I'm your host, James Debo Harrison and I'm here with my co host Joe Hayden. Please make sure you like subscribe and download where you get your podcast. How you doing today, Joe?
C
I am doing great, brother. Debo. Free agency live in effect. A lot of people, a lot of action. Things are happening as we speak right now, this very moment. So I'm loving this part of the off season where you see what your team is talking about, what they trying to do, who trying to make moves. Are they good moves or bad moves? So I'm, I'm, I'm excited.
B
Oh yeah, definitely, definitely do it. So what we go do is we go. We miss. We miss our. We missed the. What do you call it? The chat. Yeah, we missed the super chats yesterday. So we're gonna, we're gonna do them at the top. We're gonna do yesterday's at the top. At the end, we're gonna do those at the top, then we'll get to whatever else is in the lineup.
A
Okay?
B
But right now we go, we're gonna get into the Steelers. Man, why is they still talking about we must get a quarterback to, you know, like, it's not. It's not happening in this draft, Joe. What. What do you think? What do you think possibilities of anything happening? I got a whole. I got a whole set of what I think is going on, dude.
C
This is what I'm saying. When people start the panicking, they're like, oh, no. Just because people are making moves with Max Crosby, we gotta go and make a pick the quarterback Steelers are. I'm like, look, calm down, calm down. Everybody relax. Since people are making moves, you don't want to make a bad move if you do think. At the end of the day, I feel a lot of the Steelers that they think Malik Willis is the guy. They don't need no Will Howard. I can respect that. I can respect that thought. You know what I'm saying? But at the same time, there's no rush. We don't have to rush into these things. We still got. Like we said, I believe in still thinking that we can give Will Howard a chance. Malik Willis is a probably a more valuable option. He's showing what he can do in the league. He has valuable reps. He's won games with Green Bay, so I can see where they're coming from. But is that who Mike McCarthy likes? Does Mike McCarthy like Will? Does he not want to put that money there and be able to go do some other moves? How does he plan it so you don't want us to panic when you start seeing things happen around the league and like, oh, my gosh, what are we doing? Are we just standing? No, no, no, no. Sometimes it's not the smartest move for them to make the quickest one, you know what I'm saying? So I'm not in a panic state. I still like Will. I understand Malik. If people don't like him, I'm not against it at all. He hasn't proven anything. He was a drafted pick. They put Mason in front of him like last year when. Why didn't they put them in? I can hear what everybody's saying, but for me, I'm rocking with Mike McCarthy. I'm rocking with Omar Khan. I'm letting them take their time and not just rush and make rash moves that they don't believe in. You know what I'm saying? So I can see with teams making moves, whatever. It's early in free agency. You want to make a pop. You want your team to be going across the ticker like, oh, yeah, we did this. Okay, you could do that. And it could Be bad. And then next, you know, time will tell. So it's still early. Still early in free agency. We still got time. We can still make moves. I just don't. I can see when some people want Malik and they will start panicking, like, oh, yeah, let's go here and do this. But I'm in the. I'm in the mind frame where don't rush. We still do. God will. Even though other people don't believe in it. I know we have money that we have other places that we need to do. We just released John New, so we're opening up Bread, so we got things that we can do. So I'm still chilling. I would like our team to go across the ticket too. I want to see the Steelers getting a linebacker, you know what I'm saying? I see we just signed Asante Samuel Jr. On the opposite side. Small one year, 4 million. I like the way he played. He gets another year in the defense to be able to get comfortable. You know what I'm saying? Coming in mid season, you know, feet still. He still couldn't get comfortable. Now he got a complete off season. He's on a prove it deal. You know how those. How those work. Saying, getting comfortable. Now he knows. He's trying to go get that bag. So I'm liking that. Little things like that is smooth under the radar, but we're just trying to get what we need. Don't rush and go do something and be like, oh, yeah, look who we got. We got this big name. It doesn't matter. There's a lot of. There's a lot of names out there that dudes aren't just like, oh, yeah, this dude that have the prove it deals. That might not be the num. The dude that you know, but there's hoop ballers out there that. You know what I'm saying? You could pick that one. Like, little stuff like that. So that's why I'm at.
B
Yeah, they need to. They. They need to stop panicking, man, because we are not. We are not drafting the quarterback. We are not picking up a quarterback in free agency. Yes, it's definitely something that we need to address, depending how things look. Like you said, Willis, I. It's not gonna happen. There's too many people after him. The money. He go command, it's gonna be out of control. And another reason is he's not signed yet. And I think it's a lot of people right now that's sitting back and they like, well, I ain't trying to give him the Bag, bag for this small sample of work, you know what I'm saying? So ain't nobody really jumping the gun to go and be like, yo, here, here it goes. And we already talked about the draft. There's nothing there. So that's out. It's just not even happening there. And right now, the big thing for me is, like you said, what can Will Howard do? He is a national champion. We haven't given him a chance to either prove or disprove he can or can't do it. And as you said with Mike McCarthy, he likes will Howard. Dude, he said himself, he was like, I really. I'm really excited about Will. He said. He said, I'm really excited about Will Howard. He said, I'm anxious to get to work with him. And he said he loves the way he plays the game. And when he said that, he was talking, he was pointing to how Will played his best ball in the college playoffs. So with him saying that about Will, he's definitely going to give him a chance. And this year, it's going to be the end of speculations of can he do it.
C
And the good part was last year, he was on the bench. He was able to stay behind.
B
He was hurt, too.
C
You don't have to.
B
That's why he didn't get a chance.
C
You don't have to rush nobody into it. Him being able to get the flow, be able to not have to play his rookie season, he's still the same dude, like, with a. With a year under his belt now, getting more comfortable. So I would love to see him with a chance because he's a big body and he's done it before.
B
Yeah, yeah. And that's something else. He's fully healthy now. He fractured. I think he fractured his hand last year, and I believe that was what really, you know, kept him out of the flow of being able to, you know, fight for a spot. And another thing is we're waiting on Roger Stu. Like, we're waiting on his decision. He hasn't gave a hundred percent answer one way or the other, dude. And when you do that, it's like, okay, we ain't making no moves because we're okay with where we at. So that makes. That makes me believe that the Steelers, they're at a point where it's like, okay, we're content where we're at right now. We're going to give Will Howard a chance, and we believe that the option rolls around and say it's not working out or it's not looking like it's going to work out that Rogers will still be there because from his talking, a lot of people believe it's. It's Pittsburgh or nowhere.
C
Yeah. Yes.
B
Right. And it's not like it's a bunch of other teams out there that's, that's looking to, you know, grab him right now anyway. Yeah. So we, we still have that option. Our next thing is like everybody's saying right down here in chat is like a receiver.
C
Yes.
B
Like we're looking at the receiver position. And when you look at it, you know, they were talking about the possibility of the best guys around available. And it was two guys that I liked that was in that, in that, in that talk. And I think it was Alec Pierce. That was one.
C
Yes.
B
And the other one was Wandell Robinson. And the reason I like, I like Pierce is I think we can get him for a good price. Like he has a little issue with like separation, you know, just at the line getting off, you know, bump coverage. His routes aren't really as sharp as they would like to be. But dude, you run a four, four one. Yeah, you might as well say that's a four, three game speed boy. Six three, almost 215 and not. He got 47 catches last year and still had over a thousand yards. Joe.
C
Yes.
B
That's 21 and some change. That's real life. Deep threat, 40, 40 inch vertical. 40 plus inch vertical. Dude. Ball skills is nice. He, he's a high point catcher. He's going up to get the ball. He tracks the ball well. He's coming down with the 50, 50 almost 70, 80% of the time. And, and Joe, he can block the boy like to get physical.
C
See, I like Alec Pierce. I like him. When they were talking about the trade for Michael Pittman Jr. I was like there. I like Alec Pierce just a little more and he's gonna be a free agent. So that one. A thousand percent you said. I like Wandell Robinson too. As a possession receiver can get open just. You know what I'm saying? That's. That's a guarantee. We need that. But I'm also a fan of Romeo Dobbs. Romeo Dobbs is a get it done dude. He does all of the dirty work. He blocks, he catches. He doesn't make a lot of noise, but he goes out there and gets it done. So I think he's one that we could be able to get for the low too at prove it. Deals still going out there grinding. He's a great receiver that.
B
He's a little older too though.
C
He's A little older, but I just. He's still getting it done route running. And it's for the. And it's not going to be as expensive as some of these other dudes. So. I like Romeo Dobbs. I like Wanda Robinson for sure slot and Alec Pierce or any of those three. Will be a. Will be a. Will be a nice add to the. To the roster.
B
Yeah, definitely. Wondell Robinson. That's a. That's. That's a yakum scene. I think he only like 5 7, 5 8, something like that. But hey, he almost heavy as you. Well, I don't know how much you weigh no more, Joe. He185, you know what I'm saying?
C
That's man. Yeah, we. Same way we saying weight.
B
Like I said, he affected me. Like you said, the short route, he got that. He got that quick in and out. He gonna hit you on them whips and them options. That quick sway, dangerous once he get it in his hands.
C
Yes. Like we had. What's my man? Like we had the receiver that came to us last year from Minnesota. Thielen.
B
Okay. Yeah.
C
Yes. Young Thielen. Get it done. Third down possession, receiver.
B
Yeah. And listen something else. I want these people to get out of their head. What? We ain't trading TJ Wap. He ain't going nowhere, man. He ain't going nowhere.
C
No.
B
Like y', all, y'. All.
C
It's not the way they do business.
B
That ain't the way they do business. It's not. It's not going to happen. But you know me, Joe. I like to. I like to, you know, ask questions and give. Give speculations, you know? With that being said again, TJ White ain't going nowhere. That's just media, endless speculation. It ain't happening, man. Just signed.
C
What?
B
Three year deal. 123 million, 108 guaranteed just last July.
C
Yes.
B
Okay. We got $50 million in cash space, so we ain't got no money issues. I know his numbers down. All that other stuff that don't count because you're not looking at the stats that don't have numbers to them that he adds to, which allows other people
C
to be able to do what they do.
B
Like I said, Joe.
C
And he's out because he got punctured lung. Punctured lung from the in house. He didn't do. So he just keeping it cool like, you know what I'm saying? So now let him heal from that when he's on the field. Numbers, everything. He just was out because he had a punctured Lung. It's not his bad. Let him get right.
B
Okay, so not. Not Joe.
C
Yes.
B
Now they came to you and they said, hey, we won't tj. We go give you two first. What you gonna do?

Usually on this podcast, We'll Kill youl, we talk about the diseases, infections and biological threats that can make us really sick. But right now we're doing something a little different. We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going. When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out. We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does, why our bodies don't follow neat rules, and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by. The second half of our series takes us to the digestive system with a multi part series on what happens after we eat. Okay, I just have to say that all of my favorite words apparently are digestive words. Sphincter, peristalsis, duodenum. It's fascinating, it's funny, and it matters so much more than you think. Episodes of our new series run from January 20 through February 17, with new episodes every Tuesday. Tuesday on the Exactly Right Network. Listen to this podcast will kill you as part of the Exactly Right Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
B
Hey, now listen. Hey, see, see, I'm not.
C
I see, I'm, I'm. I don't wanna. What, what picks? What picks are they? So I'm asking first, which, what number two first. Is it gonna be two first? Like is 20, 26 and 20, 27.
B
We go get, we go get something in the, in the top 15 and something right. Just out of the top 15. You're gonna entertain what you gotta entertain. Joe, you talking about, I mean, I love tj, but you talking about two of them and he, you know, he ain't, he ain't young no more. I think TJ, what, 31, 32, something like that. Coming up on that. Like that right there. Yeah.
C
Yes. It pains me to say it, but like we said before, we, we, we, we certainly, we prefaced our comments by saying TJ's not going nowhere. But first you want to check and see the temperature at the same time. Like the crazy part is too deep. Like once you get to that second and that third contract, when they're looking at. They don't care about the numbers. Say it was seven and a half sacks last year. They don't care about the. What? Why? Well, he was missing games because he was injured. You know, I'm saying was care about the puncture lung. Seven and a half sacks, doesn't look like double digits. And what he's done for the last five years in a row, when you're making 35, 40 million dollars a year, it is literally. What have you done for me lately? Like, what have you done for me last season? You know, I'm saying, like, there's no lull time. Like you're getting paid 40. You should be showing me $40 million worth of work every season, every game, every snap. So that's how names even get put into there. But when you're looking at like TJ's his production, he has 115 sacks so far in his career. Okay, that's that, okay, that like the numbers are speaking for themselves. Seven and a half last season because he was hurt. But names like TJ Watts, the best players that do it at this level, two first round picks. All right, okay. He's 31. I mean, okay, we, you do kind of. It sounds, it's intriguing but like I, yeah, I, I would. I don't think TJ's going anywhere. The Steelers, I don't think they do business like that. But like you said, if they talking two first round picks, you gotta ask and, and you, you're gonna, you might, you're gonna answer the call. See what you're talking about.
A
Yeah.
B
Speaking of, speaking of two first round picks, the damn Ravens went and got Max Crosby. That's they did from the Raiders. Dude, two first rounds. Picking 26, picking 27. Man, the dude done had, what is this, 69 and a half sacks since 2019. That's double what the actual Baltimore's top sacker did in that same time span. He only had 30. I think it was the D tackle. He's also a D tackle though. Yeah. So you got to look at that. That's, that's still, that's still impressive, you know, comes down to it. So when you look at it like over the last, what is it, one, two, five years, Baltimore has blown NFL worst 16 leads in the final minutes of a game. Five, five or more than any other team. And last season they blew two of them in the fourth quarter. One by 15 with four minutes left and one by 11 in the fourth quarter. Bro. With them getting Max Crosby, brother, do you think this makes them real contenders and he'll be able to put a fire out to the inability for them to finish games in the fourth quarter?
C
I think it's a big time help. I don't think it's the main thing. I think they still got to do a little bit more on that defense, you know, but adding Max Crosby just shows. End of the day, the Ravens know they have their franchise quarterback, they have Lamar Jackson. They haven't been able to even make it to the Super Bowl. So these big moves for these type teams, like they don't have time to go try to get that first round pick that might pan out. No, let's go get a Max Crosby that we know. He's going to come here. He's going to add to the defense, he brings the energy, he wants to win. This is the type of player that we can bring here. He's going to be a leader of the defense. He's going to add to the safety that we got, a linebacker to the core, you know what I'm saying? So with, with me, I'm, I'm rocking with the Ravens because they're like their windows closing. We got Lamar Jackson. He's not getting any younger. We need to turn this up. Like we can go get this baller them first round picks in the future. I don't know. We don't expect to be picking high in the first round anyway. Let's go get a guaranteed certified ballerina that can go make something happen for our team. So for the Ravens, I'm, I understand why they would do it because they're, they're going all in. We got to perform. We know he's going to be here for a couple of years. We got A legitimate dn. We haven't been able. We haven't rushed to pass it really well. We need to be able to get after the quarterback. He can close the games for us. So for me, I think that they. They made a good move. They know they have a couple of more moves to make, but this is a move that we. Teams that feel like they need a couple of pieces make when they feel like that. This is what we got to do to start winning.
B
So, Joe.
C
Yes.
B
What I like about this is this move puts Baltimore at about $10 million in cap space. So there's going to need to be some restructuring. You go for the top. I think it's 10 guys. Lamar Jackson.
C
Yes.
B
Hitting the cap for 74. 5. Yep. Followed by Smith. Rokhan Smith 32. 7.
C
Yep.
B
The DN 31. Crosby now 30.6. Humphrey 26.3. The tackle, Ron Stanley 24.1. And then Kyle Hamilton. They don't know where that's at. It's 10. It's between 10 and 26, depending on how his bonus accounting is. Derek Henry 16 3, Travis Jones 163 and Mark Andrews 14 7. Bro. They got 65 of a cap taken by five players. Lamar Jackson is 25 alone. And they seem to be beefing. Okay. And along with that, it's about four or five starters that are real life free agents. So I don't know how much you've helped yourself here because you got a lot going on, but they your problems and I'm glad y' all got them.
C
I don't really. I don't think they're too big of problems, though, man. They're gonna just have to do some restructuring.
B
The man already said something goofy about Lamar not being there in camp. When? Soon as the oc. As soon as he got there. What are you talking about? You forgot about that? I don't forget about that. He don't forget about that. What are you talking about? They ain't even talked to the man yet. Joe. Yeah.
C
That's not good. That's not good. They gonna. They gonna. They gonna figure it out because Lamar gonna come. He has to go there. He has to end up performing. Lamar's gonna ball. That's the thing. He's gonna come there. He's gonna perform regardless. So if you don't like him, whatever, whatever. They're showing. They came to go get Max Crosby. They're trying to get the defense right. You know, if he didn't show up to the OTAs, that's not a good look. That's problems that we definitely hope that they're having. But with money wise, like, he didn't.
B
He ain't been showing up to it. What are you talking about?
C
That's what he do.
B
You know what I'm saying? He gotta be out training, doing what he do. Now you got the new dude coming here, and he's talking about you ain't doing enough. You just go come in here and just start throwing accusations around. How you go do that?
C
You talking about the. The coach, the.
B
The OC that got in there, man. What are you talking about?
C
It's not accusations. He said that he wanted him to be in there.
B
He didn't say he wanted him to be in there. He said, if somebody wants to win, they need to do this and do that. And it's all the stuff Lamar, I guess, was accustomed to not going to. So why don't you just say his name? He don't want to go that far, so. No, no, no.
C
Yeah, yeah.
B
Okay, man. You know, Max. Max. Max. Then got on over there. Before he left, though, he had. He had to say goodbye to Raider Nation. We got. We got the sound. Listen to this, man. Ever since I've been here, man, I've had one goal and one mission that's become the best version of myself and help bring a championship back to the Raider organization. And I feel like I left, you know, everything I had on the table for this team. I've given my heart and soul, and I feel like I let y' all down, man. Ever since day one, I've. I've wanted to create and build a winner with the Raiders. Go.
C
Yes.
B
I think the man is sad to go. I think he done got out of there.
C
I think he's sad to go. I think he said to go. I think, honestly, I mean, no, he said to go because the city the same way. He wanted to go there and legitimately think he could make a winner in Vegas. Fans got behind him. He genuinely thought he could do it. When you're that good of a player, you think wherever you go, you can bring a team. But it's. It's more than just you. You can only do your 1/11. You got tackles, guards, you got coaches, you got GMs. There's a bigger thing than just you being able to bring a championship to a team. And that's what the part where when he's like, yo, when I come in here, he genuinely probably thought, I'm going to. We're going to grow the team here. The core that we got, all these guys, we're going to make something happen. No. You know what I'm saying? So it's genuine sadness. Like, man, I really thought I could bring a championship here. Like, I tried my hardest. And then last season when they're blatantly you're saying I can play and they're holding you out of games when you're like they don't want to win. Like, I'm sorry to the Raiders nation. I wanted to bring a championship here, but it wasn't in the same cahoots of the Raiders nation of the managers and the people of the above, the higher ups. They had a different plan.
B
You say Tom Brady ain't want to win.
C
I mean, right? I think that maybe. Yes. Looking at it like the same way basketball, if we ain't going to get. We're going to make the playoffs, we might as well. Tank had a best case scenario to get the highest draft pick. Like something. I think they might be doing that. If you're playing, if your best player says he can play and it's good to play, he likes. No, no, no. Just go ahead, rest it out. We're going to call it the season. Then that's showing that you don't want to win because your best player on defense will probably help you win the game. He wants to go in, he doesn't want to go lose. So you hold him out like, no, no, you just rest that ankle. You know what I'm saying? So that is possibly what was happening. And when Max is looking at it like we're organizationally not on the same path. I know Raiders fans, y' all wanted to win. I wanted to win.
B
We.
C
But I'm sorry, I got to go elsewhere. Got me up out of here. You know what I'm saying? Sorry I couldn't bring all the championship. Genuinely, I wanted to. I think that's what it was like.
B
Okay, okay, man, listen, I'm not what you think happy about him leaving. I kind of wish he had stayed. At least went to the Cowboys because I don't like the fact that we got a scene twice a year.
C
Okay.
B
You know, I, I don't. That's what I don't like. Yeah. For them, as a Ravens fan. Hell yeah. I like it. I love it. I'm, you know, but my reaction is nothing compared to Jamar Chase reaction. Man, listen to this. Joe, just text me, Ravens traded for Max Crosby. No,
C
no,
B
no, brother. I'm highly pissed right now. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. How the do we let this go
C
to the division, bro?
B
Oh, my God, bro, why the go to the division, bro? Oh, my God. Hey, hey. Oh, bro, listen, you heard what he said.
C
Yes.
B
Burrow. Text him, bruh. I got these three monsters over here, man, I gotta see twice a year
C
loading up on me, tj.
B
And now y' all done brought Crosby over here, bruh.
C
That's the sound of a man that's like, he's genuinely pissed. He genuinely pissed. He wants his team to win. When you see that and you're on the squad and now, you know, in the division they bringing in, do players know? They're like, max Crosby's a dog. And Joe Burrow texting him because he know tj Watt hitting him upside the head. Look at him. That's not a Zen.
B
He's trying.
C
He's trying to be Zen. He's trying to be Zen. He doesn't feel Zen. He doesn't feel safe. I don't feel safe.
B
Hey, that's just.
C
You know what I'm saying?
B
Joe. Let me talk to Joe. Joe Burrow.
C
He needs to buy them boys more than golf.
B
Oh, see, listen, I got. I got. I got my camera. I'm on my phone right now. See, I ain't got no Internet service. You know what I'm saying? So I'm on my phone right now, people. That's why it's kind of. It's kind of iffy. Iffy. So the camera. Oh, no, the camera's right here. Okay, so the camera's right there. Hey, Joe. Yes, Joe. Let's talk to Joe Burrow. Joe, come on over here to the Stillers, man.
C
Oh, we.
B
We can protect you.
C
We will protect you at all cost.
B
All costs. You come on over here, we're gonna make sure your blind side is protected. We will go out there and spend and spend to make sure you are okay. It's never too late to come on over here, I hear.
C
I see.
B
I feel your concern just from how you called your partner. Like, hey, you know what they done did? They done went and got this monster, and they done let him go over there. They done sent him over there. Yep. Joe. Joe.
C
Helen, come on.
B
Come on. Tell him.
C
Open arms. Open arms. Welcomed.
B
Embrace you, my brother.
C
Embrace Joe Burrow. Now, that's the only now when you talk about Joe Burrow, that's when. That's when you definitely. You answer the phone for anybody. Anybody could go. I don't care. Hey, anyone could go for Joe.
B
Hey, what y' all want? What you want?
C
What you want? Tell us what you want. The phone line is open.
B
Huh?
C
Or Joe. Joe just need to act. Joe just need to get this grown. Tell him he want to get out of here.
B
Yeah. Omar Khan. Omar, what's up, baby?
C
We got it. But the only way, though, bro. The only way, though, bro, they not lying. We gotta do a double deal.
B
Okay.
C
It got to be a double deal.
B
We on right now. But I'm talking. I'm talking. I'm talking to Joe. Me and Joe talking to Joe Burrow right now. So what we gonna do is we go get right, huh? Yeah, I'm gonna get back to you after we get through with the show, though. Believe me, I'm gonna get in there. I'm getting there.
C
Bump it. I'm gonna go ahead and make. We might as well bump it. If this ain't tampering. I don't care if we could do it. If we could do it, but we have to bring. He's not. You know what, though? He's not leaving Jamar Chase. That's why I said we gotta do it. We gotta do it.
B
We can look past the nasty you did.
C
We got to do a wd, you know? Yep. Everything could be forgiven. Listen, everything could be forgiven if. Hey, but see, I'm giving up. That's. There's a lot. Yep.
B
Joe. Hey, what is everything. Lord forgives, man. How am I not gonna be able.
C
How many first round picks? How many first round picks do we have?
B
What? They won't give it. Give them all. Yeah, we don't need none for the next five, six years. Give them here.
C
Yeah, There you go.
B
Yep.
C
Yo, no, for sure that. Yeah, I'm dressing that up however they want it.
B
I'm telling you, brother. Oh, wait, I'm telling you. But you know what? It was one place they wouldn't go saying, Crosby, Tom said, ain't no way we ain't sending them over there to patriots. According to ESPN's Jeremy Father, the Patriots reportedly wanted Max Crosby in the off season, but Tom said he wasn't happening. He was not having it. I guess a follower spoke to someone involved in the Crosby trade and quote, no way Tom was sending Max to va. Joe.
C
Yes.
B
Should the Raiders be worried about Tom Brady's ties to the Patriots and how it could affect business decisions? Joe.
C
I will only say if they were willing to offer them two first round picks and he was still like, no, then no. If he's going against the best deal for. Against his personal relationships. Yes. Like, if they're offering. If New England's trying to get over with a friendly deal, like, yeah, give me I'll give you a first and a fifth for Max. And he's like this. No, I'm not sending them to New England. Completely justified. But if you like, they sending you two first rounds and you like this. No, I'm sending them over here for a first and a second. Y' all got me like, I'm not helping y'.
B
All.
C
Then you're. Then, then that's when it's like, no, no, Tom, come on, man. Tighten up, brother. Do we want.
B
So you. You think it wasn't the first and the first. You thinking it was just a first and something else?
C
I think that it was maybe it had to be a worse deal because I'm not. I'm not in the mind frame to think that Tom is going to do that. I don't know what they offered. Let me find out what they offered them. And if it was a first and a first and he was still laughing in their faces, then the Raiders need to be concerned.
B
Well, okay, but, but Joe, Joe, you know me. I like to stir it up a little bit. Joe.
C
Huh?
B
Now I'm going to say if both deals were equal, then yes, maybe that's a good decision. But if both deals were not equal and they could have got maybe a little pinch more over here with the Patriots, I'm going to tell you what I think may have happened. This is just a. What is it? Conspiracy. This is a conspiracy. I think this is what happened. Tom said, hell no, I'm not sending him over there and giving them a rusher like that after they done already went to the Super Bowl. And if they had him, they would have had a damn good chance of winning it. And y' all got this young quarterback over there that's doing it being compared to me. I can't have him up there about to go ahead and be erasing my legacy as a Patriot. It's a little bit of maybe self preservation.
C
That's what I think. Joe, I think. I think you. I think you could be right. I think you could definitely be right. I think. Cause Tom Brady, I mean, he could be like, no, I won the seven there. I'm not trying to get him this. I'm not trying to clip all they base they were in the ship. If I get him maxed, then they're automatically going to be right back. Yeah, I mean, I can understand exactly what you're saying. And I think that he could be.
B
Have.
C
Have a little. You never know. Tom Brady could have a hating his heart. Well, like, man, no, I don't want The Patriots to be good.
B
Well, you know, it ain't. It ain't so much hate as it
C
is
B
preserving your legacy, Joe.
C
Serving you. His legacy is preserved. He's Tom Brady.
B
He on year two, and he done went there, but he didn't win.
C
Buddy did not win one ship yet, and he had six.
B
I'm saying he got seven total.
C
But I could see if he started doing this after Buddy won, too. Listen, let him win two, and then you start talking.
B
You can't give him a shot, Joe. You can't give him no head start. You can't give him. You give him what he gave him now, and he's putting him right there where he at. It ain't hating.
C
It's preserving your see, Joe, he think he's a competitor. Take the best. I think he took. I think the deal was less. I think he would have took.
B
I want to find out somebody that got some inside information. I want to find out how much better the deal was that he took from Baltimore.
C
And then even if it was this, if it was the same deal, I'm still with him going. You could definitely send.
B
Oh, yeah.
C
To the other team for sure. Oh, yeah.
B
Yeah, for sure. I'm. I'm with that. But, you know, I think. Now I think about it, they might have been like, yeah, you know what? He gonna help us out in hell. He is. He gonna give us a. He gonna give us a player deal. You know what I'm saying? His legacy here, man. You want to see. You want to see his win? The hell he do.
C
No, the hell he don't want to
B
see y' all go down in the dirt.
C
Yes. He wants to flip the Raiders flames. He don't want. He want the Raiders to win the ship before the Patriots win the ship.
B
No question. No question.
C
Y' all ain't giving me ownership over there.
B
No, hey, that's craft.
C
That's crap. You don't need no. No other owners.
B
But him and Kraft got a good relationship.
C
Can you let him get a piece though? A great relationship, but you gonna let him get a piece of the Patriots? I don't know how friendly, how much. How much of a friend he is.
B
I guess he don't really love me like he said he do love me.
C
You got to show me.
B
You got to show me.
C
Show me how much for 5% of New England.
B
Yo, man, listen here, brother. They saying, you know, your brows over there. They say they might. They say they might have some drama going on over there. They haven't. I don't know dude, they haven't been able to get a hold of Miles Garrett. They said since was it monking got hot. I think maybe. Maybe he was just driving too fast, the signal couldn't catch up to him and his phone wasn't working or something. Or maybe. I don't know. Or maybe. I mean, he could have. He was at the Olympics, too. He was supporting his girlfriend, so he might have had bad service, you know what I'm saying? And now the dc, Mike Rudenberg, they asked him, you know, had you heard from Miles yet? And. And he said, we haven't spoke face to face. We've both been traveling a lot. And I cannot wait to meet. I cannot wait to meet him and learn from him. Obviously amazing. As obviously. Amazingly as much as had what utmost respect for him as a player and all the great things I've heard about him as a person. So.
C
Yes.
B
How hard is it to make a phone call? Joe, hey, TJ Watton then. Then talked to his D coordinator, tj. TJ Watton then. Then had conversations with his decoy bro.
C
It is literally off season. It's not even.
B
So there's no issue, Joe, that there's no issue. Talk to the DC no one time yet.
C
You know why? He's Miles Garrett. He's going to be there on time, ready to perform. Like, what we going to talk about? What we going to talk about right now during the off season. I understand you. You got the draft stuff.
B
Well, how you know he ain't going to change the whole defense?
C
It don't even matter when Miles gets there. What you going to do? He knows how to get after the passer. All defenses, you need a mile.
B
And it's going to fit.
C
It's going to fit wherever. Yes. And Mom's gonna be there in April and it's gonna come in there. He's gonna be there. He's gonna be a leader. I just don't get all that. Don't be putting that.
B
Hey, hey. Do y'.
A
All.
B
Do y'. All.
C
Do y' all overseas.
B
How much. Joe is a Browns fan. He doesn't even want to say anything is possible for there to be any negative consequences from them. This is crazy.
C
I'm just saying we got enough drama already. That's real. Please do me a favor and take those to make up fake filler helmets. Make a fake drama of your office, huh?
B
It's. This is real drama, Joe.
C
This is not real drama. This is.
B
This is okay. But Lamar. Not. Not. You know, Lamar's OC saying something ain't Real drama. But him not even talking to the man ain't real drama. Even though he's been trying to get a hold of.
C
He didn't say he was trying to get a hold of him. You're. No, you're.
B
I'm reading in between the lines.
C
Lies. You're adding lies. He didn't reach out to Miles. Miles ain't reached out to him because he's trying to figure out everything else. He knows one thing. When OTAs and all that Miles Garrett is going to be the starting defensive end for. He needs to be figuring out his plan, how he's going to do Miles. Miles gonna be there.
B
Don't trip.
C
Miles getting his 40. Miles gonna be there, and Miles is gonna come.
B
He just maybe now. Like that 40 ain't enough no more, man. No. After what you all did.
C
Nope.
B
I need 50.
C
Nope. He good. He good. He still got. No, he still got another year until he get to negotiating again. Miles gonna just chill, do what he got to do off season. He's enjoying it. After 23 and a half. You don't gotta see it. Miles come back right there in April. You still. He still got a couple days, a couple weeks, two, three weeks.
B
That's crazy. He just got a ticket, though. Not even. Not even. Not even two weeks ago. But he. He still couldn't, huh? In Cleveland.
C
He was trying to get.
B
He was going to.
C
He was trying to get. Trying to get to the airport to go cu.
B
At least you could have to go talk to him like the man. Listen, okay, Joe can't do no wrong, all right?
C
Look, for real, he could. At the end of the day, a phone call isn't hard. And being text.
B
Hey, how you doing this Miles, man? Nice, nice, nice, nice. E. Meet you. Text meet you, man. I get. I get a hold of you when my schedule get a lot a little bit lighter. You know what I'm saying? Like anything, Joe. Am I off or are you off, Joe? Look like we done lost Joe, y'. All. So now it is the Debo Show. I've been waiting on this. I've been waiting on this the whole time. I ain't gonna even lie to y'.
A
All.
B
Damn it. Is he coming back? This the Devo Show. Look here, man. So what we gonna do is we're gonna get into a little bit of other news here, man. We got. We got a big signing over here with Philly, man. They done signed Jordan Davis to a huge contract over here, man. Let's check this out right here. He just signed a extension it's in a three year extension, actually. 70. What is that? $76 million? $78 million. He just signed a $78 million extension. That makes him the highest paid nose tackle in NFL history. He got 65 million guaranteed. 20, 22. What was he, the 13th pick? He was going into his fifth year. That was 13 million for his fifth year option. Obviously that they had picked up. This right here. It's one of those things, man, that I, I love to see, man. I like to see dudes breaking records, getting more money and more money. They had no choice, to be honest with you. The dude is just a straight up monster. When you look at him, especially his ability in a run game. There's no way that you're going to be able to stop him. No, hey, cut Joe out. There's no way you're going to be
C
able to stop my wi fi.
B
You know the man. The man runs 4, 7, 8 in the 40. Him and Joe usually run the same time. 341 pounds. The man is 6, 6. He's big. My wi fi went out, you know, running the ball. You gonna need at least two to block him. Passing the ball, you're gonna need at least two to block him. You cannot stop him with one. He's going to collapse your pocket. Y' all tell me when Joe get back. And quarterback cannot throw the ball. Man, who are you talking about? They better have paid that man good money. They didn't. If they didn't, it would have been some smoke in the city. They had to do what they had to do. You understand? That's what, that's what, that's what you do. You make yourself unable to be let go and they gotta pay you more and more. And that's how you do it. You hear me, people? I hear y' all in the chat. Yes. Joe got some BS Internet. That is right. And he don't pay his bills.
C
Right in the middle of the miles talk may just cut off.
B
Oh, it just cut off right in the middle of. Oh, Joe bags. Oh, there he is.
C
Yeah, I'm here.
B
It cut off in the middle of the milestone.
A
I'm here.
B
See, I was informing the people about Jordan Davis, his three year extension, 78 million. The man becomes the highest paid nose tackle in NFL history.
C
That's how you do it, dude.
B
That dude is a monster brother. Yes, huge. Two. You need two at all times. You ain't moving him with one. No, you ain't moving number one. That's what go ahead, my linebackers. Dude. That's freeing up my linebackers.
C
That's what you need, and that's how you see it. Defensive tackles getting that bag. Everybody.
B
Everybody getting that back.
C
9, 12, 15, 18. That's 26 million a year now for D tackles.
B
Dude, it's. I think he got 65 guaranteed
C
servingly, so.
B
Oh, yeah, no question.
C
That dude is a baller. No. Plug up the middle. People need dudes like that. And when you do it for the team, you're like, I love to see when the team that you ball for takes care of you.
B
Yes, sir. That's the way to do it.
