It's pretty great, but people are going to great lengths to ensure that their baby is an American citizen. And even if the mother just gives birth on US soil and then goes back to wherever she came from, this could be for health care purposes or something more nefarious. And just last week we talked about how the Supreme Court struck down President Trump's executive order to limit birthright citizenship and a 63 decision that means all children born in the US to illegal aliens are US citizens at birth under the Constitution. And Justice Samuel Alito touched on the ulterior motives someone may have for doing this in a separate dissenting opinion that went further than the rest. He wanted to overturn birthright citizenship altogether for fear of what is already happening in this country. Foreign adversaries are using this citizenship loophole to essentially take us down from the inside. And this is what he said in that dissenting opinion. Suppose that a person's only connection to this country is that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth to, then quickly returned to her native country. Suppose that country is a strategic adversary or enemy of the United States, so the child never visited the United States growing up and was inculcated with hatred of this country. According to this court, that person is a citizen of the United States. He can enter and leave the country as he pleases. He can travel the world on a United States passport. Even if he plots to harm this country, he cannot be deprived of of his status as a citizen. And this has been happening for a very long time. I played this video on the show last week, but it's important to drive this home. CBS covered this birthright citizen tourism issue back in 2013.

Watch this her name is Ada Lynn. She's four months old and the only American citizen in her family. Her parents, who agreed to speak with us if we didn't show their faces, traveled from China to Los Angeles so Ada could be born in America and and claim U.S. citizenship. I want her to live a happy life, her father says. The family is back in China now. They are among thousands of Chinese who become so called birth tourists staying in maternity hotels near Los Angeles. These hotels are often single family homes in quiet neighborhoods. At least two are in Chino Hills, California where residents are annoyed at the frequent comings and goings. Chino Hills resident Rosanna Mitchell why does this offend you?

When people think of the American dream, they're not thinking about birth tourism. They're thinking about people who come here, immigrate here, work hard, pay their taxes, become citizens and become Americans.

Ada Lin's family paid $27,000 to a Chinese agency with a website that advertises the advantages of giving birth in America. The agency helps arrange U.S. tourist visas, lodging and medical care. The Practice does not violate federal immigration laws, but it gives Chinese parents the option down the road to have their American children attend U.S. universities or live here. The Lin say having ADA in the United States allowed them to get around China's one child policy. It restricts most women from giving birth to more than one child in China. The Lin say that restriction does not apply to Chinese who give birth overseas. This hilltop home was converted into a maternity hotel that housed as many as 30 pregnant Chinese women at a time. It apparently didn't break immigration laws, but local officials managed to close it down. Scott. For violating building codes. John, thank you very much.

This is crazy. It's crazy. It's infuriating. I'm reading all of you in the chat. You all agree. Tara said so tired of this. It's absolutely ridiculous. The fact that the Supreme Court allowed this is disturbing. It is disturbing. And the best case scenario, you know, this family moves to the United States. They become legal citizens because they love this country so much. Worst case scenario is what Justice Alito was warning about. Let's say a Chinese person or a Russian person or Iranian person is born in the United States. Automatically a citizen goes back to their home country right after birth, and they're raised to hate the United States. Well, that baby can grow up, travel back and forth, run for political office. And that was in 2013, and it was happening way before that. And this family is certainly not the first to do it. They're certainly not the last. Back in 2020, a Turkish anchor baby ring was exposed on Long Island. Listen to this crackdown on an alleged anchor baby ring on Long Island. Prosecutors say more than 100 pregnant women from Turkey came here to give BIR, so their children were instantly granted U.S. citizenship.

Investigators say the women then used benefits like Medicaid. CBS2's Carolyn Gossoff reports from Suffolk County.

An alert Smithtown town employee noticed a strange pattern of birth certificates. Five babies from one house at one time. An investigation led to an international fraud scheme. An alleged birth tourism ring operating on Long Island. For three years.

The defendants fraudulently facilitated the births in the United states of approximately 119 Turkish children. And those children now hold birthright U.S. citizenship.

It's the 14th amendment that grants citizenship to any child born in the U.S. officials say in this case, ringleaders brazenly advertised in Turkey. Translation, if you believe your baby should be born in the USA and become an American citizen, you're in the right place. What's illegal? Alleged lies to obtain travel visas, fraudulent Medicaid claims for Babies and moms who stayed at seven birth houses across Suffolk County. Women paid up to $10,000 each for accommodations and free health care, paid by U.S. taxpayers.

They're doing it on the backs of the taxpayers. They're milking the Medicaid system.

Six people arrested, charged with money laundering and $2 million in Medicaid fraud.

119 babies in three years. And thankfully, that ring was cracked down on. But just think about how many babies have been born under these circumstances since then and in every other state in this nation. We know it's happening in California. We know it's happening in New York. And now it's happening in Texas. And there's money behind this. People are profiting off of this industry. So take a look at these billboards being advertised out in the public for all to see right here in Texas. This was a billboard put up by Mission Regional Medical center in Mission, Texas, which is right on the border there and in the southern border. And the billboard is in Spanish. It offers discounted rates to give birth in Texas. It says childbirth packages in South Texas. If you want a natural birth, it's $3,950. If it's a cesarean section, $5,525. For more information, call this number. It's a Mexican area code. And have my baby in Texas.com is advertised underneath have my baby in Texas.com. and this is all so that people who are speaking Spanish living in Mexico can read this. They, this is a targeted operation. And it's kind of crazy that this has just become something that can be advertised on a billboard when it's illegal. Don't you think that the hospital would maybe think twice about putting up a billboard for this?

I was very shocked. I don't think I fully understood the gravity of. Even if you're committing a serious crime here in the United States, the kid's just scot free.

Of course.

And again, it's. It's not the baby's fault. Like, I, it's not that I don't want the baby to grow up here. I just want it to happen under the correct circumstances. And it's. This is about the parents and the decisions that the parents are making. And you're right. Like, we don't know who these people are. We don't know if they're criminals. They. We don't know if they're. I don't know, they're illegal. They're not vetted.

Yeah. So especially in youth sports, if you wanted to kind of come to the United States and get started seen by American scouts. Especially in basketball. Basketball is really big in China. These kids would come and do every single college basketball camp.

They could get to just to be seen. And, and it was, it's really interesting. The, the wealthy Chinese parents send their kids over and they basically do a three month stay bouncing around from camp to camp here. But I had not.

[Haley]

That doesn't really bother me.

If you're, if you're willing to do that, send your kid over here for three, four months. I mean, getting U.S. citizenship. Citizenship. Clearly they're willing to, to up the ante.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think there are a lot of reasons why people would want to come to the United States, whether your kid is fully grown or an adult. I mean, who wouldn't want to live here? Right. There are so many opportunities and certainly there are more opportunities here than there are in China and, and other places. So I totally get that. But what I don't understand is the, the Texas hospital putting up a billboard essentially broadcasting their illegal anchor baby situation. Like they're basically giving tech people in Mexico discounts that American citizens wouldn't get.

Yeah, it's all grants because we had X amount of births. We need more money.

[Haley]

Right.

And nobody's going in and saying, well, were these births from elite? They're just, we had 10,000 births this year, of course.

[Haley]

And then they get more money. But yeah, it's very expensive to give birth in the United States. I, I would have to ask my friends who have given birth, birth recently, but it's in the tens and twenty thousand range. It's very expensive. My one friend, her husband's in the military so they have great insurance and it was for free. But if that's not the case for you, which it is for a lot of Americans, that's a lot of money to have to shell out to have a baby. Anyway, Kayleigh McEnany on Fox said that she spoke with Attorney General Ken Paxton about this and he provided some more details about what's happening here. Watch. I spoke with Ken Paxton on this and he showed me pictures where there are houses in Texas that look residential, so it could be your neighbor's. And you go inside the house and there are rows of bassinets where Chinese women are coming, giving birth to a child, then going back to the Chinese Communist Party, educating their child there. And they have US Citizenship which could amount to more than a million new voters in this. And it's really scary because it's not happening the other way around either. It's not like there are people in the United States who are desperate to have their babies in China for, I mean, obviously, like this is ridiculous to flip it on its head because it doesn't make sense. But this is what I'm saying. Like people want to do it to us and mooch off of us and our government and our medical resources and things like that. It's never going to happen the other way around. So it can only be a detriment

to us, even espionage wise. No country is letting us get, of course, tons of citizens dual citizenship. No, I mean, it's common, unfortunately, that's the problem. It is common sense.

Yeah. So these kinds of houses clearly are happening because Kay, as Kaylee said, she talked to Attorney General Ken Paxton, he says that these are these birthing houses in Texas. And in those two clips that I played earlier, we know that this is happening in California with these birthing houses and on Long Island. I mean, California and New York, like these are sanctuary states cities. Like I would imagine that that's going to be happening there. But you know, to see it in Texas and then to think how many babies are being born under these circumstances in all the different states. I mean, what she just said in that clip was that could produce a million new voters. And that's quite a scary thought to know that someone could be in China and could vote in our elections.

And they definitely have our best interest in mind for sure.

Of course. Oh, my goodness. So Texas Governor Greg Abbott is, of course, investigating this. Thankfully, on Tuesday, he directed the Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner, or Executive Commissioner Stephanie Muth, to investigate this hospital for potential violations of state law and contractual obligations. And very quickly, as soon as there was an investigation launched, the hospital had the billboards removed. And then Fox News in this article reached out to the hospital for a statement and they said this, quote, the marketing materials regarding maternity services are no longer in use due to any unintended misunderstanding. That's what they said. We do not support or facilitate any unlawful activity and work to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Of course, that's you're only sorry because you got caught, basically. And Governor Abbott had this to say. American citizenship is not for sale and Texas will not permit our health care system to be used as a magnet for birth tourism. Amen. And again, think Texas being a border state is an obvious hotbed for a Lot of the consequences of an open border. Thankfully, it's a red state. With leadership like that, who wants to follow the laws in the United States and protect us? And President Trump now wants the Supreme Court to rehearse this case. He said. He said this on truth. Social signs and billboards are being put up all over our southern border and Mexico advertising birthright citizenship with Delivery starting at $4,000. Likewise, similar signs going up all over the country. Billions of dollars will be illegally made by this scam. With citizenship going to anyone willing to pay, it will be by far the number one way of becoming a citizen. And then the entire family will be allowed to follow. Not sustainable. Nobody saw this coming. American citizenship is not for sale. In fact, that is a crime, and therefore the Supreme Court's ruling is wrong. I will be asking for a rehearing by the United States Supreme Court immediately. This miscarriage of justice will destroy America if they don't change their absolutely insane decision. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I agree 100% that the implications of this are so terrifying that this has to be reheard. But I kind of think it's doubtful that any of these members of the Supreme Court will change their minds. I don't think that they will. They've already made their minds up. I don't know if. Or maybe you think that this specific situation will have them reconsider. I don't know. I think the people that are for birthright citizenship are going to be like, yeah, no problem. That's what the law says. So I don't really have any hope that they're going to reconsider this. And if they don't, then it's up to Congress to do something. And might I suggest doing it sooner rather than later, considering the midterms are coming up and it'd be nice to see them get something done while we have.

Thin majority. So it'd be nice to see them do something. Here I am poking Congress with a stick, and we have to. We have to question. When someone comes here from another country and then they run for political office, which country did they serve? Right. The one they grew up in or the one that they've adopted and immigrated to? The one that they took an oath to uphold the Constitution of. Well, Nadia Muhammad is the mayor of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and she spent the Fourth of July in Somalia, because obviously Somalia is beautiful in July. I heard Somalia is beautiful on the 4th of July.

So you would think that after spending most of your life in the US you would pledge allegiance to the country that you live in. But on the 250th birthday of the nation on July 4, on the 1 day we celebrate our independence, this Minnesota mayor is in Somalia with the president. It's just like, it's crazy. Most American mayors. And she's like, no one else is. No one's keeping track of all these other mayors and what they're doing on the Fourth of July. Probably because they're in their backyard at a barbecue, one would hope, eating America apple pie and hot dogs. You know, like, I think if any other mayor, too. I'm saying, like, I'm criticizing her for what she did. I'm criticizing her for her actions, not who she is or the country or who she met it. This would apply to anyone who did the same thing. If Mayor Eric Adams went to, I don't know, anywhere else.

Again, Karen Bass, the mayor of L. A was mocked when she was in Ghana. Why were you meeting the president of Ghana while your city was burning down? Right? Like, of course go and see your family, but on July 4th, and then you're going to be with the president. It's weird. I don't care what color or race or religion you are, where you came from, if you're an elected Official in the United States of America, and you spend the 4th of July anywhere else. I find it weird. I just do. I would never. I would never think, oh, it's July 4th weekend. Let me book a trip to Italy. Let me book a trip to Greece. Oh, I have a long weekend. Let me go away. So what do they do? Right. If this is going to be an everyday occurrence, they might move out of that area. A lot of people in New York City, it's apartments most people don't own. People do, of course, own apartments and standalone houses in Brooklyn and Queens. But there is a culture in New York of picking, up, moving, picking up, moving, picking up Moving. And I was certainly part of that when I lived there. And I think if I was living in this area in Brooklyn, I would think, okay, when my lease is up, I'm going to look for other neighborhoods. So people who aren't Muslim might have that same feeling. And it's not, you know, out of hatred or bigotry or whatever. It's just like, yeah, I don't want to hear that. And when that happens, more Muslims will take the place of those people who move out. And this has been happening in Dearborn, Michigan, for years. It's majority Arab and Muslim now. And the Somali community, as we know, has a stronghold in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so much so that the Democrat government is, you know, fighting for the right to defraud American taxpayers. Mayor Fry says that, you know, Somali Independence Day is his favorite day of the year. Whatever. I mean, this is what's happening, right? A Muslim was elected mayor in New York City, and now New Yorkers will hear the call to prayer. And certainly, like, you can't go to the mayor and say, hey, I don't like this. He's gonna tell you to F off, right? So again, more Muslims will inevitably move in. And then where does that leave other communities? White people, black people, Jewish people, Christians. And the left doesn't give a rip. The left would call me racist for even asking that question. And America is a melting pot. That's what we say. That this is one of the greatest things about America. America is a melting pot. People from all over the place, they become American under our flag. New York City certainly is a melting pot. All these different cultures, and that can be a wonderful thing. Great music, food, arts. Except the melting pot isn't melting anymore. It's separating like oil and water. And immigration is a wonderful gift. Not a right, but a privilege, especially if you're moving to the United States of America. But immigrants who refuse to assimilate don't want to become part of the United States of America. They want the United States of America to bend to them. That's like barging into someone else's home and squatting. That's not how this works. And it wouldn't work that way if Americans went to any other country. And I don't know if that's just because we have a culture of respect. But don't you think that even when you travel, you try to figure out the language a little bit, you try to understand their laws, you try to understand their customs, that you're, you know, a good visitor, a good guest, a respectful guest? They don't feel that way coming here.

You know, some people are a little rude when you don't try to speak their language and you come at them with, hey, I got a question. And then the Middle east, they just chop your hands off.

Yeah, exactly. I have heard that when Americans are backpacking, they'll put the Canadian flag on their backpack or something so that people treat them better because Americans get rude.

Yeah, I haven't heard that, because Canada's really, you know, it's one of the only neutral. Yeah, like. Well, it's neutral, but, like, we could pass as Canadians, you know? So if you're just looking at us, it's like, okay, yeah, I guess we could be Canadian too. So that's a way to get, I guess, more respect. People in Europe or other places, I guess, don't really take kindly to American tourists. And isn't that sad because we had all these people here for the World cup and everyone was so thrilled with us and said that we were so nice and kind. And then we go elsewhere and everyone hates us. It's crazy. Anyway, choice hotels get you more of what you value comfort in. It's calling your name. Save on the stay. Oh, and free waffles are yours to claim. Book direct at storm. Moving on to the tragic death of Nolan Wells. You've probably seen this on your ex timeline on the news. This is certainly going viral now. And this is Nolan Wells. Nolan Xavier Wells. He's 18 years old, a college football player at Southwest Mississippi Community College. And he spent 4th of July boating with his friends off of Horn Island. And he was last seen around 3pm on the northwest end of the island wearing blue swim trunks and sunglasses. And his friends returned to the mainland without him. They just assumed that he got another ride. He went into another friend's boat, but he had left his phone on their boat, so they had no way of contacting him, no way of figuring out whether or not he did for sure get on another boat home. And they all got home and realized, oh, he's not with us. Nolan's not with us. And his mother reported him missing that night, which kicked off a search for law enforcement, coast guard volunteers. And he went missing on July 4th. And unfortunately, on July 6th in the morning, a park ranger found his body, it was in shallow water and it was confirmed that it was Nolan Wells via dental records. DNA and the family did identify the body. And the Mississippi sheriff overseeing the case said that detectives haven't found evidence of a crime at this point. And this is tragic. Anytime a young person loses their life, it's tragic, seemingly preventable. And the discourse about this online is tragic in its own way. This is a black man who says he doesn't trust his kids around white people. Watch.

This is really sad to Hear that in 2026, there are people who don't want their kids to be friends with certain people of certain skin colors and you don't trust them automatically. Like, even if he said too, like, even if I'm cool with the parents. So it's like, so you're cool with these people. You know them, you like them, but you don't trust them. And this has been the narrative online, at least in the black community. Someone else on X said this. So this 18 year old boy went boating with his quote, friends yesterday. Everyone made it back safely except him. And y' all know exactly which one it is. Yes, the only black boy. This don't even add up to me insinuating that basically his white friends might have had something to do with his death. And there are more posts like this. Someone else on X said, stop being the only black person going on trips with all white people. Someone else said, they are not his friends. Lock them up. They killed him. And someone else said, it's called murder. The privileged whites never get charged. Again. All of this is assumption, despite that not being what the authorities are saying. The authorities are saying they haven't seen any foul play. But again, this is all up in the air. We don't know. Someone else posted this. What's more likely? Black kid drowns or his white best friends pulled off a Jordan Peele movie plot by pretending to be his friend for years just to lure him to an island to kill him. Yeah. And it makes you think, you know, I see this story and you hope that it's an accident, right? You hope that it's an accident. You hope that there was no foul play, whatever that may be, whether it's his friends turning on him, or maybe he got into a fight with someone else, or. I don't know. But you wouldn't expect his friends to turn on him in that way. And if they were friends with him, are they really racist? Like, would they really want to kill him in that, you know, Jordan Peele type movie plot? Like, get out. So details will come out in this story. We don't know what happened to this young man except for the fact that he drowned. Or maybe he was a drowning. He was found in a. In the water, but we don't know. And all I know is that there is a young man who will never go home again. That is tragic. But I don't want to make this about race. I'm going to make it about biological sex. I see a lot of similarities between this case and the disappearance of Riley Strain. And if you're not familiar with that case, Riley Strain went missing in Nashville while I was living there. This was maybe a year and a half ago, two years ago now. And this was a huge story at the time. I don't know if it was just huge to me because it was happening in our city at the time, but I would scroll on Tick tock and everyone was talking about the Riley Strain case. Maybe that was just my algorithm because I was living there. But if you don't know the story, Riley strain was a 22 year old college student at the University of Missouri. And he is his. He and his fraternity brothers went to Nashville together on a trip and of course they're out drinking. And he got kicked out of Luke Bryan's bar for being too drunk. And when he got kicked out, none of his friends went with him. You know, when you get kicked out of a bar, it's like you have to make a decision. Am I going home or are we going to try and get into the next bar? Right, but in the case of Riley Strain, he got kicked out of his bar. Apparently he was too drunk and none of his friends cared to leave the bar with him. They all stayed at the bar while he drunkenly attempt to walk back to his hotel alone. And he got lost. He walked in the wrong direction. And he was seen on security cam footage running alongside the Cumberland River. And a cop even stopped to talk to him. There's body cam footage of a cop being like, hey, man, like, are you good? And he's like, yeah. And then he was found floating in the river two weeks later. During those two weeks, they found his ID on the riverbank, but when he was found, he wasn't wearing any pants or shoes, just his shirt. And people thought that there was foul play there, but officials. The official story is he got drunk and high, fell into the river and drowned. Like, the autopsy report came back and he was. He had alcohol in his system, and I think he had some sort of like Delta 9 or THC something in his system. Whether that was a drink or he was smoking, I don't know. But he fell into the river and drowned. And if you know anything about the Cumberland river, there's a pretty gnarly current and the fact that he was found without his pants off. The authorities said that that was because of the current, but I don't know. Again, I thought that there might have been foul play there. There's a lot of homeless people that live on the riverbank, but it would be very, very difficult to fall into the river, in my opinion. But what do I know, right? That was the official story. And the link between these two cases is the friends and what role do they play. And I want to be very clear, I'm not accusing the friends of any wrongdoing or foul play. But I will say women do not let their friends go off alone. Largely, people joke about girls nights and women going to the bathroom in packs and, you know, the buddy system. And women might not be aware of this, but subconsciously this is a safety measure. When women are in bars or in any drinking setting, we instinctively deploy the body system system. Women know that there is a risk of getting drugged and then something potentially worse by someone at a bar. That is a very real fear. And that can happen to men, too. But I think there's an assumption that guys will just be okay, oh, he got drunk, he can walk home, he can go by himself, he can take care of himself. But men can be drugged, too. Men are victims of crimes, too. And it's not gay, it's not feminine to check in on your friends and make sure that they get home okay. If a friend of mine is getting too drunk, someone in the group will always go Home with her always. Like, if you're in a group of five girls, one girl's too drunk. Whoever is the least drunk and whoever is the most responsible at the time is going to say, hey, you guys stay out. I'm going to go home with her. But you would never leave your drunk friend alone. And I don't know, like, I'm not trying to cast. I'm not trying to judge, because I don't know if Riley strains. Friends knew that he got kicked out. Like, maybe he got kicked out and they just thought he was in the bathroom, and then they got drunk, and who knows? Like, I'm not saying that they're bad people. I'm just saying that they need to be better friends. If one of my friends got kicked out of a bar, my night is over. My night does not continue without my friend. That's like an unspoken rule. And would you agree? Like, I don't know. I feel like you're a very good person. You guys are very good people. Is there an assumption that guys will just be okay? Like, if. If one of your friends got kicked out of a bar, would you just be like, okay, see you tomorrow?

We would have a quick powwow, and if he said, I'm good, I'm gonna go back to hotel there. Especially if he's familiar with Nashville. I don't know that. I mean, if he's, like, belligerently drunk, I don't think the group would allow that. Somebody would probably walk him back and then come. Come back out. But some people are better at hiding it than others, right?

Like, you don't know how drunk they are.

Correct. I mean, there's definitely a different stigma of, hey, I'm gonna walk back to the hotel as a grown male versus a woman versus a woman.

Like, I would never let my friend go walk to the hotel alone. If a guy told me, like, hey, I'm gonna go back to the hotel, I wonder. I'm like, would I just assume that he would be okay? And I don't think that we should assume that men are always okay. They're not always okay. Men could be murder victims. They can be date rape victims. Like, this happens. It's not just, you know, women stick together because I think we know that bad things can happen. I think men sort of operate under this notion that, I'll be okay. But if you're drunk, like, you probably wouldn't fight off an attacker as well as you would have been. And that's why I think it's better to deploy the buddy System. Women are very good at the buddy

system in both these cases. I do think it is a maybe they did, but to not immediately follow up.

That type of thing is. I agree with what you're saying, is that that's the part that makes them not great friends to just let them the no follow up.

I agree with that. And friends don't let friends walk around at night alone. Friends don't assume that friends got home okay. You know, friends check in on each other. So in the case of Nolan Wells, I'm assuming that the kids were drinking on the boat. It's a bunch of college kids on fourth of July weekend. Like, I'm assuming that everyone's drunk and it's not uncommon to go, you know, tie up a bunch of boats and wander around and socialize. Like, I've done this and like, I've gone away from the boat that I came on, but I'm always with a friend. That's the difference. I've never considered drinking and wandering off alone or wandering off with a stranger ever. And again, I'm not blaming this. This boy. I'm so sorry that he's not here. I'm so sorry for his family, and I'm not even blaming his friends. I'm simply pointing out the difference between male and female friendships and I think how the female brain is wired to catastrophize, and that is life saving. It could be life saving. So I wonder, when did Nolan's friends realize he was gone? Right? Did he tell them, hey, I'm going here? I'm assuming because he didn't take his phone with him, which is totally normal, by the way. If you're on a boat and you're going to be swimming or something, you leave your phone on the boat. Like, duh.

But that means that you're coming back to the boat. You had every intention of coming back to the boat. I don't think that he would take another ride home without his phone. Like, it's 20, 26. I don't think that people are really doing that. And I think that the friends would, knowing that they can't get in touch with Nolan, like, call someone that he might be with, call one of their other friends. Hey, is Nolan on your boat? We're about to. We're about to head out.

The powwow is. Is important to the male group. You have to have the powwow before you bounce. And it seems that both these groups did not get together and confirm what the plan was. You're correct.

It's a guy thing to do. And I think that maybe these stories should maybe awaken something in men and boys and college kids. Like, just because you're a man, I know that you're strong. I know that you're capable. This is not to say that, like, men are weak and need help, but everyone needs help sometimes. Like, it's not an emasculating thing to check in on your friends and make sure that they're going to get home alive. Like, be a protector, you know? And sometimes your friends need protecting. Your fellow men need protecting. I genuinely cannot fathom taking a boat somewhere and leaving without your friend when the friend's phone is on the boat and not trying to get in contact with him somehow. You're. I'm assuming I've never been to Horn Island. I'm assuming that the boats are all tied up somewhere. Wouldn't you start screaming his name? Wouldn't you ask people if you've seen him? I just don't understand not trying to. Like, they just assumed that he was okay. I don't know. It just makes me so upset that they. They didn't communicate. And Nolan didn't have even have his phone to call for help. Like, let's say he took his phone with him and, you know, he's waiting in the water and he just had his phone out. I mean, technically, if he got in any sort of trouble, he could have called 91 1. You know, hopefully if he had service. But he could have called someone to let them know, like, hey, I didn't get on a boat or anything like that. I don't get that you got to figure out where your friend is, but this is not a race thing. This is an accountability thing. And people need to be better friends. I say people, because this is not male. This is not female. People need to be better friends, be better friends, check in on people. There's this assumption that men are going to be okay. They're going to figure it out. Don't assume that guys are okay just because they're guys. Bad things can happen to anyone. Don't leave without people. It just makes me so sad. So we'll stay on this case and see if any more details come out. Obviously, unfortunately, he is. He has passed. He. We'll figure out what happened. Hopefully more details come out. But they've, you know, they've asked the friends questions. And they just said, yeah, we thought that he got a ride home. So, so sad. So, so sad. But honestly, even more sad that people on the Internet are making this about race. Like his friends are white, therefore they did this to him or they had something to do with his death. When you know, Riley Strain was a white kid and his friends were also not the best friends to him that night. Is that because they're white? Okay. I'm thinking if this is an agree okay. There are times when I do 75 hard and I'm not drinking for three months. I go out to dinner with a friend, if she has two glasses of wine, I'm not going to be like, let's take our separate. I'm just going to be like, just split it. It's okay. But to your point, if it's a group and someone has, you know, 15 drinks. Okay. But then again, I think in that situation someone puts it on their Credit card. No, I'm not going to nickel and dime my friends. I think that people who are nickel and dimers are actually annoying to go out with. I would rather just split the bill. Within reason. Within reason. If someone is having 15 drinks, okay, then we have to have a conversation. But if it's like one or two drinks, I would just split it for the sake of being easy, easygoing. Can we talk about the G.L.P. one of it all? That's not my problem. If you don't eat that much like what you ordered, you ordered what you were gonna order.

It's the, like, Ozempic Tirzepatide, the weight loss drugs that make you not eat the. Eat that much. Okay. If this were a communal meal with shared appetizers, entrees, and a bottle of wine, then your friend's request to pay a quarter of the bill wasn't really fair. Agreed. Menu prices are fixed regardless of appetite. Agreed. And the cost of a shared experience doesn't shrink because one person ate less. Agreed. But if your friend said up front she wasn't eating much, ordered accordingly, and the bill reflected two very different individual orders, then pushing back was the wrong move. I agree with that. I think we came up with the same thing that she said.

You gave me breaking news today and I did not ask for it. And this is the craziest news story I've ever seen in my whole life. So this is scrolling with Haley's breaking news.

This is my headline that stopped my scroll, if you will. Arsonist cuts off penis, then uses it to start a blaze in neighbor's garage. Okay, the New York Post, they always have some, like, witty things. His arson plan is a bunch of junk.

[Co-host]

Haha.

[Haley]

A firebug in Indiana cut off his own penis, dumped gasoline on it, and then used it to light a blaze inside a neighbor's garage. Christopher Peden, 36, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, allegedly copped to giving himself the shaft after first claiming he was stabbed. According to court documents, he told cops that he harmed himself inside the garage cutting off his penis with a kitchen knife. On May 6, he poured gasoline on his severed genital genitals and set it on fire on the floor of the garage just inside the door. When he later ran into police, he claimed he had been slashed in the city's downtown area. Okay. But he soon copped, being dishonest about the stabbing and told investigators that he wanted to be truthful. Investigators collected evidence from the garage, including a red plastic gas container, four lighters, and a kitchen knife. And he was charged with arson and is due in court next week. Worst neighbor ever. Worst neighbor ever award. What did the neighbor do to deserve that? Or do you think that this guy is a total loon?

You're having parties in front of my mailbox for almost half a year. But it did not drive me to this. I just would knock on their door.

[Haley]

I'm happy to hear that. This would be. Someone is really being set to the edge. I think they're really, really pushed to the edge.

I'm glad he came clean to the police. He wanted to be truthful.

[Haley]

I want to know, though, what made him cut off his own penis to get his neighbor? Like, wouldn't that do more harm to you than to your neighbor? And to find just a burnt penis in Your garage got him the neighbor joke. As traumatizing as that may be, the neighbor will get over that. He will never get his penis back. Or maybe they. I mean, they've got crazy trans surgeries now. They could probably put it back together. I don't know how.

I think that's where the is he crazy factor kind of comes in. Because there's the. So much that goes into that half of the story. Mentally.

Not great. That is because we. We covered this on the show. Maybe it was last week, but the crazy schizophrenic guy that had a blowtorch and was blowtorching his neighbor's door.

Yeah. It turns out there's way more bad neighbors than I anticipated.

Yeah. And remember I said the. The. I really have been very blessed with neighbors, but the one neighbor that gave us issues was a woman who had a very dirty apartment. And her cockroach situation became our cockroach situation. I didn't like that too much. But this.

You think about cutting off a finger in her apartment.

[Haley]

No, because I don't want to do harm to myself to get at someone else. That's. You couldn't find. He couldn't find anything else to light on fire? He couldn't take the shirt off of his back and light it on fire.

Like, if you. If you want to set something ablaze in your neighbor's garage, you couldn't even. You don't even have to set anything of your own ablaze.

You're just taking some of the wall.

[Haley]

Yeah. Just find something in their garage and light it on fire.

I don't know. That doesn't make any sense.

Someone in the chat said we can rebuild it. Build back better. You know, that's what they say. Yeah, that's what they say. So. Yeah, so that was the headline that stopped my scroll. There was another one, too, about a flight pilot that jumped out of the plane to his death and then just told the student, you know what to do, and just killed himself. So I was thinking about that being my headline that stopped my scroll, and I was like, that's a little dark.

Yeah, I'm kind of waiting on some more information because I don't want to make fun of somebody. No serious meant. But yeah, that whole story is out there.

I couldn't imagine being the student.
