His numbers and his stats, to me, in his first three seasons, Well, I would say his last two years, similar to Jared Verse. Same amount. Like, say, Jared versus him. Solo tackles, 34 total tackles, 71 for verse, 52 for herbic, 12 sacks for verse, 13 sacks for herb in his last two seasons. You know what I'm saying? Five force fumbles for verse, seven force fumbles for Herb. So you're getting. And he went to two Pro Bowls. And these last two years, Herbic didn't get any of those stats. He's had 800 snaps. Herbic's had 415 snaps. It's not. You can't fault Herbic because he has TJ Watt in front of him and Alex Highsmith, who both of them signed the extensions, which they deserved. We got TJ Wa making 41, we got Miles making 40 beers plays making Michael Parsons making $46 million a year. So when we looking at the number, the average per year highsmith at that same time when the Steelers, they're signing their players and it looks like crazy amounts of money, but when we're looking at your equals or who you're playing against, those guys is 16th highest out of rushers. And him with what he's doing with his production, if he were able to, he can be a starter, we can be able to get a first round pick for Herbic. So at the, looking at the contract, my man just got three years, 150 million from Houston. Do you know what I'm saying? So when you're looking at 50 million, that's, that's $50 million a year there right now we got him under contract for five years. You add on this additional year, he was going to make 3, 3.4 million, $4 million. So it's, we got Herbie five years under contract for $104 million. Which averages around 20.8 years, that we have him under our rights for the next five years. So if he ends up like we expect him to play over this contract, dudes are making $50 million. It's going to go nowhere but up. I'd rather sign him now, have him on lock on the team. And now we have Highsmith with two more years left on his contract at $15 million per year. He got two for 30 and then we're going to see how that goes. TJ Watt has two more years of guaranteed money on his deal. 32 year, 32 million each year. Let's see how TJ Watt, we love, come out there and ball out, you know what I'm saying? So having Herbic here, you know what I'm saying, for the foreseeable future, being able to know that you're not just going to not have Highsmith, Watt, we don't know what's going to happen in the future, but in this next year or two, I would like to have Watt balling out, seeing what he could do. Highsmith, he's under contract, he's balling out, see what he can do. And now we have Herbic on the team. He's been balling for these three years, getting his reps and what he can do. And now we have a three man rotation where we got three ballers and he's going to get his reps up. Highsmith's going to be able to get a little bit more rest. Watts going to still be getting his rest. So it's not like you're going to feel like. No, no, we got two, we got three starters in that rotation at linebacker. Outside linebacker is going to be nice. Let's max these dudes out. Let's ball out. Let's continue to see what's going on for this year because we have them under contract. We don't have to move anything. He's somewhere above damn near what it should be, closer to, 25, 27. So this right here is a great, great move. Great deal. Omar Khan is cooking. Mike McCarthy is cooking. And as he said in his quote, he said, he said you can never have enough players, especially in the outside linebacker position. They're all playmakers. He said, I'm thrilled to death. We have them all. They are keeping them all. Now you have your brand new D coordinator, Patrick Graham, and he has nothing to handicap him. He has everybody there. It's all hands on deck. Now we get to see what it's supposed to look like. Now we get to see what the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, you know, is supposed to look like. Yeah, what we're accustomed to seeing, bro, like sitting on top of the NFL, being the most feared defense in the NFL.

So letting him go, you're talking about a savings of about $36 million when your salary to him would be 46 million. And then you have Sawyer, right. That's behind him. So he may be the next thing up. And even if he's not possibly after this year. You have Highsmith that you can extend maybe two or three years, you know, after this year. And he's. I think he'll be coming up on 30, though. But he's a young 30. He's like a 30 like I was. He's only six or seven years in. He's seven years in at that time. He'll be seven years. He's six years. Six years now. Yeah. He'll be seven years in by that time. So you're talking about having then Herbic, Highsmith and then Sawyer. If everything pans out to where we

Don't hurt yourself, Know your assignment, don't hurt yourself, get to it and do it. Teach them the right technique so that they can go out there and accomplish and do their job. Because there's no way in hell they would be taught the right things that we were looking at being done by different members on a consistent basis. And then sitting down and obviously hearing what we heard as we were sitting there of what was being taught was crazy or not taught.

We should say with the people that we have on defense, with that defense, with those players that are out there, if they know their assignment alignment and technique and are communicating and just out there Every time, there's no mas, there's no bust. I'm not saying doing the craziest stuff, people are going to make plays on them, but if nobody's running scot free down the field and you have to drive it down on that defense, I would love to see it. So that's where we're just looking at it like, no, just don't have those plays. And let's see how good and how highly ranked this defense could be. Offense, run the ball, let's see what's going on and we can get up on the sticks, you know what I'm saying? Not a rod. Okay? He's not fast. A lot of quarterbacks aren't fast, but they know where they need to go with the ball. They're able to, you know what I'm saying? Hand it off, you know what I'm saying?
