Another day, another attempt on President Trump's life. Another attack at the White House. This should not be commonplace, and yet it is. But before we get into the shooting that happened on Saturday, let me just remind you of the attacks that have happened here in and around the White House. Just this, just this Trump administration. Not the ones in the first administration. Not the assassination attempt while he was a campaign a candidate. No, no, no. Just in the time that President Trump has been back in office. Do you remember this? March 9th of last year, a man named Andrew Dawson brought a gun onto White House property. Authorities were tipped off by local police, thankfully, that this guy was suicidal and traveling to D.C. hmm. Now, I don't want to make light of suicide, but if you are planning to take your life, which I hope nobody does, that does not require you to do so at the White House. So I know that was the tip that law enforcement got. Thankfully, they did. But the whole situation seemed a little strange to me. If I had to guess, he wanted to do harm to the president and would have died for the cause. Thankfully, because law enforcement got that tip, they knew what they were looking for. They were able to spot his car. It was parked in the area. Then they saw him running on foot, and he was armed with a gun and a knife. He did not cooperate with law enforcement, which prompted a shootout. He survived the shooting, transported to a near, you know, a nearby hospital, was treated for his injuries, sentenced to time served and one year of supervised release. Then this seemingly happens again. Another attack on White House property. This time an Acura or someone driving an Acura. I hate when they say, like, Acura drives into. It's like, okay, well, the Acura that. What is this, like, self driving? It could be. Now, Waymo drives into.

I had it in my notes. But yeah, you're so right. I caught myself. I was like, wait a Second Acura drives into. No, no, no. There's always a person. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Okay. Cars don't kill people. People kill people. Okay? So US Driver rams into White House security barrier with Trump inside mansion. And yes, this was a Acura, and it was a 2010 Acura, Maryland license plate. Drives into the security vehicle gate, security barrier near the White House. And it did not breach the perimeter. The driver didn't get through, but it did hit the Secret Service gate. So, of course, Secret Service officers immediately arrested this guy. No injuries. The vehicle was searched. There were, you know, it was deemed safe. And, you know, President Trump was in the White House at the time, so they say that there was no threat to him. But again, people are trying to do this guy harm and attacks at the White House. Like this is. This is becoming all the time, like every month. I feel like there's something now. And you may have deja vu because this happened twice. Another car crashed into the. The police, like the Secret Service area they're opening. And this time it was in the name of God. This is what this man says. March 11, 2026. This guy drove a black Ford Edge with Ohio plates into another security access point point. And this time, the gate broke off completely. The first guy hit it, but didn't get through. This guy broke through the gate. Police ordered the driver to show his hands. Then they detained him. He said, I'm here to deliver a present for the President. And God told him to. He was promptly arrested and charged, thankfully. And then we get to this year, just a month ago, guy storming the White House correspondence dinner. We, we've all seen this. President Trump was the target of yet another shooting. He and all of his cabinet members. You know, I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, but in my opinion, Trump not dying, Trump surviving cannot be deemed a success. That can't be the bar for success. I mean, thank the Lord he and everyone in the Cabinet was, you know, unscathed. No one got hurt, but it could have ended very badly. And the fact that this got, this guy got to the place that he did was with a gun, in my opinion, was a failure in and itself. Thankfully, the suspect was apprehended, later charged with attempted assassination. We all remember this. Then three weeks ago, May 4, on the National Mall, there's another shooting, more gunfire between Secret Service and an armed man right near the White House. Man was wounded. A bystander was grazed in this shootout. Then, just four weeks after the shooting at the White House correspondence dinner, More shots fired at the White House. I say all of this to paint the picture of how deranged the left has become. Political disagreement has become grounds to kill, according to the Trump deranged. They don't like him. They don't like his policies, they don't like his Cabinet, they don't like his voters, they don't like his supporters. And they think that a vote for Trump is enough reason to take you out. And President Trump said it best. They're not after me. They're after you. And I'm just in the way. In reality, the violent left doesn't care to research the truth about President Trump. They don't care to ask why Trump supporters feel the way that they do. They already have their minds made up. They get their talking points, they get their marching orders. They get all riled up, and they feel justified in doing harm to whoever they deem an enemy. And they have deemed all of us deplorables the enemy. The left has glorified death all the time. They glorify death in. Because they. They rally around abortion policies. This is one of the only things that Kamala Harris ran on was abortion, access to abortion, abortion on demand. They don't. They. They glorify death, and they don't respect human life. So that's just. That's the party platform. So we know that. But then when it comes to the murder of the United Healthcare CEO, the. The entire left propped up this killer as a hero, as a sex symbol. It was all over social media. Then, of course, the left has mimicked and mocked the assassination of Charlie Kirk and has degraded and dehumanized his grieving widow. This is who we're dealing with, people. This is who we're dealing with. People get murdered and they are dancing on their graves. This is what they do. Human life is just not that valuable to them, I guess. And every. Not every liberal is a lunatic. But we don't hear enough of them speaking out, condemning this kind of violence when it comes from their side. In fact, we see a lot of videos of people wishing that President Trump would die, waiting on bated breath for him to die. They're so excited. They can't wait to hear the news. I've played the videos on this show, and it's disturbing. They always say something. Silence is violence. You know, the right needs to condemn violence. They said all this stuff, you know, during 2020 and certainly after January six. Oh, they need to turn down the rhetoric and turn down the temperature, and they can't seem to extend that same courtesy, right? That's the standard that they want to hold the other side to, but they can't seem to hold themselves to that same standard. So we'll continue to see attacks on President Trump will continue to see attacks on his inner circle, his family, his supporters. I just hope and pray that Secret Service is vigilant. And I am so grateful for the Secret Service agents who were on duty on Saturday taking out yet another violent threat against the president. This time, a man approached a White House security checkpoint, pulled a pistol and opened fire. Thankfully, Secret Service returned fire, killed him, took out the threat. Unfortunately, a bystander was injured but was not hurt. It wasn't life threatening. And the White House was briefly locked down. So dozens of white shots were heard outside the White House. And this was the reaction of some of the people in the media. Here is CBS News Aaron Navarro and ABC News reporter Selena Wang. Just to go, listen, I know that this is an unpopular opinion. I'm defending her. She's getting dragged on the Internet. I think this is a very normal reaction. What is that? People were joking. Like, what dose of Lexapro is she on? To hear gunshots and be like, what is that?

Unfortunately, in D.C. like many other cities and towns, we are used to being in situations, potential situations like this. There were so many in the line of the presidency, the line of succession, that when we heard what sounded like gunshots, and my colleague Jose Diaz Balart pushed me under the table and told me to stay there. I remember hearing so much commotion around me.

What now I understand to be officers, but in the moment, shoes, heavy, feet on the table. That was Secret Service and Capitol Police was trying to search for members for. For members of the administration and get them out of the room. I watched Speaker Johnson run out.

Point is, she's heard gunshots before. She's covered these types of situations before. Can we not give people grace anymore? Okay, so she is taking this in stride, and she has become an Internet meme. I've seen all the memes of, you know, King Kong taking over the Empire State Building. And she turns around, you know, she's like, superimposed on the. On the front of it. She's like, what is that? You know, so bombs going off and her edited into the video being like, what is that? So here she is reacting to all of these Internet memes about her. I like that she is getting that. She's. This is. This is the way that she's taking this. She's taking a joke, and this is the way to go about it, in my opinion.

Like, people know her name now. And I'm following her on social media now. I thought that this was very funny. But I am about to defend her because hearing a noise and asking what is that? Especially when you're a journalist and it is your job to figure out what is going on. That is the most natural human response ever. And again, she's heard gunshots before, but she's probably in disbelief that she's involved in the second shooting on the president and in the White House in a month.

It was Memorial day weekend in D.C. ahead of America, 250 events happening. Like, of course it could have been fireworks. Like, what do you mean it wouldn't have been fireworks? Of course it could have been. It's Memorial Day weekend. Why wouldn't you? You hear like 30 gunshots going off. Like, I would ask the same question. I am in defense of her. I am in defense of her. She reacted in the moment. And I saw comments on these news videos like, girl, you're the news. You know, you tell us what's going on. Like, it's been. It's happening in the moment. You think reporters just like download information immediately as it's happening? She doesn't know what's happening. Nobody knows what's happening there. The only person that knows what's happening. There's a Secret Service agents reacting in real time. Even they don't know what's happening. So she wasn't live when this was. She was. She was waiting for her hit. Let's say she was live. Right. Would anyone have wanted her to report without fact checking or getting all the details? No. Let me ask the chat that everyone's saying it wouldn't have been fireworks. It wouldn't have been fireworks. Someone in the chat just said fireworks in the daytime. Question mark. You don't think that people test them before the fireworks shows out of all my years of life, any time ahead of a big event like 4th of July, memorial Day, Labor Day, fireworks, they always test them the day before or the day of. Of course.

So what would you like? What Genuinely, I'm asking the chat and I'm asking everyone listening, what would you have wanted her to do? Oh, don't worry, it's just fireworks. And then it turns out not to be. Because if she was reporting live on the incident, and I'm telling you this as someone who's been a reporter before, all you can say in the moment, loud bangs heard outside the White House, that. Because that's all that she can say, all reporters can do in the moment is set the scene when what are you hearing? What are you seeing? What's happening around you? No speculation, no reporting details that you can't confirm. I know people want to like, they say that, oh, it's NBC. They want to just like hate on her immediately. She wasn't doing anything wrong. If she had come out and said, oh, don't worry about it. It's, it's, you know, it's not gunshots or it is, it's like, what, but what if it was fireworks? What if you can't just report on stuff that you don't know. You have to confirm it. Reporters again, she can even see it happening. You would still have to go and get a statement from Secret Service. You'd have to go figure out what, like, you can't, you don't know all the details. The only people that knew the details were Secret Service and the guy who showed up with the gun. And until all the details come out, all she can do is set the scene. That's exactly what she was doing. What? Finding out what's going on. What is going on. So you know, people love to judge from their couches. Monday morning quarterback. The whole situation, people are calling her stupid on the Internet. People are calling her slow on the Internet. This situation is just many of the examples of how our society is completely forgotten how to see the humanity in others. It is an epidemic of people refusing to show other people grace, especially in a stressful or uncommon situation. It is a lost art. Apparently everyone's knee jerk reaction is to attack people to make Fun of them. It's so, so exhausting to watch. And I'm not talking about the memes and the jokes. Like, that's funny. And obviously she finds it funny, too. I'm talking about people genuinely being like, she sucks, like, she's stupid. She doesn't know what she's talking about. She's doing exactly what any. I would have done the exact same thing. She's taking us on the chin. She's being a good sport about it. I'm coming. Her defense, you know, and I don't know Julie Circuit. I don't know this NBC reporter, but I have friends who cover the White House every day. They have a job to do, and part of that job is reporting on shootings and other breaking news. News people know how to be professional in these kinds of situations, but they're still human at the end of the day. You don't have to like the mainstream media. You don't have to watch them. You don't have to think that they're good at their jobs. You don't have to agree with them politically. But my goodness, all that I ask is that you treat other people like human beings regardless. Like, it's such a low bar these days, but genuinely, like, just think about the humanity. This could be your sister, your daughter, anything. Like, just be kind. Be kind. Anyway, I want to talk about this Jackson Dart situation, because if you remember, a few months ago, I slid into Jackson Darts dms, and I wanted to get him on the show because he's tech, He's a conspiracy theorist. So I thought it would be a lot of fun to have him on the show and talk conspiracy theories. He never responded, but that's okay. We're still. We're still a fan. And President Trump spoke at a Fighting for America workers rally. This was for Rep. Mike Lawler in Suffern, N.Y. and Jackson Dart, New York Giants quarterback. Could think he's super corrupt and all that stuff. He's still the President, United States. I would do it.

We, I just think we need to get back to that. But anyway, lots of reaction on the Internet. And Isaac Rochelle, he's an influencer now, but he was a seventh round draft pick by the Chargers in 2017. He hasn't played in three years. Now he's a full time influencer and his wife is also a full time influencer. They're like family influencer. They have two kids now, I think. And sometimes he tries to comment on politics and he sort of tries to say like middle of the road. But he'll lean as liberal as he needs to to not thwart his influencing career since he makes full time content now. And so he covers politics in a lukewarm way that won't get him canceled. Jackson Dart just introduced President Trump at a Trump rally. I have actually never seen an athlete do this and I know everybody's wondering, what does this mean in the locker room? Is Jackson Dart now separating their entire locker room? Is this going to ruin a giant season? First off, let me give my opinion. I would not have done this, not because of Trump. It just is a stance that you don't want to take when you're playing. You are the face of a franchise. It's a very complicated place to put yourself in where now everybody has to make a decision on you. They either love you because they also love President Trump or they don't like you at all because they can't stand President Trump. Either way, in a world of social media and guys making so much money off the field, it's just not worth putting yourself in that place. Let's look at history. Guys that take hardcore stances and show up in that way, it's kind of hit or miss. We'll take an example from the last couple seasons. Nick Bosa doing the President Trump dance. He got a lot of backlash, but he also got a lot of support. If we want to look at a more extreme example, Colin Kaepernick never played again because of his political stances that he took. Let's talk about what it actually means for Jackson Dart in his situation. First, the locker room. In a locker room, this type of stuff doesn't matter. I mean, it matters for like five minutes when you're not actually with your teammates. But when they get in the locker room, people are going to be like, bro, no way. You did that. And everybody's going to laugh and nobody's going to actually think about it. It's not going to affect the season. It's not going to affect their offseason. Nothing is going to change because of him doing that. Also, I want to note that half of America voted for President Trump at a minimum. Half of his locker room room, half of his coaches probably support President Trump.

I'm about to get into that because there are a lot of other Internet reactions and it's so insane to me because you cannot compare the two at all. You're right. Um, but Isaac said that this is really not going to have an impact on his the season, but it is going to have an impact on the fan base because some of these Giants fans, they will not support the team now just because of this moment. And it shows how brain dead people are, how easily triggered they are, how afraid they are of cancel culture, that they continue to perpetuate it. It is sad, but it is a reality. This person says that essentially only Democrats should be able to play sports and fire all the Republicans And F. Jackson Dart.

So if that happens, what does that mean for policing and how do you go about reducing crime?

The police often will come after the crime has already occurred. When you call a police officer, the police will come and you might say, I feel uncomfortable. And then the police will say, well, I can't do anything until something occurs, until there is evidence that this person has committed a crime or hurt or violated somebody in a particular way. What we want to do is prevent the crime from occurring in the first place. Crime occurs when people are often in survival mode. They feel trapped, they feel scared. They need to act. And so what we want to do is create stability so that way people don't get towards their survival mode. That means housing stability. That means food security. That means being able to care for your family. Family and make sure that your family feels safe. Mental health, job security, a meaningful life. These are all ways and things that people are asking for. Now, I've been a part of the Los Angeles People's Budget Coalition for six years now. In fact, I was part of the person, a part of the team that gave the presentation of the survey results to City hall for the first time during 2020, shortly after Georgia George Floyd is murdered. And what we found there, and it's Been the case every single year since. Is that when we put out a poll, tens of thousands of Angelenos fill it out. They say at the top of the priority, what do we want to budget? What do we want to pay for using our city money? They always say housing, they say food. At the very bottom, they say policing. Because people don't actually feel safe by the police. So if we. We can keep crime from beginning in the first place, that is when people feel safe.

Yeah. So the guy, you know, because everyone's demanding a story time, so the guy filming did provide some context and some details that he was pulling into a parking spot. So he's pulling in front ways. And these other people, the family. That is insane. They were pulling in, but they kind of crossed over the parking lot. Like, this is a parking lot that doesn't have those barriers at the front of all the parking spots so you could just drive through. So they were driving across lanes, not lanes of traffic, but you know what I mean? Like parking lot lanes to get pull into the spot on the other side. So then apparently they began fighting because they were both going into the same parking spot. And then this woman was claiming that he was following them around the parking lot. But he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that wants to get anywhere near this family. So I can't imagine that that was the truth.
