Welcome to Design youn Strongest year ever, a 26 day special edition of the nonprofit Mastermind podcast. I'm your host, Rukruchi Babbage. I created this series because I believe that how your year ends is determined by what you do now in August, not in November. My work is rooted in the idea that intentional design, not more hustle, is what determines how far your mission can scale. So every day I'll share one very simple but very powerful lesson shift or tool you can use right now to prepare yourself for year end and for each one. If you sign up for the emails that go with these episodes, I've created a worksheet or prompt. You can collect them as you go and have a whole bundle. Finally, if the day's topic hits a nerve, I'll point you towards the most relevant of my implementation toolkits. For the length of this series, I'm offering 26% off all purchases. Let's dive in. Your organization can't grow beyond the headspace that you lead from. That's why today's episode is about your leadership headspace. Because your mindset, your mental load, your default mode of operations, everything from your orientation towards abundance to the gremlins that we all have, it's all shaping your organization in ways that you don't even realize. Your organization isn't just a reflection of your plans and goals. It's a reflection of how you think about things, of the filters that you apply to your decisions, to your understanding and interpretation of things. It's the mental patterns, the habits, the beliefs you carry into every meeting, in every moment of your day. Let me give you a few examples. If your headspace is cluttered, your organization is going to feel cluttered too. If you're operating in survival mode, you'll build systems for survival, not growth. And if your leadership feels reactive, your team will always wait for direction. They're not going to move until you move. Those are the signals they're getting from you. The worst thing about all of this is that most of us didn't even choose the headspace that we're living in. It was built by urgency and pressure, by the tyranny of years of doing everything ourselves with not enough capacity and not enough funding. But here's what I want to offer you today. You can redesign your leadership headspace. And when you do, your organization will shift with you. It may seem like it's not rubber on the road. It may seem like it's not practical or tactical or hands on. But it's one of the most powerful and profound types of design you can do inside your organization. So today's prompt is also really simple but powerful. I want you to ask yourself, what's one mental habit, One way of thinking that when you really introspect and are honest with yourself, you realize is keeping you in a cramped or reactive headspace, for example, needing to be in control. That was a big one for a lot of folks that I work with. Avoiding conflict also comes up a lot with growing organizations. Feeling like you have to say yes to everything. That's another big one. I want you to take three minutes and complete the Leadership Energy Map that's included in the email with today's podcast. You can get it@brookerichybabbage.com ABC strategies it'll help you start to spot your default leadership mode and where it might be time to think about some shifts and if this hits home on a deeper level. My Leverage Leadership Toolkit is designed to walk you through exactly how to intentionally redesign all different parts of your leadership, including your leadership rhythm, so your headspace supports your vision, not just your to do list.
