C
Doing good, brother. Debo. Doing good. Good day. We got a Cavs day on the way, so very excited about that.
B
Yeah, you got a game, what? 8 o' clock tonight against New York, huh? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
In Madison Square. In the Garden. In the Garden. My boys gotta come ready.
B
Yeah, they need to. They gotta come ready. I know you seen that game over there between them boys over there with the spurs and the Thunder. Now double overtime.
C
My goodness. Did you watch the game?
B
Listen, man, I'm just trying to tell you since you said I might be a curse, I'm going with anybody in the west.
C
Okay, okay.
B
Understand that.
C
All right. No, listen Joe, let's be honest.
B
Let's be honest. After seeing that. Yes, that's a double Overtime?
C
Yes.
B
They need to double overtime to even get a decision. To hell with who won. They need to double overtime between the team that was sweeping through everything. Yeah, okay. They need a double. Do you really want your calves to be able to somehow miraculously, like, squeak through and beat New York and get up there and get the dog walked out of him?
C
You, you, you, you live to play the game. I want my calves in the ship versus anybody. So before all that, yes, Deebo, I don't care what you talking about. But that game yesterday, Victor and Miana. Victor and Bianna.
B
This what I tried to tell you and Bianna. What's that?
C
Wembiana. Wemby.
B
Wemby. I got you.
C
All right, let me just say.
B
Yeah, just go with Wemby.
C
Yeah. Let's go. Wemby.
B
Yeah.
C
Wemby is a certified alien. Did you see him yesterday?
B
Bro, I've been seeing this dude all year.
C
I don't know how, but this is what I tried to tell you. Everybody was saying, oh, no. Okc, okc, okc.
B
Listen.
C
The regular season record still took them double it. Still, it still took. But guess what?
B
He can't do that every game.
C
Listen to me. They didn't have de' Aaron Fox. They didn't have their starting point guard playing. But who cares because they had my man, Dylan Harper, the number two overall pick. Do you see him out there stepping up? They got other players, so OKC going to have to tighten up. Shet Holmgren, love him to death. He went. He don't really. Him and Wimy got beef. He's 7 foot 2.
B
He gonna have to do something. He going have
C
88 and 2. Ain't gonna cut it with my man drop 41 and 24.
B
You gotta do something, man. You gotta give me some more points. And you gotta slow him down better
C
than you got to do. You got to slow him down too on defense. You know why? Because they got Alex Caruso, Jaylen Williams, and my man Dirt. Dirt, Lou Dirt, all guarded him. They're all six, five. You gotta guard him, Shaq. You got to. You're seven feet too.
B
Listen, listen. If you all. That's all you go give me. I need you to be on defense 24 7. Like your life depend on it, baby.
C
Find a lot.
B
All you gonna give me eight and eight. I can't. Listen, man, go ahead. We go figure out how to pick up the rest of from somewhere else. Cause 8 and 8, I get that from the bench. I get that somewhere for sure. Like go ahead and put your hands on him. Like, go, like, do something.
C
Stand up, fight. Listen, shout out to Alex Caruso because he was out there, dropped 31 and was guarding Wemby getting steals, playing defense. You're not going to get 31 from Alex Caruso all the time. That was his playoff career high. That was unbelievable. He balled out of his mind. Shay 24. They're D and Shay up. They're pushing two at them. They gonna have to have other people perform.
B
That's true.
C
The spurs was looking nice. That's a fact. Wimby looking like a true alien. He stays healthy. Like, I never seen nobody that tall. Deebo, normally once you get over seven feet, your knees, you be moving funny. You don't know how to really handle.
B
Your limbs look different. You move, you look weird.
C
You start getting looking funny. Once you get over 7 foot, he's athletic, he's flexible. You've seen the video. The man that can do the split, like mobile. So I just pray for health and you know what I'm saying, just him being that tall, you know what I'm saying? Dudes normally knees and back and stuff go out.
B
But him, if he stays still, he's still light. He's still light and limber, still light.
C
He can get a little bit of weight on him.
B
Like, you've seen him doing the work in the off season with the flexibility.
C
He's getting. He's getting. And he's getting a little bit bigger. Like, if he does what Giannis did, he don't have to get completely that swole, but still put on a little bit of weight.
B
What do you need to put on a little bit of weight for? He's still doing it right now. You can't do nothing with him.
C
I know, but I know you can
B
put on a little bit of muscle. I understand all that, but just a little bit.
C
Just so he can take all the bumps.
B
Any of the effect that you got now, like, come on now.
C
Just so all of the bumps, though, they all. Now they just getting into him. And because he's so tall, he's so. So. You know what I'm saying? I don't want to have his limbs just frozen around. You got to put a little bit of. Just a. He could be like me, you know? You know what I'm saying? Like, no, I'm not selling. He gotta get swole, like jacked arms like you. I'm saying just a little bit of. You know what I'm saying?
B
Hold up, hold up.
C
Yeah, could you. Cause. Hold up.
B
Why you playing? You see Muscle or something.
C
You see, that's a rock. Okay. Yeah. You see that rock?
B
Yeah. My vision must be bad. I can't. I can't see it. I can't see a damn thing. What that is?
C
Nugget on the top. That look like that?
B
Hey, man, that look like you swimming in a. A triple medium jersey. Look at it.
C
Hold up. Look at that boom.
B
Look at that rock.
C
Look at that nugget on top of that. 23.
B
Oh.
A
What?
B
Yeah, your arm. Stop, Joe. Now you want to talk about me? That's a blatant outright. Just lie, Joe. 23.
C
No, no, no, no. I'm talking about the tattoo on it. Okay.
B
I thought you were trying to say you were sitting on 20 the round.
C
No, Debo. No, no, no, no.
B
Okay, okay. Was that a tattoo you earned or were you sleep when you got that, too?
C
Earned it.
B
Wide awake. Wide awake.
C
All of that.
B
Only one.
C
I told you.
B
Well, like I said, we gonna see come 8 o' clock when the Knicks go ahead and put. They go ahead and put their hands on them.
C
You don't believe that. You just trying to go Knicks and then you want to go whoever's on the West. You just want somebody to beat the Cavs. You got three dogs in the race, and that's unfair.
B
No, it's not.
C
It's all good.
B
No, it's not. No, it's not, Joe. It's what needs to happen. Because you had to say that I would be bad luck if I was gonna root for the cash. I was gonna actually root for the cast. I was. I was contemplating it. I was in. I was in a strong fight to try and make sure I rooted for the cast. But then you go tell me and you know they ain't got a shot in hell if they make it past the nets of winning the NBA championship.
C
You lost your mind.
B
Oh, you say they got a shot?
C
His dog's in the fight. Once we get in the fight, you can't tell me nothing. We gotta get. We gotta get there. It's gonna be.
B
You ever seen the pit bull fight at Chihuahua?
C
I'm not talking ahead. We're not talking ahead. First we gotta handle the Knicks. First we gotta handle the Knicks. Mobley, our big men. What do you don't even see? You don't even know they got they.
B
Y' all big men.
C
Paul Anthony T. Mobley gotta play big the same way we did versus Detroit, Game seven.
B
Okay, Joe, I'm saying, hey, they make it to the finals, do you really want to see that? Do you really Want to see old Wimby over there?
C
Thousand percent. I'm. I'm going.
B
Okay.
C
I'm going. I will be there in the land.
B
All right. I'm gonna go ahead and bounce pass, man. Aaron Rodgers took part in the Steelers first ota.
C
Yes.
B
Officially signing his contract. Hey.
C
Okay.
B
Rogers never they said in the article. They said Rogers never cleaned out his locker from the 2025 season. So you know, the feeling was he, he never left, baby. Roger was back on the field for OTAS this well yeah. Yesterday, Monday, and is ready to get to work with his old coach, Mike McCarthy.
C
Yes.
B
13 years in green Bay, baby. Look here. That boy, Alex Highsman. He said, he said, he said it's awesome having him back. He said he's a, he's a mysterious guy, not much into social media. That's just who he is. He's a great dude, though. Joe. That's funny. Alex funny dude, but he real Alex funny, but he real dude.
C
Real man.
B
Real. Like I will say this, like with all the reports of like Aaron Rodgers and like Amazon Health AI presents Painful

in. You know, like a difficult personality to deal with and you know I haven't heard like anything from anybody in the Steelers organization front office to players that said they've had any issues like that and from what little interactions I've had with him, dude, he's a good dude. Dude, he's just going to do what it is he want to do on his timings, you know, so I've heard nothing but positive, you know, experiences that guys have had with him, you go, and like you said, the new receiver, Michael Pittman Jr. Said that he had a couple of great throws, and I was like, wow, I'm really playing with Aaron. It's great. I get to play with another hall of Famer. He's alluding to him having the opportunity over there to play with Philip Rivers with the Coats. So I think a lot of people don't understand, like, with Aaron coming back is the, the, the factors that come with that. People like him that realize, like, along with Aaron Rodgers, they're like, oh, man, it's respect, it's admiration. It's players that are like, you know what? It's an automatic buy into him. The system, it boosts it, you know, it boosts the morale, the confidence of the players, you know. And when you had that, bro, that helps your team out. So with Aaron being back, you hearing him like, yo, like, he can, he can. He can get that ball to where I, you know, to where I need that ball to get to. It's no, it's no issues, and I know I can go get it. I already got the skill. Now I got somebody that could get it to me whenever I want to stop playing. Pittman also said Pittman says Pittman Jr. Sees versatile receivers thriving in Mike McCarthy, Mike McCarthy stillers offense. Pittman said after practice about getting in, about getting in work early, getting, Getting early work in with Rogers. He said, we've. You've just got to get to know certain quarterbacks, like what they don't, like what they're thinking of what they're thinking. And all the time and all that is going to take time. So we're just gonna, we're just getting to know him better and listening to the things he says to us. We're going to get as many reps as possible. Yeah, dude, like, yes.
C
This is all I'm saying. I'm rocking because I just think it's buy in. Like you said, everybody wants. When you got, you know where Aaron Rodgers is, you know what he's going to be. I think him showing up to OTAS is just a good thing for everybody, for the camaraderie, for the team, for getting the reps in with the wide receivers. I know it's not going to take a rod too long to understand the playbook, but it's not about him. It's about when you get that team and you starting to get that team building. That's all where it starts. It starts in OTAs. You know what I'm saying? If he were to come and try training camp. I know he's going to be able to jump on that train because he's a rod. He's going to know the playbook and all this stuff. But the more and more time, the more and more reps, what Michael Pittman is saying, how he likes things to be ran, it's just timing, it's trust and you can build that the more that you're in the building. These are optional OTAs, so they're just learning things. But if a rod is going to be the quarterback like he is, he's signed now, I would love for him to be here now, then later because all of this is nothing but reps, nothing but timing, nothing but building, nothing but camaraderie. So this is what you need to develop in that football team. Like you said, you don't really know dudes when like instant Liso is routes, his concepts, is where does he like to be, how does he like the ball, the quarterback. Now when you have a, a rod on your team and this is the thing, he has to be what he, he doesn't need to. He's going to make those miraculous throws, he's going to do all of that. But at the same time, everybody else on the team, when we've been doing a great job of just getting great players, getting more players that are going to be able to be getting grown men, Getting Michael Pittman Jr. Getting, getting Rico Doddle, getting, you know what I'm saying? Having DK Metcalf coming back after last year, maybe not his best, but he believes he's still the number one. He thinks he could do it. So it's just having him in there with the team growing, building I think is just amazing for the squad. So yeah, I'm all in for it.
B
Well, speaking of dk, Pittman said, he said DK has been great. So I think me and him are going to do well. Obviously you are going to have teams to double him, then that's going to leave me free. And if they're going to double and if the teams are going to double me, then it's going to leave him free. It's going to be great. And when you. And when you've got Bernard and Wilson too, so we're not short handed on pass catchers. Listen, Jeremy, Jeremy Bernard, yeah, he can be the equalizer. Like if he is able to go out there and play to the capabilities that we feel like he's able to play. When they go and double these guys, even if they do a double, the Stars and they double both of them. He's going to be the equalizer. All you got to do is look at what Steve Smith said about him at the draft and how he felt like this was his favorite fit, like his favorite receiver in the fit of how the draft came through and what you needed as far as the position. And he said Jeremy Bernard, he basically, he brings like everything that we needed. We need to have that slot. Like we got to have a person that's. That's polished. And when he says polished, he means like somebody that's a good route runner and you have an understanding of how to uncover. It's not like he's crazy explosive fast, but he uses leverage and spacing to make sure he can. He can create space that he can get open so that they can get the ball to him. Along with that, he's a yak monster. Okay. He is going to get yards after the catch because he is a big body guy that can still move like one of the slot receivers with the quick movement of a smaller slot. But he's a big dude, you know.
C
Yeah, I think with Aaron Rodgers too, like you need. Pat Firemove is going to ball with Aaron Rodgers.
B
He's.
C
Because he knows that's those, those middle, those tight ends, those areas when they trying to double on the outside. I like we have. If we have this like you're saying the three receiver in the slot. We're not. I'm not. I'm understanding where he likes to work the middle of the field. We need those possession receivers and when we have our tight ends where Mount Washington fire move and new receiver that we just got from Bama Bernard.
B
That's Jeremy. That's Jeremy Bernard. Yeah, that's Bernard.
C
That's what I'm saying. So all three of those dudes work in the middle. And now we got on the outside, DK and Pittman. I. I'm not seeing where you're going to be able to double team because if you do, there's too many options where a rock will be able to get the ball out. And then with the run game, we're going to have to. We don't have to all start out coming out wide. This is all established by the run. We got to still be able to hold the line, be able to make sure that these are short, short third downs, short second downs. We're not coming out second and nine, second and 10 every time where we're very predictable. So with all of that being said, it's still offensive line, running backs, receivers Everybody working together in one. It's going to be a team. There's going to be team victories.
B
Yes.
C
You know what I'm saying? Everybody got to work together.
B
Yeah. And like I said, Aaron, like you said, rather with Aaron being there early. You're building that now where before we didn't have a chance to build that because it was so late that he came in. It wasn't built. And they said that Rogers could be seen correcting players like second year running back Caleb Johnson right after plays and throwing passes around the field to several targets like Metcalf, Pittman, Bernard Roman Wilson, Pat Friarmouth and Darnell Washington. Now, right now, see, so, like, this is what they're saying, though. It's a great thing. You know, Aaron is back. He's correcting players. You know, it's this, that, and the third. You know, the reports are, oh, he's correcting players. And so everyone, you know, can get on the same PA and this what we need to do. And it's great. And I want everybody to, to listen to this correction because later in the season, if things aren't going well, it's a couple bad plays and. And he's correcting somebody which all say is he's just yelling at guys. He's doing this, he's doing that. No, no, no, no. He's not. He's not. He's not yelling, he's correcting guys. Yeah.
C
So you trying to get on the side.
B
All you reporters that's talking right now, I want y' all to keep whatever energy it is you got right now, starting with right now, keep that same energy in the finish. Okay? So if you hating right now, keep hating. Hate all the way through. Don't switch up, don't switch up. Like, don't do that when they kill your narrative.
C
Yep.
B
Don't do that. That's all I'm asking.
C
The thing I'm liking too is we're going to. It's going to be about ball. So when we're out there and our offense is out there playing, if Aaron Rodgers isn't putting in the ball where it needs to be, if he's not throwing the passes that need to be thrown, we're going to keep everybody accountable for they're doing. If DK is wide open and you dropping passes, we're going to call out a spade, a spade. If you're catching passes, if you're doing what you got to do. That's what I love about football, Debo. It's X's and O's. We're not just going to be calling people out for no reason. We're going to be watching, looking, seeing what's going on. And that's how I think too. When our defense knows about what they need to improve on, they know when we're saying things, we're not picking on people. We don't want to be up here talking bad about you guys. But if we're looking and we're seeing people running free and things are running open, you guys know that that's a. What is that? Communication. Something's going on because that should not be happening out there. So I think them acknowledging what's going on too. They know what they gotta do. So the games have to be played. The players that we got, Sean Dean, we re signed Asante Samuel Jr. Joey Porter Jr. You know what I'm saying? Jalen, we've got the safety from Chicago secondary looking sweet now, right now they're working on getting communication together. So if everybody. Body on the body, man on the man. If he makes a play on you, that's somebody making a play on you. All right, we need to like get the ball out, line up next play. People running scot free. There's no excuse, you know what I'm saying? So the no excuse plays, eliminate those and then we'll talk about, we can work on the ones where man, you were right there in position. Ah, they're getting paid the big bucks too. That was a good pass, you know what I'm saying?
B
I mean, like you said, what we got to be able to run the ball effectively. And with that being said, like, you know, Roderick Drones, he was at OTAs. But the Steelers remain uncertain. So Amazon Health AI presents painful thoughts.

Oh. Jones was in uniform for the first practice at LTA's this season just months after undergoing the surgery to repair his neck prematurely from the 2025 season. Wow. He was in formation for with the rest of the Steelers during the warm ups and at the start of practice. He did not participate in the team portion of practice and was open that way.
C
He didn't participate in the team for
B
the practice that was open to the media. Anyway. This right here is. I mean, I don't think this is something that's surprising us. It's just, you know, it's part of what we thought was gonna happen. When you look at it, they ended up moving Troy, what's his name? Fontuna? Yeah, they ended up moving him to the left tackle from the right tackle. So that was just. Yeah, just yesterday at the, you know, first OTA practice while he, you know, Troy said that the move wasn't necessarily permanent. You know, he said being. How did he say it? He said being ready for whatever happens, obviously, when bribed. He's talking about Roderick and the whole situation. I don't know what's going to happen, but like I said, if they asked me to play left, I'm going to play left. I think what we saw on Monday, anybody that actually paid any attention to, you know, what was going on at the OTAs with basically the whole, you know, right side moving to the left. You had McCormick, he, he went from the, the guard on the right to the left. You had Troy, he went from the right to the left. And right now that's going to be our best position for the guys that we currently have on our roster. You look at it, it was Anderson, he's now, I believe, at the right guard. And that's going to be the best position for him considering his abilities and the guys that we have there that we feel like can flip and still be more effective over there than the, you know, the opposite player could be on the right side. Okay, look at it. Anderson is a dude that, you know, he's better when he's in a phone booth, you know, confined space. So you put him at the guard, it's a lot easier to change from the guard. And then you go ahead and you put Cook, you put him at the right tackle, six, six, six, seven, something like that. So he got the reach, you know, he can, he, you know, he can move. But the, the issue with him is sometimes his anchor could be light. So, you know, that's, that's, that's not good. And issues with, you know, consistency. But that's why I would rather put him as far as what I have right now, right tackle, because, okay, it at least gives my quarterback an opportunity to see. Right, to see what's coming.
C
Okay.
B
You know what I'm saying? So if he can see what's coming now, he can potentially get out of the way of what's going on. And until we find out what, you know, our first rounder is going to, you know, look like through the OTAS minicamp and basically training camp and we get the pads on and you know, when it really counts and see, you know, how he's going to do and with, what is it? You got tj, you got Highsmith, you got Herbic, we using them and that's his practice. So you're going to get a real good assessment of what it is, is that he can do and can't do. So that's, you know, the Project Jones situation is, is something that I'm hoping he does the right thing. As far as his health, to be honest with you, I mean, you didn't get your option, but when it comes down to it, man, it's a, it's about your health and the longevity of your career. And unless you're healthy and able to, you know, do what's necessary, it's going to be hard to get it, to get another spot. So to get another, you know, position. And you're going to have to at least prove that you're, you're 100% healthy to be able to do it. And if that's not this year or that's late, late in the year or whatever that may be and you are fully, you know, ir, then you have to come back the next year and probably do a prove it deal.
C
Yeah, facts. Like you said, health is the main thing with him. I was kind of. He's trying to, going through the process, you know what I'm saying? Trying to be out there as much as you can. But the schedule is the schedule. When you can get out there and start hitting, we won't know until it happens. So I hope he gets clear. I know he's doing all the proper steps, all the proper protocol, but with the line, what you think about the rook, Max, you think he Gonna be, you think if he proves himself. Obviously the sooner the better.
B
That's the rookie I'm talking about. That's in honcho.
C
Okay. Yes. Okay, Max.
B
In honcho. Yeah. That's the first rounder.
C
Yes.
B
Yeah, yeah. That's who I'm talking about. Like in honcho. In hanasure. In hanasso.
C
In Hanasure.
A
Yeah.
B
Ehana shore. E hana sure. That's it. E hana shore. Maxi Hana sure. That's the one I'm talking about. That's our first round pick. I was talking about like until we see what it is that he can do. And I don't think we'll see that. I think they got him running with the threes right now.
C
God, to be more careful.
B
No, it's just, you know, you know,
C
the development of it. Development.
B
We knew going into that. I mean, so with what, you know, what we have in place until we actually get to see him in, you know, full pass going against right now
C
going into the season. Debo, who's our left.
B
I think our left tackle right now.
C
Our left tackle right now.
B
Troy.
C
Troy. Okay. Right.
B
Hell yeah. What's his name? Oh my good. Cook.
C
Cook. Okay.
B
Yeah. That's our right and left tackle. Our guards inside center. Where he at? That's it. What you saying? Like that's why you do it now so they can get used to it, you know, And I mean with all just how everything's lined up, this is what it's looking like. It's not looking like we're going to have Broderick back.
C
No, definitely not.
B
So especially with no timeline given and all that, like you can't sit there and wait and hope you got to play as if we won't have him. And this is what I'm looking at. And like I said, until we could. Until we see what Max E. Hanasure can do. The process of OTAs and it won't be until after training camp. I believe if he goes out there and he does his thing and he balls and he does good in. In the preseason games that he could step up and, and, and potentially get one of those tackle positions for sure.
C
Because right now, like you said, Debo, it's all underwear Olympics. You gotta learn the playbook, do all that stuff. You start putting them pads on training camp, then one on ones. That's when you really blocking them dudes, that interior stuff, when you really putting the pads on, really putting the body on the body, like making plays really happen. So I feel you no need to start them nowhere near the second or second or first team getting them in the third. Learn the playbook. Cause we got time. Otas we got time. Don't make no mas. The least amount of mas, the quicker you're going to be able to slide up. You can't. You running the same plays. So if you running the same plays good and doing your assignment. Boop. Second team. Okay, now you put some pads on. You blocking good. First of all, who you going against now you going level up.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Alex Highsmith, man. He pinpoints two things that the Steelers that can help the Steelers take a leap and the top things. The top thing, really they're talking about is communication in detail. Like, so he's saying that you see times when you aren't as. When you aren't a good defense. Last year is when we're communicating, when we aren't communicating the way we should. So, like, it goes back to what we were saying last year, man, that like. Like, we talked about it, like, every time that we were in there, anytime we talked at the game, like, dude, like, you have to communicate, like, and the communication starts with the coaches. You have to be coached as a defense, to play the unit as one. Everybody on that defense, no matter what your position is, you have to know what you're doing, and you have to be on the same page. So that's starting with alignment, your assignment, and then the technique that you're going to use to get the job done. We know that technique wasn't being teached properly because too many guys were doing the wrong thing all the time. Like, we know that, and we sat in the box and heard some technique stuff that was being taught from someone. But we won't say, and we know that things were not being taught in the proper manner. Now you add that along with every position, not getting the same information for the same defense, being told something a little different on a defense where it should be exactly the same. Like, we're not. We're not getting. Like you said, the communication is not there. So if you have the communication, you have the technique, you have the alignment, you have the assignment, you take the guesswork out of it. So once the play starts, each person knows what's going on, and then you do your job. And in the course of doing your job, if you have no threat in your area or what your job is. Now, through the process of knowing the defense, you're able to be like, you know what? I can move this way or that way to help my teammate, to better help him be able to cover the area that he has. And in doing so, you make the defense better, you help him make his job easier. And you don't sit there and cover dead space where nothing is at.
C
Yes, the communication and talking is not fake talking. There's not just chatter. You're not just talking out there to be talking when we're saying, you're speaking the same language we're always in. When you know your defense, you're anticipating what's going to happen. You're altering if this person moves, if there's a person that looks like they can go in motion, if this person moves, this is what we're going to not soon as this person moves. Now everybody's looking around, frantic, worrying about what's going on. It has to be a flow of everybody knows what's going on. There's a comfortability. I'm looking at Minka, Minka's looking at me. If he moves, we're going to this. Linebackers know if they go to this, we're moving zone it. You're alerting checks to the people that are supposed to know what's going on. So the words that are flying out is like music to everybody's ears because you're just alerting what's going to happen. Everybody's prepared for things, and everybody is ready and aligned and assigned. And so when you say alignment, assignment, technique, it sounds so basic, like basic football. But when Everybody knows they're 1/11 and everybody is flowing at the same accord, everybody knows. When we talk about when Big Hamp came on and I was so sorry to miss it, but like he did his 1/11, he knew that his job sometimes was not for him to make the play. So stats don't speak on it. Everybody trying to go make a tackle, that's not your play. That's how your defense gets messed up. One single player being selfish on a play could bust the whole defense up and have a hole on a run that's 12 yards and make everybody look crazy. There's one person that's being selfish. That's not your play. You hold that gap. You trying to go backside, you know what I'm saying? So the communication, the alignment, the assignment, the technique, the discipline, when you got to know that, you have to understand that you can't first do your job. You have one job to do out there, and that's hold this gap. If they come in that gap, the play should not be made. The next person, he has one job, he's on the outside, leverage. The ball's not coming out there. If it comes his way. I'm going to make this play. So just having everybody understanding what they're doing, understanding that this person's motions. Now I'm working with this man. We're doing in and out. We're doing in and out. We got a check going on. Not people just looking around. Crazy. That's why when you say it took a while for young players to get in to Dick LeBeau's defense, because you're not talking the same language as the vets that are out there, know exactly where they're supposed to be. Get them out of here. Get him out of here. Because you're not. You're gonna make me look bad. You gonna make him look bad. It's 10 dudes out here flowing and one dude looking around doesn't know the chat is an alert for the motion. He just knows. Okay, we got fire zone. Okay, I'm looking around. He's panicking just about his assignment. No, you gotta know what your man's doing because we're working together. We're working together now. Now you. Oh, no, no. I want to lock. No, you can't lock. You can't go, man. You have to work this together because this works in the defense. Now we blocking you. Now we don't.

Bust up the whole defense and now we do gonna let you lock because you didn't know. No, no, no. We need to get you out. I mean, to get somebody else in that knows the flow. So he's gonna be in position. There's never gonna be somebody running wide open. He's gonna get beat because that person just beat him on that play. He wasn't. He was better than him. He outplayed him. It's like, okay, bet got him on the ground. We like this. I can live with that any day. Not somebody looking around. Crazy. And now me and you are standing on the tight end and the running back is running free. And now I'm looking like this. You got me out here with you, and you didn't know what we were supposed to do. We said in and out and you don't know what in n out is. Coach, get him out of here. You got me looking crazy. Everybody looking crazy. Ten people know where they supposed to be. And this dude, me and him standing next to each other, they're like, joe, what happened? The dummy didn't know.

Rounds, The Sean Watson vs Shador Sanders timeline gets clearer. OTA started on Tuesday and we come in and we'll come in on three day chunks over the next three weeks. The final OTA is four days, and that's where the battle would be won. They said the Browns first mandatory minicamp is scheduled for June 9 through 11, and we can expect Monkin to have his pick by then, at least. His training camp pick. He's saying. This is. What's his name? ESPN's, I believe, Tony Grossi said. He said. I think it is still a little bit early. I think by time we get into minicamp In June, we'll have a good idea of who's 1, 2, 3 and 4 are or at least heading into training camp. I wouldn't expect that on Tuesday or Wednesday, but it's coming. It's coming. They've been out there working. And he said he wants to have an idea of who his number one is by training camp, and I'm sure he will abide by that. End of comment. That is what Tony Grossi said. Also, it looks like your boy, Jeremy.
C
Yeah, Fowler.
B
Fowler reports Deshaun Watson has hit it off with Todd Monkin ahead of the Browns ota. Perhaps more notable is Fowler's report that Monkin's office of concept are things Watson has run in the past and has, has has been his best at. So your boy over there, Fowler, he said, I'm told, quote, I'm told he hit it off with Todd Monkin, who's got an offensive concept, some elements that Watson has run in the past and been at his best at, end quote. Joe, it's looking like Watson may already be slated in Monkin's mind as the starter. And then you add that alone with old Albert. Brie Beer, what's your name? Yeah, yeah, Brer. You had that with him where he said, quote, I think Shador Sanders will be better off. Let me get this right. If his father, Dion, he said Dion leaves well enough alone and allow his son to set up his own path with a new coaching staff. He's saying that on the things, end quote. He's, he's saying that in comparison and response to Dion saying, you know, talks, talk to him, you know, call him, you know, let him explain how his son works, all that other stuff. So what I'm trying to figure out is why everybody know, everybody know who should do it, that is. But you said Dion, he said it like that. Like, you know, these insiders, sometimes they know something and sometimes they don't know something, but they got, you know, they usually have some type of information with front office people and on how to, you know, the people upstairs may feel about certain things or who knows, I don't know. But my thing is this, usually they have some type of information from upstairs and whether it's on the record or off the record, they use that to build their opinion on what they feel like should be done or shouldn't be done and how people should work or respond. Like, I don't know, like, what do you think this recent report or development is going to mean for your Browns, Joe?
C
Everybody's always going to make noise about our quarterback, this situation. Okay? Everybody is. I, I don't want anything bad with Deshaun Watson. I don't. I hope Deshaun Watson comes out, balls out and goes out and wins us games, wins us the. Hopefully he can even go out there, ball out, win the Super Bowl. That'd be great. That'd be great. Desean right now, because I don't ever want to come off like I'm trying to root against him. There's $46 million that he's owed. He's going to get paid this year. He hasn't done anything wrong. He's been rehabbing, staying out of the way, trying to do everything that he can. Todd Monkin, new coach, comes in, we got Shador, we got. You got Desean Watson. He's making $46 million a year. You've seen him be a player that signed for $232 million. He's doing all the right things. He's in the facility. He's staying out of the way in practice. He's listening to coach. He's been in this system before. He's thrived in the system before. So obviously, if you have him on your team and you're the new coach, you want him to be successful during all of this time. They're not saying anything bad about Shador. But if you're the. If you're a Shador fan and you want him to be in and you thinking it's time to move on from Deshaun Watson, then you're in the mindset, put your man back in. I can understand now where it's. You don't want to have to knock desean to try to bump Shador. I don't want to have to bump Shador to try to pump the other person. So it's difficult. So when you see coach putting up good things about somebody else, everybody that's a Shador fan is instantly going to think that's hate on Shador. No, when you're listening to it, I want Deshaun Watson to do well. If he's doing well, he's proceeding in the system. Okay, let's go. Let's. Hopefully it does well, but right now, same time, Deebo, this is all in shorts. We don't have any pads on. There hasn't been any preseason games. Last time I saw desean Watson, he was moving a little bit slower. His athletic ability looks a little slower to me. So with, with not. With not pads on, everybody in practice can look a little bit better than when you are in the real game, when them live bullets start flying, that's when real things start happening. So I'm not knocking. I'm just saying I want the best. But we want. We gotta see it still. So in all hopes of he looking good right now, he's doing all of the right things, 1000%. Let's go, D'. Sean still. Shador is still there doing the same things, too. All I've heard is he's trying to be in the meeting rooms. He's in there early. He's thriving. He hasn't been doing anything wrong. The reps, you can't decide. You got a new coach that has a 46 quarterback making 46 million, and he has you on the rookie deal. He can split the reps. You know what I'm saying? He wants to see what's going on. He came in with that deal, so he might have a leg up in that fashion. The owners, they might want to see what we got with the last one we still got. Should do it for the next. For two more years, at least under contract. So I don't ever want to. I'm not trying to knock him, but that's kind of the way that I see it. And when people are always trying to. The media that doesn't like Shador to make him even matter or make his family matter, they just start talking up Deshaun Watson. And that doesn't mean that they're talking bad about Shador. But if you really, like. If you really love Shador, you hear people talking like, oh, Shadow looking so good. They're like, man, but y'. All. Why y' all not saying nothing about. I'm like, because. Not talking about him right now. They're talking about Desean. They're talking about his process, what he got going on. But since he's been the last starting quarterback, they like, oh, y' all just stealing my man's spot, giving it to good old Deshawn. You know what I'm saying? Like, he didn't. How did he steal it from him? It's OTAs. Like, y' all don't have no pads on. Y' all aren't even going against defenses. How much better is his arm really looking? They're throwing routes on air. I hear you. Like, is it that you just get your spot rough like that? So I'm like, I never want to come on and not. Cause I'm like, deshaun, I want you to look good. I know you're studying, you're doing your thing. They didn't Even bring up Shador in the conversation there. But the Shador fans that want him to start and want him to play will instantly be like, that's crazy. Hold on, what about Shador? What does he do? I'm like, no, no, no, don't feel bad. Like they're bringing up the other guy. DeSean Watson, you have two quarterbacks. If we feel like Shador is better, I do think that the long run is going to be him. But I can still see in the same way, in the fashion I do want desean to succeed, I'm not trying to knock another man. So because I want Shador succeed, I hope all is well for you. If you do end up getting that starting job because you had that 236, let's go ball out. Like, don't want you to be bad, but if it does fail, Shador, look, now you got the reigns. Now you got the same team. You got the Concepcion, you got the line, you got the players. So Watson's going to get this best shot with the team, with the offense, with the players around them to perform. And at the same time, Shador is getting that love from Todd Monkin. Todd Monkin hasn't spoken down on Shador. He's always said, man, I wanted to draft you back in the day, whoop. Just praising him about just being in the building, how he's been working. So I'm still open minded. They still haven't put on shoulder pads and helmet, you know what I'm saying? So there's still time to go. Both of them, I think are going to get the opportunity obviously to play. It's who's going to play first, I think is now they're leaning towards the media and maybe what they got coaches are saying right now is Deshaun Watson. But I still know there's time. And if desean does get out, I want him to succeed. But that's probably the reason why everybody's looking for him to get out there.
