Trinidad Chambers, it says it's an eligibility issue that cost him the QB. EA Sports College 27 football game cover. What is going on there, Joe? You know what's going on there, Joe? So looking at that. So he was granted, I guess, an extra year by the state, like, okay. Issued an injunction, said he was eligible. NCAA said he wasn't. So they gave him a. The judge granted an injunction that would give him an eligibility for a six year this year. And the judge concluded that the ncaa, look at that. Didn't act in good faith by denying him away. Hey, leave that good faith word alone, bro. That good faith is for them, okay? But the NCAA is still challenging it. So it makes it his. In his ineligibility, it makes his eligibility in question. So I guess on March 9, the EA Sports reportedly pulled out of negotiations with him on the COVID So that killed a huge nil deal for him. And now he has the possibility of an added claim that the NCAA cost him money, which they did. So this is huge because, you know, the nil money kind of changes the stakes and stuff. So you're talking about, you know, potential millions lost in nil opportunities and then the NCAA would then be able to be sued for claims of lost NLI income.

Of eligibility denials.

So how long. So, but so he's trying to get another year in college football. How long has he played? Is he trying.

Is this gonna be like he got a medical. Well, he applied for a medical, I guess, medical ration, and they denied his medical. But he went to court in the state court and the judge was like, you know, we're going to give it to him.

Okay. So basically what it comes down to, I guess this right here could mess up or not mess up. It'll challenge the NCAA's eligibility rules, you know, with the nil. You know, financial stuff and the antitrust and all the other stuff. So the thing that they had was the. It's called. It was House vs. NCAA where the lawsuit argued that the NCAA illegally prevented college athletes from earning money, like for decades, you know.

Yeah.

[Debo]

Same thing is that they. From nil stuff. So the ncaa, and it's supposed to be a couple major conferences, agreed to like a massive proposal. It was like 2.7 billion and it would be paying back athletes that covered from 2016 to 2024.

That would compensate players who couldn't earn, you know, nil. Nil money before they changed the rule. Now that's something that right now, like, they're looking at allowing the schools like to pay players. So they would allow the schools to play players by doing revenue sharing. So sharing with the players directly, like each school, I guess they're saying, would be afforded, just as an example, 20 to 22 million dollars per year for the athletic programs. Okay. So that payment would come from TV revenue tickets, you know, sponsorship, all that stuff. And essentially you're just giving college the salary cap. Yeah. Now the issue with the 20 million, or 20 to 20, whatever that number is, is when you look at old State, I think. Oh, state, they already had like 20, 20, 25 just for the football team.

Yeah. Alabama Jones is crazy, like, right. 30 something.

This revenue sharing thing that they're looking at, looking at doing it would kind of mess up how they've said all along, like, you know, college athletes or amateurs and all this other stuff. But if that house versus the NCAA settlement is approved, it could change everything because it would basically take the Big Ten and the SEC conference and make them dog dominant. Because it would take the revenue. It would. Because they would be getting the players or the athletes would be getting a percentage of the revenue from what it is that. That they make conferences make. Right. And the SEC and the Big Ten make twice as much as everybody else. You're talking. Oh, yeah, I think the closest is 400 to 500 million, something like that. And then the SEC is like 800 to a billion. And then the Big Ten is like a one point. Is a billion to 1.1 billion. So like, they would just totally bruh. Dominate the market when it came time, you know, for it being a percentage of like, yeah, uscc.

Yeah, I'm sec. I'm Florida, Florida Gators. We gonna get that. That means we'll be getting that 22 and we'll be getting all the recruits and all.

No, you would get more because you would. It would like. It would be based on a revenue percentage, so.

That whole 20 ain't gonna be just football. Yeah. So that four or five, you ain't getting that no more. Even though you may be bringing in, you know, 7, 800% of the income.
