And if you have a question for Brian Friedman, I suggest you drop it in the comment section below. Okay? Drop it in the comment section below. Look at. Katie's already been a hater. Katie's like, Friedman's gonna be vague in his interviews because settlement agreements are confidential. There's no Katie. Why are you up in here being a hater, girlfriend? If you. If you cannot appreciate and show all the love in the curb, then the door is right there. You can. You can go to the exi. It exit. Okay? Because we are here. I've been mixed. I've been. I've been mixed. I've been torn between the news. Obviously, when the settlement news came in, Donna and I were planning our new podcast. Actually, I think I have the COVID of that new podcast, which we were so excited we were going to launch this. It was going to be to help get us ready for trial. It was going to be called Blake vs. Baldoni, the case that Broke Hollywood. And we were going to chronicle everything that has happened over the last two years from pre production, production, post production, the premiere, the smear campaign, the New York Times article, Baldoni's lawsuit, the dismissal of Baldoni's lawsuit, the depositions, the Taylor Swift, all of it. We were getting ready to announce this when the news came in that there was a settlement. And we were like, wait, what? And then we were reading this statement and we were like, wait, what? It was just. It was. It was crazy. We. We. I did not see it ending this way. I did not see it coming this way. So I don't know if we'll still do the podcast. I don't know if people are still going to be interested in the podcast now that we know how it ends. And it didn't end at trial. So I don't know. We'll see. We shall see. But, yeah, lots Lots that we're gonna be getting into. Obviously, there was the news of the stipulation that came out where Wayfair was basically saying, like, listen, now that, you know, sexual harassment has been tossed out, we don't really need to litigate this in front of the jury. So we're really just gonna go straight into the alleged retaliation and the contract disputes. I imagine the second that. That. Well, I don't know. I feel like a lot of attorneys are coming down. A lot of people are coming out and saying that they were always expecting Beldoni and Blake to settle at some point. I don't know. The depths of Blake's delusion had no bounds. So I kind of feel like I was expecting this to go to trial. There were so many times where I was like, well, but it's a risk. It's a gamble if you go to trial. Should they go to trial? Should they not go to trial? It was just like, you know, it was too much of a. Ah, I don't know. Um, so. But here, let's read the actual statement that. That was posted yesterday. Um, and this came on behalf of the attorneys, not on behalf of Blake or Baldoni personally or the parties personally. This was on behalf of their attorneys that have issued this statement. It says, the end product, the movie, it Ends with us, is a source of pride to all of us who work to bring it to life. Ra. Raising awareness and making meaning, making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors and all survivors is the goal we stand behind. We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognized concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserve to be heard. We. We remain firmly committed to workplace. To workplaces, free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online. So that's what they're saying. A lot of the Blake bots are already twisting themselves into a pretzel. Being like, well, look at. They said it right here. We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognized concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserve to be heard. And a lot of them are like, see, that's them basically owning up to the fact that, like, they were wrong and they harmed her. Yada, yada, yada. Not really. Like, sure, you can twist yourself in a pretzel to think that, but really what that says is, it's like when the Karen comes up and she's like, I want to speak to a manager, and I have all my grievances that I need to air. And they're just like, okay, thank you, ma', am, for expressing your concerns. There's a comment box over there. You can write it in a comment box and leave your concerns there, and we'll make sure someone gets back to you. That's basically HR talk that we're hearing. It's pr. HR talk. Yes. She had concerns, and they absolutely deserve to be heard. And we heard her like, Amber heard. We heard her. So, you know, that's. That's where we at. That's what we do. This would a do. Boo. The process presented challenges is code for Blake was the challenge. Well, we don't even need to assume that because Sony called her a terrorist. Sony said that her marketing tactics were epic level stupid. So it ain't looking so good. It ain't looking so good at all. Blake's trying to get an invite to Taylor Swift's wedding. I actually predict that we likely will see Blake at Taylor Swift's wedding. I. At this point, with the way she walked out and did her big. Her big Met Gala moment. So news dropped, and then literally hours. I mean, almost minutes later after the news started going all over the place, which, again, I was shocked when I saw it. And then I was even more shocked when our friend Molly and texts us that Blake Lively was at the Met Gala. And I was like, I'm sorry, what? The champion for women, the one person that is going to be, you know, defending everybody, saving all the children of the world against digital violence. Like, what? She's at the Met Gala, and it's now being reported that, according to TMZ and Page Six, multiple outlets have now reported that no money was exchanged in this settlement. So. So it's not like she was walking out. She. It doesn't seem she had to pay anything. He likely didn't have to pay anything or I don't think any of them get anything. I think it was just a wash at this point, which does kind of feel like a loss. I'm not gonna lie if I'm being completely transparent. Seeing her strut through the Runway at the Met Gala, it just. It all felt so icky and gross. I don't know how anybody can even think that she's a champion for women. When it came time for her to buckle and fold and not present her mountains of evidence for the jury. Like, if you had a strong case and you were really doing this despite your reputation, but for all the people that you're claiming that you were standing up for, you wouldn't have settled this close to trial. You would have gone to trial, you would have presented your mountains of evidence, you would have gone on that jury stand, you would have told your truth, and you would have had confidence that the jury would have swayed in your favor because you had mountains of evidence. So, yeah, Holly says her priorities are sad af. Her priorities are definitely sad af, But I always said a few things. One, I always said her best case scenario was the judge gutting her case, which he did. I thought she was then going to say, see, the law is against women. The law is not in favor of protecting women in the workplace, yada, yada, yada. But then the judge really kind of counteracted her ability to do that by giving us such a detailed, you know, 150 page ruling on why he decided to toss out her case, where he does go through all of the different infractions and talks about why none of them would the criteria for sexual harassment. So it wasn't just the technicality that all the Blake bots were really trying to fight for. It was, you know, it was. It was a lot of things, and mostly the biggest things, that her case was bogus. And she knew that her case was bogus, and she knew that she needed to fold. But the thing with the Met Gala piece is it's like this dress did not come together in a matter of hours or even if they decided to settle on Friday. She didn't just whip this dress together over the weekend. Like, this is something that she's been planning. I highly doubt. And it's been reported that Blake Lively was not invited to the Met Gala, but instead she purchased a ticket, which anybody can do. Anybody can purchase a ticket to the met gala for $100,000. Now, it's likely that somebody she knew maybe had a table at the Met Gala, and so therefore, you know, they gave her one of the seats. One of her seats. So, I mean, listen, I'll give her this. She looks great. The dress was very pretty. It was a. What was it? A vintage. Vintage Versace. Her hair looks good. Her makeup looks good. Her purse, you know, was a cute nod to her kids. So from a fashion, you know, traditional Hollywood standpoint, I think without Blake Lively being in this big scandal, I would have probably considered this one of the better outfits of the night. I think I personally would have said, yeah, I really liked that. But it's also just so shameless of her to just think she can strut down this red carpet when, again, you were claiming to fight for women. You just told all of those women that you said that you were fighting for. You don't give a fuck about them. That's exactly what this moment says. It says, I don't care about you. I'm going to look good. I'm going to keep my head held high. It is business as usual, and I'm going to live my best life. So y' all haters can suck it. But it's like she's getting a wave of backlash. Despite all of the media outlets that are trying to cover her favorably. She's getting a ton of backlash online. And I'm just like, well, who is she gonna accuse of this smear campaign? Because clearly this must be a new wave of the smear campaign, right? Everyone's being mean to you at the Met gala because they think you have no shame. They think that you're a narcissist. They think that you're so out of touch with reality. Tone deaf, mean girl, bully. All of those things is exactly what you're proving to be by strutting your diamonds on the red carpet, which is. Has become this Hunger Games style event, you know, where it's just a bunch of rich, wealthy people thinking they're so important that they have to circle jerk each other off to, you know, remember how important they are. So, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But here we are. Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni. It is. It ends with this. It ends with settlement. This is how it ends. This is the end of the road. Predictions for what will have next happen next. I think Baldoni is going to lay low for a while. I think he's going to, I think at some point talk, obviously with settlement negotiations, you can't talk about the other party. You can't talk about the specifics of the actual settlement. So I think they'll be creative with how they. They go about that. I think Blake will continue to get a series of small wins in this moment, but the greater picture is pretty clear. I think she's been exposed. I think her husband's been exposed. People know exactly who they are. They know who Taylor Swift is now. They know this cackle of, of, you know, mean kids, bully behavior that goes on in Hollywood. I mean, we read the text messages of her and Taylor Swift cackling about, like, trolling Justin Baldoni, who they called a doofus director, again, long before anybody stepped foot on the set of It Ends With Us. So you can't go and, and scream that there was all this sexual harassment that was going on or this was a toxic workplace because the work had not officially begun working. They this. That was those text messages and the trolling with Taylor Swift and them laughing about it afterwards and talked about they were laughing with Ryan. All of that happened beforehand. So I don't know. It's an interesting one, I'll tell you that. It is an intedesante one. For sure, for sure, for sure, for sure. But like I said, guys, I'm going to be chatting. Me and my friend Donna Bowling are going to be chatting with Brian Friedman today at noon. So in about one hour. So hit the subscribe button, hit that bell notification button so that as soon as we are live here on YouTube, you will get that notification and you will be in the live with us. Okay? You're not going to want to miss it. Brian Friedman, he's here. He's going to be chatting. We're going to be asking him all of your burning questions and hopefully he can give us some insight as to what happened and how we came to this actual settlement situation because it's. It's crazy. It is really, really crazy. I had to digest it yesterday. I had to sleep on it. Part of it. There have been moments where I've been angry because I'm like, it feels like a win for Blake because now she doesn't get to be held accountable. She just gets to go and walk the red carpet. But again, if what we're hearing is true and there was no money exchanged and she truly was just walking and she had to pay to get her way in, that's not really a win. That's just optics, right? Like, sure, she looks pretty. And sure, her dress, you know, she's got one of the better outfits of everybody at that met gala because some of those looks were. Were wild. The heated rivalry guys, I'm just kind of like, oh, they were looking right there. It's a little too overexposure. Was it Oliver Hudson? And damn it, what's the other one's name? It wasn't Oliver Hudson. That's Kate Hudson's brother Hudson something. And then the other. I don't remember their names, but the two hot dudes from heated rivalry. Not the really hot dudes, but the two main dudes. Terrible looks. They were actually some really funny memes that I saw that if I had more time, we would go through them. But, yeah, I'm curious. How are you guys feeling about the news? Let me, like, drop a comment in the live chat. It's obviously shocking. It feels like this was like the Biggest. It's funny, one of my production guy, Marco texts me and he's like, I feel like Blake just blue balled us for the last two years. Like, there was all this buildup. It was like all this foreplay and all of this, like, you know, let's build it, let's build it, let's build it. And then, you know, it just. It amounted to nothing at the end. And nobody even got money. Nobody got an apology. And it's like, well, then what was this all for? Like, what did we do this all for? I don't anticipate an appeal from either party. If anything, the only litigation I can see coming forward is Blake Lively will need somebody to blame. She'll likely blame her attorneys. I can probably see her teen up a possible lawsuit against her attorneys for saying that they, you know, they failed her and they cost her all this money because again, she's going to need somebody to blame. And I think her and Ryan are both spiteful and. And too narcissistic and ego driven to consider themselves as the problem or consider their case as an issue. Baldoni will not appeal. I'm pretty sure that was part of his settlement agreement, is that they will not come after each other moving forward. But there is still the case against Stephanie Jones, right? The Jones work PR lawsuit is still ongoing. Jennifer Abel is still battling Stephanie Jones. I think there will be a lot more. I feel like that's the sequel. That's the next. That's the spinoff saga of all of this, is the Stephanie Jones, Jennifer Abel Wayfair lawsuit piece. And we'll see how that plays out. I imagine Brian Friedman will continue to represent them and push that forward. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. A win and loss, it just. It felt so anticlimactic. You know, it felt like there was a build up for two years and we built it, built it, built it only to just, like, land here. So I don't know. All right, let's see. How are you guys feeling? Let's get some. Some reactions. Huge letdown. Yeah. I can't say I disagree with you. You know, I do feel let down. Holly says Blake won't ever forget this. We won't let her. I hope so. Will Blake Lively be blacklisted in Hollywood? Unlikely. I think she'll find a way to slither her way back in. I think Ryan Reynolds will help with that. But it's interesting that Blake showed up on this carpet without Ryan Reynolds. Where's Ryan? He hasn't been by her a lot. Lately. And if he had to buy her a ticket to the Met gala and he had to pay for her glam and he had to make sure that, you know, he had to pay for this litigation, I'm sure he's pissed. He ain't happy with her. He is not happy with her at all. Blake and Justin can get pulled into Stephanie's case. They can, but there's no battling of each other. Right. And I'm pretty sure they'll do everything they can to. To keep themselves out of it. Zach asked Brian if we can sue Blake for putting us through this. That's so funny. And the New York Times. I don't know if the New York Times case will move forward. I mean, I guess they've gotten enough information in discovery to push that forward, but I don't really know. He just shared a video of her from British Vogue. Who did? Oh, Ryan. But he does not standing by her. It's so strange to me. The dress she wore was an archival dress, too, so. So it was old, like her. What are we trying to say? TMZ said she got advice from a different attorney firm a week ago. See, and if that. That's what I'm thinking. That's what I'm thinking. She's likely going to be gearing herself up for a lawsuit against her attorneys now. Right. Cause she has to pass the buck onto somebody else. So either this other law firm and my understanding of that, of the other attorneys that she's recently hired, my understanding is they're not settlement attorneys. So you wouldn't bring on new attorneys to settle the case. And why would you settle the case so close to trial if you didn't have a different strategy? And the different strategy now will likely be she's going to blame her attorneys. That's what I'm predicting. Justin, I think, is going to stay quiet, stay low for a while. He'll probably try to stay out of the Jennifer Abel lawsuit, Stephanie Jones lawsuit. He'll probably try to keep himself as far away from that as possible and just, you know, do his best to recover and recoup from all of this. I was on Courtroom Confidential last night, which was really fun, and thank you, Josh, who was the host, who had me on at a great time with him. So be sure I added that to my YouTube channel. It's on the. There's a. A featured on playlist on my YouTube channel. So you can go right there and you can catch all of my recent press clippings. I was on his show last night and it was a lot of fun. We talked about the settlement. We talked about a lot. We talked about the David case. I think we're gonna be covering that a lot more. We have to start thinking of what cases we want to be moving. We want to be doing. Moving forward. But I don't know what Blake Lively's career looks like moving forward, to be honest, because I feel like at this point, I don't know who's gonna want to hire her. She's super litigious. It shows that she will flex and. And throw her money around as much as she possibly can. So I don't know what happens. I think she has to lay low for a minute, and I don't think she will know how to do that. I think she's gonna have a really tough time laying low. But, yeah, with verbo care, help is always ready before, during, and after your stay. We've planned for the plot twists, so support is always available because a great trip starts with peace of mind. I don't know. We'll see. F it all. I mean, yeah, I. I understand when you guys are saying that there's a lot of. There's a bit of a letdown. She will work again tomorrow. Watch her. She'll try to. She's absolutely going to try to keep playing these games of optics. Holly said, zach, now you can help clear Erica's name. Oh, that's right. That's the next one. So, I mean, that was going to be the big conflict is that the Blake and Baldoni trial was also going to be the Erika Jayne trial, which is set to begin May 18th. And so Erika Jayne, we'll see what happens with her. I mean, I feel like I've done a really good job of clearing Erica's name. It's just going to come down to, is there any legal culpability, and is she going to have to pay back what Tom was writing off as loans? Is the judge going to determine that those loans, you know, can be paid back? I imagine there are going to be statute of limitations issues that will come into play, because that was something that happened over the course of 12 years. So I. Yeah, but that'll be interesting. Erica Jane. I'm looking forward to for sure. Yes. Team Erica shut down the smear. I feel like the smear has kind of ended with Erica, though. Like, people have come to their. Come to their senses at this point. So I don't know. Okay. In less than an hour, Brian Friedman is going to be here on my YouTube channel, and Donna bowling, and I are going to be chatting with him. So right now, hit the subscribe button and hit the bell notification button so that as soon as we go live, we're going live about 12 Pacific. So noon Pacific, that's 12, 1, 2, 3 Eastern, 3 o' clock Eastern. So in less than an hour, in 54 minutes. 54 minutes, we are going live with Brian Friedman to answer all your questions. So be sure to get those questions in. Right now, hit that bell notification button so that as soon as the interview drops live, you are in it, streaming it, and hopefully we can get some of your questions answered, because I know I have a lot of questions myself. Meaninglessness says fine. They settled. But the statement is bad. People that don't follow the docket think Wayfair is guilty. WTF did it start with that ended with that? Yeah, it wasn't the best statement. And I feel like they had to give Blake some sort of win and some sort of acknowledgment. And I feel like the acknowledgment they gave her was the best that they could do of, like, appealing without necessarily saying that they did anything wrong, because they didn't. They definitely don't talk about the smear campaign. None of that gets addressed. There's no, you know, accepting blame for any of that. So I don't know. It wasn't my favorite statement because it gave the Blake bots an opportunity to twist it into something that it clearly isn't. Or maybe there's just confirmation bias on both sides. Right. But I don't know. It just. It kind of feels like a really big, anticlimactic way to end this. But at least it's over. At least, you know, the parties can all move forward. Blake Lively has done enough to torch her own reputation. I think this was epic level stupid, as Sony said. So. Yeah. All right, let's see. Selma says the agreement is not 100% signed, per Brian Friedman. Interesting. So are you saying there is still a chance they could go to trial? I highly doubt that, but the agreement is not 100% signed. Interesting. I wonder what that means. Well, I guess we'll ask him here in less than an hour, so be sure to hit the bell notification button. Hit the subscribe button if you're not subscribed already. Donna Boland and I are going to be chatting with Brian Friedman in less than an hour. King Bob says Blake asked the female reporter what she was wearing. Bet she wouldn't have asked a guy that question. That's funny, because we know from the shirsty flaw video that Blake and Parker Posey had such a big issue with being asked about the clothing and how men would never be asked about clothing. Why do they always ask women about their friends fashion, even though Blake is such a fashionista. The positive one here is that I got introduced to your channel. Oh, that's so sweet. Thank you, guys. Please ask why they allowed that statement, if you can. Great question here. I'm going to take notes and see what questions you guys want me to ask Brian so I can add that to my docket. Add that to my list. Here it is. Direct quote. Yo, why you ask that question, bruh? There you go. That's what I'm going to ask Brian Friedman. She's a fashionista in her own mind. She is a fat. Well, I don't love all of her fashion, but she is. She does have some good looks. Like, you know, with a little discernment. I actually really enjoyed her Met gala look it. You know, it definitely served evil, wicked bitch. But it was cute. You know, you gotta look closer at the statement. They conceded nothing. Yeah, that's what I'm. Yeah, that's what I mean. They didn't concede anything but the wording of it. Although, you know, a way Blake can. Can twist it to favor herself, but it still was always. They were. There was always going to be something that. That the Blakebots could twist out of it, like the stipulation. They were like, see, that's a good thing. So they can lick their wounds and. And consider themselves victorious in all of this. But at the end of the day, their queen, who is saving all the women and the children of the world from digital violence and sexual harassment in the workplace, she dipped out. She bailed on them when it became convenient for her to bail on them. And. And we won't forget that. Ask Brian if there is a disparagement clause in the agreement so that Blake and Ryan won't be talking negatively about him. I would imagine there is a disparity. There is a disparagement clause for sure. But I will. I will ask him, is there a disparagement clause? I will ask him that for sure. All right, give me a follow zackpeter all over the Internet. Be sure to hit the like button. Hit the subscribe button. Drop any questions you have below. Zack brings his signature unfiltered, witty commentary to detail the timeline, the aftermath, and the implications for Hollywood, all while engaging with his live audience and teasing an upcoming interview with high-profile attorney Brian Friedman.
