A
A Hollywood tragedy. Rob Reiner, Hollywood director, has been found dead with his wife. His son has been arrested. Justin Baldoni is fighting back at Blake Lively. And Meghan Markle is getting called out by a reporter because apparently she's been ignoring her dad. I don't know. Lots to get into. I hope you're ready for it. Let's dive in. This is no filter with Zack Peter your go to source for all the latest pop culture and reality TVT Surf fresh all week long.
B
Now let's dive in.
A
And dive in we shall. Happy Monday. Hope you guys had a good weekend. Hopefully you got some Christmas stuff done. Or maybe you're celebrating Hanukkah. Happy Hanukkah, everybody. Hopefully.
B
Yeah.
A
We're what, Day two, day three of Hanukkah. It's all off to a start. It's been quite an eventful weekend. Crazy, crazy weekend. But, you know, lots more tea to be discussing, especially this crazy story with Rob Reiner. I don't know if you guys are familiar with him. He has directed a number of movies. He did Sleepless in Seattle. He did the Wolf of Wall Street, When Harry Met Sally, Misery. Love Misery. One of my favorite movies.
B
I don't think I've seen. I haven't seen Princess Bride. I haven't seen When Harry Met Sally.
A
I know.
B
Have I seen Wolf of Wall Street?
A
I don't know. I feel like Wolf of Wall street is what people know him for more recently. But, yeah, unfortunately, he was found with his wife.
B
We'll get into that story in just a sec. But, yeah, it kind of seems to
A
be the number one story that everybody's
B
talking about right now. It's Rob Reiner. I tried to watch the Taylor Swift documentary. I'm sorry to all of my friends
A
that are Swifties, but it was really boring. It's only two parts. It just didn't hook me.
B
It was not interesting.
A
There was a lot of, like, we got to know a lot of, like,
B
her dancers and the backstories of her
A
dancers and, like, cool. Good for them.
B
Don't really care, to be honest, but
A
I feel like the Last Date documentary
B
or so because she did what she did.
A
Miss Americana.
B
She's had a few different documentaries and
A
they've all been fine for the most part. This one I just. I couldn't even get into. I, like, tried to watch in the
B
background and it just was not that interesting.
A
You have to watch Princess. What is Princess Bright? I know that's one of his more
B
like famous credits, but what. What is Princess Bride? Have I seen. Maybe I have seen Princess Bride. It's just been forever. It's an old movie. I feel like I probably have seen Princess Bride. I just don't. 87. Yeah, I'm sure I've seen it. I'm sure it's. I just don't remember. What's it about? Let's see the Princess Bride. I feel like I've definitely seen this movie.
A
A beloved fantasy adventure based on William
B
Gold's novel that blends romance, comedy and swat swashbuckling adventure with a meta narrative of grandfather reading the story to his grandson.
A
It follows the story of Buttercup and Wesley who must overcome pirates, giants and sitting six figured man to be together.
B
All while being famously quotable and satirical. Interesting.
A
So it's.
B
It's about love. Hashtag love wins.
A
I'm pretty sure I've seen Oh yeah,
B
because I remember Wallace Shawn. He's that goofy looking guy. Yeah, okay, so.
A
And Billy Crystal.
B
Okay, so I probably. I'm sure if I see a clip, I'll remember it. It's a classic. Well then if it's a classic, then I've probably seen it. Princess Bride is horribly campy. It's fabulous. Well, great.
A
As long as it's horribly campy. Okay. That said Taylor Swift. Boring. We got the trailer for the next batch of Stranger Things Volume 2. It didn't give us a whole lot. I would play it for you, but I don't want to be flagged for copyright infringement here. Maybe I'll do some narrating.
B
I'm going to lower the volume. That way you can't hear it.
A
And then I. I tried to like, play. I tried to play. I did a scene of It Ends with us and I was like, well, if there's no audio, then like, they won't pick it up. And then I'll like make it small in the screen. That didn't work.
B
I still got flagged for copyright infringement
A
for it was the rooftop scene. And we did the rooftop scene and we didn't even have any audio and it wasn't even the full picture, so. And I was talking over it, but whatever, I got flagged.
B
So we're just not doing that anymore.
A
But we have volume two. So spoiler. For those who have not seen Volume one.
B
I'm just gonna.
A
I'm gonna put my hand up. Well, there's a spoiler that way you know that there's a spoiler. And then I will put my hand down when spoilers are done. But so spoiler alert. Stranger Things Volume 1 will has powers he's gay. And his gay. Once he accepts himself for being gay, then he has powers and he can do magic or he can, like, control the Demogorgons. Okay, spoiler done. So now volume two, like, it opens up and he's like, oh, everything we knew about the Upside down, we actually know. But I'm just like, well, what do we know about the Upside Down? We don't really know anything. Like, I. I'm very confused as to what the Upside down is. We kind of think that maybe it's like, inside Vecna's mind, there's some sort of, like, alternate reality universe that exists within the Upside Down.
B
I don't know.
A
But when they're like, everything we thought about the Upside down was wrong. I was like, but what did we think about it? Because I'm very confused. But. So I'm assuming we get more into what the Upside down is. My prediction is that Vecna is not the end all be all. He's not Big Bad. There's an Uber A. That's a reference to Pretty Little Liars in my heart. That was like A. And then there was super A. And then there was Uber A. Well, I'm thinking there's an Uber A. There's a bigger Bad, probably that controls the Upside down or something. And so they have to, like, destroy him. But I think in order to destroy him, Vecna is probably gonna have to team up with, like, the. All the children of the corn with 11 and all the, you know, all the kids have to come together and use all their powers and, like, take down whoever the Big Bad is. Maybe the Big Bad is the real Papa. Or maybe Papa.
B
I don't know. Papa died a couple season four, Remember?
A
He was, like, the one that, like, was operating in all the children on the corn. My prediction is there's a bigger bad they're gonna have to defeat the bigger bad. I think Will is gonna die. I think 11 is gonna die. There's a really. So in the. In the trailer, there's Steve and.
B
And who's the. What's the other one? Stranger Things cast. Why? Dustin.
A
Steven.
B
Dustin.
A
And so I think everyone's like, oh, my God, they better not kill Steve and they better not kill Dustin, which I don't want them to. I mean, I don't think. I really think the big, like, because apparently I think the Duffer Brothers have said that there are going to be two. Or someone on the cast said that they're going to be two major deaths by the end of it, which is the big finale, which is on New Year's Eve, which I still want to go see very much. I don't think I'm going to end up doing the. The in theaters 1:1. Because nobody wants to go with me because nobody's into Stranger Things the way I'm into Stranger Things. You know, I love Stranger Things. I'm very invested, but nobody in my life is very invested. And so nobody wants to go with me to the Thea tour. And so I'll probably just end up watching it here. I think I'm gonna have like a New Year's Eve thing and invite some
B
of my neighbors to my apartment. I don't know. Do like sushi and champagne. The Upside down is the Mind Flayers
A
universe that one found. Yes, yes. And I think the Mind Flayer, that's the big spider thing, right? The scary looking thing. I think that there's a bigger bad within that the Mind Flayer is controlled by whoever.
B
I don't know.
A
There's something. Friday night was so fun. Oh, yeah. If you guys missed that. Hold on, let me finish.
B
Stranger Things.
A
So Dustin and Steve, there's like this really cute scene in the trailer where they're like, if you die, I die. Basically. Like, they're gonna go together. I don't think either of them is going to die. I think it's way too obvious and on the nose. If that's what they give us in the trailer, I don't think either of them are gonn. I really think it's going to be like a Will and an 11 and like one of the main ones that
B
are going to end up dying by the end of it. But I'm very excited.
A
Christmas Day. So we have 10 days until part two, and then we have the grand
B
finale, which is on New Year's Eve.
A
And I'm very excited for it. But it looks like they're. They're fighting. It looks like they're alternate universes. Vecna seems to really be coming to life. But I think we're gonna get more of the Vecna story.
B
We'll see. Steve has the best character arc of all the characters.
A
Yeah, he was kind of, you know,
B
it was fine.
A
I like it. Now they're saying, like, Steve is the mom because he's taking care of them. Everybody's fixated on the if you die, I die. Oh, look at.
B
This is the scene. You die, I die. It's just. I don't think either of them is gonna die. I think it's way Too on the nose and way too obvious.
A
But yes, everyone in the live chat is referencing the live that we did on Friday night. So that's the Baldoni story. Let's get into that and then we'll. We'll touch on the Rob Reiner stuff because that's crazy.
B
Zach, I'm really vibing with your look today. What's so different about my look today? I mean, I got a haircut. I don't think there's anything uniquely different about my look.
C
We're lost. I'm gonna pull over and ask that man for directions.
A
Hi there.
C
We're looking to get to the campground.
D
Well, you're going to take a left at the old oak tree end of this here road. No, I'm just kidding. Let me get my phone out.
C
How are you getting a signal out here?
D
T Mobile and US Cellular decided to merge. So the network out here is huge. We're getting the same great signal as the city and saving a boatload with all the benefits. Oh, and a five year price guarantee. Okay, here's those directions.
C
Actually, can you point us in the direction of a T Mobile store?
E

A
So Baldoni filed his response to Blake Lively's response to his motion for summary judgment. That will not be heard before a judge until, I believe, January 22nd. But today, December 15th, they are in settlement negotiations. Do I think they're going to settle
B
by the end of this?
A
Probably not. I don't think they'll get to some sort of negotiation or they'll get to any. Some sort of resolution rather. But the judge did say, go try to solve. Try to settle this. I think the judge is going through everything and he's. I mean, even though it is standard procedure, you should. You're supposed to do settlement negotiations. Like all of that is very standard. I think the judge very much is like, blake, you got to do it.
B
You got to do it.
A
T watambo says, do you have a filter on it?
B
Looks like I have a filter on, right?
A
I don't have A filter. I got new lights, so it's a little bright. The lighting's a little harsher on me.
B
It does kind of look like I have a filter on, though, right? I think it's just really good lighting. Like, I'll come into the camera so you can see. See? Yeah, you can totally see, like, my pores and stuff. You can see all of my skin. It's just really good lighting.
A
It does look like a filter, though,
B
from afar, which was interesting. But no, I don't have a filter on.
A
I even checked when I logged before I went live. I went into the settings and I was like, is the cause there is an option where you can turn on, like, the touch up my appearance feature, and mine isn't on.
B
Thank you for thinking I have a filter on. It's just really good lighting.
A
Um. Oh, my God, Zach, your last episode,
B
the whole time you and Stu were
A
talking about solid core, and I thought you were saying salad core, and it was a class where you make delicious salads. Well, Lindsay, you were way off, But Blake Lively, she responded to Justin, Justin responded back to her. And if you guys missed so there. Lauren nighty on the court of random opinion. She did, like, a full reading of it, but she was reading it on Friday evening. And then Donna joined her live, and then I joined the live, and then Elsie joined the live, and then Andy joined the live, and then Omar joined the live, and so we were all live. I think in total, the live was four hours. I was only there for, like, three and a half.
B
Ish.
A
No, I think.
B
Was it a full four hours?
A
Yeah, I think I was only there for two and a half hours. I don't think I did a full three. They were live for an hour before I hopped on, and then they were live for an additional 30 minutes after I had left. But it was so long, it was crazy. Andy came in. He, like, was wearing a wig. He was pretending to be Blake Lively. It was whack a doodle time. But so we read through all of the document. I mean, if you don't have four hours to spare to go through the entire live, I think some of it is available on my YouTube channel. I streamed some of it, but the full thing is on Lauren's YouTube channel. And then I think she did a more condensed version. It's good. I mean, was there anything entirely new that came out of the new filing? Not really. Blake seems to be twisting the the sh claims, and now she's directing all of her attention at Jamie Heath. It's directed away from Justin and now towards producer Jamie Heath. And she's really fixating on the birthing video and the fact that he came into her trailer when she was getting her body make removed. And so I believe she was covered, but she was technically naked, but she had like, she was covered with like, I think a robe or something. It's uncertain exactly what. And they were removing her body makeup, which why somebody else needs to remove her body makeup, like, I don't know. Can't you just take a shower? Isn't that kind of, you know, an easier solution? But so Beldoni savagely clapped back. He said that her case, a lot of her. Her issues are fatal, and her case is essentially dead. Do I think that Judge Lyman will
B
ultimately dismiss her case?
A
Probably not. He's not really seemed to be favoring Baldoni at all. He seems to definitely be favoring Blake.
B
So we'll have to wait and see.
A
But it's crazy. It's.
B
She's losing this bad, and it.
A
It continues to look worse for her. Her case continues to crumble and fall apart. I don't know how any of the Blake bots are so, like, loyal to her. I mean, they. They're either so blind, like Amber heard believe women, or they're like, not deeply in the weeds of everything. They hear the accusations that she makes, or they see the headlines with the accusations that she makes. But then once you get the context
B
and the details, her case is crumbling. And I don't think it's. I don't think it's gonna end well for her.
A
But, I mean, I would love if the judge just said, hey, come January, Blake, your case is entirely dismissed, but it's more likely that we're going to end up going to trial in May. The judge did seem kind of irritated with both of them, so I guess it's possible. But I think it's a very, very, very slim chance that the judge will
B
dismiss in favor of Baldoni. I just. I don't know.
A
He may get to that point where he's just like, you're both stupid and none of this is worth pursuing any further and just throw her claims at altogether. Is that necessarily a win for Baldoni? Assume so. I wonder if that may in some way bring back his defamation case against her. Because if the judge dismisses her case against him and they can there, then she essentially has failed to prove that any sh actually happened. And then there's a judgment that I guess Belzoni can technically use.
B
I don't know.
A
It'll.
B
It'll be.
A
We'll have to wait and see. Isaac says judges can literally do whatever they want when the evidence is not black and white. They can interpret everything how they want to. Exactly. And that's kind of my concern is I think Judge Lyman's gonna be like, I dismissed Baldoni's case, but let's let Blake's case move forward. Heather says Blake's having her case. Blake having her case dismisses her. Best case scenario, she can blame one guy for not seeing it and stay a victim forever. A fake victim forever. Yeah. I think this is her only legal way out. She's probably praying that she gets this case dismissed and not having to go to a jail, because she can be big and bad and her attorneys can be like, we're taking it to trial. We're going all the way. We're going to prove we have evidence, which you really don't have evidence. And if they present any of that. Because here's the other thing. This is how she's preventing her deposition from getting out, because everything is redacted. We can't see anything. Like, there's a lot that she's hiding from. She's hiding the tailored text messages. She's hiding her deposition. She has so many pieces of, you would think are key pieces of evidence that she's afraid of getting out. If it goes to trial, it all comes out. So. I agree. I think her best case scenario would be for this entire case to get dismissed.
B
Her best case scenario. Right.
A
I don't think it's going to help her, though.
B
I think the public has already turned on her for the most part, and it's just, you know, we'll see. Shady as hell. To redact everything.
A
Yeah, I agree. Isaac says. I'm not saying he'll do anything illegal.
B
No, but I'm not on camera punching you. It's all up to arguments, testimony, law cases, etc. It's complex.
A
That's the legal system. Yeah. I mean, listen, it's the same way he dismissed Baldoni's case. I mean, that could have easily moved to trial, but he decided to, you know, make that decision and make that judgment call on his own.
B
Zach, she's just protecting her people. Yeah. I'm sure she knows exactly what she's doing. She wants to get the SH claims dismissed, I believe.
A
Yeah. And. But, yeah, and I don't. If the SH falls apart, so does the smear campaign, and there's no evidence of the smear campaign. Baldoni's team. I saw some people were circulating, like on Instagram. And stuff about Baldoni's team bringing in, like, a crisis PR expert to basically say that everything that Melissa, Nathan and Tag were doing is pretty normal, up to par, and, you know, standard. Now, just because it's standard doesn't mean that it might not be illegal, especially as times change. I don't. I personally don't think there was anything
B
illegal, so I just think we'll see. Michelle says, still waiting to see any sh.
A
She's already given it to us. She's given us all the. All of our claims have already been picked apart and they completely fail. Anybody? Yeah, they completely fail. The birthing video and the trailer and getting her makeup removed were the two worst claims, and they're all Jamie Heath. So the whole thing has been turned against Jamie Heath because everything she had against Baldoni has already crumbled. Right. The sexy comments, they showed that there were multiple people that commonly used that term on set. And sometimes you have to do and say certain things when you're talking about intimate scenes with, you know, to people that, hey, guess what? They happen to have sex in the movie. Why? And then you're going to talk about sex to the lead actress who's going to have to perform a sex scene. What?
B
That's crazy. Her talking about her outfits and her
A
boots that are so sexy. But she gets upset if Baldoni says the word sexy in her presence. Crazy.
B
What else?
A
The dancing montage video really crumbled her. He smelled me and told me I smelled good. The audio completely contradicted what she said.
B
What other.
A
I mean, her text messages alone, the never with teeth ones, like, it's all pretty crazy. I don't think there's anything that she has said against Beldoni that has actually, like, stood up to a legal standard for harassment.
B
On set with Boni, Heather says, I love women. I am a woman.
A
But I think what we saw here
B
had a lot to do with postpartum hormones. I'm sorry, just biology, not facts.
A
I think that that was an excuse that she should have used. I've said that from the beginning. She should. Said I had. You know, my hormones were all over the place. I was struggling with postpartum. I wasn't, you know, thinking clearly, which obviously she wasn't. But when she launched this lawsuit, you can't really blame postpartum at that point because that was what?
B
Well over.
A
That's a year and a half after she had the baby.
B
Like, you can't keep holding on to that.
A
I just think she fell for him. She felt rejected.
B
She decided to pursue it.
A
Why?
B
I honestly think Ryan Reynolds is the one that decided to pursue all of this. I think he's the one that decided to push this forward. But we'll have to wait and see what happens. I don't think that they'll stay together in the end, though. I think this will definitely, definitely crumble. For sure. Their marriage and her legal case will crumble together. Postpartum can last a long time, though, just FYI.
A
I'm sure it can, but, I mean, I don't know.
B
She has like, what, four nannies?
A
She has everything. I just think she's an entitled brat. I think she could have used the excuse of postpartum on the set of the movie, But I think this is all ego and narcissism and I think it's all.
B
Yeah, yeah, you said. I think that's just her personality. Absolutely. I think that's just her personality.
A
Why are we suddenly trying to give her a pass? Well, she can have postpartum eight years later, so you never know. That could be. You know, this lawsuit could be triggered by her postpartum from 1992. I mean, come on, guys. Why are we even trying to give her a pass?
B
There is such a pattern. Yes, there's such a pattern with her behavior. She's done on.
A
She's done this on other movies.
B
Exactly.
A
I don't think this is postpartum at all. Her fourth kid. Like, I don't think this is postpartum. I really think that this is just. She's an entitled Hollywood brat and she's finally getting exposed for it.
B
I've heard it for the longest time about her behavior. Special KKS says, I think Ryan and Blake will stay together unless he falls for someone else.
A
No, I think he knows that she's hurting his reputation. And if she ends up embarrassed in front of the whole world, I don't
B
think he'll stay with her. I don't think he can stay with her. You know, she'll have to go into hiding all the way back to Gossip Girl. Yeah, yeah, she had.
A
She had pre pregnancy postpartum.
B
That's what it was
A
on Gossip Girl.
B
She.
A
It was. It was pretty partum.
B
Not postpartum.
A
It was pre partum way before she was even pregnant. She was having prepared him where she
B
was a bitch on set.
A
Okay, let's talk about. Oh, let's talk about Meghan Markle. And then I want to talk about
B
the Rob Reiner thing. The Rob Reiner thing is wild.
A
But take a look at Lauren, the court of random opinion. Take a look at her YouTube channel. You can catch our full.
B
I think it was, like, over four hours that she was live for.
A
I came in through the middle chunk of it. Andy dipped in and out.
B
Omer dipped in for a hot second. Donna was on.
A
I want to say, almost all of it. Elsie dipped in at some point.
B
It was fun. It was a good time. K an says postpartum may last a
A
while, but it doesn't excuse you ruining someone's reputation. How are we even connecting this and saying that she. That. I don't understand how we even got on this. This train of thought about this being postpartum in some way? I don't think this has anything to do with postpartum.
B
I think this has everything to do with ego.
A
I think Stephanie Jones is absolutely the one that launched this whole legal warfare. I think she took the text messages to Leslie Sloan in some sort of rage against Jennifer Abel or Melissa Nathan or whatever her beef was with them. She wanted to get back at Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties, and so she decided to go to Leslie Sloan. She launched this whole thing, and it's
B
just crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy. Best live ever. Hope you had a good night, Zach.
A
It was a great night. It was fun.
B
Yeah. If you type bleak, lively movies. She actually hasn't done too many.
A
She's done like, eight.
B
I think she's embarrassed her career isn't as. As successful as her hubbies. I don't know. I don't think she really needs to. So. Yeah, Wish the Internet roasted Harry as much as they do.
A
Megan, the thing with Harry is he's just kind of dumb and he's just kind of there. Like, he's not doing anything is the issue. Like, he's kind of just like, you know, the good little whipping boy. That's why. No, I mean, trust me, we roasted him. Remember when he was talking about his, like, frozen penis in his book Spare? His book was so stupid. I try. I read the book. We did it for book club, didn't we? Yeah, the book was stupid. He was trolled then.
B
I.
A
But I think he knows better than to continue to put himself in the line of fire, where Megan continues to put herself directly in the line of fire.
B
So. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Well, on that note, should we do
B
some shout outs to our pals?
A
It is the holiday season. You know, you're. I'm sure you're in the middle of trying to think about what you're going to get everybody for the holidays, whether it's Hanukk or Christmas gift buying is top of mind. It's super easy even for your least tech savvy relatives. And then after a year, Storyworth compiles all of their stories together and photos. Cause if you wanna send in photos, they can print photos in vibr. So it really kind of puts a final touch on it. They also have a ton of other

B
Right?
A

B
Rob Reiner. This is kind of a sad story
A
like I know we talked about at
B
the top of the show.
A
He's directed a number of different films. Lots of people were talking about the Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally. I love Misery. Misery is a good one. That's one with Kathy Bates. I just always think of the.
B
The hammer.
A
When she like hammer, she breaks his ankle so that he can't leave the house. Sleepless in Seattle, First Wives Club, Wolf of Wall Street, Lots of really prominent
B
movies that he helped direct.
A
Well, unfortunately, last night he was found dead in his home with his wife.
B
His son Nick has been arrested in
A
relation to the incident. It is believed that Nick. Apologies that the details are a bit graphic, but his son Nick is believed
B
to have slit their throats. Apparently there was some sort of discussion
A
that got a little heated. As a result, the son Nick ended up murdering, or he's the presumed murderer of his parents. Obviously, everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but it seems this is. We don't know if he's gotten a
B
confession or how they determined that Nick
A
was the one that committed this horrifying act, but apparently the daughter, Rory, she
B
walked in, she found her parents dead. It's awful, awful, awful, awful.
A
I got the news last night.
B
I was at a Christmas party and everyone was like, looking at their phones
A
and like, oh, my God, what happened?
B
There were two bodies found at Rob Reiner's house.
A
And then the two bodies ended up
B
being Rob and his wife. And then the son was arrested and the story just like, continues to unfold and it's. Oh, his sister said it was him. Okay, so then, yeah, it has been. It has been confirmed.
A
It's just, it's heartbreaking. And then, unfortunately, there's another conversation that's
B
happening
A
and that is about Trump and
B
what Trump decided to post on Truth social media. Trump said Trump writes.
A
A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away together with his wife Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding and incurable affliction. With the mind crippling disease known as
B
Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as tds.
A
He was known to have driven people crazy by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump. With his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness. And with the golden age of America upon us, perhaps like never before, may
B
Rob and Michelle rest in peace.
A
I think this is one of the
B
worst things he's posted.
A
I think it's. Listen, I believe Trump, I believe TDS is real. I think people go crazy. I mean, Kathy Griffin, I think is the poster Child of tds and she looks batshit crazy.
B
Not the time, not the place. Don't fucking say anything that's. It's really that simple.
A
Like, this is one of those moments where it's just like, you didn't like. I get it, the dude. And listen, you look at Rob Reiner stuff, he was very anti Trump. He called him every name in the book. Like, he was true. Like, Kathy Griffin level. Tds cool. I mean, the most you needed to say was, what a tragedy. Rest in peace, or the best thing you could have said was, fucking nothing. Just don't post anything. Sometimes intrusive thoughts don't need to be
B
tweeted and posted out there.
A
And so now it's causing all of this discourse online, where now everybody on the left is like, trump next. Trump next. Get Trump next. Disgusting and vile. But then to see people on the right, I was looking like Laura Loomer, who was on X this morning, trying to defend him and be like, well, he did have tds. Who gives a. This man was just murdered. He was. His throat was slit. Him and his wife had their throats slit by their son. And their daughter walked in and found her parents slayed in the kitchen, dead, blood everywhere. I want that to be graphic so that when you picture that, you can think of how horrible of a scene that is not. Not the time. The Trump statement is fake, surely. No, it's real. He posted it. It's insane. It's just. Listen and I. It just. It further is dividing the country. It's further taking away from the things that have. The accomplishments that have been made this year, you know, the advancements with the administration that have been positive. It continues to foster the negative. It continues to drive people crazy. It continues to further perpetuate tds. It continues to blow things further and
B
further out of proportion.
A
And it was just unnecessary. And I know people gave me a lot of shit when I spoke out about Charlie Kirk. I'm going to give shit back, even. I don't care if you're on the left or on the right. I'm going to call it like I see it. And this we. It was completely unnecessary.
B
And I think it's disgusting. Not everything is political. I agree. And again, but it's not even just that.
A
It's the fact that he made this murder about himself and he's like, you know, and first of all, refers to himself in the third person. Like, it's just. It's completely egotistical, completely narcissistic, not reflective of the leader of Our country. And I know people have different critiques about that. Right. About his level of professionalism as the leader of the free world. But in this case, this is just
B
one thing that for me was just like. Like, it was not. Did it slap for me? Can you. Can. Can you say something nice to keep your mouth shut? Yeah. If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all. So, yeah.
A
Kelly says I went to Truth Social
B
to let him know. It was classless. It was very classless. It was very awful.
A
Nothing needed to be said. If you didn't like the dude, fine.
B
Don't say anything at all.
A
I don't want more of this from my president. I don't want more of this, you know, rhetoric. I don't want, like, to me, nothing about it was even remotely redeemable.
B
It's tone deaf.
A
It's tackless. It's classless. It's not represented. Representative of a leader. It shows a really egotistical, narcissistic side that is just not.
B
Not it at all. So I will stand on that. Laurie says sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut.
A
I agree.
B
Rob's first wife was Penny Marshall, another
A
actor involved during the height of TV comedy.
B
She was in Laverne and Shirley.
A
Yes. I believe he has a daughter with Penny. He had one daughter with Penny, and
B
then the rest of the kids were from his second wife. It's just so sad, you know, I
A
mean, obviously he was a troubled man.
B
His son was troubled. They had four kids. It's funny, if you look at his Wikipedia page, it says four kids, including Tracy. Why do we need to add including Tracy?
A
Tracy was, I believe, the daughter he had with Penny.
B
And then Michelle was his second wife, Michelle Singer. And they had three kids together, one
A
of which was Nick.
B
Nick is the one that was arrested. Sad.
A
And I couldn't even imagine Rory walking in to her parents like, it's.
B
It's just all around sad. And again, regardless of their politics, they're
A
human beings that were murdered in their
B
home by their son.
A
It's just the details of it are tragic.
B
And my heart breaks for their family.
A
I can only imagine what they're going through right now. I know Nick worked on a movie.
B
Was it beginning being Charlie or becoming Charlie?
A
They did a. A movie together that was based off of Nick's life and his relationship with his dad. Nick is an addict. He has been in and out of rehab. He's had a very troubled life. And so they produced a film together. And so that's kind of where Nick got some of his prominence from, like, people knew of him. He got a lot of press when the movie came out.
B
And yeah, it's just sad, sad, sad, sad.
A
But, I mean, I don't know if it was drug related. All we know from the details that have been released is that there was some sort of disagreement.
B
And then from that disagreement, Nick decided to act out against his parents. I hope that there's nothing more political behind this. I'm hoping it wasn't a political discourse sort of conversation, because that's the last
A
thing our country needs right now is to be like, see, he was right wing, and then he took out his
B
parents for being left wing.
A
And it's just more of that political violence on the other side also would be disgusting if that is the case.
B
I'm hoping that's not the case.
A
But Being Charlie is what it was called. Yeah, he wrote it about his drug
B
addiction and they released the movie together. That was 10 years ago. It's crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy. We'll see what. What comes of this, but it's just sad. Okay, Meghan Markle, let's see what's going on.
A
But, yeah, Nick is currently. I believe he's.
B
There's $4 million bail, and so he ain't getting out. Nobody's. Trust me, nobody is taking him out. But I don't know where he was in his sobriety journey or what will come of that.
A
But Meghan Markle, she is getting called out and dragged by a reporter who I guess has become friends with Megan's dad, Thomas. And so he's been in the hospital. I believe he had, like, a leg that was amputated. He was having some sort of surgery, and people were like, oh, my God.
B
Megan hasn't talked to her dad. Has she checked in on her dad.
A
And then a story came out that, like, she wrote him a letter. And so the letter ended up getting to the dad. But as far as we know, she
B
hasn't spoken to him or seen him.
A
She cut him out of her life. And so I guess he befriended the
B
dad is weird, Thomas.
A
I don't understand him at all. I think he's a very strange individual. He has a very complicated relationship with the press where he seems to talk to them and then he feels bad about it and he throws his daughter under the bus. And he doesn't mean to. And, like, it's all of these weird things. I read some Spare by Tom Bower, which is the book about Megan. It was really good revenge.
B
Sorry, not spare. Spare was Harry's book Revenge was by Tom Bower. And that was a good book.
A
And it really gets into like the history of Megan, her relationships with her parents. And she was like a daddy's girl. And he took care of her, paid for her, gave her this like, beautiful life.
B
He was very well off. And now he seems to really be
A
struggling and she seems to want nothing to do with him. But so I guess he made friends
B
with this journalist and now the journalist is speaking out.
A
She put out a. She works for the Daily Mail. She put out an article about how in spending time with Thomas and putting out updates about, you know, his recovery, that Meghan Markle's PR team reached out to her and they sent like very
B
mean and aggressive messages to her. I guess they were upset because the narrative was that Megan wasn't checking on her dad or tending to her dad. And obviously we know Megan doesn't like when she gets unfavorable press. And so as a result of that, they were sending her all these crazy, mean messages, which, I mean, are we really surprised by that? I'm not. I'm not surprised at all. But yeah, he had his leg amputated, which is sad. I mean, it just, it's sad to see where his life has ended considering the career that he had and then being like, you know, his daughter wants nothing to do with him. I listen, I think he kind of
A
liked the fame piece of it. I think he kind of liked people knowing who his daughter is and it gave him a sense of, you know, a little bit of that fame too.
B
But him being friends with reporters and stuff, I think is weird. I think it's strange.
A
Yeah.
B
Ooh, look at. We have a new update on Rob Reiner says Nick fought at Conan O' Brien's Christmas party 24 hours before the murders.
A
The late couple's 32 year old son.
B
Oh my God, he's my age, has been arrested as bail has said at 4 million. Interesting. So it seems like he got into some sort of. So he definitely seemed to be in an aggressive. I mean, not to make a joke,
A
but like, could you imagine whoever he got in a fight with that Conan o' Brien's Christmas party.
B
They're probably like thanking their lucky stars, like, well, at least he didn't, you know,
A
the.
B
Let's see. Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle reportedly got into a very large argument with son Nick right before their murders. The alleged dispute took place at Conan o' Brien's party on Saturday. The outlet claimed on Monday that Rob and Michelle left The party post confrontation with.
A
Oh, so they got into a fight at Conan's party and then what, he came home?
B
It remains unclear whether Nick departed the holiday bash as well. Reps for Rob and o' Brien did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. On Sunday, Rob and Michelle were found dead in their Brentwood home by Nick's younger sister, Romy. Oh, I thought her name was Rory. Her name is Romy. I apologize. The duo's throats were reportedly slit by a family member during an argument with the couple's daughter, allegedly telling investigators the
A
dangerous relative should be the suspect.
B
Page Six broke the news on Monday that Nick was arrested on charges of murder. The 32 year old is being held at the Parker center jail in downtown LA with his bail being set at 4 mil. That's crazy. Oh, wow. He looks very different now. Hold on, I'm gonna pull up this Page Six article so you guys can see.
A
What were they fighting about? My goodness, I don't know. But apparently they got in a fight at Conan's party, left the party. So it's unclear if the argument continued after that. But I guess at some point he had.
B
I can only imagine how Conan o' Brien's feeling about all this. It would be so awesome to be at Conan o' Brien's Christmas party. How can you be fighting? I don't know, Renee. I don't know.
A
I mean, he doesn't seem like he's. Well, I wonder if it had to do with like his sobriety. And his parents are like, are you on something?
B
Why are you at this party?
A
Or you. I don't know if he was sober from drinking or if it was just drugs.
B
I don't know.
A
This is what he looks like now. So all the photos we're seeing of him are like these photos here, right?
B
Yeah, this is Michelle and Rob. So this is. This.
A
I believe this was an AOL build. Remember they used to do those panels? It was like AOL build.
B
And people would come and talk about their projects.
A
They're like movies or new TV shows.
B
So this was him 10 years ago, but apparently this is him now.
A
Wow.
B
Crazy, crazy, crazy. Him with a hat. That's interesting. So he seems to have put on a lot of weight because. Yeah, if this is him, Nick has been arrested and murdered her. Interesting.
A
He's losing his hair.
B
He's got his beard grown out. It's interesting because all the photos that we see of them, of the family,
A
they're like, he looks young.
B
So it appears that only recently has he started to let himself go. Interesting. Yeah. These are all the different, like, photos of him. Yeah. What a difference. Wow. Crazy, crazy times, right? What could they possibly be fighting about? I don't know, Ashley. I don't know. Drugs can age you so fast. Well, I mean, it sounds like he was on drugs for a while. Yeah. The latest picture shows something was definitely wrong.
A
Yeah. He does kind of look like Andy Signor. Oh, no.
B
He does, though, once you say you can't unsee it. He looks a bit more jacked. I mean, if that's what we're calling fat now, Tanya. Yeah, he definitely looks more jacked. No, he looks chubby. The Stranger Things trailer was released earlier. Volume two, for anyone interested. Sorry.
A
Side note. Cat. Cat, you're late to the game. We talked about that at the top of the show.
B
He looks very angry in that photo.
A
Yeah, he just kind of had, like,
B
an angry demeanor to him.
A
Everyone says why he looked like Andy. He does kind of look like Andy. It's like the Menendez brothers level stuff, maybe. I mean, I was watching the trailer for Being Charlie, which is the. I think it was the book that
B
he wrote that his dad decided to make into a film. I was watching the trailer for that,
A
and in it, he seemed like he was in and out of rehab, really
B
struggling with drugs and alcohol. I don't know if it was alcohol, but definitely drugs.
A
And. But that was 10 years ago when
B
he was talking about his sobriety journey,
A
and he looked relatively healthy then in those photos. So I don't know what's happened over the last 10 years, but it definitely seems like he's gone a little off the rails.
B
The holidays are so stressful for families. I can't imagine how his siblings are feeling right now.
A
Could you imagine your brother does that? Your brother's in jail, so you're kind of, like, having. Like, what do you even do it? Like, how do you even help your brother? Like, do you even help him? Like, is he. You know, was he troubled? Was he lost?
B
Do you help post bail? Do you help get him a lawyer?
A
Like, I don't even know what you
B
do in a situation like that, because
A
obviously that's your family, and he's troubled.
B
He's sick in the head. I don't know. I don't know. Zach, you're getting salt and pepper on your sides. Very, very sexy.
A
It's always so strange to me when people point that out, because I've had
B
it since high school. I've.
A
I've been.
B
I've had salt and pepper For a long time.
A
People haven't seen it recently because I
B
was blonde for so many years.
A
But yeah, I mean, even in my.
B
My facial hair, my chest hair, like, there's white hairs.
A
Every.
B
Every. Everything is starting to white. But yeah, the. It's nothing. It's not anything new. I always love when people think that it's something new. 11 days before Christmas always will be difficult from now on. Yeah, I think just the holiday season in general is always going to be difficult from now on. Just the fact that they live such an amazing life in your 70s, enjoying your golden years, and your kid, of all people, does that. Sick on every level.
A
I mean, well, we don't know. Like, he could have been struggling, and we may not have known about that. And that may have been, like, a
B
big stressor for them.
A
Go gray. I mean, I can't shoot. Like, it's not like I'm choosing to go gray, Susan. Like, if my hair is graying, but it has been for a while.
B
I'm used to it. I don't mind the salt and pepper again. I'm used to it. Blonde covers the gray. Trust me, I know. Yes, the blonde does cover the gray,
A
but blonde can also age you very
B
quickly, can make you look a lot older. I think they're Jewish, so Hanukkah will always be hard for them. Yeah. And it happened on what, on the first day of Hanukkah? Or was it the second day? You can choose to go. Yes, you can choose to dye your hair or go gray, but do not go back to blonde. I'm not going back to blonde anytime soon. Do you remember when the son of the Tarzan actor killed his parents also? Oh, tragic. Let's just bring back all the tragic things.
A
Things.
B
Let's just talk about all of it. Last night was the first night, so today is. Today will be the second night. All right, well, that's what I got for ya.
A
So I love you, appreciate you.
B
Hope you have a great rest of your day. And I will talk to you tomorrow. Tuesday. Tuesday.

No Filter With Zack Peter
Episode: Hollywood Tragedy: Rob Reiner Son Arrest for Fatal Stabbing & Justin Baldoni Claps Back at Blake!
Date: December 15, 2025
This episode of "No Filter With Zack Peter" dives into a whirlwind weekend of pop culture and reality TV news, focusing on three major stories:
With Zack's irreverent, unfiltered style, the episode mixes rundown, commentary, and live chat interaction, seasoning it all with signature wit and shade.
Quote & Reflection:
“It's just heartbreaking. Regardless of their politics, they're human beings that were murdered in their home by their son. The details of it are tragic, and my heart breaks for their family.” (36:28)
“Not the time, not the place. Don’t fucking say anything… Sometimes intrusive thoughts don’t need to be tweeted and posted out there.” (32:52)
"I can't imagine how his siblings are feeling right now... Do you even help him? Post bail? Get him a lawyer?" (47:43)
Quote:
“Do I think that Judge Lyman will ultimately dismiss her case? Probably not. He’s not really seemed to be favoring Baldoni at all. He seems to definitely be favoring Blake.” (14:00)
“I don't know how any of the Blake bots are so loyal to her. I mean, they’re either so blind, like Amber Heard believe women, or they're not deeply in the weeds of everything." (14:16)
This episode is a quintessential "No Filter With Zack Peter": deeply online, plugged into the news cycle, blending serious tragedy (the Reiner family) with the ongoing drama of Hollywood legal disputes and reality TV. Zack's unsparing, cheeky takes, coupled with in-depth detail and real-time audience reactions, make this a must-listen for anyone needing both the news and the shade behind it.
