Live from NPR News, I'm Dale Willman. Thousands of people marched in downtown Minneapolis today to protest the shooting death last Wednesday of Renee Goode at the hands of an ICE agent. One participant said everyone is now living in Fe. On Friday night, about 1,000 people demonstrated outside a Minneapolis hotel. While much of the protest was peaceful, some people threw rocks and ice at police. Mayor Jacob Prey says that's gotta stop.

To the few that have caused damage to property and or harm to others need to be very clear we're not gonna let that happen. If you cause damage to property or put others in dangers, you're gonna be arrested. And again, the vast majority of people have done this right. We are so deeply apprecia of them. Hundreds of protests, meanwhile, are expected this weekend in cities across the country. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he thinks Israel will be able to end its reliance on US Military aid over the next decade. He made those comments in an interview with The Economist. As NPR's Michelle Kellerman reports, Netanyahu was.

Recently in Florida visiting President Trump and says he told the US Leader that Israel has come of age and developed, quote, incredible capabilities. In the interview with the Economist, the Israeli leader did not set any specific deadlines, but he says he wants to taper off the military aid within the next 10 years. The US and Israel signed a 10 year commitment during the Obama administration that amounts to about $3.8 billion a year, much of it in grants to buy U.S. military equipment. Netanyahu is Israel's longest serving prime minister, but this could be a challenging election year for him. He often touts his relationship with Trump. Michelle Kellerman, NPR News, Tel Aviv.

The shooting spree spanned three locations. According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, 24 year old Derica Moore is accused of carrying out the rampage. Authorities say they believe he shot his first victims, three family members, at one home and drove to a second location where he killed the child. At another home, two brothers were also found dead, believed to be killed by Moore during his alleged crime run. He is also accused of stealing his deceased brother's truck, breaking into a home and attempting sexual battery on an unnamed person. District Attorney Scott Colomb said this was the worst case he had seen in his 10 years in the field, and his office would be seeking the death penalty against Moore. Moore is currently charged with first degree murder, but Colomb said those charges would be upgraded to capital murder. Ilana Wise, NPR News.
