Luca has a bunch of sky miles he wants to use and we'll end with some rapid fire fun. But first, something different. Today we're drafting LeBron James top teammates of all time. Five rounds total is how we're going to do this draft. Selecting LeBron teammates from either Cleveland Cavaliers stint. All right, that's 0304 rookie LeBron to 0910 and then again 1415 to 1718 when he won the title in 2016 with the Cavs. That's round one, round two, his run in South beach with the Heat, 2010 to 2014. You also have in round three his eight year campaign with the Lakers. 1819 to 25 26. Round four will be his upcoming Sixers team. So this upcoming season, 2627. And then finally we're going to end this, this draft, this building LeBron teammate teams by picking a specific LeBron era. So LeBron's got to be on a LeBron team here. So you'll have to pick which LeBron era from those ones I just went through. Important note here guys. You only get the teammate from the time he played with LeBron. For example, you would get old ass Cavs Shaq. Okay, you wouldn't get world dominant Lakers Shaq if you are to select him or you get current Joel Embiid, you don't get MVP season Embiid you know much that's that is not as glaring difference I think as the old shack to the prime Shaq. But you get the point here. Uh, trivia question to decide who goes first between you two guys. But we'll take turns as we move through the rounds up to this point LeBron has played with 250 different teammates. He's going to be adding some new ones with the Sixers. That's not an NBA record. According to Basketball Reference, Jeff Green has had more teammates than any player in NBA history. What's the number? I'm going to give you the first crack here, Trey.

Yeah. Over Stephen, Game seven there. He was incredible in that Finals. I mean, we'll get more into that Finals and. And what happened there. But yeah, the way they turned it on in game five, six, seven. Yeah, it's Kyrie. It's Kyrie. And. And, yeah, maybe it didn't end all that well with LeBron James. Maybe he was a little envious of LeBron getting all the accolades, getting the prestige, getting everybody on that plane that he wanted while Kyrie couldn't. But still, yeah, it's easy. I got Kyrie no problem. Yeah, that was a good one.

I'll take the other guy. That made all star teams. With LeBron playing in Cleveland, I mean, I guess there are a few more. I'm not going. Mo Williams, Come on. I ain't going. I might have my long list.

Give me Kevin Love, though. Yeah, it was pretty solid playing with LeBron. Made two all star teams. 17 and 10. 37% from three. Is he the number one big guy I would want in the LeBron James draft? Probably not, no.

I'm going to be trying to build a roster. Like, I don't want four bigs on my super LeBron team here. So I think it comes into play.

True. Well, he can play any position. All right. So, yeah, this was an issue here. When we were deciding to do this, I knew I was going to have the third pick, at least in the first round. And I'm like, okay, one of them is going to take Kyrie, the other is going to take Kevin Love. And then I'm going to be like, who the hell am I going to take from either of LeBron's Cleveland Cavalier stint? Here are some names to consider. J.R. smith. Sure. Past his prime. Shaq, as we talked about, Zyrunas Algowskis was solid. Tristan Thompson, Larry Hughes. Like, it's. I mean, look at the fall off here from Kyrie and Kevin Love. So you said his name already. Trey. I'm taking Mo Williams.

Okay.

Specifically, specifically 0809 All Star Mo Williams. That's the one awesome year. This is a very good Mo Williams year. He averaged 18 points per game. He shot. And this is very important for the building of my team. Mo Williams shot 44% from deep that season with five three point attempts per game. So, you know, back then, that was a decent number. Today that, you know, we would laugh and roll our eyes at that. But mo Williams helped LeBron and the Cavs win 66 games that season, and they steamrolled through the first two playoff series. They didn't lose a game. And then they lost to the Magic in the Eastern Conference finals. They lost in six. But I checked. It wasn't Mo Williams fault. He was okay. Got his numbers. No, I will say he was probably. He was like, look, it was LeBron on one side, it was Dwight on the other side for the Atlanta Magic. And then it was like, Mo Williams did get outplayed overall by Rashard Lewis of all guys who had a really good series. So, yeah, that's. Just wanted to bring that up going back.

You know, history there for you. But I'll take Mo Williams. I'm not happy about it, but. Well, who was I to take?

I didn't realize that you'd be picking third for sure. So I did my homework. I would take Anderson. Verjev didn't even mention him. I'm taking him. I am taking. He is the one guy of all these guys that we mentioned still living in the Cleveland area. He was interviewed by. Interviewed by Joaquim Noah earlier this season. Yeah, earlier this year, Joaquim Noah, you know, kind of went back and apologized for what he said about Cleveland back when he was a player. Went to Andy's house. That Guy played literally 12 years as a Cav. Great story in that. In his 12th year, he gets traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Golden State warriors. And that's the year Cleveland goes and beats Golden State in quarter. The fourth finals. Pretty funny. But he was their garbage man. Do we still have the garbage man poster of me? No, we took that down. Yeah, he was their garbage man. There's no doubt. He didn't get. He didn't get buckets. No, no.

I. I'm taking Williams, though, because I'm. I'm projecting ahead here for these other franchises and other picks I'll have. There's, like a lot more bigs, so I'm like. I feel like there's fewer actually super talented guards that are going to be available, so I'm taking a point card.

He was awesome alongside LeBron as well. The funny thing is this isn't totally peak Dwayne Wade. Peak Dwayne Wade was this season right before LeBron got to Miami, but he still played awesome next to LeBron. Kind of petered out at the end of his career, and taking him as a heat means I don't have to deal with the old, washed Dwayne Wade, who played with LeBron on the Cavs.

So, yes, I'm taking the heat.

You're making that very clear. Yeah. Okay. I, I know you had a. I don't know which one of you posted it yesterday, but you were, like, on our socials. I guess the idea of who was the better. These would be third options for LeBron teammates between Kevin Love and Chris Bosh. That's a fun. It's a fun debate. I, I, I had leaned towards one particular guy, but as you know, there was some discussion going on, and then a lot of people saying, what about Anthony Davis? But, like, he was the second option. So it is a little different that way.

We'll start with the Philadelphia Inquirer and I'm tweaking the headline a little bit. But the point is Rich Paul, his agent floats. LeBron playing four more seasons after energizing 76ers decision. So after he decides to go to Philly, Rich Paul is suddenly saying, ah, you know, not all, maybe, maybe two, maybe four more left in this guy. Is this news?

I think there's a good chance that LeBron James plays four more seasons for several reasons. First, I think he wants to put the biggest gap between him and Kareem atop the all time NBA scoring list. Second, in case Kareem's coming back number one. Second reason, I think he's going to like playing with Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Brown. Tyrese Maxey calls him his big bro. I think everybody kind of undervalues what Jalen Brown was for the Boston Celtics his whole friggin career and that they will connect. And that ties into a third reason why Rich Paul essentially said that LeBron could play four seasons. He's going to feel more energized and that's part of it. Just he's going to like playing with these guys. If he's not energized, it's going to be Michael Jordan from the Wizards two years. See you later. But I do think those guys are going to take up so many minutes from him, get him to the playoffs where he is going to be revitalized and play some basketball in a different way than he has with the Lakers. If LeBron wanted to like recede into the background and just continue to be a part of a team which apparently he loves, he could probably play like 10 more seasons if he really wanted to. But my main takeaway from this was that this guy must have really hated the Lakers because when he announced his decision, he's like, I was ready to retire as soon as the season was over. And now just by choosing the 76ers, he's like, four more years. That's how happy he was to get out of LA.

Guess so. So LeBron, entering his 24th NBA season, he's going to turn 42 on December 30th. He will be the oldest active player in the NBA next season. But he's far from the oldest ever, which is sort of mind boggling. LeBron will begin the season as the ninth oldest player in NBA history. If he completes his two season deal. So just two years, he would retire as the fourth oldest player in NBA history. So there are still guys that somehow stuck around now. They're not like LeBron, where we're like, oh, is he still top 25, top 20? Is he still all NBA? Like, we actually still have these debates and fair these other guys we're talking about, it's like Robert Parish was a grandfather in the NBA. Could LeBron become the second grandpa? I don't know Bronny James, I don't know his relationships right now and the kids on the way or he's thinking about that early in his life.

All right, next headline here. Next headline one task is pumped to talk about. ESPN has the headline NBA inquiry into Clippers and Kawhi Leonard could go into 2027. Is this news?

[Trey Kirby]

Tas, listen, I'm not excited to talk about it, but I will say this is news. I do feel like the longer this goes on, the heavier the hand that'll come from Adam Silver. I think Adam Silver is going to give a legitimate punishment. And the reason why I might go into 2027 is because both parties, the MBPA representing Kawhi and the Clippers, may not agree to it along with the league. So as Adam Silver puts the hand down because he wants to be fair and he wants to come out of this clean, I think, and that he's actually administering a real punishment. This may go to an arbitrator and then there'll be an appeal. And so it could take a very long time because I do think as more and more of this Pablo Torre investig side of the investigation comes out, like, first, I think there's just a couple things, like, because I'm Stiller has to. Has to look at this and really come down with heavy hand. I think the. The stuff like the two aspiration employees brought the initial complaint forward to the federal government under the penalty of perjury. And that's. That's some real stuff here. Literally under the penalty of perjury. Now, this new soccer team allegation where money allegedly funneled to Kawhi through a soccer team, I mean, I just think it's getting more and more in deep with everything involved. So I do think it becomes.

So what does this mean for the Kawhi Leonard trade to the Raptors?

[Trey Kirby]

Yep. It's. It's dependent on if the Clippers accept it. Really accept their punishment. Really?

[Tas Melis]

After the Raptors, you mean accept it?

[Trey Kirby]

No. Well, no, that if. If Kawhi and the Clippers accept the punishment that's given to them and it's on them, they take that punishment and then can move on to the trade. I think that's where.

[Tas Melis]

Well, last I checked, the season starts in 2026, and if this goes on through 2027, then that means he would not be, I guess, on the Raptors at the start of the season.

[Trey Kirby]

That's correct.

[JD]

Or they could come in or they could. We're fine with whatever's going to happen.

Yeah.

[JD]

And he's going to maybe have to sit 30 games and they just don't know. And I mean, if you're a Raptors fan and they still want to do the trade, you want the investigation done sooner because you don't want him to be suspended for an important 30 games. Yeah. What if it comes down in May?

Exactly. I mean, that's why they almost can't like it.

I don't know.

Yeah, it makes sense that it's taken this long because there's, like, hesitant witnesses. There's people who don't want to get caught lying. And then, of course, Adam Silver has to have this 100% perfect because Steve Ballmer has more money than the league. So, you know, he's going to have incredible lawyers ready to fight whatever they Come back for it. So just when you thought it was over, like, no, we got more, we got more for you. Pablo Torrey's on part 12 of his investigation, right.

[Tas Melis]

And the new news, like you brought it up there, the soccer team in Rhode island, to give you just the. The Cole's notes on it around the time aspiration filed bankruptcy and Kawhi signed a submax extension with the Clippers. Kawhi and Uncle Dennis and Kawhi's now former agent, Mitch Frankel, they all invested in Rhode island fc, which is like a second tier USL soccer club in Pawtucket. Listen to what I'm saying right now. They did this by way of LLCs that broadly match the pattern of the aspiration. Sort of nonsense. And why we have that bit of a scandal going on now, none of it was announced publicly too. And so there's speculation. Right. The simplified version, I saw Zillow write this, and he just put it bluntly, is that Steve ballmer bailed out RIFC's stadium plan and it unlocked tens of millions in public bonds in exchange for ownership stakes in the club for Kawhi and his friends. At the same time, Ballmer signed Kawhi to a below max extension to preserve caps room for the Clippers as they chase the title contention. That's again from Ziller here. And that's the speculation that maybe what was going on with the Aspiration, again, allegedly, was maybe also going on here now on the other coast with a Rhode island soccer club.

So you're right. It makes it messier now. It's more in depth suddenly. You know, some people think this is a nothing burger as well, but there's a pattern. It feels like could be. It just depends how much, if at all, Ballmer and the Clippers are linked at all to this Rhode island thing. Yeah, it's weird.

[JD]

It's very weird. And it's especially weird considering we know there's the clause in the CBA that's like, if we're looking at it and it looks funky and there's no other explanation besides salary cap circumvention, we can say it's salary cap circumvention, but it feels like Silver doesn't want to use that clause. He wants to make sure he's got everything completely locked down. So I don't know. I'm kind of the opposite. I feel like the longer and longer it stretches, the less chance that Steve Ballmer gets any sort of punishment, because it would just be done already, like if. If this was David Stern, he'd be like three months. We're done. You're fined. You're suspended for a year. Steve Ballmer, you're suspended for 30 games. Kawhi Leonard, all taken care of before the start of the season. That is not the way Silver is operating.

Yeah. The fact to me. Why it feels like it's going to go longer. You get something here which is literally 10 months into this investigation. I'm saying 10 months. Like, I'm actually following the calendar, but it feels. Is it 10 months?

[Tas Melis]

Oh, yeah. At least.

So that comes through. And now. So it just. It feels like Adam Silver wants to have his hands clean and can't walk away from this if things keep getting uncovered, which sure feels like something is legitimate there. But as you said, Steve Ballmer will. And the Clippers will find that line in the CBA where you really have to prove it with something entirely legitimate. Something granular, some actual concrete evidence. Yeah, something. So here we are. Maybe it's not. Yeah, they're gonna play the. The. The gray zone, but we shall see. I don't know.

Do you think Lebron. Excuse me, Kawhi Leonard will be playing for the Raptors come opening night?

Man. What are we. We're in July.

Well, July's over. We're in August.

We got two. We got two and a half months, essentially, for this to be done. I don't think so. I don't think he'll be there, because I think there will be an actual arbitration that goes to someone beyond the law firm and outside of the league and the Clippers, and then there could be an appeal. So that's why it feels like it could take longer than October 17th.

I agree with you. And this is fucking crazy because this is going to. That hurts the Raptors again.

Again here with Kawhi. Because if we're saying, and I do agree, like, if it continues on and they don't want to, like, take on any sort of chances, the risk of him being penalized, Kawhi himself, and missing games and all that. Whatever. The Raptors, I'm talking about. Then now what? So now what? Brandon Ingram comes back. Grady Dickens, like, awkward and sort of like. And maybe they can fight through it and power through it, but sort of like ruins your season before it's even started. To me, it's tough not to tarnish it at least a little bit.

There's lakes not far from here, but, you know, not living on it. The water changes it, you know? You know, I'm talking to.

Off, off season. Just the good habits, you know, and then I throw them all away when the season's go starts again. But, you know, two months of 10 months or 12 months, getting to the gym and water. A cold plunge every day and then. Cold plunge.

Are you tracking weight loss or is this just now pure.

Just getting mind and body health. Good, good. And just doing stuff. Not necessarily weights. Sometimes it's just pickleball. And that's fine?

Just doing stuff. How long you getting in the cold plunger?

I do three minutes. I'm up three. Wow.

And that's where I broke out laughing. I didn't see that coming. Another question. Do you pee in the shower, Skeets?

If it's a bathtub type shower.

Somebody could be taking a bath. I find in that shower. I don't like that. Possible. If it's a stand up shower. 100p. I'm peeing in the shower. I've been peeing in the shower for years. So. Yes, but I just don't like it in a bathtub. I don't know, like one of those rare bathtub. You don't see them as much anymore.

So you have a, like you flash to somebody having to lie in your pee kind of thing, Like.

Yeah, a little bit. I just. I don't know, I just. It's the porcelain of it all. I don't know, Something weird about it to me. But a standup shower, Absolutely.
