Hello to all of my homies in the chat. Welcome to Nightly Scroll. I'm Hailey Karenia. I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. I know I did spend some time with friends and family over the weekend. I am back ready for a big show and a big week of shows. So without further ado, a crazed gunman shoots two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. Lots of people trying to figure out a motive or or attach the killer to a political party. We cannot rush to judgment and we cannot make sense of senseless murders. Then Democrat elites party in the Hamptons amid the no Kings protests, we're going to go through some of my favorite of their little picket signs. They don't make much sense, but this is all part of the fun. Riley Gaines had the last laugh in her beef with Olympian Simone Biles and a crazy similarity between two airplane crash survivors about 30 years apart. Is it the reason they both survived? Some conspiracy theorists think so. All that and so much more on this episode of Nightly Scroll. Quick reminder that if you want to scroll with all my homies in the chat, you have to do so on Rumble. If you watch my show, you know I do not repeat the names of criminals suspects. So I'm just going to refer to this suspect as the suspect, the killer, suspected killer, alleged killer. But this was a really disgusting just murders over the weekend, just absolutely horrific story. And this alleged killer, he was arrested, charged with two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. This man, the suspected killer, posed as a police officer with a mask on fatally shot former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark in their home early on Saturday morning. They leave behind two children. Also state Rep in Minnesota, Aaron Cogel. She let everyone know and confirmed that the speaker's children, adult children, had to put down their family dog as well, golden retriever Gilbert. He was also shot in the Attack and could not be saved. Just horrific. The shooter was not done. He went to Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman's house and shot him nine times and his wife eight times. Miraculously, they are still alive. They are undergoing surgery but as of right now they are alive. A miracle, but this is absolutely horrific. The suspect stopped at two other lawmakers homes in between these two shooting attacks. He had a manifesto. Authorities have said that There are around 50 to 70 names on the manifesto. This hit list of lawmakers, politicians, doctors, abortion rights activists, people who work at Planned Parenthood, et cetera. And authorities said that he had papers on him that said no Kings written on them. Of course these no Kings protests popped up all over the country. People are rushing to judgment a little bit about where this man stands politically. This is certainly a politically motivated killing, but where does he stand politically? I don't know. I'm not getting ahead of law enforcement here. I'm going to let them do their jobs, but I'm just going to let you know all of the facts of what has happened. He surrendered to police after a two day manhunt that ended late last night. He was found in the woods by his house District Attorney Mary Mor Morty Mori. I can't pronounce her last name, sorry. Moriarty. Her office filed initial charges second degree murder and attempted second degree murder. They got a warrant for his arrest. She also intends to pursue pursue first degree murder charges once they can get a grand jury. The Acting U.S. attorney for the District of Minnesota said his office filed six federal accounts. Stalking, shooting of the Hoffman's shooting of the Hortman family with firearms. Two counts of murder tied to the Hortons deaths and could be convicted on when convicted or should he be convicted on could be a potential death sentence here. Another crazy part of this story is that the suspected killer's wife was stopped by police with other family members in the car and she was stopped in Minnesota with passports and cash. She and the family members were questioned in this traffic stop but none of them are in custody. Again, I'm not getting ahead of law enforcement here. I, I'm not sure why they are not in custody but they were questioned so I'm leaving it up to law enforcement here. Here is what FBI Director Cash Patel said on X. The FBI is grateful for the coordination with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners in the arrest of the suspect in Minnesota and will continue providing our full support in the ensuing investigation. Above all, we are praying for the continued recovery of the surviving victims and for the families and community Members impacted by. By this horrific act of violence. And it is a horrific act of violence. Attorney Attorney General Pam Bondi also investigating and says that this man will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Now, not even two weeks ago, I want to get into maybe some of this political climate conversation and the context of which these killings happened. Melissa Hortman was the state House Democratic leader. She was the only member of the Democrat Party to side with Republicans on a vote that would repeal health care coverage for illegal aliens in Minnesota. It was part of this year's budget bill. She did not side with her party. She sided with the Republicans. She said, you know, it was a hard decision, but she said this is what leaders do. She knew that it would make people mad. So here's a video of that, her speaking out on this watch.
Riley Gaines
They're right to be mad at me. I think some of them are pretty, pretty angry. I think that their job was to make folks who voted for that bill feel like crap. And I think that they succeeded.
Hailey Karenia
Now, I want to say we pulled that video from social media. It said on the top there, she was killed over a vote. We do not know that. I did not put that text there. My producers did not put that text there. That was a video that we found on social media. We do not know if Melissa Hortman was killed over her specific stance on this vote. We don't know that. We have to wait until law enforcement comes out with some more information on that. But, you know, she said, people have every right to be mad at me. Maybe this. Maybe this could have had something to do with it. But again, we're not sure. No way of knowing. But potentially, this could have made her a target to this gunman. The gunman texted two of his roommates that he had made some bad decisions. He wasn't going to implicate them, but he may be dead soon. Essentially, kind of a goodbye message to his roommates. And this is. I was talking to Andy about this before the show started. I'm not sure why. The roommate is out in front of every damn camera that he can find, but he is MSNBC outside of his house. You know, all the. All the news organizations are outside of his house. And he is just giving everybody a damn statement here. I don't know why. You know, his roommate said, I'm not going to implicate you in this. He said, hold my beer, let me get involved. I don't know, it just seems like a little weird to me. But again, this is what the Roommate has said since watch maybe dead shortly.
Roommate
So I just want to let you know I love you guys both and I wish it had gone this way. I don't want to say anything more and implicate you in any way because you. You guys don't know anything about this. But I love you guys and I'm sorry for all the trouble this has caused. I mean, he was a loving, caring guy, you know, loved his family, loved his friends, and loved God. And I don't know why he did what he did. It's just. It's not fans. No one will believe this. No one that grew up. He had lots of friends. Trust me. I wish I could have been there to stop him.
Hailey Karenia
So he was reading that text message there that the alleged shooter killer had sent to the roommates before. I'm still under trying to understand why he had roommates when he had a wife. Not really making sense to me here. I was trying to read up on it. I didn't find anything, like, conclusive. I heard someone say that he like, lived far away from work, so maybe he had a roommate, apartment type situation closer to work, long commute. I don't know. Not my circus, not my monkeys. But anyway, this roommate is out in front of more cameras. He says now, you know, this reporter was asking him all types of questions about, you know, what kind of podcasts he listened to. Did he hate certain politicians? Here, watch this.
Riley Gaines
You talk about his politics a little bit.
Reporter
I know that you had some discussions.
Roommate
Well, everyone's telling them, Democrat, he's not a Democrat. He would be offended if people called him a Democrat. But because of this board thing he was on for. For Governor Walls. It wasn't to. Sir, he wasn't. He was just serving the community. But he, you know.
Hailey Karenia
I can't believe.
Roommate
A political issue would cause him to do such things.
Reporter
Did he ever bring up the senator or the representative who were targeted?
Roommate
Like I was saying? No, he never talked about.
Sponsor
I didn't know.
Hailey Karenia
I didn't recognize him.
Reporter
Any politicians. He mentioned.
Roommate
Nancy Paulson. He didn't like Jim Walls. Jim Waltz didn't like Jim Biper.
Father
Tim Waltz.
Hailey Karenia
What would you say about him?
Roommate
Well, I mean, nothing. I mean, it's just normal. Well, I don't like this, that Tim Wall did this. I don't like the way he did that.
Reporter
Did he mention the protests that were planned for yesterday?
Roommate
He never mentioned the protest.
Hailey Karenia
What do you make of everything that's happened here?
Roommate
Maybe I mentioned it to him, but I don't think he mentioned anything.
Reporter
What Would you tell him?
Roommate
I would tell him to surrender himself so he could be taken alive because he's like my best friend. So I don't want him to be killed. I don't want him to kill anyone else, you know, So I think if I saw him, I could talk him down.
Reporter
And did he listen to any particular podcasts or TV shows or anything online that concerns you?
Hailey Karenia
O.
Roommate
Well, you, you listen to Infowars. I kind of told, said, well, it's like 50 truth. I kind of said, don't, don't take everything what they say for granted. I wasn't a real truthful.
Hailey Karenia
All right, we can jump out of here some things. But these are very pointed questions by the CBS reporter asking him. Because of course we know that the mainstream media, they like to demonize new media and they like to demonize podcasters, specifically those podcasters as part of the conservative manosphere, like they like to call them. So were they trying to bait him into admitting that this, this suspected murderer was, you know, some right wing toxic masculinity, you know, Joe Rogan listener or what have you that seemed like that was they were trying to find a story to tell and the roommate took the bait saying, yeah, well, he listened to Infowars, he was a fan of Alex Jones. What have you now what they were talking about there with his affiliation. And when I say his, I mean the, the shooter, his affiliation to Governor Walls. He was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton in 2016, then Governor Walls in 2019 to be part of this nonpartisan workforce development board, and he stopped his work there in 2023. I want to make it clear it does not matter if he was appointed by Tim Walls for a position. It doesn't matter if he voted for Trump or liked Trump. It doesn't matter if he listened to Alex Jones. There are plenty of people who fit into these categories who aren't deranged murderers. You can work for Tim Walls and not be a psychopath. You can vote for Trump and not be a psychopath. You can listen to Infowars and not be a psychopath. Everyone is very quick to react in general, but everyone has been very quick to pin the killer to some group or some politician or some party or some podcast. And I think a lot of it stems from wanting to find a motive. I would leave that to law enforcement. I will say the common denominator with all of these cold blooded murderers is that they are deranged, they are mentally ill, they are lost souls driven to violence. For some reason, no one in their Right mind kills another human being unless their life is in danger. So the fact that people can be driven to political violence in this country, it is devastating. Nobody on either side of the aisle should have to fear for their lives. Politicians shouldn't have to be worried about being killed by their constituents or people who disagree with them. This is a tragedy on all fronts. But I will wait to give more of my opinions beyond what I just told you until we hear more from law enforcement. Because like I said in the beginning of the show, you cannot make sense of this because it is a senseless murder. Now, that's how I feel about it. Other people did come out and they were quick to blame Governor Tim Walls. They were blamed to quick to blame other people. So I want to get into some of the other grumblings on the Internet and what have you. So former Minnesota Vikings and University of Minnesota football player Jack Brewer blamed Tim Walls not for the political division, not for this murder in general, but for the chaos in Minnesota. So here's Jack Brewer. I played for the Vikings. This is what, this is what he said to local media. He said, I played for the Vikings. I played for the Gophers. I lived in Minnesota for years. It was not like this. People were respectful. People could disagree and had and have conversations. I still have a lot of family there, and it hurts to see what they are living through. Minnesota has become the capital of chaos in America. That is not right. It is not a reflection of the true people of Minnesota. There are a lot of good people there. But. But the liberal hub around Minneapolis and St. Paul has taken over. It is dangerous. Tim Walls is the leader of that. His Attorney General, Keith Ellison, is right there with him. So Jack Brewer, very critical of Tim Walls. Again, not for the political division that led to this specifically, but just, you know, the liberal lunacy that has taken place in Minnesota, but also just other liberal cities around the country. We've seen this especially with the George Floyd protests in Minnesota and everything that happened there. I understand his frustration and I understand his blame for Tim Walls for that. Now, Utah Senator Mike Lee, he went a step further now, sort of tying Tim Walls to the murders itself or themselves. So here's what he posted on X Nightmare on Wall Street. That's, you know, spelling Governor Tim Wall's last name wrong. But sort of the, the point was made that Nightmare on Wall Street, I mean, this murderer was wearing this kind of scary mask. He was posing as a police officer. So he had this blue suit on, kind of looked like a, you know, like A Halloween character. And this isn't a horror movie. People are living this horror. People are dead today and people are fighting for their lives in the hospital. This isn't a scary movie. This is real life. You're never going to regret waiting to chime in on something. I said this on Friday's show. One of my least favorite things about the news cycle and the news business is how fast it moves because people are very quick to judge. They're quick to come and make a statement on something when they're really not. They don't have all the facts to do so, but they do it anyway because a lot of people want to be first. They care about being first. They care about clickbait on social media, maybe making money. They don't really care about being right. And I think we've gotten away from that. So again, I. You're never going to regret waiting. I know we all know Dan Bongino, the Bungino hold that is. That still rings true. It's, it's. That is the way that new media and media should treat these things. I know obviously mainstream media and other news, they have to cover things right away, but I think we're very quick to try to figure out a motive when that's not our job. And he also posted this on social media. Again, this is Utah Senator Mike Lee. Um, this is what happens when Marxists don't get their way again, kind of buying into this political motivation of it all. We don't know where this man stands. We don't know if he's a Democrat, we don't know if he's a Republican. People say that he's, you know, this infowars watching Trump supporter. Like, I don't know, he had a no kings thing on his manifesto. Where the. I don't know. To me this seems like he's all over the place and he's mentally ill, which of course all shooters are mentally ill. So trying to make sense of this, you know, this is why we don't make snap judgments about motives about who someone is. Wait for the information to come out so you're not caught in a foot in mouth moment. And in the wake of this tragic killing, these no kings protests popped up all over the country here. And I no kings. I mean, first it was take down Tesla and it was, you know, Elon Musk is a Nazi and all this. Now Donald Trump is a fascist and he's a king, apparently. I want to go through some of these signs that protesters had no kings in America. Democracy is not dictatorship. We can, you know, this is. Obviously, we don't live in a dictatorship. That's pretty clear. We voted for Donald J. Trump in November. I don't know where these people were. I don't know. But if we could zoom out here just so I can read that. The president has 34 criminal charges. My parents have zero. The American electorate overwhelmingly supported Trump and the majority of voters support his deportation efforts. His policies are quite unpopular if you are an illegal immigrant. However, no other country allows this kind of mass migration with no vetting process or path to citizenship. If I go to another country and, and if I'm in there for a day longer than I'm supposed to, guess what? They don't play. They're coming for me. They're going to kick me out. I feel for the children who don't know any other home. This isn't their fault. They were born here or brought here at a very young age with no say in the matter. Their parents made a bad decision, brought them into it. It's not right, but actions have consequences. If you self deport, you will have the opportunity to come back in this country and do it the right way. If you don't, you will not be allowed. This is the Trump administration stance. I don't know why people are not figuring that out. We could pull these back up. I'm going to go through them one by one. This is my favorite of all time, by the way. This sign says born to dilly dally forced to fight fascism. Born to dilly dally forced to fight fascism. I who's going to tell her that she is still dilly dallying? She is not fighting anything. She's not fighting fascism. We don't live in a fascist country. Donald Trump is not a fascist dictator. So she's not fighting anything. She's marching around with a sign that is dilly dallying. So I'm very happy for this one, this protester because she's living out her life dream. She is indeed still dilly dallying. That is what protesters do. They make their little signs, they stomp around in the street, they make a lot of noise and that's it. They go home and nothing changes. So good for her. The dilly dally queen, America's only king, Elvis. We can go through these. Okay, so the one on the top says, y' all don't go this hard for white pro white school shooters. If we could scroll to the left. I'm reading that one on the left. Yeah, y' all don't go this hard for white school shooters. What is this? Is this person insinuating that school shooters are not brought to justice? They're either killed on site or they're taken into custody immediately? I mean, I don't. Can someone tell me of a school shooter who just, like, got away with murder? I. I. Actions have consequences. Someone said, you know, like, what right do you have to talk about what's illegal when you voted for a felon? No freedom until we're all equal. I mean, these signs make no sense. America has no king. Nobody is illegal on stolen land. What part of no kings did you not understand?
Reporter
Stand.
Hailey Karenia
I don't know what these people are fighting for, really. Trump is the worst fascist of all time. If he is a fascist, he's sending issues back down to the states. He wants the federal government to have less power. He wants to dismantle federal government, federal agencies. He wants less government in the federal government, less power and more power sent back down to the states that this is not fascism. This is not fascism. No, no Burger King. I mean, these people are insane.
Co-host
What are the odds that most of these people work in the restaurant business or the service business? Seem to have a lot of free time. So maybe they work at Starbucks or they work at the. You know, the Longhorn. Didn't trump this big fascist. Didn't he give them no tax on tips?
Hailey Karenia
He wants to pass no tax on tips. I mean, no tax on overtime, saying, yeah, this happened over the weekend. So I guess this is just how they feel like they spend their free time. Impeach Taco Trump. What happened to liberty? Liberty and justice for all. What justice are they? I mean, we're. The laws on the books. Have to be abided by. I don't understand. I mean, I saw someone say there was a sign that said something like, no freedom until we're all equal. We are all equal. I don't know what equality they're fighting for. Who is not equal under the law. If they want illegal aliens to be equal under the law, they have to become citizens. So what freedoms do American citizens not have? I don't know. All these people are expressing their criticism of the government because they're free. This is the greatest country on earth. Point blank, period. I get why everyone wants to live here. It's amazing. So if you want to be here so badly, show the country some respect. And if you hate it here so much, you're probably very sheltered. So I urge you to go out and see the rest of the world and see how they live. Because I think you'd be very surprised at how privileged you are to live in this country.

What is Dadication?
Father
The thing that drives me every day as a dad is Dariona. We call him Dae Date for short. Every day he's hungry for something, whether it's attention, affection, knowledge. And there's this huge responsibility in making sure that when he's no longer under my wing that he's a good person. I want him to be able to sit back one day and go, we worked together. We did a good job.
Co-host
That's dedication. Find out more@fatherhood.gov brought to you by.
Hailey Karenia
The U.S. department of Health and Human Services and the Ad Council. Yeah, just these people, they really are. They're just dilly dallying. And then, you know, the point about, you know, the. There was a sign that said most Americans are immigrants. Most immigrants are not criminal. Yeah, no, yeah. No one has an issue with.
Co-host
That's not a point anybody's making.
Hailey Karenia
Like, no one has an issue with immigration or immigrants in general. ICE is holding illegal immigrants accountable. That is it. When people are talking about this. No one is illegal on stolen land. I mean, then why are you living? I urge you to go find land that isn't stolen. I urge you to go to another country and see what happens when you overstay your welcome.
Co-host
But the biggest thing about all of this is that we're going after pure criminals right now. These people, especially the ones outside that they're, you know, that they've detained or they're going after in Los Angeles and New York and Chicago. Like, these are bad dudes.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah.
Co-host
Like you're not defending the people that you think you're defending. ICE is going after the bad guys. And even that seems to be a problem.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah, well, I know Vince played this video on the show earlier, but I have to re. I have to play it. This, this 74 year old woman crying. Just crying. Watch this.
Protester
I just. I just. I'm just so scared. I'm. I'm 74 years old. I worry about everything. And I just. I just. I just am so Scared and upset. And I don't, and I don't understand why people, people did voted for this curse.
Hailey Karenia
She's so scared. She's so scared of what? She survived a Trump presidency before and she lived to tell the tale. Now she's crying on national television. What are you so scared about? Who is making her so afraid? I mean, she's buying into the garbage that is fed by to everyone. I don't understand. I mean, what does she have to cry about? She probably owns her house and she paid for it with three blueberries and belly button lint. Go, Go live your life.
Co-host
No, no tax on tips, though. She's doing better than she did three years ago.
Hailey Karenia
Well, that hasn't, that hasn't taken hold yet, but it's gone. Yeah, everyone in the chat is saying mainstream media, I mean, yeah, I guess she's watching cnn, msnbc, and they're just feeding her this garbage. I mean, if you, if you are at, if you're 74 years old and you're at a. No kings protest it, you know, she. It's been a long time since she's been in school. I urge her to open a damn book or travel outside of the country and see what's actually happening with your own eyes. Don't just take the mainstream media's word for it. Open your eyes, live your life. Turn the TV off, go open a book, go walk outside, touch some grass. Everything's going to be okay. It's very sad, actually. I feel for her like she is genuinely very upset.
Co-host
Yeah, very upset meant somebody in the chat just then talked about and just hammering home the mental illness factor with some of these people like it.
Hailey Karenia
They're just, I mean, you're just that far removed from reality. I mean, you're. You get to wake up every day in the greatest country ever. You have access to food, you have all of your rights you could ever want. I don't know. Someone said she should watch the army parade. I feel safe. Yeah, this is just very sad. The protesters are either crying or they're crying because they fade and fo d. So here's one video of a protester f owing. There are just protesters hanging on to the front of a truck, allegedly an ice vehicle. She just threw her hat off or threw her wig off or something, but she kept her mask on. She took her mask down to keep yelling. But, you know, if you are hanging on a vehicle and then something bad happens, I don't feel bad for you. This is stupid. This is play stupid games, win stupid prizes. So this. You know, that protester that I just showed you didn't get hurt from what we could see in this video, but this woman, she got run over. Watch. So here you can see she's standing in front of this red car. The red car. What, the steps. On the gas. Out of my way. Move. Get out the way. In the wise words of ludicrous. Yeah, I. I can't feel bad. I don't have, like, an ounce of, you know, what's to give for this lady? If you are standing in front of a car and you are preventing a car from driving down the street, if you are blocking traffic, you are. You know what's going to happen next? What is this person gonna do? Sit in their car forever and let a mob surround them? And they're not gonna get out of their car, and they're just, what's the point? What do you want to happen? The guy to get out with his hands. Just fall to his knees with his hands up and say, you know, I surrender to the woke mob. What do you like? What's the goal?
Co-host
That girl that was backing up with that Mack truck doesn't know how lucky that she is that nothing. Nothing bad, bad happened. Like, that's. That was. She was incredibly lucky. And, you know, it's probably going to go viral, I guess, because of this. But, like, this is. You get to the point to where, like, you do stupid stuff like that, and it's extremely dangerous.
Hailey Karenia
This is why Ron DeSantis has. Has said in the state of Florida, and I've seen videos from protests in Florida. It seems like the. The protesters are staying on the sidewalks in Florida. And you want to know why? Because the governor said if a mob surrounds your car, you have every right to. You have every right to defend yourself. You do not have to let a mob surround your car. If there are people in the way, you don't. They don't have to be in your way. Let's just put it that way. You can play car bowling and get them out of your way.
Co-host
So what's on her tombstone when she. When she's buried, if she's ran over by the Mack truck?
Hailey Karenia
Ice did this. Ice was here.
Co-host
Put me on ice.
Hailey Karenia
I don't know. Oh, my gosh. There's people. There's some Floridians in the chat who have no mercy for these protesters. I don't blame you. I don't. I don't know if I would run people over. If I felt like my life was in danger, I would. But I'm not going anywhere where these protests are. People were asking me, should I, should I go to the protest just to like, check it out? No. I said big fat no. Do not go to these. Do not go to just check it out. Do not go to just see what there is to see. This is not something that I want anyone going to let them do this and act this way and act a fool. I don't want anyone on our side getting wrapped up in something that they shouldn't be wrapped up in. There's no point, no point at all. And I was in New York this weekend. I didn't see any protests, thankfully. I mean, it was raining. Really. I mean, it was raining pretty much all weekend, so there's pretty poor weather. So maybe that deterred some of the protests. I didn't see any. But I also wasn't in areas where protests take place. I was, you know, evading those areas because avoiding those areas for good reason. Okay, so the Democrat royal wedding happened over the weekend. Huma Abedine and Alex Soros tied the knot. And you know what they say when it's rainy day on your wedding, that makes, that's good luck. That's what people say. I think people just say that because they don't want brides to feel bad about it being a, a bad day, like a bad weather day. But people say that a wet knot is harder to untie. That is the, the feeling behind that.
Co-host
Do you believe that 8 billion or what is with a hundred billion is probably hard to walk away from too? So feel good about that.
Hailey Karenia
Certainly. Certainly. So beyond the Soros family, Huma Abedine's family, this is the guest list. The Clintons were there. Vice President Kamala Harris, Doug Emhoff were there. Senator Chuck Schumer's there. Representative Hakeem Jeffries was there. Speaker Pelosi was there. Former Speaker Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi, uh, Nikki Hilton Rothschild was there. Vogue editor Anna Wintour was there. Some other foreign dignitaries and whatnot. But this, I feel like was a let them eat cake moment. You know, all these Democrat voters are like stomping around all day in the rain because they're fighting against, you know, Trump and everything. And all the Democrats are just like, whatever. You know, Hillary Clinton's eating her grilled prawns while she's rage tweeting at Donald Trump about crowd size at the army Prey, the Army's 250th birthday. All these world leaders, top Democrat donors are just eating the finest foods, dancing the night away. The protests are a Hundred miles away. I wonder if Alex Soros planned this, because we know that the Soroses are behind, and the Open Societies foundation is behind a lot of these protests. They fund the protests. They're behind the groups that fund the protests. But where there's smoke, there's fire. The Soroses are involved, allegedly. And I wonder if he planned this. You know, all these no Kings protests on the same day. Like, hey, everyone stay over.
Co-host
Yeah, everybody look over. Look over here. While we have a good time, Everyone.
Hailey Karenia
Go to the protests. 100 miles away in New York City. We're gonna be in, you know, Bridgehampton or Watermill, wherever their house is. And, like, everyone stay away from us. That's. Or maybe it's, you know, if they're. If the news media is covering that, they won't be covering our wedding. I don't know. But here's Hillary Clinton tweeting at Donald Trump or about Donald Trump, about, you know, crowd sizes, of course. Compare and contrast scenes from yesterday in America. On the one hand, Trump's low energy Dear Leader parade that cost you $45 million. On the other, millions of people across the country gathering peacefully to say here, we have no kings. And that is true. We have no kings. You didn't have to protest. There are no kings. Trump is not a king. So all of this is for. Not Hillary Clinton. I checked her. Her X account. She made no mention of the state lawmaker who was murdered and the other one who was shot in Minnesota. This could have been an opportunity to condemn political violence. But maybe that's not part of her. Maybe that's not part of her brand. But this is just, like, not. She's just not a serious person. Hillary Clinton, she just. We want her to go away. She never goes away. She never gets the memo. She's always. She's always back.
Co-host
It's almost comical how you think she's gone and then she's never gone.
Hailey Karenia
And then, like, it's been so long since 2016, and she's still talking about, you know, the loss and. And all this stuff. It's like, get over it, girl. Anyway, hopefully she enjoyed herself at the wedding. Someone in the chat said, lock her up. Hillary, you're a liar. Hillary could never be king. Yeah, I want to get into the Simone Biles feud with Riley Gaines, because it kind of. I don't want to say it reached a fever pitch. I feel like it ended. The beef ended over the weekend because Riley Gaines had the last laugh. But first, Olympic gymnast Michaela Skinner, she got in on the beef. She made a statement to OANN America One News Network, and she said, as an athlete who have dedicated years to a sport, I've always believed that true competition should elevate us, not diminish others. That's why it's deeply troubling to see Simone Biles publicly label a fellow female athlete a sore loser simply for expressing valid concerns about fairness in women's sports. I commend and appreciate Riley Gaines for having the courage to speak up. Women like her are not only standing for fairness, but for the future of female athletics herself, itself. She deserves support, not ridicule. Throughout my own career, I endured being belittled, dismissed and ostracized behind the scenes by Simone. The pressure to stay silent was immense. I kept quiet out of respect for the sport, for my teammates, and for the ideal of unity among athletes. But witnessing this kind of public shaming, especially from someone in a position of influence, makes that silence no longer acceptable. The statement was longer. But this is very interesting to hear from other gymnasts now coming out upset with Simone Biles. Simone Biles and all Olympians, by the way, are supposed to be an inspiration for the country. I think, you know, the Americans love when the Olympics roll around. It gives us a sense of pride in our country. And everyone loves rooting for Team usa, no matter what the sport. I mean, everyone wants to see our country do well. And, of course, Simone Biles is. How many gold medals does she have? Do you mind looking that up for me? I think it might be 8. 6 or 8. I don't know off the top of my head, but I'll let you know in a moment. Um, but she certainly is one of the most decorated Olympians. Okay, there we go. So again, most. One of the most decorated Olympians in history. And she is a. She should be, I should say, an inspiration for women. And for her to come out and, you know, make statements about Riley Gaines body and kind of body shame her, which is. Democrats don't stand for that. But, you know, here Simone Biles is making fun of Riley Gaines, not because she's doing anything wrong, but because she's a conservative. And, you know, for Simone Biles, it's. She thought she was doing the popular thing, popular by the left standards, standing up for trans athletes. But that's not where the majority of Americans stand. The majority of Americans supported Trump's executive order to ban men from women's sports. This is common sense. But I will say the beef is over because Riley Gaines had the last laugh. She was speaking at A women's summit for Turning Point usa. And she announced this.
Riley Gaines
But I think the funniest thing about this to me, and her saying, bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a man. How many men do you know that have this?
Hailey Karenia
Mic drop, mic drop. Riley Gaines announcing that she is pregnant with her first baby with her husband Lewis. Love it. Not only was that a great way to announce it, with a room full of conservative women who support her. So hearing that cheering that, you know, the laughter, the cheering, the claps was really cool. But yeah, Simone Biles, you know, she said, bully someone your own size, which would be a man. And to Riley Gaines point, men cannot get pregnant. This is what she stands for. So it was a really perfect way to announce that. I thought, I want to get into very quickly some of this. Well, what do you think? Should I get into some of the, like, LA Dodgers pride stuff, or do you want me to get into the. The planes?
Co-host
The Dodger stuff is neat. I mean, it's like, why is this.
Hailey Karenia
Forego the, the plane stories. We'll just do the, the Dodger stuff and then we'll go into scrolling time quick. But I did have kind of like a conspiratorial story, but maybe I'll just say that for tomorrow. Yeah. So all these MLB teams, as we know, this is not the first year that this has happened, but they, they have pride nights. And you know, we've seen in years past, some players, they kind of begrudgingly take part in the pride stuff. I know some NHL players have been, They've come out and said, like, hell no, I'm not doing this. But when it comes to the mlb, they are certainly. When the, when it comes to the front offices, they're very woke. The players are really not. Baseball is pretty conservative. Most baseball players are conservative, but I guess they just have to go along with this corporate woke nonsense. Um, but here, the Mets, the New York Mets, they had a, A, a pride night, and during the national anthem, they, they showed the pride flag, not the American flag.
Protester
Watch.
Hailey Karenia
Did you see that? We can replay that. But she's singing the national anthem and they have the pride flag with the trans colors and the black and brown triangle. I mean, why would the camera guy zoom in on that flag? Wrong flag. Wrong flag. That's a really weird choice that they made. Yeah, very, very weird choice. We do not show the pride flag during the national anthem in this country. This was a mistake.
Co-host
The Mets fans, like, what percentage of people, like, why are you doing this?
Hailey Karenia
Like, look, why, like, dei. I don't know. They feel like they need to make statements. They feel like they need to. I don't know. I mean, like, are gay people watching baseball? I don't know. It doesn't matter. Who cares? Like, that's my point.
Co-host
It's like one thing that everyone is, is an American. Put the American flag up.
Hailey Karenia
I mean, it's the national anthem. There should be no other flag but the United. I mean, the American flag. I mean, it's just insane. Anyway, the LA Dodgers are even worse. Well, yeah, I mean, I would say this is worse. This is. I mean, maybe you could chalk it up to some woke cameraman at the New York Mets who decided to, you know, zoom in on the wrong flag during the pride night or whatever, but this is bad. So the LA Dodgers, they had someone called Neza sing the national anthem, but she decided to take it upon herself to do it in Spanish. Watch.
Riley Gaines
Okay, we are going to do the.
Hailey Karenia
Song in English today.
Riley Gaines
So I'm not sure if that was.
Hailey Karenia
In transfer, if that wasn't really. She's crying with me because I'm still.
Singer
Very shooken up and emotional and I just. Anyways, I just got home from singing the national anthem in Spanish at the Dodgers game. And it is the official Star Spangled Banner in Spanish. You can Google it, so I'll just read it to you really quick. But it was officially commissioned in 1945 by the US State Department as a part of President Franklin Roosevelt's good neighbor policy to foster a better relationship with Latin America. Because of this, I didn't think I would be met with any sort of like. No, especially because we're in LA and with everything happening. And I've sang the national anthem many times in my life, but there was today, out of all days, I could not. I'm sorry.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah, I'm sorry. You should say I'm sorry and actually mean it. In the beginning of that video, you could see the LA Dodgers. You could hear the LA Dodgers staff members say, I don't know if there was a miscommunication, we need you to sing this in English. And she was kind of like, you know, nodding along. And then in the text of the video, she said, I was planning on singing it in Spanish and I did it anyway. So the LA Dodgers wanted her to sing the national anthem in English so that everyone in the stands could sing along. But no, she went along and did it in Spanish anyway to prove a point. Because of the LA riots, she, I guess, wanted to stand in solidarity with these protesters. Um, she is not in favor of what's going on, so she wanted to make a stand this way. That is not, this is not the way to do it. This is extremely disrespectful. And not only that. So the LA Dodgers, and we know the LA Dodgers, have, have been extremely disrespectful during Pride Nights in previous years, which I'll get into in a moment. But this year, the LA Dodgers, they had them wear rainbow logos on their hats. And one of their players, Clayton Kershaw, he added Genesis chapter 9, verse 12 through 16 on his hat so you could see the LA is in the rainbow logo. And he wrote Gen 9:12 through 16, which says, this is the sign of the covenant I have making between me and you and every living creature with you. A covenant for all generations to come. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. So this is his way, Clayton's way of saying if he's going to have to wear a rainbow on his hat, he can do so with the intention of bringing all the glory back to God. Rainbows are not just a symbol of the LGBTQ community. And like we, like, we know, last year the LA Dodgers invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to this Pride Night event. And they are, It's a gay drag community. They dress up as nuns, which is extremely disrespectful and sacrilegious. And last year, Clayton Kershaw, the same player, protested the organization's decision. This was 2003. I apologize. Two years ago, he protested the, the Dodgers decision to honor these Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence because he said it was a mockery of Christianity, which it is. He said, I, I, I don't agree with making fun of other people's religions. It has nothing to do with anything other than that. I just don't think that no matter what religion you are, you should make fun of somebody else's religion. So that's something I definitely don't agree with. Amen. It's sacrilegious. It's disgusting. So they, they start by two years ago making fun of Christianity and Catholicism. And then, of course, they have to keep going. They invite someone who pulls a stunt and sings the national anthem in Spanish.
Co-host
I can tell you right now, the.
Hailey Karenia
Players, the players do not.
Co-host
Yeah, NFL, NBA, baseball, I mean, they're selected people that are obviously liberal, but overarchingly, the players are not into this at all. And he pitches every five days, and he makes $40 million a year. I mean, he bless him, but walk up the steps and have a talk with the boss because, like, that's how this stops. They just don't play. Bottom line, it doesn't need to be public. It doesn't need to be anything. You just walk up on a Tuesday morning and say, not wearing.
Hailey Karenia
I won't be there.
Co-host
I'm not playing. And it stops because this comes from the top. And it's just unfortunate that, like, players have to write something beside a Pride.
Hailey Karenia
Logo, I think, to tip people off.
Co-host
They're not part of it.
Hailey Karenia
His point, though, is I don't have any hatred for the gay community or the LGBTQ community. I'm taking this logo back. You want me to wear it for this purpose? I have no hatred towards them, but I'm going to bring all the glory back to God. That is where I stand. And I think that was actually. We wouldn't be talking about him or this statement if he decided not to play. We wouldn't know that he wasn't there because he disagreed with it. So I think this was a very tasteful way to protest. It's not even a protest. I mean, he's just displaying his faith. And I think that's beautiful. I think it's beautiful. All right, let's get into scrolling time real quick. All right, I picked this one because I was just in New York this weekend and this man, assuming he's a Democrat or was a Democrat but is now kind of come to terms with reality, he's living in crime ridden New York and now he's begging people to vote red.
New Yorker
Watch New Yorkers. I'm urging you, please vote red. As a liberal, bro. I'm tired of the crime, son. And I don't even got to do none. My abortion or whatever else. Gay rights, whatever. I want the crime out of my city. I'm urging you, please. There's no reason why I got to leave a note in my car saying there's nothing valuable, so nobody steal my shit. This is not the reason my parents came to this country. Please, I'm urging you, New Jersey, you too. If I get assaulted on the subway, why can't I defend myself? Ban guns. The criminals still gonna have them. They don't care about the law. That's the whole reason why I'm spewing this conservative shit. I don't like criminals. I don't like crime in my city. Make it happen.
Hailey Karenia
Listen, you live in a deep blue city for long enough, and you live long enough to see yourself become the villain you get red pilled real quick because no one wants to live amongst crime. No one wants to have to write a sign on their car saying, please don't loot me. People have to board up their businesses during protests and say, you, you know, black owned, women owned, whatever, owned. Like, please, you know, we're one of you. Please don't loot. Please don't set my business on fire. They do it anyway. They're just criminals. So I don't blame this man. I mean, you live in a law a blue city long enough and you start to come to the realization maybe these Democrat policies are not working for me anymore. Now he's, he's a liberal urging people to vote Republican. I don't know, what do we think? Do we think this is gonna.
Co-host
He sounds Republican.
Hailey Karenia
It sounds like he's Republican. I think he's made his mind up, you know, he's like, as a liberal, bro, vote Republican. I'm like, I don't know. Seems like he's already on our side. I'd be interested.
Co-host
Well, there's nothing like put somebody on your side than lighting fire to people in the subway. You know what I mean? I mean, I think I'm asking for a trade when I start seeing stuff like that go down.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. All right, this next video is an AI video, so it's not real, but it's hilarious. This is Gen Z pd. Do you have what it takes to be part of the squad?
Riley Gaines
We have the strictest fitness standards here at Gen Z PD to keep the community safe. Our test is comparable to the Navy Seals. The test is a half mile walk in under 30 minutes, clearing a two foot wall and doing one half of a push up. So if you think you had what it takes to pass the test, come join our team.
Hailey Karenia
I could do it. I could be on the squad. I don't feel very safe, but I could pass those fitness standards for sure.
Co-host
Immediate thought is she needs to go to the gym that we saw last week. Where all of them were. Where all of them were. I would say a punch, slap the back. I don't know.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah, she does. Oh, man, this next one. This pisses me off so much. We could play this. This is a. A tourist who decided to go to the Palazzo Mafe, a museum in Verona, Italy. And there was what Nicola Bola has created. It is a Van Gogh chair. That's what it's called. It is a chair covered in Swarovski crystals. Again, you know, I don't really consider this art. I wouldn't Go and, you know, look at this. But this. This spectator went to go to the museum and sat on the chair there. You could see right there in the video, there's a sign on the chair that probably says, don't sit, but these people do it anyway. I don't know why. I don't know why people need to touch stuff in museums. Don't touch it. Then you have the climate activists. They're throwing soup on stuff. It's like, it's so disrespectful. You don't need to touch stuff. Don't touch the art. What are you doing?
Co-host
This is a real life example of that commercial with Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt. When they're in the museum and there's a banana taped to the wall, and that's supposed to be the exhibit, and.
Hailey Karenia
That was at Art Basel in Miami.
Co-host
They eat the banana.
Hailey Karenia
What did that go for? I think it was Art Basel. Art Basil. Is that how you say it? I'm. I'm not in the art world. Banana.
Co-host
Well, if you're taping a. If you're duct taping a banana, if.
Hailey Karenia
You can pull up the photo so that everyone in the chat watching can see. But this is. This was literally a duct taped banana at. If you could scroll down so they could maybe see a video or, I mean, a picture of it. But it was $6.2 million. $6.2 million. It was a banana duct taped to the wall. This is crazy. People. I don't know why people buy this stuff. What's the point? Just to say, like, I have felt.
Co-host
Yeah, we'll get this up on the screen. But look. Look at that.
Hailey Karenia
That's art.
Co-host
You tell me how many times I've seen duct tape used in East Tennessee. You know, we. We call that East Tennessee. We call that Appalachian chrome. It's on so many cars.
Hailey Karenia
I can do this in. I can do this in my apartment tonight if it's not a milk.
Co-host
Yeah, but if you'd have told me growing up that I could have used the same application to keep the bumper up on my Jeep Cherokee, as I could tape a banana to some Sheetrock and sell it for some cash. I mean, I got to think. I got to open credit to him. I got to open my mind up to some of this stuff. This is like, these people are winning.
Hailey Karenia
Yeah, they are winning. You know, it like, you can make fun of them all you want, but they're richer than us. So, anyway, on that note, thank you for watching Nightly scroll tonight. Love that you all scroll with me in the chat. If you want to scroll with my homies, you got to do it on rumble rumble.com Haley of course. Nightly Scroll with Hayley – Episode 70: "We Can’t Make Sense of Senseless Murders"
Release Date: June 16, 2025
In Episode 70 of Nightly Scroll with Hayley, host Hayley Caronia delves into a series of distressing and timely issues, blending sharp conservative commentary with insightful analysis. This episode navigates through a tragic political assassination, scrutinizes liberal protests, and examines public reactions to prominent cultural events. Below is a comprehensive summary of the key discussions, insights, and conclusions drawn during the show.
The episode opens with a harrowing account of a mass shooting targeting Minnesota lawmakers and their families. Hayley Caronia details the incident, emphasizing the brutality and senselessness of the act.
Overview of the Incident:
A gunman, posing as a police officer, fatally shot former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark in their home, leaving behind two children. The shooter also attacked Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, who miraculously survived despite severe injuries.
Manifesto and Motives:
Authorities discovered a manifesto listing 50 to 70 names, including lawmakers, politicians, doctors, and abortion rights activists. Notably, the manifesto featured the phrase "No Kings," linking the act to the recent protests.
Hayley’s Commentary:
Hayley refrains from prematurely attributing political motives, stating, “We cannot rush to judgment and we cannot make sense of senseless murders” (00:00). She emphasizes the importance of allowing law enforcement to uncover the true motives behind the killings.
While recognizing the politically charged nature of the murders, Hayley urges caution in assigning motives before all facts are available.
Hayley's Stance:
“Everyone is very quick to react in general, but everyone has been very quick to pin the killer to some group or some politician or some party or some podcast” (06:50). She highlights the tendency to seek motives rapidly, which can lead to misinformation and unwarranted blame.
Law Enforcement Updates:
The suspect surrendered after a two-day manhunt and faces charges including second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, with potential federal charges that could lead to the death penalty.
The tragedy sparked immediate reactions, with figures like former Minnesota Vikings player Jack Brewer and Utah Senator Mike Lee attributing societal chaos to political leadership.
Jack Brewer’s Remarks:
“Minnesota has become the capital of chaos in America... Tim Walls is the leader of that” (14:20). Brewer criticizes Governor Tim Walls and Attorney General Keith Ellison for fostering a liberal environment that breeds disorder.
Senator Mike Lee’s Reaction:
Lee equates the murders to political extremism, stating, “This isn't a horror movie. This is real life” (35:00). He condemns the rapid judgment by mainstream media and emphasizes waiting for factual information.
The "No Kings" movement has gained traction with protests featuring perplexing and often contradictory signage. Hayley dissects several signs, highlighting their lack of coherence and effectiveness.
Examples of Protest Signs:
Hayley’s Critique:
She deconstructs the signs' messages, arguing they are often nonsensical and fail to convey a clear, actionable stance. “These signs make no sense... America has no king” (23:12).
A notable segment covers the wedding of Huma Abedine and Alex Soros, highlighting the juxtaposition of elite celebrations against widespread protests.
Event Details:
The wedding was attended by prominent Democratic figures, including Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi, amidst ongoing "No Kings" protests.
Hayley’s Analysis:
She portrays the event as out of touch with the public's struggles, suggesting a disconnect between political elites and the general populace. “They [Democrats] are just stomping around all day in the rain because they're fighting against, you know, Trump and everything” (34:50).
The episode shifts focus to a public disagreement between Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and conservative commentator Riley Gaines, culminating in Gaines announcing her pregnancy.
Michaela Skinner’s Statement:
A fellow gymnast criticized Biles for labeling conservatively-minded athletes as "sore losers," advocating for fairness in women's sports (38:02).
Riley Gaines’ Victory:
At a women's summit, Gaines publicly announced her pregnancy, turning the tide in her favor: “But I think the funniest thing about this to me... men cannot get pregnant” (41:30).
Hayley’s Perspective:
She applauds Gaines’ handling of the feud, viewing it as a strategic win over Biles’ criticism.
Hayley critiques Major League Baseball's Pride Night initiatives, particularly focusing on the New York Mets and LA Dodgers.
New York Mets Incident:
During the national anthem, the pride flag was displayed instead of the American flag, which Hayley deems inappropriate. “We do not show the pride flag during the national anthem in this country” (43:58).
LA Dodgers' Actions:
Dodgers players wore rainbow logos and quotations from Genesis to symbolize their stance, with Clayton Kershaw attaching a biblical reference to his hat: “I have set my rainbow in the clouds” (47:05). Hayley interprets this as a conflation of LGBTQ symbols with her faith, expressing disapproval.
Protesters’ Reactions:
She underscores the perceived disconnect between corporate initiatives and the genuine sentiments of conservative fans and players.
In the "Scrolling Time" segment, Hayley highlights various viral videos and public statements, offering her conservative analysis.
New Yorker Urging Red Vote:
A self-identified liberal in New York, frustrated by rising crime, declares support for Republican candidates: “I'm urging you, please vote red. As a liberal, bro” (52:16).
AI-Generated Gen Z Police Department Video:
A satirical take on Gen Z’s perception of law enforcement fitness standards, prompting Hayley to humorously express her capability to pass the tests: “I could do it. I could be on the squad” (54:42).
Van Gogh Chair Vandalism:
A tourist vandalizes a Swarovski-crystal-covered "Van Gogh Chair" in Verona, Italy, which Hayley criticizes as disrespectful: “Don't touch the art. What are you doing?” (55:31).
Duct-Taped Banana Art Incident:
Referencing a real-life art purchase of a duct-taped banana sold for $6.2 million, Hayley mocks the absurdity: “That's art” (57:42).
Throughout the episode, Hayley Caronia maintains a consistent theme of skepticism towards liberal agendas and mainstream media narratives. She advocates for rational discourse, caution against jump-to-conclusions, and highlights what she perceives as the disconnect between political elites and everyday citizens.
Mental Health and Political Violence:
Hayley underscores that political violence often stems from mental illness rather than ideological motivations, cautioning against politicizing such tragedies: “The common denominator with all of these cold blooded murderers is that they are deranged, they are mentally ill” (25:24).
Call for Unity and Rationality:
Emphasizing that no political affiliation justifies violence, she advocates for unity and rational investigation: “Nobody on either side of the aisle should have to fear for their lives” (25:24).
Critique of Media and Public Reactions:
Hayley criticizes the media’s role in perpetuating divisions and fueling unnecessary antagonism: “One of my least favorite things about the news cycle and the news business is how fast it moves” (34:57).
Hayley Caronia on Murders:
“We cannot rush to judgment and we cannot make sense of senseless murders.” (00:00)
Jack Brewer on Minnesota’s Chaos:
“Minnesota has become the capital of chaos in America... Tim Walls is the leader of that.” (14:20)
Hayley on Media Reaction:
“Everyone is very quick to react in general, but everyone has been very quick to pin the killer to some group or some politician or some party or some podcast.” (06:50)
Riley Gaines Announcing Pregnancy:
“Men cannot get pregnant.” (41:53)
Hayley on Mental Illness and Violence:
“The common denominator with all of these cold blooded murderers is that they are deranged, they are mentally ill.” (25:24)
