Welcome to Design youn Strongest year ever, a 26 day special edition of the nonprofit Mastermind podcast. I'm your host, Rukruchi Babbage. I created this series because I believe that how your year ends is determined by what you do now in August, not in November. My work is rooted in the idea that intentional design, not more hustle, is what determines how far your mission can scale. So every day I'll share one very simple but very powerful lesson shift or tool you can use right now to prepare yourself for year end and for each one. If you sign up for the emails that go with these episodes, I've created a worksheet or prompt. You can collect them as you go and have a whole bundle. Finally, if the day's topic hits a nerve, I'll point you towards the most relevant of my implementation toolkits. For the length of this series, I'm offering 26% off all purchases. Let's dive in.

Numbers can be really seductive. They can make us feel super productive, like we're tracking all the things. But here's today's shift and it's super focused. Data itself isn't clarity. The reality is most nonprofits that are into measurement, they measure too much and they measure too much of the wrong thing and as a result, they move too little of what they actually care about. So today I want you to ask yourself this simple question. What two metrics will define a successful next quarter for this organization? Just two. Because when your team knows exactly what success looks like, they can align their time, their energy and their decisions around that definition of success and everything else becomes noise. It gets a lot easier to prioritize and make sure that you are measuring and focusing on the right things. When you narrow, you can use the KPI priority matrix that I've included in today's email to cut through your own data fog and land on the numbers that actually matter for an organization that is growing. You can get that priority matrix@brookriccybabbage.com ABC strategies and if you want help designing an entire year end dashboard that actually drives results, grab my hosted planning toolkit. I think it can help. See you back here tomorrow for letter link.

In this episode, Brooke Richie-Babbage challenges nonprofit leaders to focus on intentional, meaningful measurement rather than being seduced by the appearance of productivity through excessive data tracking. The core message: Clarify your key performance indicators (KPIs) by selecting just two critical numbers that will define your organization's success for the next quarter.
Brooke’s tone is focused, motivating, and slightly cautionary—emphasizing the need for discipline and intentionality rather than a blind chase for more data. She speaks with encouragement, providing clear, actionable advice while pushing listeners to reflect honestly on their approach to measurement.
In under three minutes, Brooke Richie-Babbage delivers a concise but powerful call to action: Strip away the noise, clarify what really matters, and let two meaningful KPIs drive your nonprofit's next quarter. With supporting tools offered to help listeners implement this approach, this episode serves as both a mindset reset and a practical guide for nonprofit leaders seeking greater impact.
