Well, Blake and Baldoni are back in settlement talks. Is it gonna work this time? Probably not. Tommaso was spotted at Nancy Guthrie's home as Savannah made her triumphant return to the today show. And we got a mormon wives update. And we got just lots of tea we're gonna be spilling. Cause it's a Tuesday and we got all the tea on a Tuesday. Let's get it. This is no filter with Zack Peter your go to source for all the latest pop culture and reality tvt Serve fresh all week long. Now let's dive in and dive in we shall. What's up, Everybody in the club? What's going on? Happy? What's today? Tuesday. I literally just said that. How am I already tripping? You got me tripping. Stumbling grip been fumbling clumsy? Cause I'm falling in love in, in love so in love with you? Oh, my goodness. It has been a stressful week so far. So please send me all the l, o v e, all the lurve in the club so that I don't rip somebody's head off because I am ready to rip some heads off. Just send me good juju and prayers today. It's all I need right now. Good juju, good prayers, just like all the goodness. Oh, I didn't put my ring on today. Okay, so, my. Well, I mean, I guess we're better off than Blake is, right? What should we. Oh, wait. I did want to start with this, because I've been waiting for the devil wears two or, sorry, the devil wears prada two to come out, and it's been, like, the longest press tour ever, and they're, like, doing heavy press right now, and I'm just like, oh, my God. They're having premieres. They're doing this, they're doing that. And then the movie doesn't come out for another month. We still have a whole month. May 1 is when it comes out. But since they are on this press tour to hype up and promote this movie, this came out today. It's the new cover of Vogue, and, I mean, this is a bit iconic. You have Anna Wintour, and you have Meryl Streep, and Meryl Streep's character, Miranda priestly is based on Anna Wintour, and vogue is. Is in the movie in Devil Wears Prada 2, or I guess the original Devil wears prada. So the movie is based off of the book, which is about Anna Wintour, and instead of it being about vogue, it's about Runway. Runway is the name of the magazine in the movie. And so Miranda Priestley runs Runway. Anna Wintour, in real life, runs Vogue. And so now we have Anna Wintour and Meryl Streep together on the COVID of Vogue, baby. Vogue. Vogue. Vogue. So very. Yeah, look at. Elle says. Yes. Queen Soleil it. Right. She looks so like, it just. And they're doing all sorts. Yeah, the red outfit is amazing. They're doing all sorts of, like, skits together. They did a cute skit that was on the Vogue Instagram this morning, which shows them, like, running into each other and being like, where do I know you from? I don't know. Where do I know you from? I don't know. And they're like, you know, giving that scoldering look towards each. And then they get in an elevator together, and they're just, like, you know, on the phone, trying to, like, make business happen. And then by the end of it, they look at each other, and they're like, nice shoes. And she's like, I like your boots. And then they walk away from each other. It's great. I mean, it just. The red. Red is such a power color. And the way that it did it, I was like, debbie says, I liked the Devil Wears Prada, but I didn't like her boyfriend. I think you're referring to Adrian. What's his name? Adrian Grenier. Is that how you pronounce it? Grineer. He played Anne Hathaway's boyfriend in the first movie. He played Andy. Andy's Anne Hathaway's character. Andrea. Andrea. Andrea. Andy's boyfriend? Yeah. Andrea's boyfriend is who he played. And he. I think he just came out, and he was like, I'm so sad that, like, I'm not in the new movie. Like, I can't believe they didn't put me in the new movie. And I was like, nobody liked you, so why would they put you in the new movie? Nobody wants to see you. Okay, Sorry. Nobody likes you. Emily Blunt. Oh, my God. Emily Blunt is so good. She's probably. Okay. So from what we've seen from the trailer so far, I like OG Miranda. I like Miranda Priestly and Devil Wears Prada. I'm not loving the new. I'm not loving the new Miranda, if I'm being honest. Tbh. I don't know. She just seems a little aloof. But apparently, it looks like runways and scandal, they need help. They need to be saved. They're also trying to just stay alive in the era of digital media. And then Anne Hathaway's character comes back, and she's like, I'm here to help save your business. And she's just like, who are you? And Anne's like, I'm here to work for you again. And then Emily Blunt is. And Emily Blunt, probably my favorite of the three of them. She just, you know, she's just. She's serving cunt. She's serving CU next Tuesday. She's just here to bring it. And she brings it, baby. Brings it. I'm loving it. Zach in the house. Yes, Charlene I is here. I never got the Adrian hate from the original. Well, because he wasn't, like, a good, supportive boyfriend. He was just, like, always annoyed with her, and he wanted her to give up her dreams. Although, to be fair, actually, you know what? Let's go down that rabbit hole. Why not? Right? So. So I get it. He. Nobody liked him because he was unsupportive of Andy doing Runway. But, like, it's because he always wanted her to pursue her real endeavors, her journalistic integrity. Not Runway, which is a fashion magazine. And she was getting so caught up in the clothes and having to work for Miranda. So was he really the bad guy? Cause, like, what, he wanted his girlfriend to be present? He wanted his girlfriend to not work for a monster. He wanted his girlfriend to stick to her journalistic integrity and not. Not work at Runway. Maybe he wasn't the villain. That's actually a really good point. Who said that? That's actually. Yes, but he was a jerk about it. Well, she, like, she was a jerk about it, too, when you think about it. Katie of Arc says Andy was terrible, was a terrible girlfriend. At the same time, she completely changed her entire life and was ruining the relationship. Exactly. You know, Andy exact period. Andy, like, they had a good relationship. They had a good rhythm. They had a good thing going. And the next thing you know, Adrian Greiner comes into the picture, and he's just like, hey, you're ruining our relationship. You're dating your boss. Like, he actually was not in the wrong when you think about it. Like, maybe he was a jerk. But, like, that didn't mean she wasn't a jerk either. She kept blowing him off. She wasn't even going to come for his birthday party. Remember, AMC says Andy was kind of a villain. Right. Like, when we look back at that. And I get it, because we're all coochie power, right? We're like, love to the women. And listen, not that I don't have any love to the women. I believe, you know, we need women. I'm not trying to eradicate women. Real women but, like, you know, it just. I think she actually was kind of the issue in that relationship. Andy was horrible. Thank you. She also flirted with the designer guy. That's right, Libby. And she cheated on him. Didn't she sleep with the designer guy? Yeah, she totally slept with the designer guy. She didn't just flirt with him. I thought they slept together. Because, remember, there's the scene of them in the hotel, and she wakes up in the hotel, and he comes out of the bathroom, and his in his towel. Andy abandoned all of her friends, too. Right? Reprimanda says we got bitch blinders on. Exactly. You know, I'm rethinking the plot. I cannot wait to see Emily Blunt. Yeah, Emily Blunt was a monster. And she, like, maintained her character of a monster in that movie. And I respect it. Right? Like, she's like, I'm a monster. She's not like Andy, because Andy's like, oh, I'm so innocent. I'm just a good girl. And it's like, no, you're not, Andrea. You're not just a good girl. You're actually not very nice to your friends, to your boyfriend. I thought he was hot. Which one? Adrian? Yeah, he was hot. The boyfriend? Yeah. Ms. Quishy. Ms. Quishy says, I think she was over his stuff, you know? What stuff? I don't know. Emily played the long game with that job. Good for her, right? And then. Hold on. But not only that, but then Andy goes, blows up her relationship, blows up her friendships, you know, gives up up her entire life, only to not even stay at Runway. Because then she leaves, because suddenly she's like, you know what? I don't need this. And then she throws her phone into the water. And then she got rid of all the clothes. She didn't even keep the clothes. You know what? Andy's the real villain. My mind is now convinced that, like, we're Anne Hathaway's character, Andy the villain, you know? Oh. Andy came in and took Emily's dream job when she didn't want it and mocked it. Exactly. Now we're pulling up all of Andy's receipts, all Andrea's receipts. We're putting them all on the table. But then gives Emily her clothes. Okay, well, fine. So there was a little moment of redemption, but, like, at least keep the clothes. She was a funny monster. Andy was too serious. I agree. Yes. Andy is so the real villain. You guys were, like, rethinking everything. Laurie, the story ambassador of fun, says I'm now viewing this movie in a completely different light. Exact Missy. Miss Squishy. Miss Squishy says, hi, mods. Keeping the digital violence to a minimum, Please keep the digital violence to a minimum. I mean, that's wild. So I was on Juicy Scoop this week, in case you guys want to tune into that. I was on Billy Bush yesterday, and I was on. I taped Juicy Scoop yesterday, but it came out today. So if you want to watch and go check it out, I thought it was a fun one. Me and Heather get into Nancy Guthrie. Me and Heather get into Blake Lively. We get into Housewives. We get everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything. So juicy Scoop was so good, right? Wasn't it? It was like. It was juicy. We had. We were given some hot takes. I liked her boyfriend in that movie. Okay, well, that's a hot take. Okay. I don't know if I would say we like the boyfriend. I'm just saying maybe the boyfriend had a point, But I'm not saying we like him, right? She doesn't want to film, right. But she wants to stay with the secret lives Mormon wives. Have you seen that TikTok where there's the scene from the Secret lives of Mormon Wives and Jordan, He's. He's talking about Demi and how she went to Dancing with the Stars. He's like, she doesn't want to film, right? But then she goes to Dancing with the Stars and sits with the secret lives of Mormon wives, but she doesn't want to film with her dress on like it was. It's so camp, the way he, like, delivers it. Like such a queen. You go, jordan, like, what? What a diva delivered those lines. And so now everyone's reenacting it on TikTok if you haven't seen it. But you might also not have. Have been. You might not have also been in the loop. Janet says your TikTok was fabulous yesterday with the intrusive thoughts. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Should we play my intrusive thoughts? That was. That was a fun time. And then we'll get into Nancy, and then we'll get into Blake. But I just. We had to have a moment of silence for. Or not a moment of silence. A moment of appreciation for the Devil wears Prada and this new reflection that we have. Okay, here, I'll play you the video from yesterday because it was actually. What a time. And the intrusive thoughts. 1. And I've been thinking about it, right? Because sheriff Nanis is telling us that Nancy Guthrie is still alive out there, and Savannah wants. Savannah Guthrie wants us to believe that her mother. That the old Lady Snatcher is gonna, you know, come to his bearings and suddenly, like, have a change of heart, and he's gonna realize, like, what he's doing is wrong and he's gonna return Nancy. So we're assuming that Nancy's alive. So that's assuming that she's in a bunker somewhere. She's in a basement. She's sitting there. Could you imagine Nancy Guthrie right now sitting in a bunker in a basement? And then she's watching one, this investigation, but two, then she's also watching Savannah come back to the Today show with a full on parade. It's basically a parade, right? They're cheering, they have signs like, yeah, we love Nancy. We love Savannah, whatever. Like, could you imagine Nancy sitting in the basement of the old lady snatcher and she's waiting to be rescued. They're not paying any of the ransom note. Like, TMZ keeps getting ransom notes. To this day, TMZ keeps getting ransom notes and that none of them are getting paid. And. And Nancy's just sitting in the basement being like, none of these damn letters are being paid. And then now Savannah's out here and she's doing a parade. Coming back to the Today show, Like, how would you feel if you were Nancy right now? Like, just, you know, let's have some empathy and let's think about, like, what Nancy is feeling in the basement right now watching Savannah get this full on parade coming back to the Today show because again, that's the narrative that Nanos and Spanna want us to. To go with. I poor Nancy. Somebody go save Nancy from the basement right now. Like, I'm ready to go get Nancy out of the basement and put her out of the misery of having to see her daughter relish in the glory of her return to the Today Show 64 days after she went missing. See, I mean, I thought that was an excellent point. Poor Nance. She's sitting in the damn basement being like, you. You put my ass in the Ross clearance bin at the back of the store. And this dude, like, he's lowered his. His asking price down to half a bitcoin. What was it? It was like 6 million. And now we've. We've dropped it all the way down to 20,000. They still don't want to pay it. It's like they don't want to find the lady. I'm just like, I don't even understand. But instead we're going to be doing. Baby, you're a fan. You were like, they were throwing panties up there as Savannah was coming out. They were fireworks. It was like, you know, it was crazy. It was crazy. In the world of darkness there, B. Zach. Need your sense of humor. Thank you. Thank you. You know, savings crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy. They lowered it to continue to submit three requests to tmz. Am I missing something? Yeah, they lowered it, and they keep sending the request to tmz. Like, none of it makes any sense. None of it makes any sense to a T shirt cannon. And not even with Nancy's face on the T shirts. It's Savannah's face. Joy cometh in the morning. Buy one, get one free rack. I know. They're like, listen, we'll give you somebody else's mama, too. Like, can you come get your mother? At this point, the old lady snatcher is like, all right. Just like, come get her. Like, come get her right now. Like, I. I've had enough. I saw her tweets on Facebook and, like, I've had enough. We're almost back to a stimulus check. At this point, I think he'll settle for a stimulus check. Like, he's. And remember when he was writing the emails to sheriff Harvey, and he's just like, you're not taking me seriously. Oh, my God, what a time. Oh, but. So here's the latest update with Nancy Benet Ramsey. Tommaso has decided he's gonna check out the. He's gonna check out, I don't know, his future home. I don't know if he's getting ready to move in. But Mark the shark on X went and he. He showed us. Look at Tommaso. Look. He looks angry. He's like, damn it. How are we gonna keep this body hidden? He looks very angry. Obviously, that's a joke. I'm not trying to incriminate anybody or defame anybody. It's not my intention, obviously, but. Oh, sorry. This came from JLR Investigates, but Mark the shark shared a on X. And we see Tommaso. Look at that. He walks like Donna Kelsey. Someone put Tommy's video to music today. Step by step. Oh, man. So I don't. I don't know what he's doing there. But then I was talking with Heather McDonald about it. I was like, oh. Because everybody's like, well, they can't get the. They can't get her money. They can't get. Get. You know, like, the motivate. If she's missing, then they can't take anything from her estate until they find her. But then I was thinking about it, and I was like, oh, but if Annie and Tommy because that's what we're rebranding them to, Tommy. If Annie and Tommy move into Nancy's house, then Annie and Tommy can sell their house, liquidate those assets, and then they have a house to move into that I'm assuming is already paid off. So it's not like they have a mortgage or anything. Then they can take live off the money from the sale of the house. Like there are motivations here, Right? So there would be potential motive. Right. So the fact that we're still looking at this as a kidnapping and not even a potential homicide, it's just. It's kind of crazy, right? It's a little crazy. Wouldn't it be crazy if Tommaso found Nancy? I mean, that would be. That would definitely. He found her alive. Could you imagine Nancy just like, hi, guys, what's up, everybody? And then they have like a Jenna. What is it? Jennifer Hudson? Is that. Is she the one. That's the talk show, right? Where they're walking down the hall and then everybody's cheering and singing and then they're like dancing in the hall, going out to the show, which, by the way, when you think about it, there are never any clips of the actual show. It's just people dancing in the hallway. Which tells you how great that talk show is. If we never see viral clips of the actual show, we just see them dancing. But could you imagine if Nancy comes out the Jennifer Hudson show, and she's like, hey, hey, hey, hey. And then everyone's clapping and cheering and dancing and letting her come out for her big return, just like Savannah did. And then Savannah's seething in the corner. She's like, oh, my comeback wasn't this good. Oh, Jennifer Hudson's show got canceled. Didn't even hear about it. If, in order to get the life insurance money, you would need a body, it would not be crazy that she gets found real quick. Possibly, but we don't know. Yeah, she comes back. I'm back from the cruise, remember? She's like, I was on a digital detox, you guys. Could you imagine if this whole time she was like, I just need a 90 day spa retreat. I need to do Eat, Pray, love digital detox. So she doesn't even know that she's missing. Like, she's just, you know, living her life. Zach, Savannah and Harvey used to work together at Court tv. She was there before going on to the Today show. She also worked with Nancy Grace. I know she worked with Nancy Grace. I didn't realize she worked with Harvey Levin as well. Harvey Needs to just pay the damn $20,000 to the old lady snatcher and find the body at this point. And then Harvey, then he can be like, found the body. And then he can collect the 1 million Nancy for dancing with the Stars. But Savannah told Hoda that on a good day, she can walk to the mailbox. On a good day. That's a good day. But yet she's over here ubering by herself everywhere. And nobody has to walk her into the house after dinner at 10 o' clock at night. Like, okay, maybe Nancy is playing the kidnap game. Oh, yeah, from date night. And she is just really competitive from that night. I. Maybe she's like, you're never gonna find me now. Digital detox. Yeah, it's good for your mental health. You need a digital because of all the digital violence. Nancy's like, I'm on a digital detox because Blake Lively warned me about digital warfare. And I just need to cleanse my chakras. So I'm not gonna look at any of the digital warfare online. I'm not gonna be a victim of digital violence. Can't they just pay the ransom and see where it leads and if nowhere, then make an arrest? You would think Copper Mountain, like, that sounds like a really great idea. It sounds like a logical idea, right? If. If they've lowered the price down to 20,000 at this point, what is it worth losing $20,000? And if the lead checks out, great, the lead checked out. And if it doesn't check out, well, then we only it was just, you know, 20,000. I'm gonna lose my mind. Okay, well, I don't know about you, but when I'm feeling a little sluggish, I like to get me some drip drop. Like when I hit it with that lip gloss. Yes. So listen. Because if you didn't use the promo code, then I'm really disappointed in you. Okay, let's talk. So Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni went back into settlement negotiations, and guess what? They didn't reach anything. But there was a new report that I found kind of funny. It's in Star magazine, so take it with a grain of salt. But it says that Blake Lively's loved ones are reportedly begging her to settle this lawsuit before trial because it's taking a toll, which was. I mean, I think it would actually make sense. So I guess they have. It says in Monday, April 6th edition of Shooters, Rob Shooter, he. I guess he has a substack called Naughty but Nice. And he's claiming that a source in his Naughty by Night, Naughty but Nice substack. Am I naughty but Nice, or am I just naughty? So he's claiming to have a source that says that people around Blake are begging her to settle, especially after Judge lyman threw out 10 of her 13 claims. They think that enough damage has already been done. You think this will affect everything. Their image, their careers, their relationships. It's not contained anymore. The source explains the longer this drags on, the worse it gets. Reputation wise, professionally, it's taking a toll. That it is. And so she's refusing to settle with Beldoni. I believe it was yesterday that they were. They had a conversation to settle. But it doesn't think. I don't think he's gonna settle with her. And I just. I think she can't settle. Like, she has to go to trial because that's the only way she has any sense of vindication, validation. I think she looks stupid if she settles like, her whole, rah, rah, I'm fighting for the children of the world. And then suddenly, what, the children of the world don't matter now that you're good? But they tried. They updated their settlement options. Didn't go well. According to Deadline, and Deadline's been very pro Blake, and they, for some reason, keep reporting that Blake Lively's defamation claim is moving forward to trial, which is not true. Sure. You can say that retaliation could have potentially damaged her reputation. And if you consider that defamation, okay, fine. But that's more. That's not a legal claim. That's more of a definition that you're putting on the claim of retaliation. But the defamation claim was tossed out by the judge, so let's be clear about that. So it's just weird that Deadline keeps saying that in all of their reports, they're really the only publication that continues to maintain that defamation is still part of her lawsuit, which is, yes, technically, in the retaliation claim, it says that her reputation was damaged. So, yes, you can consider that defamation, but it's not a legal grounds for suing somebody for defamation because, again, that claim was dismissed. Go to People if you want to see live coverage about Taylor Frankie Paul's court case. I will. We'll get to Taylor Frankie Paul in a bit. I know that there was a court hearing today, so I wanted to save that for the end. Blake Lively's Internet friends are as delulu as she is. Truly, you cannot rename something to sound better freakin de. That's my opinion on it. That's my position on it. It's like, you can't just be like, oh, well, we want to call it defamation, because that sounds better when it's like. But no, she actually had a claim where she was accusing them of defamation. That claim got tossed out. So, you know, have I watched the new Unwell reality show? No, I haven't yet. I know it's on YouTube. I believe it's four episodes, and they're releasing daily. I saw that it came out yesterday, but I have not watched it yet now. So I did also want to play this clip because, you know. You know, I love when people want to come for my neck. And I said that I was going to play it on the show yesterday, and I didn't. And then I said I would play it on the show today. So I'm going to play it on the show for you today. But There was this YouTube channel that wanted to, like, talk some smack about me. Oh, by the way, did you guys know that yesterday was asexual awareness day? So if you're asexual, you had a day of awareness, which, you know, I just. I love that all the asexual people have representation, because we don't want to erase them. Right. We need visibility. I think it was asexual visibility day or something like that. I was like, oh, what a time. Okay, here I'm going to play here. I'm going to pull up this clip. That way we can watch it together and we can respond live. Because I'm probably going to get a little activated. I'm just warning you right now. So if you want me to get activated, hit the like button right now. Okay. Hit that like button. Okay. So they're playing, it looks like my TikTok video, which was minutes after news had broken that Blake Lively, his case had been gutted by the judge. Okay, so let's see what they have to say about me.
Heather McDonald
So let's see how he responds to this.
Zach Peter
Right. Blake Lively just lost. This is not a drill. This just happened. Judge Lyman just ruled, and he completely threw out her sexual harassment claims. He gutted her case ahead of next month's trial. There's a hearing that's happening today as well. Right before the hearing, Lyman placed This on the docket. He has gutted all of her claims except for three. But most importantly, he has completely thrown out the sexual harassment claims. And he says that there's basically no. Her claims don't meet the evidence for.
Heather McDonald
That's just. That's an outright lie. That part is a complete lie.
Unidentified Guest
And this is. I had a feeling. And what I suspect, because I don't want to necessarily accuse.
Zach Peter
Why?
Heather McDonald
What's wrong with these people? Why would you lie to this?
Zach Peter
Because unfortunately, that's like social media. Like this guy doesn't necessarily know the law.
Unidentified Guest
That's what I was going to say.
Zach Peter
No, no, no, I agree with you.
Heather McDonald
No, if you read the judge's opinion,
Zach Peter
he probably didn't read the whole thing.
Unidentified Guest
Yeah.
Zach Peter
The point, face, is if you read the agreement, Judge Lyman does go through each of her claims and gives his professional opinion. Okay. So he actually does show that each of the individual claims does not. See, I'm gonna. Okay, let's try to breathe. Okay? Because he's trying. He went. We went through this and I show. I pulled direct quotes because he wrote a 152 page response. And also I will give them some brownie points by saying this. My video was published within minutes of that news breaking. So at that point, I had not read the full 152 page breakdown from Judge Lyman. Okay. To be fair, so I maybe I misspoke on a thing or two, but I don't think there's anything that I said that was a flat out lie. And I'm not doing this just in defense of Justin Baldoni or just to trash Blake Lively. I've covered this case extensively for 18 months. I've read through more court documents than I'm sure any of these bozos combined. Okay. I've been on the phone with attorneys, I've talked to media professionals, I've talked to. To entertainment HR professionals. I've covered this since day one. Okay. And after that video was published, there were other videos that were published that gave more details and more context to the actual ruling. But I understand how the words that I said may have given you the impression that there wasn't enough evidence to move forward with her sexual harassment claims. But that's not a flat out lie either. Because if there was evidence that sexual harassment took place. Here's the difference between Blake Lively and Justin Baldonis dismissals. Justin Baldoni's dismissal happened before there was any discovery. So before any of the evidence was formally brought before the court, Justin Baldoni's case was tossed out. So it was tossed out, in my opinion, prematurely. But it was a. The judge did define that she had these legal protections. She had the litigation privilege. She had the Me too protections in California, and the New York Times had their press privileges. So there were reasons as to why Justin Baldoni's case got tossed out just on the technicality. But there's validity to people that say that the evidence could have supported that. Maybe she wasn't being honest with her claims against him. Now, that still has to be brought forth, and you really have to. When it comes to defamation, you have to then prove malice as well. But when it comes to Blake Lively, her evidence was presented. The judge did see it, and it was used to support the motion for summary judgment. It was used to support. Support his motion to have her case dismissed. And shockingly, he dismissed most of her claims. Okay. And the big key piece, because the Blake bots like to say two key things. One, that it was a jurisdiction issue, and two, that it was because she wasn't an employee. She was determined to be an independent contractor. Let's also clarify. She was determined to be an independent contractor, not an employee, by her own doing. And her PGA letter was the biggest thing that came back to bite her in the butt. Okay, so. And the judge did say that the claims that she brought forth did not meet the bar of sexual harassment. Collectively, possibly. Right. If you put them all together, you would have to put that before a jury, and then a jury would have to make that determination or that decision. But based off of what was available and even some of it, there were timing issues. Right? Like the. When she accused him of describing his genitalia to her, and the judge is clear about that as well. That happened before she was even working on the film. That happened before production. That happened when Baldoni was not technically her boss, but even with him being her boss, her PGA letter, which is the Producers Guild association, because she wanted that PGA credit on the film to say that she was a majority producer on this film that came back to bite her. Because an employee and even a meek independent contractor doesn't have that level of control. When you're trying to paint this narrative that there's this persistent harassment that's taking place. Heather says, zach, you did nothing wrong. You invested a lot of time into this. You know what you're saying and doing. You have no idea. They have no idea. Calm down, honey. Thank you. Thank you, Heather. It's just like, I've covered this case extensively. I've read more fucking court documents than I ever thought That I would. I've talked to many different experts, even people that disagree with me, and I really wanted to understand their framework and I wanted to understand why they viewed this case differently. And it really comes down to, like, they just see things very differently. Right. Whereas to me, I'm just like, it seems like she doesn't have a strong case and it seems like these are weak allegations that she's trying to lump together and hoping that if we put all the pieces together, it'll be enough to serve a whole pie. But it's like you. You have a bunch of loose ingredients, but you don't have all of the ingredients and an efficient enough recipe to build this pie. Let's continue. That's where I'm going.
Unidentified Guest
Or if he did again, he, he. What he is probably being shared around is that first part.
Zach Peter
Right? Which to be fair, and to their credit, that is true. I did not read the full 152 brief at the point that this video was posted, but since then there's been a number of content and full podcast episodes where this has been doven into deeper.
Unidentified Guest
Which when you heard that first part, you were like, oh, wow, that was really bad for Blake.
Zach Peter
Yeah, yeah, it is really bad for Blake. She had a whole lawsuit with 13 claims, 10 of which got dismissed. Regardless of why they were dismissed. Because that's what we're. We're going to pick things apart and work into the game of semantics and say that, oh, it's a jurisdiction issue. When it's like, well, but okay, fine. Even if you want to say the jurisdiction issue, it's a state. Think more with mj. I was like, it was a state, state line that caused this issue, but it was a state line that Blake Lively was fighting for. Like, her legal team set this all up to play out the way that it had played out. Because here's the other thing that I will say. I don't remember if I said this on Juicy Scoop or not, but people are saying that Blake Lively's attorneys are idiots and that they failed her. I actually disagree. I think they did the best that they could with the scraps that she gave them. They tried to turn that into an eight course meal based off of, you know, the leftover KFC bones with not a whole lot of meat left on them that she gave them to work with. And they did their best. They jumped through every legal loophole. That's when people were like, why would they file this in California if it didn't? How did they not know that the California law Might not apply in New Jersey and New York, but they tried, right? They were like, well, Wayfair is a California company. That's why we're trying to bring this over in California, because there should be California protections in place. But obviously it was stupid of them to even do that. But they didn't have a lot to go off of, so they had to play all these little games that got them a lot of little wins early on. But now we're seeing that all those little wins and loopholes that they were jumping through aren't really holding the whole. The foundation wasn't strong, so the House is starting to come crumbling down because all those little loopholes that they were trying to get their easy wins with early on and then go feed it to the press, allegedly, that, you know, they were winning in court. Now we're all seeing that come to a head. She was fighting for California law. She wanted California law to apply. And in this case, it didn't work out in her favor, and her legal team knew that. But they did everything that they could to try and listen to their client, you know, So I don't think that they were bad. I think that they were actually very smart and did everything that they possibly could to help her get as far as she possibly could. Probably not thinking that she would even take the this far. But let's continue to see what these bozos have to say.
Unidentified Guest
Suspect, that's probably all he's seen.
Zach Peter
And then.
Heather McDonald
Yeah, I don't know.
Zach Peter
All you need is to just be a little confident in yourself. I'm very confident in myself, ma'. Am. Very confident in myself. My name is Zach. Peter. Mr. Zachary Peter. Write it down. Z A C H A R Y P E T E R. Flex that on, period. It's a name you don't want to forget. I'm very confident because I don't speak about things with confidence that I am not confident speaking on and have good presence in front of the camera, and then I have great heat. People just listen to you.
Heather McDonald
This is like a club. This guy's. He has a financial interest in just continuing this dumb fucking.
Zach Peter
I have a financial interest. I can't wait for this fucking case to be over with. Okay? I don't have a financial interest in this case specifically because guess what? I've had a podcast. I. For 11 years. I've kept it alive successfully for 11 years. That was before Blake Lively decided to embarrass herself in front of the entire world. Don't ever say that. I make my money off of Blake Lively and that I have a financial interest in trying to just make money off of Blake Lively's coattails or off of the sweat off of her back. Thank you very much. Okay. My name is Zach Peter. I am relevant. My show is a top show on the podcast charts. My socials are killing it and have been well beyond just the Blake Lively story. Thank you very much, sir. But please continue to use my content for your social engagement story.
Heather McDonald
They wo.
Zach Peter
There's basically no. Her claims don't meet the evidence for sexual harassment, which is a huge win for Justin Baloni now.
Heather McDonald
But, no, nobody even said that. Like, that's just an. That's like, a total lie.
Zach Peter
Well, it's. It is not a total lie because it hasn't actually been proven. So technically, it's not a lie. It has not been. Her claims of sexual harassment have not been proven and now never will be proven because it's no longer part of her case. So it's not a lie.
Unidentified Guest
I feel like if you just saw that first part, that would be your right.
Zach Peter
When you just read us the first part, I thought, like, right, which is exactly what happened. If you look at the timestamps, this was less. This was minutes after the news had broke. I tried to digest as much of it as I possibly could, put that out there, and have since made several other pieces of content further breaking this down. But also, what I said isn't technically inaccurate because we haven't actually seen that materialized. Oh, this is really bad for her. It is really bad. He.
Unidentified Guest
That's. He did gut that one. I would say, like, he was like this.
Zach Peter
He gutted 10 of her 13 claims, not just that one. 10 of her 13 claims, including defamation, including toxic work environment. 10.
Unidentified Guest
Okay, this one's silly.
Heather McDonald
Well, actually, not really, though, because he was like. He's, like, alone. That's what it. That's what I would say. But in the con. The context of everything else.
Unidentified Guest
Yeah, it was the very next.
Zach Peter
Yeah, that's how the context and everything else is not something that. That he would be able to make a determination on. Okay. The context of everything else would be something a jury would have to decide, but individually, no, they don't rise to the level of sexual harassment. They just don't. Maybe that's my matter of opinion, but the judge kind of seems to agree with me, and I trust his professional opinion. However, he wasn't able to make a clear determination because that was a decision that a jury would need to make. However, the. It can't move forward because of these other issues that are also part of what she filed in her lawsuit, like this jurisdiction issue or like the PGA letter after that. Only if you continue reading.
Unidentified Guest
Right.
Zach Peter
Will likely try to appeal this ahead of next month's trial. But this is a huge victory for Baldoni. Now, the clay. There are three claims that he is allowing Blake Lively to move forward with, and those are in mostly in relation to the retaliation claims. Remember, she said that there was a smear campaign against her. She has yet to prove the smear campaign.
Heather McDonald
That one he seems dead to rights on, based on, like, the released messages we've seen between Baldoni and his, like, PR people.
Unidentified Guest
And.
Zach Peter
And.
Unidentified Guest
And I guess let's. Because I, you know, I think people rightfully hear that and, like, yeah, it's dirty, but that's just pr.
Heather McDonald
That's nice.
Zach Peter
That shit was nasty. I would like you to actually read me all of the nasty text messages that Justin Baldoni and his team wrote. I would really like to know, because I can't name a single nasty message that they wrote about Blake Lively. Which one was so nasty? You know which one I think is nasty? The text messages between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift where they're actually calling Justin Baldoni names, calling him a clown, calling him a doofus director, laughing about how Taylor Swift lied to him, Blake cackling to Ryan Reynolds, and then relaying that information back to Taylor Swift. That's fucking nasty. Okay, we have very different definitions of nasty, but please show me which nasty text messages Justin Baldoni's team put out there about Blake Lively. Are they cackling about some lawsuits? Sure. But you know what were more nasty messages about Blake Lively? Where? The emails from the Sony executives where they call her a fucking terrorist. Those are nasty. And those didn't even come from Baldoni or his team. They came from Sony. The people that were having to deal with her on the set of. It ends with us calling her. That's nasty. Calling her a terrorist, saying that she did this to herself. Those are nasty. Okay? Beldoni's team, sure, they were annoyed with Blake Lively, and yes, they were sharing some of the headlines about her, but none of that was inaccurate. And that's what they're going to have to prove in this retaliation is did they. Did they actually plant false stories? Because that's the. The argument that Blake Lively's team is trying to make is that they planted negative or false stories, but yet where are the negative and false stories? So they want to sit there and act like what Baldoni did was so terrible. But yet, Blake Lively's own behavior, I guess what she gets, she just gets an easy pass.
Unidentified Guest
Well, it could be nasty, but it isn't necessarily illegal.
Zach Peter
That, too. And also, please define nasty. And please show me which of the messages you feel are so nasty, at least in comparison to Blake's own text messages. And in comparison to the text messages of people that were not part of this retaliation. The Sony executives that had nasty things to say about Blake Lively, those are nasty. To call her a terrorist.
Unidentified Guest
Except for the fact that he signed a contract saying that he wouldn't do that.
Heather McDonald
No.
Zach Peter
Well, he signed an agreement because she was holding production hostage. Because, remember, they're like, well, context, context, context. Then let's add the context to this conversation again. I've been studying this case for 18 months. Okay? I am Aaron Brockovich up in this bitch right now. So that.
Heather McDonald
No, that's. Isn't that a. If somebody make.
Zach Peter
Oh, the contract is what he said. So the agreement. Okay, because remember, the claim that's moving forward is breach of implied covenant. Implied covenant. And there is a breach of contract. Yes. Claim that is moving forward. Okay, but this is in relation to the 17 point list of demands that she made. She stopped production, Halted it. And listen, we've heard about her reputation before. She's been a diva. We know that she's pulled shit like this in the past. And so she said, I have a list of demands. This is what needs to be met before I go back on the set. They said they. We read their text messages because we're talking about the nasty text messages. Well, we read all of the text messages in response to that meeting. We saw that there were executives in that meeting that felt like Ryan Reynolds berating Justin Baldoni was highly inappropriate and regretted not stepping in. We've seen that. Right? Because we want to go through all the nasty text messages. So that 17 point list. They did agree it. They do. They did agree to that, right? They said, okay, this behavior will not continue on set of events with us. Okay. Then at the end of production, she signed an agreement where she agreed that none of that behavior continued and that phase two of production was good. She claims that. Right. Which also contradicts her entire story. Right? Because none of the intimate scenes were filmed until phase two. But yet she already had acknowledged that phase two went smoothly. Her issues were with phase one and with this alleged fat shaming. Because all of a sudden, big back Blake Lively, you know, can't be lifted, and her trainer is like, oh, they're fat shaming you. Because you can't be lifted. Which, by the way, that sounds like a trainer problem. But yeah, so that, that's the, this cold, hard contract that they're sticking with. But even then, the retaliation happened after production. It wasn't part of production. So that's going to be another issue for a jury to really have to pick apart and determine, you know, a
Heather McDonald
complaint of sexual harassment in the workplace, you cannot retaliate against them.
Zach Peter
Correct. But there is no complaint of sexual harassment in the workplace. And if you have that, please show it to me because that's the smoking gun that we've all been waiting for. We have all been waiting for the formal HR complaint. You know what? We have at best some text messages to Jenny Slate. That's not a formal HR complaint. That's not anybody raising that as a formal HR complaint or any sort of real legitimate complaint at all. Blake Lively has been in the business for decades. She knows how this works. She knows how to file an HR complaint because she's done it before. Not only that, the call sheets have your HR contact on them and I may or may not have seen the call sheet from. It ends with us. And there may or may not actually be contacts listed on there that she could have reached out to. But even so, right, let's say, let's throw all of that out. She had a direct line of communication to the intimacy coordinator and she had a direct line of communication with. To the Sony executives, neither of which she used to report any sort of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. Nothing. Nothing. Even her 17 point list isn't necessarily her complaining, formally complaining about sexual harassment because there were no allegations of sexual harassment that she had brought at that point. And a lot of the. And they said that they were even confused by some of the wording in her agreement where she was like, no more of this, no more of that, no more of this. Which they were like, we don't know why she was saying no more of that because none of that behavior ever happened to begin with. Let's continue. But so yeah, that, that's the, the cold hard agreement is that 17 point list. That's the breach of contract which will have to be determined. Was that a legit contract? How long did those terms stand? Her agreeing that nothing, none of that behavior happened during the second phase of production, when she agreed to that, did that then complete that contract? All of these things that are factors to be considered, but even so, it is true, you cannot retaliate against somebody for bringing forward sexual harassment claims. But she never brought forth any sexual harassment claims. She had a number of things that she complained about, but they were not sexual harassment. Sexual harassment didn't come until months after the movie had wrapped. And then suddenly this new narrative starts getting put together.
Unidentified Guest
Right. I'm sorry. You don't need a subtext. Right, right. I just mean, in isolation, them seeding a story with influencers and doing, like, running a, quote, smear campaign or whatever, like, that's not against the law. It's nasty. But, you know, you can do that.
Heather McDonald
It is. You're right. It is against the law, though, if you're their employer, which he was to retaliate.
Zach Peter
Yeah, right. But you have to determine what retaliate means. That will be up for a jury to decide. You, sir, have an opinion of what you think retaliation means. And you, sir, the seem to have an opinion of what you think those text messages were because you called them nasty in that cadence. So that's something a jury's gonna have to decide is, is this retaliation or is this as they're claiming? Because Blake says that this is retaliation, but they're claiming that this was just their own defense. Right. And the judge says, like, boosting positive stories about your client, that's not bad. Even, you know, putting content or putting stories out there that shoots her credibility, that's not necessarily harassment either. But you're gonna have to put all these pieces together. Or. Sorry, retaliation either, but you're gonna have to put all these pieces together, package it before a jury, and then a jury's gonna have to determine three things in order for her case to stick. One, that there were formal complaints of HR that were made. Blake will have to prove that Angie Giannetti has already said that there were no formal HR complaints that were brought to her. There were grievances that her and, like, Jenny Slate had to. Had to air. But, like, what were the grievances? Oh, that Jenny Slate was bothered that Justin Baldoni would interact with fans while they were filming outside on the streets of New York or Jersey or wherever they were filming. And fans would come by because they liked the book and they wanted to actually. They wanted to actually engage with the actors. And Jenny Slade's like, oh, I was so uncomfortable about that because, like, I don't want. I hope there's not a pressure for me to have to interact with them too, because I'm a private person. Like, those are their grievances, and we're holding that to the same weight as sexual harassment. Okay. It's.
Heather McDonald
It's super Scummy. Ugh, I hate him.
Unidentified Guest
Yeah. I gotta give you your. We don't care.
Zach Peter
We don't care. Might explain a lot.
Unidentified Guest
Yeah, it might.
Heather McDonald
We did. Not now.
Zach Peter
Not now.
Unidentified Guest
You. I do have to give you your props, too. Once again, I saw somebody mention in the chat that was dj. Yeah. Yeah. That Ethan clocked this dude from the very first time we ever talked.
Heather McDonald
I took so much the balls for
Unidentified Guest
people for him saying he seemed like a scumbag.
Heather McDonald
I just don't understand why anyone.
Zach Peter
Where is he a scumbag? Where is the evidence that Justin Baldoni, first of all, scumbag is a matter of opinion. This subjective term, number one. But number two, where is the evidence that he is a scumbag? What has he done that is so scummy?
Heather McDonald
Still likes this guy. He's like.
Zach Peter
Because even if you want to talk about the retaliation, we have the messages where Baldoni and Heath, we know that they didn't want Melissa Nathan and Tag PR and Jed Wallace to activate the contingency plan because that's what they're circulating is there was a contingency plan, which again, the contingency plan wasn't a smear campaign. It was a let's redirect the narrative campaign that they presented to the Wayfarer parties. But there's no evidence that the Wayfarer parties activated any of those three options in the contingency plan. Right. There's no evidence that they did that, that they actually conducted them to move forward with one of those three options. And then if there's an alternative option, where is the evidence that that alternative option actually happened? Where they deliberately tried to smear Blake Lively, Especially if they didn't believe that her words were legit. If they were concerned that she was going to lodge false allegations or if, you know, they were get. I mean, and based off of her behavior and then putting them in the basement. Yeah, you're. You're afraid of what Blake Lively might do. You have Ryan Reynolds, who's threatening to go nuclear on them like such a douche. So he thinks that. He thinks that Beldonia is just such a douche. And he clocked it from day one when again, we still. We still don't know. Still don't have any evidence of him being a douche. The term predator. Yeah. The term predator that Ryan and Blake were throwing around like confetti is so disproportionate to anything they have said Justin did. It's wild. Yeah. Where's the harassment from Justin? Like, that's what I would like them to break down for me, too. Where is the actual sexual harassment based off? Not. Okay, let's just based off of her allegations alone. Where's. Where. Where's the. Where are the allegations? Exactly like what he. He was dancing with her in the montage, and. And then they were making out and she. What? She said he improvised an extra kiss. When we've seen her do that in the same exact filming for the movie. Like, it's crazy. It's so crazy. Everything about this is crazy. The judge even said it's not. If he did improvise kissing or he moved his hand down her back while they were filming together. First of all, we've seen how much power she's had on set. We've seen that she's halted production. So you're going to tell me what she just. She just took it that day. Oh, that day. She just. She didn't want to utilize her power when she utilized her power for every other little fucking thing on the set of this film. But, oh, he moved his hand down her back, and that's suddenly where she no longer has power. And we've seen the footage. But not only that, the judge himself, in his professional opinion, has already determined. He's like, it's not like there needs to be creative room. There needs to be creative space. Just like a comedy writer's room, right? There needs to be creative space where there aren't going to be harassment allegations that are going to come forward as a result of this. You have the space to creatively explore one of those being when you're two characters. And he even said, these are two actors that were in character. This wasn't Blake and Baldoni together. They are two actors that were in character at the time that these things were happening. Okay, I'm exhausted. Let's move on to Taylor Frankie Box. Apparently there. There are new allegations against her. She's filed a restraining order against Dakota or, sorry, a protective order against Dakota. Okay, so let's see. Taylor Frankie Paul files for protective order against ex boyfriend Dakota Mortenson. Mortenson previously filed a protective order against the Secret Lives of Mormon wives star. On March 19, Taylor Frank Paul filed a protective order against her ex boyfriend Paul. Okay, is that. That's. That's the update. According to an April 7 court filing obtained by People, the reality personality is seeking a protective order against Dakota, alleging that he has gotten. That he has had a pattern of abusive conduct and coercive control in their relationship. Oh, this is where I don't get this. Strong and independent woman argument. Right? Because you're just like, I'm. I'm powerful and I'm strong and I'm an independent woman. But then now, suddenly, he has coercive control over you because you're no longer an adult that makes your own decisions. You've known he's a douchebag. The world, your family, they've all told you he's a douchebag. Stop going back to him. And you kept going back to him, and now what? You no longer had free will because he's. He has coercive control. And they say abusive conduct. What is the abusive conduct? That's what I want to know. He previously filed a temporary protective order against her. It was granted. And he. He got temporary custody of their son. Ever? Yep. Oh, that's right after. Today's hearing is, I believe, when she's supposed to be allowed to see her baby again. Okay. So it says in Paul's April 7 filing, she detailed several alleged incidences during which he acted violently towards her. Okay, this is strong. The filing also includes screenshots of text messages and photos of bruises, which she claims were the results of altercations with Dakota. Interesting. Okay, this is now starting. And I said, we have to wait for the other shoe to drop. We have to wait for the other side to come out. Because if there's evidence, if she has actual evidence of him abusing her, that is strong and compelling. And now if we have photos and text messages and we see bruises, then that does. That is evidence of harm that was done on Dakota's end during one Incident. Incident on February 23rd. Paul claims that the. That the request that Mortensen assaulted her by slapping her head against the dashboard of his truck and striking her knee and elbow after driving Paul away from her home against her will, where her three children were sleeping inside. The filing also requested that ever be covered under the protective order. Oh, so she's now trying to get custody. Well, here's what's going to happen. If they continue to battle this out and they're filing for custody over the kids, I would assume the child would then have to be put in a third party, right? Until this gets resolved. Because if both parents are unfit and unstable, the courts will have to determine where the kid will have to be safely. Right. Paul previously was previously arrested for alleged domestic violence. In 2023, following an argument with Mortensen, Paul was given misdemeanor charges for assault, Criminal mischief. Yeah. She pleaded guilty in obeyance to aggravated assault, meaning that she complies with the condition of the plea, her charge will be lessened and potentially dismissed. The other charges were dismissed. They were dismissed because of her plea agreement, not because there was no evidence. Okay. It says that that's the most that they have. Allegations have been made on both sides. Well, this now makes sense as to why they decided to edit Dakota out of Secret Lives or, sorry, out of Vanderpump Villa, which now makes sense right now that we have what seems like stronger evidence against Dakota that he was also engaged in this behavior. That to me, I mean, now it kind of just seems like he said, she said, and it seems like they were abusive towards each other. But she does have a pattern of physical abuse in the past. That's what's the toughest is there is this pattern of abuse from her end in the past. Yeah. Okay, so we'll see. I. I don't know if today's hearing has happened yet or if these are just the filings ahead of the hearing. Let me do a refresh and see if anything new has come out aside from her filing for a protective order against him and saying that he also assaulted her. It feels like that's messy, and we're gonna have to see where this goes and who ends up getting out of this. Okay. Reza Farhan. He did in his new book, Memoirs of a Geisha. Maybe we'll get into the hookup a bit more tomorrow to keep you coming back for more, because I know we're already after the one hour mark, and Donna Bowling's gonna go live, so be sure to go and check out and listen to Donna Bowling daily dose of Donna. But Reza talks about hooking up with Bob Harper, and Bob Harper's dead X, which is crazy. Lots to get into, which I guess we can break into tomorrow. Oh, Debbie says throw that Zactivated screen up. We do. Yeah. We do have to throw. Yes, we did indeed get a little activated today. All right, guys, thank you for tuning in. Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting. Hit the like button. Hit the subscribe button. Do all the things. All the things. All the things. All the things. I love you. I appreciate you, and I hope you have a great rest of your day. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Ciao for now. Bye, guys.
