Hello everyone and welcome to Nightly Scroll. I just saw someone in the chat. I've been in the chat for the last 10 minutes to chatting with everyone. So if you want to join us in the chat before the show and during the show, you have to do it on rumble. Rumble.com Haley is the only place you can watch Nightly Scroll. Of course you can listen whenever you want on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. I will use this moment to just remind everyone a five star review never hurt anyone. It can only help. So. So if you have nice things to say, you should go over and leave a five star review on those platforms. It would help me. And of course, if you're watching on Rumble right now, just thumbs up. I love a thumbs up. But someone in the chat just said, haley, I just followed you again on TikTok. What does that mean? Did you unfollow me? And you have to follow me again. So if you. I don't know who that was in the chat, but let me know if you wanna follow me on TikTok. You gotta do it. I'm at Haley Karenia on all platforms. There's my socials right there. So at Haley Karenia on all the socials that matter. Not Facebook, not Truth Social, but not threads. But I'm on Truth Social, Instagram, Tick Tock and X, of course. So anyway, I, I have to start off the show with my Princess Bride review because all of you wanted me to watch the Princess Bride. You were just shocked. You were gobsmacked that I had never seen it, although it came out many years before I was born. But I did give it a shot. I did give it a shot. I watched it. When? On Friday night, I believe it was. I watched it on Friday night and I don't want you guys to get mad at me, but it was, it was a good movie. I will say it is a good movie. It is a cute, feel good movie. I didn't find it that funny. Am I supposed to find it like slap my thigh funny?
Justin
Yeah, I mean it's, it's, it's pretty funny.
Haley Karenia
Really.
Justin
I would, I would think that it's pretty funny. I would say the word that describes that movie is enchanting. It's just an overall feel good.
Haley Karenia
Yeah, it's cute. Yeah, it's cute. It's feel good. And everyone is quoting the movie in the chat. I, I don't know. Maybe I need to watch it again. I don't know if I find it that quotable. I guess it is inconceivable. Inconceivable. I could see that being a quotable moment, but some of the other ones that people were tweeting at me, I just didn't really. I just didn't get it. My name is Blah blah. Yeah.
Justin
Yeah. Justin's very familiar with this movie. I grew up with this movie.
Haley Karenia
Justin's quoting it.
Justin
I can't. Yeah. So I'm a little, like. It's not, like, a letdown. I'm glad you watched it. But, like, I figured that it would be a little. You. You would crack up at it, maybe a little more.
Haley Karenia
I didn't crack up at it. I liked it. I liked it a lot. I. I would give it an 8 out of 10. I would give it an 8 out of 10. So that's a great rating. I would say that is better than average. That is a passing score, but I just. I don't know. It was okay. I'm glad I watched it and thank you for sending it to me. So, on that note, also, I want to say thank you to anyone who listened on radio yesterday. I hosted Vince's radio show with Jim and had such a fun time doing that. So if you were listening along with us, I do appreciate it. Hopefully, I get to do that again. I'm not saying that Vince should take off, but I do really enjoy, you know, seeing all of you and in a different time slot, in a different hour. I didn't have to put on my makeup yesterday. I was just sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no makeup on.
Justin
So do you have a good time doing that? Seriously? What was that like? I, like, tell everybody the difference maybe between doing the. Like, the live podcast and then doing the radio.
Haley Karenia
Well, the lot. Well, it's both live, so you have to know what you're talking about. You have to prep, of course, ahead of time. Can't really wing it, but Jim made it really easy, so he gets you in and out of the segments. All I have to do is show up and. And bring my personality and my takes, which is easy for me.
Justin
Oh. So. But Jim's the best, so, like, he can. He can hook you up.
Haley Karenia
But I will say, you know, maybe one of these days I will host it, but I have to get used to the segments, the heart outs, getting into the commercial breaks, things like that. But I think one day I'll. I'll. I'll get the hang of it.
Justin
Yeah, that seems like it's way different, so.
Haley Karenia
Yeah, it was pretty cool. All righty. We should get into today's show. President Trump wants to Clean up these dirty and dangerous deep blue cities. And of course, the left is fighting him at every turn. A Democrat in Connecticut was caught shoplifting for the second time, setting a great example for his constituents. Of course, the insidious reasons for why Democrats are encouraging illegal immigration. Plus, old man Biden apparently couldn't keep up with his bear schedule. And certain events and appearances had to be rearranged to accommodate his low step count. Then Vice President Harris snubbed the Vance family ahead of inauguration. A failed reality TV star turned rabid liberal podcaster is going viral for her very own basket of deplorables. Tight moment. Put your phones on. Do not disturb Nightly scroll starts now. All right, the National Guard is on the ground in D.C. today as part of President Trump's push to clean up these Democrat run cities. And he's starting close to home, of course, because after, as the president, he can take control of D.C. there are certain things that President Trump can do and you know, in other blue cities, but he won't have as much control over them as he does D.C. and you know, he said this a few weeks ago where he announced that in cities like New York, he's going to cut federal funding for social programs that don't work. So if New York City, for example, has a program, a social program where, where they have these safe injection sites where drug addicts and homeless people can shoot up and they have access to Narcan and things like that in the vicinity, that's an example of a social program. I'm not saying it's completely useless because it's better that they're, these people are not overdosing, but this is not making the city great again. So that's an example of a social program that in my opinion, not does not work. So if President Trump gets the feeling like these taxpayer funded social programs aren't helping these cities be great again, well, he's not going to provide that federal funding. I am there for it. As someone who lived in New York City and I lived through the Mayor de Blasio decriminalizing public urination and all this stuff, I can tell you I'm all for it. If President Trump wants to pull funding for stuff that doesn't work, that makes a ton of sense to me. So in D.C. attorney General Pam Bondi is now in control of the Metropolitan Police Department and 800 National Guardsmen have been deployed to help fight crime. However, Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith was a little confused. Listen to this.
Justin
That's what the chain of command is.
Pamela Smith
Now, what does that mean.
Justin
Well, is it Pam Bondi speaking to the mayor, how does this work?
Pamela Smith
So the executive order is clear. The president has requested MPD services and are our home rule charter outlines the process. The president designated Attorney General Bondi as his proxy to.
Justin
To.
Pamela Smith
To request services through me.
Haley Karenia
So Police Chief Pamela Smith could not answer the question. Do you. What's the chain of command? She said, what's that not. Oh, let me check. Like she was asking, what does that mean? What does chain of command mean?
Justin
It's that bad?
Haley Karenia
That's bad. I have very little faith. I mean, are you proud of the. If you're, if you were living in D.C. and this is your police chief, are you proud because she's been touted as the first black police chief in D.C. i would not be proud. I would be a little concerned. If this was the police chief, what is the chain of command? Not only did she not know the answer, but doesn't know what that means. What does that mean? That's concerning. Before becoming the first black police chief, she was the former US park police chief and then she was hired by the Metropolitan Metropolitan Police Department as their new chief equity officer. So now this is all starting to make sense. Maybe she didn't get the job because she was supposed to get the job. Maybe she got the job because she was checking a box. I would like my police chief to know what chain of command means. I think most people over the age of 18 should probably know what that means. If you're in college, you should probably know what that means. Wild so now Mayor Muriel Bowser has been accepting of this help, publicly thanking President Trump and the law enforcement officers for making the city safe. But if you asked the mainstream media, this is what they'll tell you. Cops don't make streets safer. Watch this.
Kyra Phillips
You don't think more police make streets safer?
Pamela Smith
No, Joe, I'm a black woman in America. I do not always think that more police make streets safer. When you walk down the streets of Georgetown, you don't see a police officer on every corner, but you don't feel unsafe. So what is it about talking about places like Southeast D.C. right, Ward 8, if you will, that people say, well, we need more officers to make us safe. I think we have to rethink what safety means in America.
Haley Karenia
We gotta rethink what safety means, which there's no need for us to redefine safety or what safety means. Safety means safety. It's just. It means what it's always meant. It means you can walk down the street and not feel unsafe. You're not going to get carjacked, you're not going to get mugged, you're not going to get murdered. This is what safety means. And when she says that cops don't make streets safer because she's a black woman, so that's how she feels. Cops crack down on crime. That's their purpose, right? They arrest criminals, therefore they do make streets safer for law abiding citizens. Now, if you're in a gang or you're a drug dealer, or if you steal or loot in your free time, you might not agree on, but you know, cops probably kill your vibe if that's your sort of thing. If you're running amok in the streets, you're, you have, you know, you're doing hood rat shit with your friends. As the kids say, you probably don't like cops. You don't want cops on the, on the sidewalk. You don't want cops on every street corner. If a cop stops you and you fight with the cop because you have a lack of respect for authority, you might have a bad interaction with a police officer, but that is not the norm. If you are a law abiding citizen. Having more police on the streets should be welcome. This should be bipartisan. Left, right, center. Who doesn't want to feel more safe? If there's a police officer or a National Guardsman on every corner or on most corners, criminals are not going to be able to get away with much because there's going to be law enforcement around. But the left likes to push these statistics that show that homicide numbers and violent crime numbers are down in D.C. apparently it is a 30 year record low for homicide rates and violent crime. It spiked in 2023. But now we're at these levels, lower levels. There are a few problems with these statistics and this narrative though, because people don't feel safe. Here is ABC anchor Kyra Phillips sharing her firsthand experiences as well as her coworkers experiences with crime in downtown D.C. watch.
Joe
We've been talking so much about the numbers and yeah, usually that's how you play devil's advocate, is you talk about, oh well, stats say crime is down. However, I can tell you firsthand here in downtown D.C. where we work right here around our bureau, just in the past six months, you know, there were two people shot, one person died literally two blocks down here from the bureau. It was within the last two years that I actually was jumped walking just two blocks down from here. And then just this morning, one of my coworkers said her Car was stolen a block away from the bureau. So we can talk about the numbers going down, but crime is happening every single day because we're all experiencing it firsthand while working and living down here.
Haley Karenia
Okay, so that doesn't really help the Democrats narrative that everything is hunky dory, nothing to see here. She literally said this morning my co worker's car was carjacked. What? This is the reality, right? It doesn't matter what the statistics say. This is the same thing with polling. Like it doesn't matter what the numbers say necessarily. It matters how people feel. Violent crime may be down, but that doesn't mean the problem is solved. There were 99 homicides in D.C. so far this year. That's not comforting. Not to mention nonviolent crime is still crime. So if people are getting robbed or people are doing drugs out in the open because so many crimes have been decriminalized, people may very well still feel unsafe. And that is obviously the case for Kyra Phillips. She's also, she is FOX reporter John Roberts wife. Did you know that?
Justin
Really?
Haley Karenia
I did not know that. Yeah.
Justin
Whoa. I did not know that.
Haley Karenia
Yeah, I was looking into it because I didn't know who she was. So I wanted to have her number for the show. So I'm like doing some research and she's married to John Roberts. Interesting. Maybe she's conservative, low key on the.
Justin
Well, I mean in that segment she was, she was making the case.
Haley Karenia
So anyway, but also on CNN there was a moment of clarity maybe. So Alex Thompson was on this panel. Alex Thompson, he's the one that wrote that book with what's his face, Jake Tapper about original sin and Biden, you know, we, we knew all along that Biden was, you know, dying. So he wrote that back book. So he's on this panel as well as Kristen Soltis Anderson. And here is what they had to say about. I just thought this was interesting. They made a good point about, you know, these numbers and how the numbers don't really, don't really. It doesn't matter what the numbers say if it's not what people are feeling. And they kind of tied this phenomenon with how the Democrats were pushing this awesome economy under Biden. So here's what they had to say. Watch this.
Alex Thompson
What's striking is that national Democrats are not following Mayor Bowser's lead on this and that Nashville Democrats have been insisting, just look at the statistics. We have 30 year, you know, 30 year low, you know, violent crime. Whereas Mayor Bowser is talking about, hey, we need to get 500 more police officers on the streets. We'd like the federal government to help us rebuild our jail. We also. She's talking about some of the reforms she did to make it so accused violent offenders don't get out of jail pretrial. So there is this disconnect and I've talked to Democratic strategists today that think that, you know, national Democrats saying look at the statistics is sort of a tone deaf way to react.
Haley Karenia
And it's very much. Isn't this the exact same problem that Democrats had last year? Look at the statistics. We promise you the economy is great. While people are going to. It doesn't feel great to me. That feels like a lot of this conversation around crime that you can point to statistics all day long that say, hey, D.C. is safer this year than it was last year. But do people feel safe? Bottom line, if they don't, they may be more okay with something that would otherwise be considered extraordinary. Right. Because just because homicides and violent crime may be down. I mean, we just saw with big balls getting attacked. He was trying to stop a carjacking in D.C. the Kyra Phillips said her coworker's car was stolen that morning. So again, this is obviously something that is happening around D.C. recently. Like as recently as this morning and last week and a lot and a lot.
Justin
I mean, this is not like the. You think about this two high profile people that have had, I mean, not just like think about bananas thrown.
Haley Karenia
Normal, regular people are dealing with it, right? So there's a reason why the statistics say one thing and the reality of how people feel says another thing. And it is because the crime statistics in D.C. were being falsified. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that Michael Pullman was placed on paid administrative leave in the middle of May. You want to know why? He was falsifying crime data deliberately. And the union claims that police supervisors in the department, they are manipulating crime data to make it appear like violent crime has fallen compared to last year and the year before that. But it is not true. And apparently, according to this, it is not just this guy Michael Pullman, who's on leave. Union officials say that there is a larger trend of manipulating crime statistics. So now things are starting to make sense. If they're lying about the crime being down, maybe that's why people don't feel like the crime is down, because it's not. And don't worry, liberal Karens are here to step in. They don't want homeless people to be shipped somewhere else or be given Housing anywhere else. They are here to help with whistles. Watch this.
Jennifer Welch
It's August 11th. I am outside Union Station in D.C. where folks on the ground are telling me that they are about to start rounding up unhoused people tonight. The folks here at the encampment from Union Station are handing out these whistles to give to unhoused folks. That way they have a way to call for help if they are kidnapped by federal law enforcement. So if you're in the area and able to swing by right in front of Union Station, they have tons of these. Bring them back to folks in your community. So they have a way to call for help if you are not in D.C. i'm going to tag Free DC Project. They are an excellent organization helping the community here locally. Definitely follow them, support them if you can and help spread the word because this is how a fascist authoritarian regime starts. So I will be on the ground in D.C. reporting on the shit show happening. So stay tuned.
Haley Karenia
The best way to fight fascism is with whistling.
Justin
Tune in. Reporter on the ground hear you live. Idiot would gives whistles to non home people.
Haley Karenia
How we fight fascism. She's like dangling these like little kid toy. Like this is like something that you would pull out of the. You're. You're getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist. You're six years old and they hand you like a, a bin of toys and this is something that you would pull out also. She calls these people unhoused. Homeless, obviously.
Justin
Yeah. I mean, what.
Haley Karenia
Unhoused means homeless. Homeless means unhoused. There's like they have just decided that the word homeless is offensive. So they have to come up with another one that means the exact same thing. That you don't have somewhere to live. You're homeless.
Justin
What are you gonna find? I mean, I give out a thousand whistles and you're gonna see a thousand whistles laying on the ground that somebody else is gonna have to pick up.
Haley Karenia
Obviously. This is like I lived in New York City during COVID People would hand out masks to homeless people. Guess what they're doing with them? Wiping their behinds with them.
Justin
Yeah, that's what I looked at, Justin. And I was like, how many, how many false whistles are going to be blown by people using the bathroom on the curb?
Haley Karenia
Totally. Can we just talk about like, let's see this through, Right? So you give a homeless person a whistle and a cop is coming and they're going to move you somewhere else and give you housing. You're going to blow the whistle and what's the what's the cop gonna do? Stop.
Justin
Yeah, I heard a whistle.
Haley Karenia
I heard a whistle. And then what's gonna happen? Karen comes and runs and saves the day and, and is gonna impede on the cops of what they're gonna do.
Justin
I guess, I mean, I don't, I don't know. I hope there's. I mean, she seems like she was on the ground ready to report, like, you know, millions of people watching her hand out kindergarten rainbow whistles to the homeless population, the unhoused.
Haley Karenia
If you are in the seat and need some on the ground reporters to do some help. I need some help. If you see a rainbow whistle on the ground or in a trash can, I need you to take a picture of it. We need to, we need an update on how Whistlegate is going because something tells me that, not that we're fighting fascism, because this isn't fascism, but something tells me that you can't fight fake fascism with, with kid whistles.
Justin
Give this girl just for two seconds the benefit of the doubt. What does, what does she do all day? So she's sitting at home and she's, let's say she's working hard. She has an online job at home. She's doing stuff online and then she gets done with her home office job and she's like, you know what? I'm gonna make a difference. And so she goes to Party World.
Haley Karenia
Join the show. Put yourself on camera so people can.
Justin
Yeah, so she goes. So she goes to. Thank you for permission to do that. I appreciate it. Everybody was just wondering.
Haley Karenia
I wasn't forgetting who's talking. It's just this like voice of God.
Justin
But like, what is she, what is she thinking? I mean, it, like, this doesn't make any sense. It doesn't do anything good for anybody. And, and, but, but in her mind, she's, you know what I mean? It's. The Nobel Peace Prize is going to be handed to the whistle hand outer.
Haley Karenia
And she's encouraging people to get in the way of law enforcement, which is a crime. So. Yeah.
Justin
Anyway, will she blow her own whistle if the police comes to arrest her?
Haley Karenia
Oh, man. It's just someone said, I work in D.C. i will keep my eye out for whistles. Thank you, Chat. We're gonna keep, we're gonna keep on whistlegate. We're gonna, we're gonna keep our ear to the ground and see what, see what we can hear. I want to take a quick break to tell you about the sponsors for tonight's episode. First up is blackout coffee. Haley Karenia
All right, we have to talk about this Democrat because, you know, we're on the topic of Democrats and crime, and for some reason they just don't, I don't know, they don't want to fix crime. And maybe this is why. Maybe they've just. They're living a life of crime and this is why. So this is a Connecticut Democrat. He has been busted twice for shoplifting at the same target. The same target. So his name, he's a state representative in Connecticut, he's a Democrat. And this is a state Rep. Ragheeb Ali Brennan. And he turned himself into cops. This is maybe two weeks ago. And he was previously arrested in June. So first he failed to scan $26.69 worth of merchandise at Target. Then the second time, it was about like $50, let's see, $54.55. So he was released at first on a promise to appear in Court. And now in between, he has been caught once again. Now Republicans in Connecticut are saying this guy has to step down because how are you. How can you be a representative of your community? How can you represent your district and, and be a shoplifter and a, and a criminal?
Justin
$20 something dollars. Just pay $20.
Haley Karenia
Just pay 30 bucks. And if you can't pay it, then you can't, you can't own it.
Justin
Yeah, don't buy it.
Haley Karenia
Don't buy it if you can't pay for it. I just don't understand. Someone in the chat said so he's a kleptomaniac. What's his guy's name? It's Ragheeb Ali Brennan. That's his name. Connecticut state rep. Just insane. It's totally insane.
Justin
Maybe he needs to go to Aldi, get things a little. Little cheaper.
Haley Karenia
Cheaper than Target? Yeah, I don't do my food shopping at Target. I don't really go to Target much. I, I went, I don't know, maybe like a few months ago. But I don't, I don't like, shop in stores really. I shop online mostly.
Justin
And they doordash you your food.
Haley Karenia
I don't doordash that often. Sometimes I do.
Justin
Well, either way, this guy's, this guy's running through these scanners and they watch those things like a hawk.
Haley Karenia
I know.
Justin
I mean, they totally know cameras. Absolutely.
Haley Karenia
On them. I mean, you're not getting away with it. It. You're not getting away with it. And especially not that, you know, you would see this guy's face and say, oh, that's, you know, it's not like a. He's done it twice. I know he's done it twice. But this isn't someone that you would see and you would recognize like a, A federal. On the federal level. Like, you're not gonna. Someone on.
Justin
Yeah, he's probably a municipal representative and not necessarily representative.
Haley Karenia
State representative. So it's like, yeah, he's a state representative. He's not, he's not in D.C. okay, so he's more local.
Justin
Yeah.
Haley Karenia
So maybe people wouldn't recognize him. But still, I don't, I don't know.
Justin
I don't get two times.
Haley Karenia
I mean, you shouldn't, you shouldn't steal, but especially not if you're a representative of the community and you're in politics and you're a public figure of some sorts of just insane. Totally insane. Now let's talk about Omar Fateh. Omar Fateh is like the Zoran Mamdani in Minneapolis. They are these Progressive socialist candidates. And Omar Fateh has now said that he is campaigning on shielding illegal immigrants from the government. A hostile immigrant federal government. That's what he is saying. So he is running on this, he is running on illegal immigration. Like this is one of his top campaign issues, which is crazy because these people cannot vote. So what Omar Fateh is doing is pandering to these woke liberal, probably white Karens who care about the issue of illegal immigration. But I mean you're not getting illegal immigrants to vote. So again he's just doing this to, to pander to the Democrat party. But this is more sinister because the Democrat party is planning something much bigger. And we all, we all know this. But here's what Beto o' Rourke said about what the Democrat party plans to do the next time they have power. Watch this.
Justin
Next time we win power, we're going to drive that car like we stole it.
Haley Karenia
We're going to legalize every dreamer, every dreamer's par, every hard working American doing.
Justin
Backbreaking work that makes this country so.
Haley Karenia
Goddamn great in the first place. Even greater as US Citizens. Now the Democrats want all of these illegal aliens to become citizens because when they do become citizens they will vote Democrat. This is kind of this vicious cycle that we've been warning about for years. You know, they're importing future voters and listen, I want all immigrants to be legal. Most Republicans would agree with me. We want everyone who is here to be a legal citizen. So which is this is why the Trump administration is doing what they're doing. They're implementing the self deportation policy because if you came here under the guise of, you know, you can just come here and mooch off of us forever because the Biden administration told you to, that's not working anymore. So they have implemented the self deportation policy that says if you're here illegally you can use the CBP home app, you can go home, wherever home is and then you can come and apply and do it the right way. If we catch you, if you stay and you do not self deport, you are leaving, you are until you know someone like Beto o' Rourke or whoever the next Democrat is who's going to be in power will say, you know, they'll just undo whatever the Trump administration did. But Democrats want every illegal in this country to stay because in the event of some mass amnesty situation, they will win and we'll never win another election ever again. So this is why we cannot move an inch on this issue. There will be no mass amnesty. I don't Want to hear this from Republicans? No. If you came here illegally, go back to the end of the line and try again the right way. A lot of people come here for 20 years, and for whatever reason, in the decades that they were here, they just don't attempt to become a citizen. If you want to come here and live out the American dream, by all means, do it the right way, the legal way, and we will welcome you with open arms. Do it the wrong way, and I don't think we should be rewarding that behavior with citizenship. Even if the Biden administration told you it was okay, it is not. This should not be rewarded. I do think that the process should be streamlined, but that doesn't mean cutting corners on vetting. If people want to come here, start a business, start a family, have a better life, they should be granted citizenship so long as they follow the law. If you skip a hearing or you don't update your visas or your paperworks or whatever, you are subject to deportation. And I no longer have sympathy for you. Now, sympathy and catch and release type policies is what leads to situations like this. So ICE has just nabbed a child sexual predator because Rhode island local authorities let him go. This was earlier last month, and the Portsmouth Police Department arrested this guy, a Guatemalan national who was charged with felony sex crimes against a Rhode island minor. Right. And he was arrested by local authorities and then let go the same day. The same day. So then ICE had to pick up the slack and get rid of this guy and take him off the streets. It's totally insane that ICE has to do the job that local law enforcement should be doing. And it's not like they didn't catch the guy. They. They had him and they released him back into the. Into the wild. And I say that because child sexual abusers are animals. Animals, monsters. So the fact that Rhode island authorities caught him, it is unconscionable that they can catch him for. For these crimes. Patronizing a minor for commercial sexual activity, indecent solicitation of a child, and procurement of sexual conduct for a fee. You're telling me that Rhode island authorities caught this guy and they said, same day, have at it. If I was living in Portsmouth, I'd be a little concerned about who else was in the area that might have been caught. And then go on your merry way, just keep assaulting children, no problem. And he shouldn't even been here anyway. Imagine being the parent of that child. And this is an illegal alien that should never have gotten here. And according to ice, this guy entered The US As a gotaway. They don't know when, they don't know where. He wasn't inspected at all, not vetted or paroled by any immigration authorities. So wherever, whenever this guy jumped the border, no idea where he came from, what his background is, if he's a criminal in wherever his home country is, no idea. So that's Democrat policies for you. That's sanctuary city policies for you. Not for me. I'm glad I live in Florida. I'm glad I live in Florida. I'm just going to say that. So speaking of stealing and all these, all these crimes that we're talking about, there's a theme to tonight's show, and it's criminals. But the irs. I have an update which is actually, it's a good update because the Biden administration, do you remember they had these 80,000 new IRS agents. They wanted to just police everybody. And they wanted to police our Venmo transactions and our PayPal transactions. Anything over $600, they wanted to be reported to the irs as a 1099. Now, this is the good news, because that was supposed to go into effect. They were kind of soft launching it and slow rolling it, the Biden administration. But it was going to go into full effect in 2026. Now the one big, beautiful bill undoes that completely. So now we don't need to worry about, about the IRS policing our Venmo transactions or our PayPal transaction. These small purchases and things like that. Anything under $600 don't have to worry about it. Now they're returning in this one big, beautiful bill, returning to $20,000. That is the new threshold. That was the threshold and now we're returning to it. If you're making a transaction of $20,000 or more, then you have to report it to the irs. That is. That makes sense to me. This was reasonable.
Justin
This was huge in, like, the music business. It's a fact that that was a huge deal because most, most of these, like, pay to do a session. It cost $125. You get it the same day, right? Nobody wants to write a check or do anything like that. So it's just totally VIN Mode or totally, like, you know, PayPal. And so that was the most annoying thing when that, when they did this because everybody had to claim, you know, you're going to get paid more than $600, you're a session person, but not 20.
Haley Karenia
And then if you're taxed on it, you're not making that much. So if you're a freelance, if You're a freelance employee, a business owner. Let's say you're a babysitter. Let's say you clean houses. Let's, I mean, think anything, anything that you would just Venmo someone for. Oh, thanks for doing this for me, handyman. Things like that. This is way better. Way better. And obviously, we know all of these other amazing things in the one big, beautiful bill that help freelancers and people who make tips, like waiters and waitresses. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime. This is going to be a huge win for freelancers, for people who make tips. This is wonderful. So I am personally very excited about this. And another thing, so I was reading this article about it, and under the Biden administration's thing, like, if you said thank you in your Venmo, like you can Venmo someone and leave a. A memo for it so people know what it's for. And if you said thank you for your service, it would like, flag the irs. And they, they would say, oh, this is like, this is a biz. This is a service. We have to go. Look at this. That's just based on what you say. That could be like, I could tell a friend, like, thanks for a good time as a joke. And the IRS would flag it because you're saying thank you for something. So this is more than just them searching everything. And you have to report everything that you do. Over 600. Like, they're looking at what you're saying, too. So this is all undid, which is. Or undone, I should say, which is wonderful. And this also reminded me, just on the memo front, I got kicked off of Venmo for a brief period of time because my friend and I, we. She ordered phone cases. We wanted matching phone cases. So it was just a joke, but we Venmoed each other and. Or whoever bought it, or I Venmoed her or she Venmoed me. And the memo was supplies for Kim Jong Un's surprise party.
Justin
Just oddly specific.
Haley Karenia
Just as it was a joke, like an inside joke. And we both got banned temporarily from Venmo because I guess they thought that we were seriously throwing a surprise party for Kim Jong Un, which obviously not the case.
Justin
Yeah, he'd have a little bit of trouble getting. Getting over here for the party and.
Haley Karenia
We would have trouble getting over there.
Justin
Yeah. Yeah. You'd have to sneak in. Yeah. You guys are backpacking through North China to drop in.
Haley Karenia
Yeah. So anyway, if you're. And this was before, how did you get back on thing? I think it was Just a temporary. Like, we appealed it. And then they were like, oh, okay, it's a joke.
Justin
Wow.
Haley Karenia
Yeah, it's just stupid. But anyway, I want to talk now about President Biden because former President Biden, then President Biden, apparently he, his staffers were concerned about his step count and what he could handle and what he couldn't handle. And this, you might remember when he fell on the stage, Remember he, he Talked at the 2023 Air Force Academy graduation ceremony. He was at that, that ceremony and he gave a speech. And when he was leaving, he tripped, they say, on a sandbag. I think he just tripped because he tripped. I didn't see him trip on a sandbag in that video. But whatever. He was old. It wasn't his first time tripping and it wasn't his last time tripping. We saw him fall off the bike and then fall off, walk, fall up the stairs on Air Force One. I mean, you know, this happened during the Biden administration. So. Now new emails that were unearthed as part of this FOIL request by Protect the Public's Trust, they have found that White House staffers, they, they were supposed to have Biden visit a national security multi mission vessel in Philadelphia. They were going to make this trip to a shipyard. Now in these emails, they found that they realized how many steps President Biden was going to take or going to have to take to get to the shipyard and they canceled the trip altogether. So in the email, this is an M A R AD official emailed members of the Biden administration. They were from the Office of Secure Transportation and the Department of Transportation, and they said no visit to the N SMV vessel is planned after the White House realized that how many steps were going to be involved to get on the ship? True. Lots of steps on grading. So this doesn't look good, by the way. Andy and I love to talk about how all of the Biden officials are just pleading the fifth when the House Oversight Committee and Congressman James Comer are trying to get to the bottom of who knew what and when. When it comes to Biden and the auto pen and all these things, it doesn't look good that all these people are saying, I plead the Fifth. I don't want to be on the record saying what I knew and when I knew it, because that could be potentially incriminating. And that's very telling. So now when we see this, this was in 2023. So he was campaigning to be the president in 2024, and his staffers knew he couldn't walk. So if he wasn't capable of walking without falling. They knew that this was much more dire than they were letting on. They knew his health was failing, and they still pushed him to campaign to have four more years. Imagine if President Biden was in office right now, what, what he would be capable of. Not much, I'm assuming, if this was two years ago and he was not being able to walk a few steps or not be able to walk on a gradient to get onto a boat.
Justin
If you look at clips from him from 2019, it's fundamentally different than 2023. It wasn't a slow fade. It was a dramatic decline with him. Anybody with two Stevie Wonder could have saw. Anybody with two eyeballs, if they could see or not see, you know, could figure this out. And it's super unfortunate because, like, that's not a, that's not a good place for an elderly person to be in. And that's the worst part about it, I think. I mean, I'm not having any empathy or pity for it. I don't. I mean, they all, they all did that. But, like, I mean, he was, he's declining to the point of not being here anymore. And to think that we're being told, oh, he's fine enough to be our president. It's like there's some people that are going to have to answer that beyond just raising their, their right hand.
Haley Karenia
Amen to that. Well, I guess they're all going to plead the Fifth and get away with it because that's the way the things roll. So that's unfortunate. Here's another unearthed moment from the Biden Harris campaign. So, this was reported back in January, but J.D. vance, the Vice president, was on Katie Miller's podcast, Stephen Miller's wife. And J.D. vance was asked about being in the vice president's mansion and what does that look like and how did they baby proof it and all. All these things. Right? So J.D. vance, he unearthed this moment where apparently the Vance family had asked to see the mansion before moving in. And Kamala Harris said, no, watch this.
J.D. Vance
No, I'd never seen it before. And it was. There was a bit of a controversy. I don't remember exactly what had happened, but I think that normally it's customary for the outgoing vice president to show the incoming vice president's family the house. And we have three little kids, so I guess at the time our kids were like 7, 5 and 2. I guess Mirabel turned 3 right before the inauguration. And so now they're a little bit older, but they had never seen this house. And usha really wanted to show them. So what we actually proposed is recognizing the weirdness of the politics, can Usha take the kids over and just show them where they're gonna be living for the next four years? And they were rebuffed. So we took some like old diagrams and some old photos and tried to show the kids. Actually, a friend of ours in Cincinnati had a book about the Vice President's residence. And so we would show the kids what it would look like, but that's as close as they ever got to it. But it's a really beautiful house. So President Trump always jokes with me that I actually have the nicest house because the White House is a bit of fishbowl, as you know very well. The VPR is this beautiful sort of 150 year old mansion, but it's got 330 acres of private property, private space. So actually feels like a real family home for us, which is really nice.
Haley Karenia
So this is not new news. This was reported back in January, but these comments have obviously been back into the news, back in the headlines, because Katie Miller asked, asked the vice President about moving into the mansion. And I looked back at some articles about when this was first reported on. And apparently Kamala Harris had said, well, nobody let her see the vice the vice president's residence before moving in. To which I say, you're a grown ass woman. And Usha Vance wanted to show her children where they were going to be living. They were very young. Moving is stressful. It's emotional, especially when you're young. Not only that, Usha Vance wanted to make sure that the house was baby proofed before moving in. Because apparently on inauguration Day, you move in to the White House, to the Vice president's residence, into the mansion. So she wanted to make sure what, what needs to be baby proofed in this house because there hadn't been kids living there for a while. And it just seems so insensitive and rude. I understand that Kamala Harris doesn't have children. She has Doug Emhoff's stepdaughter with all the armpit hair and whatever, that girl. But she's a grown adult. You would think you would have some sympathy for the family coming in regardless of politics and say, yes, the there are certain traditions that are customary. Come in, see the house, have a conversation. I mean, anytime there's like a funeral in D.C. these people have to get together anyway. They were going to see each other at the inauguration anyway. Can you not just be nice and let the Vance family in to see where they're going to be living. Even if someone in Harris's staff let the future second lady of the United States come in to see it. For future planning purposes only. Right.
Justin
The alternative, as JD Said, was, can you imagine him rolling out a schematic on the dinner table and saying, you know, hey, kids, this little. This little blue square is your room? I mean, it's. That's really petty.
Haley Karenia
It's very petty. It's very rude. I obviously, I don't expect anything from Kamala Harris, but you would think that this would be the common, decent thing to do with. And she couldn't do that. So that's very telling about her character, I would say. Liberal, childless women. Just horrible, nasty, nasty women. Should we get into some scrolling time?
Justin
Yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. We got to save this video, though, because I like this Kimmel thing.
Haley Karenia
I mean, should we do. I'll do Jimmy Kimmel.
Justin
Save the charts for tomorrow, maybe.
Haley Karenia
Okay, we'll. We'll do the Jimmy Kimmel video. So anyway, Jimmy Kimmel was on Sarah Silverman's podcast, and she was talking about. Or actually, I don't know what the hell they were talking about, honestly, but they were talking about how Jimmy Kimmel apparently has dual citizenship. He is maybe thinking about moving to Italy. Listen to this. A lot of people I know are thinking about where they can get citizenship.
Justin
I do have Italian. I did get Italian citizenship.
Haley Karenia
You do? Oh, that's amazing.
Justin
I do have that. And what's going on is. Is as bad as you thought it was gonna be?
Haley Karenia
Way worse.
Justin
It's so much worse. It's just unbelievable. Like, I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be.
Haley Karenia
Probably. Yeah.
Justin
Yeah.
Haley Karenia
I mean, I do. Every once in a while, I'll Google Trump regrets or MAGA regrets. Just to see all the people that. Not happy, that they're upset and they're there. But I'm. It makes me hope that maybe people will. This will bring people together. The chat is saying, bye, bye, move by Kimmel. So the chat is totally okay with Jimmy Kimmel moving to Italy now to escape Trump, to escape his policies. Because I would say Jimmy Kimmel, you should look up who the prime Minister of Italy is, because she's more far right than Trump. She makes Trump look like a Democrat. So if you're moving to Italy to escape Trump, you are in for a rude awakening because it is a predominantly Catholic nation. And guess what? Catholics, they don't. They don't do abortion. They don't. They don't stand for that. And Georgia Maloney, the prime minister, is Catholic, she is pro life, she is anti gay marriage. She doesn't think that gay people should adopt. She believes in strong borders. So, Jimmy Kimmel, by all means, if this is your utopia, have at it. Because I think a lot of these liberals, they think that they have it so bad here, they think they've convinced themselves, they say it over and over again until they believe it that Trump is racist, he's homophobic, he's all these things. Open your eyes to the rest of the world and you will realize how progressive the United States really is.
Justin
You know what the tale is, Haley, is that like these people, okay, Jimmy, you have F you money. You have so much money. Like go off into Italy, you know, Mr. Jimmy, and just hang out somewhere on the coast and eat pizza and gluten free bread, you know what I mean? And just, just hang out and go right off into the sunset and shut up. But the proof is they can't do that. Like they're going to move somewhere else and continue in the same behavior that they're doing now, which is get online and just dump on Trump. And it's like, why do I have to move across the world to get online and dump on Trump?
Haley Karenia
Right?
Justin
It's so stupid.
Haley Karenia
Well, they're obviously virtue signaling. But it's interesting that it's a lot of people in the entertainment industry, whether it's musicians who say this, actors who say this, TV hosts who say this, they won't have a job in Italy, they won't have Rosie o'. Donnell. What is she doing in Ireland? She's sitting on her butt.
Justin
But they can afford that.
Haley Karenia
Yapping about Trump on X.
Justin
That's what I'm saying is like, they can, they can afford that. Like if you want to get out of it or you think you're going to get canceled or you. He's been on TV, he's been on TV since the 90s with the man show. Like, bye, Have a good, have a good life. It was beautiful. Go. But like, don't dump on Trump over there when you could do it here.
Haley Karenia
Well, that's the thing. They'll move to escape Trump, but he lives rent free. Free in their heads.
Justin
Totally.
Haley Karenia
He'll be bashing them over there the same way that Rosie o' Donnell does. It's just insane. But you know, I, I encourage them to go see the world and see how some more conservative Christian nations are run. They've got strong borders over there and they don't let you kill your offspring. So enjoy. All right, let's get into some scrolling time. You should have seen us jamming in here before the show started. We were hitting some edm. We were. I was head banging, actually. I'm gonna post some, I'm gonna post on social media, just some behind the scenes so you can see how much fun we were having. But this first video is from Jennifer Welch. She is co host of, of the I've had it podcast. And here is her anti Trump rant. Watch this. I've had it with white people that triple trumped. Yeah. That have the nerve and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to. Perhaps they're gay hairdresser. I don't think you should be able to enjoy anything but Cracker Barrel. Andy's all for it.
Justin
I got some thoughts, Andy. I've got some thoughts.
Haley Karenia
Go for it.
Justin
Like, there ain't nothing wrong with the Cracker Barrel.
Haley Karenia
No, not at all.
Justin
And you can eat, you can eat some wonderful breakfast. You can get chicken fried chicken to a hamburger to meatloaf. You can eat, you can eat good food at the Cracker Barrel. So this, this lady does not need to hate on the Cracker Barrel. Well, Cracker Barrel didn't do nothing to this lady.
Haley Karenia
She's not really hating on Cracker Barrel. She's just saying that this is where triple Trumpers should eat.
Justin
Yeah, she's typecasting it. You know what I mean? Like, oh, it's a redneck spot where all those like Walmart cut off sleeve people that sort of stink but sort of don't go to eat. And it's like, that may be true, but we all go to the Cracker Barrel together. Like, don't hate on the Cracker Barrel.
Haley Karenia
She says that we're not allowed to eat, eat at Mexican restaurants. This is obviously because of our stance on illegal immigration, which doesn't make sense. But okay, what is she talking about with. We're not allowed to eat at Chinese food restaurants or Indian restaurants either.
Justin
Yeah, I don't.
Haley Karenia
We're not allowed to participate in multiculturalism because we voted for Trump, but Trump wants legal immigration. You can come here from just about anywhere and start a restaurant or start a business and we should be able to participate in that.
Justin
Or how about like, this actually is the United States, so if you make a service that's good and people want to partake in it, you're going to do well.
Haley Karenia
Correct.
Justin
Like, there's a taco truck right down the road. We all eat it up. There's a Thai place that's a, that's a Thai truck and a gas station. We eat it up here.
Haley Karenia
Say goodbye. Because according to this woman who no one cares about, you're not allowed to eat there anymore.
Justin
That's fine. I'll just get the chicken. Fried chicken.
Haley Karenia
You'll just live on some cracker barrel and be totally fine. I also, people, I, I've seen, because a lot of people are covering this clip and I've seen headlines and tweets calling this woman a Bravo star. First of all, we have to stop calling her a Bravo star. I had no idea she was ever on Bravo. I knew she was a podcast host and they used to just be very funny. The show they're podcast was just. They would talk about whatever they would. It was just two friends. They'd shoot the. I had no idea they were celebrities of any kind or on reality shows. Had no idea. And they were just funny. And then they started getting very, very political and very anti Trump. So they just became annoying. So they kind of just like fell off of my radar. But I googled who she was and apparently she was on one season of a reality show about being a rich housewife in Oklahoma. So first of all, one season, it got canceled because no one cares about this woman. And just imagine, I mean, we have so many successful reality shows about rich people and housewives. Rich housewives. The fact that they wanted to highlight this woman, I mean, clearly it didn't do very well. And there, there's also something to be said about the hypocrisy of these rich white liberal ladies. Like, she is the worst of the worst. It's people who make money and they take, you know, they benefit from all of the tax loopholes and all this stuff and then they, they want everyone else to vote Democrat, to like, feel good.
Justin
This woman is miserable.
Haley Karenia
Miserable.
Justin
I mean, obviously miserable. Leave cracker bar alone. Jennifer. Leave us alone.
Haley Karenia
Leave us alone. Here's another video of a woke miserable liberal. Watch this.
Kyra Phillips
Your friends who are not online have no idea how bad things have gotten. They don't have the mental bandwidth to actually understand the fact that our country is descending into authoritarianism. And the people who have recognized that it is are seen as annoying. And because they've been saying it all along. So people, no one's listening to them. And so your friends who are living their lives, trying to enjoy the summer, trying to just live their best lives, have no idea what's going on in la. They have no idea that yesterday Trump federalized the National Guard and deployed troops on the streets of D.C. people have no idea even about the ICE raids unless they're happening in their own communities. And I can't blame them. We all have a limited amount of bandwidth.
Haley Karenia
Okay, I'm just going to say it. If people have to read the news to see how bad things are, it's not really that bad. Because when things are bad, you don't need the news to tell you. You would feel it and you would know it.
Justin
All of your segments about DC to start the show in the A block has totally proved this. Whether you're liberal or whether you're conservative, you don't need to read a statistic and you need to read report and you don't need to care if some police commissioners falsifying anything. When you're scared to get on the metro and get off in the mall in D.C. and walk around, it's bad, right?
Haley Karenia
But the Democrats are saying that crime is actually not a problem. This guy is saying this is authoritarianism, this is fascism, that we have to fight Trump. This is so bad, the deportations, the ICE raids, all this stuff. He's saying that if you don't read the news, then you don't know how bad Trump really is.
Justin
But if all you have to do.
Haley Karenia
Is walk to work, if we were living under a dictatorship, you wouldn't have to read the news to know it.
Justin
Absolutely.
Haley Karenia
You would know. If you know, you know. All right, thank you so much for scrolling along with me. I've got a lot of content that I didn't get to tonight, so I'm going to get to it tomorrow and it's going to be fun. So thank you for scrolling along with me. If you want to see my behind the scenes stuff, you got to follow me on social media at Haley Karenia. That's H A Y L E Y C A R O N I A and I post some fun content there. I'm gonna do a video, I think, on Travis Kelsey tonight and his GQ ad. Maybe some things that I'm not going to cover in the show, but I cover them on social media and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Rumble.com Haley and I'll see you then.
Justin
It.
Nightly Scroll with Hayley - Episode 110 Summary: "Dems Fight Trump’s Moves To Clean Up Cities"
Release Date: August 12, 2025
Host: Hayley Caronia
00:00 – 04:04
Hayley Caronia kicks off Episode 110 of Nightly Scroll, engaging with her audience through chat interactions on Rumble.com. She shares personal anecdotes, such as her recent viewing of the classic film The Princess Bride, which she rates an 8 out of 10, emphasizing her enjoyment despite not finding it hilariously funny. This segment sets a lighthearted tone before delving into the episode's main topics.
Notable Quote:
Hayley Caronia (00:00): "I just give it an 8 out of 10. That is a great rating. I would say that is better than average."
04:05 – 18:24
Hayley transitions to the episode's primary focus: President Trump's efforts to address crime in predominantly Democratic cities, particularly Washington D.C. She outlines Trump's strategy to deploy the National Guard in D.C. and cut federal funding for ineffective social programs in cities like New York. Hayley supports this move, drawing from her personal experience living in New York City under Mayor de Blasio's policies.
Notable Quotes:
Hayley Caronia (04:05): "President Trump wants to clean up these dirty and dangerous deep blue cities."
Hayley Caronia (05:00): "If President Trump gets the feeling like these taxpayer-funded social programs aren't helping these cities be great again, well, he's not going to provide that federal funding. I am there for it."
A significant portion of the discussion centers around Attorney General Pam Bondi taking control of the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. Hayley criticizes Bondi's apparent lack of understanding regarding the chain of command, highlighting a moment where Bondi was unsure of its meaning.
Notable Quote:
Hayley Caronia (07:22): "What does that mean? That's concerning."
Hayley juxtaposes official crime statistics, which indicate a 30-year low in homicide rates, with personal accounts from ABC anchor Kyra Phillips, who recounts recent violent incidents in downtown D.C. This discrepancy underscores Hayley's argument that official data may not reflect the lived experiences of residents.
Notable Quotes:
Kyra Phillips (09:00): "In the past six months... one person died literally two blocks down here from the bureau."
Hayley Caronia (12:32): "If people are getting robbed or people are doing drugs out in the open because so many crimes have been decriminalized, people may very well still feel unsafe."
Hayley further contends that the Metropolitan Police Department has been falsifying crime data, as evidenced by the recent placement of Michael Pullman on administrative leave for deliberately manipulating statistics. This claim aims to discredit the reported decrease in violent crime.
Notable Quote:
Hayley Caronia (16:01): "Crime statistics in D.C. were being falsified... police supervisors in the department are manipulating crime data."
17:29 – 20:45
The discussion shifts to the Free DC Project, where reporter Jennifer Welch distributes whistles to the unhoused population as a means to call for help during potential fascist authoritarian raids. Hayley ridicules this initiative, arguing that such measures are ineffective against actual threats.
Notable Quotes:
Jennifer Welch (17:29): "They have a way to call for help if they are kidnapped by federal law enforcement."
Hayley Caronia (18:24): "The best way to fight fascism is with whistling."
23:49 – 26:56
Hayley highlights the misconduct of Connecticut State Representative Raghbir Ali Brennan, a Democrat who has been arrested twice for shoplifting at Target. She criticizes Brennan's actions, questioning his suitability to represent his constituents.
Notable Quotes:
Hayley Caronia (25:18): "How can you represent your district and be a shoplifter and a criminal?"
Justin (25:20): "Just pay $30 bucks. And if you can't pay it, then you can't, you can't own it."
28:26 – 34:38
The episode delves into Democratic immigration policies, focusing on Omar Fateh's campaign to shield illegal immigrants from government actions. Hayley argues that Democrats aim to legalize illegal immigrants to convert them into Democratic voters, perpetuating a cycle that undermines Republican electoral prospects.
Notable Quotes:
Hayley Caronia (28:26): "Next time we win power, we're going to drive that car like we stole it."
Justin (28:29): "We're going to legalize every dreamer... every hard-working American doing backbreaking work that makes this country so wonderful."
Hayley also references ICE's enforcement actions, citing the arrest of a child sexual predator in Rhode Island as a consequence of sanctuary policies, further criticizing Democratic stances on law enforcement and immigration.
35:19 – 38:44
Hayley discusses the Biden administration's decision to roll back proposed IRS changes that would have mandated the reporting of transactions over $600. The rollback raises the threshold to $20,000, which Hayley views as a victory against overregulation and privacy intrusions.
Notable Quotes:
Hayley Caronia (35:19): "Anything under $600 doesn't have to worry about it... now we're returning to $20,000. That was the threshold and now we're returning to it. If you're making a transaction of $20,000 or more, then you have to report it to the IRS."
She shares a personal anecdote about being temporarily banned from Venmo due to a humorous memo, illustrating potential overreach in financial monitoring.
38:17 – 42:46
Hayley shifts focus to President Biden's declining health, highlighting internal concerns regarding his mobility and stamina. She references emails revealing that a planned visit to a national security vessel was canceled due to Biden's inability to handle the required steps, suggesting that his administration was aware of his health issues while continuing his presidential campaign.
Notable Quotes:
Hayley Caronia (41:59): "He was declining to the point of not being here anymore... it was a dramatic decline."
