It did not let. Did not end the way either would preferred it.

They're saying the Steelers will pursue him because we're thinking at the end of this season Aaron Rodgers will be gone if they're not giving him a contract right now. It's going to be a proven year right now for CJ Strout if they don't get a contract with the Texans. So understanding that we don't have our franchise quarterback if he goes out and balls out, we are going to be in the. We're going to be in the ballpark of looking for a franchise quarterback soon. So if CJ Strout is available, you know what I'm saying, it ends up balling out on after this for this play, for this prove it year. Because the thing is this, Deebo, you know the NFL, you know how it goes. You gotta strike when it's hot. It's what have you done for me lately? CJ Strout came in hot rookie season, you know What I'm saying, Rookie offensive player of the year, you know what I'm saying? Led them to the playoffs second year, you know what I'm saying? 20, 20 interceptions. I mean 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions. Went to the playoffs again, had a nice season.

And, and then that season was nice. Dude, he doubled his interceptions. He did more than double actually. He went from 5 the year before to 12. Yes, they still played less games, I believe. No, he played more games that year. I take it back. He still, he was what, 3,800. I mean the yards in the pat.

The yards are 4,000 yards to 3,700 interceptions. The big, big things definitely was the picks was the picks and his trajectory was when you see a player starting off at the rookie year and you're thinking you have a franchise quarterback, you drafted them, you, you're believing in them. The, the play, the play was showing and for. It was good. When you start doing the second year, like you said, doubling interceptions, you know what I'm saying? And then third year we're hoping that you. Obviously the Texans don't want him to be good. The defense is exactly where it needs to be and it ends with a bad taste in your mouth. And you know, you remember those years of, you know what I'm saying, rookie season, second year wasn't all that. But then third year it's like hold on, hold on now the contracts are. Trevor Lawrence, the $50 million a year. When you have a franchise quarterback, the, it's, it's time. That's what they're getting paid. That's the market is so for Strout in the Texans. The Texans are looking at like okay, we, we kind of. But what have you done for me lately? It's not looking good when we get to the playoffs with this great defense and we're throwing picks on, on CJ Strout side and his agent, they're like don't forget about what's going on. You know what I'm saying? Like he did go offensive player of the year. These stats are still up in there. With 63 touchdowns, 25 inter total. These are still good numbers. He still has trajectory to be a franchise quarterback. So his agent is still going to be pushing for the 55, 60 million dollar mark. Right now the Houston Texans are like hold on, I have caused the pause. What I see on this tape from the last couple of, from the season before this one and then we get to the playoffs with the good defense, you're throwing picks, you know what I'm saying? Like we we have the defense to get there. It was the offense that kind of was failing us. It was looking, looking crazy playing against the Steelers, then the next one playing against the. The Patriots. Both of those games, defense stood up. They were making plays the whole time. It was the offense that was lacking and him not looking like he knew kind of what was going on. So that's where it's. It's a big difference. The big gap. Adrian is looking for that 55 and like, I'm a franchise quarterback. Texans are like, hold up. Like, you gotta still. What have you done for me lately? If it was your rookie season that you played in with 25 picks and five interceptions. Okay, now we're talking to different. We're singing a different tune because I'm. What have you done for me lately? It's. I'm trying to give you a contract on what I've seen just now. So with them thinking the Steelers are interested, it's just because we're in the market of a quarterback after the season if he plays well, you know what I'm saying? With this play, this prove it year and the Texans don't give him a contract, then we will be in the market. I'm. I'm not knowing to go sign them, but we'd be in the market of a quarterback.

Well, should the Steelers pursue him? Like, should they actually pursue him to make him our quarterback?

Then they ain't gonna get nowhere on this deal if they're not trying to get a man to 55 to 60 million because he know, like, if I go in here and bet on myself that next year they go have to franchise me and I'm sitting at 50 million. Right. Somewhere around there.

Right. So this right here, like I said, I don't think. I don't think we should pursue him. I don't. I don't see it as. I don't. I don't see it as a good idea. Like. Like you said, the big thing is, dude, playoffs, like what you did in the playoffs, you've got numbers, actually gotten lower. He barely cracked. Well, he missed games last year, but he barely cracked 3, 000 yards passing last year. Dude.

Yes, I'm with Debo for the Steelers. I don't think it would be a good option for us to pursue CJ I think him at the Texans, the defense is what we're looking for. Their defense was the best defense, one of the best defense in the league. You know what I'm saying? Coming to us. We're trying to get our defense for sure. We know what our defense can be, but it's not there yet. We need a quarterback that's going to come over here, and if our defense is playing like that, we need to be winning games instantly. So I'm not C.J. i know that Houston, they got something to figure out with C.J. i think that with the Steelers, we don't need to be worrying about C.J. stroud. You know what I'm saying? That's more of a Texans problem 1000%. I was just saying for us moving forward, we know we're going to need a franchise quarterback for sure. So just somebody putting C.J. in the market. I'm not rocking with it, but I can see why they, like, in the future, if the Texans aren't rocking with C.J. any franchise quarterback available, they're going to tag them to the Steelers and being. Trying to figure out what's going on, you know what I'm saying?

He said, Being 23, I'm not fully in my grown man body all the way yet. I'm still growing each year. And then you said I'm. Then you said later. I feel like I'm getting old. I ain't light as I used to be. I can't get out like I want to. I can't get on there. When I was like 180, I could move. I could do this. I was quick. I was that. Huh? I don't need that mentality at my quarterback. I'm sorry.

So for me, I believe you will have a chance now to actually see a measurable comparison of coaching with a coach that coaches and a coach that motivates. That's what I think only time will tell.

of the year like you just stated, Deebo, I think when he comes in right now, like you said, he's going to come in now with the new energy where end of the day we have the talent here on the team. So keeping everybody accountable for their play on the field, that's all it is. I think that they got a little bit of leniency and a little bit of smoothness and a little bit of letting everything just be blase where that's where just coach, you know, and it's not. But it's just years of being around and just. It just got comfortable. New coach coming in, Coach McCarthy from Pittsburgh, loves the area, knows what he got to do. He understands the situation that he's in. So do the players. So does TJ Watt, so, so does Cam Hayward, so Does Jalen Ramsey, DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr. End of the day I believe that he can do it because he's just speaking on. We know, Deebo, when we say this about our defense, the players that are out there, we know they can play. We know that. The way that we can tell the coach is if they're being coached into being. Nobody's running scot free. The players out there, we've seen them be the best in the league. We seen them go to pro Bowls, we've seen them be all pros. Who when we see them, we just need to see them as a team, executing as one, talking consistently, playing consistently. And that comes from now we'll know with Coaching. That's going to tell by if the people are running scot free through our defense, our defensive ranking is going to drop down to the top 10.

dudes doing this, dudes pointing. If a body's on a body, our defense is top 10, period. Once dudes start making plays, our defense can be number one. So just people on everybody just lining it up and just lining it up. Now they make them beat. You lining up against us, you're going to be 10 making, start making some plays, TJ start batting balls in the air. Cam Hayward, start doing your thing. Jalen Ramsey, making some picks. Let's turn some of those batted balls. Don't let the batted balls hit the ground. We start making those extra plays. Now our defense is top five. We're talking about two defense in the league. Just because we're not making no bullshit plays, we're not giving up bombs for no reason. We're not just sitting out there looking around and if everybody's lined up, everybody's communicated, we know what's going on. Now beat us now we can see what's going on. Who's not making their plays, why aren't you in your gaps? Then it just looks like a disciplined defense and we see if somebody makes a play, it's because somebody was right there putting their hand in and they're like, oh, that meant nice play. Boom. Line it back up. We can, we can live with that. On the offensive side of the ball everybody keeps talking about, we got old man Aaron. We understand that the, the, whoever just came back with Philip Rivers at 45 off the couch and was swinging the ball for him, don't me, Aaron Rodgers is not way better than that. So get him to get the boys on our team where we get good running game. Aaron Rogers is smart over his shoulders. He still spins the rock. People last season were dropping some passes.

I saw. What takes it to you, where all of this combines to where you say at this level of, what do you feel like? Oh, automatic coach of the year. We got a 25, 24 offense, defense. They finish, they get, we go top

And yeah, we win our division and then we win the, then we, our first playoff game, we win our playoff game, second playoff, and then he's coach of the year for me. I just want to see top 10 on both with just consistency of our Offense looking good, our defense looking good. We look like a good football team. Like not turnovers, not false starts, not people jumping off sides.

D line is everybody's holding their own. Stay in your spot, do your job. So when they do that, I'm like, bro, we got the squad.
