.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That was it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
OG, man. Hey, hey.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
But OG's been steady. He's been. If you go back and look at consistency and field goal percentage and everything, he's been the most consistent player. Yeah, he's been the most consistent player every. When they've needed a big shot for. So he's hit it. Yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
When they needed a big defensive stand, he's made it.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
And he was a fit. He was efficient tonight.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
If you go back and look, Ash put his numbers on the screen. What he's shooting from the floor.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He's been.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He's been like 50 in every game he's played. Yeah, Joe, I'm not so sure he shot under 50 yet.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He probably had. Man, that man been on fire, but he.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He's been on fire since he's come
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
back from the hamstring.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Since the Cleveland. From the Cleveland game.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
So when he got back up, you know, he missed all. He got, Nick. He missed all of Sixers, Philly. Yeah, but since he's been back, man, he been on a mission. Before we get to OG start, here's Wimby after the game, Motions in the locker room afterwards. And just what was going through your mind that you walked off the floor? I don't know about the emotions, but it was painful. Of course. It feels like we're missing. We work too hard and give up our leads, you know, just as simple as that. It's just, it just hurts.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's supposed to.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes. When asked what happened, he said execution, greediness. Clearly we weren't the most hungry in the second half. No, greediness is what it was because you took ill advised shots. You the, you, you, you Wimby too. I'm not. Yeah, all you guys. But you Wimby, because you got three offensive rebounds and you stood outside at the three point line and you jacked up three after three after three. You didn't even attempt to put the ball on the floor and try to get to the rim. Didn't even need it. And that's what I'm saying. I don't understand. I'm saying why are you shooting a 3? You're in the bonus. Why are you shooting a 3 with 18 seconds on the clock?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
We gotta milk some of this.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
If you swing, swing, swing. Okay, Joe. Hey, swing, swing, swing. I'm wide open, Joe, I get it. But swing and launch a three.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
No, you gotta. Hey, man, they, they were playing more not to lose than, than to win.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Oh, once they got. Once the, Once the Knick got on. Yes, they did. I agree.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Once the, Once the Knicks got on that roll and they cut it to 15 and they got it under 15.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's when they start. They, they really tense.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, they did.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They really tensed up prior to that Ocho Joe. They were pray they had a 20 something point lead. They tried to get it to 40. Yeah, but it was trying to get it to 40 in one shot.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
As opposed to playing how did we get this lead? Let's continue to play like that, man. But did everybody want to jack up three hot? But hey, let me see if I can get hot from three. I don't know why, why did he take again, why did he take Harper
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
out again, man, I don't even know, bro. I thought they would. I thought they were doing a good job at giving up one shot, rebounding the ball and going down, getting the best shot available, penetrating, getting in the teeth of that defense and spraying out. Swing, swing. They were getting great Looks, man, I'm talking about knocking. They were knocking down shots left and right. All of a sudden, boy, that ball go to sticking it don't it. It started not to move as much as it was in that first half. Next thing you know. Come on, man. I don't know what you want from me, Ocho. Damn.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Nothing, Joe, I'm just listening. I'm listening to your analyst. You know, I, I understand, I understand the frustrations you and I have right now.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Oh, gee. Shoot, he shot 70. He shot 78 from the three tonight. He shot 49 from the three the other night he shot 40. He shot 50%. So in four games he hasn't shot less than 40% from the three point line. Tonight he was 67% from the floor. The other night he was 69% from the floor. The other Night he was 50% from the floor. And the first game he was 41.7. So 42% from the floor. The man is shooting damn near 60% from the three point line and 60 plus percent from the, from the field. He's shooting free throws tonight. 100 the other night, 78. A hundred percent. 100. 100%.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
It's he. I, I, like I said, I chat.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Take your time, huh?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It will hurt then. I already know it.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, I mean, it would. Can you imagine had I been, had this been the Lakers? Y' all had to do the show by yourself. I wasn't coming on. I woke up. Oh, hell no. I mean this, this is not even, this is not even my team. It didn't hurt. I can imagine. I can imagine how spurs fans feel. I can imagine how spurs alumni Tim Duncan, David Robinson and Tony Parker and Manu Coach Pop, man, Coach Pop probably gonna have had, had what you call him, to drive him out there to the airport and you know, they gotta help him. And he's like, kim, walk by, hold me, hold me and walk by. Put puss in everybody ass. They won't pass. You get one, you get one. Hey, Fox, come here. Come back. I need you to pass back through, cuz. You get two,
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
bro. I mean, just, wow. I can't. Like, I'm sitting there watching. I can't even believe it, bro. But I know, you know, I know what the niggas know for. But I'm like, damn. You know, the spurs got some dogs, bro. They ain't gonna let these dudes walk them all the way down like that. Yeah, they may cut it to, they may cut it to about 12, you know, boom. They'll go back up. Turnover, turnover, turnover.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
But I need so I, I can we get Fox because I want to know what he was thinking and why and somebody, I need a reporter to ask him. Why would you attempt the shot there when you already got a lead if you don't have a lead? Oh, Joe and Ocho, I understand it, but you gotta leave, right? If the clock, if the clock. If the. The timer off the clock, you win. Cause you're up one now. Hey, I'm putting on that speed. Cause you know they can't catch him, Joe. Yeah, I take. Because by the time they catch him, it might be like three seconds on the clock.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
That man did not want to shoot no free throws, bro. That's why he shot that damn ball. He'd rather take that contested layup than to hold that ball. And them boys foul. And he had to go to that line, man, I'm telling y'. All.

Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah man. Cause last game, Ocho when Castle inbound the ball, he threw it back to Castle so fast. I was like, damn. Why didn't just hold it? He could have shot the two free throws.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, and if it's first only made Mitch Johnson, Wimby and Harper available to the media. So no Castle and no Fox.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
See, I don't like this. So let me ask you a question. Who was made available to the media last game?
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Everybody. Because they won.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, they trying to get back saying, antonio, we ain't got all day.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Come on, come on, you got plenty of time.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Bus leaving up out of here in a few 20 minutes. We ain't got. We ain't got time for about two people.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
That's it.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, I need you to explain to me what's going on. Ms. Johnson's head. Why. Why is he letting these. Letting. Letting these Knicks go on these huge spurts and not calling time out? What's. What's up with his lineup? Why not Dylan Harper instead of Kelvin Johnson?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I don't know, man. You know what? I like to fight that Kelvin Johnson brings at times, but sometimes it'd be,
Joe (Host/Analyst)
you don't play smart basketball.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It don't, man. It don't.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You don't play smart basketball. I love his hustle, but hustle? And when you don't have iq, you guess what you'll do? You'll get the ball and then throw it. Turn it over. Yeah. What have you done?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's hard, man. Damn. I don't know.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm looking. I think. Go ahead.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I think, Mitch. I think, Ms. Johnson, the only. The only excuse I could give him is that he probably has so much trust in his team that he probably didn't feel like he needed to call a timeout. Outside of that, I don't know why he didn't call the timeout.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, you're a young team. Listen, okay, Let me tell you. Why you call a timeout is because you've seen the situation before, how they bubble in a situation when you got the ball and you got a chance to win the game.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
What did you do when you didn't call timeout? You turned it over Sometimes. Yeah. If you got a veteran ball club. If I got a guy like a Steph Curry, I got a LeBron or I got a Jordan. If I got somebody of that magnitude, that's. This team is 25 years of age. Your best two players are 22. Give me a time out. Because at some point in time, Joe, maybe it's not a message. Maybe I'm just trying to break Nick's rhythm, right?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Or, gee, go give your boys a quick breather.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Or, hey, Mitchell. Mitchell, Robinson in the game. File his ass. No, he making shoot free throws.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
No, he ain't making no free throw.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, he the worst. He the worst free throw shooter in playoff history. So he ain't gonna give you nothing. Ain't nobody. Ain't nobody expected him. He was over four tonight. Ain't nobody thought he was gonna make any of them free throws. I'm surprised he shoot 37 at that at his. At his. At his MO. Is his shooting motion, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's crazy to me, bro. I don't understand that. I'm be honest with you. That meant you ain't put no time in shooting no free throw, bro, for you to shoot that type of percentage. Because, boy, if they ain't the biggest insult that you can have that somebody can give you when you come in, they foul you right away.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Come on, man. Yeah, they think you pretty garbage at the line, boy.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And. And Wemby don't think we didn't see you buck on those free throws that late. Yeah, yeah, I think we didn't see that now.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Because Team Nightcap, we've he praised on you. Yeah, but you gagged on them free throws, bro.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Oh, he missed two. He missed both of them, didn't he?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes, he got.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And what it. What shows me also, Joe, when a guy starts shooting threes, you're like, hey, looking for somebody to bail him out. He ain't looking. Cause early in the game, he aggressive. You see, I was going to the. Hey, what he do? He went to the. Went to the. The paint on Robinson. Yeah. I mean, your head.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Go to the left hand.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Now he just wants to sit out there.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
He tired, huh? His legs ain't up. Ain't up underneath him. You can't do what he did in the first half.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn, you right. You're right, Ocho. When that fatigue sit in, it makes a coward of us all, boy. Super.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Super.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And. But that's the thing. He's gonna have to get. He's gonna have to get better. And see, the thing is, he can't. They can't get. They can't give him a breather because Luke Cornette has been awful. He played four minutes, and guess what he. 000,000. One steel. 000 and three fouls.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's hard to put. It's hard to play him, bro. Hard to plan.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Hey, y' all mad? Got people in the chat. Mad at me because I'm right. Oh, you ain't give one logical take yet. I gave you a logical take before the series started, the Knicks was gonna win. That's logic.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And who.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Who did that inbounds pass? Was it wasn't Harper, was it?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hold on.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
At the end game.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, that was Dylan Harper.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Why not? Castle? I guess. I guess, you know, well, we can second guess. We can second guess. I mean, look, you want. You want your best. You want your best passers to handle the ball so it's either Harper or Castle. He went with Harper. I can't. Hey, but it looked like the ball. Did the ball get tipped? It looked like it got tipped, man.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I don't even know. I ain't gonna lie to you.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, cuz. Whatever happened, Joe, you had to turn. You had to turn it off, man.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey, man, I can't believe this, bro. I can't. I. I was. I ain't gonna lie. The whole second half, I was in awe. Especially when they cut it to, like, nine. I knew it was a good. I knew it was a ball game then. And
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Cat tipped it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And that tough three that Cat made.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yes. That step.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yes.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I said.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Damn. When he made that. I don't know, bro. It's like the. The. It's like the building erupted. It's like the. The. I don't know. It's like San Antonio couldn't think straight. Hell, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And that's what you try to do, is that you try to keep the crowd at bay as long as you possibly can, Joe. Because as long as I got the crowd at bay, I can hear. I can communicate. High side, low sync. I can do all that, bro. Why is the tr. You know, I can. I. I can communicate. Once the crowd get into it. I. You can't, man, you know, that crowd gets so loud, Joe, you could be standing right next to somebody. You can't hear them.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Trust me. I know.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I know.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And, you know, like, people think the Garden is a huge place. It's not like a huge arena.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
You know, everybody is real compact to where everybody's kind of like, on top of each other.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Right on top of each other.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's. It's, you know, so. I know. That was a. A hell of a feeling, boy, to be in that mix. Damn, man, that was. Hey, that was a. It was a good game, though. Good game. Knicks done what they've been doing all post season, bro.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And the problem is, Joe, is that Cat's seven foot tall, so you're probably not going to be able to get it over the top of him. You're probably going to have to make. You're going to probably have to make a pass like this here, Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. And they had Cat bottled up the whole game.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah. No, but I'm saying Cat was on the inbound.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
So the likelihood of Dylan Harper. Dylan Harper's what, six, four, six, five? Let's just say for the. We'll give him six, five.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Cat, seven foot. Okay. He does this. He's over eight foot.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
So the likelihood of you getting something over the top, you're probably gonna have to do this, get something. And I. I know you don't want to get something. You want to get something going towards the basket because you only got 1.2 seconds, Joe. You don't want to get anything going away from the basket, because by the time you get it, turn. Yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
This one here going, boy. Hey, you thought that game two was bad when he.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
When he.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
When Wendy threw that. That ball off Castle back.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yep.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Yeah.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Trying to get. It ain't got nothing on this one. It ain't got nothing on this collapse here.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. And again, I'm saying they're gonna come. I'm saying they're gonna come back. But I don't know how you overcome this, because Cleveland never overcame this. Nah, that game one collapse they had, Joe. Cleveland never overcame it. I will. I. But I will. I will concede this. That costly turnover in game two. The spurs still summons it up to take game three.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
So. I don't know, Joe, what's up?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's a tough one Chat. I know it's. Hey, I know some people out there hurting, too, boy.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, they talk about Unc must have lost some money. Unc ain't lose no money.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I ain't neither.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Uncle ain't got no money. Hey, uncle ain't got no money to be a betting on no games that I. Hey, I can't control the outcome. Hell, I need to bet on something that I can control. Help control.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
This don't do nothing, man. Neither one of my team. Yes, I would like six or seven games, man, I started like, man. Man, I really like Wimby, and I think a lot of people like Wimby, but they gonna get tired and they go start rooting against Wimby. Everybody likes Shay until Shea started winning multiple MVPs and they go in. This team was really good, Joe. Yeah, everybody liked Jordan. I mean, they probably still did, but when you win, everybody used to until Magic started winning all day. Man, I'm tired of the Lakers. Boo. Magic Bird, same thing. That's what happens. It's going to come to give. Give it another three to four years, five years. And people have disliked Wimby just like they do most of the other great
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
players after you start winning too damn much.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yep, yep, yeah. Yep.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
It won't be this year, Uncle Joe. Won't be this year.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Bad. That bad, Ocho, man, go ahead on with that.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I I ain't saying that, you know, I've been nice and calm. I'm not gloating, I'm not talking grass. I'm just saying. I'm just staying. No, minimal, minimal facts, you know, that's it. But it was a good game. I enjoy it. Hey, I enjoyed it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, the Spur, I'm.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I'm looking for Dear and Fox. Hey. Yeah, he got to do eight days in the county. He got to do eight days in the county for that, that performance, what he did right there.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah. Damn. Bo
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Wemby on what's going through his mind after the spurs game for a loss. What's going through my mind right now is going to go one of two ways. A bad one or a good one. The bad one is giving up. The good one will be getting stronger through this.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey, the young man believe, man, he think they can do the unthinkable.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, but Joe, Joe, what's the likelihood of them getting another 29 point lead on a sea in the series? Joe?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Not.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Not happening.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You do realize when you get that big of a lead and a team come backs and beat get you, you realize a 10, 15 or 20 point lead is nothing. Yeah, but if you had a 20, you had a 29 point lead in the second half of a ball game. You had a 15 point lead going to the fourth quarter and they got you. So what's. What's to say, Ocho Joe, you got a five point lead going into the fourth quarter, then what?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I don't know. I just think. I think they have the remedy to beat him. Ever since the first two games they took Wimby off of Cat. Cat ain't. Cat ain't really been doing any past couple games, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
But they ain't been able to do nothing with OG and Bronson.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Nah, Brunson got. Brunson got loose today. OG being pretty consistent, but hell, Josh Harden, Bridges ain't really get. I mean, you gonna cancel out a couple of them dudes, bro. I thought they. I mean, think about the, the defense that they were playing early in their first half, bro. Like them dudes couldn't get nothing. They was. Everything was on the string. It's like in the second half, man, they lost a defensive intensity as well as their offensive execution. They stopped executing jacking up shots.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Joe, they got outside, they got outside of the ultra scheme.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I know, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Do y', all. Do y' all got. Joe, you played the game. Y' all got a scheme where you go, you just start, you get a big lead and you Just start launching up threes. You start turning it over. What they call that in the game
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
plan, not, not in the postseason.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I've.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Now, I've been in a situation where we've been down damn near 30 and came all the way back and took the lead. So I know what it's like. You know what I mean? You know, I just, I just think there has to be some calming from your guards to. Okay, cool. Let's run this pick and roll. Let's get the best shot available. Even if we run off 22 seconds of the damn clock. That's better than just coming down jacking up threes, bro. Trying to hit the dagger like, we already up 25, 27, 29 damn points.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
So, Joe, I'm thinking, so what's the difference between being up 29 and 32? Because you're putting yourself at great risk taking all those unnecessary threes. Now you get out of rhythm. Go ahead, Ocho.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
I say if you don't make them. Yes, this is the problem. It was up 29, still jacking up threes. They just weren't making their shots. They're trying to extend the lead as much as possible because they know how to nick. So they're gonna call, they're going to crawl and scroll and, and fight their way back into a game.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
But you run your offense because you get, you got that lead because you ran your offense.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
That's how you got the lead. You didn't come down and take no arbitrary little willy nilly shots. And I, I just kept tweeting, I know people. Sometimes you'll follow me and you're getting, man, you need to stop. But I'm just, I, I, I just. See, I, I've never played in the NBA, never shot a basket on the NBA court. But I've watched enough basketball and I've seen enough trends to see how this thing was shaping up. And I watched enough and I watched the spurs enough over the last month and a half, two months, Joe, to see. I said they play dumb basketball. They're very, very talented, but they play dumb basketball.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, man.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And I said I and I, and I hate using that term dumb, but they're not. They don't use their iq. And so sometimes you think just because I'm talented, I'll give me a guy. I'll tell you what, I'll take a guy that's less talented, that understands the game and can have a tremendous basketball or a football iq, and I'm gonna beat you. Yeah,
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Very, very unfortunate tonight. I mean, the way the ball was hopping early in the first half, getting great shots. See, once you, if you want to play ISO basketball to where you have a split second and kind of going to your moves. I thought in the first half when it was swing, swing, and you catch a guy closing out at you. Ocho, now you at my mercy, bro. Now we can bop, bop. You don't get no more than about two dribbles, and you get into your bag. You know what I mean? They were, man, they were getting what they wanted at will in their first half. And just when they got fatigued, bro, the ball stopped moving.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
The.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
The defensive energy and synergy wasn't there because they wasn't on that stream. Now they giving up wide open shots, and guys just looking at OG just laced it up. I'm like, damn, OG ain't missed all that damn postseason.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Nope.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
You gonna give him a dare shot?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I just didn't understand. You're in the bonus and you're jacking up threes, and you're up double digits. I just, I just need to know why I did miss Johnson. Did you. Did anybody say anything? Guys, we're in the bonus. Let's be aggressive, let's be smart. I understand if, if, if, if a wide open, but we don't need to take unnecessary threes. We don't need to take rush threes. We don't need to take one swing and take a three. Hey, make them Bay. Make them guard multiple times.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Wow.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And the thing I, I look, it's hard when we play 44 minutes. He can't get a break because Cornette comes in and gives you nothing. Just files.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And they go right at him, too.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
They go right. Yeah. And then turnovers. I mean, they had two. What? They have two turnovers in the first half. They had nine in the second half.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And. And the thing is, when you turn the ball over, the really good teams make you pay for it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yep.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
It's not good enough that we turned you over. We got to make you pay for it by putting points on the board. And that's what they did.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
They did, man. The Knicks made big shot at the big shot three. Alvarado, OG Brunson, Cat.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah, no, but, but we've been talking about and, and everybody. Oh, who, Who? Wimby. Wimy missed the free throws tonight. Everybody else, Boxer, two or two. Versailles was one on one. Castle eight of eight. Harper was two or two with. Hey, Wendy felt that pressure down the stretch. Joe. No Joe.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
For him to get them free throws. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But they were big free throws, bro. Yeah, yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Cause what was they up? That'll put them up. What? That'll put them up five or six.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
I think they would have put them up six. I think they were four.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah. And then just selling for threes, just shooting the three. I'm like, bro, you don't win big. You've been putting the ball when you put the ball, and good things happen. They fire you or you get the bucket.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
He got no legs, huh?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
I get it. He can't. I mean, it's hard.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
It's hard.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
It's. It's. It's. It's. It's hard because he's not used to playing those minutes. It's like, I can only run. I can only run so fast, and when somebody makes me run faster than I'm used to running, I might can run faster than I'm used to running. But how long can I keep it up, though, Ocho?
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
See, that's the problem that you run into. You might be able to push it, you know, hey, in nascar, sometimes you're like, hey, we only getting X amount of. Hey, we got to push it because we can't afford to pit here because, hey, we're gonna lose some ground. So let's push it.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Okay. Okay. Wow. Pushed it. And there's a difference between playoff minutes and Regular season minutes. 44. 44 minutes of playoff minutes. That's a whole different ball game.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Hey, you talking about exerting the energy and effort.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Well, listen, he's a guy that plays on both ends of the court.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
He has to, too.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yep.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
And.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
And. And. But, you know, and tonight, you know, he got some stuff going to the basket. I said, that's a good sign. Reminds me of the start, how it started out in game three.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Then all of a sudden, Ocho and Joe, he just started drifting.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Like, bro, the game got dirty. Huh? They got. The game got dirty. You seen what they started doing out there, man?
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
You know what I'm thinking, Joe? How can you not like a guy like Jalen Brunson? Ain't no business. He ain't got no business whatsoever. He ain't about to catch no lobs. You know what I'm saying, Joe? He ain't about to do that. Hey, he ain't about to D nobody up but that joker mindset.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
He is a kill or be killed guy.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, yeah. I like bad.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Hey, that's. Hey, that Joe will get to go. That Joe get the patent. Some of the shots he making, Joe I still don't know how he make it. I don't know how.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, you know what I like? I like that he's, that he's even killed Uncle Ocho. Meaning. Yes, he, he, you know, he has that stoic mindset to where you don't. He ain't gonna never let you know what he's really thinking. So even if he ain't making shots, he might be pissed off with himself, but he ain't gonna let you know it. Even if he, if he is making them, you know, he keeps that same energy effort and I respect it, bro. I mean, he a warrior. He, he fierce competitor and he competes, bro. Regardless of the score. Regardless of the score, man, that man gonna come out and compete, bro.
Chad Ochociko Johnson
The funny thing about it too is as well as he's played, always being even killed, like you said, Joe rarely shows emotion even when he hits some of his biggest shots. You know, most, you know how most of those players are when they hit shots, you know, that are really big, especially to win a game. He always keeps that sense of, you know what the job at task is not over yet. Not over yet. It's not done.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Down by as many as 29, the Knicks fight all the way back. Win a one point game. 107 to 106. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby was tremendous. OG played 41 minutes. He was 33, 33 points, 10 of 15 from the floor, 7 of 9 from the 3, 6 of 6 from the free throw line. Jalen Brunson played 44 minutes. If I'm not mistaken, he might have played the entire second half as look up and see if he played the entire second half because I don't remember him coming out. He had 36 points on 12 of 25 shooting, 3 of 7 from the 3, 9 of 11 from the free throw line, 5 rebounds, 7 assists. Only 3 turnovers, but he had 3 big steals. Cat. 13 points, 10 rebounds. Cat. After early foul trouble, he settled in and that's in the fourth quarter. And he was huge.
Ocho (Co-host/Analyst)
Yeah, huge.
Joe (Host/Analyst)
Cat was huge. So the Knicks one went away winning the first title and what, four, 53 years on.

Podcast: Nightcap
Hosts: Shannon Sharpe (“Unc”), Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (“Ocho”), and “Joe” (analyst)
Date: June 11, 2026
Episode Focus: Instant reaction and deep analysis of Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals, in which the New York Knicks overcame a historic 29-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106.
This episode gives an immediate, unfiltered breakdown of one of the most shocking comebacks in NBA Finals history. After the Knicks erase a 29-point deficit against the Spurs, the hosts dissect how it happened, who’s at fault, what it means for both teams, and the emotional aftermath—especially for superstar Victor Wembanyama (“Wemby”) and Spurs supporters. The banter is lively, emotional, and mixes hard-hitting analysis with classic trash talk.
Ocho’s Pre-game Confidence:
“We've already seen the Knicks in a series ... be down by a lot and always scratch and crawl and fight their way back into games. And Jalen Brunson, most of the time, he's a savior when it matters most. He's extremely clutch.” (08:51, Chad)
Joe on Spurs’ Meltdown:
“You let him go on a 20–4 run before you call the timeouts ... I've been telling you this all along.” (12:23, Joe)
Wembanyama on the Loss:
“I don't know about the emotions, but it was painful. Of course. It feels like we're missing. We work too hard and give up our leads ... it just hurts.” (47:31, Wemby/quoted by Joe)
Analogy to Falcons’ Defeat:
“This is patriots, falcons, 28, three.” (23:05, Joe)
On fatigue and pressure:
“When that fatigue sit in, it makes a coward of us all, boy.” (61:28, Ocho)
Ocho’s tongue-in-cheek humility:
“I'm not gonna talk trash ... I'm gonna act like I've been right before, like I always have, because there's no reason for me to gloat, Joe.” (08:51, Chad)
