Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills, but it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mintmobile.com Switch upfront payment

This is scrolling with Hayley. Wow. My name is Haley Caradilla. What is cern? What are they doing? What's happening now that it's turned off? And what is the Internet saying about it all? We're about to get into that and so much more. On today's show I am answering some audience questions and giving advice to those who asked on my Instagram story. So, brand new segment. I will say some people did not understand the assignment, but it's okay. It was the first time. But I'm going to try to get to as many as I can. Uh, but before all of that, I just want to tell you to subscribe to the show rumble.com Haley brings you to the on Dina Report channel. That's where you can watch the show live Monday through Friday at noon Eastern time. And I hope that you do. I know all of you in the live chat right now, I don't have to tell you twice. But for everyone else listening, maybe on a podcast platform, I urge you to come listen on Rumble. But I don't care how you watch or listen. All I care about is that you watch the show and that you tell a friend, share on social media, do all the things like everything, subscribe, all the buttons that you can push. I appreciate. So let's get into the show. Okay, so what is cern? Right? CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear Research. It is the world's large particle largest particle physics laboratory and it is located on the France Switzerland border near Geneva, down underground. So what do they do? They run tests. And there are thousands of scientists and researchers who are a part of this. They built a machine called the Large Hadron Hadron Collider. It is the largest particle colliding machine in the world. And essentially I'm dumbing this down for myself because I'm not a scientist. But scientists smash particles together at lightning speed and it is this huge underground tunnel and they study the fundamental building blocks of the universe. And the Internet was actually invented at CERN so that scientists could communicate with one another. And they've been making other discoveries for years now. Again, do I understand all of the science behind this? No, absolutely not. But that's not what we're talking about today. CERN and that big particle machine is shut down right now. It is in long shutdown three for maintenance and for upgrades. And it will be shut down until 2030. These are shutdowns because they are going to upgrade the machine. They are going to make the machine, I guess, better. And basically for these next four years, they're going to be doing these upgrades. And all the upgrades are going to be necessary for what they have planned in 2030, which will basically be a new and improved version of the machine that can produce 10 times more atom collisions. And CERN has been shut down before. There was a long shutdown for two years between 2013 and 2015. And then long shutdown two was three and a half years long. It wasn't supposed to be that long, but it was delayed a little bit during COVID that long shutdown 2 was between 2018 and 2022. Now it's shut down again. Now the official story is that this has no impact on humanity. Whether this machine is shut down or turned on doesn't impact humans, doesn't impact how we feel, doesn't impact the environment, nothing. But people on the Internet are having doubts about that. Some people say that when CERN shuts on and off, we jump timelines, which explains why there are so many Mandela effects or people remembering things differently and people are noticing differences in how they feel, how the clouds look, animals, etc. So this has been all over my for you page lately. Take a look.
Unidentified CERN Enthusiast
So CERN is this the biggest manufactured human built machine that basically is like underground and it is ginormous and it runs in this big circle and basically they have two tubes inside of it and put atoms that go like this, right? And then they push them at the speed of light so they crash in together and then blow up and then look into it. Okay, that's basically like the main basic version of what this is. It's underground in Geneva, Switzerland. It's like, oh, I think it's like 200km underground. I don't know, something like that. And it is ginormous. It is the biggest man made machine, what I believe and a lot of people believe, but apparently some people on the Internet don't know how to use Google or do any sort of research on their own is that every time that CERN shuts down, the we are jumping timelines. Okay, so, like when CERN is essentially messing with space and time and they're opening these little. They call them microscopic black holes that can be safely closed. But essentially what it's doing and what we all think it's doing is it's opening up portals to jump between space and time. And when it shuts down, you know
Mandela Effect Commentator
why they shut down CERN for four years? It's not why you think every time they started CERN up, something crazy would happen. It seemed like every time they powered on the Large Hadron Collider, or LHC for short, there would be a new Mandela effect that popped up. Most recent Mandela effect everyone noticed was this. Charlie and the chocolate factory all remember Charlie opening up a chocolate bar to give to his family when it was a dud that didn't have the golden ticket. When people go back to rewatch it, he opens up a moon pie. That never happened. At least not in the timeline before CERN started. Apparently when CERN opens back up in 2030 are literally going to double the amount of experiments, which means we can expect all new shifts in our reality and way more Mandela effects. As always, thank you for watching. Stay weird.
Co-host/Commentator
Welcome back to the timeline where the sun is yellow and the Fruit of the Loom logo has a cornucopia and the evil queen says mirror, mirror on the wall. Fairest of them all. You had to go on a little detour timeline for a little bit, but you're back.
Mandela Effect Commentator
Welcome back.
Co-host/Commentator
We missed you.
Ryan Reynolds
Am I the only one that has noticed since CERN has went offline the changes that have happened? I mean, the Fruit of the Loom cornucopia is now all of a sudden back. Chick Fil a is now C H I C K again instead of C H I C. Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan is back and alive for some reason after CERN shut down. But one that has me really tripping out is Bewitched. Now, I'm a Gen X. I watched Bewitched growing up with my parents. But if you remember, she twitched her nose and made things happen. Now she moves and twitches her mouth. The Energizer Bunny. Have you seen the new Energizer Bunny Bunny mascot? That thing is creepy as all get out. Time has slowed down again. Remember, time was going by really fast. Things were accelerated. Now time has eased back. And I. I've talked to people that are reporting. No more Lucid dreams, no more headaches. Can we just keep CERN off, like, for good?
Haley Caradilla
Okay, so this is what the Internet's saying, right? Do I think that CERN shutting on and shutting off is having an impact on us millions and millions of miles away? No, I don't. I don't think that this has any impact. But people in the comments of all of these videos were saying that, well, some were agreeing, some weren't on the Willy Wonka thing. People are like, you're just remembering this wrong. He did have a moon pie. Whether it you're remembering the first movie or the second movie, the remake with Johnny Depp or not. So people are debunking that the one that gets me this Mandela effect is the Chick Fil A. Because I firmly remember it being C H I C. I can't hear you in my ear.
Co-host/Commentator
I totally agree.
Haley Caradilla
Oh, I can hear you now, so. And then I also remember it being C H I K. But I knew that chick was spelled wrong. It wasn't spelled like chicken. And maybe you guys can tell me in the chat if you agree with me, but I never thought that Chick Fil a was C H I C K. I believe that that's how it's spelled now, but I think that they changed it. The company says no, same with Fruit of the Loom. Fruit of the Loom says nobody ever came up with a Cornucopia logo. Like, we're all crazy. I firmly remember a Fruit of the Loom cornucopia in the logo. But people are saying now that trolley gummy worms have eyes. Now, I never remembered that. And basically these Mandela effects are phenomenon where people share a collective function, false memory. And they say that this misconception likely stems from our brains associated or this is like the what the Fruit of the Loom company said that we associate fruit with cornucopias. So therefore that's why we remember it. And it's. I don't believe that at all. Do you remember the Fruit of the Loom logo, the Cornucopia? Because I do. And I feel like a crazy person
Co-host/Commentator
definitely got a Cornucopia.
Haley Caradilla
I agree with that. And I don't know what the company would benefit from lying. Like, what would they. What would they get from lying?
Co-host/Commentator
Maybe it was a rebrand and there was an older logo.
Haley Caradilla
But why wouldn't you just come out and say, yeah, we changed it.
Co-host/Commentator
Companies press is good. Press.
Haley Caradilla
Companies change their logos all the time. Someone in the chat said Berenstain vs. Berenstain bears. Yeah, exactly. So we see a lot of these in pop culture. And someone else said, what I'm curious about, though, is if Mandela effects have been exclusive to us in America, which is. Or if other countries experience them too, or have noticed any. It just. It does seem like an American thing. And I don't know if that's just because I communicate with Americans and I'm American. So my algorithm is mostly America or content from American creators. I don't know. But these are some of the things that people in the comment section were saying were happening to them, that they were noticing these differences in themselves and in the environment. Someone said, does the air not smell different? It smells nostalgic and natural all of a sudden. Sudden. Someone said, I can't stop sleeping. I feel like I've been napping more often. But I think that's because of my own poor sleeping habits, not because of, you know, CERN shutting down. Someone else said, the birds are back. Morning birds are back. Are you hearing more birds chirping? I don't know. I have been hearing more crickets, but then again, it's summertime. So then someone else said, mushrooms are in the yard again. People are saying that clouds look different, there are no trails. Lightning bugs. People are seeing lightning bugs again. Again. I think a lot of these changes that people are seeing is because it's summer. Now. Someone in that video or one of the guys in that. In that montage said that the days feel longer or time is going slower. Yeah, it's the summer. The days are longer. The days are longer. So I think a lot of this is just sort of this collective phenomenon where people just think, oh, yeah, I haven't been sleeping well, too. Oh, I haven't been sleeping well, too. And then they come together and everyone has this collective memory, but it's really not related to cern. It's just because everyone's experiencing the same thing. And maybe there are environmental factors for this. There are a lot of women on TikTok who are saying that their menstrual cycles are completely messed up. And that was happening during COVID by the way, and the COVID vaccine. And everyone called me crazy for not wanting to get the vaccine. But I said, I do not want to mess with. With my menstrual cycle. I do not want to mess with my fertility. I'm not getting this thing because it just wasn't studied, so I wasn't going to get it. And I have no regrets. No regrets not getting the COVID vaccine. Not a one. But people are saying now that since this CERN shut down, which doesn't really make sense because CERN shut down on June 28 and people were saying that their menstrual cycles were really messed up in the month of June. And I saw someone in the chat yesterday ask me about this because their daughter was going through it when I. And they said, please look into this because a lot of women on TikTok are talking about this. I've seen this too. I've seen this too. I can't relate personally, but I will definitely keep my eyes and ears out. I don't think it's CERN related, but I think there's something certainly environmental going on that people are experiencing. And, you know, I've even seen videos on TikTok now of women who are menopausal or perimenopausal and they are getting pregnant in their 40s and 50s. So again, I don't think that it's CERN necessarily, but I think we should be paying attention to changes in our bodies always. And I think nowadays with, I think with the Maha movement, people are really. They have their eyes open to the environment and certain endocrine disruptors and ways that the environment and food that we're eating can impact us a great deal. So maybe it's something to do with that. I don't know. But I'm willing to dig. I'm willing to dig in and ask the questions for sure. So I'll. I'll, I'll stay on this. Quick, before we get to the ad break here, I want to ask you what Mandela effects you remember, because for me, it's Berenstain. Berenstain Bears. I, the. I firmly remember the Fruit of the Lord, Fruit of the Loom in the Cornucopia, in that logo. The Monopoly man with the monocle. I always thought that he had a little glasses thing, but remember the company came out and said. No, no, no, you're remembering the Planter's peanut guy. Have you heard about this? The Duracell bunny. Now it's. It's not the Energizer bunny. Yeah. This is apparently a new one, a new Mandela effect now that CERN has shut off and on again. I don't know. Do you remember any others that from your childhood?
Co-host/Commentator
Pikachu's tail.
Haley Caradilla
Oh, yeah. With the black on the end.
Co-host/Commentator
Black. And then the dash between KitKat.
Haley Caradilla
Oh, does it not have a dash?
Co-host/Commentator
I. Hold on. Now I have to look.
Haley Caradilla
I remember there being a dash in between KitKat. It was a small dash.
Co-host/Commentator
Yeah. So there's a dash. Some people think that there's.
Haley Caradilla
There's no dash. Okay. Yeah. People in the chat are saying, yeah, monocle, Baron, Stain, Chick Fil. A Pokemon. Yep. Yep. So we're all on the same page here, I think. I don't know. Do you think it's these companies changing their logos and then just messing with us, or do you really think that there's a bigger conspiracy here where the government changes these things to see how gullible we are or something like that? Do you think it's deeper like that? Or is it just something like we're all collectively stupid?
Co-host/Commentator
Got to be collectively stupid. But also, it's all things that are from, like, childhood.
Grace
Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
So maybe we just don't remember it that well. That could be too. I don't know. But some people, they have proof. Like, I've seen Reddit threads of people with Fruit of the Loom clothing that has a cornucopia in the logo. And Fruit of the Loom came out and said, no, that's counterfeit stuff.
Co-host/Commentator
That's the one. But what me?
Haley Caradilla
What would be the purpose of coming out with counterfeit Fruit of the Loom cornucopia stuff?
Co-host/Commentator
Just to get you.
Haley Caradilla

Watch if Trans women are not real women.
Haley Caradilla
Then why is it that my vagina
Co-host/Commentator
having ass had to go get a prescription
Haley Caradilla
for a yeast infection?
Co-host/Commentator
Common thing happens to three out of every four women. So guess that includes trans women. So how's that for our. That, that basic biology? You?
Haley Caradilla
Because the biology tells me, yeah, yeah, I am a real woman. Debatable. Not even debatable. Just absolutely not. And men can get yeast infections too. These are fungal infections caused by an overgrowth of yeast. This can happen to men and women. And he's not special, right? He's not special. He's not getting this because he's a woman. This can happen between anything from poor hygiene to uncontrolled diabetes, antibiotic use, a weakened immune system, a bunch of things, obesity, wearing tight clothing, excessive sweating. And people in the comments were very quick to set this guy straight, saying, you do realize that yeast infections aren't exclusive to women. Baby diaper rashes are caused by yeast too. Does that make you a baby?
Grace
Of course not.
Haley Caradilla
It does not make him a baby. And having a yeast infection does not make him a woman. Yeast is a fungus. Doesn't care if you're a man or a woman or a unicorn or a candy corn. Someone said. Someone else said men also get yeast infections. It's not an infection that defines your gender. It's biology. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. This is the problem. Right therein lies the problem. When we get into biology, the trans folks, they have a very difficult time understanding that. That's why he doesn't understand this. The trans community denies biology every single day, and they want to get everyone else on board. My favorite thing about when trans, I don't even know what is it when it's a guy that becomes a girl. Trans woman. This is how, like, people yell at me in the chat sometimes when I, like, misgender or I like, say, and I'm like, I have no idea what's going on.
Co-host/Commentator
They can our best.
Haley Caradilla
I'm doing my best. I don't try to understand what's going on. A trans woman, okay, so like a man. Every time a man gets on Tick Tock or Instagram and they put out one of these stupid videos where they try to, like, mansplain a vagina that they don't have. Women, women are very quick to defend themselves. Like, even leftist women get very, very pissed off by this. And I do love to see all the women in the comment section setting the record straight, because these people, I mean, they're just living in a false reality. It's Insane. Other people living in a false reality are Swifties. The fans of Taylor Swift, of course. Her wedding happened 4th of July weekend, Madison Square Garden, one night only, one night only. And this is the scariest thing I've ever seen. So Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey, they're getting married inside this arena. And I had all these barricades set up, obviously, because, you know, her fans are lunatics. And they are so crazy that they are standing outside the venue just trying to get a glimpse of Taylor on her wedding day. But this is the crazy part. Wedding guests started coming out of Madison Square Garden and giving out leftover food and desserts to the people standing out front. Watch this. They're screaming,
Co-host/Commentator
I don't care.
Haley Caradilla
It's Taylor's best food. Isn't that disturbing?
Co-host/Commentator
Guys have some class.
Haley Caradilla
Not even class. Like you are mentally ill. If you are. They're screaming over, like, food and they're ripping it apart and they're trying to take it from each other. What is going on?
Co-host/Commentator
What if it's that good?
Haley Caradilla
This is like the let them eat cake kind of a thing where the billionaire is getting married and all the peasants are outside just begging for a morsel of food. It's like, I can't believe this is happening. 2026. These people are nuts.
Co-host/Commentator
These Swifties.
Haley Caradilla
It's just a croissant.
Co-host/Commentator
If they could channel their swifty intuition and we could solve so many world problems. Some of these people are geniuses with these Easter eggs and finding out where she is and what she's doing, like.
Haley Caradilla
Well, speaking of solving all the world's problems, you know, a lot of these people, not Taylor Swift fans necessarily, but people who hate billionaires, are really mad at Taylor Swift because she donated 26. What was it? $26 million. Okay, they're mad. Do you have the video? Okay, this woman, she's mad at Taylor Swift for donating. She didn't donate enough. Watch.
Financial Analyst/Commentator
Why are we hearing about this 26 million as though it's anything to her? Because I just searched. Their combined wealth as of mid-2026 is $2.2 billion. And so I said, well, how much is 26 million to someone whose net worth is 2.2 billion? And can you explain it comparatively? For someone who earns maybe 50k a year in America, 26 million against a 2.2 billion dollar net worth works out to 0.0118 of a percent. It is 100th of a percent of their wealth. So if someone's earning 50 grand a year, which I think you would Say a lot of people are in America and they want to plan a wedding and they want to throw a big party. How much do you think those people are spending on their wedding? Like 5k, 10k? This is. You would be spending comparatively $5.90. So relative to their fortune, 26 million is a cup of coffee to someone on a 50k salary. So they essentially donated a cup of coffee.
Haley Caradilla
These people will not be happy until Taylor Swift is homeless, on the street begging for food outside of a wedding. Like until she is on their level financially, they will never be happy. They are unhappy that a billionaire donated $26 million. That's a lot of money to donate. They should be grateful. Oh, this person has a lot of money and they're donating some of their wealth to whatever causes they see fit. And that is Taylor Swift's, right. I hate when they, these people are so crazy. They make me side with Taylor Swift because I don't like her. But sometimes these people are so insane. What would they like her to do? They want her to be poor. They want her to be homeless. They're socialists. They want, they want. They don't think that Taylor Swift should have the money that she has. She earned it. But they think that if you are able to earn that money in the United States that you should just automatically give it away. That's what, that's what would make them happy. If she gave away. If she's 2.2. If she and Travis have $2.2 billion net worth, by the way, if they donated $2 billion, let's say, which is not how it works. But like what you want them to be poor now? Like they, they have respective great careers. Why can't they, why can't they enjoy the fruits of their labor? I don't understand.
Co-host/Commentator
I'm a Taylor Swift fence writer. I do enjoy her music. Her fans kind of give me the ick.
Grace
Yeah.
Co-host/Commentator
But it is very wishy washy. Like she is the ultimate girl boss. She has earned everything she, she's worked for, everything she's earned. Also she is a tyrant and she give it all away. And you can't have it both ways.
Haley Caradilla
You can't have it both ways.
Co-host/Commentator
You just let her, let her do her deal.
Haley Caradilla
I'm, I hate that I'm defending her, but it's like let the girl live. She's a rich girl. She obviously, I don't know why she's as rich as she is. I again, I don't see it. But there are people, there is a market for her and for her music. And she has made a ton of money. And good for her. Like, I'm not going to hate on her for that. She's a marketing genius. I think that her merch is ugly and her songs aren't that great and she steals a lot of melodies and stuff, whatever. Right? Do you. But I'm never going to take it away from her that she's a hard worker and she earned that money. So I don't deserve anything that Taylor Swift made for herself. Like, but that's how. That's their mentality. Like, Taylor Swift should give this to me. Why? You didn't earn it.
Co-host/Commentator
You didn't write 1989.
Haley Caradilla
Right? It's crazy. It's just absolutely crazy. This next video, this is a. This is a baby Trump. Watch. He does have the, the hand motions down. He's got the squint. He's got a little orange tan going. And he's got a little comb over, like a little orange comb over. Very handsome baby. If I will. If I do say so myself, I'm sure President Trump would think the same thing. And the people who posted that video, they are not Trump supporters. They're upset that their baby looks like
Co-host/Commentator
Trump and devastated, if you will.
Haley Caradilla
People in the comments were saying, has he closed the borders of her uterus yet? Other people were saying, put it back, get a new one. And, yeah, don't let him know about politics. His first words are going to be, quite frankly, I mean, at least they. They had enough humor to post it. They can't be that. I mean, you could hate President Trump, but I think it's pretty funny that their baby looks like Trump.
Co-host/Commentator
He's just a kid.
Haley Caradilla
He's just a kid. He's going to grow out of it. Babies don't even look like themselves. Like, babies don't even look like anything. They look like little aliens. And then they grow up, and then, you know, in six months are going to look totally different. In a year, they're going to look totally different. So maybe he'll look. Maybe he'll grow up to look like Trump. Maybe he'll grow into, you know, his own self. But I think he's very cute. That's. That's my opinion. We have a major literacy crisis in the United States. There are kids who can't read. And then those kids grow up, and now we have really dumb adults. Dumber than ever before, I would have to imagine. So watch this girl try to figure out what, what Ella Langley meant by her. He's choosing Texas Lyrics watch. So confused. I'm so confused. She's from Texas. I can tell Wait. She's from Texas. I can tell by the way I what is she saying? She's from Texas. I can tell by the way he's two stepping around the room. What is she saying? She's from Texas, I can tell. Tell by the way he's two stepping around the room. She's getting there.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
I'm confused.
Haley Caradilla
And yeah, it is that deep.
Co-host/Commentator
Because.
Haley Caradilla
It is.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
It just is.
Haley Caradilla
She's very confused this time.
Co-host/Commentator
She glitched.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, she's she's very confused. People in the comment section were saying all quiet on the frontal lobe. Shake your head and tell me if you hear rocks. No Child Left behind is doing great things again. I can see someone else said this child was left behind. As a future English teacher, I'm so scared. As a reading teacher, I'm exhausted. Is this why my double cheeseburger takes so long in the drive thru? And this is what I'd post when my rent is due and I need engagement insinuating that maybe this woman isn't that dumb, but she posted this video to get all these people in the comments angry. I would argue that she probably is that dumb and it's really not that hard to understand. She's from Texas. I can tell by the way he's two stepping around the room. Meaning the other girl that he's with that he likes better is teaching him how to Texas to step. And she even says in the in the song he doesn't like Tennessee. Like I tried to get him to like Tennessee and he's from Texas. She's from Texas. I could tell by the way he's two stepping around the room. He made his choice. He's to step in with the Texas girl, not the Tennessee girl. Duh. I didn't think it was. I didn't think it was that difficult. But this girl clearly needed some extra help. This girl too, she says she doesn't understand why people say I can't wait to marry you. Watch.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
5% sassy and 95% sincere when I ask this question. People who are engaged when they say can't wait to marry you. Like I see posts that say can't wait to marry you in 2027. What exactly are they getting at? Presumably, if you're engaged, most people at this point are already living with their significant other. So when they say can't wait to marry you, what are they thinking that getting married is going to give them that they don't already have or Are they saying they're excited for the wedding itself, which I'm sure is a piece of it, but, like, I need somebody to explain this to me. Like, I'm an alie. Because I think that the missing link that I have about this is the missing link that I have about why I feel so ambivalent about marriage in general. I try to under. I try to grasp it. I try to, like, picture myself in the position of being engaged and think like, oh, can't wait to marry you in 2027. I feel like I'm grasping at water. Like, what exactly is that getting you? Some key information is. I'm a child of divorce, so
Grace
maybe
Haley Caradilla
that has something to do with it. I'm a child of divorce, too, But I know what I can't wait to marry you means.
Co-host/Commentator
Welcome to secular hell.
Haley Caradilla
Like, okay, exactly. And there is absolutely a religious aspect to this. First, when she says, I don't understand what people mean when they say, I can't wait to marry you. Well, obviously, other people are excited to get married. Other people find their person and they are excited. They are looking forward to. They can't wait to marry that person. Not sure why she needs an explanation as if she's an alien. It's pretty simple. But to Justin's point, I think a lot of people don't put an emphasis on marriage. They are living together before getting married. So to her point, she thinks, what's the difference? Like, why is getting married so special? Well, for people who actually believe in marriage as a sacrament and a union and something that is biblical, then, yes, it is special and it is different, and it is something to look forward to. You're merging together as one. But I think a lot of people these days just get married because it's, like, the thing to do. And I think that girl falls into that category. Maybe not her specifically, but she's seeing all these people around her who are not getting married for the right reasons. And I'm assuming she's not religious at all, because I think if she was, she would understand that getting married to religious people is very exciting, and it's something to look forward to. But I. I guess she's gonna stay confused. I guess she's gonna stay confused.
Co-host/Commentator
There's a great fault of society and the church to allow marriage to mean anything other than what it is. Union.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, I agree.
Co-host/Commentator
Spiritual union.
Haley Caradilla
I agree with that. And again, to get married and to procreate, be fruitful and multiply, that's what it means. Yeah, that is what it means.
Co-host/Commentator
To make a family, have children and live in one.
Haley Caradilla
Exactly. But I don't think she reads the
Co-host/Commentator
Bible to combine finances.
Haley Caradilla
Right. And get tax revenue and, you know, make dinner together or whatever. She thinks, like, oh, these people already live together and they sleep in the same bed. So what's the difference? Well, for people who think of marriage the way that it was intended, it does mean something different. My friends who work with children sent me this video, and they said, it's totally crazy how this new generation is being raised completely different from how we were raised. And watch this video.
Co-host/Commentator
We'll.
Haley Caradilla
We'll discuss.
Grace
After growing up, my parents had us answer the landline like this. McCarrick residents, Grace speaking. Who is this, please? And if we weren't willing to do that, we weren't allowed to pick up the landline. When we walked into a party, we had to look the person in the eye who was hosting the party and say, thank you so much for having me. When we left, we had to look them in the eye and say, thank you so much for having me. When we walked into a family party, we had to go to all the elders, the grandparents, the aunts, the uncles, and give them a hug or a kiss or look them in the eye and say hello. When we went to a place where we didn't know people, we had to walk around and look people in the eye and shake their hand and say, hi, I'm Grace. It's nice to meet you. When we were sitting at a restaurant at dinner, we had to sit in the chairs. We were not looking at screens. My mom didn't go for, like, coloring, you know, on the tablecloth or whatever. We were definitely not running around. We had to act like the adults, sit nicely, have a conversation, have our meal. When we were in conversation with someone else, particularly an adult, it was drilled into us. What about you? Where are you from? How was your week? Like, asking the other person about themselves. It is so abundantly clear that kids right now in the workforce forget, even about the kids who are teenagers, are not getting this same, what feels like baseline education about how you interact productively with other people.
Haley Caradilla
And it's great for me. And I will say that education happens at home. She's talking about parenting here. This is not something that you learn in school. This is something that parents have to teach at home before sending their kids to school. And I will say, I grew up and I had certain expectations where if I had a birthday party, I was writing handwritten thank you notes even to my family members and certainly to every kid that sent a gift or came, I handwritten thank you notes for everything. And as an adult I send handwritten thank you notes. If I ever leave a job, I send a handwritten thank you note to my boss, to my superiors. I want to stay on good terms. I mean these are lessons that I learned in childhood that I have carried with me into adulthood. That's why I'm a well adjusted adult. I guess there are kids that never learned these things and now they're in the workforce and they're having a much more difficult time having these interpersonal communication connections. And my parents also taught me to answer the landline, which I think is different now because people don't have landlines. But when I was younger we had a house phone and I was always taught to answer Karenia residents, who's speaking please? And that's how I would answer the phone. And then kids were in the position where if an adult was on the phone they'd have to have a conversation with an adult and then they'd have to go get their parents. And kids were talking to parents more often. Now I think parents have cell phones. So if a kid wants to set up a play date, I had to set up my own playdates. I remember when I was going into kindergarten, I had gone to preschool and some of the same kids were going to be going to the same kindergarten class that I was in. And my mom gave me the phone book and she said, look up. Who is. Look up your friends names. This was like a school phone book, not like a yellow pages but a school phone book. Look up your friends names, look over to their number, call their house phone and ask their parents if you could talk to their kid, your friend and ask what class you're in. And I was, this was going into kindergarten. I used to call my friends houses to set up play dates. Hi, is so and so home? Hi. I'd like can so and so come over? Can she have a playdate? Can she have a sleepover this weekend? This is normal to me. Maybe that's not normal, but that's how I was raised and I'm very grateful for that. Did you ever have to answer the landline or anything like that or set up your own playdates?
Co-host/Commentator
My dad was a college basketball coach so I would get invited to a lot of the team dinners and donor events and that type of thing. So very early on it was walk up to so and so, introduce yourself as coach's son, shake their hand.
Haley Caradilla
Yes.
Co-host/Commentator
And I remember after every one of Those like booster dinners. I would go to the people who hosted it and shake their hand and say, nice to meet you, thank you for having us and letting us be here. So I got like thrown to the fire.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah.
Co-host/Commentator
And it, at first it's tough and look them in the eye and that. But I will say, I say, yes, ma', am, no, ma', am, instinctively, yes. And because you were raised my brain.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, yeah. And to your point, you know, you say thank you. You look people in the eye. I think that phone etiquette is dying because so many people are used to texting that they're. They. They would prefer to send an email or a text rather than to call someone on the phone. And I wonder how this has impacted sales. And maybe if you work in sales, you can tell us in the chat. But I think the more Gen Z and Gen Alpha get into the workforce, they are going to have a very difficult time picking up the phone and calling someone and making a sale on the phone because people are so used to just texting and making communications that way that, you know, don't even get me started on face to face conversations. I think they're lacking in that department.
Co-host/Commentator
I genuinely have no idea. I've never been in sales. I'm a bad salesman. But I could definitely see the inability to have a professional conversation.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
Yeah.
Co-host/Commentator
That's the one that even with a boss or something along those lines, just not understanding how to be a professional in the workforce.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
And you brought up a good point that you didn't want to do it and neither did I. I didn't want to call my friend's house and have their older brother answer the phone. I didn't want to call my friend's house and talk to their dad. I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to call my friends, but I did. My parents didn't really give me a choice, so I did it. And I'm so glad for that. And I feel like, I don't know if this is because I'm an only child, but my parents never treated me like a baby. I was very much hanging out in adult circles and I didn't have siblings. I mean, obviously I had friends my age, but I didn't have siblings to really be like a kid with. I really entertained myself a lot. So I'm very independent. I could do anything by myself. I don't care. But yeah, it's just weird. I definitely don't think that my parents treated me like a baby. We had adult conversations at the Dinner table. Because it was like they're having adult conversations and I'm at the table too.
Co-host/Commentator
100%. You really unlocked a suppressed memory of using the school contact book and praying to God that their mom doesn't answer. Like, why would Timothy be answering his own phone? I have no idea. Please don't make me talk to your mom.
Haley Caradilla
I hoped anyway. It's. It's just. It's crazy. People in the comments were saying, let's see, let's see. Parents are excusing their kids from doing anything that makes them uncomfortable. And that's not. Not okay. We have to learn to work through our discomfort sometimes. So I think this comfort culture that I talk about all the time, that has all these horrific impacts on society, maybe this is a side effect of comfort culture. You know, if you don't want to have. If you don't want to do it, you don't have to. You don't owe anyone anything. So it's basically an excuse to be a shitty person. And then these, like, shitty kids grow up to be shitty adults anyway. It's out of control. Should we get into some blind reactions?
Co-host/Commentator
Absolutely, let's do it.
Haley Caradilla
I haven't seen these videos yet, but after we do these blind reactions, I'm going to answer the advice that I put on my Instagram story last night. So if you want to throw in a last minute one, you can go to my Instagram at Haley Karenia and I'll try to get to as many as I can, but I'm excited to give some. Do a little advice, like an advice column, but live.
Co-host/Commentator
There you go.
Haley Caradilla
Jim Rome takes on sports.
Ryan Reynolds
I will always have a complicated relationship with this game, but people in evolve. So do sports. Do not make me regret this. Do not make me devolve back to that guy that so many clones wish that I still was. And do not embarrass the entire country. Now I can go back. I can get there fast. Lose tonight and you got a real problem. Do not blow it.
Haley Caradilla
The Jim Rome show podcast.
Ryan Reynolds
You've been warned.
Haley Caradilla
Follow and listen on your favorite platform.
Co-host/Commentator
All right, here's your first first vid.
Haley Caradilla
Okay, let's go. The career.
Co-host/Commentator
That's the first shot at D1.
Haley Caradilla
Corny. He said NFL.
Co-host/Commentator
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Haley Caradilla
That's the best Instagram video. Did it hit her or did it hit the tripod? Was the phone on a tripod or was this a girl?
Co-host/Commentator
It was in her hand.
Haley Caradilla
Oh, Oops. He. The first one was great. The first throw was awesome. And Then the second throw, he got
Co-host/Commentator
me on the first throw because I was. I thought, oh, he's about to win, like a mega prize. And then next thing you know, he's knocking out his girl girlfriend.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, a little embarrassing. That's too bad. That's too bad. She was in. She was in the strike zone.
Co-host/Commentator
Oh. 100. We spoke about fajitas the other day. So. Yes, here, here's a little fajita action.
Grace
Okay,
Haley Caradilla
here we go. Smoking fajitas. Wow. We got another order of smoking over here. Look at them smoking. People are coughing.
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
Oh.
Haley Caradilla
Oh, my gosh. We're smoking it up. Somebody called the fire department. Ridiculous. I just noticed the kid. Oh, my gosh. And we've got another one. Oh, my God. My sister had to get unlaid. It looks like the old restaurant's on fire.
Co-host/Commentator
Those poor kids in the back with their shirts over their face,
Haley Caradilla
like, I can't breathe. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, we were talking about fajitas because if you really want all the attention on you in the restaurant, order a fajita. Everyone. Everyone hears it coming before it's coming out of the. Because it's sizzling. And everyone can't help but to stare because, you know, the billowing of smoke and vapor, it's just. It's an attention seeker for sure. So if you're seeking any attention, just go order a fajita.
Co-host/Commentator
There you go.
Haley Caradilla
Pro tip.
Co-host/Commentator
Pro tip. All right, here's. I got two more for you.
Financial Analyst/Commentator
Okay.
Haley Caradilla
When my mom's shopping and I get a text, you like this?
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
It's like, don't pick that up for me.
Co-host/Commentator
So that kind of tees up a blind question. You ever get mom swapped?
Grace
What?
Haley Caradilla
What is that?
Co-host/Commentator
So mom swapped is when you ask for one thing and you get a very close but not really.
Haley Caradilla
Like a dupe.
Co-host/Commentator
Like a dupe?
Haley Caradilla
I don't think so.
Co-host/Commentator
It's like the ultimate poor taste gift is I really want this very specific jean jacket. And then you get another jean jacket in general. Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
I don't know. I really stopped doing Christmas lists very early on, and I just sort of let people get me whatever they think. And I just treated it as, oh, that was nice. That was a nice gift. And if I really want something at this point in my life, I'll just buy it myself. And if I can't afford it, then I don't have it. And that's really. That's being an adult, you know? So. Yeah, no, that didn't really happen to me. Do you have one more?
Co-host/Commentator
Yeah, I'm just gonna wrap up 4th of July. One more celebration. Here you go.
Haley Caradilla
He looks like he's going to die, by the way.
Co-host/Commentator
Who do you think gave you that one?
Haley Caradilla
Justin?
Co-host/Commentator
He just sat across the room. That was a banger.
Haley Caradilla
Does he have a kazoo and then he put hot dog meat around it?
Co-host/Commentator
No, I think he just hollowed out
Haley Caradilla
the dog and he just sang Free Bird into the hot dog.
Co-host/Commentator
I suppose.
Haley Caradilla
I think I would gag if that's like really nasty.
Co-host/Commentator
Happy fourth of July.
Haley Caradilla
Happy fourth of July. Okay, so we're trying this advice segment for the first time. I'm going to try to get to as many as I can. Someone said how? And I this is all anonymous. I, I said on my Instagram story yesterday, this is anonymous. So I'm not going to out anybody, but someone asked me how to deal with New York and New Jersey liberals when I'm the only conservative in the friend group. And again, there are so many of these that I wanted to ask follow up questions to. Like, I just didn't get enough information. So I'm just going to give you advice based on what you said. But I would like to know, how long have you known these people? You know, because I have liberal friends from New York, I grew up in New York and I love them to death. We're still friends. I don't care that they think differently than me. And I told them straight up, if you have a problem with anything that I say or anything that I think come to me first. Because I've had friends just cut me off cold turkey, ghost me, not want to be friends with me anymore for whatever reason, politics or who knows. They never told me. So I told the rest of my liberal friends. If you do get the inkling to cut me off and ghost me as a friend, do me the service of having a conversation with me first and we could talk it out. And I've always said, I respect you, you respect me and respect me enough to have a conversation with you and explain my thought process. And after we have a constructive conversation, we'll probably be closer to each other than we were before. That's my thing. So I can understand not wanting to rock the boat. Like, if your friends don't know that you're conservative and you're just like a closet conservative, that's kind of tough. I mean, how do you kind of like come out of the conservative closet and tell your friends, your lifelong friends, hey, I'm MAGA or I voted, I voted for Trump or I'm conservative. Maybe they wouldn't receive you that well. And if you've been friends a long time and they don't receive that well, maybe they're not the best friends. And I know, I don't know how old this person is, it's much easier said than done to be like, go find new friends. Like that's stupid advice. And it's much harder, especially in your late 20s and 30s to meet new friends. But you can meet new friends at the gym, at, you know, whatever your hobbies are. And maybe you'll meet people who are like minded, maybe you won't. But if you're in the New York area, New Jersey area, join the New York Young Republicans and meet new friends through that. You just have to find like minded people where they're hanging out, where they're hanging out and getting together and just put yourself there.
Co-host/Commentator
I'm a big proponent of go to church. And usually you'll find some like minded people there. And if you don't go to church, that advice is not helpful. But usually go to church is a great, great spot to meet people.
Haley Caradilla
Go to church, go to the gun range.
Co-host/Commentator
Whoa, you're not wrong.
Haley Caradilla
But like where else do conservatives hang out? I'm at the gym.
Co-host/Commentator
Gym's a good spot.
Haley Caradilla
I mean you might meet a liberal there. I'm not saying that this is foolproof plan, but put yourself where other conservatives would be and you'll probably find someone. And social media too, don't, you know, don't cast out social media. You can meet friends online and then meet them in real life too. Maybe there's like a Facebook group also
Co-host/Commentator
having friends with differing.
Haley Caradilla
It's okay. Yeah, I do.
Co-host/Commentator
You can totally coexist.
Haley Caradilla
But I can understand him feeling like the black sheep of the friend group and not feeling like I can be myself. And if you can't be yourself around your friends, I would urge you to find a new friend group. And again that's way easier said than done. But I think a good start is to go to the New York Young Republicans or go to a, some sort of a political event and bring a
Co-host/Commentator
card with your name number and.
Grace
Yeah.
Co-host/Commentator
Wanting to meet friends.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah. Someone else asked. I'm a shorter guy. I'm 5, 4 and I keep getting rejected by women. This is a hot topic on social media. These height people. People are obsessed with height now. I don't think there's anything wrong if you're a 54 guy. Do you know how many women are shorter than you? So many. The problem I think is with women because if you're 5 4. There are. The average height, I think for women is 5:2. So the average is shorter than you and I. I have friends who are 5 foot 5 1, 5, 2, 5 3. They're all shorter than 5 4. So I think the issue is that women prefer taller men. I actually find it totally ridiculous when I see like a five foot woman and she's dating some guy who's like six two. I'm like, you don't need that. Save him for me who's almost 5 8, you know, but everyone has their preferences, so you can't get, you can't really yuck people's yums. Um, I would just say this is more so not advice for you, but advice for women to not be height snobs. Like, I date people who are my height and higher. I'm sure there's a five four girl that would date him and she should. Or five two. You're already two inches taller. Five foot four inches taller. She can even wear heels.
Co-host/Commentator
There you go.
Haley Caradilla
So I don't know.
Co-host/Commentator
My advice to guys, always start with a good haircut. Go to a really good barber. Get a really good.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, go to bed.
Co-host/Commentator
Clean up your beard. Clean up your beard. Clean up your, your haircut. Get a new outfit. I know that's usually like a girly thing. Seriously, go, go spruce up a little bit. And especially for the height thing, just. Yeah, find a shorter girl.
Haley Caradilla
And if you're on dating apps, you can set your like, preferences, your height preferences. So try to find women that are. I'm sure he's looking for women who are shorter.
Co-host/Commentator
And don't lie.
Haley Caradilla
Unless. Unless. Yeah, don't lie about it. I. I went on a date with a guy who was much shorter. He lied about it and he said I lie so that I can get girls on the date and then hopefully like them with my personality. Was his personality that great? No. And he's a liar. So you're starting off in the negatives. I can't hear you from there.
Co-host/Commentator
That's a lie.
Haley Caradilla
By what?
Co-host/Commentator
Like how, how many, how much did he lie by?
Haley Caradilla
I don't know. It was egregious.
Co-host/Commentator
Oh, that's no good.
Haley Caradilla
No, no. If it's an inch. No. But also, don't lie. Especially because women know how tall they are. I don't think men do. Women know how tall they are. And then when some guy that I go on a date with says he's 58 and like I'm taller than him, I'm like, why did you lie? I Know that you're. Now I can't hear you either. I can't hear you.
Co-host/Commentator
My. There it is. My doctor says I'm 5 10. My driver's license says I'm 5 11. And when I sign up for rec league basketball, I am six, three.
Haley Caradilla
Nice. Love it. Love it. All right. Someone else said how to tell my wife not to spend like we're the Rockefellers without a fight. This is tough. How to do it without a fight? Well, listen, you got to get on the same page. You guys are a team and you've got to get through this together. I feel like the way to do this without a fight is to come at it and not be accusatory. But especially if you've merged your finances. It takes two to tango, and this is very serious. So finances are very serious. Gotta take it seriously, and you gotta be on the same page. So I would just come at it not in an accusatory way. Like, you do this and you need to spend less and you're spending this and you're spending that, and just say, we need to get our finances in order. This is a very serious conversation. And we statements more than you.
Grace
You.
Mandela Effect Commentator
You.
Haley Caradilla
You need to. Even if you feel like that inside, even if you want to point the finger because it's all her fault, you have to come at it from a we perspective, because I think that's going to be. She's going to be more receptive to that.
Co-host/Commentator
That's good. Merge your finances as a. I'm not married.
Haley Caradilla
I don't merge my finances with anyone. But I. I'm a woman, and if I wanted someone to have a hard conversation with me, I wouldn't want them to come at me in an accusatory way.
Co-host/Commentator
So no doubt, once you merge your finances, that all becomes very transparent, usually. And you can have those conversations much easier. Much more easy. Yeah, it's ours.
Haley Caradilla
We have to get this under control.
Co-host/Commentator
We need Grand Theft Auto 6 and we need a new espresso machine, and we need to go to an Orlando
Haley Caradilla
Magic game, and we need to cut back on this, this, and this in order to get those things perfect. We, we, we, we, we, we statements. Not I statements. Not you statements. We. You guys are a.
Co-host/Commentator
We also do not merge your finances if you're only dating. Don't people do that? Who? There are people that have done that.
Haley Caradilla
Chat knows people merge their finances with people they're dating.
Co-host/Commentator
Yeah, it's happened. And then you get into a whole bunch of legal.
Haley Caradilla
Well, yeah, that's really stupid. That's really stupid. Don't do that.
Co-host/Commentator
Unfortunately, there are a lot of stupid.
Haley Caradilla
Yeah, I guess I've heard people buy houses together or like put them. Yeah, yeah, don't be doing that. Don't be doing that. Okay. Someone else said modern day dating advice for a guy who wants to meet someone in the wild. This is going to be kind of similar advice to the other one about meeting people, meeting friends, like minded people. You got to just have the, the balls to go up and see. Say it like just go up approach. Some women aren't going to be receptive to it and that's not the girl for you. I don't mind being approached. I welcome it. I would want someone to. I, I think everyone today wants to meet someone in real life. The dating apps are horrible. So I think that people are more receptive to meeting someone in real life because that's a better story. Right. I listen to another dating podcast and they always talk about the R story page on the website and like no one wants their our story page on the website to be like we met on Hinge. You know, they want to have like a. Oh, we. I was in the bar with my friends and he came up to me and it was love at first sight or whatever. So I think most people would rather have that story rather than we met on match.com or whatever.
Co-host/Commentator
And if you're gonna get rejected, make it a. Give them a story. You know, don't be scared. Everybody's doing their best out here.
Grace
Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
And I think most people, I don't know, I mean, I'm nice. When I turn people down, I'm nice. I can't imagine. I mean the worst case scenario, he. The girl says, I'm sorry I'm dating someone.
Co-host/Commentator
Yeah. Most people no one's going to see. As long as you're not a creep, you. You're just gonna get a gentle no thank you. Probably. Yeah, more than likely.
Haley Caradilla
And just brush it off and ask the next girl. Not a. Not a problem.
Co-host/Commentator
Probably not the one standing right beside her. Right.
Mandela Effect Commentator
Yeah.
Haley Caradilla
Don't ask your friend. But yes, I agree with that. Just do it. Someone else asked. My oldest daughter is nine. How can I best connect with her to be the best dad I can be? And I found a video and this is a how to manual. This is what not to do.
Co-host/Commentator
Watch grades. Are your daughters going into.
Mandela Effect Commentator
Oh man.
Co-host/Commentator
So Grace is in.
Haley Caradilla
Oh man.
Mandela Effect Commentator
They're still on the.
Co-host/Commentator

Socially Anxious Person/Listener

Haley Caradilla
Did I miss that one? Oh, man.
Co-host/Commentator
What are your daughter's birthdays?
Grace
Ah.
Co-host/Commentator
Why do you do this to me? What about her? I give up. Any guesses?
Socially Anxious Person/Listener
Yesterday.
Co-host/Commentator
Oh, yeah, yesterday.
Ryan Reynolds
Horrible.

What grade is your daughter going into?
Haley Caradilla
It's a brutal showing. For some of these dads, you gotta be an active father. It is important. Someone in the chat said, men don't know this stuff. They should. They should know this stuff. You should know when your kids are born. You should know their birthdays. So to this person writing in, you already are a better dad than these people on the Jimmy Kibble Live Show. You already care enough to have and foster a relationship with your daughter and to keep it growing as she gets older. My advice would be. My advice would be to show interest in her interests, to have hobbies that you do together, Whether that's watching a show, going to movies, playing outside. Show interest in her friends. My dad always knows all my friends names. How's so and so doing? How's this one doing? Are you seeing this one this weekend? Like, my dad knows what's going on in my life, and I think that's important. So just show interest in what she's interested in, and she'll want you to be a part of it. That's my. That's my advice. And then last one here. Someone said, I'm lonely, but I have social anxiety. What do I do? This is tough, right? Because you're craving communication. You're craving connection with people, and you're not able to find that because you're getting in your own way. The best way to do this is exposure therapy. You have to just get out there. And I know that that sounds hard, so if that is something that you're thinking, haley, I can't do that. Maybe get help and it's totally okay to get help. Social anxiety is natural. I have social anxiety. And you have to push past it to make friends. So here's a little personal story. There's a run club in town, and one week I was going with Frankie and Justin, and they were late, so I was there by myself. So I was there, I don't know, probably like 10 minutes before anyone else that I knew showed up. No one came up to talk to me. No one. Like, hey, what's your name? Nothing. And I'm like, this kind of stinks. Like, people go to these things to make friends. And, like, no one. I don't know. And I guess maybe it's on me, right? So then the next week came, and I went by myself, and I ended up seeing two people from the gym that I knew. So then I went to go with them to walk with them, and I saw this girl. Because I went to go fill up my water bottle, and I saw this girl standing alone. And I remembered how I felt last week when I was standing alone. And I didn't like how that felt. So I went up to her and I said, hey, are you here by yourself? She said, yeah, I usually go to the run club in this town, but I came to this one this week. I asked her her name. We get to talking. I said, why don't you walk with me and my friends from the gym? And now we're in a group chat, and now we're gonna go to the run. So see how this works. I remember how it felt to not have someone come up to me. So then I paid it forward, and when I saw someone standing alone, I did something, and it worked out great. Again, no one is going to, especially at these, like, community events. So my advice to you would be go to something in your town, and what is the worst thing that happens? You go up to someone and say, hey, like, I'm new here, or, hey, I've never been to this before. Have you? Hey, my name is so. And so you just start talking. And if you're that socially anxious that you don't know what to say, I don't know. Come up with questions in your head ahead of time so that you're prepared going into it. But find things that you can do, and you gotta push past your comfort zone. It's not easy, but you can do it. And if you're really struggling, I would say get help. It's totally fine to see a therapist if that's something that you need. It's not something to be ashamed of. And I wish you all the best. So how did we like the advice segment? How do we think that I. Am I an expert?
