Hello to all my homies in the chat. Happy Wednesday, everyone. Welcome to Nightly Scroll. I'm Hailey Carania. We've been having a lot of fun actually in here before the show starts and sometimes I record it and sometimes I don't. We should have recorded it today because I didn't. I wish you guys could be in here with us. I know that you're here in the chat, but we have so much fun in here. So anyway, if you want to join all of my homies in the chat, you can only do that on Rumble Rumble.com Haley is where you can watch the show live Monday to Friday, 6pm Eastern Time. If you want to watch later on, that's where you can watch it later on as well. If you want to listen Apple podcasts, Spotify, just Search Nightly. Scroll. We've got a big show tonight. I think Democrat leaders in New York and Chicago are having a competition to see who could be the dumbest, who can push the dumbest policies known to man with taxpayer funded legal counsel for illegal aliens and yes, reparations for black people whose ancestors may or may not have been slaves. The details don't matter, but blue state taxpayers are going to be footing the bill. A transgender member of Congress is admitting that the left went too far in pushing their LGBTQIA+ agenda. Lizzo's fans are thanking her for using her platform to speak out against ICE raids and law enforcement. Except she doesn't have all of her facts straight. And two rock band members are getting political. Two separate ones. One is spewing anti Trump nonsense in the name of Christianity, mind you. And the other is thanking United States servicemen and women for their service. Guess which one is getting hate. I'll let you figure that one out. I'm covering it later in the show. All that and so much more on this episode of Nightly Scroll Foreign. I covered this yesterday. The arrest of New York City comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander. He was at a Manhattan immigration court yesterday. Lander entered the courtroom and linked arms with the illegal immigrant who was being detained and demanded to see judicial warrants for his arrest. Of course, the comptroller, Brad. What's his name? Brad Lander. He was arrested but then released and of course applauded for his bravery by New Yorkers. And then he held a joint press conference with New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who pledged, get this, $50 million in taxpayer funds for illegal aliens. Legal counsel, watch this. That are walking out of this courthouse, taken away from their families. They don't have the attention they don't have the lawyers. And that's why the state of New York is providing $50 million to cover legal services for people are finding themselves in this situation. I'm just letting you all know I have taxpayer friends. They live in New York City. And they reached out to me and said, we do not approve. We do not approve. People in New York do not want to pay for this crap. Maybe the progressive leftists, but the majority of normal people, they don't want their taxpayer dollars going for criminal aliens legal funds. These people are so dumb. Andrew Cuomo might just be reelected as mayor of New York City because all the liberals have dropped the MeToo stuff by now. Democrats only care about women if their abortion access is being restricted and illegal immigrants are their new favorite victims to obsess over. So Democrats everywhere, as we know, are showing up to ICE facilities. They're demanding entry. The other New York mayoral candidate, Mamdani, Zohan Mamdani, was screaming in Tom Homan's face. We saw Senator Eric Padilla in California trying to barge into DHS Secretary Christine Gnomes presser. This was last week or two weeks ago. They're screaming in the faces of Trump administration officials. They are obstructing ICE agents doing their jobs. Then Kathy Hochul wants New Yorkers to pay for the legal fees of criminals. Democrats will do anything but make criminals pay for their own crimes. No, no, no. They are coddled. And then all of the taxpayers, all of the law abiding citizens who don't want to be surrounded by all this crime, by the way, are the ones who have to foot the bill. They hate holding people accountable. So that's in New York. Now I want to move over to Chicago where honestly, this might even be crazier. Here is the Chicago mayor saying that President Trump is trying to get rid of black people. Watch.
Brad Johnson
We're going to continue to make sure that whether you are black, brown, Asian, white, young, old, working people deserve to be prioritized. And this misnomer that there's division, you know, and consternation within communities solely based on this issue is just wrong. He's working to eliminate black history. He is trying to eliminate black existence from this country. But he's also attacking the lgbtq.
Hailey Carania
I wouldn't say he's trying to eliminate.
Brad Johnson
What we're going to do is we're going to bring people together in this country to make sure we build the safest, most affordable big city in America.
Hailey Carania
What? What? Even the, the reporter on cnn, the anchor on CNN is like, well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that President Trump is trying to get rid of the existence of black people. That is a huge claim, and that is a wrong claim. So Mayor Brad Johnson, he's also interested in securing reparations for the black community in Chicago. Here he is at his Juneteenth address that took place yesterday, announcing a reparations task force.
Brad Johnson
Watch Our Way will bring to black residents in reclaiming ownership of our own communities. That is the spirit of Juneteenth, you all. It is about reflecting on our past. Other cultures are taught to never forget. We need to be reminded as blacks here in Chicago and America, remembering our past and working towards a more just future. Investing in black is not a criminal act. Sister Zakiya says she need a witness, so I'm gonna say it again. Investing in black is not a criminal act.
Hailey Carania
Is anyone else confused? I'm. I'm a little confused. Investing is. Investing in black is not a criminal act. No one's saying that it's criminal, but it is stupid. Reparations for people who were not slaves and their ancestors may or may not have been slaves. That is stupid. Making white people pay for crimes that they did not personally commit is insane. So this committee is reportedly being funded by $500,000 that were set aside for this purpose in the recent budget negotiations in Chicago. So. Yep. Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order establishing a reparations task force. They say this is an essential step towards addressing historical harms committed by black American. Sorry. Committed against black Chicagoans and their ancestors through the form of reparations. This is a quote from the website. Reparations are a necessary commitment to repair the generational harm caused by systemic racism. This work is about creating a more equ. Equitable Chicago by building wealth, expanding opportunity, and empowering more black residents. They forgot at the expense of white taxpayers. I wouldn't be surprised if. I mean, how do they even figure this out? Do they. Do. I don't know. They send an invoice to all the white people in Chicago and say, hey, you need to. You need to foot this bill. No, they took it from this $500,000 from the budget, which is probably paid for by black and white Chicagoans, their taxpayer dollars. The city of Chicago says it envisions a future state it strives to create where identity and social status no longer determine life outcomes for its residents. Chicago also acknowledges the present and historical inequities that persist for black Chicagoans, which is why the Chicago Reparation study will. This is what this task force is trying to figure out it's going to acknowledge the harmful policies and practices that have harmed black Chicagoans and their ancestors. Identify appropriate remedies and restitution that include pathways for wealth building, economic opportunity, affordable housing and home ownership, quality education, community safety, community ownership and health equity. Shouldn't these be things that the mayor of Chicago wants for all Chicagoans, not just black ones, but of any color? Health care, quality education, community safety. I think most people who live in Chicago would want these things. But this $500,000 in the budget is going to just black people. And what does all of this have to do with slavery? Nothing. Nobody talks more about race than Democrats. They are keeping racism and victim mentalities alive with asinine proposals like this. No one alive in the USA today is responsible for slavery. No one alive today in the US is being held back by slavery. No payment of any amount will undo slavery or erase that part of our history. But so called reparation payments keep racial division and victim mentalities alive and well. What a shame. It's just another political stunt. It's not about fixing race relations or equity or any of that crap. It is about getting Brandon Johnson's poll numbers out of the toilet because he is at 26% approval rating and just 30% among the black community. So why do we think that he's pandering to the black community? Probably because no one in Chicago likes him. And I mean I don't blame voters for being excited about free money. I mean everyone likes money. Remember when they gave out Covid stimulus checks? I didn't lose my job or anything, but I got a thousand dollar check in the mail. I cashed it. I think we got $1,000 payment, we got another $600 payment. I donated one to the barstool fund because they were doing a lot to revive some of the businesses that were shut down during COVID New York. Small businesses, mom and pop restaurants and stuff. So. Yeah, but I, I didn't, I didn't lose my job. I don't know why the government gave me money, but I guess it was to, I don't know, stimulate the economy. But this all feels to me like student government elections where people just get up and it's their middle school student, you know, student body government. And they're saying like free homework and, and Pizza Fridays and vending machines with Coca Cola or whatever. This is what this feels like. We're just going to throw something at the wall, see what sticks and hopefully these people will like it. We're going to give them money and we're going to pander to this specific group of people and hopefully it pays off. So we'll see how, how that all shakes out in Chicago. But Whoopi Goldberg on the View. I know I played a clip from the View yesterday, and people were saying, like, why do you even give these people the time of day? It's because what they say is insane. It needs to be called out. Whoopi Goldberg said that being a black person in America is the same as being a woman in Iran. Watch this.
Whoopi Goldberg
And it's. And it's slow.
Hailey Carania
But let's just remember, too, the Iranians literally throw gay people off of buildings. They don't adhere to basic human.
Whoopi Goldberg
Listen, here's the thing. Let's not, let's not do that. Let's not do that.
Hailey Carania
That.
Whoopi Goldberg
Because if we start with that, we have, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car.
Hailey Carania
I'm sorry, but where the Iranian regime.
Whoopi Goldberg
Is nothing compared to united keep hanging black people.
Hailey Carania
So it is not even the same.
Whoopi Goldberg
I couldn't step foot wearing this. That's not what you mean to say it is the same.
Hailey Carania
No, it's not the year 2025. The United States is nothing like if I stepped foot wearing this young. I can't have my hair showing. I can't wear a skirt. I can't. My. I literally said it was up to the Iranian people, said it up to them.
Whoopi Goldberg
And that's why I am saying that it is the same. Murdering someone for their difference is not good. Whoever does it, it's not good. So that's why I said you, you weren't saying what you, what I heard was not what you meant.
Hailey Carania
Yeah, I think it's very different to live in the United States in 2025 than it is to live in Iran. Not if you're black. Not for everybody.
Whoopi Goldberg
Not if you're black.
Hailey Carania
Not if you're black. She says. Whoopi Goldberg says that being black in the United States of America in 2025 is the same as women living in Tehran in 2025. I can't even imagine what was going through Alyssa Farah Griffin's head during this exchange, because this made no sense at all. Whoopi Goldberg is saying that black people, I mean, Alyssa Farah Griffin is talking about, you know, how black people, I'm sorry, gay people are thrown off of roofs in, in Iran. And then Whoopi Goldberg is conflating that with gay people being, you know, discriminated. Discriminated against in the United States, which is not happening in present day. It is happening in present day Iran. So this is crazy. I mean, she's just. It was insane. So if women protest wearing a hijab in Iran, they can go to jail. They can be whipped. Girls, girls can be married off under the age of 13. Their skin has to be completely covered. Aside from their face and their hands. Women aren't allowed to dance in public. Black women are certainly able to do all of those things in the United States of America because in 2025, I've seen Black women twerk on top of police cars. I would say go try that in Tehran and let me know how that works out for you. We are not the same. That should be pretty obvious if you've, if you have your eyes open. Really. You know that one friend who somehow knows everything about money? Yeah. Now imagine they live in your phone. Say hey to Experian, your big financial friend. It's the app that helps you check your FICO score, find ways to save, and basically feel like a financial genius. And guess what? It's totally free. So go on, download the Experian app. Trust me, having a BFF like this is a total game changer.

It's time for a little cleaning of the soul. Let's get a little ruthless, a little refreshing and a little bit real. God bless you everyone. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. I've got an update on the Minnesota alleged killer, the man who allegedly killed the two lawmakers in. I'm sorry, the lawmaker and her husband in Minnesota as well as shot another lawmaker and his wife in Minnesota. He has whined to the judge that he cannot afford a private lawyer. He said that he only has a part time job that brings in $540 a week. He also, he also said in court that he owns a home and he also has seven cars in his name. He also has somewhere between 20 and 30 grand in his bank accounts. The judge asked the defender's office to look into the accused killer's financials and they did come to the conclusion that he probably cannot afford a private defense lawyer. So things are not adding up. For me in this story and when I first covered it this week, I told you that we're going to have to just wait and see what happens here. But I just. Something is fishy. So he says he has a part time job. He own. He, he has a part time job that only brings in $540 a week. So he can't afford a private lawyer. But he owns a home, has seven cars, maybe 30 grand in the bank. But then he was living in an apartment with the sweaty Papa John's employee that would talk to any camera that was in his face. So I don't understand what's going on. I have a lot of questions still. So we have to see what happens here. Hopefully he is just prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if he is found guilty of these horrific crimes, which I'm sure he will be. But again, this story, lots of loose ends and I'm not really sure, but this seems like a very strange story and we'll have to wait and see how it shapes up. But I'm confused. Is anyone else confused? Someone in the chat just said no one needs seven vehicles. Yes. Someone also said, what about his wife? Right. He has a wife and a home, seven cars. But then he had a roommate. He had an apartment that he was renting without his wife. Then the same day that the murders took place, the wife was found in a car with a bunch of passports and family members and cash. What's going on? They question, none of this adds up. Nothing adds up. Like this is just fishy to me. It just seems like nothing's making sense. I don't know. This is like one of the craziest stories and no one has any answers. No one, no one is answering the questions. Why does he have this apartment?
Justin
Where I'm from, a lot of people have seven cars, but not all of them run. That's a, that's a, that's an important thing to distinguish.
Hailey Carania
Yeah. I mean he said that they said that he had seven cars in his name. It's not, not saying that they're all up and running, but bizarre.
Justin
It's weird. And it's going to get weirder or we're going to know nothing.
Hailey Carania
That I was just going to say. I don't even know if it can get weirder because I think they will just wait until this goes away. The news cycle moves so fast they won't tell us anything and then we'll never find out anything. That's how this usually goes. I mean we really don't know a lot of details about the kid who tried to shoot President Trump or did shoot President Trump in July of last year.
Justin
And there's so much that we. We know since then that is unexplained.
Hailey Carania
We don't know anything about the Las Vegas shooter. Like, there's so many things.
Justin
I was just gonna say that under the rug, it's like that never happened. It's like nobody knows how that guy got thousands and thousands of rounds of ammunition up 15, 16 floors.
Hailey Carania
Yeah.
Justin
Unreal.
Hailey Carania
Yeah. I mean, a lot of things just. They either go uncovered, and it's purposeful. I don't know who's hiding the information from who, but this just does not. It doesn't shock me, but I. I do hope that we find information out. Someone said he's going to end up dead in a cell somewhere. Maybe someone said he was controlled by the CIA. Maybe. Yeah. Is this the conspiracy music? We're getting into conspiracy hour here. My tinfoil hat time. But yeah, I. I'm laughing, but it's really not funny. I mean, there are so many horrific stories that take place in this country, and then they just wait for the news cycle to just sweep it under the rug, and then no one, no one asks any questions, and people just forget. It's really crazy. I want to get to this video of Tim McBride, who goes by Sarah McBride, the trans lawmaker. He admitted to the New York Times that the left pushed too hard on the trans agenda. Watch this.
Tim McBride
I think that that's an accurate reflection of. Of sort of the overplaying of the hand in some ways that we, as a sort of coalition, went to trans 201, trans 301, when people were still at a very much trans 101 stage. One and then two. I think there was. There were requests that people perceived as sort of cultural aggression, which then allowed the right to say we're. We're.
Whoopi Goldberg
We're.
Tim McBride
We're punishing trans people because of their actions, rather than we're going after innocent bystanders. And I think some of the sort of cultural mores and norms that started to develop around inclusion of trans people were probably premature for a lot of people. We became absolutist, not just on trans rights. I think across the sort of progressive movement, we became absolutist, and we forgot that in a democracy, we have to one grapple with where the public authentically is and actually engage with it.
Hailey Carania
I mean, this is true. What she. What he said is true. They did push too hard, and they didn't have any beat on where the American electorate was at most level headed. American voters don't want men in women's restrooms. They don't want men in women's locker rooms. They don't want men in women's sports. They don't want men taking scholarship opportunities and trophies and other accolades away from women. Let me make this very clear. What he said is that they went too hard, too fast. Their goal, the left's goal, Democrats goal is still to erase women's sports and spaces by putting delusional men over them. They just. What he was admitting was they didn't go about it the right way. According to them. That's what he's saying. We moved too quickly on this, we pushed too hard. The electorate wasn't ready for it. Basically saying that the American people were just not woke enough. But maybe one day we will be. That's not to say that they don't want us to live in a world where mentally ill men reign supreme. I think he would probably like that. However, justice prevailed today. The Supreme Court of the United States upheld the trans youth ban. This ban on gender affirming care for trans youth in Tennessee. Amen. This is a protection for children. That is how I see this. But this is how CNN reported on it. I want to read you a little bit of this article here. It says the 6:3 decision by a conservative majority is a major blow to the transgender community and its advocates at a critical time. Since 2020, Republican led states around the country have passed a wave of laws regulating the lives of trans Americans with a particular focus on minors. That's because Republicans want to protect minors. They went on. And President Donald Trump, who ran for reelection in part on ending the transgender lunacy, has taken several steps in intended to roll back gains made by that community. I do not think access to gender affirming care for children is a gain for the trans community. That's what the trans community thinks. But everyone else who can step back sees that this is very controversial. It is damaging, it is experimental and normal people can see this and think this is a group of people who need help. This is a group of people who don't need their delusions affirmed. They need them treated. The only reason that trans youth exist is because of mentally ill adults who fight for them to be transed. No child is transgender. If a child feels uncomfortable in his or her body, it's because they're probably going through puberty. If there is a deeper issue, get them help to fix that issue, not affirm it. Most Children go through puberty and struggle with that process. I know I did. I remember going through puberty and thinking, I wish I could not do this. I wish I could go back in time and not experience. It's painful. This is uncomfortable. I don't want to do this. So what if I had a woke libtard parent who heard me say that and thought, oh well, she must not want to become an adult woman. She must want to go on puberty blockers. We could block puberty so that she doesn't have to go through this. She doesn't want to go through this transition. That's making her uncomfortable. That is what's happening. It's mentally ill delusional leftists who are probably twisting what their children are saying or children in their community are saying and telling them like, you don't have to go through puberty. You don't have to go through this discomfort. There's a way out and here's the way out. We can stop puberty. You don't have to be a girl if you don't want to. You can be a guy and you can wear a dress. You can be a girl and you can, you know, do this, that and the other whatever. But this is not the answer. So thank goodness for the Supreme Court upholding this ban. Thankfully, children in Tennessee will be protected. Hopefully more states can follow suit. Certainly the Supreme Court will rule in their favor. We hope so. I hope other states do the same thing.
Justin
About 20 minutes ago, JD Vance posted this on on Blue Sky.
Hailey Carania
Just set up my page on Blue Sky. Hope to see you guys there. J.D. vance. Okay. Hello, Blue Sky. I've been told this app has become the place to go for common sense political discussion and analysis. So I'm thrilled to be here to engage with all of you. What is this that he.
Justin
It's the Supreme Court.
Hailey Carania
Oh, it is the Supreme Court decision on this. That's incredible.
Justin
And then it keeps going.
Hailey Carania
To that end, I found Justice Thomas's concurrence on medical care for transgender youth quite illumina. He argues that many of our so called experts have used bad judgment and substandard science to push experimental therapies on our use. What I just said there, it's experimental. He went on to say, I might add that some of those scientists are receiving substantial resources from Big Pharma to push these medicines on kids. What do you think?
Justin
And then.
Hailey Carania
Oh, they banned. They banned the Vice president. I mean, welcome to the club. They banned Trump on Twitter 1.0.
Justin
He made it. He made it. For just 15 minutes. Justin said he made it 15 minutes.
Hailey Carania
15 minutes on blue Sky. And the vice President of the United States got booted just for saying that transgender youth should not be experimented on by Big Pharma. Because Big Pharma just sees money signs when they see these sick children and these sick adults who are willing to throw these children under the bus for the sake of being woke and woker than the next person. God bless our vice president. I love it. Blue Sky. I mean, I have never touched Blue Sky. I've never looked at it. I don't know what's on it, but I guess it's all the liberals who left Twitter when Elon Musk took over. So I'm sure it's lovely and I'm sure I'm not wanted over there. So I will not be go. Someone said blue Commie sky. JD Went a troll in the woke Olympics. FA fo. All right, going into the Maha takeover, Kraft Heinz just released a statement earlier saying that they are no longer going to have artificial dyes, FD and C colors from its US Portfolio. They are no longer going to launch new products in the United States with these colors and dyes, effective immediately. So hopefully all of this crap that is in our foods, or at least in Kraft Heinz foods, is going to be out by 2027, which is kind of crazy to think how long it takes to get this out of the rotation on all of the product that they've already made that's just chock full of this poison to. They can't just. Why can't they just pull it off the shelves? I guess it takes time to create the new products and make sure that they like taste okay, because we've been pumped full of poison for however long that makes it colorful and taste better or whatever. So they, I guess they've got to redo all their formula.
Justin
Justin and I were just saying this is a big deal.
Hailey Carania
It's a huge deal.
Justin
This is a big deal. And then it goes on to talk about, like, you know, like even the student lunches, kids lunches in schools, kids breakfast in schools. Like it's a gigantic deal to that effort. That's all.
Hailey Carania
And this is all Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Behind everything with this HHS Secretary. This is what I mean. People voted for Donald Trump because they love Donald Trump, of course, but all of the great minds around him, in his cabinet, there was a Maha movement that was so ready to stand behind RFK Jr. And when Trump, RFK Jr. Threw his support behind Donald J. Trump, those Maha People came right with him. There is a huge faction of the conservative party that is all about health and wellness. And again, think about the connection between Big Food and Big Pharma because we know that when we eat this crap, it makes us sick. Big Pharma knows that and they are cashing in. Big Pharma is probably makes them more money. Big Pharma is probably running scared right now thinking in a few years people are going to be less sick and we're going to make less money off of them.
Justin
Kudos to him. I mean, it's not, it wasn't a popular stance and it was pretty, you know, taxing even for him to move over into the MAGA movement to take on this role. And he's doing it. He's convicted to do it. And just God bless him. I mean, it's a big, this is a big deal. So kudos to him and his team. That's really awesome.
Hailey Carania
It's a huge deal. And RFK Jr met with the Starbucks CEO also. He posted this on X earlier, saying that yesterday I met with Starbucks CEO Brian Nicholl, who shared the company's plans to further Maha its menu. I like how Maha is now. It's a verb. It's an adjective. It's, it's everything. He's gonna, it's a. He's gonna Maha the menu.
Justin
Ubiquitous.
Hailey Carania
Yes. It's now a word. We're gonna have to put it in the Webster, you know, Merriam Webster Dictionary. He went on to say, I was pleased to learn that Starbucks food and beverages already avoid official dyes. Official artificial dyes, artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and other additives. I did go to the Starbucks menu just to see because people were saying like, oh, this is so great that they already do this. Their stuff is crap. So let me just skip to menu. Yes, I'm just going to go to the menu. What is Starbucks famous for? Their Frappuccinos. I'm clicking on the first one. Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino. If you get a medium size, a grande size, it is 470 calories. If you get 24 fluid ounces, 570 calories. We're supposed to be eating. Obviously this varies, but the FDA and you know, the government, they say that you should eat, you know, 2,000 calories a day. Obviously people need more or less based on your needs, context.
Justin
The meal prep food that I ate for lunch today. 460 calories.
Hailey Carania
For a meal.
Justin
A whole meal?
Hailey Carania
Yeah, for lunch. And people are just drinking this with a meal. It's crazy. So, you know, RFK here is saying that. RFK junior is saying that, you know, they're, they're going to further maha the menu and. But they don't have these artificial dyes, they don't have artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners or whatever. But the fat content, it's like 24 grams of fat, 84 grams of carbs, 380 milligrams of sodium, and there's 78 grams of sugar. So it's not good. But anyway, they're going to further maha their menu. I guess this is important because how many people go there every day? How many people go. Go to Starbucks a day? 14.3 million people. So think about that. That's how many customers. And then think about how much money they make because their Coffees are freaking $7. Wow. It's wild. On that note, I just want to remind everyone to go to blackout coffee. Blackout coffee dot com. Haley. You can use code Haley H A Y L e y for 20% off your first order. Don't go to Starbucks. Go to blackout coffee. All right, I want to talk about Ariel Winter. I want to ask the chat. Did anyone watch the show Modern Family? Because I watched the entire show during college. I watched every single season. I started rewatching it. Yes. He's the best. Modern family is such a great show. So well written, so funny. I loved it. And I started rewatching it last winter, maybe it was two winters ago with one of my friends. And it's just. It's such a feel good show. You can just turn it on. It's. It's just good. And one of the actors from that show. Why can I not think of her name? Alex. She played Alex Haley's little, little sister, Alex Dunphy. The actress who plays her is Ariel Winter. And she just went undercover for a group that exposes child predators. So she acted as a 12 year old girl to try to catch a child predator. Watch this. You're not gonna like block me again now, right? So that's her in a wig. You okay? Yeah, yeah. You okay? Yeah. You want me to let you go? Well, I mean, I like talking to you. I'm gonna get off here and get cleaned up. I'll talk to you later, beautiful. Okay. Gross. Bye. Bye. Going back to when you were 12 years old, could you imagine seeing that? And how would that have affected your life? I definitely did see that as a 12 year old girl, and it's definitely affected My life. His circle of victims, that's a big circle. Who's he talking to tomorrow? Who's he talking to the next day? How long is it going to take to ID him and make an arrest? Which is what we need to do. We need to ID him. Wow. So this is all part of a documentary that's being posted on YouTube and it's from Sosa. Safe from online sex abuse. And Ariel Winter commented on this video and said, I was a victim of grooming online and in real life. And csa childhood sexual abuse. The effects are lifelong and inescapable. This has always been a problem, but in the digital age, it is only escalating to more extreme levels and in more manipulative ways. The access predators have to all children in this day and age is immeasurable. The issue needs to be brought further into the light and fought with everything we have. These are very real situations with real men committing very real crimes, being arrested by law enforcement, by real law enforcement that we are asked to assist, who are with us every step of the way. Sosa helps get actual convictions and takes these perpetrators off the streets. And it is not easy to do this work, but it is so rewarding to know that we've helped to even protect one child. This is why I like seeing and I like highlighting celebrities who are doing the right thing. They're using their platform to. To expose evils in this world. And I mean if she's a good actress and she is, I mean, imagine using your talent to help protect children. This is incredible. So I just love that. Just really incredible to watch. Meanwhile, some of these other celebrities, I'm going to be getting into these. This one rock lead singer, he is, his name is Ronnie Winters. He's the lead singer of the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. And I looked them up because that band name sound familiar? And I know the one song Face Down. I know that song and he talked about it in the video. So let's watch the video and then we'll get into it.
Ronnie Winter
What's up, Ronnie from Red Jumpsuit here? Just doing like a quick little psa. I thought I was pretty clear about all this stuff in 2020. And as you notice on my Instagram mall, I did not remove any of that stuff from the Stay Woke campaign. I guess you guys are calling it from 2020. Look man, the thing about being woke is you're awake and once you're awake, you can never go to sleep. And not has only has nothing changed, but everything they said was going to happen to woke people has happened. You have done nothing but prove. Here it is again, in case somehow you missed it. Hi, I'm Ronnie Winter. I sing for the red jumpsuit apparatus and I actually follow what Jesus says. If you're a Christian and you're watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you. You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don't want you there. Don't come to my shows. It's awesome that you love Face Down. It's not for you. It's not your song. Okay? It is not your song. If you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows or ever not. Just like these four years. Don't come to my shows because you're going to hear a lot of woke propaganda and you're going to hear like the actual words of Jesus. You're going to see a lot of acceptance from all areas of life and races and you're just going to see a lot of like, harmony. Okay? That's not what you're about. Okay? Don't come. Refunds are available forever. Don't come. Goodbye.
Hailey Carania
Wow. So as I was saying, I, I know that one song face down, but that's. It's not good enough to get me to want to go see this band. I mean, this was. Would you consider them like a one hit wonder band or are they sort of.
Justin
They were, they were like part of a, you know, like All American Rejects. Yeah, like the alternative rock, like 30 Seconds to Mars. They were in that whole. But they weren't even the best one in that, in that genre of music that was coming out in the2010.
Hailey Carania
Right.
Justin
So it's like he's. That guy is playing in front of 800 people in small theaters all across the country and he probably gets on one festival a year.
Hailey Carania
Right.
Justin
Like he's not that big of a deal now.
Hailey Carania
Right. So, I mean, I hate when people use religion as a way to justify their shitty behavior. He is telling an entire group of people to not come to his shows. He is saying you hate. He's saying like, I hate you. You're not really Christian if you think this way or vote that way. And who is he to judge? There are conservatives who are Christian, there are liberals who are Christian, there are Christians who voted for Trump, voted for Harris, didn't vote at all. Who is he to judge? I don't understand this mentality of I want this group of people interacting with my content or buying my tickets or merch. I don't want this people, these people coming and supporting me. He Quite literally said, if you like the song face down, but you voted for Trump, this song is not for you. Don't listen to it. This holier than thou mentality is gross. We have to be able to see through the humanity. We have to see the humanity past politics. We have to be able to share joy in music, sports, comedies, all these other arenas and the cancel culture mob mentality ruins the very outlets that used to bring us closer together. You should be able to go listen to a band with your liberal friend or your conservative friend because you both enjoy this.
Justin
His job is an entertainer.
Hailey Carania
Music shouldn't be partisan 100%.
Justin
Yes, have fun, encourage people to have fun. It's not partisan, exactly.
Hailey Carania
I mean, not to get into all this, but I don't think that Jesus would want him to be dividing people over politics. Jesus invited people that were very different from him, you know, prostitutes and all these people. It's like this is not Christlike at all to just not want people to get together and put their differences aside and, you know, unite because of music or sports or whatever it is. You know, he's not getting to heaven any faster than by being judgmental and exclusionary. But then here is Ryan Tedder. He is the singer for One Republic and his stance is a little different. He was talking about these ICE raids and all these things going on. And he said it's really upsetting that we have these raids going on, but no one is really celebrating the United States army and no one is celebrating all the sacrifice that the United States army and, you know, it was for the 250th birthday and all this. And I want to show you what Ryan Tedder posted on his Instagram story. He is getting slammed, by the way, by buzzfeed and a lot of other people. Oh, this is actually too small for me to read. Can you read it? Oh, it is. Oh. He said I have around 20 family members and grandparents that all fought in wars from the Revolutionary War through World War II, Korea. All politics and parties and righteous indignation aside, it is a super bummer that instead of celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US army and all those who fought and died on our behalf, we're protesting. I haven't been a card carrying political member of either side for 20 years. And I think at this point everything is absurd 99% of the time. But I'd like to say thank you to all of the army service members, active and retired, and those who have given their lives to protect our freedom, to protest wow. So on one hand, we have a lead singer of the Red Jumpsuit apparatus saying, if you voted for Trump, don't come to my shows. Then we have the lead singer of one republic saying thank you to active service men and women and retired servicemen and women who gave their lives to protect our freedom and our right to protest. Now, of course he's getting hate because you know the Buzzfeeds of the world. I don't even know Buzzfeed was still in business. But I'm gonna bring up Ryan Tedder and here are some of the comments on his last post. Just hateful. It's a bummer that Trump made the anniversary about him. My military ancestors would be bothered by that. Not protest. Stick to making shitty music. So disappointed. Read the room or the country. Your Instagram story was so disappointing. As a lifelong fan, we all have family that has fought for our country, but like you, they said fought for our freedom to protest. So don't get mad when we do it. Well, that's one way to lose some followers. Ryan, how do you feel about the veterans that were arrested for peacefully protesting? Damn, man. You too. With a broken heart. Been a fan for you for so long. Since the 2000. Sadly, I will be deleting all of your songs. Ugh. So disappointing. Another tone deaf white male shocker. But props to you for standing with a president that wants to gut veteran benefits that doesn't give a blank about the troops. All not true. People are calling him a clown. It's just interesting that when you say that you don't agree with violent protests and you are saying thank you to servicemen and women who have died for our right to protest. That's the hate that you get.
Justin
Well, obviously the stance is positive, but just give you some differentiation between those two people. I don't even know this dude from. I mean, I know the song from Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Ryan Tedder. He's written about half of everything that you've heard on pop radio in the last. He went to Oral Roberts University. I mean, his band, One Republic is Grammy and you know, platinum. But he wrote Halo for Beyonce.
Hailey Carania
Yeah.
Justin
I mean, anything in pop music this guy has his hands on, he is it in LA music.
Hailey Carania
Yeah. And he.
Justin
And so it's good to see he took a stance like that. I mean, that's good.
Hailey Carania
And he just posted on his story that he has written. He wrote the song Revolving door for Tate McCray. Tate McCray is huge right now. He wrote, he writes songs for Julia Michaels. He, he, you know, he's he writ. He has written the number one most added song of the week right now.
Justin
He's done stuff for Kane Brown, he's done stuff with Coldplay. I mean, he's done stuff for Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson.
Hailey Carania
Yeah.
Justin
I mean, if there's probably 20 songs that play on the radio, you know, in an hour, and he's had his hand in, in one of them every hour.
Hailey Carania
Yeah, like almost a million. Phenomenally successful. Yeah. I mean, I give him a lot of credit. You know, it's not like. It's not even like he got political. All he said was thank you to the troops. We should be thanking the troops instead of like burning stuff down to the ground. He didn't even go that far. So, yeah, that's where we are these days. People getting mad at common sense. I want to just do a quick update before we go to scrolling time, because President Trump will sign another executive order to keep TikTok operational in the United States for another 90 days so the American people can continue to use TikTok with the assurance that their data is safe and secure. The first delay was, of course, January 19th. The app went dead then because the Biden era TikTok ban went into place. Then President Trump, on day one, he was inaugurated and signed an executive order to bring it back. Then TikTok was brought back on January 20, signed an extension for 90 days until April 4. That second 90 day delay was set to expire tomorrow, June 19. Now another 90 day delay is set to take into effect. So scrolling time will be safe until September 16th, and then hopefully we'll get something done in there. But without further ado, scrolling time. All right, what's the first one we got to go into these fake ICE raids. So apparently kids and I, I don't know if anyone is on Roblox. I don't play Roblox. This is not my generation, but younger kids. This is like Gen Alpha, right? Who's playing Roblox? It's all Gen Alpha one.
Justin
Me.
Hailey Carania
Yeah, Well, I know it's not you, but maybe someone in the chat, maybe your grandkids are playing on Roblox. This is a very popular game, but apparently these kids are on Roblox and they are virtually protesting ICE raids. Watch this. They're creating their own ICE raids, complete with fiery police vehicles and this man getting taken away, getting hauled in the back of a truck. So all these kids are, are making these ICE protests and all these raids and, and arrests come to life on this virtual video game. And Taylor Lorenzo, she worked at the Daily Beast. She worked at the Washington Post. She worked at the New York Times. Famously, she is a tech reporter online. She covers a lot of this stuff. And she posted this on X. She interviewed one of these Roblox protesters, she said. On Monday, I reported on anti ice protests taking over Roblox. One of the kids I interviewed texted me this morning to share that the Roblox protesters are now facing police violence. Of course this is fake police violence. She probably could have mentioned that. But this is a text message from a child who plays Robux at 3am to Taylor Lorenz that says, hello, I was in a Roblox ICE protest. But then we all got shot by the police with a sad face. Art imitates life. Life imitates art. It's crazy that this is taking place in real life, but then kids are reenacting it on the Internet. This is we. We live in a time. It is.
Justin
I don't even know what to say about. About that.
Hailey Carania
I saw another because I was doing a little bit of digging on to get find the videos on TikTok and this one woman posted. My son really wanted to go to the Roblox ICE raid, so I had to make him an account. It's like, what? Now these like woke parents are getting involved? I mean, this is just. This is crazy.
Justin
Well, maybe they can start eating healthy in roadblocks with no dyes in their cornflakes or, you know, Cocoa Puffs anymore. You know, just act it all out.
Hailey Carania
Someone said, what is Taylor Lorenz doing texting a child at 3am? I will say the child texted her at 3am but still very interesting. Maybe this kid was up playing Roblox, getting shot by fake police officers and a fake ICE raid. Anyway, now we need to talk about a very real. A very real and very scary Southwest Airlines flight debacle. Let's just watch this. Stay there. No, no. This is where her is. Do not touch her. Look at her. Shut up. Don't touch me. She is grabbing her hair. She cannot do that. Let go. I'm not. I'm not even touching your hair.
Justin
You need to let go right now. You need to let go.
Hailey Carania
911.
Justin
You need to let go right now.
Hailey Carania
Okay, I'm sorry. Black guy. My boyfriend's black, so shut the. My boyfriend's a black guy. My boyfriend's a black. My boyfriend's black. My boyfriend's a black guy. You're joking. Oh my God. Shut the up. Shut the up. Shut the. How many airport mimosas do we think she had? 78 or is this drugs? I don't know. I mean, this is crazy. People just stopped learning how to act in public and on air. Like, I think it was Covid, and people just lost their damn minds. People are just absolutely wilding on. On airlines. People are letting their daughters sing Moana or whatever the hell that was. We played that video. It's just getting too crazy out here. You should be able to have one alcoholic beverage and then get on a flight if you can control yourself. If you can't control yourself, you can't be. People were. All these people were catching strays. She's calling the girl in front of her fat. She's like, hey, black guy. To the black guy behind her. I'm like, what is. What is going on?
Justin
There's no Bose canceling headset that's going to fix that problem.
Hailey Carania
Oh, I would. If I had noise canceling headphones in, they'd be coming out so I could see what was going on immediately. I'm taking my earpods out. I'm like, oh, what's going on? Where's the drama? And she's trash, by the way. Oh. So I'm trying to. I'm trying to pull this video up on my iPad and it says sensitive content. Some people may find this video disturbing. Skip video or watch anyway. I'm gonna go watch anyway. And here's what people are saying. Can we pull up the comments? God knows not to put me in these situations. Spitting on me would be a ticket to God. My heart absolutely breaks for the lady sitting down. She was so calm, but those words were so hurtful. I just want to hug her. I mean, she got her hair pulled by a loon. I fear we would be on the no fly list together. I need the lady getting attacked to teach me self control because what the rage I feel right now. Omg, the spitting. I fear I would be in jail. That poor woman. That was Corinna Kopf who said that spitting on someone is assault. I press charges for show. Look at her outfit. Meanwhile, what is she wearing? I mean, she has, like, a Ed Hardy hat on, and she looks like she's going to a Jersey Shore themed party. This girl's trash. Just absolutely trash. Why is everyone so quiet? I would have gotten arrested. That's crazy because Southwest doesn't assign seats. I mean, she could have just gone anywhere. Just get. If you don't want to sit next to a fat lady, don't go somewhere else. You can ask literally anyone. No one paid for their damn seat on Southwest. We talked About Southwest.
Justin
Somebody in the chat says seat 11A.
Hailey Carania
Yeah, all she needs to do is go find seat 11A. Hopefully the woman getting assaulted went and found her safe space in seat 11A. Yeah, you've got to scroll with the homies every night to know what we're talking about. These are inside jokes now. All right, let's play this video of these boomer protesters because this is insane. Your hands off my body. Protect our democracy. Our rights are in danger. Give us back our constitution. Protect our parts. Can we play that again? Keep your hands off my body. Protect our democracy. Our rights are in danger. Give us back our constitution. Protect our people. Hurts. Very low energy.
Justin
Yeah, those last two must have been the understudies in that play. I mean, the. The constitution one was a little. Yeah, she might have needed another. Another coffee or the first one.
Hailey Carania
Hands off my body, lady. Nobody is touching you. Don't worry about it. Don't worry.
Justin
Pass.
Hailey Carania
Yeah, hard pass, but yeah.
Justin
Justin said the hands of Father Time are touching her body.
Hailey Carania
I can't silent. I can't silent laugh on a podcast. No one will know that I'm laughing. If people watch it.
Justin
If they got paid $200, if I paid them $200 to do that in a protest, I'm immediately going and trying to get 150 back because that was just totally. No delivery. No delivery.
Hailey Carania
This is horrible. I mean, and what are these people? She's. What were they saying? Get your hands off my body. One of them was protect our parks. One of them. I mean, they can't even come together for one. Cause it's always just all these random things. I. I don't know. Anyway, I don't know what they're all upset about, but here are some of the comments. Grandma's offer meds again. Meet the Karens. Did she say, keep your hands off my body? Why do they always look so alike? I don't think you have any worry. Saturday Night Live needs to use this. Republicans are having a New Kings rally on July 4th. That's funny. Democracy. You let democratic leadership invalidate 12 million primary votes. Golden girls causing havoc. America has no kings, but it finally has a president. This could be a Trump commercial. Straight to the comment section. That's how I feel when I see something like this. I go straight to the comment section. And then I know that I'm. I'm not alone. But, yeah, this could be a Trump commercial. It could be an SNL skit. It could be a Trump commercial. It's just wild. Well, we're at an hour so I'll just save everything for tomorrow. This is like such a massive scrolling time that I didn't get to it yesterday, didn't get to it all today. Nightly Scroll with Hayley: Episode 72 Summary - "Dem Leaders Want YOU to Fund Nonsensical Policies"
Released on June 18, 2025
Introduction
In Episode 72 of Nightly Scroll with Hayley, host Hayley Carania delivers a passionate critique of recent Democratic policies and actions, focusing on what she perceives as the party's misguided priorities and misuse of taxpayer funds. Throughout the episode, Hayley addresses a variety of topics, ranging from local political maneuvers in New York and Chicago to national debates on transgender rights and societal issues. Her commentary is interspersed with personal anecdotes, social media interactions, and reactions to current events.
1. Democratic Policies in New York: The Arrest of Brad Lander
Hayley opens the episode by discussing the recent arrest and subsequent release of Brad Lander, the New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate. She criticizes Lander's actions in supporting illegal immigrants by linking arms with a detained individual and demanding judicial warrants (00:00–04:57).
"Democrats everywhere, as we know, are showing up to ICE facilities... Kathy Hochul wants New Yorkers to pay for the legal fees of criminals." (02:45)
Hayley condemns Governor Kathy Hochul's pledge of $50 million in taxpayer funds to cover legal services for undocumented immigrants. She argues that this expenditure is irrational and burdens ordinary New Yorkers who oppose funding what she describes as "criminal aliens."
2. Chicago's Reparations Task Force and Mayor Brad Johnson
Transitioning to Chicago, Hayley discusses Mayor Brad Johnson's controversial remarks accusing President Trump of attempting to eliminate Black people and LGBTQ+ rights (04:57–06:47).
"President Trump is working to eliminate black history... and he's attacking the LGBTQ." (04:57)
She further scrutinizes Johnson's establishment of a reparations task force, funded by $500,000 from Chicago's budget negotiations, aimed at addressing historical injustices against Black Chicagoans. Hayley criticizes the impracticality and perceived unfairness of this initiative, questioning its relevance to slavery and its impact on white taxpayers.
"Reparations for people who were not slaves and their ancestors may or may not have been slaves. That is stupid." (06:00)
3. Whoopi Goldberg's Controversial Comparison
Hayley highlights a heated exchange involving Whoopi Goldberg, who compared the experience of being Black in America to that of women in Iran. She vehemently disagrees with Goldberg's assertion, arguing that the United States in 2025 is fundamentally different from Iran in terms of civil liberties and personal freedoms (12:28–14:00).
"Whoopi Goldberg says that being black in the United States of America in 2025 is the same as women living in Tehran in 2025. I can't even imagine what was going through Alyssa Farah Griffin's head during this exchange." (13:00)
4. Supreme Court Upholds Trans Youth Care Ban
Addressing the Supreme Court's recent decision to uphold the ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth in Tennessee, Hayley offers her support for the ruling. She interprets the decision as a protective measure for children, countering CNN's portrayal of it as detrimental to the transgender community (21:28–27:21).
"Most Children go through puberty and struggle with that process... It's not the answer to affirm their gender identity." (26:00)
Hayley emphasizes that the ban is a safeguard against what she views as experimental and harmful medical practices, asserting that trans youth require treatment rather than affirmation.
5. Celebrities and Political Stances
Hayley discusses the political activism of various celebrities, contrasting Ariel Winter's efforts to expose child predators with Ronnie Winter's anti-Trump sentiments.
Ariel Winter's Advocacy: Hayley praises Ariel Winter for using her platform to combat child sexual abuse, highlighting her undercover work to expose predators.
"If she's a good actress and she is... using your talent to help protect children. This is incredible." (38:45)
Ronnie Winter's Exclusionary Stance: Conversely, she criticizes Ronnie Winter of the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus for barring Trump voters from his shows, labeling his behavior as hypocritical and un-Christian.
"He is using religion to justify their shitty behavior... if you like the song face down, but you voted for Trump, this song is not for you." (40:06–42:09)
Ryan Tedder's Praise for the Military: Hayley lauds Ryan Tedder of One Republic for acknowledging and honoring U.S. servicemen and women, despite facing backlash from some fans.
"It's good to see he took a stance like that. I mean, that's good." (46:22)
6. Kraft Heinz Eliminates Artificial Dyes
Addressing corporate responsibility, Hayley shares news that Kraft Heinz will remove artificial dyes and colors from its U.S. product lines by 2027. She views this move positively, associating it with a broader conservative push for healthier food options.
"They are no longer going to have artificial dyes, FD and C colors... effective immediately." (30:31)
Hayley connects this policy change to ongoing efforts to combat the influence of Big Pharma and promote public health.
7. Unresolved Criminal Cases and Conspiracy Theories
Hayley touches on perplexing criminal cases, such as the alleged killer in Minnesota, expressing skepticism about the inconsistencies in his financial claims and circumstances surrounding the crimes (16:12–20:24).
"This is like one of the craziest stories and no one has any answers." (19:37)
She also delves into conspiracy theories regarding unsolved shootings, highlighting public distrust in official narratives.
8. Social Media and Technology Discussions
Hayley updates listeners on the status of the TikTok ban, noting that President Trump plans to extend the platform's operational status in the U.S. by another 90 days to ensure data security (28:15–30:28).
"President Trump will sign another executive order to keep TikTok operational in the United States for another 90 days." (28:15)
Additionally, she comments on the Blue Sky app, emphasizing its role as a hub for conservative discourse and expressing skepticism about its user base.
"JD Vance posted this on Blue Sky... It's the Supreme Court." (27:27)
9. Southwest Airlines Incident
Hayley recounts a disturbing incident on a Southwest Airlines flight, where a passenger violently confronts a Black man over his appearance. She criticizes the behavior, attributing it to post-COVID societal changes and diminished public decorum (52:55–56:12).
"People are just letting their daughters sing Moana or whatever the hell that was." (53:00)
10. Virtual ICE Raids on Roblox
Highlighting the intersection of online gaming and political activism, Hayley discusses how children on Roblox are virtually protesting ICE raids, mirroring real-life tensions (49:31–51:57).
"Kids are reenacting ICE raids on Roblox... a child who plays Robux at 3am..." (50:00)
She questions the involvement of parents in facilitating these virtual protests, viewing it as an extension of progressive indoctrination.
11. Scrolling Time and Audience Interaction
