Welcome to Design youn Strongest year ever, a 26 day special edition of the nonprofit Mastermind podcast. I'm your host, Brook Richie Babbage. I created this series because I believe that how your year ends is determined by what you do now in August, not in November. My work is rooted in the idea that intentional design, not more hustle, is what determines how far your mission can scale. So every day I'll share one very simple but very powerful lesson shift or tool you can use right now to prepare yourself for year end and for each one. If you sign up for the emails that go with these episodes, I've created a worksheet or prompt. You can collect them as you go and have a whole bundle. Finally, if the day's topic hits a nerve, I'll point you towards the most relevant of my implementation toolkits. For the length of this series, I'm offering 26% off all purchases. Let's dive in.

If you kick off in November planning for year end, you're already sprinting uphill. 80% of year end success is already built by October. Your clean list, your segmented priorities, story assets you're going to use your pledge calendar, your board roles. A rushed calendar burns staff energy and trust and it leaves revenue on the table. So here's what I want you to do as you're thinking about your year end and summer is a great time to start thinking about these things. First list and segments. Identify your list. Create your segments. You can do that in one week. Second second week what stories and offers are you going to provide? Right? Once you have your segments, what are you saying to each of them? What language are you going to use to draw them in and demonstrate affinity? Week 3 Set your calendar for your year end. What emails are you going to send? What calls you going to make? What tasks do you want your board to do? What is stewardship going to look like as donors give and finally finalize all of your assets, donor pages, pre drafted receipts, tracking, etc. You can do these in four weeks if you have to, but if you start earlier in the year, you build these resources as you go so that you are ready for year end long before October. In this episode's email I have created an editable countdown calendar. You can get that@brookerchubabbage.com ABCStrategies.
